my datemate has been thoroughly educating me about final fantasy 7, including showing me the movie, which had absolutely zero plot whatsoever and it was PERFECT that way??? like. must a movie have things happen in it. can it not simply be an hour and forty minutes of flexing how many polygons the animation department has access to now via baller fight scenes loosely strung together to make a character study. advent children was a masterpiece, you cannot change my mind.

Please don't crucified me if this headcanon is deemed unrealistic in real life. (´;ω;`)
More notes / detailed notes:
stayed & travelled with the Figs for awhile -- after being found, before finally dropped of to an institution, as the Figs think their travelling life style is not really suitable to raise a child
quickly picked up civilization as he is an intelligent child (that's why he is a ravenclaw)
exchanged letters with the travelling Figs during his time at the institution / orphanage
was a really helpful child during his time at the institution / orphanage that he is close with the staff
he thinks of befriending people is a way of learning & by helping them he gets to experience a lot of different things
a mellow temperament child in general (just like how it is ingame)
likes exploring (bcs damn! we really going places in that game)
picked the silly 'Alex Xander' name himself, maybe he heard a mother called her child with that name once and he is obsessed with that name ever since.
he always writes Xander as his 'family name' to show that he is complete even without a family
actually a bit older than his classmates, as he went through extra few years to catch up to civilization as a feral child

#anyhow i really love our barn owl; she's so beautiful but with a face like biscuit

Is Tee just gonna let Zo and Joke be . . . be happy?
Episode 11 brought no couple conflict whatsoever, not even a sprinkle of it, so the boys are going into episode 12 solid as a boulder.
The families seem okay with everything.
No one's gonna die.
A time jump isn't needed. *tilts head in confusion*
Seriously, all's well.
So why can't I trust this, fam? Why am I so scared? Is it because Joke's entire family is wearing red next week?
That's nothing. It's nothing. Joke has been red, and Zo is yellow. I've known that. I'm good! Everything is good!
So episode 12 will be totally normal and happy which is crazy for a Tee show, but he is doing something different, and I love it because it'll be great and nothing sad or bad will happen because it just can't happen in the last episode since there is no time jump and the families are okay with everything and no one is dying and there is no couple conflict so no one is going to have to pick between their head and their heart or their family and their boyfriend or life and love because this is smooth sailing to the end baby with only some minor happy tears!
Right!
Right?

Chronic shipper brain disease aside, my greatest hope for the HD re-releases of AJ, DD, and SoJ is that it reels in some more naruodo enjoyers / tolerators.
Not shippers, per say (although that would be nice), but at least people who see their fun broken-but-then-mended hero worship dynamic across all three games,
look at the fan art and fan fics made about it, and go, “It may not be my thing, but I get the appeal,” instead of picking up their metaphorical pitchforks because of an 11-year age difference between two unrelated adults who met as adults.

looking back on season 2, Izzy dying literally doesn't even make the top five issues that I had with the season. there were so many issues that were pretty blatant while initially watching season 2 but I didn't want to focus on them because I was still having fun watching the show. then izzy died and i wasn't having fun anymore. izzy dying didn't make the show suck, it just made it hard to ignore that the show sucked.
