The long dream should have ended with Toshiki Kai’s victory. He was supposed to have beaten Aichi Sendou, releasing the dormant Link Joker seed from within him and with help from Blaster Blade, spread it’s broken pieces across the world and begin the acceptance of the entity as a clan on Planet Cray. That was what the correct history should have been.

But it wasn’t.

Toshiki Kai was defeated at the hands of Aichi Sendou, and as a result, he had to honor the promise he made. After all, the results of a Vanguard fight are sacred to Vanguard Cardfighters. Aichi does the same to Leon, Ren, and Naoki, defeating them and thus forcing them to honor their promises as well.

And with that...the world was once again a place where no one remembered the legendary hero known as Aichi Sendou, whose slumber was guarded by four Quatre Knights and a maiden knight who will protect his sealed form forever...

Three years pass since the world’s memories were once again manipulated, and everyone’s lives had continued on. Emi Sendou and Kamui Katsuragi graduated middle school and entered into high school. Misaki Tokura and Miwa Taishi had graduated high school and entered university, and the second Card Capital Shop had been built with Kamui as an employee. Rekka Tatsunagi and Suiko Tatsunagi continued as a pop idol duo, with no one remembering their third member. Asaka continued to be a prime member of Asteroid, doing what she can to manage the falling organization whose leader went missing.

One day, Emi Sendou makes contact with Toshiki Kai again, a strong cardfighter and regular at Card Capital that had gone to the Euro League after he graduated. He often had stopped by the Sendou Residence prior to his departure, providing them with baked goods or offered to do housework for them. Even being away, he still sent them things in the mail. She didn’t ever understand why an acquaintance would go out of their way for them, but Kai always explained it as he was just helping them out like any good neighbor would.

Seeing him visiting Japan again, when his friends said they hadn’t seen him in years, makes her start to question things, but he doesn’t give her a straight answer. But...something about what he says, a little slip of the tongue, causes a crack that eventually breaks the barrier blocking her to her sealed memories.

Emi Sendou had a brother, a brother who went missing, a brother who was loved by all, a brother who saved the world... And she was now the only one among the regular folk who remembered him.

Following down a similar path as Toshiki Kai did before her, Emi slowly starts gathering ‘mates’, comrades who she begins to help slowly remember Aichi. Together, they not only desire to bring him back home, but also bring back the missing people from their lives, Ren, Leon, Naoki, Kourin, and Kai, who had been honor bound into doing something they all desperately didn’t want to happen in the first place...

Will history repeat itself with the mates failing to save the forgotten Vanguard, or will it be second times the charm? Guess only time will tell as the story unfolds...

You can’t hide your shock, not fully at least. He’s never called you his wife before. I mean, he’s said things like “you’ll be my future wife, right?” As he giggles or something.

But you are in a state of shock that he introduced you that way.

Nonetheless, you’re happy.

If the person makes a comment about how young or cute you two are for a married couple, he’d realize. Likely, he’d respond a little oddly, stuttering, but recovers and just full sends with the claim you’re his wife.

Sasuke Uchiha

If he’s with you, you’re gonna be his wife anyways. He didn’t get with you until he was sure of that, because it took him a long time to realize he felt that way anyways.

So he calls you his wife with full confidence, before realizing his mistake. However, he doesn’t care too much to correct himself or anything.

Because you are gonna marry him right? (He’s actually really nervous to propose, but he won’t admit that.)

People would probably just believe him immediately considering just how serious he is about you to even be with you.

When you confront him about it later, he’ll ask you if that was okay, explain it was a mistake, but he’ll probably comment on how he’s dating to marry anyways so… you might as well be his wife.

You can probably expect a proposal soon.

I can’t fully see this happening tbh. However, let’s say that it does.

He’d probably over explain himself to the person he referred of you as his wife too.

Not that he doesn’t want you as his wife, but you haven’t said you’ll be his wife yet. So he can’t call you his wife. That’s how he sees it.

He’ll probably think he messed up and upset you, so you’ll have to explain it was cute.

Once you explain to him, he’ll see your point. Maybe with some reluctance to lighten up on himself.

He’ll be happy you want to be seen as his wife though.

Realized his mistake, but he could not be bothered.

He will keep on as if there is no mistake. As if you are legally married.

Walking through you're greeted by the hostess, a fairly tall women in uniform. She was quit pretty with brunette curled hair.

"Welcome to Midas Hotel! The front desk is to your right. I can take your bags for you" she smiles. You notice the whole time she's looking at sukuna not acknowledging you.

"No we've got them." you say, continuing your way to the front desk.

As the two of you approach you notice the receptionist fidgeting in her seat, but still smiling as she notices the two of you. What's her problem you wonder to yourself.

"Hey were under Satoru" Sukuna says to the Woman. She pulls it up on her computer and smiles.

"Alright you booked the King bed suite, correct?" She asks smiling, looking at the two of you. You raise an eyebrow.

"King bed? I'm almost positive we booked a two bed" you protest, getting quite annoyed.

"Well it says here that originally it was booked as a two bed but someone called a few days later requesting to change it to a king bed. If that's a problem I can see if there are any two beds available." She says.

The only person you could think would do that is your friends getou, considering he has been pestering both you and sukuna about how you feel about each other. And you doubt Sukuna would make a big move like that. Sure he was a ladies man but he's definitely not the type to force that type of situation.

"I'd appreciate if you did that." You respond, looking over at sukuna who is leaning against the wall with his eyes shut. He was more then likely too tired to pay attention.

The receptionist sits there in silence for a few seconds before making a disappointed face. "unfortunately we don't have any available. I'm sorry about that." She says.

Just as you were about to respond Sukuna cuts in, "It's fine just give us the damn key." He says, You could tell by his tone he was getting frustrated just like you.

Quickly the woman nods her head, turning around and grabbing a key. Checking everything out, She hands it to Sukuna. "Room 4001 on the 40th floor, the elevator is to you left."

Sukuna nods his head and you mutter thank you before following him over to the elevator. You guys put your stuff on and you click the button for floor 40.

Once you get to your room, Sukuna opens the door and you cant but sigh in awe. It was huge. Walking in to your right a full kitchen and a small dining table, to your left was a full bathroom and a jacuzzi tub. Ahead was a living space with a tv on the left side of the wall and a couch across from it. There was a wall in the middle of the giant room, separating the bedroom and living room, in the bedroom was a king size bed and a tv mounted on the wall across from it.

You put your suit case down in the bedroom.

"Well i can sleep on the couch" Sukuna suggests, "or we can swap"

Sukuna takes his shirt off as well as his shoes and flops down onto the bed, laying on his stomach. You turn away and change out of your shirt, putting your tank top on and stripping out of your pants. You never were one to wear pants to bed and you weren't going to start now. And what could you say you weren't gonna miss out on an opportunity like this.

turning back around, Sukuna lets out a low whistle while looking up at you. Now he was laying on his side leaning on his elbow. "I don't wear pants to sleep i hope you don't mind" You say crawling into bed and under the covers.

“I don’t care what your excuse for procrastination is! I just want you to buy your Secret Santa something.”

“How the hell am I supposed to know what-��

Sam covered his ears. “La, la, la, la. I’m not listening, don’t want any spoilers.”

“I want to be put back in the cryostasis chamber.” Bucky sighed dramatically.

Bucky stretched the neck of the uncomfortable wool sweater someone on the team had forced them to wear. The itchy fabric made his skin red. Whoever started the ugly sweater tradition should be sentenced to life in jail. Bucky thought. 

“Will you stop acting like a toddler, we’re supposed to be the adults here.” Sam spoke from the edge of his mouth to not attract any more attention. 

“I’m not acting like a child, I’m acting like a senile old man. This is the appropriate way for me to act seeing as I’m over a hundred years old.” Bucky crossed his arms over his chest, immediately regretting the action as he pressed the disgusting fabric against his chest. 

“Okay! Bucky’s turn!” Sam yelled, not wanting to bare another second of his friend’s complaining, pushing Bucky to the middle of the circle. All of the agents’ eyes were on him. 

Bucky never really celebrated Christmas, back in the 40’s it was common for families to celebrate it but ever since he got out of the ice he- well let’s just say The Winter Soldier didn’t really have time for holiday shopping. 

“I got-“ Bucky cleared his throat nervously. “Ryan as my Secret Santa so, here’s a knife.”

The room got eerily silent as they all watched Bucky take out an unpackaged knife from one of his pockets. 

Sam facepalmed himself. 

“Thanks Sarge.” Ryan awkwardly smiled. 

“I sharpened that myself.” Bucky said proudly. 

“Let’s move on!” Sam said, this was more painful than he’d ever imagined. “Who got the cyborg as Secret Santa?”

Again, silence met everyone. The agents looked at each other but no one stepped up.

“It’s fine,” Bucky forced a small smile. “I withdrew my name from the bowl. I didn’t need anything.”

Scattered chatter was whispered before they continued with the gifts. 

Bucky looked down at his watch an hour later, how much longer would he have to put up with this?

The double doors opened loudly and in you came. You quickly said your hello’s to a couple of your friends and walked straight towards Bucky. With a big smile on your face and a small bag in your hand. 

Bucky gulped as you approached him. 

“Merry Christmas Sarge.” You beamed, his brain was trying to process your words. Bucky felt like he’d never heard someone call him that, and no one should ever try to top it because it would never compare to how the word Sarge sounded coming out of your lips. 

“Me-Merry Christmas.” Bucky stuttered. 

“I’m your Secret Santa.” His eyes widened but it seemed like his reaction only made you happier. “I saw you pulling your name out  when everyone left so, I decided to pick it up for myself. I hope you like your gift.”

You were truly the human form of sunshine. He thought.

“C’mon, open it. I need to know if you liked it.” You pushed the bag closer to him. 

Bucky took it by the handles and peeked inside. It was a book.

He saw how you nervously fidgeted. 

“When I got recruited, I researched about you- well both of you, Sam and yourself. God this is embarrassing.” You fumbled with your words. “Anyways, I read that your favorite book was The Hobbit so, I tracked down a first edition copy since well, it’s been edited since it came out and I thought it would be nice for you to have something from back when you first were alive- not alive because well- Oh god, it was stupid right? Giving you a book? You probably don’t even have time to read-“

Bucky cut you off by wrapping his strong arms against your frame. 

“This is the most amazing gift I’ve ever received.” He mumbled against your hair. “Thank you.”

“Welcome.” You squeaked.

“This is incredible.” Bucky whispered, not knowing if he could get any other words out without his voice cracking. No one had ever done something as special as this for him.

“You made Barnes smile!” Sam laughed, patting Bucky on the back. “You should get a medal for things like that.”
