Okay I’m gonna be so real because like. I think as the anime progresses people will start to realize how Laios’s fascination with monsters gets like. More overtly sexual. (He’s literally a deconstruction of the “plain swordsman leader” trope because he’s a total freak. And we should stop watering it down BUT. DONT GET ME STARTED.)

At first Laios is just like “they’re cool! Isn’t it fascinating how they have twice the amount of breasts as a usual tallman but they nurse their young just like us” and he starts yapping…

But if you kinda give him that smug look. Because hey. They’re TITS. And they’re HUGE. He gets a little uncomfortable and shifts in his seat. He tries to brush it off as just simple interest but he’s (canonically) a terrible liar and he’s obviously! Blushing!

its really hard to take any comparisons of stolas to other abusive characters seriously because i genuinely dont think viv comprehends shes written an abuser, the same way other authors can comprehend theyve written abusers. she self projects so heavily onto him and acts like his sass is justified to the point pretty much everyone, even fans and critics, knows that s3 will just end up with him living with blitz and working for IMP (which was foreshadowed just oh so subtly in the helluvababies season 2 premiere,) after losing everything (oh no, the consequences of my actions!) because of the full moon deal HE decided to start. he started out doing something bad, acknowledged it once (didnt even apologize to blitz for the deal btw,) and got go back to his life of luxury after his former sex slave said no to his love. he took advantage of the main character in the very first episode and will still be rewarded with him presented as stolas's knight in shining armor, a family who will unconditionally love him because of fucking course they will even though they know their boss had to fuck him or else they wouldnt have their "meal ticket", and eventually, most probably, his daughters forgiveness after she cut him out of his life for.. taking antidepressants. not for neglecting her, not for not teaching her anything about the book she was solely created for, for 17 years, before letting someone else have it without a single worry of what could happen to it, and certainly not because she cheated on his mom with some "weird red dickhead" i can watch other shows with the understanding (most of the time) that that character probably will receive some kind of growth, karma, acknowledgement, or change of their terrible behavior if theyre intentionally written as toxic. or, if their toxicity is supposed to be the point, for them to go full ham with it. helluva boss is neither to me; its abuse tactics and toxic patterns presented as good, like gaslighting, triangulation, and codependency. and an audience like vivs will digest these ideas subconsciously as good if they have no critical thinking skills of their own, which most of them dont. and all while being too afraid to actually hold abusers accountable in a setting like hell of all places. thats why none of the characters even acknowledge the actually shitty things stolas does and arent allowed to not forgive him- because the creator herself is an abuser who doesnt understand, or doesnt want to understand, that being held accountable is about ALWAYS acknowledging the mistakes you made and STILL trying to be better, even if the people you hurt still hate you. not apologizing once, and then getting pissed someone didnt automatically forgive you, as if your remorse means you're entitled to forgiveness. thats how stolas thinks, because thats how she thinks, and thats terrible. i cant even watch these shows in a "im a messy bitch who lives 4 drama" way as much as i want to because watching an abuser get everything he wants after a season of straight up cloaca sucking is NOT drama. its just incredibly depressing and makes me think about the piles of money that couldve been used to make anything other then this, instead of the creators self insert fanfiction of "no one is allowed to judge my character based on my past selfish actions: the overpriced, overstuffed with expensive celebs while i claim i cant fairly pay my animators i force to work exclusively on my shows the musical!"

I think you're spot on, unfortunately. If it weren't for the fanbase slavishly, cultishly lapping up everything Viv gives them and making it a point to incorporate it into their own lives, it would be a fascinating look at how an abusive person sees themselves. Stolas's justifications really are Viv's justifications, and she'll never see him as an abuser for the same reason she'll never see herself as one.

Oh gods I'm rewatching httyd (just the first movie) and I'm just in love! No other words for how much i absolutely LOVE this movie

Recently I've been having this issue where i can't simply enjoy a movie. I'm way too aware of its errors in storytelling and animation, even on some movies i used to enjoy as a kid!

Not that every movie is like that, but like, recently not many movies I've been able to sit down and appreciate it. But httyd, i just- i sat through the whole movie admiring it, pointing out small notes that progressed through the story, small callbacks on some scenes to stuff mentioned before (like, i obviously didn't pick up on as a little kid barely at a 2 digit number, so dont judge me for pointing out a possible obvious point, but when Hiccup mentions how the dragons aren't fireproof on the inside when Toothless blew flames inside the terrible terror and it was later used to Kill the dragon queen!! Like! Or the part when Gobber talked about how to defeat a dragon is by aiming at it's wings bc "a downed dragon is a dead dragon" and they used that against the dragon queen!!! Like i can point out so many things here gang, i could!). It all so perfectly fit the "beginning, middle and end" of a story that I've had drained in my head at school man

Genuinely, i loved every aspect of this movie, with no complaints! Idk how else to express it.

I felt like a little kid watching it again, i felt like that little kid that first watched that movie one friday night when my dad said he found a new movie for us to watch together.

And it all makes me so much more disappointed with the 3rd movie and how it went, but that's for another future rant. When i reach my limit and can't hold back anymore from complaining about it like everyone else already did (seriously it's nothing new, nothing anybody hadn't heard already, it be useless to talk about it now, I'd be screaming into the void, but I'm really starting to reach a limit by not having someone to talk about it)

That last piece got me thinkin, well moreso the accident was definitely a wakeup call for the MC, they should really take their life insurance and will more seriously! In case of their untimely demise, it would be her utmost priority to leave her estate to her darling boys (and a hired caretaker for Bo).

But I imagine being a "rich bitch tm" is no easy feat, I mean who knows wat distant great-uncle-aunty-twice-removed-cousin is waiting in the bushes for their time to strike and seize their assets??

And with how Hybrids are already stigmatized and discriminated against, how much convincing would it take a judge to relinquish those assets to them? After all they share blood (somewhere in their bloodstream), and a den of wild animals aren't "smart enough to handle a true human's business" they're just a bunch of strangers, pets, in Nick's case they could all just be paid for whores who took advantage of their treasured relative! (What was her name again?)

And She was so ill! She wasn't in her right mind, what with her grief over her parents, it was truly a tragic day when that random piano fell upon her from a 10 foot drop, as she recovered from...some illness or another.

I mean what are the odds of a piano being moved to the second floor of a beach resort on a busy saturday afternoon 10 minutes after she accidentally ingested a poisoned margarita and was fine? perhaps it was her mother who was allergic to pineapples- but in any case It was Tragic! surely!!

Daun is named the Executor, which means she's the individual appointed with carrying out the instructions, and affairs of the deceased, as well as an inheritor of an equal portion of the total sum of MC's estate, its only fair after all. (Idk anything about law but in this universe of my mind Daun has the human privileges of editing the will if she wants bc they're second class citizens. And she wont ofc! :):) why would she? :):) )

It's so exciting! To MC and Daun it's like marrying ur best friend, with the added bonus of fantastic sex! And Im certain Daun wouldn't shy away from getting to know the boys on an interpersonal level now, Simoun too! Daun's always wanted to be a cool mom, we'll be spending so much time together, if MC kicks the bucket, and Daun is left in charge, well, it's only natural that they be on their best behavior. Wouldn't want to end up homeless or right back in that dreadful shop with someone who is far more poor, and a hundred times crueler than MC, reduced from a partner to a pet in an instant... oh excluding Daun, of course!

She wants to start fresh after that terrible dinner party, So long as there are No threats, No blackmailing with that silly little information Barry found,

it's not Daun's fault her father was a part of a Human-Hybrid Crime Syndicate. She just has to live with it! And she already told her sob story to MC. And ofc they dont harm anyone else unless they're planning something Really dangerous...like setting a hybrid orphanage on fire, or skimming a little extra off the top of-...the "charity" funds that Daun's sector handles.

Just Smiles, and Charity galas hosted on their new shared estate. where they're dressed and buffed, seen but not heard. Charming if they have to be, when approached, to get people on their side.

Once people's minds change about hybrids, it makes it easier to conduct her family's business. And If Simoun gets a little snippy, or bratty by breaking things its their job as the older siblings to let it slide, he was practically a little prince in his old life within the Crime Syndicate. Practically posted right on top of her father's lap 24/7 and spoiled rotten.

it also wouldnt be difficult to convince MC that boys will be boys~ she's practically wrapped around Daun's little finger. All those concerns of "manipulation" and "coercion" they're just territorial! Yknow how they were when MC was on that business trip.

But Im making it seem worse than it is, Daun makes it clear that if they're cool to her, she'll be cool with them, they can even pretend to like each other in front of MC if they cant seem to get along after a while once they settle in. Oop! If you dont fall for her yourself of course! She really is the nicest human! They can learn to love each other. She wont judge them for being hybrids, will love them as her own, spoil them for every birthday and holiday with MC by her side, play with them if they'd like! And look the other way when they engage in their bedroom affairs that would definitely slander MC's image in the eyes of the disapproving public. But Nick should know how hypocritical humans can be when they hire his services in secret! Hell Daun can use that if he's ever interested~

And if by some happenstance over a cup of tea late at night if they run into each other...she could inquire if, Bo...Jack... or Rory may want to help get rid of some threatening Anti-Hybrid radicals.

Those big muscles and sharp teeth can sure come in handy during runs-No? It's fine if not, it would just reaaaally help MC out, given that they're so mean to hybrid sympathizers like them during their shared campaigns, so many hurtful comments and the occasional death threat. But Daun's sure its probably just some edgy teen commenting anonymously for attention.

MC also wouldnt want them getting hurt! She loves them so much, and endures...so much for them to have a happy life, oh..they didnt know about that?? not even with Barry's meddling?? Augh, of course she would never tell them about it~ I guess Daun is just.... better at easing her burdens~! ^-^ Hybrid Activists gotta stick together after all,

the extent of me shipping pairings is honestly taking two fucked up guys and going "now what if they bonded over this" like if we look like at any of my fav pairings, this is just the essentials.

jonouchi x yami marik is great because they can both bond over a history of growing up violent with varying levels of sociopathy (if we consider s0 jonouchi as explicitly canon) and the shared trauma of an abusive father that you loathe. how they came from a similar start point with a totally different path they ended up walking. how yami marik is a reflection of "what could have been" if jonouchi's life continued to go downhill, perhaps if he never befriended yugi. how they're perfect foils for each other.

i got the idea to ship kirihara x ikuina because i found them both to be terribly relatable characters, both putting on a facade of normalcy while craving nothing more than to give in to their latent desire. the juxtaposition of those desires being so similar, yet slightly different, and despite that, they could find comfort in each other, knowing neither one would judge them for their indulgence. ikuina literally stated to towa that he hoped to find more likeminded people after their experience together, so i love to imagine that his path crosses with kirihara/mizuno.

i actually don't ship anything in milgram but i like the idea of a 01 09 friendship :) they both sorta crave approval and hope to maintain the status of never having done anything wrong while being arguably the two most mentally ill themed characters in the series.

Do you think it’s gonna be an all new plot line or will they continue on the precap they provided us with in the finale of the last episode?

LOL glad to be of service. here's some scattered thoughts:

the plotline snippets we've been given seem to be picking up/focusing on the eunseom and ago tribes subplot the most imo, with some like king arthur/one sword to rule them all flavor. since i dont think kim sung cheol/ipsaeng is coming back, i wonder how that is going to go (im guessing ipsaeng dies somewhere in that 8 year time skip)

we havent seen ANY saya in the promo materials so far, which has me like mildly concerned lol because he was my favorite character in the OG, and also seems to signify the twin switcheroo indicated by that little animated epilogue to s1

the fact that tagon and tae al ha are gonna have an elementary-school aged child running around is sure to be important lmfao. god help that child and/or the people around that les enfant terrible

my guesses for plotline boils down to:

central focus on eunseom leading this massive rebellion of unified tribes (perhaps not doing very well and/or on the run). ipsaeng probably killed off between seasons, the merpeople leader probably also killed off between seasons due to the actress' scandals -- maybe her baby that eunseom rescued shows up and is important later? the "sword of aramun" is something needed to boost morale again and/or solidify control of the tribes' and earn their loyalty

tae al ha going to be lady macbething and probably doing a good job at it judging by the size of her hair in the promos. tagon is going to be the king during this time, but probably beaten/worn down and less directly ambitious than he was in the plot of trying to secure the throne in s1

tanya better have more to do. this is my lil hope because i think she deserved more screentime/plotlines in the first season. would love her spiritual powers to go full on eldrich abomination style (more of her freaky curses please!!)

i think the twins swap identities at some point -- or eunseom has to pretend to be saya & during this is when he and tanya finally reunite. i will be so upset if saya is killed off, but i am a lil nervous that he's not in any of the promo and didnt get a teaser trailer like the rest of the mains

yangcha and mubaek are back!! this just makes me happy

Ahh sorry for the late reply!!! You are allowed to make recommendations but that doesnt guarantee that I’ll get into them. I dont have as much freetime as i used to im afraid… alas

Complete fangans

Danganronpa another - 8/10, pretty good! Follows Trigger Happy Havoc a little closely in spots, but whenever it does that it’s trying to subvert whatever its mirroring in the first game. The cast is fun and bounces off eachother really well

Super danganronpa another 2 - 7/10, while it does improve in a lot of aspects when compared to the first game on both a technical and story level, I honestly preferred the first game to the second one. I was spoiled for most of the events in this game and the whole luck transfer thing was really convoluted. It’s still good tho! 

Danganronpa Lapse - 7/10, I really liked the unique artstyle, and the reduced cast allowed for everyone to shine a little bit more! The story was good as well, tho echos whole thing could’ve been explained more clearly. honestly this didn’t even need to be a Danganronpa game, it felt the weakest whenever it was trying to do that. Although I did enjoy the trials

In-progress fangans: have at least 2 chapters out

Danganronpa blowback: 6/10. Not the biggest fan tbh. It does have some cool ideas and characters but when it misses it misses hard. Granted this is one of the oldest fangans ive played, so some aspects can be forgiven based on that. I do wonder if it wouldve gotten better or worse had it gone on for longer

Danganronpa antebellum: 9/10. I had so much fun when playing this game its unreal. Its not perfect by a long shot, it definitely feels like a fangame, but thats whats so great about it. It doesnt take itself too seriously, which is an issue that can easily affect a fan project. The designs for the cast are super fun and i cant say that there's any characters i actively dislike. 

Danganronpa despair time: 9/10. Another really good one! It takes advantage of the medium its presented rather well. The story so far is really good and the parts “inspired” by the mainline games are changed up enough where it makes the tropes feel refreshing. I dont like all the characters but hey its rare to have an entire cast of faves

Just started fangans: only the prologue / first chapter is out

Project edens garden - 7/10. It’s got me hooked! I found the prologue very interesting. It set up the characters well and let them have a chance to shine while also setting up the main story. I found the animal theming interesting and am excited to see where it goes. I just also really like the art style. Each characters color palette is really distinct and i really like that :]

Danganronpa (he)artless deceit - 6/10. It’s alright. On a technical level it's very impressive, and it's clear the people making this really care about it! It just… didn't really click with me. A couple characters did interest me, but i wasn't very invested in the main two focused on in the proluge. I'll be interested to see where it goes but atm I'm more of an observer than a fan.

Danganronpa mauve - 5/10. I dont know what to think about this one. Its only got one chapter out so its hard to judge it, but it just didnt really captivate me all that much. Its clear a lot of work and time has been put into this, and i can totally see how someone could like this! Its just not my cup of tea X]. Out of every fangan ive seen this definitely feels the most like a danganronpa game, but thats a double edged sword. The characters were alright, but it felt… odd to me how many of them resembled characters from other fangans or the mainline series (looking at you satsuki).

Genshin character Judgement after all these years of playing. I will judge looks, personality, and say my favorite voice! Starting with 4-stars, alphabetical order.

Aside from his goofy ass shoes I really like Sethos' design! His personality too is pretty great... I do not have him tho. How upsetting (tho I guess I wouldnt be using him as he is a bow DPS so it doesnt actually matter LMAO) His color palate is very fun and i really like his acid green eyes. I wish he had a dark skin tone tho.

His EN voice is definitely my favorite. The VA reminds me a lot of Ittos where hes just so animated and fun. Sethos' AHH ITS A MONSTER chest opening line is SO fucking funny. Love him. His KN voice is kinda weird.

Oh Kuki... her design is SO fun. The color palate is so standout. The fact she is the straight-man only female character in a group of goofy dudes trope is so lame. I hate that trope so much it prevents me from liking her as much as I would have... sorry babe its not your fault.

All her voices are good. I have no strong opinions just like her personality.

OOH BABYGIRL. Shes so cute. Her personality really shined in the Windblume festival with Sucrose. It was so lovely. Ive always loved Sucrose but that really justified it for me. I also surprisingly really like the navy with her seafoam green hair and gold eyes. its a little weird but fun!

I really like the voices besides the JP which sounds a little too baby to me but my favorite is the EN. I like that its somewhat whispery and soft spoken but also very earnest. It really displays the character well.

Whenever I look at him I think 'I HAVE THE POWER OF GOD AND ANIME ON MY SIDE' Goofy ass design. His shoes... ya know I just noticed how weird they are... why did they even bother to open the toe if they were just gonna cover them anyways.... GOOFY ASS DESIGN. Personality tho? S TIER. Good lad. I thought hed be like Childe cuz they look so much alike.... and thats kinda true. Thoma is like Childe if Childe didnt have rabies ya know? LMAO

I like all his voices except EN... not that EN is terrible but the others are just way better.

MY BABYGIRL. Xiangling is so god damn cute and normal in this fucked up magical world. This bitch is just a normal ass cook in a weird environment... it reminds me kinda like in a dream like you see weird shit around you but your dream self just sorta reacts to it like its some mundane thing... Like the fact Xiangling sees a massive Hydra about to destroy the city she is in and her first thought is 'I wonder what that tastes like' LIKE BITCH WHAT!? LMAO... I love her. Wacky ass broad.

All her voices are pretty great. I like her CN VA best.

Oh Xingqiu... hes either a proper upstanding young man... or a troll. It can go either way. Technically hes probably my least favorite Liyue-born character... but I still like him. I really like he design too. Even tho the shorts are kinda goofy. He did get a costume but it just looks like a shittier version of Furis so I dont use it.

All his voices are pretty good. I have no preference.

MY BABIEST GIRL. I love Xinyan. Her design (somewhat detached sleeves aside) and her personality are both S tier. I do think her lore is pretty funny tho... because its like 'People dont like Xinyan because of her nontraditional styles of music and fashion!!!' but every character in game falls in love with her instantly... LMAO Which??? Fair. Shes truly lovely but Id actually LIKE to see her struggle against the prejudice she supposedly receives. Fingers crossed for a hangout event!

Her JP and KN voices are my favorite! theyre very fun. Her EN voice was certainly a choice... heres what I think happened... She has the same VA as Barbara and Barbaras early voice sounded more rough and raspy... I think when Xinyan was being voiced they must have realized the voice was similar to Barbaras early voice(which did not fit her) and didnt want to confuse the players so they gave her a weird accent. Now she sounds like Applejack. LMAO Weird ass choice. They could never get me to hate you tho Xinyan.

Yanfei.... I love you but your design is a lot like Chevs and Kirara sexy at the expense of good design. Although unlike them I like most of the elements of your design. or maybe rather I like the accessories? Even the detached sleeves! But the main outfit is so fucking lame its crazy.

Her EN and JP voices are best for me. IDKY she sounds so baby in CN and KR... a rare L for the CN VA casting director.

OOOH MY BABY YAOYAO. Her design was a leaked SO long ago and I anxiously waited for her... shes so damn cute! I love her colors, overall design, the fact she acts like a grandma.... shes so cute. I love when babies act like adults (in a professional sense. like that Haribo commercial where theyre dressed in business outfits talking about gummibears... its so fucking cute and funny. Shes like that.) She also has a very fun kit! And i C6d her so easily! Blessed.

All her voices are pretty good. CN is my favorite.

ANOTHER BABYGIRL. Liyue is so full of babygirls. The nation of babygirls fr. The only thing I DONT like about her is how she reminds me that the HYV team can do really great work showing the culture which the nations are inspired by but they dont even do HALF as well with Sumeru or Natlan despite those regions having so much good cultural aesthetic to work with. SMDH. Yun Jin is gorgeous and she has a very cute personality. I love that shes besties with Xinyan. thats so damn cute.

Appropriately I love the CN voice the most but all of them are pretty good.

NOW IDK the star-rating or VAs for the Natlan cast so Im just judging that these are 4-stars. I THINK Kachina has been confirmed 4-star.

Kachina has a VERY cute design I think based on the PIKA or some volcano rabbit I forgot what people were saying. I wish they went with a different color palate overall but she is very cute.

Iansan also has a really nice design overall. I like the goldenrod & orange color with the purple (like with Sethos) however they did change the vibe of her from the old trailer. She seems much more subdued now and they made her skull accessory more cutesy. Shame. But still... how many white hair elf babies do we need?

Citlali is probably one of my least favorite designs. I do like the colors... but other than that. Her personality also seems kinda annoying tsundere-ish which means she'll be insufferably popular cuz god forbid weebs have taste.

Ugh... gross. The more i look at Chascas design the less I like it. if shes not a 4-star I'll be surprised.

I LOVE THE WAY U VIEW IT THOUGH i never thought about it that way . but yes his work is so unrecognized by others!!!! the fact that had tobirama not been there, not ANY of the villages would've been as advanced as they are now . he literally influenced the whole damn world . i keep saying hes the best hokage and it pains me to see people only remember the fact that he hated the uchiha clan . im not saying that he didn't, but im kinda sick of people judging his hokage reign on that and THAT alone

also yes!!! when u think about it in a more realistic light, i think that it could be very interesting . naruto, despite the ninja jutsu things reminds us a LOT abt real life wars, esp with pain's arc and the fact that his country got caught up in the war. it echoes a lot with the terrible things that happen in our world . AHH im so sorry abt spamming reblogs n stuff ik this is weird but ive NEVER spoken to naruto abt someone who likes it too before, im used to rambling abt it to my friends and them listening but not replying cuz they never watched it and don't plan to either
