i like that you've given kiss breaks an origin story! so, if i may be so bold as to suggest:

the kissing his ring finger thing, right? that's how it started; albedo was up really late one night at his desk and you probably woke up to get him to come and lay down. he had one hand buried in his hair and you very tiredly grabbed it, brought it to your lips, and kissed his ring finger -- the one that has the ring you gave him on your two year anniversary. albedo stopped what he was doing and saw you using his hand to cup your face; you pressed your cheek into his palm and quietly asked if he could come lay down, to which he agreed in an instant, his heart running wildly in his chest. you're irresistible like this -- so sleepy, so sweet, his perfect partner. he wrapped up what he was doing and went to bed at your request.

you would then kiss the back of albedo's hand when you were studying side by side. maybe about two hours of non-stop studying would go by before you were ready to stop for a second to take a breather, but albedo would still be scribbling away at his notes. so you'd take his free hand in yours and press your lips against it, which immediately gets his attention. albedo would blink at you from behind his glasses and break into a small smile. you'd ask if he wanted something to drink but he'd decline and lean in to kiss your cheek instead. when he pulls back, he would kiss your lips next, slowly and deliberately -- a sign of his gratitude. albedo isn't one for corny lines, but he'd tell you that this was all the break he needed -- just a little bit of your attention goes a long way.

soon, albedo starts initiating kiss breaks himself. he's still a little too shy to really just openly kiss you whenever he feels too restless to continue working, so he'll drop little hints. he'll lace your fingers with his or rest his hand on your thigh. or he'll just ask if you're tired yet. albedo never asks if you're tired first -- he's always too caught up in his work to really care. so when you look at him and see him openly staring at you lips, you'll know what he wants. you'll tease him a little; you'll brush your lips over his lightly and chuckle when he grumbles something about this not being what he had in mind. albedo always takes your chin in his fingers and brings you in for a kiss that sends a shiver down your spine.

"this is new." albedo says, his eyes dropping to your hand. you've got a finger planted on his cheek, right where his dimples are. you're leaning your own cheek on your fist and smiling at him so charmingly, he can't find it in him to ignore you. "do you need something, starlight?"

your smile widens ever so slightly. albedo's heart skips -- it always does. "you were making that face you do whenever you're focused," you explain, "and your dimples were showing. they're cute."
