How is it possible that this apartment on Central Park West has no windows, only skylights? I saw this and found the listing- it really doesn’t have windows. Take a look.

This is a 1bd. 1ba. apt. on Central Park West in New York City, has no windows, and is for sale for $599K. (Instead of the normal 20% percent down, they want at least 40%.) There’re windows all around this building, so where can this unit be?

Look at the fancy lobby. 

They must’ve converted some attic space or something, but the # of the apt. is 107, which would indicate that it’s on the 1st fl. Maybe it’s an old janitorial space in the back of the building. 

So, you walk into the living room. Nothing but walls and a skylight. 

The kitchen is off the living room, and doesn’t have a skylight.

The bd. has a skylight. This would make me claustrophobic.

Small walk-in closet.

And, the bath.

Thought I'd share a teaser from the last finished chapter, too.

Despite my doubts, we made it past the door and into the living-room. Gently dropping me on the soft furs covering the floor, he went straight for the fireplace. My sluggish brain only noticed he was trying to start the fire with his blaster when I heard the shot. "Sheesh, Bode!" I yelped, startled. "It has a button!" "Oh." He looked around, located the said button and pressed it. The fire sprung to life, so warm and so welcome. He grimaced approvingly. "This really is no shack."

It's still a rough draft, so pardon the unrefined wordage, lol. But.... alone in a remote location, fireplace, furs,... *wink wink* 😊

I just finished reading LSoE and all I kept thinking about is what the Hamato home looks like, because you mentioned that there was a garage and front yard big enough for Donnie's plants, and so like anyone with ADHD would do I set upon looking for a home that fit that description. OH MAN this is actually PERFECT.

I mean the furniture obviously is WAY too fancy, but the layout is VERY VERY similar to what I was going for, I'm so glad it was accurate enough that you could pull the house layout directly from my head. I was planning a HEAVILY choreographed fic that I was putting off strictly because I knew I'd have to be a little precise about the house layout, and I didn't feel like hunting around z*llow or making something on the Sims lol.

Yoshi fills their house with beaten and scuff old furniture that he inherited from his family. It was all taken out of storage after the Hidden City, and later MORE was taken out of storage after he bought a bigger house and moved out of the old penthouse apartment.

It's all antique furniture that is not treated like antique furniture, and is probably wildly expensive but instead it's in a home with four teenage boys and Lou Jitsu. To the casual eye it looks like a wizard house probably.

Needless to say, thanks SO MUCH for this. I just took a million screenshots, and I might sit and make an actual proper layout using this as reference. Weirdly the staircase, the master bedroom, and the kitchen area with all the connecting rooms are almost EXACT matches for what I was imagining.
