Ahhhh ok since everyone is doing it, here I go…..

When I saw Elvis on opening day last year, I was only going because my aunt wanted to bring me. After seeing the movie, I was not only shook af but also in love with austin. I was like all of the other people who didn’t like Elvis, but 3 days later I came to my senses.

Me being me, I ran to this hellsite to find fanfiction about both austin and Elvis. I remember taking a screenshot of someone who had said something along the lines of “WHERE ARE THE AUSTIN BUTLER FICS??!!” Well person from about a year ago, there’s thankfully plenty of them now.

Also I would lastly like to thank Elvis because when I went to go see this movie I was on my graduation trip, fresh out of high school, freshly 19 and it was such a vulnerable time in my life because I didn’t know what I wanted to do or where to go but this wonderful angel of a man blessed me with just a fraction of his beautiful spirit and energy and my life has never been the same sense…. Never in my life have I woken up with such a wholesome feeling in my heart and said “wow, I am so lucky to be able to know about and love this man”. Like I never have loved anyone in this world so much, and I’m sure you all can say the same.

Definitely never going to finish SUNLIGHT which is a shame because I have the entire thing planned out somewhere and it was the brettsey proposal fics of my dreams. In my head it’s finished already because I planned so much of it out lol.

And then of course I’m starting to have doubts that I’ll ever finish Of Sun And Stone because I love it so much and I’m writing for it right now but there is literally YEARS of plot that I want to put my little chenford babies through in this AU and it’s like… the most massive undertaking of a fic I’ve ever had.

Would love to incorporate some French dialogue somewhere because I’m bilingual, or conversational Spanish idk. But I’m always wary of simply translating dialogue into other languages because I can never rely on my syntax or the translation to be correct. Totally support it though!

I think The Möbius Strip has to be one of my favs because it’s so short but so sweet. I love Lokius and what little good parts of the MCU are left so this felt like an underrated gem of mine lol

for my birthday the past few years, i've put together a list of the songs that i feel had the biggest impact on me for that year of my life. this is the first year i have a tumblr, so i figured this would be a nice place to share the list-- mostly for myself, but also to maybe inspire others to do the same! it's kinda like a spotify wrap-up, but...not...

i think someone's favorite songs are a beautiful insight to who they are and what matters to them, and as someone who struggles with being quite shy, i find that talking about music with people is my favorite way to come out of my lil shell. these songs are all so, so incredible and i urge you to give some a listen if you're looking for new tunes!

stop this thing where we see someone does ‘bad’ art and make a point of publicly reposting it to talk about how bad it is, so that we open up people to harass the op.

especially when the artist is still young and is probably still figuring out things that do and don’t work stylistically, or they have good intentions with their art and just don’t really execute it quite right yet.

you all fuckers who draw know as well as anyone that you go through phases of drawing when you’re young, and it’s not always pretty, and it’s certainly not always ‘good’.

It’s fine to have negative and critical opinions of someone else’s art, but maybe consider that art wasn’t made ‘for’ you and that making your criticisms in a public format beyond OP’s ability to control has some fucking consequences and encourages slimeball fuckers to come and harass them over it.

Ahhhh, sorry, but I'm so excited!!! I've been waiting for this for a year now, wow. But it's finally here!! TPWM is finally posted on AO3!!!!!

Now, those of you who read the chapter I posted on here will already know it, and I only made, like... minor edits. But I plan to post chapter 2 this weekend, so be on the lookout for that! Take a look at the notes for more details about the story, but know that this story is a lot more vulgar than TPWP, since Mondo is a more rough and tumble kinda guy, who does not shy from thinking naughty things. It's nothing really explicit until chapter 18 (corresponds to chapter 19 of TPWP, since the chapter numbers are off for the majority of this fic), but it is a lot more vulgar. It also has a lot more cursing. Like... dang. Those of you who have been here a while know that, but still, a warning. I think I checked once and there were over 6,000 instances of the f word in TPWM, out of 300,000. Which is like... 2% of the story. And that's just the f word.

Summary:

Mondo Owada can deal with a lot of shit without any problem. He’s had to in order to survive. An abusive, deadbeat old man. An alcoholic, neglectful ma. The death of his older brother, the only person in this godforsaken world who has ever (and likely will ever) love him. It may have hurt like a bitch and caused him to close himself off emotionally, but he got through it and is still standing strong.

However, trying to sort out the tangled mess of emotions he feels whenever he’s around a certain red-eyed, spiky haired, and impossibly uptight Ultimate Moral Compass? Now, that just might be too much for him to handle.

i am here to share my awkwardness :D

so we went to a family friend's party yesterday evening because they were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary and whenever we go over to their house most of the kids who are there are usually half my age so it's for the most part awkward because the kids consist of 12 years and younger and then me, the awkward 19 year old who blends in 🤡

so naturally, in the middle of the party i get bored of being my mom's shadow and decided to walk outside and sit in the backyard where my brother and the other kids were playing

now i get along pretty well with them and do actually play along with the kids but since there were so many new people i just awkwardly sat off to the side and read a book on my phone instead akhdfjn

while they're playing this really r e a l l y tall dude walks up (i'm not joking he's probably like 6'5") and he goes "can i play with you guys?" to my brother and his friends who are all playing football and obviously they say yes, except my brother calls him uncle (an honorific for older men) which is the wrong move because this man is only 21 😭

WHICH STARTS TO MAKE SENSE AS TO EVENTS THAT HAPPENED PRIOR

so obviously at parties they have the dads and uncles (actually any male who's college age and older) serve food for others and ofc he's the one serving the main dish so when i go to get my food he's really flustered and keeps dropping the spoon and the food in the spoon and whatnot which i thought "ah he's probably just awkward like me" but nah he found out i was in college as well and let me tell you- indian men who find out you're near their age move like a fucking jaguar marron 5 who i'm sorry i'm tired and a mess akbjdfn

anyways fast forward to once it got dark all the parents are playing games and talking downstairs and naturally we're upstairs watching a movie (despicable me 2) and since i'm with people i'm more comfortable with i'm more animated and am actually talking and being my loud self but what i don't realise is that this man has been upstairs this entire. time. and to make matters worse he's been staring at me this entire time as well but once i caught him he looked away and i'm just sitting there looking like that one lisa staring meme because why-

Notes: As discussed in previous posts, it’s VERY hard for foreigners to buy tickets on e+. Their service requires a registration with an active Japanese phone number which needs to be verified via SMS/call (something I managed to do a couple of years ago with the help of a kind friend in Japan - it wasn’t easy at all). On top of that, you can ONLY pay with Japanese credit cards or at convenience stores (once again, something that was only possible because I know kind people who are willing to help me with stuff like that). Lots of hurdles which aren’t easily overcome. *sighs* I know that e+ does in fact have an overseas ticket service but alas, Hikaru’s team have decided not to offer it. Maybe it wouldn’t have paid off for them, I don’t know. However, I think you CAN use a proxy service like FromJapan or WhiteRabbitExpress because they will handle the whole process for you. Careful though! It has come to my attention that certain foreign fans cannot access the relevant e+ pages anymore. I think the reason for that might be that e+ blocked the countries where their overseas service is available. So even if you get a Japanese ticket through FromJapan etc you might not be able to access the event without using some proper VPN. LIVE COMMENTARY/IMPRESSIONS (TO BE UPDATED)

The current background music is an acoustic instrumental arrangement of a famous song I know but for the live of me, I can’t remember its name or the lyrics. Sounds a bit jazz-y, pop standard-ish, I’m guessing that will be the vibe for the event? I don’t really know the other piece they are playing now. Could be anything really.:P

It’s a small but cute venue. Takeshi Kato (from SPICE) is enthusiastic as always as host XD Hikaru looks super cute. They are clapping “Happy Birthday” for her (they can’t sing due to COVID guidelines unfortunately). She also got a little cake and and Amazon giftcard from her management.

Time for a little “How much do you know about H-el-ical//”  quiz: She needs to reply within 5 seconds which Hikaru finds very difficult. On what day was “pulsation” released? (June 1 2019) The venue for her 1st H-el-ical// live? (Kanagawa Kenmin Hall) How many H-el-ical// songs are there in total? (24) How many goods did she sell for her acoustic live in 2020? (11) Something about the key being different in the first part of the song compared to all her other songs. Hikaru doesn’t know this. Gushimiyagi chose that question :P Apparently it’s Landscape. i’m leaving this blog

hi! this post is a bit long but at the end you’ll find prompts and requests that you are free to use if you’re a writing blog :).

hi there!! if you’re reading this, i hope you’re doing well and staying safe. i just wanted to say that i’m leaving this blog and i’m not sure if i’ll ever come back. the years i’ve spent being a harrie have been great and it’s been a crazy amount of time! pretty much since the x factor! however, for a long time it’s also felt like i’ve been forcing myself to be a fan of harry’s. i’ve put so much energy into being a fan of his that it hasn’t been fun for me in a while and neither has writing fanfiction, which is what this blog is mainly for. it’s felt very difficult to sit down and write a fantasy about somebody who i might not even like anymore and in hindsight it seems a little dumb, but i did stress over writing all the time. this isn’t really about anybody i’ve interacted with on tumblr because you’re all lovely but sometimes it feels as though harries don’t treat him like he’s a human being and instead like he’s a god. me, included. even though i know we joke about harry being the only man we’d let degrade us or destroy our lives or whatever, he is still a person at the end of the day! it took me a very long time to realize that and thinking of him as otherworldly or completely perfect was my way of thinking for a while and i think it was pretty damaging. the fact that so many people would literally die for him is sad because unfortunately, none of us are going to be on his “level”, so to speak. we don’t know him personally and chances are we aren’t ever going to. ahhhh please don’t be mad at me for saying this, it’s just something i’ve realized i need to change about myself and i think it’s something we should all consider about everyone we are fans of. 

anyway, the time and energy i’ve spent on something so ridiculous is exponential and i really feel like it’s time to put it in the past. i’m dedicating this year to self-growth and part of that is learning how to be my own person. feeling like i have to be interested in something or someone in order to be normal has been a common theme in my life and harry has been that someone for as long as i can remember. this isn’t his fault of course but i’m getting older and i don’t want to think of this time in my life as the era that i was obsessed with harry styles. instead, i want to form memories and real life experiences instead of using fanfiction as a way to cope with all of the things that i can’t handle in my life. it worked for a while but at this point i’ve been reading it and writing it for so long that it feels like i’m living inside my head, like i’ve become dependent on it (obviously this is very bad lolol). so, long story short, i will be leaving this blog because it just isn’t good for me anymore. thank you to everyone who has requested things for me to write and anyone who has interacted with my writing. sorry i couldn’t get through them :(. i’d also like to thank everyone i met through this blog because you’re all such amazing people and you deserve the world. i will leave my writing up but the sentiment still applies- i’ve worked very hard on everything i’ve written so please don’t repost any of it without crediting me, thank you.

i think the direction i wanted this to go in was kind of like a 40′s au? or just a long long time ago. not sure why i had this started seeing as i already have harry as a paperboy in a story of mine but go off ig

2. vampire harry!

i had a specific plot i wanted where harry was in a car wreck because of a vampire who ended up biting him in like an alleyway. reader saves him and is a vampire herself! she nurses him back to health n teaches him how to be a vamp with various shenanigans along the way

3. hospital au?

this one i’m not too sure about but if you’ve seen the red band society you’d sort of know the direction i was going with this. there’s kind of an in-between for people in the hospital who are fighting death or going into surgery and in that in-between is a boy who has been in a coma for a long time. i pictured this as being angsty and for harry to be the boy who guides people in certain directions but he ends up falling for the reader while she’s there

4. ghost au!

self explanatory but i pictured harry as the ghost who kind of just wants a friend lol

5. tea au?

this would probably be pretty short, i just thought it was cute! reader has different kinds of tea all the time and it’s a surprise each time he kisses her 

6. strawberry farm au?

reader has a strawberry farm LMAO maybe harry buys them from her or it’s another vampire au, who knows!

7. threesome

most likely has been done b4 but a threesome w 2 guys and the reader where the guy is inside harry while he is inside the reader

8. chocolate by the 1975

a fic based on that song! it would probably be from harry’s pov 

9. space au?

hmm i think i probably saw something that inspired this but all it says is “harry sends letters to space” so i’m assuming it’s an au where he just decided to send letters to space out of boredom or something and mayhaps alien reader finds one?

harry is an assassin and in my draft it’s super vague? and almost seems like he’s stalking the reader? it could go in any direction really but i’m assuming the reader is dating him and doesn’t know he’s an assassin

very similar to the tea one! just w the reader wearing diff chapsticks all the time

12. shower

this is inspired by something i read on wattpad a long time ago and i’ve tried finding it but i think it might’ve been deleted. the reader flicks da bean all the time in the shower and is really loud about it, harry is distracted and confronts her

13. dang ANOTHER threesome

but this time harry is on a date with a girl and they’re at a bar- the girl is looking around, sees the reader and thinks she’s gorg and they end up having a threesome

14. photography au!

harry is a photographer who somehow ends up taking pictures of the reader. in my draft the reader asks him to delete the ones that are ugly but he keeps them all hehe

15. scrapbook au

similar to the last one, harry takes pictures of the reader a lot but it’s not bc he’s a photographer, he just thinks she’s pretty n wants to scrapbook. twist is that he has TWO scrapbooks- one of innocent pics and one that’s lustier (consensual ofc)

College is so stressful! I couldn't just take acting, no, the other class I had to take was a language and that's so hard. But hey now I can speak a bit spanish

In all honestly college is draining. Maybe it's just the first year. But it's so overwhelming. You always told me that about school Guess now I can feel it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Rember when I told you that writing so many things feel wrong?

Well I figured it out.

I was still in denial.

I didn't want to touch on anything that would make it to clear that you are gone.

It's silly, I know I know.

But acting as if I'm having a very one sided, yearly email exchange is better than realising facts. You are dead. For four years now.

And I, well I couldn't, didn't want to, see it. It's easier to ignore. Ignorance is bliss and all that.

And talking about anything in more detail would make it clear, you are gone. Crazy, right?

I still struggle with college by the way. I feel like I need to always be perfect, but learning a language is so hard, I just want to major in drama.

I also haven't seen Patton or Logan in the last few weeks. The curse of different colleges. I guess that makes it harder too. You know me, I love being with my friends.

I'm a bit scared that they forget me. They nearly never talk about you, so forgetting me isn't to far away, right?

Well.. Let's hope for the best.

I don't know if you ever noticed, probably not, I had the biggest crush on you. How cliché, I know you don't like them, but I do. I planned in my head that picture percent future. I daydreamed about that quiet a lot. Then the call came. Your mother called us to come to the hospital. I did come, so did Logan and Patton, and she told us the doctors are trying to safe you. From yourself, basically. You couldn't do it anymore. And killed yourself. And my daydreams too. But even though you are dead. I know that. The day dreams for what futures we could have had don't leave. From celebrities to farms on the country side.

I know I told you that already, but I miss you. I love you. I'm sorry. I feel like I should have picked up something. I day-dream about being your knight in charming armor because I failed to do it in real life.

I wish I could have helped you.
