the only thing i will say is that i personally don't care whether celebrities post on social media or not because i personally believe that outsourcing donations to your millions of fans isn't activism. YOU are the millionaire, YOU donate and pass along information so your followers educate themselves and support the cause other ways

HOWEVER it's the knowledge of complete inaction that i can't shake off. you don't have to say anything if you believe it would put your tour or fans in jeopardy or in any danger, even if you don't want to upset sponsors or whatever, but there are ways to do stuff without publicising it and we know it's not being done. she has the money to support so many families, to finally bring nicola coughlan's fundraiser (which has been going on SINCE 7th october) to the goal, donate to MSF who accept large anonymous donations, directly donate to the UNRWA, what have you. and she hasn't and we know she hasn't. that's what gets to me sometimes. i don't care what she says, i care what she does and it's so painful to see that what she's doing seems to be... nothing
