Dragonet reader: *pounces on icewing magneto* dad! DAD!

Nightwing Xavier: your child's awake

Icewing magneto: until that sun rises they're your child

Ahahaha! They get at least four dragonets!

You have dragonet David, who's more akin to Darkstalker, who has powers, and appears mostly NightWing, with sharper and more numerous spines and a few colder scales...

You have dragonet Wanda, also a bit like Darkstalker, but who appears as a mix of NightWing and IceWing, is super powerful, and prefers Mama/Papa Xavier (or Chary) over Mama/Papa Magneto (or Elk)...

You have dragonet Pietro, who appears like Whiteout but is mischievous, likes Mama/Papa Elk over Mama/Papa Chary, and appears more IceWing than NightWing...

And finally, you have dragonet Reader, who looks like Whiteout, is nicer than their siblings or Mama/Papa Elk, and has powers that are a bit more... unusual, or muted, compared to their siblings...

They make quite the f*cked-up little family, who are all p*ssed when Mama/Papa Chary is captured by IceWings, growing even more upset and m*ffed when Mama/Papa Elk is sealed away by the NightWing queen, and then the four siblings are slowly picked off one by one, locked away in ice or stone, until two thousand years later...

And all four are NOT HAPPY to be starving, giant, and miss their old friends, as well as their Mama/Papa, and are struggling to adjust to modern Pyrrhia...

Full Moon Shanty

Wei Wuxian felt too heavy, it was hard to even lift his head.

“So you refuse to cry, huh? Don't you want to show your true self?” The pirate donned in golds and dark browns lifted the merman’s chin; the urge to rip his head away and bite the fucker’s hand was an immediate response but the merman was so tired after being treated so roughly that he just leveled him with a glare instead.

Refusing to say anything to the detestable pirate, he turned his head away with as much force as he could muster. The pirate tsked and let him, standing up and brushing his hands off as if having touched something quite disgusting. “Alright. Think about it a bit longer then.” He adjusted his hat and left him there in the brig, bruised and bleeding.

He heard the pirate crew cheer once more and break out into a sea shanty soon after, deceivingly joyous. Wei Wuxian had once enjoyed the far-off sound of a sea shanty; now he wasn’t sure he’d ever see it the same way again.

He lifted his head, staring at the nearest crack in the boards to the sky. Seeing the moon shine so brightly into the darkness of the brig, he felt a renewed desire to move- to escape.

The merman took a deep breath and grimaced as his arms changed, shifting into ethereal, shimmering blues and slipping through the chains that had once held him up against the wall and nearly falling to the floor once he had. He winced and rubbed his wrists, panting quietly as he listened to the sailors cheer and sing, eventually getting up to check the brig and see if there was some way he could get out.

🎵 Our ship lies at anchor, she's ready to dock 

I wish her safe landing, without any shock 🎵

Finding a small crack in the hull, he glanced back and around one more time to make sure no one was there before his body shifted, spilling like water through the cracks and back into the sea.

I will always remember, your kindness to me 🎵

He swam and swam and swam, the sound of their voices disappearing past the waves of water. All he could think about was to return to his traveler’s shadows. to rest.

Lan Wangji lifted his head and shielded his eyes from the sun, staring out over the glistening waters with a frown.

He hadn’t been finding nearly as much lately. Usually, he found shells, stones, pearls, and all sorts of fantastic things. He always hoped it was his faceless savior, and…well, now he was hoping it wasn’t.

He folded his arms over his knees and watched the sea foam over the shore, worry heavy in his chest.

Om my gosh oh my gish I'm at the jade mountain prophecy I love moonwatcgsr and winter and qibli and knikajou and how is this book series for children, and the fact darkstalker just adopts moon! Like deepest also apocalypse would absolutely be darkstslker once I'm back in home port I'm binging all of your wof aus like oh mu gosh o haven't put the books down since we pulled out. It's to the point my supervosirs pur me on mandatory screen time but like the books are awesome! also please ihnore errors the series are sooo ghs

Nightwing/icewing cherik skit

Imagine their on. A date in the tundra and chary is just kinda shivering in a polar bear skin coat gifted by elk talking about all the drama he heard while reading people's minds

And Elk's just looking at him like "I can't not have his eggs😖"

Elk (IceWing Magneto) loves his beautiful, smart, and slightly dark-minded husband, but he does question how he fell for this smart idiot. Then again... with scales like that, and that beautiful, entrancing mind, and the way Chary looks at him like he's the moons themselves... It's hard NOT to fall for the dark green and gray NightWing...

(Yep. He wants kids and a nice cave home and to maybe have his kids rule the Ice Kingdom one day-)

And Chary (NightWing Xavier) loves Elk, too! Who wouldn't, when he's so brutally sharp and shiny, with those piercing eyes, and his tragic and beautiful mind, all open and inviting Chary to love on it amd protect it? If he could, he'd melt into it, and they're never have to be apart!

(Oh, he definitely wants eggs with Elk-)

These two end up in a weird relationship-situationship, where they're both madly in love and doting on their babies, but they happened to hatch a few animus babies and a mind-reader or two, and now they have the entire Ice Kingdom trying to take back Elk and the more IceWing-looking dragonets, while Chary and the Night Kingdim fight to keep his husband and babies...

(It sadly doesn't help the tribes only want the animus magic... and sadly, Chary knows very well how their story is likely to end... It doesn't mean he won't try to change it- It just means he has to be very sneaky and crafty with his plans...)

Okay okay... Guys. IceWing parents Storm and Moprh, and NightWing parent Wolverine... And they hatch Reader, a thrice born, animus dragonet... Except they're better parents than Arctic ever was, yet end up trapped and betrayed, trapped (maybe in the Dimaomd Trials for Wolverine, maybe Morph amd Storm as diamond or opal or marble statues?), and Reader mysteriously disappears, only remembered as a ghost story to frighten any young animus dragons or the IceWing and NightWing tribes (and maybe the SeaWings?)...

Then, two thousand years later (or maybe just a thousand?) someone, possibly reincarnations of the betrayers or old friends of Reader's and their parents, free them...

And the young, now enormous animus Reader is quite hungry, quite traumatized, and is looking to start anew...

Hear me out

I say your morpherine = arcticxfoeslayer imagine and a though came to me

This concept but with icewing magneto and and Nightwing Xavier + dragonet reader and legion(David haller)

Just a romeo Juliet style romance for dragon cherik and their chaotic animus dragonets left alone in this world

Oh... ohOhOH!!!! Surprise, those two would be chaotic parents. Sadly, they'd argue a lot, and while Reader could sense they held lobe for each other, they both also held great resentment for each other's kingdoms and queens... Reader knows their brother is powerful, knows he's sad and angry when Mother (Charles) disappears, leaving them with their heartbroken and slowly maddening Father... yet when the queen herself captures their father, sealing him away where neither of them can reach, they know the last few drops of night have fallen, and in their place comes long, freezing drifts of snow... And then their brother is angry, roaring, vengeful... and soon gone, locked away for all eternity... amd Reader can see, yet cannot say, that the same fate awaits them, at the same claws that did so to Mother/Father...

They hope one day they can see their family again, that the tribes will be at peace, that they'll have friends again... But that day won't come for decades, for centuries, for two whole millenia... and so Reader can only go with the words and world of the dragons left, waiting for their own fate to be stored in ice or stone, lost until the moons balze bright with a fourth, and the chains unwind for the first and last time...

(Good idea! Ask questions for Foeslayer×Arctic Morph and Logan, or Foeslayer×Arctic Charles and Erik, or even a secret third option, Foeslayer×Arctic Raven and Victor (Mystique and Sabretooth)...)

Okay... I'm just imagining this X-Men Wings of Fire AU where somehow, Morph and Logan are like Arctic and Foeslayer (but happier), and Reader is their dragonet, and is like Darkstalker and Whiteout combined...

Maybe Logan would be more like Arctic, having animus magic yet hates the stilted, boring, toxic life of Ice Kingdim nobility and royals, always longing for something different, or someone who cares for him, who doesn't care about his power, or someone who doesn't want to use him as a weapon or a pawn in their quest for control and power... Or maybe he's like a grumpier version of Foeslayer, hating how the Night Kingdom doesn't understand him, the way they want conformity, how the dragons are always scheming... And then he meets Morphz someone who loves him for him, who's soft and sweet and gentle yet strong, and he's over the moons for them, hoping hoping please such a funny, handsome being...

Maybe Morph is like Foeslayer, wanting to be free of their overbearing and toxic family or acquaintances, who wants to experience love and enjoy life while they can, who wants to be better than them... or maybe they're like a gentler version of Arctic, who has immense power and is high up in their tribe, yet they have so little control or say in what they do. A queen who controls them and belittles them, potential partners who seem to hate them, and no way out and no one to care... And then Logan shows up in their life, and it's like there's a glimmer of light, a chance to be loved, a chance to truly care for someone, and they can't resist it, wanting to make such a beautiful dragon smile...

Well, their love is forbidden. They were together secretly for about two weeks, maybe three, and met in secret to talk and to eat and to see what they could, yet once their queen/family/acquaintances find out, they're having to flee, doing what they can to escape and make it back to the Night Kingdom... They're not exactly welcomed with open arms or wings, but... They're also protected from the wrath of the IceWing queen, who has now started a war, ling and bloody and full of gore and deception, over their missing prince...

Years later, when it's been almost seven years of war, they manage to lay an egg... And what a beautiful, fragile thing it is... First it was ebony black, wrapped in furs and settled in a nest guarded by the two parents wanting to keep their unhatched dragonet safe... Then, when it's about to hatch about a year later, under three full moons, it turns a silver color, like the moons itself...

When it hatches, out comes a beautiful, wiggling little hatchling, with wings like snow speckled with black stars, bright gray eyes like twin moons, and deep indigo scales, speckled with scales like stars and snowdust... Little silver tear marks are in the corner of each eye... and on their forehead is a silver scale, almost like a star... Their spines are sharp, long, and cold... And trailing under their wings are little scales, cold to the touch, and white as snow...

And the two name them Reader...

Yet Reader would grow to become an animus, who could read minds and see the future... and with their power came great turmoil, great desire, great despair...

When one parent was stolen by the IceWings, they fell into grief... When the other was thought to have died to the NightWing queen, Reader became terrified, furious, a force to be reckoned with...

It was thought two dragons had taken down the feared Reader, killing them or imprisoning then where they'd never be able to break free... Yet the NightWings disappeared, hiding where the ly thought Reader wouod never be able to find them, while the IceWings dreaded the day Reader might return... Both tribes hated each other due to their parents', and it can still he seem in the present...

Yet somehow, someway, Reader breaks free of the enchantment that kept them asleep... and now they are awake, ready to return to their old home, the lost Kingdom of Night...
