TikTok really leaning into the lack of reading comprehension today. I commented on a video of a tornado that it looked like something out of Hollywood, because it DID. It was just a weirdly photogenic tornado. The exact sort you'd put in a textbook or a movie. Perfect twisty cone, artfully lit, fascinating swirls of semi-transparent clouds along the bottom.
But OH BOY are some people losing their minds over the comment. Lots of "this was a real tornado" and "you'd know it was real if you'd ever been to the midwest."
Babes. Tell me where I said it wasn't real. Tell me. Point it out. POINT IT OUT.
I'm not bothered, honestly I'm amused. Like. Can y'all calm down and remember how figurative language works? Chill.
(There's just as many people defending me/agreeing with the comment, for the record. If it gets out of hand I'll just delete it. But I don't care enough to bother right now.)
