That scene when Dazai tells Kunikida about being a former Port Mafia executive. Kunikida was “the only one who didn't know it”. His usual working duo, and perhaps the closest people in the ADA. Kunikida should know, but doesn't, up to that point. I was thinking, why is that, exactly? I don't think Kunikida is just oblivious.

What if Dazai thought “such a morally upright guy couldn't ever see me in another light if I introduced myself from my past, not my present”? What if Dazai didn't want Kunikida to think poorly of him, and hid it on purpose?

Dazai was once “a person with a reputation”, and a frightening one. Odasaku dared to approach him despite that, also despite the hierarchy imbalance. Ignoring/reconsidering first impressions isn't something many people are willing to do.

What if he started fresh without any reputation this time?

Everyone knew that already. Dazai didn't care much about “what they'll think of me”. It “doesn't matter”.

Except for one specific person.

One must study hard, rigorously, poring themselves utterly into tomes and practice, and even then, those practitioners of magic that whittle years for mastery? Not even a quarter of them can dream to hold that coveted distinction. Gale, being a conductor of all the elements, was one of the few, both respected and notable. Even now, Gale, though unable to tap into that power he once had, is incredibly well-versed in high arcana. Truthfully, it hurts him to know he's information he can't use, but you should have seen him work when he still possessed the skill... All that secret lore there for the reckoning! All that half-forgotten knowledge there for his use! Not only had Gale known spells most wizards and sorcerers alike could hardly think to conceive, but he was able to warp them with a flick of his fingers, too. In fact, this very man manipulated nature to his control. Casting firebolt with thunder? Or freezing flesh with flames? He was able to do it all, and he'd even the knack for turning spells back to sender, a mere counterspell turned caster's regret. Now Gale, stripped of power, yearns for this strength again. The netherese blight sucks at it. Knowing what he had been, it makes the coping with who he's become infinitely harder, truthfully—and that's saying nothing of his orb or his new illithid companion.

as promised…the fab four mandalorians AU!! pitched to me by & made with a lot of consultation with @todreamsweetofme the basic concept is of the four as a clan (with a mousekat-loth cat signet!) and the girl as their foundling :} i am no expert on mandalorian culture BUT i gave it my best shot and i had a LOT of fun designing four unique sets of armor!

Kinda a robosona, kinda an OC. Somewhere in between. They are the person I become when I am In The Zone (kitchen). It's too hot to make curry, but I can't stop thinking about it...

I went with the concept of a humanitarian aid robot (who goes to disaster zones and makes tons of food for the affected) who runs a cooking blog in their off time. The bell pepper shield is meant to double as a cutting board/serving plate (it's the future, I'm sure they've figured out how to make surfaces that automatically clean themselves, lol)

Colors wise, they are literally curry and rice. Plus red/orange/yellow bell pepper, spinach, and carrot (the belt embellishment is meant to read as one of those decorative gems megaman loves so much, but also it's totally a slice of carrot)

I couldn't resist giving them a bowl hat (no actual curry in it tho, it's just colored that way)

Love that is welcoming, one that encompasses you in its warmth. The feeling of a warm mug after a cold day. Familiar huffs of laughter respond in the air as you lean on each other for balance. The feeling of falling on a soft bed of clouds on a nice sunny day. Of waves lapping at sand on a beach.
