He looked too hot in his wedding suit, so you decide to take matters into your own hands and make him your husband.

Sanji, your boyfriend, had the audacity to even consider marrying another and you've given him a hard time.

You either loved him to pieces or threw tantrums because he really, really disappointed you, but he was also still the perfect gentleman of your dreams. It was a mixed bag of emotions. He had to sleep in his hammock with the other boys again because you couldn't make up your mind if you wanted to kiss or kill him.

He's been nothing but a poor little cutie, tip toeing around you, always armored with a treat to appease you.

Another point that made you mad was: that Pudding girl was perfect for him. She was cute and busty and really proficient at baking and cooking as well. You could already see them open up a little bistro together and kissing in the kitchen.

This was the turning point of your relationship - he needed to decide whether he was yours or not. You already bought an engagement Ring with a sapphire - blue like his eyes - and decided to bake the cake of cakes for him. To show him you were just as good as she was.

The famous North Blue sweet had 16 thin layers, between each would be a fine layer of filling. It was topped with a crown of meringues. Hard to bake, but if you could pull it off, he would know that you were just as good as that girl, even though you're not directly a baker.

You got the ring and you got the recipe - you just had to wait for the kitchen to be free so you could actually bake it without him knowing.

The first time was an absolute disaster. It was a crumbling, far to liquid mess of butter and biscuit, the meringue was coals.

You fed it to Luffy to destroy the evidence and tried again. And again. And again. That thing was hard to make. At this pace, you would be done when Luffy was pirate King and Sanji's children with Pudding were going to school. You opted for easier and easier options - until you arrived at bland lemon cake. A uniform dough in rectangular shape with lemons.

Eventually, you produced an acceptable version. It had a gummi-like consistency and it looked like it exploded, but it was the best you could hope to manage. Your respect for Pudding had grown, but not enough to.givr Sanji up. You were at the end of your strength. It had to do.

You invited Sanji to deck for tea and told him not to bring anything - you would take care of it.

He showed up with an unreadable expression, a serene smile was on his face and he was a full gentleman - just not the man you knew. No kiss, no kneeling, just silent observation.

He greeted you with a serious "my lady" and sat down, looking over the less than perfect cake and probably horrible tea you poured. It threw you completely off guard.

"So uhm, I, well I baked you a cake. And made tea. I hope you like it" you tried to keep in control of the situation, cutting the cake and handing him a piece.

He politely said "thank you" and began to eat. You forgot to take one yourself, his strange behavior made your mind race. Was he disappointed? Did he want to break up after you were moping for weeks?

The fork went in between his perfect lips and he chewed slowly. Still not letting on what he thought. Your heart pounded and your stomach turned. He swallowed. Another bite. Chewing, swallow. He looked at his plate as you stared in his face, or rather: at his mouth. Waiting for a smile, or a word...but nothing.

Your gaze wandered up to study his eyes. He briefly looked up - his eyes looked wet. Another bite.

As you watched that sorry excuse of a cake vanish in his mouth, a tear ran past the corner of his mouth. He was...crying? It was the last thing you expected. You expected a gentle let down, but no scene.

"You OK, honey?" You asked.

He nodded while chewing.

"I am" He answered and laid down the fork.

"That is the best cake I have ever tasted" He calmly said as his lip began to tremble.

"I uhm, thank you" You answered as you tried not to cry yourself.

You swept the tears off his cheek and he caught your hand to give it a gentle kiss before pressing his cheek against your palm with such need, you just had to get up and sit down on his lap to hug him to your chest.

"Do you forgive me?" He asked, choking. Now you were really worried. He was near your breasts and didn't get a nosebleed. He was either seriously distressed or sick.

"Of course I do" you answered, stroking his soft hair with your fingers.

"I wasn't sure if I messed up too bad." He said with a relieved smile.

He touched your cheek. His hand trailed down your collarbone and stopped at the small pool of tears he had caused.

"I'm so sorry I ruined your clothes with my tears" He cried. "I don't deserve-" You put a finger on his mouth. There he was again. Dramatic Sanji was back - now you were the one to be relieved.

"Close your eyes now" you told him as you fished the engagement ring out of your pocket. You took his hand and slipped it onto his ring finger.

His eyes shot open to look at the blue rock at his finger, his mouth opened and closed as unsaid words seemed to bubble out of him.

"I just thought I snatch you away to keep you for myself. Will you be my husband?" You whispered into his ear, enjoying the tickle of his hair on your face.

His head turned to you as he was clearly overwhelmed by everything that was happening, tears flowing from his eyes in a thick stream now. Without warning, he clutched you to him and screamed the loudest

"YES"

The new world has ever heard and soon you were smothered by kisses and promises of eternal love and romance.

Eventually, he seemed exhausted and just cuddled up to you - at which point you looked up and into the shocked eyes of the entire crew. You began patting Sanji's back to alert him to the company.

He looked up at you with puffy eyes "huh?" He asked, sniffing.

You turned his head towards your crewmates and instead of embarrassment of being witnessed during this intimate moment, he grinned broadly, showing his hand with the ring proudly.

Nami gasped and asked for the price, while Robin cheered and Brook broke into song. Franky ran away with an "ew" as Zoro looked flustered and Usopp tried to calm Luffy and Chopper, who were afraid Sanji would leave with you.

When everyone had said their congratulations and marveled at his ring, Sanji announced a big feast and carried you into the kitchen so you could "help" him, which meant you sat at the counter and watched him do what he loved while he periodically stared at the ring at his finger and smiled. You got to taste everything he made first to reassure him that it was great.

The party lasted until late at night, there was lots of food and drink for the entire crew and Sanji couldn't stop talking about the wedding buffet he already planned in his head. When everything was eaten up and cleaned, you could finally fall into bed together for the first time in weeks.

As he cuddled up to you and mumbled more plans for your future, you just had to ask: "the cake was terrible, wasn't it?"

"No, it was great" He answered.

You smacked him "liar!"

He chuckled.

"No, it's the truth! It was the best cake in the world, because you made it for me!" He kissed your forehead. "Just for me"

You walked the trail on the island you grew up in. Wearing a cape, with some gloves and a hat. The sun was setting and the breeze was calm. You were the odd one out, but that didn't stop you from having a little fun.

You waved your hand around, causing leaves around you to float about. You smiled as you lifted them up into the air. Going in circles before making various shapes.

All of a sudden, big explosions were sounded in the town just ahead. Now as much as you hate this town, and the pirates that accompany it. You rushed over, using your powers to push yourself faster.

Upon arriving, you noticed the towns people and the pirates were in a heated fight. You looked around, trying to figure out why. You snapped your fingers and some cards appeared into the air, surrounding you.

"Ah the weirdo decides to join in hah?" The captain of the lowlife pirates. You rolled your eyes and turned to face the woman. "What are you doing with the town?" You noticed how the houses were getting torn down and fights happening all around. You also happened to notice someone whiz past you and a loud laugh.

Although you decided to shake that off and keep your attention on the lady. "Just finally taking what is ours."

You flicked your hand and cards went towards her. Blowing up.

She coughed and whipped out her sword. "Two can pl-" She was tackled to the ground and a black haired boy with a strawhat sat on top of her. "What-" You choked out.

One of her crew?

You haven't seen him around here, so he must be. You flicked your hand and the two of them go flying. "Weeeee!" You heard the boy laugh.

"Who are you?" A voice, from behind you. You turn around as one of your cards stop at his neck. You narrow your eyes.

"Why are you tearing apart this town." You demanded an answer.

He tilted his head in response as he took a bite out of the chunk of meat he somehow got. "Tearing? AH woah! Your hat!" He looked confused before pointing at your hat in surpise.

"I have one too! Yours is different." You shook your head and turned around, throwing some of the other pirates off of the people.

"Woah! How do you do that?" You deadpan at the boy who followed you around.

"Are you apart of this fight or not?"

"Join my crew!"

"No! You're ruining this town!"

"No were not, that's not my friends." You were confused, you decided to just blast some smoke and go back towards the fight.

Soon, a pile of pirates sat in the center of the town. Smoke and fire erupting around. "Y/n! You did it again!" The elder lady came and thanked you.

You looked around at the town, meeting the eyes of the boy from earlier. He held a wide smile on his face. "That was cool! Join my crew."

"Who are you?"

"Luffy! I'm going to be the king of pirates."

"Sorry dude, but me and pirates do not get along." You were hesitant.

"Come with me!"

This went on for awhile, as you used your magic to held rebuild and clean the area up, he followed you like a lost dog. Watching in awe and standing on some of the broken bits of wood you would raise in the air. He was starting to get on your nerves.

You pull the wooden plank towards you with Luffy on it. "Okay, what do you want?" He smiles widely at you as he has all day. "You're cool! I want you to join me. You'll love it." He giggled.

You scratch your neck before moving him away. He seemed nice, and he did help you get rid of the pirates. But he was also a pirate.

He stretched his arms and pulled himself towards you, crashing into you.

The two of you rolled before you landed a couple feet away. "Dude-" You grabbed at him and pulled his arm, which stretched. "Okay, that's a little weird."

"Pleaseeeee."

Deciding that he would probably not take no for an answer you decided to follow him to his ship. You could either get kidnapped, killed, or worse. You knew you had this in the bag though. "If you try anything I'm teleporting away."

He laughed in response as you somehow finally reached the boat. "Didn't we pass this like an hour ago.." He launched the two of you up into the center of the ship.

"Luffy! Why did you take off! You've been gone all day!" An orange haired girl scolded Luffy. A few others appeared and started complaining. "Who is this?" A blonde man appeared next to you with a rose.

"This is.. uh."

"Y/n."

After meeting everyone they seemed very weary of you. Luffy described what you could do and they looked hesitant. They haven't seen you in battle, but they don't doubt Luffy.

"She's our new crew member!"

"When did I agree to that!!?"

You bicker back and forth for a hot minute. This man acted like a child and it made you fume. You flicked your hand and hit him on the head with a rock. Not toooooo hard, and not like it would hurt him anyone. He fell down and laughed. "Look isn't that cool."

The others around you sweatdropped and were clearly on edge.

"H-hey guys.." The long nosed dude pointed to a ship that was nearing, quickly.

While still arguing with Luffy about joining, you flicked your wrist towards the ship. The ship erupted. Pieces of wood flying and people yelling and jumping overboard. The crew watched in awe

"You are a bad influence! I am not joining your crew!" He giggled at your reaction. You shake your head and turn around, heading to jump off of the ship. Acting like taking that ship down was nothing to you. "H-hey wait.. are you sure you don't want to join?" The girl from earlier had stopped you.

You narrow your eyes. Did you really want to join a pirate crew? You looked back and see a little reindeer chasing Luffy around. "You're hurt! Stop running around!" Your eyes dart to the side, seeing the blonde serve drinks to another lady.

"Ah fuck it."

EXTRA:

Over the past week of being aboard the Sunny. It was a new experience, and you hate to admit you enjoyed these pirates. They were... fun. You helped around the ship, soon they became your family. You helped Sanji and showed him new things, for cooking. You even entertained Usopp and Luffy with your magic.

You were beginning to like the pirate life.

Trying not to project trans parents leaving in fear of rejection and wanting to protect their family from ridicule and shame but to be reunited with trans child who left the village for the same reason years later on to yasopp and Usopp

This is such a genius thought, honestly. Thinking about Banchina never telling Usopp about his dad being trans but always saying that if he ever wanted to be more or different than what people viewed him as, that it's perfectly fine (Using this with transmasc Usopp because it's my fav headcanon for him). He never got to tell his mom about him being a boy, but she knew. Looking back at his past now, it was obvious she already knew. After her death, he doesn't see himself capable of anything for a while. The whole village helps him out (people think he's a her. Perhaps just a tomboy, after all. Every time he says he's a boy people think it's just a prank or that he's lying) but he can't be himself completely. The only one who knows about this and believes him is Kaya. Beautiful, wonderful Kaya. She's the only one who supports him. She even gives him clothes because he can't just keep using his dad's old things, and she's the only one with enough money to buy them. Then, the strawhats appear in his life, and he doesn't tell them about... You know... Being a ""girl"" because apparently he passes enough for them to think he's a boy. That, and also that he introduced himself as a boy, and he isn't sure if Luffy is fucking stupid or extremely open-minded or maybe he doesn't care. Either way, he feels like himself with them and sees this as an opportunity to leave the village right away and finally transition without anybody knowing about his past self.

Yasopp sees his wanted poster, then. And he knows that used to be his little girl, and turns out that he was actually his boy. He couldn't be prouder, but there's so much guilt inside of him for not being there for Usopp when he needed it the most... Especially when it turns out he left for no reason at all besides fear. He feels like a coward. That's mainly why he feels so embarrassed to meet Usopp again.

But then they meet again. When Luffy manages to be the king of the pirates and all of them have their own names engraved in history. Yasopp meets his son. And God, he looks so handsome. They even look alike! And he's extremely embarrassed to say anything, and Usopp won't stop crying fearing he won't accept him, and they just end up hugging. Yasopp tells him he couldn't be prouder of his son becoming a better man than he'll ever be. He keeps apologizing over and over again, and Usopp tells him that he understands. That if somebody understands something about running away, it's him. But they're here now and they couldn't be happier.

Also, quick Sanuso mention because it's physically impossible for me not to do it: Usopp introduces his father to Sanji (trans girl, by the way) and,,, Well. She doesn't really like Yasopp for leaving Usopp. She's just like a fucking chihuahua when she meets Yasopp. If you leave her alone with Yasopp she'll probably end up biting his head off. But!!! But Yasopp is amazed because she's genuinely gorgeous and he's like "kiddo, are you sure this is your girlfriend? You're lying to me aren't you-" (he's half joking, don't worry) and it's- It's just so chaotic.

4-Favorite non-sexual activity? A tie between cuddling and cooking/eating. The later is obvious. Food is extremely important to both of them. Sanji loves to cook and Luffy is eager to enjoy his meals. For cuddling they are both very affectionate guys. Luffy will give his big clingy hugs and nap on Sanji in his downtime. And, well, Sanji will accept all affection

6-What is their favorite feature of their partner’s? Sanji is ever the romantic. He adores Luffy's bright smile. Especially when it's paired with a compliment thrown his way. Luffy likes watching Sanji's hands while he works. Because Sanji reserves using his hands for only the things he loves: cooking and caring for others.

17-Who says I love you first? Luffy! He says it as soon as it's on his mind. No second thoughts. It will take Sanji by surprise, making him choke on his smoke because he'd been thinking about confessing for quite some time and didn't know how or when to say. He was too busy overthinking and wanting it to be perfect. But Luffy confessing at the drop of the hat WAS perfect, even if Sanji refuses to admit it.

18-Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?) Whenever Sanji packs Luffy a pirate's lunch, he leaves a note inside. Usually it's flowery prose to confess his love, with the occasional "Don't get us into any more trouble, idiot!" mixed in.

in my defence I thought we wouldn't get a chapter til like 2nd January (or so I heard??) and was super confused when we got one this sunday, but anyways!! new chapter means new post of me screaming a little

King got his wings cut (or just the right wing, and zoro is the right wing of the future pirate king luffy which should mean something but i'm not smart enough to know what so we'll leave it at that) and Zoro has now officially defeated King, victor: Zoro!

Also!! Just last chapter we talked about how Kaido definitely thought he himself was Joy Boy because of the whole "I'll change the world" speech he gave King and immediately after, aka this chapter, we get it confirmed that Kaido did indeed think he could be joy boy--

((or perhaps that King thought Kaido was Joy boy, and not Kaido himself since Kaido says "you still believe that?"))

Anywho, I also liked King's flashback here, because as we all know I'm obsessed with right hand men being extremely loyal to their captains and this kind of makes me like King as a character more:

Of course, unfortunately for King he did lose (to the right hand man of the real future pirate king, too bad Kaido)

And after King reminiscing, we get Zoro's flashback to him promising Luffy to never lose again (just like King to Kaido, nice) and saying that if "this is what it takes then..."

The CP0 get information about King's defeat signaling the defeat of the all-stars and the Tobiroppi, which tips the scales to us winning, but as long as "those two" are still fighting, those wins are meaningless-- which obviously means we'll be getting the fights with big mom and kaido soon enough.

Aside from Kaido (being dealt with by Luffy) and Big Mom (Kidd and Law) there's the two threats of Onigashima falling and Kanjuro's flame attack. Yamamoto is currently rushing towards the flame, and Momonosuke still has to figure out a way to stop Onigashima from falling down on the flower capital.

Also on more news, I think it's pretty much official now that both Kin'emon and Kiku will survive this war because of the (amazing, magnificent, top-tier, wonderful) speech by Usopp:

"I don't get this obsession with honor and comitting Seppuku, I know it's your culture but I can't stand it!

This also just solidifies Usopp as one of the bravest characters in one piece.

And then we have best boy Izo coming to the rescue looking as amazing as ever and also spewing off a wonderful line--

CP0 are still a threat, because Apoo is running away, and Drake has been taken down

You two started your journey collecting your Nakama's , you loved them as much as you loved your brother and you considered them as your family after luffy. During your past your, brother Sabo was announced to be dead and that broke the three of you, Ace being the oldest tried to clam you two down until you managed to get over it. The same thing happened during the Marineford war, except for that you weren't by luffy's side, it hurted you, you were in a mental breakdown, your mind couldn't accept the fact that Ace was dead, not mentioning that you saw your brother luffy passed out from the shock of Ace dying in his arms in the newspaper that shattered you into pieces, every night you blamed yourself for not being able to be on his side at that Moment and Save Ace (bcs you were sent along with the strawhats to another island away by Kuma).Two years later, In Dressrosa when Luffy told you that Sabo is alive you couldn't stop crying in luffy's arms as he teared up like you. Your personality was similar to luffy but in a much calmer way..you would both fight on meat during meal time and turn the kitchen to a food fight war ending up getting scolded by Sanji, but ofc he wouldn't scold you bcs its basically Sanji who we're talking about .During serious fights against the enimes, you would stick by luffy's side, not bcs you're not strong or scared but you want to protect him as much as he protects you, you're ready to sacrifice your life if you were asked to, if he got hurt or severely injured, you would burst in anger, and try to kill off the one who hurt him, but since the other two Monsters of your crew wouldn't let you or their captain get hurt, they would try to stop you and go instead, you ofc let them to do so and try to hold luffy in your arms, he always assures you that he's fine and ask you to stay by his side... Zoro:

Roronoa (Y/N) that was your name, thats right you were the Famous pirate hunter's Twin sister, few minutes younger than him though, lol, you both had the excat calm personality and hair color, the only difference was that you were pretty good with directions, you always teased him about it and he always gets pissed off. Ever since you were kids, he was always interested in swords and fighting with them so he basically spent most of his time with his only friend Kuina in training and you'd probably just sit and watch him, its not that you weren't interested in swords but you preferred to get stronger by using your own weapon which was a blade steel Stick. You both didn't know how to express your feelings, it was just that both of you were blunt, but deeply inside, you both cared for each other, but you always end up arguing like a cat and a dog. After Kuina's death, Zoro became a bit distant and focused on becoming Stronger you barely met during the whole day, you actually didn't like the fact of him being away like that, you knew he was broken because of her loss, were twins after all so you can feel his emotions , its said that twins can feel in each other. Few years later, Zoro decided to sail in the Sea to be a pirate hunter and won't be coming back any sooner here, you didn't want him to go...no you didn't to be left alone here, Zoro was all what you've got, he's your Family and Motivation and your role model, you always secretly wished to become strong like him. You told him to take you with him but he refused and told that you will be safe here and left.  Sometime later you read in the newspaper about the disappearance of the Strawhats pirates, you knew he joined a pirate crew beforehand , but after hearing that they would be probably dead you panicked, what if something happened to your brother so you decided to Sail yourself as a pirate into this wide sea in order to find your twin brother. You were sailing alone without a crew or a friend...it was a difficult journey for you to go through all of these obstacles and enimes through the sea by yourself, but you never gave up bcs deep inside you you knew your other half is still alive you can feel it inside your heart, it took you around a year and half to reach to the island that your brother and his crew mates disappeared. Reaching Sabondy you decided to stay there for a while to search for him, you asked everyone until you found their ship Sunny go, finally few monther later you saw him..it was your brother looking much stronger than ever, you slowly approched him tears filling your eyes, you were glad that you went into all of this bcs you finally saw him alive and safe, screaming by his name, the man was not expecting to see his sister here out of nowhere, taking him into a tight hug, you decided to stick into him and this is how you joined the Strawhats . Not to mention but he didn't expect you to be a sake lover like him because you were both were still underage when he left, so days sometimes passed with both of you competing with each other in drinking the whole night, he was used to it, but you didn't drink it often so when you did, you feel that your head is bolwing ball and end up being in bed the whole day.💚

Sanji:

Vinsmoke (Y/N) of course you weren't proud to be part of this Family, though you left them at a very young age. You were Sanji's 2 and half years younger sister and the youngest in the Family, but how come you're not living with the Vinsmokes? , well the answer is simple, you were the Second Germa failure after Sanji as your father Vinsmoke Judge stated, though you were just 4 and half years old , you were treated like a garbage just like your 7 years old brother, both of you staying behind thoes prison bars scared and unable to do anything except to get beatened up by the ones who are supposed to be your other 3 tripple older brothers, but Sanji never let them touch you even when he was severely injured, however these brothers wouldn't just let you easily like that, after all you were nothing like them, just a failure experiment, but no matter how injuried you were, you always went to Sanji and patted his head..telling your oni chan that everything is going to be okay he could do nothing but hug you, he's a 7 years old kid after all. Sora, your mother was already in the skies by that time, or else she just wouldn't stand still seeing her Sanji and you being treated in that way. One day, yes that day when  he cried to his older sister Reiju that he doesn't want to see his father's face again and wants to be cook, she told him that he has just one opportunity if he failed he wouldn't be able to leave this place, breaking off those prison bars Reiju grabbed Sanji's hands and help him to escape...but wait he stopped before coming out and looked behind, there you where, face is swollen and bruises all over your small figure, Sanji with his eyes tearing up once again at you, holded you in his arms and went with his older sister, she stopped and told him to leave you because she will help you later when you grow up more but he refused, he can't leave you to face the same thing and get beated up by those jerks who lost their emotional sense. Time passed by then and you were holding into your onichan Sanji wherever he goes in baraite, until that time where he is 19 and you were 17 and half years old, still the same following your brother everywhere, he Later Joined the Strawhats and you became one of the crew mates too and went on an beautiful advanture with your new Family, but few months later you found yourself in a different place, you could clearly remember seeing your brother disappearing infront of your eyes by kuma and made your heart drop in your feet at the memory, you thought you lost your precious brother but no, after two years you met again, you couldn't stop crying for the whole day and Sanji couldn't stop smiling at the fact that you looked so adorable and how much he missed his younger sister presence. Your Journey to the new world begins and you into different serious events coming to this time where there is Gang looking like man (bedgie) is threatening your brother with the Name of Vinsmokes, the name seemed familiar to you but somehow you can't remember where you heard it but its not quite convincing according to your brother's expression, later own after fully insisting to go with Sanji who almost fought you to stay with the strawhats but you angrily refused to leave his side..not once again after two years of being sperated, until you reached the WCI, you learned about who the Vinsmokes are, they were your family the people that Sanji did everything in order you forget them but soon after Sanji told you about everything they did to both of you your eyes teared up how can a family to this to her children, it was quite Shocking bcs you were too young to recall everything, Sanji's heart shattered at the sight of his younger sister crying at this but couldn't help but to hug her and pat her head.

After the WCI incident you were now aware of all what Sanji have done for you because You met Reiju who was your older sister and she told you everything, and you want to protect him from now on. Your personality was different from Sanji's, he was a calm gentleman who becomes adorably pervert at the sight of any beautiful women, you could do nothing but laugh on his actions everytime, seeing him smiling and happy made you happy too no matter what reason it was, where you were a shy girl who was hiding behind Sanji most of the time at the beginning but opened up after joining the Strawhats and always liked to tease your Onichan, Like him you liked to cook basically bcs you were there everytime he'd cooked sth either it was terrible back in time where you two were imprisoned and now where he is a first degree chef, you joined him making new recipes and sometimes end up cooking the whole night tasting each other's new recipes. 💙

One Piece Chapter 1023 - Initial Thoughts

15 Minutes is on the clock

Onigashima reaches the mainland and the fights continue on. Including the Wings of the King vs the Disasters of the Beast

Back to where we left off with the boys being back in town

Miyagi can you not ominously foreshadow Zoro's future pain please?

Kawamatsu's here to save Zoro from interference, and Hyou's telling the Yakuza not to get in the way of this fight

Marco though is a pensive Pineapple, taking a good long look at King as he recalls Whitebeard telling him about King's race living on the Red Line before the world nobles, Void Century and before stuff

Mention of Gods does fuel one of my old post fan theories, but also fuels that the WG kicked King's race out of the Red Line

Izo though out here saving Marco from being an easy target, tbh Marineford did show he was prone to a surprise attack

Asking Izo if they believe in God though in a raid that may lead to their deaths is kinda irreverent right now though huh?

Queen back to hyping themselves up though

Hm? Is there a limitation to Sanji's raid suit? Sanji's saying he feels weird

Zoro wasting no time to banter with it though, saving Sanji from King as Sanji returns the favour with Queen

Queen does make a valid point though, as much as Sanji expresses that he is unenhanced by Germa he can also set himself on fire, I do wonder if it is just part of that enhancement in there that he expresses as his 'fiery hot passion'

Lunarian though, that must be King's species' name: moon people again I bet which feeds my fan theories

Also since we mentioned Germa again what happened to them? Jimbei made it out after all and I wanna see me some alive and well Baeju

I would issue doubt on Queen's claim that their enhancements are beyond Vegapunk's, given how little we know of Vegapunk after all

King's got a special sword too, it can change its edge to be teethy which he used to ensnare Zoro's swords

Wado saves Zoro's face from eating King's spiked fist though

King does make a fair point though, traditional weapons are romanticized but a fight's about getting every advantage you can, Zoro at least respects that since King never claimed to be a Swordsman, while also reminding King that he could be a feral bastard too

Kinda gave me mini Mr. 1 fight vibes there

Oh here we go, potential Zoro lineage time

Kawamatsu and Hyou muse over how Zoro was like Ushimaru when he was young, even down to his style (though that could be more Shimotsuki Koushiro's doing since he's Zoro's master)

Also Ushimaru was Ryuma's direct descendant, which means that 1. Ryuma banged, 2. Swordsmanship runs in the blood and 3. Ryuma banged

Also Ryuma also had the one eye, and it does seem pretty mythical that a swordsman of similar skill and stature returns Shusui back to Wano (even though this should mean that Shusui would be Zoro's birthright and he was kinda forced into relinquishing it)

Also worth reminding that Kozaburo was Kuina's grandpa so there may only be loose relations if Zoro is a Shimotsuki too, we don't exactly know how Kozaburo and Ushimaru are related if it's by blood or clan, plus I still wonder about Tashigi

Over to Jack vs Inu though, and Jack's hybrid form is just...weird

Both are pretty tired, as Jack mocks Inu saying he has forgiven Zou for the Raizo stuff, since he already destroyed most of it

Inu though with the shoulder toss, reminding Jack that they had to make these sacrifices to get to here

But we're getting the epic speech, and the hole in the roof caused by Ashura's sacrifice is changing Inu back into Su Long

Same thing is happening with Neko, turning Su Long in front of Carrot and Wanda (who I guess are covering from the moon) as he stares down Perospero

And I'm glad Neko's pointing out that Pedro's sacrifice is valid. I truthfully always felt a bit iffy about people saying that Carrot's desire to avenge Pedro was ill-found because 'Pedro killed himself'. Had Pedro not sacrificed himself then Brook and Chopper would've been dead by candy and Big Mom would've obliterated the rest on the ship

Raizo and Megaforehead though prelude with the mention of maturity, that everyone - even the Akazaya - needed time to mature into who they wanted to be

Down to the surface though and the Heart Pirates are on high alert/panic, they think Kaido's here

But it's Momo, and he looks magnificent

Shinobu's aged him up to 28, the age he'd be had he not been leapt through time, but now she's upset he looks like Kaido

There's new fire in Momo's eyes though, the return ascent begins!

Can you feel that? It feels like the last stretch before the ultimate battle of Wano

Sanji and Zoro vs King and Queen hopefully will remain a tag bout, but I am curious as to King's abilities and what's affecting Sanji in terms of the raid suit. It's not bad to have a limitation but this is the first we've heard of it after seeing him use it 4 times. I don't hate Zoro being a Shimotsuki, though I do feel like we could've built to this, plus we're still lacking in the how.

One wonders what role Marco will now play, and whether Tiny Tiny Chopper is due to recover. We haven't heard from the others for a bit, nor CP0 nor Yamato. Our Pineapple does have unfinished business with Edward Weevil tbf so he could make it out, Izo may be a variable in that, they've yet to learn of Kiku's fate.

Also we never did see who that mystery person was did we? Still could be Hiyori

Marco's musing about gods does feel like we're gonna get more about King, and more lore of the world that Robin will love to soak up like a sponge, Oda have been leaving these seeds since Skypeia, and where there are Gods, there are Devils.

We are however getting major death flags from the minks, one last turn to Su Long to enable their efforts. I like how Ashura's sacrifice is not in vain because of this though, it makes me wonder if there's a slither of hope for Kin and Kiku. If anything though the minks will die from exhaustion rather than being defeated, Su Long eats away at you after all, it's probably gonna be traumatizing for Carrot a little but I hope we see some resolve out of her more like when she was in Zou and WCI, I still want her for Nakama.

And then the final coup de grace, giant dragon Momo, it's one hell of a panel and it means we're bringing Luffy back into the fight. But the extent of Momo's ripening is only in body remember, in mind he's still young. But now we have the setup for the final fight between Luffy and Kaido, I'll expect in that time we'll have to try and finish off everything else with the Akazaya, reconvening the Straw Hats, King, Queen, Big Mom, Kid, Law, Killer, Hawkins, Apoo and Drake.

Act's not over yet, less than 15 minutes until Onigashima Falls.

My brothers favorite "arc side character" (it's a very specific character type) is Bartolomeo. Like, easily. One of my first posts here about One Piece is just my text to him.

Me: So Barto is just a male version of Boa?

I could never thank Hancock enough for giving us this little meme. We've pretty much used it constantly since 2D3Y.

I knew then that I would make this gif to capture his moment of happiness for Bartolomeo. What I didn't know was the selfish dividends it would pay off in later. Usually we get a new eyecatch and it's like ten episodes of just Luffy before they bother animating the other characters. So I did not expect three episodes later to be greeted with:
