What does dating the RIIZE members feel like?

With everything going on in the riizevile, I thought I should post something light-hearted and cute. Although there are many of these kinds of posts circulating, I'd like to add my own twist on this by adding tarot.

Remember: I don't know them personally. These are just interpretations based on tarot cards. The true nature of dating each member would depend on their true individual personalities.

☆ Shotaro (The Magician) The magician card was strong in this one. A relationship with him could feel exciting and full of surprises. He might be full of surprises and constantly have something interesting up his sleeve. He brings playful energy to the relationship, keeping things fresh and interesting.

He might be the type to surprise his partner (you) on their birthday or during anniversaries. The giggly and happy-go-lucky Shotaro you see on screen might be the Shotaro behind the screen. I think he is secretly attentive, so, surprising his partner is something he likes to do. He might get something you've been talking about or wanting to get, and then, BAM! comes your birthday and he got it for you as a surprise. My assumption is that he likes to see them smile and he appreciates a good "Aw, thank you, babe".

☆ Eunseok (The Page of Wands, The World, and The Empress) Eunseok is a "little" hard to read. He is clear as day but is also full of surprises. You will not know what is going on in his brain. He is unexpectedly full of surprises. I admit he is a bit of a wild card.

In some ways, he is a little similar to Shotaro. Dating Eunseok could be exciting and full of life. He might be impulsive and bring a fun, light-hearted vibe to the relationship. I say could because he gives off a serious vibe to me, but he can still poke fun at his partner (you), throw playful/sarcastic remarks, and banter with him is fun.

He might be the boyfriend who unexpectedly brings/invites you to a board game cafe, cat cafe, dog cafe, park, or late-night food adventure. Your reaction would be something like this, "Huh? Now?" and he would nonchalantly say "Yeah, now" with a shrug.

I know I said this is a tarot reading, but Sungchan is such a Virgo. He also has his Venus in Leo. Being needed and then complimented will make him smile from ear to ear.

Dating him will make you feel like you're bettering yourself. So you might need to be on your toes! He will help you become a better person while still showing you support and becoming a shoulder to lean on. Definitely the type of guy who wants to see his partner (you) succeed.

Sungchan is like your life coach (not in a bad way). Additionally, I also think this is because he is continuously bettering himself, so he expects a partner who is more or less just like him. He is someone who is a little spontaneous but with a plan.

☆ Wonbin (The Hierophant and The Wheel of Fortune) His was unexpected. I thought he would be into the non-stereotypical relationship dynamic. The type to does not mind if the girl leads, but he does mind. He turns out to be quite traditional and grounded.

In a relationship, Wonbin is a bit unpredictable. Definitely not like Shotaro, Eunseok, or Sungchan. These three are spontaneous and full of surprises for different reasons. But Wonbin isn’t like them. He is unpredictable in a way that makes the relationship fun, interesting, and exciting for him. Being with him might make someone feel they’re in a constant change.

I think he might also prefer to be the provider or the one who wears the pants in the relationship. Might I say, the decision maker too. He is also loyal and respectful. But, he expects you to do the same. If you don't do the same, it would make him have second thoughts about his partner (you). Hence, for him creating a sense of security and stability in a partnership is important.

Yeah, this is why I think he’s unpredictable. You just need to follow his lead. Just imagine the actual wheel of fortune, whatever you land on is what you get. That’s how it is with Wonbin.

☆ Seunghan (The High Priestess, The Emperor, and Strength) Being with Seunghan could feel like it’s your anniversary everyday. He might be the kind of guy who listens really well and cares a lot about having a strong emotional bond with his partner (you). For Sohee, a relationship is a mutual bond between two people. Unlike Seunghan whose main focus is his partner’s happiness. Sohee thinks a relationship is when two people are happy together.

Pile 1, this person knows the significance of this connection. The first sense I got was that they may be getting Tarot readings on you? Maybe they are reading my blog right now! But, seriously, they understand how major this connection is and the more spiritual element. I won’t say just what it could be, in terms of labels like twin flames or soulmates. That’s up to you to decide, as far as what resonates for you. But, your person’s current intention is to further understand this connection and its impact in their life.

They are VERY stuck on old memories of you. I am getting old pictures, maybe on social media, texts or direct messages or even emails from the past. If it’s not that, they are just reminiscing a lot. Well, it’s not just reminiscing at this point. It is straight-up being overly fixated on the past and the way things were. There is something about that they are romanticizing. This might not even be someone you were actually committed to but they are looking at times in your past with rose-colored glasses. I also think there is a particular picture of you they keep on their phone or something and look at all the time. It is all kind of a distraction from their present life. Well, not kind of. It is a huge distraction.

They feel kind of weighed down by the current responsibilities of their life. In spite of work sometimes being a distraction, they also often try to distract themselves with work. I think they may still be stuck in the kind of flaky or inconsistent or hot and cold energy that messed things up with you.

They could be feeling a little defeatist right now. It is like the choice they made (again, possibly in a person) screwed them over. They made their bed. Now hump in it.” (If you know, you know) Yeah, I honestly don’t feel like they have any intentions right now other than dwelling on the past intentions that got them to this point. Some of you were definitely played around on by your person. I don’t get the vibe of cheating, per se, more so them just being a fuckboy/girl and choosing something impulsively. It definitely involved sex, in some way, with someone who they were casual with.

I think that this person really wants to sleep with you, either again or for the first time. But, they aren’t serious about getting committed. They think they are serious but they’re really not. Their feelings for you are more so passion. This combo of The Lovers and the Knight of Wands indicates an explosive sexual chemistry but it might be confused for something deeper when it actually isn’t. And if you are feeling open to possibly hooking up with this person, please be careful. I don’t think they will be that careful with your heart. They’re not that mature. Pile 2, to be honest, your person is not emotionally available at the moment. Ace of Cups in reverse and the Seven of Swords definitely indicate someone whose heart isn’t open and is very stuck in their head. You may be saying, “When have they ever been emotionally available?” Well, that is part of the problem. They are just furthering old patterns of theirs without much growth. Yet, they seem to be stuck on this connection. It has probably come to an end in some way and it has actually been devastating to them, even if you seemingly wouldn’t know it. But, they aren’t letting themselves really feel that. At the same time, they are believing that something can be done about this. Their current intention is to strategize and come up with a plan to get this relationship back on track. Yet, they don’t realize that they don’t need to “strategize”. They just need to get emotionally real with themselves and with you. But, that is going to take more time, unfortunately. This could either be a romantic or platonic situation. It will be romantic for many of you but not all of you. Regardless, this is someone who was never able to truly love you the way you deserved. And they know that and that is part of why they want to make it right. But, they just don’t know how to. It has led to a sort of paralysis where they are not doing anything. They might be really passive about this, sometimes, feeling like there’s not much they actually can do. I feel like there was some sort of “final straw” a lot of you reached with this person and they are wishing they could just undo whatever they did to make you throw in the towel.

If this is a romantic situation, an interesting message I am getting is that this person may currently intend on holding off on sex with anyone else. It’s like they can’t be with anyone else because all they can think about is you. This person may have even recently tried to sleep with someone they were casually dating or something and it didn’t end well. I do feel like they are sinking further and further into this sense of despair over this. Yet, they’re still trying to be… rational? They really need to let go of that. If this person would just let themselves cry, then they would be able to process all of this better. If they are male, they definitely have a toxic masculinity they need to work on. They are aware of this but it is slow progress.

They could have their Sun, Moon or Rising in Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius). I see them in this King of Wands. They do have many positive traits and I think you recognize this, even if you don’t want anything to do with them. Recently, they haven’t felt like themselves. They don’t laugh or have fun as much as they used to and I think this relationship ending is a big part of that. I feel like they intend to get back to their old selves and feel like getting with you will help them do that. Yet, they know that elements of their old self can no longer remain. Interestingly, there may be a father or father figure in their life who acts as a King of Wands influence on them. They may ask this figure for advice or seek to emulate them in order to be a better version of themselves. I also get the sense that they are afraid of really letting their father figure down in some way, as they really look at this person as highly respectable.

The King of Wands is also highly connected to the Divine. They may even see some of this energy in you. So, I also feel like they currently intend to work on their spiritual life, if they even have one. In most cases, it seems like they have little to no spiritual awareness. But, they are developing it and likely using your example as inspiration. They know you are very spiritual and are looking into certain things you have talked about before. For a lot of you, I feel like this involves astrology, which makes sense as astrology is the most “logical” of the spiritual studies. So, maybe they have recently gotten into that and they may even want to impress you with that. I think they are seeking something to keep them afloat and to nourish their spirit. They may not be able to articulate it but they are seriously struggling right now, mentally and emotionally, and spirituality can serve as a real lifeline. So, as of now, their intentions are a lot less about you and more about the things they are doing in order to rectify the loss of you.

Queen of Cups

Pile 3, I am feeling like this is about a romantic connection. Those are the vibes I am getting. They could have their Sun, Moon or Rising in the sign of Libra. I think they have this major plan right now to leave their old life behind to come toward you. And for a lot of you? This feels like a divorce they are going through with. Either a divorce or the split of a really long-term relationship. I would say this could have been a “third party” situation but I am not really getting that. I don’t even think you would see it that way because, honestly, I don’t think most of you are that pressed about this relationship.

Don’t get me wrong. You might have wanted to be with this person in the past. But, I also think you moved on from it or just decided it wasn’t worth it, maybe because they were involved with someone else. But, again, I am not getting love triangle vibes. I think this is just someone where the “potential” was there and you both felt it. But, it never came to fruition and it’s probably because they were too comfortable with someone else. I think something about this situation with that other person has fallen apart, though. I don’t think it was ever that solid of a foundation to begin with and the cracks grew and grew over time.

This person is getting more in touch with their emotions and their intuition in order to navigate their current situation. I feel like they have always felt the call to move beyond the relationship they were in, which was stifling to them in a major way. But, they didn’t because they wanted to adhere to traditions and expectations. In the process, they may have hurt you or disregarded you somehow. I think they see you as this Queen of Cups figure. So, you may have significant placements in Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces. I don’t think they treated you fairly or showed you the kindness that you were giving them. They didn’t have enough empathy or compassion for you, for some reason. You will know how that resonates. For some of you, they may have hid their relationship from you and when you discovered it, they were dismissive or inconsiderate of your feelings.

I do feel like they still expect kindness from you and, honestly, it still isn’t quite fair. It seems like they may come in, expecting everything to be okay now. Okay, I think some of you may have given them an ultimatum to choose either you or the other person. They seem to have chosen the other. I also feel like a lot of time could have passed since this, like a few years. Do they really expect for you to still be hanging on? For others of you, maybe they never really told you how they felt. Regardless, they did something kind of shady or sketchy to you in order to make room for this other relationship in their life. And now that they weren’t able to maintain that existence with that person, they feel like you are going to just welcome them back in. I get kind of a vibe of overconfidence in that way. You can do what you want but make sure that you are doing what is truly fair to you because this person might not be. They also may not have even officially or fully left this person yet. Be sure that you are getting the whole story from them!

Although they may have a certain affection or love for you, the energy here is coming across as kind of… disingenuous. It’s like, now they want to show up when their “perfect plan” with someone else fell apart. There is quite an overlap between all of the piles today. A lot of audacity in all three! You should know that you don’t need to be someone’s second choice or “back-up plan”. They could just be coming in because they feel like the grass will be greener with you. Also, if and when they come in, be sure to hold them accountable for whatever happens. They may be so charming or good with words that they are able to evade taking real ownership of their actions. If that was a problem in the past, things won’t change until that is addressed. Don’t make excuses for them. And while your empathy and kindness are wonderful qualities, don’t forget to maintain your boundaries.

As the car came to a stop, the passing university students stopped as well, staring at the luxurious sports car that just pulled up. Taehyung stepped out, removing his sunglasses and looking up at the campus.

“Who is that?”

“He’s so handsome!”

The girls fawned over him and even snapped pictures of him. But he couldn’t care less, they were not his focus now. He looked at his watch, mentally counting down the time. Just then, he spotted you walking out of the campus alone, right on time. He watched as your eyes widened in surprise upon spotting him and recognising him.

“W-What are you doing here?” You shrunk back, asking timidly.

“I’m here to take you to the law firm.” Taehyung stated with a friendly smile. He turned to walk back to his car and you stared at his receeding back, stunned for a few seconds.

“Hurry up.” He said. Finally, your brain connected with your legs and you ran forward to follow him. He opened the door for you to get into the passenger seat and you slid in quickly for him to close the door.

“Honestly, I thought it would take a lot more to get you into my car.” Taehyung chuckled as he buckled his seatbelt.

“Anything to get away from all the attention you created. So much for keeping a low profile.” You sighed with a shake of your head. Taehyung pursed his lips, not replying to your words.

“You didn’t need to come pick me up. I could have taken a bus or a cab.” You folded your arms. He just hummed, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel. After that, you didn’t attempt to make any contact or strike a conversation with him. You kept your gaze on the window.

“Hello?” Taehyung answered.

“Boss, there’s been an incident and we-”

“I thought I said that today’s my day off?” Taehyung replied, anger evident in his voice. He didn’t give the other person on the line a chance to reply before hanging up on them.

“Sorry about that!” He said to you. You just ignored him, eyes carefully shifting around the car. His phone sat in the cupholder beside his vape pen. You noticed a tarot card that was on the back of his phone.

‘The Hermit’

You didn’t know much about tarot cards or any fortune telling but for some reason, that card sent a shiver down your spine.

“We’re here.” Taehyung declared. You didn’t wait for him to open the door for you, getting out on his own when he was getting his stuff. You slung your bag over your shoulder and followed Taehyung into the building. He had his hands tucked into his pants pockets, continuing to hum to himself as he walked. You saw the 6 others there.

“Hey.” Namjoon greeted you. You stiffly bowed your head, not really wanting to have any niceties with them. An older male came out to greet all 8 of you, you guessed that it was the lawyer.

“All of you are here?” He asked, to which Namjoon nodded his head.

“Miss (y/l/n), it is a pleasure to meet you.” He did a full bow, shaking your hand respectfully. You awkwardly bowed back and shook his hand.

“Right this way.” The lawyer led all of you into the office. The 7 men made no moves, watching where you would sit before spreading themselves out on the rest of the available chairs.

“Here is my ID.” You handed your card to the lawyer, who verified your details. He handed it back to you after.

“Alright, this is the will right here. As stated and signed by Mr (y/f/n) (y/l/n), the house and 50% of his fortune is to be split amongst the 7 of you. “Hang on. I know nothing about his business, why would he sign the rights over to me?” You asked. From the corner of your eye, you could tell the others in the room were just as shocked.

“Mr (y/l/n) did inform me that you might try to sign your inheritance away so he told me to give you this.” The lawyer slid something over to you.

“This...” Your eyes widened. Now, this handwriting, you recognised.

“(y/n) sshi?”

“C-Can we t-take a break?” You didn’t wait for them to reply, grasping the letter in your hand and running out of the room. You found a private toilet stall and entered. With shaky hands, you opened the letter.

‘My dear baby,

I’m sure this is confusing for you, having a letter from me, given to you with your father’s will. It probably also means that both your father and I are no longer around. You’ve been through a lot, baby. I’m sorry you have to deal with this all on your own. There’s so much I want to tell you, I wish I could have done it in person and not through this.

Baby, your father may shoulder all the blame for us splitting and him having to leave. But please understand that we agreed to separate for your safety.

Your father’s life isn’t easy and ultimately, he decided that it was best for him to leave. He didn’t want to see me worry over the fact that he may not return at the end of the day after work.

I know the two of us struggled and he could have reached out but he was just keeping his promise to me. I wanted you to have a normal childhood, to grow up like other children with no worry in the world.

You didn’t deserve to grow up, hidden from the world because we worried you may become a target. It wouldn’t be fair to you to live such a life you didn’t ask for.

The risk of him bringing danger with him also scared him. He couldn’t bear to risk being the reason you get hurt.

You’ve always asked me about him and I could never answer you properly, leading you to believe that he left us, that he abandoned you. I’m sorry I never had the proper answer, I never knew how to tell you. It was selfish and unfair to him to let you think he did something so cruel.

Now that you’re older, you can take over your father’s company. I believe that the 7 executives your father trained can guide you and protect you.

You can now live comfortably with no hardships, carry on your father’s legacy, his company that has been passed on to you. It’s time to stop worrying and to get out there. I’m sorry I’ve always held you back.

The words soon became blurry as your tears obstructed your vision. This could very well be the last letter that your mother had written before she died. That also meant that she had met your father to give him this. You folded the letter and put it away, not wanting your tears to destroy it.

Everything from your mother is more precious to you than any amount of money. It was all you had left of her.

“(y/n) sshi, are you alright?” Namjoon was outside the bathroom, waiting for you.

“I’m fine.” You said shakily. Despite washing your face, your red eyes and nose gave away just how much you sobbed. You cleared your throat and Namjoon handed you a botle of water to drink.

“Thank you.” You opened the cap to take a sip.

“Do you want to continue with the lawyer? If not, we can call it a day and reschedule.” Namjoon offered.

“Rescheduling isn’t going to take away the fact that I feel like I have been lied to by everyone in my life. I don’t even know what to feel now.” You forcefully let out a bitter chuckle, clutching the letter in your hand.

“Is that letter from your mother?” Namjoon asked. You kept your head hung but nodded nonetheless. He didn’t say anything else, knowing that you needed time and space.

“I’m done. Let’s just get this over with.” You cleared your throat, walking back to the office.

“Sorry, let’s continue.” You slid back into your seat. The lawyer nodded, continuing to read the rest of the will. You now owned the primary rights to your father’s company and half of his fortune. The secondary rights to the company, the other half of his money and estate belonged to the 7 men. They were declared the new board of directors for the company.

“There is something else. But it is not here. We safe deposit boxes here and your father has one with artefacts from him and your mother inside.” The lawyer said as he finished reading the will.

“Okay.” You stood up. The lawyer led you to the basement of the building, where there were security guards guarding all the safety deposit boxes.

“This is it.” The lawyer gestured.

“Open it then.” You spoke.

“Unfortunately, Miss (y/n), I do not have the combination to open this box.” He bowed his head. You turned to the 7 that stood behind you but they also looked at each other in confusion, some shrugging.

“All he told me that you would know the combination because it is the date of his regret.” The lawyer said to you. You immediately knew what he was talking about. You chewed on your lip as you stepped forward, keying in a code.

BEEP BEEP

The lock released and you opened the box.

“What was the date?” Taehyung asked. But you heard a sound, like someone had hit him for asking because you could hear him wince right after.

“It’s the date he left my mom and I.” You replied, carefully retrieving the box and other items from inside the metal locker. You placed the box onto the table while the others helped you remove the other items inside the locker. Opening the box, you saw your parents’ wedding rings inside.

The other items that were not in the box was your parents’ wedding album and a copy of your baby book. There were many letters your mother had written to your father and photos she had sent him of you.

“C-Can I go home, please? I just n-need to go h-home.” You asked, fingers trailing over your mother’s face.

“Of course.” Jin said.

“I’ll take you back.” You didn’t protest when Taehyung escorted you to his car to send you home, you were too deep in thought.

“Thanks.” You piled everything in your hands carefully.

“Take this. I know you wouldn’t want to but if you need someone to talk to.” Taehyung placed a paper with his number on top of the stack of items you were carrying. You just looked at it, no expression on your face.

“Bye.” He said. You got out of the car, a distant look in your eyes. Taehyung watched entering your house and shut the door.

“It never gets easy.” Taehyung said, looking at your closed door. For some reason, he hesitated starting the engine again and driving back home.

But what could he do? You wouldn’t want him comforting you.

You put the things aside, it was too much to look at now. Both your brain and heart were hurting. As you went to your room, you passed by your mother’s room. Your hand rest on the door knob but you couldn’t bring yourself to open the door, as if there was a confrontation going to happen. Were you supposed to be feeling betrayed and/or lied to?

“I can’t do this.” You shut your eyes. With a heavy heart, your hand slipped from the door knob and you walked into your room.

“I spent my whole life hating him...” You knew they were both dead and nothing you did now would change anything but it still left a bitter taste in your mouth. There was a lot of guilt and regret clouding your mind.

Falling onto your bed, you drew your knees to your chest. You were at a lost of what to do now. The plan was just to move on, not be involved in the aftermath of your father’s life.

But this changed everything.

“So you knew that boss signed the company over to her? When were you going to tell us?” When Taehyung arrived home, he heard the slightly heated conversation that was going on between the others.

“Would telling you guys in advance change anything?” Namjoon sighed. He was at the center of the questions and outrage now.

“It at least gives us a heads up, Namjoon ah. This is why you wanted her to start being comfortable around us, isn’t it? Because sooner or later, she is going to be our boss.” Jin finally realised. He could never really be angry with Namjoon’s action, he trusted him wholeheartedly as the leader. Namjoon nodded his head.

“As the new boss, she could easily just dissolve the company. Everything we and boss worked so hard to build is in the hands of someone who has no knowledge about any of this.” Jungkook said.

“True. Not forgetting that she hates him.” Hoseok chimed in.

“Let’s see what she does, okay? That letter the lawyer gave her was from her mother. She’s going through a lot. Give her some space.” Taehyung spoke.

“Oh, Tae. We didn’t even notice you were back. How was she?” Jimin asked, taking a sip of his drink. Taehyung shrugged off his jacket and sat down beside Jimin on the couch.

“She’s going through a lot. She doesn’t hide her emotions well and you can tell, there is a look of betrayal in her eyes.” Taehyung stated.

“Namjoon hyung, you really don’t know what was in that letter?” Jungkook asked with suspicion.

“Of course not. That letter was written by her mother. I’m sure even boss didn’t know what was in that letter. He just passed it along to the lawyer, as per instructed by her.” Namjoon scoffed.

“Also, don’t forget. We’re the board of directors now, if she wants to dissolve the company, we can fight it.” He added.

As the impromptu meeting broke apart and the boys parted ways, Yoongi looked at all of them. They were so busy fussing over you that none of them actually had time to grieve over the death of their boss, who was practically a father figure to all of them.

Emotions were high and tension was starting to form. Yoongi knew the boys needed to mourn together, not drive each other away. With a desolated sigh, he refilled his whiskey glass and went to his room.

“Hyung, you okay?” Jungkook gently pushed open the door. Yoongi turned around, fingers retracting from the pristine white grand piano.

“Why wouldn’t I be?” Yoongi replied gruffly.

“You were awfully quiet downstairs, even more than usual. And you had that look on your face. That look when you know something bad is going to happen.” Jungkook said.

“That’s nonsense, Jungkook.” Yoongi shook his head, cracking a small smile. He took a swig of his whiskey, placing the glass back on top of the piano.

“Well, you usually prefer not to say anything just to do the whole ‘I told you so’ at the end.” He shrugged.

“I do like doing that, it’s fun. But this time, nothing bad is going to happen, Kook. Don’t worry. We’re gonna stick together, like we always do.” Yoongi turned back to his piano. Jungkook looked at the back of his older brother. Seeing that Yoongi was getting back to his piano, he pursed his lips before closing the door.

“I hope you’re right, hyung.” He sighed. He massaged his hands as he walked to his room. But he couldn’t rest or sit still. Instead, he got up and went to his fight club.

Maybe some sparring will help him release his pent up energy.

The moment the meeting ended, Jimin drove to his club, wanting to get away and be alone. When he appeared at his club, everyone inside stopped what they were doing to bow to him respectfully.

“Boss.” They all lined up. He did not acknowledge anyone, going straight to the bar. They snuck glances at him, wondering why he was here so early and what he was doing here. He had already said it was his day off and that no one should disturb him so they were not expecting him at all.

“We’re not opening tonight.” He declared as he selected the bottles he wanted. The staff around him looked at each other, unsure of what to do.

“B-But sir, the president’s son booked a booth and-”

“Did I stutter?” His tone was low and threatening.

“Of course not, boss. Understood, we won’t open.” The manager was the first to step forward, pushing the hostess behind him, a silent sign to not say another word to the boss.

“Get out. Don’t bother me.” He grabbed two bottles of hard alcohol, one whiskey and another dark rum. Without another word, he went upstairs to his usual area that overlooked the club. Not even VIPs were allowed in there.

“I drink to you, boss. No... Father.” Jimin poured the first glass, lifting it up then gulping it down in one go.

He watched as the manager was hurriedly getting the other staff out of the club, leaving only him. When Jimin says get out, he means it, everyone out. And no one wanted to incur the wrath of a Bangtan executive. Jimin owned this place, he could do whatever he wanted.

Who needs feelings and emotions when you could drown them out in alcohol? He didn’t care that he might lose this place if you dissolve the company, it was just a building.

He only feared that he might lose purpose. What was he supposed to do? Where was he supposed to go? This life was all he knew. Your father trained each other them to be a pillar of the company.

“You’re weak, Jimin ah. Letting an outsider dictate your fate.” He said to his reflection. Taking a cigarette out, he lit it with the lighter around his neck.

This feels like someone who is constantly let down but has to reign in their anger or have to put their desire on the backburner for others or due to external situations. Or that there’s no point in hoping you’ll get what you want. We’ll see in the advice part obviously but it also seems like you’ve just started taking this behavior as well and there’s not much action against it. Page of Wands is a doll that’s slightly ruined and I get the same energy from the ten of swords as well for some reason. It doesn’t feel like bitching but it reminds me of that ‘everything is fine’ card from The Modern Witch deck. As for Combustion, I can see how that might be internally, but you smother that. Reminds me of the daydream bits from Scrubs – you going off on someone but you don’t really do it. You have to feel. You have two Ten’s, cutting the cord, and two fire cards. There’s a lot of purging and passion – ‘extreme’ energy if you will. The advice given circles around the house of accepting that; you are upset. You’re hurt, angry, betrayed – whatever it is, you’re feeling it. So you have to sit in it and really let that shit sink in and then finally let it out. Accepting it isn’t letting bygones be bygones, it’s understanding that you’re human and you’re not always going to be forgiving of everything and your emotions aren’t always going to make sense. For example, my friend has recently gotten the cutest kitten I have ever seen and she loves her. She has also lost her grandmother recently who she was close to. That same kitten had wrecked an item that her grandmother gave her and she expressed that she felt bad for getting mad at the cat and like, that’s to be expected. Things like that, you (pile one) have to come to terms with. Once you go through this little purge, just kind of…let go and let be. By that I mean; don’t try to predict what people are going to do or what’s going to happen with the things around you. The angel on this three of wands has their eyes closed so it’s like, waiting for the effects of your purging to take place. Once you start to implement these changes into your mindset and how you interact with people, wait to see how it’ll affect your relations with others. So the main thing is, you gotta work on your mindset and you gotta allow yourself to openly access these emotions and just feel. It’s tricky, but you have to understand that not everyone is going to be ‘Rebecca’ or ‘John’, they’re new and different people who might treat you the way you deserve to be treated. Which they only know how to if you start treating yourself better too. A lot of this is just examining your relationship with yourself, the world, others, etc. Do you think you’re unworthy of something? Why? Actually work through it, the more you process it the more information comes out. We can be aware of simple things but unless we’re actively going through our memories, some things we might’ve locked away suddenly resurfaces and gives us new context that we can work on. I’m also not surprised to see that some of the cards is just feeling a new zest/passion for life. It’s about finding your purpose but I’m reading it as finding love and standing up for yourself. Not in an argumentative way but if you feel like you’re being treated unfairly, discuss it with that person. Don’t take it because you feel like you deserve it or it’s your version of the status quo. You don’t have to rest in fighter mode but right now I believe – if i have to speak in this deck’s language – you’re docile and the reflex is to flee. You need to learn the balance of fighting as well. Again, for some of you it might be that you stay with people or situations that are familiar or comfortable even if they hurt you and you need to go beyond what you know. Seek out new things once you’ve done the work on yourself, because there’s a high chance you might outgrow these things.

You guys are special because I had to read for you guys today. I checked in and they refused to let me do it. Even after saying it was a healing reading and I'm not invasive yadayadayada, they did Not want to let me do it. Moving on. . .

Now that I’m allowed to pull your cards, I understand the protection. The Priestess and King are coming up as parental figures or just – it feels weird to say this but in comparison to the rest of the piles, they’re coming up as specific figures. It stands out because usually you will get pairs (K & Q of Cups) but instead we have a figure who is seen as intuitive and in this deck a little intimidating vs a figure who is charismatic and in this deck: has a mask on. So it’s like the top row (Priestess to the King) stands for these figures in your life whereas the rest of the cards represent the effect it had on you. So it’s interesting that between them we have conflicts, possibility of them talking down to each other, lack of awareness of where/when they’re doing it (as in their surroundings). I get a feeling of them keeping the relationship for physical matters (financial, responsibility, etc) instead of breaking it off to save stress. There’s also another element here that the King has a mask and his back is turned, but he’s facing us as if we stepped in on him doing something wrong, so of course that’s combined with The High Priestess. However this card has a little ‘animal’ with her which seems to be a messenger. So it’s like getting caught but not in the act, so no grounds to attack leaving someone to just pick at them. Onto you; this leads to an unstable environment. It just sets precedent that this is the norm, but if it is you don’t want it. It doesn’t really make you feel ‘safe’, or happy, or gave you any pleasant feelings. There was a video I watched about this, but it spoke of children dealing with forms of abuse having poor health due to always being on alert. While this may not be exactly what you’re dealing with, I think you were pretty much set up in the same way because I get the feeling of someone never really wanting to relax because they’re always waiting for that next argument or picking up on tones. I’m also consistently hearing ‘if this is what love is then I don’t want it’ over and over again while I’m trying to decipher this.

Yeah. So if you’ve seen Skinamarink it kind of reminds me of that? It’s not my movie but people describe the tension as being…well, the gazelle personality, which is why I’m bringing it up, and of course those types of fears can start to become physical pains. I really recommend watching these two videos because it’s something to think about. To start off with this spread, it’s asking you to either speak to someone, or to journal which might be preferable to a good amount of you. I did this a few years ago but when I was in a good headspace, I just started from the beginning and made it to the present so I could do my best to unravel where my issues are stemming from and try to work on them little by little. It’s like untangling hair, it’s frustrating and you might just want to chop it off but if you go slow, you can carefully get the mess undone and figure out where the core of the issue is. The rest of this? Just grounding. It’s asking you to get out of your head and get out of survival mode and to just breathe and live. Always a lot harder to practice, but you have to catch yourself when you’re doing it and step back and knock yourself into doing it haha. I’m not necessarily picking up on trust issues or problems relating to people – at least they’re not highlighting it – but it’s more about getting stuck in your head and trying to play chess with the world and how things play out. You can’t do that. That’s like trying to fight the wheel of fortune, you’re going to lose. So spirit wants you to slowly learn how to relax and get more into the physical world. If walks help while listening to podcasts to get out of that routine, go and do that! I believe the key here is to figure out what the trigger is for overthinking and anxiety so you can catch yourself. From there, it’s just a day by day process of nurturing yourself.

Control? Which is interesting because I feel like Judgement should be upright. However. Okay it feels like self-contained chaotic energy. Not to bring my Wife Swap binging into this, but there was a relationship between a wife and her daughter where the kid would…be a kid? And the mom would call her a misbehaving brat and label her ‘The Bad Child’. That dynamic seems like you’re implementing it upon yourself. You don’t have to have these, but I’m seeing the habit of chewing at your nails and other anxious fidgeting that’s usually picking at yourself. For some actually it reminds me of children who are neurodivergent and the family doesn’t properly know how to care for them so the child has to like…’tame’ it? I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I’m getting a lot of self-control, anxiety, frustration, foot tapping/leg shaking, and self-criticism. There’s also a piece of solitude. It’s not a choice but with the three and two it’s like…it reminds me of the eight of pentacles. Working endlessly at the same thing but this ‘thing’ is yourself. It’s keeping you in check. This ‘three’ situation might’ve been that you just simply didn’t get along with a lot of people so now you’re more introverted/isolated but I don’t get that it’s who you are? Because the ‘two’ feels like someone who is constantly watching a pot boil to make sure it doesn’t spill over, like it’s a 9-5 job for them. It’s not fun. I don’t get chaos with this externally, it’s a lot of control and it doesn’t feel fun. This could honestly just be an external routine that’s inflicted upon you but it feels more like experiences that you went through and you’ve learned that ‘ok I have to be like this in order for people to like me’.

Not surprised by these cards so I have to go deeper here. Also, the Barbie soundtrack started playing in my head, take that how you will. Okay so, directly interpreting these cards is just telling you: don’t be scared, be yourself, go big or go home. Basically. That’s a bit difficult knowing the energy I picked up so. Knight of Swords can be a bit brash or rude, immature, and messy. Not the most welcoming energy, but you’ve already been locked in a cage and taught to be a type of person that you never were anyway – so it’s telling you to unwind a little bit and be more comfortable with letting that out every now and again. Especially with the ten of wands to back it up. If that voice in your head tells you to mind your actions or words, think about what an unlearned Knight of Swords would do. Obviously, don’t actively hurt people’s feelings or be a dick, but you don’t have to walk around as someone else. Four of Cups is pointing towards throwing away this mindset too, but it’s more like…not minding people’s opinions? Because obviously it’s a bit difficult to just throw all this away in one swoop. So (taking into account what I said before) if there’s some whispering or side-eyes thrown your way; treat it like the four of cups. Someone wants to say ‘oh the way you’re doing that is a little…’ cool give it the four of cups treatment. Again, this advice is a little grey if this is a case of attitude behavior and having to figure out how to interact with people, it’s a bit difficult, but Intentionally messing with people is a pretty clear line so. Strength is pretty clear; it’s just inner love and care for yourself. Trust that you’re not ‘broken’ or ‘wrong’. Now the rest of these I find to be interesting. Spark & Ambush speak more to inner child energy and being most honest about yourself. It’s like being loud and proud and embracing who you once were – which I hate saying once. It’s just finding yourself again and bringing that back out. Being comfortable with it again. Stage of Play is embracing…just that haha. It’s a lot of inner child messages, I think you would benefit from seeking out that type of healing or looking into those readings currently. I also find it cute that you got two air cards for the energy to bring in? Air is mental stimulation and sociability. If you have hobbies or interests you enjoy, talk about them. Enjoy them. Don’t hide things you enjoy. Air is about engagement in a sense, but I also find it cute that these two cards in particular speak to creativity but also an inner knowing of the self. Firefly speaks to little bursts of energy and insight, meanwhile crow is worldly knowledge. I’m really picking up on neurodivergency here but it’s a general reading so (but it Does start with an A). Honestly? Go watch some kid movies you used to love, play with some colored pencils, just enjoy yourself man. You deserve to.

Okay this pile was a bit confusing so I had to pull one more card. I’m not getting many messages, which can sometimes be a sign of major blockage. The only few things I got were ‘not enough’ ‘want it all’ and ‘consumption’. I thought the six of pentacles was the four, so there’s also a feeling of self-preservation here. I can’t pinpoint it so the theme might connect but the specifics will differ for all of you. The things I can pick up on are: themes of depression, themes of friendships, or themes of self-worth. Regardless – motivation, ego, and self-worth pops up in all these stories. It’s like…someone feels like the cup they have has a hole in it and it’s leaking. They never have enough water so they’re always trying to fill it and no matter what they do they can never manage to do so. Trying to explain it to other people makes them seem like they don’t know what they’re doing or they’re just filling their cup wrong, so they just struggle to drink from their damaged cup. It could be depression. Since we have a card speaking to betrayal and then also the ace & three of cups reversed, this could be a specific relationship that has scarred you and causes you to struggle to reach out to other people (similar to pile one but this energy is different). It’s just…not enough is the only thing being repeated in my head and I’m not getting anything else and it feels very vacant, I’m not feeling anything else which is why I keep circling back to depression despite the cards here. I mean the three of cups can speak for a lack of interacting with…life so combined with the other cards there’s a definite possibility? So there might just be a mix of you here. We’re going to move on.

This is a beautiful spread. There’s a small message that I’m going to get out of the way, which is to take care of yourself. I wouldn’t be surprised if that fell to the wayside. Get small things back into your routine like having healthy eating habits, even if they’re snacks. Going to bed at a good time, going on walks, complimenting yourself daily – things like that to make yourself feel better little by little. Pamper yourself essentially. Now the rest is much deeper. It wants you to have or embrace a rebirth of yourself. My personal suggestion, since I haven't been listening to music for this reading, is to listen to Icon for Hire. They talk about these themes, but there’s always the very long era of sitting within the old shell of yourself where it’s comfortable and being scared to break out of that and move on. Where you want to be happy or feel better but that step includes letting go of everything that you’re doing now. It brings you to the trickster (fool) which is new beginnings, and it means even more with this deck because it’s about Sun Wukong (which brings another level to everything because I wanted to use the other deck and I was just told a blunt no lmao). Anyway, you’re being encouraged to find the light within yourself. Find meaning to yourself by going within – which is much easier said than done I know. It’s beautiful that the Cobra mentions being similar to a spirit guide and talks about showing up when you’re ready to be a student of life again and then it will appear. Very similar to the fool that got pulled for your reading. Plus it’s a snake? Serious about shedding that old skin of yours (Snakeskin by Rina Sawayama? This is the only pile where songs are coming up, good for you). Last but not least, this falling in love with yourself card? Very serious. It can be difficult but there is only one you. No one is going to be able to replace that. Yes, people will be share your pain, resonate with your issues or give you advice because they’ve walked that path, but they will never shine like you can. You won’t be able to replace them either. That’s why we’re all here. Using myself, I went through the worst time of my life when I was officially diagnosed with my biggest medical issue along with everything else that I already was self-conscious about. They’re pretty close. There is no bad vibes between them. They’re just so awkward with each other. I say this because their dynamic is not always good. There are days when they don’t vibe. I think there might be moments where they don't see eye to eye or have disagreements that need addressing. (For the love of God can RIIZE communicate?)

I think Wonbin is the avoidant type. When something uncomfortable happens, Wonbin chooses to stay away from it even if he finds it difficult. Anton is also still unfamiliar with the Korean culture so he doesn’t know how to approach Wonbin when something he dislikes happens.

Yeah, they are pretty comfortable with each other. Their bond feels warm and comforting to me. Despite the occasional misunderstanding, I think they’re trying to get even closer. I actually see effort being put into this dynamic.

I’m not sure if Wonbin truly feels he gets along with Anton. Wonbin feel that Anton can be unpredictable or difficult to understand emotionally. There could be moments where he finds Anton's emotional responses confusing.

Sometimes he feels uncomfortable around Anton. Anton’s personality and quirks are hard for Wonbin to grasp.

He’s also not sure what Anton really wants out of his career and his role as a member of RIIZE. He’s judging or shall I say assessing Anton’s true intentions? Anton makes Wonbin reflect on some things that he noticed throughout their career.

On a brighter side, Wonbin sees that Anton works hard and wants to improve on the areas he lacks. But he needs Anton to be able to balance his life too. He wants Anton to be punctual during practice and get his priorities straight.

He’s like you either do that or do this. You can’t do both. I’m not sure what this is tho.

Nonetheless, it’s not bad. He thinks Anton is trying to adapt and he knows Anton is having a difficult time adapting. So, he’s cutting him some slack and is lenient on him.

how do tarot cards work?

Tarot cards were originally a type of playing cards but over the decades and centuries they’ve become more associated with fortune telling. But. Also a lot of people like me who don’t believe in fortune telling still use them as a sort of tool to think through personal problems from a different angle.

The way it works is there are 22 major arcana consisting of various symbols. The most famous ones are generally the magician, the death, the hanged man, the tower, and the wheel of fortune.

The minor arcana are structured more like traditional playing cards. The symbols are wands, swords, cups, and pentangles, each category having 14 cards ace through 10 and page, Queen, knight, and king. Each symbol is also associated with a traditional element. Wands with fire, cups with water, swords with air, and pentacles with earth.

Each individual card has a traditional meaning associated with it and a mirrored different meaning when the card is pulled upside down, called the reverse reading. A lot of tarot decks come with cheat sheets/little booklets giving summaries of the traditional meanings. You can also buy books that go more in depth if you want but it’s usually pretty simple.

For example, the magician is associated with making things happen, manifesting goals into realities, and noticing opportunities. If you pull him the right way up you might think where you need to be paying more attention in your life, think about how far your own creativity has gotten you, etc. If someone is reading the cards for you they might make a vague prediction based on what you’re asking about or guide you through your thinking process on it. Most tarot readings for fortune telling just use personality test logic and say things that probably most people are thinking about at most times. Everyone worries about money, everyone is tired, most ppl are bad at talking to their spouse, etc.

There’s a lot of different possible ways to read tarot cards but the most iconic and simplest is the three card layout. The first card has to do with your past, the middle your present, the third your future.

I just find tarot cards to be fun. Some people take them really seriously. I don’t. I just think they’re neat. If you wanna get started it’s a really low bar for entry. There’s a lot of really cool decks out there with really cool designs. Just get the one you like. I personally use a version of the Rider tarot deck which is the most common traditional design used in North America. The most popular in Europe is generally Tarot of Marseilles whose labels are in French.
