this is a long shot and i'm sorry to ask, but if you don't mind, can mutuals (or contacts or regulars... just... this community) of mine who aren't jumping ship like... let me know? will any of us still be here? is it over? i'm trying to know if this really is it or what's... even happening. i hate to reassurance seek but i'm feeling pretty miserable and confused.
edit: felt like i was being really pitiful and fragile making this but everybody is being so nice to me and responding so patiently with all your thoughts and i'm in tears of gratitude thank you thank you thank you 💖

任務 // @airusu - Sasori
It was hard to believe that the man standing before her was the very man she had believed to be dead. Everyone had sacrificed so much on that day, Chiyo having sacrificed the most. Fists slowly gave way to her anger, curling tightly and trembling with the heavy weight of her emotions. Emerald orbs narrowed before she ultimately did the one thing that made the most sense to her — genjutsu release. After all, surely he couldn't still be alive; this was a trick from someone else who knew of that day. She refuted the notion that he could still be alive somehow, or rather, she didn't want to believe that all those sacrifices were for naught.
❝ Who are you?! ❞ She demanded after a moment, swallowing the urge to speak with her fists over her words. She knew that at this moment, she needed to err on the side of caution to ensure she was not falling into a trap. ❝ It's pretty bold of you to walk around wearing the face of a dead man. ❞ She added with a scoff, disdain lacing each word that she spoke. By every sense of the word, she was analytical, yet she couldn't grasp the possibility that the man before her was the same man she once faced in battle. Without hesitation, she released kunai in his direction to deduce whether or not her mind was playing tricks on her.
❝ What do you hope to accomplish being here? ❞ She inquired, more so to try and gauge the level of a threat the man before her posed. She had no authority to interrogate him; truthfully, she should retreat to her village and report the sighting — even if an investigation came to nothing. The last time she faced a shinobi of his caliber, she had given it her all but still needed someone to help her take him down. ❝ I highly doubt you're just passing through either, so don't you dare give me that! ❞ She added, after all, if she were in his position, that would be the first thing she attempted to explain away her being there.
If she were to be completely honest, she did not want a fight, though she probably should have thought about that before casting the first knife. More than anything, she wanted answers; she wanted her childish notion that this was some genjutsu or transformation jutsu to be true. ❝ I doubt you even know about the man or the organization you're posing as. ❞ She wanted to bait him into admitting everything — who he was and what he wanted.
