A silly funsie thing of my very rough, loose interpretation of alterhuman identities (just a couple of them) in a limited 2D visual representation.

Really, alterhumanity is probably 5D+ motion madness. At the very least, I'd imagine that constel is going around like its namesake.

Simile - "A simile (in the context of alterhuman identity) is a character, animal, concept, or object, which reflects or otherwise represents who you are, without actually being a part of your identity. A simile may be described as a metaphor for who you are."

Vaguetype[1][2] - An alterhuman identity that may fall into multiple categories, or if one has uncertainty or simply prefers not to define what all goes into a single identity.

Archetropy - An identity in which one performs the role, the title, the trope, or the narrative space one occupies and embodies.

Cameo (Shift) - A shift not of one's 'type. otherkin.wiki/wiki/Shifting

'Flicker - A brief, temporary identity.

Hearthome - "A place, whether real or imagined, to which a being has a deep and meaningful emotional connection, considering it their 'home.' This connection is strong, even if the being has not been raised or spent a significant amount of time in that particular location."

Mirrortype - "A reflection of the ideal self".

Paratype - "an identity facet that only exists in relation to a preestablished identity".

Kardiatype - A past life [in] which [your] experiences had such an impact on you that it [wholly or partly] formed your core identity and personality, even to this day, [but] … you [DON’T] identify as the being from your past life anymore.

Constelic - Individuals "that adopt an identity(s) throughout their lives. Constelic individuals can have any number of constelic identities, and the amount might fluctuate throughout their lifetime. Heartedness - Identifying with something instead of as. To fully understand what that abstractness entails, I highly recommend reading Part I of Poppy's Simile essay.

Synpath - Something you identify with on several levels, which could be a concept that resonates really strongly with you, an animal or mythological creature you feel you act like, or a person or character you share a lot of common behaviors with, among other things. This often is used in synonymous to heartedness, but many do use it differently than hearttype.

'Linked - A intentionally made connection towards an identity, and can be later dropped as needed or desired. Therianthropy - In which one identifies as an animal. Essentially the same as being otherkind or fictionkind, just of different focus. Just in case, therian does mean any species that has animality within.

Hmm I don't know that I've done or experienced anything especially wild when it comes to Star Wars 🤔 Mostly I watch the movies and then write filthy convoluted smut fics about them like all rational people surely also do.

I remember when I was a kid I was into like..lucid dreaming (although I didn't call it that because I was five) and I spent a lot of time trying to get my brain to create new Star Wars movies for me while I slept. My favourite character was Leia, obviously, so I wanted more adventures for her and I swear one time I succeeded and she had a whole plot on a mountain but then I think she shot Han??? Anyway that soured me on the experience but it's nice to see there was a kernel of Star Wars fanfiction writer in me from a young age, even if it was an oddly violent kernel.

Can only barely fathom body doubling. It seems like the baseline description is someone doing something in the same room as you. But then I'd be perceived.

No, I must be just as busy as someone in a different room. My boyfriend and I are currently planning for me to deep clean the house while he sands down some furniture, in the garage.

(Deep clean sounds like more work, but it's about the time it's gonna take. We did a spot test for paint stripper and it would take SO MANY BOTTLES, so he's gonna sand the big flat zones. I'm only even gonna do anything because I have a fairness guilt thing. I almost killed myself with busy work when he got a full time job)

the implications of ford pulling this photo out of his trenchcoat in the last episode you guys… THE IMPLICATIONS.

look at the state of this thing!! look at its rips! the stain in the bottom right corner! it’s dog-eared, the color is faded, the paper has browned… he’s kept this photo of them since they were kids. through all the years he stubbornly swore to hold a grudge, all the years he and stan never spoke, he kept this photo.

and we can assume he probably didn’t have it dimension-hopping, since i find it hard to believe he would’ve had it on him when he initially got sucked in, but ford pulling it out of his trenchcoat here!! implies!! that he had been CARRYING IT AROUND WITH HIM for some time after he got back!

imagine if he found it in some of his old stuff the night he returned, after punching and yelling at stan, after being sure to keep as much emotional distance between them as possible, and he finds this photo. would he have stared down at it? for a little while? smoothed the creases out on his desk? thumbed the torn, loved edges while he mourned a simpler time? then pocketed the thing to always have it with him?

i dunno. maybe i’m looking too far into it. but i can’t help but wonder if ford kept it because, against all his big dreams and ambitions, deep down he always wondered what his life might have been like if he sailed away with his brother when they were teenagers. never able to throw it away because doing so would symbolically destroy the last remnants of a childhood fantasy, the last piece of him that remains young and hopeful of a future at his brother’s side.

I'd suggest something on their emphasis on empathy?

I'm not sure if it's a majority but I've seen plenty leftists demonize the lack of empathy. Used to make me feel like a bad person until I saw people with low/no empathy talk about it and how it's not evil or a choice to not experience empathy (the people who demonize the lack of it don't usually call it a choice but they definitely talk like they think it is)
