Yeah, sorry, but shut the hell up. It never fails to astound me when DC actually tries to fix the mistakes they made with Talia/the al Ghuls in general these last two decades and the fans manage to be even worse than DC by clinging to the blatant racist/sexist writing of the past instead of embracing the turn for the better.

She's a fictional character in a fictional universe that is aware that it goes through continuity changes/retcons. What Grant Morrison did to her character was a a complete retcon of her 30 year history and characterization with zero respect for her. Why am I supposed to take Morrison's bullshit as gospel and reject any attempts to fix her from writers who know better?

i love celia because she's like. a sweet and bubbly coworker who's friendly to everyone and calmly handles two doses of semi-awkward flirting every other day. but then she grits her teeth and refuses to back down when threatened by a cannibalistic hunter that she knows regularly murders people. she's so suspicious (affectionate)

… I mean, I don’t know what’s coming, but that realisation on Fan Xian’s face that the justice he wants will never be served while the emperor is in power, swiftly followed by the realisation that going against the emperor on this was why his mother died… that was the end of Fan Xian’s last illusion and I feel like in that moment he was totally ready to follow in his mother’s footsteps. Still fight for what he feels is right or die trying (and he sees his defeat written in the imperial censor’s blood on the palace flagstones)

So many people wish Fan Xian well if he only fits into the system. If he accepts the immense privilege he has and uses it only insofar as he’s allowed.

Too bad for everyone involved that he was never capable of doing that

In this hypothetical, the prosthetics are detachable, able to easily be modified or repaired, even customized for visual or fucntional preferences.

Getting them is about as safe as any other major surgery; certain amount of risk, yadda yadda. There's more details that would sway an answer, if this were something currently going on -- like the cost, can you sub out these prosthetics if they ever halt production, do you need medication to retain them, blah blah-- but, here? This is wish fulfillment. If you have something that hurts, or you wish you could just fix or swap out, you get to have it, just this once.
