At Bradley’s - Post Mission (ch 2/2)

It’s been a few days since they’ve come back to dryland post mission, everyone who flew the mission or saw combat had been discharged by the army of doctors that had checked them out.

Jake had been sleeping soundly, tired after packing his things and cleaning the apartment, but even the bone-deep exhaustion wasn’t able to prevent the nightmare from waking him up.

He’s about to step away, go back to his car and try to fall asleep once again, when the door opens revealing Bradley there in just some gym shorts and a threadbare shirt, curls wild and looking worn down, like he had been sleeping.

“Jake?”

“God, you were sleeping, weren’t you? I’m so sorry, I, um, I’m gonna go.” He turns to go but a hand holds his own wrist. It’s not a strong hold, not when Bradley’s thumb is caressing his hand, but is enough to keep him in place.

“Jake,” he calls him out, voice soft. “Talk to me.”

If you were really sorry, you would leave me alone. So stop calling me and texting me. Stop harassing my friends and don’t come back. I get it, you’re sorry. But if you really cared about me in the first place, you would’ve never pulled that shit.”

An elder woman was quick to open it and you threw yourself in her arms, wrapping your arms around her. Mickey smiled softly and locked eyes with the woman holding you close. Your mom quickly released you from the hug and she looked at you surprised. "Oh My! He's even more handsome than on the pictures you sent me!"

//I officially watch Top Gun: Maverick over 250 times. I watch it almost every day, maybe twice a day, but today, three times going on number four. Also, I've been working on replies while watching the movie because I'm multitasking.

"I can do music some time." He wasn't a multiple sources of sound all at once, that was a lot when he was home and trying to chill. When he was out, than Hawkeye was fine. That had to do with his hearing, and since he didn't want to be a total bother to his neighbors. Music would have to be loud for him to feel the vibration, which he loved when he didn't have his hearing aids in. It's why tv shows and anything he could throw closed caption on, because he could look up and read what was happening without need for sound. "That's not really watching anything, I do tv or music or rot."

When Tony says that he has met Tom Cruise, Clint squints at him. "He's still hot." He argues and than he is reminded of Tony's fame. He thinks Tom would been a fantastic Tony and now that he's crushed his crush on Tom Cruise, he thinks it's even more accurate if he played Tony Stark now.

"This is one of my favorite movies, next to the Indiana Jones series." He says, just to be spiteful and make Tony feel bad for daring to trample upon Maverick before he's even seen it.

Clint snort as Lucky directly hops up onto Tony's lap, now he get to live with what Clint puts up with daily. Granted his dog was one of the biggest anti-depressant he had. Loved when the pup would hop up on the couch and cuddle him. "Good luck, convincing him." When the movie started for real, when the first dialogue was spoken, he would get Lucky to move for Tony, so he wasn't a pest in the way.

"I put music on or the news usually. Or both. Very occasionally while I have some music on and like eight different news networks playing, there will be some show on that I've been meaning to catch up on, but can you really say you watched a show in those conditions?"

He turned and looked at Clint, giving a small shrug. "Can I tell you something? I met Tom Cruise and he is such a huge douche, I tend to avoid movies with him in them. I just only see him when I see him. Like the guy wouldn't let the wait staff look him in the eye. He was supposed to play me in some biopic and I just nixed the whole thing. Couldn't have it."

He took a seat and startled when Lucky jumped into his lap. He grunted and patted the dog, bursting into laughter. "Oh, am I your new best friend?" he laughed, as he started to pat Lucky. "I like you too. Maybe you can sit in a way that's more comfortable for both of us, huh?"

He wasn't actually sure what to do now. He didn't want to push him off, but he didn't know how to get Lucky to lie down either. He looked over at Clint for some kind of support. He'd planned to talk more about the pole dancing but Lucky had pushed the thoughts right from his head.
