Prompt 21
This past winter, Geralt grabbed a tower of books from the library and holed himself up in his room for practically the entire season.
Eskel walks in one night, intent on just checking in on his brother, only to poke around and find that every book that Geralt is painstakingly studying is medical books, from how to deal with a sore throat to the most rarest of diseases.
Eskel asks Geralt why he needs to know all of this, worried Geralt might be losing his mutagen-induced healing factor?! Is he getting sick!? Are his wounds not healing over time!? Oh GODS!
Oh nvm- Geralt says he's fine :) He's reading all of this because... He met a human bard he wants to keep safe?
Odd... Especially for Geralt... But whatever makes his brother happy!
I just want a scene after some nice gay brotherly teasing that's like
"Ow- Oh no.. Geralt, my arm was scratched by a branch. Hold on, I need to-" And geralt is like FROTHING and is like "WE NEED BANDAGES, THREAD, A NEEDLE, DISINFECTANT, NUMBING SOLUTION, AND I KNOW FOURTEEN DIFFERENT NATURALLY MADE POULTICES I CAN MAKE, AND I KNOW A HELPFUL SPELL A HEDGEWITCH CAN CAST AND-"
"It's just a scratch, Gera-"
"SHIT, SIT DOWN, I GOTTA FIX MY HUMAN BEFORE HE DIES AND I LOSE ONE OF THE ONLY GOOD THINGS IN MY LIFE"

atla fandom's propensity for going into new content with extremely specific expectations and declaring canon content irredeemable/refusing to engage with it further the moment it doesn't meet those hyper-specific expectations. and its effect on society. etc etc

" are you still angry with me ? " \ klee
STARTER ACCEPTED FROM: The Sound of Nightmares!
If there was one thing ALBEDO never expected from KLEE, it would be this question. Sure, there may be easier ways to answer it without hurting a child's heart, but he knew that this was coming from something else.
Still, how could she ask him of that? He couldn't bring himself to fathom such a possibility, especially since...
... No, he can't say that. Not to KLEE. Not to anyone, lest he would make things worse.
"I'm not mad, KLEE," he told the younger child, kneeling to her level. Raising his hand, he gently brushed it on her head, giving her a few pats so to prove his point. "I couldn't be mad at you. You know that, do you?"
He can't bring himself to, even with the amount of trouble she caused. After all, she brings joy in his life, even if they weren't related in any sense of the word.
(He'd have ALICE to thank, as much as her explosive tendencies can go.)
"Why would you think that? Did someone else tell you that I'm angry?" he asked her, his smile still present, but he was simply keeping a front. If anyone had told her that he was angry at whatever she did...
Perhaps... It would be wise that she doesn't see his less than friendly side. He'd hate to have KLEE emulate his example in dealing with people like it, even if it wasn't his 'style'.
