Oda was talking about Hyori, wasn't he? If I remember correctly he refers to her beauty in a similar way to how he does Hancock and Shirahoshi. At least at the time everyone was sure that this was who Oda was talking about.

Honestly...kinda spaced on Hiyori. That was a quick reblog while I was on break at work but your Q gave me something to think about the rest of the day. It's hard to say though, because given the context of the note it could actually apply to both her and Kiku. It came out about six months before Wano. Looking at it again there isn't exactly anything to go on that specifically makes me think of either/or. Both have a unique facial design that's very pretty, Hiyori's role as an Oiran and Kiku's reputation + poster girl role are both examples of renowned beauties. If you got way more technical than needed you could look at a few examples where we see similar language used for Kiku as say, Cavendish but from a design standpoint that wouldn't translate, and the Log Collection would have come out before Wano so any discussion would be speculative. So I'll walk that 99% back to a 50/50, with one caveat.

Oda could have been thinking of one person then and still ended up applying to both. Something that was ruminated upon with one of the Road to Laughtale specials. Keeps with the theme because it's the other half of the Fallensnowfan post I reblogged. The thing we're talking about was far enough out a lot of big details of Wano may not have been finalized. Basic idea; looked like the implication was Kiku & Izo were an early concept, we had an idea around a gang of samurai for a long time, but the two weren't rolled together until later. Hiyori wasn't really heavily hinted...I could see a rough draft of Wano where the two were one and still work. As much as there is to say about this with Yamato, it's a three-way foil dynamic.

DPxDC Idea

Danny working at Wayne Enterprises as some sort of engineer, uses the in-house app for all his blueprints and stuff

He starts getting notes from a coworker in-app, and assumes its this annoying older guy in his department who constantly undermines him because of his age, despite his education and past achievements (i feel like in this AU the Fentons react well to the reveal and they work together on a number of non-lethal ecto inventions that have Danny's name attached to them)

Except one day his coworker mentions never using the app, and Danny suddenly realizes there's only one other TD he could've been arguing with in the notes of the app

Yes yes I agree that if Percy should've remembered anyone it should've been Sally, but please, please, please understand that a) Hera was actively fucking with his memories, it's not that Annabeth was who he remembered, it was that Annabeth was who Hera wanted him to remember and b) the reason was because Annabeth has ties to California!! And Hera needed Percy to go there. If Percy remembered anyone else, he would've been headed straight for NYC and her whole "switch the boys" thing wouldn't have worked.

Yeah, part of the Wolf House training is making the journey from the Wolf House to Camp Jupiter but Percy isn't headed there because that's the plan, he's headed there because his memories tell him that Annabeth is connected to it. If his memories said "your mom is in New York", he would've said fuck the plan and walked in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to go.
