Honestly this is hella hard to answer for me given that

a) I can't get myself to keep going with Volatile for some fucking reason so a lot of potential ships in my story aren't realized yet or worse the characters in it haven't even been properly introduced yet (kill me, I'm bad at this)

and b) I'm really not that good at this whole romantic ship thing I'm realizing, the relationships that I personally find the most interesting in my story are either platonic, friendships, parental, sibling like relationships...that kinda stuff.

There are very few ships that I have planned in Volatile at the moment. And a lot of them are kinda crack ships or ships that are completely doomed by the narrative aka me.

Then of course there's the fact that I would spoil the hell out of people by dabbling into ships that haven't been introduced yet so....eh.....

That being said, I don't know if I can really give a good answer to this, much less an answer that anyone reading this could actually follow or find interesting at this point in time x_x

Anywhoo...I'll try.

Let's start with Roland and Liz,which is like the only potential canon ship I have in Volatile at the moment xDD

I absolutely adore these two together but as of now I don't think they'll have a future unless I decide to do a major rewrite. Idk. We'll see,

They're not really a crack ship xD But I didn't really have the chance to develop them much just yet, so as of now they're just an outlet for more nsfw and edgy shit and a more unhinged Mabon who wouldn't really be in character in the canon universe.

I find their dynamic interesting though because I feel like they both see the worst parts of themselves in each other which validates them and their behavior in certain ways, but also causes them to low key despise each other. It's a picture book co-dependent relationship that could force them to confront parts of themselves that they'd probably much rather ignore.

Rebirth Update 10a

85 Hours played and I finally got to see what I wanted to see for 27 years XD. First things first though, Nibelheim was a god send after Cosmo Canyon and Gongaga. Being able to actually comfortably navigate the map really cut down on annoyance and on the time required to do intel. As much as it pains me to say it Rebirth does a bad job at pathing. In general there are too many quests and moments that feel intentionally slowed down as to artificially bloat the run-time of the game. Like walking behind a bunch of black robes at 1 mph. I enjoyed the story content in Nibelheim, and except for the proto-relic quests (which feel slow in all areas to be honest) the intel gathering was a lot easier to swallow than in former areas as well. I wonder how the Nibelheim segments feel to someone who hasn't played the original game, it sort of feels like they might be making the solution to mystery a bit too obvious, but could just be because I KNOW the twist. I do worry however that rebirth loses a lot of the mystery that makes the original telling so effective. When you first get to Nibelheim in the OG you have no idea why the town is back. Any talk about them rebuilding is just speculation, the player has no idea what the deal is with the people in town, it could just as easily be that Cloud is full of shit. Here though it is immediately outright stated that "yes, Nibelheim burned down, we were hired by Shinra". This removal of mystery is lessened somewhat by the addition of the Zack interludes, but those run the risk of just making the entire story feel less cohesive and more convoluted, although we can't say for certain until part 3 wraps up. The Black robes also seem less scary to me but that might just be a result of modern graphics as well as the inevitable increased information about goings on that comes with it. Apparently the black robes are just handed out by Shinra, ok, who knew. That doesn't really change anything and yet it does make it a bit less creepy for some reason. The scene with Aerith on the water tower could already be seen as an LTD killer tbh. So apparently "staring at Tifa from the water tower" sounds just like Cloud, and that's a good thing since that scores you points with Aerith. Sounds like Aerith is cheerleading Cloud and Tifa again. Also, Tifa straight up calling Cloud out about staring at her as kids, cute as heck and just more to throw on the pile of cloti moments that together just make this entire game feel like the story of Cloud and Tifas relationship. Seriously, Aerith so far has seemed like a minor character, it's almost weird, I feel like I would have put more focus on Aerith this game than the developers did. Every scene feels like Cloud and Tifa and their children, it's not even an LTD, it's the story of two couples. One that is up and coming, and one that is in tragedy. The explicit insertion of Zack into the story as someone that Cloud remembers is really interesting, and when it comes to the LTD it is another death nail, but I do worry whether it was the right choice by the developers. I do love seeing Zack so I suppose I can't complain too much, but I am just a little on edge. Unfortunately one of the best segments of the game was followed by the worst. The Cait Sith segment of Nibelheim was dreadful and felt more like artificial bloating than anything in remake, even worse than deep ground. Apparently there is an underground lab that we have to traverse by very slowly throwing boxes around. I know having a bunch of needless mini-games was a staple in the OG and that they're trying to pay homage to that, but it shouldn't be in the way of story progression. The simple mansion layout with the quest to find a few codes honestly had ten times more atmosphere than this series of portal rooms that ends with the code lazily written on the wall. Definitely a low point.

Hi! Want some more sad Ákos facts for Aiden to chew on? (I swear to god the kid's fine. He just has his moments XD They can trade books with Henry for fluff)

Ákos has a lot of difficult, complex reactions to what happened to him. They are usually messy, convoluted ever-changing that's why they're hard to talk about all at once. This is on purpose because Ákos is also having a hard time deciphering his feelings.

You already know the going blank thing.

Now get ready for: The misplaced guilt!

Ahh! Aiden, stop shooting me or I'll show you the bad end au, I swear to god!

The other characters know about it, and the will keep telling Ákos it was not his fault until he understands.

He feels guilty for two reasons:

First because kids are just more likely to blame themselves for the things that happen to them.

Secondly, Ákos has been told many times to be careful or his curiosity will get him into trouble. He wanted to listen to these warnings, he tried to be careful, but... can you imagine you want to walk on a frozen lake and at first you're testing out if the ice is thick enough, then you slowly get more confident? That's what Ákos was doing, even if his tests weren't really careful, because he just wanted to get to the good part. And until now whatever interesting thing he found was worth the risk. This time it wasn't. Ákos found a secret drawer with a secret book and he was so excited, then so scared.

And in his head he can't make sense of the fact that:

"You need to be just a little more careful"

Is a statement that coexists with:

"It wasn't your fault"

Because all Ákos can think is, "if hadn't looked into that drawer none of this would have happened" which is true, but it still doesn't mean that it was his fault! I could write an essay on this but I don't think I have to convince you, Aiden or anyone that it wasn't Ákos' fault! Noone thinks that, but him! NOT EVEN ODETTE!

This is made worse by the fact that Odette helped everyone with all sorts of things, but now she can't and they have to get used to it. And every time Ákos sees Endre struggling with his duties (that Odette helped with), or Adél being extra anxious (that she also helped with) all he can think is: if it wasn't for me she could still help them.

ON TOP OF ALL THIS: Before she pushed him off into the swamp, Odett hugged him and said sorry. Can you imagine how confusing that'd be for a kid after the fact?

Ákos: I mean, I'm not really mad at her, because in hindsight it makes sense that she would retaliate when I didn't want to keep her secret. And even if I were mad she said she was sorry, and it all worked out in the end, so I can't be mad at her, right?

The worst thing is I do kind of get it, if I was taught that I should be less curious so I won’t get in situations TM and then this exact thing I was warned about happened, I’d blame myself too probably.

What’s even worse I think is that he blames himself but not Odette, the only person who truly was responsible for the situation.

Yep! Recently I have been messing around with it as well, for kinktober, and now I'm a bit ashamed to look my beta in the eyes.

I will admit, I usually post my kinky smut on an alt for that excat reason. Too many people I know irl know my main AO3 handle ^^;

But yeah, I love writing smut! But sometimes I want to play around with themes or settings too, and it doesn't always belong in those stories.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Yep! My fave is this fic, which I consider to be one of my best works:

I am also working on a few side projects that are crossovers. Since they're both longfics, I'm waiting to have over half of them done before releasing them (I've learned my lesson about those XD).

One is a Bablyon 5 and Star Wars crossover, where droids invade the world of B5, and a clone battalion is sent through to stop them.

The other is about the bad batch waking up on Blackreef.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not stolen, but I have had elements of a story plagiarized. I never called the other author on it, because it was one of their first fics, and because of the fandom and tags we had in common I don't think it was malicious.

I just keep forgetting it exists tbh ^^; I've changed and grew a lot as a writer since I started it, and as I've said it would need a full rewrite. Maybe one day I will get to it (It is my second most popular fic as well), because the two fandoms it's from deserve that, but I have like 3 longfics to get through before that.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Characters. Funnily enough it's also one of my greatest weaknesses because if I can't write a character, I never will, but for those that I do write well, well, they're great.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dyslexia and writing on mobile. Sometimes my autocorrect does things, and I don't notice them, and then my beta goes "???" on stuff that any 4 year old would have caught XD

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I did it once, I'll do it again! But readers did drop it after those chapters (and that fic is no longer on AO3). I think it adds a lot of realism to a scene.

On that note, one of my favourite Outer Worlds fics had Welsh text in it. The author went to great lengths to make it readable to peeps who didn't speak it, with hyperlinks and stuff. But I was reading on mobile, so it never worked for me XD I had google translate open in the background, and was missing half the dialogue, but i was sooo into it that I didn't care.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Soul Eater. But that fic will never see the light of day. I'm even more embarrassed by it than I am from showing my experimental kinky smut to my irl friends. (Yes it involved a shinigami self-insert smooching Death the Kid). I was 14...

Oof. Umm... on tumblr in general? It was (unsurprisingly!) a take in the Voltron: Legendary Defender fandom; I don't think any other fandom experience can ever (thankfully) truly top that one. I'm going to refrain from a screenshot, though I'm sure I can still find the post in the depths of my blog, out of courtesy to a friend whose perfectly reasonable and innocuous post this ugly take was in response to; that is one fandom drama dragon that is fast asleep and I never, ever want to wake it up again lmao. But, for context: friend posted that you can like [X] character without liking [Y] character and vice versa, and maybe people should not go after fans who happen to only like one or the other instead of both; the post got completely hijacked and derailed with increasingly poor takes that were not only awful re: interpretation of characters but also were insinuations about my friend, presented in such an insidious manner as to attempt to instigate a witch hunt. One of the worst, trashiest displays of fandom I have witnessed on this or any website.

She's not naive, she's not helpless, she's got her own set of flaws and failings which are completely separate from her husband, and she's such a stronger, more compelling character because of them ♡

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

I feel like this goes for most fanon lol, but let's go with the "the Feanorians are in the Void," since that's fresh in my mind from that poll yesterday XD I mean, I guess for people who don't like them, there's the satisfaction of "punishment" or whatever, but like. it's such a narratively unfulfilling set up to me? Tolkien himself could tell me that this is canon, and it would be one of those situation where I'd be like, "Okay cool, not to me tho ✌️" Like, it has no emotional payoff, no thematic congruence, no lore-compliant logic, just. no appeal. Again, aside from those fans who hate the Feanorians and thus get a kick out of it, I honestly don't understand the draw and I'm always surprised to see how popular of a headcanon it is. The Feanorians in Mandos, alongside everyone else -- multiple generations of their own families; everyone who died in the kinslayings; still being part of the circles of the world and still having to exist and operate within them -- is so much tastier to my senses ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Honestly.... There is a lot.

Like the fact that my art is inconsistent. Sometimes it's more comic, sometimes more realistic and I just can't settle.

I overwork the simple paintings and underwork the complicated pieces.

I find it hard to paint materials and concepts.

Or that I do the same pose and face direction all the time.

Or that I have trouble with dynamics and light sources.

Or that my coloring is always dark and with stark contrast. (I struggle so hard with pastels * cry * ever seen me make one? No? Now you know why. Also skin color terrifies me. I make white skin too yellow. Dark skin too red or too gray and one day it will fall back on me.)

On a positive notes, i'm good at making stuff glow :D

I struggle keeping a style together in the very same piece as well. Sometimes my stuff is unintentionally impressionistic at some point. But also like.... Too Clean in color, if you know what I mean. Like.... You can see where I fail keeping the picture together.

And don't get my started on my inconsistent line art.... -_-

Or.... The messed up anatomy at times.

But two of my least favorable problems is

A.: I can't do character interactions, which is what I really love in comics and fan comics.

B.: I need reference for everything and suck at straying off them to make something my own.

You can see that in all the paintings I do of screenshots. Those are the easy pieces, even if they don't seem that way. I find simplicied creative art much harder to make.

The absolute worst is, however, my lack of patience. If a picture takes longer than 5 hours, I simply won't do it and that's why I'm unhappy with.... 99% of what I post.

Be done in two settings max or die, or so my brain tells me.

The thing is I am still working on my style and that's why all of that is less bad than it sounds. I have a lot to learn and overall I love doing art more than I regret any mistakes and struggles I make/have and I have a special love for every new picture that I do paint.

Everything I do struggle with I can work on.

I just wish I had more ideas and more patience to get them done.

"It has been my observation that one of the prices of giving people freedom of choice is that sometimes they make the wrong choice." Feels. That's too close to home (I can't wait for the 2024 election but I'm also terrified that somehow we STILL won't get the Tories out...)

"It's for Vedek Bareil, ACTUALLY." Oh I love you Kira, I'm sorry you have to talk to this woman. 

"He never wanted fame or glory for what he did. As someone who loved him, I'm surprised you didn't that." I HATE HER. And just because someone wasn't seeking game as their motive, doesn't mean you can't recognise their contributions!

The wind in Kira's hair is so powerful. She's beautiful.

"Did you explain to Shakaar that you were there on the direct authority of the First Minister?" She loves power so much, and it's so obvious she thinks she should be respected just because of that authority - she doesn't even try to earn it.

"Shakaar sounds like a prideful and arrogant man." SHUT UP, THAT'S WHAT YOU AR-- "It also seems there's no reasoning with him." Oh my GOODNESS, she's clearly just making excuses why is actually his fault she won't talk to him!

"This isn't your fight, Nerys. Go home." "I am home, Shakaar, and I have been lied to by Kai Winn for the last time. She wants a fight, I'll give her one." YES KIRA

"Don't worry, coach. I won't let you down." Idk just Julian smiling at Miles and everyone being so supportive :3 

I love that Miles bring "in the zone" is the entire B plot though XD

I'm honestly not sure if they're faking it or not - but Miles is a good actor if so. 

"It's been two weeks since I was forced to send the militia into Dahkur Province." FORCED?! FORCED?!!!!

"I'm more than willing to do that, on one condition... I'd like you to provide a Federation security force to take their place." That's... That's not what he's saying though. He's saying any force out there is Not What Is Needed. 

"I wasn't aware that our relationship needed solidifying." Sisko calmly rebutting Winn will always be my favourite, he's so good at taking her down in a way that's polite yet savage.

"So, you're refusing my request for aid?" "I suppose I am." I love him <3

"That would be an unfortunate overreaction." Which she knows but thinks she can get away with and make the whole ordeal - and rejecting Federation membership - look perfectly reasonable.

"This is a test, a test by the Prophets. They want to see if I'm worthy [...] I will not fail them. I will stop Shakaar by any means necessary." The scary thing is I actually think she believes that this is The Right And Moral Thing To Do. She's terrifying. And just The Worst. 

I really, really love the way this is solved. Real Bajorans not wanting to hurt and fight each other, and recognising they have the power to change something so stupid. 

"So this is a coup?" "No, it's a free election." Well, kind of both if you have military backing... But I love Winn not getting her way. 

(Why did they give her the power of First Minister before having the elections? But I guess it's good they did, or she wouldn't have had enough rope to hang herself with before her power was solidified with a vote.)

Why is Julian looking so shocked at throwing a twenty? It's funny when pre-augmentation things don't quite make sense and you have to headcanon them away. (I'm saying he wasn't really thinking about what he was doing and didn't realise he'd thrown until the board beeped with success.)

M - If I forgive betrayal.

I'm a very situational person, I love things given context to so I can really put myself into the shoes of it all. But for general sake, I'm gonna say no. I can't. I have had a lot of people come and go in my life and many have been because they've hurt me, and in lasting ways too (dare I say....traumatising ways?). So if I end up hurt in betrayal? I couldn't forgive them. Context would matter of course, but...from current outcomes, it's a no.

N - If you want to know how I treat my friends.

I treat them like family. Honestly, if they're that close to me then they're family. One thing I do wish is that I got it back though. The saying I was raised around was "Treat others how you'd like to be treated" and it's stuck to me now.

But I've also come to learn that other people don't seem to grasp that concept or they abuse that concept. Which I guess wouldn't be wrong in comparison to my family's act sometimes but it isn't how it should be.

T - 5 things I love unconditionally.

Hmm, can't think of five but I can definitely do three. First is definitely my boys, my lil homeslices Bud and Murf (dogs by the by). Everyday there's something new with them whether it be Murf trying to back talk my Ma, or Buddy barking at Murf for stealing his blanket, it's like watching The Odd Couple with them. But I love them so much, they bring a lot of joy into my life just by sitting in front of me and blinking xD.

I suppose another would be the friends that have stuck by me through a lot of shit. They're few and far between and I don't tell them enough I love them but I do, and I appreciate everything and anything they do or say to me. Even if it's just sending me a picture of a racoon with a caption "God gave one look at me and ran away" or some shit I still love it dearly.

The stinky lil men that I've fallen for in fandoms. They're a widespread of personality, looks, even species but the unbridled joy seeing them in media posts or even hearing their VAs or actors in other media makes me so fucking happy. Giddy leg kicks and all, baby!

V - 3 big dreams.

Transitioning. That's the biggest one. I've probably mentioned it before at some point but that's been my big dream, specifically getting top surgery, cause I'm tired of wearing bulky clothes along with a binder to hide my size. I wanna wear open shirts damn it! Alongside going on hormones and finally feeling comfy in existing but top surgery is the big one. Hate that I don't have much of a choice but to go abroad but there's plentiful doctors with amazing top surgery records that have caught my eye. I hope it's sooner rather than later.

I'm conflicted on saying a job, cause in my current state, that's a no bueno for even education but I hope to one day be stable enough for it. And my dream job is...it's a toss between something to do with computers like cyber crime or ethical hacking for business' firewalls and protection and blah, or paramedics. Two vastly different jobs but they've stuck with me for most of my life. They're both (if I take the cyber crime route) jobs I can say "I've done something to help others" instead of letting whatever stop me and waste my time while I'm still kicking. They'll both be something I'll be proud I did.

This is probably the most open I'm ever going to be on tumblr (past me would be shocked but proud it's not DA anymore) but one other dream is to function. I want to be able to have that deep breath and move on technique work for me and allow me to continue past whatever may have faltered me for a moment. I'm tired of getting upset over the littlest things, tired of thinking I'm disposable (despite much evidence in my past supporting it but the past is the past), tired of not understanding why I can't keep a hold on most things, and just tired of not...meeting what I should be meeting at my age?

There's no one pressuring me, no one hurting me, no one causing any of this but the silly little chemicals in my brain. And, currently, without supports in both friends/family and professional (because thanks HSE for telling me I'm "doing too good for their services") I'm just...not functioning. 10. What was your favorite new release of the year?

Embarrassingly enough I don't think I read anything released in 2021. I'm currently reading a psalm for the wild built though, so hopefully I'll have finished one by the new year xD

16. What is the most over-hyped book you read this year?

Ooh this is hard, I have several, but the two biggest ones were Red, White and Royal Blue and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (both of which I wouldn't have picked up if it weren't for the hype).

RWaRB was just... so boring. I care about none of the characters. Some people complained it read like fan fiction which I don't necessarily think has to be an issue, but it read like a fanfiction which would need you to care about these characters before you read it to be even vaguely engaging. I cared so little I didn't even rate it.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was the worst, though. It has been praised to high heavens on just about every platform, and it's the one novel I've consistently seen described as a "future classic", but, at risk of sounding like an asshole, those reviews kind of read like 'baby's first adult fiction read' after actually reading the novel myself - which there isn't anything wrong with, but it leads to a massively disappointing experience. The themes handled may technically be adult, but the author felt the need to hold your hand and tell you what to feel and think about pretty much every situation, and despite the language being simplistic and topics only explored at surface level it had these weirdly flowery, faux-philosofizing passages that seemed to only be there for their quotability. I honestly haven't thought about it since right after I read it 6ish months ago so I can't go into more detail but if you want anything but a sometimes fun-ish, superficial, drama-filled old Hollywood story w a typical tragic LGBTQ narrative and surprising yet disappointing plot twists then I wouldn't recommend it. It's an ok read, I guess, but enormously overhyped imo.

17. Did any books surprise you with how good they were?

The House in the Cerulean Sea! I thought it would be a cute read, sure, but it was such a perfect found family comfort read, and I want more!

24. Did you DNF anything? Why?

Get a life, Chloe Brown. I managed to get through maybe 10 percent of the audiobook before the narrator got on my nerves too much for me to continue, and literally nothing even remotely interesting had happened this point so I probably won't pick it up again.

Personality: I can get hard to know at first because I have trust issues (my heart has been broken okay) . Not too mention people don't try to get know me because of my major Resting Bitch Face. They think I am judging them or that I am scary. But I am not... I am attentive so I will stand up for myself and anyones else. I am patient. Also, after you get to know me you will realize I am a chaotic crackhead with a melodramatic persona. Like "your star is here!" "The stage is calling for me. Move out of my way" "the spotlight is on me so could you move you crusty face?" I like to tease and flirt with the people I am close to. I zone out or daydream a lot. And in the worst times. It could be a serious meeting and I am chuckling because of something in my head. Which have scared people. It could be during a conversation and I will stop listening. Likes/hobbies: i like my anatomy class and I like to read, write, meditate (because I get stressed a lot). I really like to dance and listen to music. My passion lies in the arts and crafts. I would like to do illustration and photography. More specifically street fashion photography and and event photography. Like weddings and funerals. (This happened when someone gives me affection and time try to turn the attention to them as way to hide my fluster)

I am not good receiving verbal affection or physical affection. I was never given affection so I am not used to it. I will start blushing and stop working. I will also probably say "idiot" or turn the attention to them like "no.. u" but I think fails because I am terrible at hiding my blush. I get easily flustered with affection okay. But I won't ever admit that I like it. Though it is obvious.

Sexuality: i am bisexual so it doesn't matter what gender I am paired up with.

Sebastian is very curious in nature, so he definitely wants to know what you're really like, not the front you put on.

He's also very charming when he wants to, he makes it very easy to open up to him and get comfortable around him.

Sure, he, as a demon, doesn't really care much for humans, so when he doesn't have to play the polite, kind butler, he probably has a RBF as well, however, I think that changes when he's interacting with someone he loves.

His sweet words may have been a mask at first, so he could see the real you, but the closer you two become, the more he means every word of praise, encouragment or comfort he utters.

He would most certainly be amused by your crackhead self once you do get comfortable around him, but it's not really his vibe. He wouldn't scold you for being loud, brash or inapropriate, like he does the other servants.

If he's in a really good mood or when the situation calls for it, he can be dramatic as well. Sometimes he'd do it just to get on Ciel's nerves XD

One big pro of being with Sebastian is that he lets you off the hook a lot. If he was talking to anyone else and they'd space out, oh honey, he would stare them down so hard, it's sending chills down my spine just thinking about it. But if it's you it's like a complete 180, Sebastian can't possibly be mad at you, everyone spaces out sometimes, those things just happen.

The other servants make sure to be on your good side so that you could intercede with him on their behalf.

You can't scare him with your true crime stories, but you sure as hell can scare the others. And you can bet your ass Seb's gonna help! The plan is: You tell the story and then he's gonna pop up out of nowhere behind them, giving them mini heart attacks.

If you try to scare him though, you'll need to be on guard 24/7 until he gets you in return. And even if your on guard all the time, he finds a way to scare the life out of you.

Your humor is practically the same, I mean, Sebastian is great at off handed remarks/roasts and sarcastic comments that you have to look for to really see them. You two could be talking shit about anyone and everybody would be like "Oh yeah, normal conversation, yes"

Sebastian would love to dance with you. And trust me when I say this, he is good at any type of dance. If you two are ever at a ball, prepare your feet, because he's not gonna let go of you the whole night (unless his master is in danger of course).

He would be your #1 supporter, he'd go with you out to take photos, and if you asked him to look at some, he'd take a good long look at each and every one of them and describe in detail how he feels about them. Also would go to any art shows you'd host if it came to it.

When it comes to sympathy and empathy, Sebastian also has a hard time showing these feelings. He's been alive for far longer than any human on Earth and he's a demon. He's never had any of the problems humans have, so naturally he doesn't kniw what it feels like to have them. Plus, before you came into his life, he didn't care much for them either.

However, he's gonna be there for you whenever you need him, emotionally or practically, even though he doesn't get your feelings.

You both have walls put up, you because of bad past experiences, him because as a demon, he has major issues with being vulnerable in any way. And I'm not talking just emotionally here, but demons are almost undestroyable, yet they have very few weaknesses that they just need to hide away.

It's rare Sebastian has a problem, but even if he had, you wouldn't know, because he thinks you, as a human, wouldn't understand and so he won't burden your mind with it. However, he's very perceptive and so if your behaviour changes, be it due to anxiety or a depressive episode, he'll know.

Now, he's not the type of person to try and break down your walls by force, but in situstions like these, where he's not sure how to help, you gotta talk to him and he won't leave you alone until you tell him how he can help.

He's not above carrying you around and doing everything for you until you're embarassed enough to tell him

He is very appreciative of your help around, since the other servants are good at everything but what they're supposed to do.

You with your tough love and Sebastian with his teeth rotting compliments and affection, it'd be honestly really funny to watch. He adores how you show affection, because it's different from most people he's known. But on the other hand, you can't expect him not to spoil you afte all the hard work you do every day?

If you expected me to say Kingdom Hearts, for once, you're incorrect. Shimomura is a goddess but not a day goes by that some Persona song doesn't live rent free in my brain.

9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it?

Special shout out to Undertale genocide because whenever I hear the "And nobody came" song I get hit with heavy anxiety but no. There's this one Sonic RPG I played when I was a kid and it has the worst soundtrack possible. I mean the game itself isn't great but it is very nostalgic so I love playing it but listening to its soundtrack at all? Absolutely not. No.

15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover?

I am restricting myself from using KH x SPM (because I explored it) and Persona x FE (because a game already exists with that concept) but honestly I think Pokemon and Animal Crossing would be a real cute combination that should exist.

16: Character you’ve hated most? From what game?

(I am actively ignoring characters who are made to be as unlikable as possible. So characters like the palace holders from P5, for example, are not on this list.)

When actively playing the game? The amount of pure animosity I felt towards Kubo when playing Neo TWEWY is absolutely well warranted and I definitely do not like Lorenz and think hating on him is hilarious.

I really do have to, however, give a special shout out to those characters who the fanbase has absolutely ruined for me beyond repair either because they were everywhere when I just didn't really care about them before that and I got/am so tired of seeing their faces (you can probably guess) or because I got so tired of the woobification towards these characters that I am literally sick of seeing their faces and my once fondness towards them has been permanently tainted and destroyed (You can probably guess) because they absolutely deserve this shout out space more than anybody else. I just will not name any characters in this category because I don't want to die.

17: What game do you never tell people you play?

I mean do you think I have shame? It's more I just don't talk about the game than anything else really. Like I still go back to Rugrats Royal Ransom and Disney Party for example. I'm not really embarrassed by it I just never think to mention it. I guess I was pretty ashamed of DMMD for a while but too many people knew about that one for me to be hiding it.

19: Which game do you think deserves a revival?

In the interest of fairness I will not be talking about PMD or Paper Mario, both of which are still alive series, even if the things I actually love about them are no longer around.

So anyways I can't default to TWEWY since we had a sequel this year so like can we just talk about how much I love Coliseum and XD and would love it if Nintendo released more Pokemon games where I get to catch corrupted shadow Pokemon to rescue because those games were great and I love them.

Also never play XD in a way where you only purify all your Pokemon sans Shadow Lugia by hand there are way to many Shadow Pokemon for that it's a rewarding decision but such a tedious one.

Unsurprisingly XD I think in terms of love since the series is long I would go with Heir of Fire but A Heart so Fierce And Broken is also my favoooorite in the Cursebreaker trilogy. I just love the characters. * cough* Grey * cough* but I also love Rowan and that's what Heir Of Fire gave me so... XD

3 New Release You Haven't Read Yet But Want To:

Though to be fair, I plan on reading Any Way The Wind Blows after I finish Tower of Dawn. I realized I have close to none memories of the second one but I don't feel like a re-read so...

And I discovered Nalini Singh last year and I loved it so much I've been meaning to pick up this one for a while.

4. Most Anticipated Release For The Second Part Of The Year:

Winds Of Shadow by Nicki Pau Preto though technically it came out yesterday.

What Once Was Mine by Liz Braswell, the next Twisted Tale. This one's about Tangled, which is one of my fav so... Yeah, I know I have many others to read in this collection XD

Daughter Of The Deep by Rick Riordan because I will read anything by Rick Riordan and Yes, I know I still have two series from him to read XD

The Excalibur Curse by Kiersten White. I didn't love the second one in this series as much as the first but I still want to read the third (and last I think?) one.

5. Biggest Disappointment:

The Duke And I (Bridgertons 1). I loved the show but it's one case of, really, maybe just stick to the show XD

Persephone Station by Stina Leicht. I really reaaaally wanted to love this one but it didn't work out for me. The universe was too messy and it was hard to follow and make sense of the world. That was a dnf I think.

Rebel Rose (the queen's council 1) by Emma Theriault, which is the first instalment in the latest Disney series. Except you wouldn't find one bit of the disney movies or live adaptation in that book if it hit you on the head. I hated it. Another DNF. I will try the next one since it's a different author and it is MULAN but it won't be high priority.

Cinderella Is Dead by Kalynn Bayron. It wasn't bad but I expected to love it and... I didn't.

American Royals by Katherine McGee. I really didn't like it and honestly there are better novels out there if you want to read royalty romances.

6. Biggest Surprise

I hated Throne of Glass so much when I read it that honestly I didn't expect at all to like the sequel but now this series is one of my fav and it just goes to show I need to reread it all when i'm done XD

I was a bit wary of A Curse So Dark And Lonely just because there had been so much hype when it came out and I saw it around so much, it scared me a little, so I went in expecting the worst and I found one of my favorite new series this year.

Same goes for Aru Shah... I was a bit wary after my first try of the Rick Riordan Presents collection ( which was Race To The Sun, another disappointment albeit not as much as others) but this one was soooooo good. If you like mythology or Percy Jackson, I one hundred percent recommend.

Definitely Roshani Chokshi... I had other books from her on my TBR and I want to get to them soonish.

I would also love to read Wings Of Shadow. Not that I'm especially imaptient to know the ending but because those books are huge and I kind of want to be done with that series if it makes sense? I loved it, particularly the meticulous work of world building but it always feel like I've eaten too much once I'm done with it, you know?

Well, I guess the last fandom I’ve properly joined --making a few edits, starting yet-another-WIP etc.-- is Black Sails, so. Plus I want to talk about it a little, spoiler-free, in case you decide to watch it ^-^ (I’ll leave that to the s3 post I need to finish...).

Top 5 favourite characters: Max is my number one, without a doubt, and of the rest of my faves Silver has an edge... but the remaining positions are a tough fight between Flint, Jack, Madi and Miranda, and I honestly can’t choose DD:

Other characters you like: Mr. Scott, Anne, Idelle, the Maroon Queen, Billy, Eme, Abigail... This show has a lot of great characters tbh.

Favourite episodes: the problem with binge-watching (okay, I’ve taken s3 more slowly but) is that they all kinda blur together LOL. Hmm. The season finales are all *chefs kiss* so far (sometimes in a very painful way... I’m looking at you s2. Though the ominous Flint/Silver moments in the s3 were A LOT too); any in which I get to see Max & Silver scheming together ofc. And the first handful of eps in s3 were particularly enjoyable to me because I was drowning in PURE ANGST and Flint & Silver feels xDD (I can’t NOT believe the fandom seems to call one of those “the shark date” asñldfjasdfñl).

Favourite season/book/movie: oof. I honestly can’t pick; s1 is probably the “least” because the others include better moments for some of my secondary faves, and because there’s a plot that’s really hard to watch... BUT it has things on it I adore to pieces too. s1-2 doesn’t have Madi (major drawback xD), and s3 is after one of my faves’ death... but frankly they’re all neck and neck so far.

Favourite quotes: “I am ruined over you” always comes to mind DD: “Liked is just as good as feared”; Max combo with Eleanor about sand (typing that down made me think of Anidala LMFAO. The scene itself is very different though! xD) in the s1 finale; “in another time, in another place, they would call me a queen”; “this ends when I grant them my forgiveness, not the other way around”, Mr. Scott’s “No. Only YOU.”... honestly, this show’s dialogue is just too good(TM), I could just quote it all back xD. And of course, I HAVE to mention “WHO’S BILLY”. It’s the law.

Best musical moment: the score is perfection all around, but given that I never skip the intro just to listen and watch it... yeah, the intro xD

Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: well, I *might* have lost it the moment CAPTAIN FLINT COMES OUT TO LONG JOHN SILVER OVER A BONFIRE, IDK XDD

When it really disappointed you: the fact that I won’t get to see a fully fleshed out Mr. Scott-Silver dynamic is MAJORLY disappointing, let me tell you. That Flint’s actor didn’t somehow get his mother (aka Maggie Smith aka Professor McGonagall aka Lady Violet) on the show too ¬¬. LOL.

Saddest moment: character’s deaths of two of the characters listed on “top 5”/“others you like” xD.

Most well done character death: the hanging in 3x09 was well done and served its purpose.

Favourite guest star: for a value of “guest star”... I’m going with Idelle.

Favourite cast member: Jessica Parker Kennedy is the one that I know and love for other projects she’s done.

Character you wish was still alive: THE ONE WE TRAGICALLY LOST IN 2x09.

Most shocking twist: well, I wasn’t spoiled for Mr. Scott’s plot in s3 so I was (pleasantly) surprised by that xD

When did you start watching/reading?: a little over two weeks ago; I watched (devoured) s1-s2 and 3x01-3x04 in a few days because I wanted to meet Madi, and then I tragically had to slow down :(((

Best animal/creature: I will always love Treasure Islands’  parrot that Silver named after Flint LMFAO.

Favourite location: Nassau aka Max’s ~domain xD. And Miranda’s house.

Trope you wish they would stop using: noooooone. I love the tropes this show reuses LMFAO. Romantic Betrayals(TM), triumvirates, “good things happen in the dark/away from civilization”, the power of narratives, social climbing and revolt... bring them oooooon.

One thing this show/book/film does better than others: quite a few xD. But one that really stands out to me is the dialogue; both the ~deep and sorrowful type (there were so many quotes where I had to take a break to freak out properly lol), and the humorous ones.

Funniest moments: I know I’m repeating myself, but I recently rewatched the pilot to edit some scenes and I keep remember the WHO’S BILLY one xDD (which I maintain it was Flint trolling him. He could give Abigail a rundown of Billy’s whole life story AND he shamelessly checked him out that one time. Flint knows who Billy is, he’s just an asshole xD). Really, all the scenes between Billy and Flint in that episode are comedic gold lmfao. Billy’s “oh dear I fucked up” expression when he tells Flint the crew has started to think him weak and Flint looks half a second away from murdering him right there, his WTF face at Flint’s antics with the stolen page... Gold, seriously.

Couple you would like to see: I meannnnnn. I would’ve been very happy if the show had decided to go with Flint/Madi/Silver, for one. Bonus if Miranda could’ve been included. Or just explicit Flint/Silver in poly arrangements (THEY ARE IN LOVE, IT’S JUST ~COMPLICATED XD).

Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: MAGGIE SMITH DAMMIT.

Favourite outfit: literally everything Max wears in s3. Eleanor’s s1-s2 outfits were things I’d love to wear too. Flint’s ~dramatic coat. Miranda’s collection of supposedly-puritan-but-showing-the-goods dresses xDD (and ofc her London clothes), Jack’s clothes (he’s Nassau’s fashion icon lbr).

Favourite item: the books!! Especially when Flint gave Miranda “La Galatea” as a gift (given that sometimes he reminds me of my OC Latoya, you might understand the freakout I had when he gave the other member of my OTP a book titled like that xDD).

Do you own anything related to this show/book/film?: no, but I kinda want to. I did have a Treasure Planet computer game I tragically can’t find... it was about collecting money in increasingly difficult scenarios LOL. And I probably have more pirate-y/Treasure Island theme stuff. I had a long pirate phase xD

What house/team/group/friendship group/family/race etc would you be in?: Max’s because I like being on the winning team, thanks xD (though I do ~align more with Flint and Madi’s lbr...).

Most boring plotline: Eleanor and Vane’s ~romance is not at all badly written... but the fact that I find both of them boring kinda ruins the whole thing because I always wish that time went to someone else xD. Also, Blackbeard. Meh.

Most laughably bad moment: n/a.

Best flashback/flashfoward if any: the London flashback where Miranda goes to Flint’s house unannounced to take him to an art gallery, she finds him half-naked and he gets all awkward about it lmao. And then they hook up in the carriage :DDD

Most layered character: we get to explore Flint and Silver the most. Silver’s development in particular is something that never ceases to impress me ngl.

Most one dimensional character: except the one-note characters I wouldn’t really call anyone completely one-dimensional, tbh. Though I do think the fandom attributes more complexity to Thomas than it’s seen in canon? Like, I like what I see; I think he’s functional, he works well, and he adds wonderfully to Flint’s (and Miranda’s) story, but I don’t see him as a full character in his own right. Which is perfectly fine for the narrative so far, but I fear it might fall apart for me at the very end.

Scariest moment: I never know what to say in this... I mean, I guess Flint killing a man with his bare hands in the pilot Like That was scary xD. I understand why Silver freaked out LOL.

Grossest moment: any of Max’s interactions with Vane tbh. Stay away from her ¬¬

Best looking male: Flint has that ruggedly handsome thing going on for him, if you’re into that (and sometimes I do appreciate his ~aesthetics... very sad he shaved his head in s3 though. Like, I get you did it for the Angst, honey, and trust me, I Feel U, but still). I feel like I might be forgetting someone, but seriously, none of the dudes in this show so far do anything for me LOL. I can honestly say I love them for their personalities xDD

Best looking female: I have a weakness for Max, but Miranda, Madi, Anne, the Maroon Queen, Idelle, Eme... all of them are gorgeous in their own way. This show is good for sapphic women’s enjoyment in that sense xDD.

Who you’re crushing on (if any): I could crush on any of the women mentioned above tbh.

Favourite cast moment: I have literally only seen this post about an interview where Flint’s actor says he’s too old to party with The Youth of the cast and just wants to chill on the weekend... with bonus Max and Eleanor’s actress talking about how Vane’s once climbed the side of a building up AND back down. I’m with you, Toby Stephens, you don’t need those shenanigans xDD

Favourite transportation: the Walrus, for sentimental reasons LOL. I liked stolen Spanish warship too.

Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): lots of good ones, though I think my fave might be the one of Miranda sitting by the window in London. Or the one of Charles Town burning down, I liked that :))) (I remember thinking “Flint better go full Daenerys on them”. And he did! It was nice xD).

At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: I liked it from the word go, but the moment that TRULY cemented it for me was in 1x03, with Max making a decision that I... frankly didn’t expect. It made things worse for her in the short-term, the storyline itself was difficult and disturbing to watch and I still have some mixed feelings about it. But what it said about her as a character and how her journey goes after that... I was in awe of her, and of the show.
