A little sketch I did of Katsushi from Turn In Such Humanity by @simkjrs, a very fun founders era fic whose Tobirama is now my headcanon. Yandere! Yokai Harem x Reader (III)

On your travels with the two demon companions, you stumble upon a fortified village plagued by monster attacks. It would be quite unlucky if the grand finale happened just as you step foot inside, right? Worry not, you're saved by a third mysterious yokai that you immediately recognize. The harem grows!

“Alright, how’s this?”

You do a clumsy pirouette before the two yokai men.

“That’s...are you sure?” Kiritsubo eyes you, mildly confused. “It’s usually what men wear.”

Of course, you already know. After weeks of walking through feudal Japan, you’ve reached the conclusion that modern clothing isn’t the most practical choice. Not to mention the strange looks you always get from other people upon your arrival in any village. You needed something to blend in, and the typical fashion for your gender might not be compatible with your training. You’d rather not swing a sword while covered in multiple layers of kimono.

Thus, you opted for the hakama pants typically worn by men. With your hair tied up and in this baggy attire, one could think you’re a young samurai. If they squint enough. You chuckle at the thought.

“She’ll wear whatever allows her to not be a burden.” Murasaki concludes with crossed arms.

One way to put it, you tell yourself.

“If you’re done discussing fashion, we can leave.” The dark-haired man continues with indifference, standing up and adjusting the swords in the folds of his sash.

Both you and Kiritsubo hurry and follow behind obediently.

“Where are we going this time?” You ask sheepishly.

“South-west. An old residence of his, although we will have to pass through a fortified settlement first. We should reach it before sunset.”

It’s hard to imagine you’re the supposed savior in this equation. Murasaki has been leading you by the hand each step, carefully considering every detail on the map, and extensively planning your travels every evening. All this on top of your daily training. You’ve now mastered the basics with the katana he’s provided you, as well as some common prayers for exorcising small-class demons.

You glance at the daisho pair of swords under his belt. A long, thin blade, and a shorter backup version, both in elaborate matching scabbards meant to showcase the status and wealth of the samurai wearing them. In this case, meant to express his rank as the advisor and right hand of the famed onmyōji. You certainly don’t doubt Nakamaro’s decision to rely on Murasaki.

In comparison, Kiritsubo carries a nagamaki at his waist. A comically long blade in your opinion, used mostly to bring down horses during battle. Any regular sword would’ve been too small for him. Despite his imposing appearance, you’ve learned rather quickly just how different Kiritsubo is from the other yokai. He’s quite clumsy in combat, often anxious about making mistakes, terribly apologetic, and overall has a heart too kind for his own good. If there’s hesitation coming from his side, Murasaki immediately follows with his ruthless, ending blows. As a matter of fact, even you’ve had to do the occasional killing to spare the man of such choices.

The silver-haired demon notices your eyes on him and smiles, excited. He reminds you of a large dog. A horned, fanged dog of monstrous strength, nonetheless the innocence is there. And he does make a great travel companion.

���How much longer?” You grunt, looking up.

“Are you tired? I can carry you for the rest of the way-” Kiritsubo instantly offers but is interrupted by Murasaki’s barked orders.

“She can walk. Don’t spoil her.” He glares at you, then nods ahead. “We’re almost there, so quit your whining.”

True to his word, you can finally discern the outline of a wall at the top of the hill. A few more steps, and you can even spot two guards standing beside the great gate.

“Stop there!”

The soldiers lift their spears threateningly. Before you can react, Murasaki steps in front of you with a hand placed on his sword.

“We’re just passing through.” He states factually.

“We’re no longer allowing visitors.” One of the guards exclaims. “The village has been raided by monsters recently and our Lord has closed all gates until the matter is solved.”

“That means no filthy demons go in.” The other adds in a mocking tone, his gaze lingering on the horns of your companions. His mouth curls in disgust.

You can tell Murasaki is angered by the disrespectful approach. He is not one to let such insults slide and you’d rather avoid him claiming unnecessary victims; therefore, you push past his arm and plant yourself ahead with a polite greeting bow.

“These yokai are with me. I vouch for their good behavior, so please consider letting us through. Perhaps we can even help you with these monsters.”

“You? How would you…”

The man stops abruptly, switching between you and the yokai. Eventually he inspects your scabbard, and he gasps, confusion twisting his features.

“Could it be? No…He’d be dead by now.”

“What are you talking about?” His partner inquires impatiently.

“That’s the family seal belonging to Abe no Nakamaro.” He explains, pointing to the golden finish at the end of your katana handle. “I’ve heard about him from my grandparents. But it’s been decades!”

“Don’t be ridiculous. You’re saying this kid is a legendary onmyōji?”

“Who else would show up with demons as servants? Everything matches. Perhaps his powers have finally reached immortality”, he concludes solemnly.

The men continue their argument, and you clear your throat, embarrassed. What the hell? You can’t possibly look that manly. Sure, you’ve been skipping the makeup, and the clothes aren’t exactly curve shaping, but to be mistaken for an old man is like a slap to the face.

You’re about to deny their claims, but Murasaki swiftly pinches the back of your neck, and you wince. He lowers himself to your ear and whispers:

“This will be to our advantage. Just go along with it.” “Fine!” You mumble angrily. Then you turn back to the guards.

“V-very well, I see I haven’t been forgotten.” You admit, theatrically. “Lead me to your Lord and we shall discuss the details of your monster attack.”

Thus, you sip on your tea, kneeling at the luxurious table and awaiting the arrival of the feudal Lord. The servants are exchanging words, gossiping fervently next to the wall. “I wonder if he can cure my daughter!” one woman mumbles, visibly emotional.

“Do you think we can finally be saved? He’ll truly exorcise the beasts tormenting our village?” another whispers.

You wipe the sweat from your forehead and glare at Murasaki. You had no idea he’d given you Nakamaro’s old sword. Now you’re stuck pretending to be a pompous, long-dead asshat.

“What if they catch us?” You hiss between your teeth. “I don’t know shit about onmyōdō.”

“Then I’ll just kill them all. Simple as that.” The crimson-eyed man retorts, unconcerned. “Have a little fun, won’t you?”

“W-we’ll help you come up with answers, (Y/N). Don’t worry.” Kiritsubo chimes in, trying to reassure you.

You sigh in frustration and look out the window. The sun must’ve set a long time ago and has since been replaced by a pitch-black sky. What’s keeping the Lord? Surely, he can’t be having important business meetings late at night.

Almost as if your thoughts were read, the door slides open and a servant wobbles in. The rest of the household workers are silent, expecting the entrance of their master, but no one is following behind. You observe the bizarre limp of the woman. Suddenly, she collapses to the floor, revealing her bloodied back torn by deep wounds, caused by some sort of claw. Her body is stiff.

Panic settles in right away, and the servants topple over each other to get away from the fresh cadaver. You struggle to get up among the terrified crowd, but thankfully Murasaki grabs your wrist and pulls you out into a quieter hallway.

“What the hell?” is all you manage to say.

“Rotten.” Kiritsubo furrows his brows, sniffing the air. “Someone in here must be possessed. Could be more of them.”

Murasaki surveys the surroundings and gestures towards his partner.

“We have to see if the Lord is still alive. You go that way. I’ll take the front. Kill everyone suspicious.”

“What about me?” You demand, holding your breath.

“Get out and wait for us. You know how to draw a protection circle, don’t you? I won’t take long.” The dark-haired yokai answers before vanishing.

Judging by the screams and wails coming from all directions, you suspect Kiritsubo is right about multiple attackers. You sprint across the hall, looking for an opening. The self-defense lessons didn’t cover cursed humans with demonic powers. You’ll stay out of this one.

What an absolute mess. You have encountered some demons in your weeks spent here, but nothing to this degree. When the guards mentioned a monster attack, you imagined a ghost with a grudge, or some small fry yokai scaring the workers at night, not a mass curse that ends in a massacre. Of course, it had to happen the moment you arrived at the main house.

You find a room with a door leading to the inner courtyard. Seems isolated enough and it should provide a bit of shelter while you wait for the pair to finish the business. As you rush past the dead bodies, you notice a woman hiding behind a screen divider.

“Ah! It’s you!” she yells, aware of your presence.

From the shadow of her secret spot emerges the small frame of a child. The woman pushes the little human towards you, blocking your path.

“Don’t worry, he’ll protect us.” she gives her child another nudge. “Go on, hold onto him. You’ll be safe.”

What? No, no, no, no, no. Not happening. You’re getting out.

“Ma’am, sorry to break it to you under such circumstances, but I’m not-”

You’re interrupted by a loud growl. One of the possessed creatures must’ve followed your scent, and it’s now sliding into the room on all fours with the bones of the limbs twisting and creaking in unnatural pounces. You purse your lips in a frightened grimace. One advantage of the wide hakama pants – useful to know – is that no one can see your knees shaking cowardly.

Theoretically, you could use the brat as bait and run for your life. It’d make a decent obstacle. Unfortunately for your life span, you’ve been gifted with an idiotic sense of duty instead of survival instincts.

“Keep your distance. If I can’t kill it, get out and don’t look back” you advise, positioning yourself in the learned stance and sliding the sword out of its sheath.

Damn it! Then again, it should be like fighting a zombie, right? Given the pathetic way it drags itself around, it can’t be too difficult to hit. Aim for the head, you repeat in your mind. Your fingers grip around the handle.

The ghoulish beast lowers itself, like a spring about to recoil, and leaps across the room with an ease you did not anticipate. Despite your iron hold, it slaps the blade out of your hands with enormous force. The impact breaks your skin, and you wince. There’s no time to weep, within seconds it could go for your vitals next. While Murasaki hasn’t gotten around to teaching you much hand-to-hand combat, you’ve read your fair share of shounen manga. The first idea that comes to mind is to put the beast in a sumo lock. You bend your knees smoothly and wrap your arms around the monster, feeling for something to hold onto. You grit your teeth and attempt to lift the creature.

A thundering laugh resonates within the walls, and you jolt, startled.

“I never thought I’d see the mighty Abe no Nakamaro wrestling with ankle biters like this. What are you going to do, throw it out of the ring?”

The voice is deep, loud, and unfamiliar. You can’t afford to look back to see the source, but it’s not hard to figure out the possibilities. So far, you’ve only been called by that cursed name by the yokai accomplices. Although now is not the best time to seek revenge.

“Shut up, I panicked”, you snap in frustration. “If you can’t help, keep that trap closed!”

The sudden burst of anger seems to have triggered something within your body, a power you don’t recognize. You watch as your arms effortlessly pick up the monster and swing it across the room, its body demolishing the opposing wall and causing thick clouds of dust to rise and spread everywhere.

The impact must’ve alerted the nearby ghouls, as you can now hear the agitated trample and screeching rapidly approaching. You’re not confident you can pull the same lucky move a second time.

You turn to search for your sword, but it’s already being handed to you by the mysterious yokai who’s been observing your little fight. You have to step aside and tilt your head all the way back in order to fully view the gigantic frame of the man.

Ah, you recognize the features immediately. The same kind of fear you felt when you stumbled upon that old shrine statue is now tugging at your chest.

“You’re Suma, right?”

A proud, wide grin forms on his face, revealing a pair of glistening fangs. His expression is unexpectedly soft and friendly.

“We’re halfway through our introductions then, eh?” You pick up the sword and his fingers stretch out for a handshake. “What is your given name? I’m guessing you don’t willingly go by that…title.”

“I very much prefer (Y/N), yes.” You marvel at the significant difference in size, placing your small hand in his. “Was that your power I just used?”

“Mhhm. You sure surprised me there! It’s not something I did intentionally, but I s’ppose we just resonate that well, huh?”

He laughs again, completely unbothered by the impending danger.

“Alright, you can leave the rest to me. Take the lady outside, it will get a little messy.”

And with that, he casually walks towards the gathering of ghouls. You guide the family to the courtyard and wait for the battle to end.

“Do you think she’ll be fine by herself?” Kiritsubo is resting against the fence, keeping you under a watchful gaze.

“Let the humans sort it out among themselves.” Murasaki responds, somewhat bored.

The morning after the attack, you offered to deal with the survivors: ask them how everything started, if they’d noticed anything suspicious days prior to the event, and if the route to Nakamaro’s old residence was still open. The yokai men had found the feudal Lord in the jaws of a possessed creature and he quickly succumbed to his wounds. Consequently, only the remaining servants could provide them with clues.

A village being targeted like this is highly unusual, and Murasaki can’t shake the feeling it could be related to their master.

“Oh, where are you heading after this?” The silver-haired yokai glances at Suma, sitting lazily next to them.

“Where? After you just told me the whole story? I’m way too invested in this modern reincarnation that just popped out of nowhere, so I’m tagging along!” He announces with a chuckle.

Murasaki frowns.

“We don’t need your help.”

“Don’t be like that.” The giant man pouts dramatically. “Are you upset I saved (Y/N) before you?”

“W-we were on our way!” Kiritsubo retorts, visibly bothered.

“It’s a done deal!” Suma rests his hands under his head and yawns. “Besides, the little human already said he doesn’t mind.”

“He? (Y/N) is a woman.”

The redhead abruptly sits up and gasps.  

“Wait, what?”

“Don’t get funny ideas, man”, the silver-haired demon warns.

Species: Half demon and Bakeneko yokai

Important Relationships: Mikitamo (Miko) Suzuki (twin brother), Michio Suzuki (older brother), Haruki Suzuki (uncle), Giyuu Tomioka (adoptive father), Tanjiro Kamado (best friend/boyfriend depending on what universe it is)

Occupation: Demon Slayer (3 years)

Rank: Hashira (2 and 1/2 years)

Breathing Style: Starlight breathing

Backstory: The Suzuki siblings’ parents were killed by Douma 2 years after the twins, Miki and Miko, were born. They were members of his cult and he found their mother to be very beautiful. He killed her first, not knowing that Miki was watching. She quickly alerted her father, resulting in her father’s death as well. Michio ran away with his 2 year old siblings to their Uncle Haruki’s home. Haruki took them in with open arms, but a year later a low rank demon killed his wife when she was protecting the children. After this, Haruki became very abusive towards them since he blamed them for the death of his wife. Michio tried to protect his younger siblings, but he was almost never able to. Michio, Miko, and Miki discovered the existence of demon slayers after one came to protect them from Haruki after he was turned into a demon. The slayer brought the kids (Michio was 13 while Miki and Miko were 10) to the demon slayer headquarters. The Master talked with them and decided to allow them to train under the hashira so that, they too, could become demon slayers. Miki and Miko trained under Giyuu Tomioka, the water hashira, and MIchio trained under Kyojuro Rengoku, the flame Hashira. After training for a year, the siblings went to the final selection and passed easily. 6 months later, Miki crossed paths with Douma. Recognizing him as the one who killed her parents, she quickly killed him. Miko and Michio were very happy when she killed Douma. They were surprised to find out that she could now be a hashira. Miko and Michio became hashira as well around 6-7ish months after Miki did.

Quotes: “Just because you were there to see someone you care about be killed, doesn’t mean you could’ve done anything to prevent it. You just have to carry on and protect the people you still have.” -Miko Suzuki

“Family is the most important thing. I’ll do anything to make sure my family is safe.” -Michio Suzuki

“If I could, I would go back and save mother and father, but I was too young to understand what was happening… All I can do now is stay strong for the ones I love.” -Miki Suzuki

Fun facts (Miki):

When Miki saw Douma for the first time in 9 years, she was immediately filled with pain and rage as the memories of seeing her parents eaten by him filled her mind.

Miki’s favorite food is chicken udon since Michio used to make it for her and Miko, eventually teaching them how to make it too!

Miki wears a mask because she’s insecure. It helps her feel more confident and happy!

Miki loves doing crafty things like sowing, pottery, painting, and drawing.

Miki is often underestimated because of her small size and her age, but she doesn’t let that stop her!

Miki uses the breathing style that was passed down through the Suzuki family for generations: starlight breathing.

Fun facts (Miko):

Miko will often get angry anytime he sees someone mistreated, and he’ll do everything in his power to stop it.

Miko gives Miki piggyback rides when she’s tired or injured (this goes both ways, they’ll even do this for Michio!)

Miko and Michio often go into full protective brother mode anytime Miki gets hurt or upset since “no one hurts their little sister and gets away with it”

The only ones in the demon slayer corp that know about their background, are the Master and Kyojuro and Giyuu.

Miko loves helping his brother and sister with anything no matter what!

Miko created his breathing style, constellation breathing, from starlight breathing.

Fun facts (Michio):

Michio may seem super serious, but he’s actually a huge softy! Especially when it comes to his younger siblings!

Michio is always encouraging Miki and Miko to do things they love. Training is important, but so is mental health!

When training, Michio will often go to the sakura orchard behind Miki’s estate.

Michio lets Miki braid his hair sometimes since it’s so long.

Michio only shows his sillier side around his siblings, Kyojuro, and Mitsuri.

Michio created his breathing style, supernova breathing, from starlight breathing.

Fanfic idea- Supernatural Atsushi AU part 3

Also warning this is probably the longest ramble I have done yet.

Prompt: Atsushi is a tiger yokai that had been sealed into a tree and now is in a kind of weird love triangle with two of the port mafia’s most dangerous executives. 

Actual idea- 

I fell like a quick recap is in order but Atsushi is a tiger yokai who fell in love with an Oni, they lived a rather happy and peaceful life until some cowardly yokai decided to get rid of Atsushi so he wouldn’t have Arahbahki get revenge for their cruelty to the tiger. 

This plan back fires big time so that while Atsushi was sealed into a tree in a near death state his lover went mad with rage and basically obliterated the yokai population before dying himself. 

This gave humans the chance to become the ruling species and due to the influx of magic thanks to all the dead yokai, some humans started to gain abilities.

Later on Atsushi was accidentally unsealed from the tree by port mafia executive “demon prodigy” Osamu Dazai. 

Feeling a mixture of joy and gratitude to the human who unsealed him from his hell Atsushi wants to repay Dazai by offering both himself and his abilities for the human to use however he wishes. 

Granted the only thing is that Atsushi refuses to do is kill Dazai or let him die, which is very annoying for Dazai since his hobby is suicide. 

(Extra note but as an effect of being sealed for so long Atsushi’s lack of magic essentially makes him a ghost unless he puts in effort to keep his body stable. Doing things like healing, transforming, and regeneration takes energy that he regains via sleeping. Though the exceptions to the ghost thing are specific ability users like Dazai and Chuuya.)

Dazai keeps getting annoyed at Atsushi and Atsushi starts to learn how much of how his savior isn’t really a good man. 

It all comes to a point where Dazai complains about another failed attempt thanks to Atsushi, Atsushi kinda loses it for a second. 

When they return home to the shipping container and Atsushi pins Dazai down to the bed.

His usually vibrant gold and violet eyes look cold and lifeless as the tiger leans down close enough to Dazai’s face that he can feel his warm breath against his lips.

Atsushi: “Do you really want to die so badly, Dazai-san? I grant you death, make it quick and painless just as you desire.”

Dazai smirks and tries to move his arms but Atsushi’s grip is iron.

Dazai: “Ohh~ Not gunna lie that sounds very tempting Atsushi-kun~”

I can imagine Atsushi’s lips trembling slightly as he leans down and puts a clawed hand agains Dazai’s neck, letting his nails scrape against his skin drawing the a few drops of blood.

And Dazai shivers at the feeling when Atsushi leans to whisper into his ear.

Atsushi: “I understand that need, that desire to let everything fall away so you can feel peace. I wished for it too while I was sealed away. But I have a condition.” 

I can imagine Atsushi leaning down to lick away the blood, healing the wound in the process and Dazai swallows looking down at his little tiger. 

Dazai: “And what’s that condition kitten?”  

Dazai’s whispers and shivers at the responding kiss to his neck before Atsushi moves up to place another kiss on Dazai’s cheek.  The tiger now has his entire weight on Dazai, but curls up so his head is right above the human’s heart, listening to his fast thump thump thump.

Atsushi: “All I want is more time. For so long I was alone, trapped in my own mind with nothing but darkness. It was horrible, a hell that I thought I would never be able to escape. But you saved me.” 

I can imagine Atsushi looking up at Dazai with tired eyes and a sad smile, and Dazai he doesn’t want to see his tiger so broken.

Atsushi: “I-I’ll give you everything. My loyalty, my body, my ability. Everything, just please please wait. You brought me back into this world of light. Don’t abandon me when just being around you makes me want to live again.”

Atsushi cuddles in closer and Dazai can feel the wetness against his shirt. 

He sighs before wrapping his arms around the broken thing resting against him.

Dazai: “Your really not playing fair Atsushi-kun being so greedy~ But fine, I’ll wait.”

Atsushi looks up to him the spark in his eyes returning again as he smiles

Atsushi: “Thank you”

Dazai: “Yes yes, you can thank me later. Now can you please get off? As….exciting as this has been I still prefer women.”

Dazai blushes slightly as Atsushi’s just smiles at him before placing another chaste kiss at the corner of his mouth and snuggling more into his chest.

(And yes Dazai did think Atsushi pinning him down and licking his blood was sexy as hell. This is where he begins to question his sexuality because of his sexy tiger boy.)

Over time both Atsushi and Dazai grow closer as their lives become more domestic.

He’s amused by Dazai’s childish antics.

Exasperated when the man pushes his paperwork onto him (steep learning curve given that Dazai had to teach him how to do said paperwork).

And he want to bite him whenever the man flirts with a random women in front of him.

(He does end up nipping Dazai a few times and refusing to heal him no matter how much the human complains about it. Which is a bluff Dazai learns that he does have a biting kink lol.)

He knows that Dazai can be cruel and calculating, he knows that his human probably doesn’t really care about him. That he is just using him for his abilities and the fact that Atsushi will attack anyone that harms him.

It hurts a little but Atsushi accepts this.

He finds himself loving his Dazai, faults and all and even if his feelings are unrequited he is content. 

He starts to find peace in this new life, he still mourns the loss of his old life and love but is also finding happiness in his new routines with the mafioso. 

But then Dazai gets assigned a mission by his “boss”, and Dazai brings him along and complains all about a “slug”.

Atsushi is amused, walking along side Dazai invisibly smiling while listening to his silly human rant about his co-worker. 

It’s cute and makes Atsushi curious about who could’ve made his usually calm and composed human so irate. 

He stifles a giggle as Dazai starts talking about how he shouldn’t get too close to the “slug”.

How he is too good and that the slug shouldn’t be able to see his adorable kitten. 

Atsushi can feel himself blush at the smile that Dazai directed at him.  

Even if Dazai was just teasing him he couldn’t help but feel his heart beat faster at his beloved human’s claim.

They continue to talk about the details of the mission and how as per usual Atsushi shouldn’t reveal himself unless absolutely necessary.

It’s simple, normal for the two of them, a conversation that they’ve had many times. 

But then they turn around the corner and Atsushi stops frozen in his tracks as his entire world comes crashing down.

He see’s a familiar figure. 

The short stature, long orange hair, a beautiful face with dark blue eyes that matched the deepest of oceans. 

The presence of a man that has power and he knows it. 

Then the man turns to face them and Atsushi’s heart races cause he knows that smirk. 

He’s seen it a million times on a man who made him promises laced with love, safety, and a life together that never came to pass. 

A life that while sealed in that tree he thought was nothing but wishful thinking instead of memory

He doesn’t notice when he starts to run.

He doesn’t hear Dazai startled yell.

He doesn’t notice that the man actually see’s him even and looks just as shocked as him.

All he can feel is the magic running through his veins, giving all of his energy into making him as corporeal as possible because he needs to know. 

He needs to make sure the man isn’t an illusion.

And as he crashes into the man’s chest he feels that familiar warmth, the power once used to crush enemies so long ago surrounds him but he doesn’t feel heavy.

It’s not malicious, its welcoming, as if embracing him back.

It’s comforting in its familiarity and Atsushi can’t help but smile as tears start to spill from his eyes. 

A new warmth filling his heart as a joy rivaling when he was released from his seal.

And he snuggles closer to the stiff body underneath him, clutching onto the man like his life depends on it.

He can hear a strong heart beat and he smiles knowing that this is real.

Smell the familiar scent of flames and storms underneath the atrocious “cologne” that modern humans use. 

He is real. 

His beloved..

He smiles wide as he whispers 

Atsushi: “Arahbahki~”

He feels the man stiffen further but still doesn’t move away but instead moves closer brushing his lips against his beloved’s neck as more tears roll down his cheeks. 

Atsushi: “My dear Anata. My beloved Oni, you live. You live! My Anata! My dear love you live!” 

He’s shaking as tears start to turn to full on sobs, he can feel his grip tightening and feels his Anata flinch. But pays to mind to that as joy and pain start to mix into his chest.

Atsushi: “I’m so sorry love. I-i should have b-been stronger. T-th-they tr-ticked me. I -I was so stupid s-so so scared. I-i called! I called for you! I-i thought- hic -I wouldn’t- hic. Oh Anata!” 

He wants to feel his Anata hug him back, to hear his voice call him his beautiful Byakko once more, to have his love kiss his tears away like so long ago.

But it doesn’t happen. 

Instead he feels his Anata push against him, he looks up confused and lets out a broken whine when he doesn’t see his beloved’s usual warm playful look. 

Instead he see’s suspicion, even outright hostility.  

Cold eyes devoid of the love he so desparately craved for centuries showed no recognition.

And Atsushi could feel his heart break all over again.

Familiar arms wrap behind him and he starts to struggle, to cling onto his beloved. 

“Why’s he glaring at me? Does he hate me? Anata I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m sorry! Please don’t hate me!”

He gives a broken cry when he is finally pulled off and is ready to claw at the interrupter until he hears a  Dazai’s cold voice.

Dazai: “Slug I’m gonna need you to give me a moment.” 

He watches as his love just stand up and dusts himself off looking before glaring at Dazai. 

Chuuya: “Fine, but your gonna explain what the hell is going on!”

He feels he feels a whine build in his throat when his Anata doesn’t even look at him and then lets out a pitiful broken noise when he feels Dazai turn him around and start walking away from his beloved. 

Dazai: “Oh my poor kitten, you really do have the worst luck.”

And Atsushi can only whine, even though he feels Dazai’s arms around him his heart break still breaks as the distance between him and his Anata grows once more.

After this incident we begin the DazAtsuYa!

Essentially Dazai takes Atsushi a little bit away and gives the bare basics of Chuuya’s back story to him.

How Chuuya was an expriement and is 100% human and that what he senses as “Arahbahki” is just a non-sentient power.

His love isn’t back, it’s just Chuuya. A human that has Arahbahki’s power sealed within him and nothing more.

This of course horrifies Atsushi on a lot of ways. 

The idea that humans could do that to their own.

How he can now “see” his beloved but it’s only a body similar to him, the person “Chuuya-san” is a complete stranger. 

And Atsushi just is so broken after this, because he was starting to heal. 

After being sealed away for centuries waiting for someone to release him and then seeing how long he was sealed away he accepted that Arahbahki had died. 

But now he learns that some part of his beloved is still alive just sealed away?

No thoughts, no memories, just pure rage and destruction?

It devastates him. 

So Atsushi after learning all this information assumedly while Dazai is still holding him slumps before changing his form again. 

He doesn’t want to be human, he doesn’t want to be seen, he’s too tired and too hurt to keep it up.

So he shrink’s down, shrinks, and shrinks until he’s nothing more than a tiger the size of a small cat clinging onto Dazai in his grief. 

And Dazai sighs holding his kitten closer, petting him, and telling him that he has him.

That he won’t let Atsushi go.

But moving on after that Dazai still has a job with Chuuya and he can’t just leave because of Atsushi.

So with a sigh to himself he holds a vulnerable Atsushi close to his chest making sure to cover his little ghost tiger in his jacket. Not wanting Chuuya to see him nor for Atsushi to see the slug.

And he sighs because he’s feeling so much right now.

He’s worried for his usually optimistic tiger.

Atsushi always held such joy and curiosity in the world as soon as he was unsealed, even when he told Atsushi that Yokai are nothing but legends he didn’t have such a reaction. 

Sure there was grief but also an acceptance, a gratefulness for life that Dazai couldn’t help but be jealous of. 

But now Atsushi’s eyes seem just as lifeless as his own, and its all because of that damn slug!

And that is another thing!

Apparently “Arahbahki” wasn’t always just a bunch of energy, “it” was once an extremely powerful Oni Yokai that was also apparently married to Atsushi.

Seriously! The slug has to look exactly like Atsushi’s long dead husband!

And now he has to explain what’s going on to that Slug even though he really really doesn’t want to.

He wanted to keep Atsushi’s existence a secret in the first place but now that plan has went to shit and his fierce tiger has become a depressed little kitten. 

But Dazai just sighs holding Atsushi closer when he gives another whimper feeling the tigers dig ever so slightly into his shirt. 

*”Let’s just get this over with.”*

Meanwhile Chuuya is so confused when Dazai comes back. 

He was suddenly attacked by some random cosplayer who kept on calling him “Anata” and was crying nonsense to him. 

But what shocked him was that even though he commanded his ability to go around the guy his gravity didn’t change. 

His usual perfect control seemed to be lost as soon as the guy touched him. 

And when Dazai got the guy off of him he didn’t fail to notice that the moving ears and tail didn’t go anywhere either.

Was this guy also immune to Dazai’s ability? Did his ability just mess with other abilities? No, Dazai’s ability is absolute. Then what the hell?!

Then when Dazai (who looks incredibly pissed off) comes back not with the guy but instead of a little tiger cub everything gets worse. 

Dazai must have finally went mad.

Cause what do you mean he unsealed the last Yokai spirit? 

What do you mean he’s been sealed away for centuries?

What do you mean the tiger swore his loyalty and life to you to repay that debt!

And what the fuck do you mean he was married to Arahbahki and is depressed cause I look like his dead husband! 

Just the FUCK!

Dazai and Chuuya still get the job done of course. 

Atsushi briefly transforms into a giant tiger to protect Dazai.

And Chuuya is in awe because crap that is a magical fucking tiger!

The cosplayer is actually a real magical fucking tiger and Dazai wasn’t just messing with him.

…..oh shit Dazai wasn’t messing with him. 

And Dazai just watches all these emotions cross Chuuya’s face while seeing how twitchy his fingers are while looking at Atsushi. 

And he smirks pulling his sad little tiger closer to his chest. 

Dazai: What’s the matter slug? Jealous?~

 And for a moment Chuuya has the intense urge to punch Dazai in the face and grab the cat.

But instead he flips him off. 

Chuuya: Screw you, you suicidal bastard. I just feel bad for the cat you somehow tricked into liking you.

And Dazai snorts and makes a joke at Chuuya’s expense to try and cheer Atsushi up, but he end up frowning cause Atsushi doesn’t act exasperated with antics as usual.

Just his little kitten snuggling closer into his neck, like he’s trying to hide from the world.

After the mission is a rough couple weeks.

Once Dazai returns home Atsushi essentially escaped under their bed, stays in tiger cub form, and essentially acts like a depressed cat. 

And Dazai tries take care of Atsushi because he doesn’t know how to comfort him. 

He brings him his favorite food. 

Gets more pillows and blankets to make him comfortable. 

Holds him and shows him pictures of places all around the world to spark that childish wonder again.

He just wants Atsushi to smile again. To walk with him, playfully nip at him, and scold him for not being careful And I just imagine Dazai just petting Atsushi while reminding him of Atsushi’s promise. That Atsushi promised him his “everything”. 

That all Dazai wants right now is to see his Tiger smile again. And maybe that little talk mixed with everything else encourages Atsushi to eat that Chazuke. ——————————————————————————— Meanwhile Chuuya actually starts to dream which freaks him the F out since he’s never had dreams before. 

And they all relates back to the tiger  (who he learns through the dreams is named “Atsushi”)

It’s so weird because he see’s a younger, thinner, and more snappy version of Atsushi wearing nothing but a thin raggedy kimono. 

He see’s the tiger come to him and try to stay by his side even when his “dream” self was an ass. 

Sometimes they eat together, joke together, laugh, and cry together. 

It’s like seeing a life time happen right before his eyes. 

He see’s himself taking Atsushi’s hand, kissing it, and watching the tiger blush.

He see’s how Atsushi would hold heal  him and then smile at him so happily before curling up to his side to snuggle up to him. 

He see’s himself taking a kiss from the tiger and how his gorgeous twighlight eyes widen in surprise before returning the kiss just as hard. 

Chuuya even has a particular dream of holding Atsushi in his arms and well lets just things get a bit *spicy*~ 

They would talk of love, of marriage, of having a family together, of Atsushi carrying a child. 

His child. 

Chuuya can admit these dreams were rather embarrassing though it did make him curious about the tiger in Dazai’s possession.

But he refrained, the tiger was already freaked out by seeing him, didn’t want to traumatize the guy even more if this wasn’t just his messed up brain imagining things cause he finds the tiger attractive.

(Side note there are a lot of sexy dreams lol)

And then the nightmare happens. 

A nightmare where he can’t find his *”beautiful Byakko”*

 He see’s himself searching, yelling out for him, and then panicking cause he can’t find him!

Why can’t he find him?

Where is he?!?

And he finds the trail and follows it.

He finds torn bloody cloth from Atsushi’s favorite kimono.

And as he goes further he finds a tree splattered with too much blood and a sickening feeling in his gut.

Because he knows his beloved is gone. 

He’s gone…

He’s gone and someone hurt him!

Someone killed his beloved!

His sweet, kind, and beautiful Byakko.

 His adorable tiger who hated fighting and killing, who would rather heal and gather herbs to impress him with. 

His beloved Atsushi who would hold him in his arms and against his chest without fear of the “monster amongst monster” ripping his heart out.

Who was the first person to give him words of love and acceptance. 

His wife, the man he had planned to spend the rest of his life with protecting and providing for, the one who was going to bear his child, is dead. 

Probably died terrified, alone, calling for him in hopes of rescue. 

All in vain. 

*“He’s sorry, oh dear beloved nonono, I should have protected you. Why wasn’t I there! How could I fail you! Who the FUCK did this to you! I’LL KILLE’M KILL’EM KILL KILL KILL!”*

Chuuya has felt pain before but nothing so intense as that all encompassing as the SORROW and HATERED that made his insides burn.

Then he wakes up and Chuuya feels like he’s going mad because this isn’t him! 

These aren’t his memories or his feelings! 

And he only has one way to get his answers and move on from all of these horrible feelings and memories. 

So in Chuuya like fashion rips the doors off of Dazai shipping container to find the bastard petting the tiger cub underneath the bed. 

Of course Dazai complains about this but Chuuya just continues on his way. 

Chuuya rolls his eyes Chuuya: Oh please you probably have a million other backup places just as shitty as this one.

 He then makes his way past Dazai and gets on the floor to see a sufficiently spooked tiny tiger underneath the bed.

 I could imagine his eye softening as he tries to speak gently.

 Chuuya: Alright so…I need to talk to you about a lot of things right now. So I would really appreciate it if you could come out Atsushi.

 And I could imagine both Dazai’s and Atsushi’s eyes widening. Because Dazai never told Chuuya Atsushi’s name.

After this I can imagine Atsushi reluctantly agree’s to talk but keeps himself behind Dazai because looking at Chuuya right now is just way too painful.

He explains his story. About how “Byakko” or a white tiger yokai were hated and hunted because they were healers and their bodies could be used for potent medicines. 

How he met Arahbahki and fell in love. 

How they had planned to have a child but it required him to store a lot of energy to change his form so it could have the baby.

How because of that when the other yokai tricked him he couldn’t truly defend himself. 

How he was sealed away until Dazai came into the picture. 

And Dazai and Chuuya are kinda horrified by how painful Atsushi’s story is. 

But Atsushi just smiles bitterly and shakes his head because there is nothing he can do and how talking about it helped with the grief somewhat. 

(After hearing all this Chuuya doesn’t ask more about the dreams since he doesn’t want to hurt the tiger even more)

From there on Atsushi leans against Dazai before apologizing to Chuuya, for treating him like someone else. That if possibly he would like to become friends and if that is too much then at least get along since Dazai and Chuuya are work partners. 

You know just being sweet. 

And Chuuya, well Chuuya is sufficiently charmed by this sweet little tiger and Dazai starts getting jealous. 

Because like hell is he letting the slug steal his tiger!

The rest of the story would be about Atsushi and Chuuya slowly befriending each other.

(Granted Chuuya is constantly fighting the urge to kiss, hug, and even bite the tiger amongst other things lol) 

And a part of Atsushi does fall in love with Chuuya as well but denies himself because he promised his all to Dazai

Meanwhile Dazai gets closer of their budding relationship and constantly tries to separate them as much as possible. 

It all comes to ahead when Dazai and Chuuya get sent to a mission where “Corruption would have to be used. 

Dazai specifically told Atsushi he wasn’t allowed to join but still does anyways because he doesn’t want to see his two precious people hurt. 

Then he see’s Chuuya’s corrupted form and moves without a second of hesitation.

I can imagine Atsushi running towards a corrupted Chuuya who is screaming in pain and rage.

 Of Dazai trying to stop him because he doesn't want the gravitons to destroy his tiger. 

But then Atsushi embraces Chuuya, and this corrupted Chuuya doesn't move away. Still out of his mind Atsushi lifts Chuuya's face and those pupiless eyes are crying as if something deep inside of Chuuya's corrupted state recognizes the tiger.

 And Atsushi smiles gently cupping Chuuya's cheek in his hand, he's crying but his expression is so full of love and sadness. And Chuuya, still in his corrupted state, hugs Atsushi for dear life bites him in the neck which hurts but thats fine to Atsushi. It’s familiar and in a way comforting and Atsushi cradles him while using his power to heal Chuuya's body. 

In the end Atsushi is just holding a peacfully sleeping Chuuya while Dazai is left flabbergasted about what he had just witnessed.

Dazai and Chuuya still get jealous of each other and of course fuck up trying to force Atsushi to choose.

Chuuya wants him but Atsushi is adamant on not betraying Dazai.

And Dazai says some particular horrible things about “never should’ve released you in the first place if I knew you were going to be so much trouble.” 

(Which he regrets immediately after seeing how heartbroken Atsushi looks before running away from him. )

It all ends up with Dazai and Chuuya compromising because they love Atsushi and don’t want him to constantly feel miserable because of their feelings for him. 

Atsushi is their tiger, and they are his humans~

AAAAA NO WORRIES THIS IS LITERALLY ME WHEN PPL ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT MY BRAIN BLORBOS;

1) yes, yes he does

2) He’s pretty used to it! both sides of his family are pretty different from him, the Cuddles’ being almost completely inorganic & his family in Japan being yokai. He doesn’t really feel it actively so much as it’s led him to think of himself as, *waving hands around face* different. For a few reasons, but it’s no more of an issue for him round the turtles than it usually is :D

3) He’s lucky enough to not have had serious injuries, his organs are pretty well protected by flexible metal! The most danger he’s been in is when he had to run away from a family gathering blind into a forest. (When he cries, water can get too deep in his eyes, & since they’re cameras they short out and go offline.)

But basically, it’s really hard to kill or injure him cause he’s kinda like if an octopus had metal protecting its organs lmao

4) He is absolutely not, since he can stitch limbs back on & sew himself up like nothing, Miyamoto has to constantly remind him to be more careful haha. (Since he’d be a yokai in Rise, his ghost lives in the Ki-stone; the Usagi family uses it as an artifact similar to the scrolls Splinter shredded in S1)

He has a few nicknames but they aren’t really used regularly; Jersey Jack, Raggedy Ichi, Cottontail, Skewer-Me-Elmo, mostly one liners like those haha. but Miyamoto calls him Ume-chan (lil plum) pretty regularly hahaha

& unfortunately yes, he is quite familiar with mrs cuddles ( ´△｀)

5) Yeah! Draxum’s seen him around cause he hangs out with his kids, Big Mama hasn’t really taken much notice cause he hasn’t done anything yet, & hueso knows him as “the guy who always orders motor oil to go with his breadsticks.” ksjfjaksjskjs

6) When they met, Raph was scared shitless for a solid few seconds, Don was like “hahaha you terrify my brother haha, who are you.”

Mikey, same as Cassandra & Magicsaurus, chilled out quickly & was excited to meet a new person & have a fun time with a new friend.

Leo was like “lmao, you from Jersey?” & Yuichi said “Yeah lmao,” & Leo was like “no wayyyy, surely you are evil and crazy/hj” and he proceeded to be completely biased towards Yuichi’s “jerseylike behavior.” (Yuichi in reality was just reminding Leo of all the things he dislikes about himself cause they’re so similar. Once he realizes this, their rivalry becomes a lot more jokey like Teru and Mob from mp100 & they grow closer)

Splinter did not really mind his presence either way, just some kid, friend of his kids, in his house.

Yuichi reacted in a very boisterous & unserious way in response to their interest & hesitation. & when he found out they were attacked by his aunt he was very apologetic haha, he got them a fruit basket that said “Sorry my estranged aunt attacked your home, the rest of my family dislikes her too, have some fruit, so sorry.”

7) After Leo & Yuichi grow close, Leo begins to see him as a person he wants to stay close to. He thinks he’s impulsive, arrogant, but he also sees how he affects others and how they feel very easily. And he can talk a LOT. Note how in the show, Leo goes silent when he runs out of ideas, he’s incredibly stressed, & his family isn’t taking notice of him. As opposed to his family who he always feels the need to talk around to “cope,” Yuichi is the guy he trusts enough to let the mask slip and go quiet when he runs out of mana.

They get each other ( ＾∀＾)

I am putting this thought here cause I think a lot about the Kraang and it is sad to see that the Rottmnt community reduced them to nothing more than set pieces or a hivemind (when they're clearly not)

I want to delve into Kraang3's abilities and how they differ from his elder siblings. so let's focus on the most DANGEROUS one out of the trio

Before I continue I do want to emphasise this point cause i cannot stress this enough, the Kraang themselves are NOT a hivemind. 1 & 2 throughout the movie have many instances of being individualistic, acting upon their own desires- the slight expectation being 3, who is obedient and restrained.

Does this mean 3 is not his own character? nope- he's still his own individual. Kraang3 is a loyal soldier awaiting commands from his Eldest brother 1 but with this being said, he's still capable of acting upon his own volition if the situation calls for it. (I.e protecting the key from Leo, then later on his confrontation with Donnie & mikey within the technodrome. )

"But Brew! How does this tie into Kraang3's abilities?"

You might be wondering. Well, my dear reader- it actually does, in some way. Now that I established that the Kraang themselves are NOT a hivemind. Kraang3 on the other hand, is capable of making them but out of other species.

The Kraang are (while not in a traditional sense) a parasitic-like race. They come to other planets for the pure purpose to conquer... to consume.. to mould the inhabitants into their ideal image.

Anything caught within it is assimilated and turned into a mindless drone. However, there is a slight flaw within 3's biomass. Which is the effects heavily vary upon the individual. Some are mutated beyond recognition- while in other instances- it merely clings itself onto the victim's flesh, invading their minds. The changes heavily vary from person to person. We don't know how far his hivemind can go- but his drones are capable of taking commands from his elder siblings at least. (side note: Biomass contains empyrean, the source of yokai and mutants.)

now, What kind of hivemind does 3Kraang create? The answer is kinda unclear. In some instances where YES, both the biomass and the drones act as an 'extension' of himself but in other moments, they're like worker bees protecting their queenbee. (the queenbee in this case, being the actual kraang, not just 3)

3's biomass can also possess machinery, creating unholy and terrifying abominations against nature. With machines- there is no will to conquer. Furthermore, 3's biomass once it reaches a certain point, can drain energy from an entire fucking city and redirect it into a MASSIVE portal into the sky.

ALL of that- is 3's doing. His siblings are incapable of doing this and are aware of it.

So before I get into that- just what the 1 & 2 abilities are? Allow me to break it down into a simpler list. we know that

Both Kraang 1 & 2 have some Shapeshifting properties. While they are not capable of changing their forms entirely, they can at least shift parts of their anatomy. This aids them in combat outside of their suits (I.e extending their limbs or shifting the density of their flesh)

Krang 1 can peer into his victim's mind. This can only be done physically and through his tendrils. It allows him to dig through their memories and gather intel. The process is evidently painful for the victim causing them to pass out upon kraang 1 retraction. (not canon however, it is worth noting that within a deleted scene. Kraang 1 instead forged a false dream in Raph's mind in which Raph "escaped" and ran back home. This was how the kraang were going to discover Tmnt's home initially)

Kraang1 can block mystic powers. Using his frills- Kraang1 can make a specific soundwave that blocks out his enemy's powers- forcing his opponent to face him and rely on their physical prowess rather than "tricks"

Both Kraang 1 & 2 are highly durable. They had buildings, wrecking balls, fucking 'acid'- thrown at them and while the experience is indeed painful, They manage. They quickly recover from that experience and press forward. They're relentless.

3's siblings never showed any signs of the same powers as he does.

Kraang1 knows this.

Throughout the entire movie. He is seen accompanying 3 the whole time, safely guarding his little brother and dictating his every move along the way. 1 knows how important 3 is to their future empire because neither he nor his sister, have what 3 has. It was not just the Technodrome they needed- it was also 3.

So even when the Technodrome was destroyed. it wasn't just the ship he was pissed about. he was also pissed about his little brother possibly perishing. 3 was IMPORTANT to their conquest, without him, They wouldn't be able to finish what they started all those centuries ago. 3's powers are crucial for their empire.

"you ruined everything!"

1 truly meant it when he said that. He admitted to defeat but retracted that statement with "You think you've won, you wretched little pest." - To sum up this moment, The dude is seething. He is coping that some teenagers outwitted him and killed his little brother, putting a cork in HIS plans. Even with the knowledge that his sister is alive back on earth. There won't be any way for her to 'reclaim' earth- since the two most essential things have been blown up to smithereens.

To conclude this weird tangent.

While Kraang1 is the eldest sibling/the leader. Kraang3 is the more dangerous one because of how he unique abilities. Without him, things would turn out very differently

Some notes before beginning.

I made a 3 days poll last week where you could vote for the imaginary scenarios i had on VROH you like the most, because i felt the need to yap about them. And now i am telling you about it. This post that was supposed to be done on friday (but shits always happen to me). This is also the 2nd time i try to write this.

This story was elected the favorite out of 16 voters, thanks to them <3.

At the end of this post, i will do another poll for the remaining imaginary plots, you will have 3 days too to chose.

These are not canon of course, this is also not fanfictions because i can't write and english is not my primary language. However, i will try to give structures to these, let me know if you enjoyed 🫶

Summary :

If Unmei was ever asked why he had moved to Kyushu so fast last minute, he would probably reply a vague answer about his heart condition. But isn't he rather running from something ? Unmei is a peculiar boy, he had been seen by numerous strangers kicking into nothing and seems to see things no one else can see. He also knows things he shouldn't know, even with datas. Let's dive into his troubled past and make acquaintance with his spiritual "guide", shall we?

Inspos :

This was one of my least fleshed out ideas in my mind but i will make it work. Upon watching the let's play of beta chapter one, 2 things in particular caught my eyes : the imaginary soccer balls and players Unmei can occasionally see and only him sees, and the stair yokai(?) at the first training. Even tho it is not the first time we are dealing with spirits in IE, this sounded being really of place here and i wonder if Level 5 is cooking something for it and if this is just a weird idea they wanted to add for funsies.

Disclaimers :

Typical IE car accident, mention of bullying, trauma, major character death, criminal offences implied, incoherent mess, no plot just vibes, worst story i have in stock, no beta, no redaction

Plot :

Due to some events before moving out, Unmei is haunted by the ghost of Kidou, except he doesn't know he is Kidou because his face melted

So far so good, the ghost is actually helpful for tactics, hissatsus and moving the plot forward (tho he tells Unmei to do things and refuses to elaborate)

The team meets Soramiya then Nagumohara vs Northbrigh match (the weird guy from Teikoku watches them)

After the match, they hang out with Soramiya

Turns out he and Unmei used to know each others a veeeeeeerrryy long time ago, and not even for long (tho Soramiya says Unmei was cool), before Unmei had his heart problems

Unmei is sus about Soramiya telling his new friends about his past and stops Soramiya to tell them more

This raises alarm bells for the team and they decide to investigate in secret

During a certain period of time, Unmei feels kinda left behind but he tries to be delulu and aloof about it and tries to convince himself it is just his imagination

In the meantime, Shisendo manages to steal Unmei's scholarship files from administration

Meanwhile, Unmei meets "by accident" the weird guy from Teikoku Alice Rendell, who decided it's rivalry time

So Unmei tries to pull off a tactic against Teikoku but can't do it alone so Kidou gives him the secret passwords to Teikoku's entrance and of his login there

This interrupts da team in their secret investigation because they have to infiltrate Teikoku's prom (this is chaotic)

They still learned from the students that a riot happened some months ago in the school, that the director had handled it by wielding a katana in the battle and sequestrated the whole school for some discipline, since then he is suspended and we basically have no news about him since that event

They also manage to collect some footages of Teikoku's playmaking

But once they were bailed out of jail (look, it's a whole another imaginary scenario), everyone but Unmei skips training because their investigations were that passionate

This leaves plenty of time for Unmei being alone with his imaginary toxic friend, to conspirate on how they are going to crush Teikoku, especially that Alice

Meanwhile, here are the results of da team investigations : Unmei had to change school A LOT because after the heart condition fatality, he had depression, changed personality for the worse, was toxic with his classmates, almost destroyed his schools several times by accident, got bullied, and his dad got to prison because he scammed too much people

At some point, bullying got so bad the bullies might or might not make a car crash into their previous house living room. That was according to his mom, but why having a driver dying such grusome death ?

Anyway, Nagumohara vs Teikoku

This is basically tactics warfare

Since da team neglected their training (and Unmei 😢) for this match, they almost lost but they tied

This was thanks to : 1. Unmei because he actually worked his ass off to rival Alice 2. Drama at Teikoku's side

The drama being : they ended up learning that Alice is singlehandedly responsible for the Riot™️, so they stopped giving a damn about him so they weren't at their best

After the match, Da Team apologized to Unmei because they weren't serious for this match, tho some of them remained distant because of what they learned about him (not Sakurazaki who kinda related to this story tbh)

Da Trio, who became friends with Haru at some point because he kept showing up for no reason, told him this crazy Teikoku situation and they all laughted

Haru : "btw, one of my uncles was running this school but after his suspension, he vanished for no reason and police is investigating on this"

The ghost later told Unmei to go to the funerarium and he meets Tsurugi there

Events of "the OG slasher" follow

At some point, Unmei and da team learned that it was Kidou the driver, not some bullies, and he basically missed a turn while escaping some lunatics who invaded his house

Events of "the cult who didn't like soccer very much" follow

The end, because i have no idea how to end this

Top 8 Anime of Spring 2024

Spring has sprung :) With all April's new anime now having 2-3 episodes out, it's time for me to recommend some so you can watch them along with me!

1. 🦹 Go! Go! Loser Ranger! (Ranger Reject; Sentai Daishikkaku)

This show is such a surprise and delight, it might even take over Dungeon Meshi for my anime of the year. Footsoldier D lives in a world stacked against him: he's a low-level monster called a "duster", an immortal shapeshifter made of dust, after all the monsters with any modicum of power have been killed off. Trapped in captivity for sentai heroes to kill over and over again, televised for the public's entertainment.

When D finally manages to escape, his prospects look bleak. He's physically fragile, weaker even than the average human: his kind has poor constitution, and anything more than a light touch will cause him to crack like porcelain. And while he can shapeshift to hide himself, any interaction runs a large risk of blowing his cover, considering he knows little of humans or the outside world. Despite facing almost impossible odds, D vows to steal the special perma-killing weapons from the heroes' base and free the rest of his people.

Every single thing about this anime is spectacular. The protagonist is instantly lovable, easily my favorite character of the season. He cannot effectively fight and has to rely on his wits to get anything done, making for incredibly suspenseful stealth and infiltration sequences. The animation is great, the music is great (best OP of the season go watch it), the story is great, I never know what to expect, it has a good sense of humor, there's nothing not to love. I haven't seen The Boys, but I've seen a lot of people compare it to that. Every episode has me on the edge of my seat, and every time D gets hurt I want to jump into the screen and protect him.

2. 🐈 Tonari no Yokai-san

Buchio was a normal housecat for 20 years. Until one day, he spontaneously transformed into a nekomata, a cat spirit, and developed sapience. Having suddenly made the step from pet to person, Buchio must decide how to find meaning in his new life.

He's not alone. This small town is populated by humans and yokai alike, from little kitties like Buchio, to awesome furries who take care of the community, to less-friendly entities who would do harm to the more defenseless residents of the town. Despite its large cast, it gives everyone the perfect amount of screentime, and moving over to a different storyline feels like walking next door to visit a friend.

Above all, this anime is about how community can help us through all kinds of change, from a new stage of life to the grief of losing a loved one. It's both sweet and sad, and I've seen multiple viewers claim it's already made them cry, even just three episodes in. If you enjoy Ghibli movies, you'll probably love this.

Also, they accidentally(?) made Buchio transgender. He's a calico, and calicos can only ever be female. THIS CAT IS TRANSMASC! Which fits the story's themes incredibly well.

3. 🚄 Train to the End of the World (Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku?)

This is definitely the weirdest anime on this list. In the near future, technology has advanced to the point where a new cellular network is invented that could allegedly connect people by their very minds. However, when it's launched, things go horribly, horribly wrong, kickstarting an apocalypse and isolating people from the world more than ever.

However, Shizuru isn't content to sit around her town and wait for her humanity to be drained away by the apocalypse's local effects. She gathers three other girls, learns to operate an abandoned train, and sets out to find her best friend (pictured in an Utena-reference yuri pose above), last seen at the epicenter of the network's launch. But as they get closer and closer to their destination, the world only grows stranger.

This is one of two original anime on this list, so there's no telling where it will go next, but I'm riding this train all the way to its destination! It's unafraid to try new and bizarre things, and great at balancing lighthearted and unsettling moments. Its thoughtful nature, dropping little hints and foreshadowing along the way, makes for a great watch for those who like to theorize.

4. 🩸 Vampire Dormitory

What if Ouran High School Host Club was about vampires? If you have ever watched mid-2000s anime, this is sure to bring a pang of nostalgia to your heart. After walking into a cafe and breaking an expensive vase, Mito becomes intertwined with Ruka, a vampire who licked Mito's bloody finger like a little freak. Ruka claims he cannot drink the blood of girls, so he's pretty happy to find a boy who's willing to give him a snack, and invites Mito to live in his dorm room with him, and maybe be boyfriends, because Ruka is falling a little bit in love. But Mito has a secret... she is secretly a girl, only disguising herself as a boy.

I'm going to be real with you: this show is not what I would call,,, "good" in the traditional sense. It's better than that. It's something magical and precious from a bygone era. It's a bisexual mess. It's got egregious sparkle effects in so many scenes it'll make you go blind. You will laugh. You will cry (when you see Mito binds with ace bandages). But you will mostly laugh.

5. 🌸 Whisper Me a Love Song (Sasayaku You ni Koi wo Utau; Sasakoi)

There are two entire yuri romances airing this season, and this is the better one! After hearing Yori perform with her band, Himari falls in love with her at first sight. And after Himari confesses, Yori falls in love at first sight right back! It's only after discussing further that the two realize they mean different types of love: Himari is in love with Yori's music, while Yori is a huge lesbian. Now they have to contend with their feelings as they continue to become drawn closer to one another.

So shoujo there's cherry blossom petals flitting across the screen in every other scene and so high school it'll make you wanna tear your hair out sometimes, this is so romance-concentrate that I can only recommend it to our strongest yuri warriors, lest its sweetness rot your teeth out. The music is also genuinely excellent, and the characters have great chemistry--not just the main couple, but the whole cast.

6. 💘 A Condition Called Love (Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai; I'm Addicted to You)

But enough of that sappy "healthy romance" crap. Have you ever wanted a shoujo romance anime where the male lead was completely insane? It's something I didn't know I wanted until I started watching this show. After witnessing her classmate Hananoi being dumped by his girlfriend, Hotaru offers him a gesture of kindness. What she didn't know at the time was that Hananoi is the most intense boy alive, and he immediately falls in love with her. Now, she needs to decide whether she wants to date him, or if he's coming on a little too strong for her tastes.

You might be thinking "Wait, the guy falls in love with her the same day he's dumped by his ex? Isn't that a little fast?" I promise you, that is far from the thing most wrong with this boy, who I have been affectionately referring to as "straight Komaeda". He exhibits many instances of what I would consider stalkerish behavior, his apartment is full of family photos with someone cut out of them and a mysterious curtained shelf he claims is a shrine to Hotaru (but he won't let her see it so it could be something weirder), and he morphs his entire appearance and surface-personality in an attempt to appeal to her. As a horror fan, some scenes had me feeling like Hotaru would get axe murdered any second, but he just turns out to be an extremely maladjusted teenage boy.

This anime and the manga it's based on have spawned discussion after discussion on all manner of websites about if Hananoi is a yandere, is he toxic, the works. He's like a discourse machine. As for me, I just find whatever's wrong with him really entertaining.

7. 🥊 Wind Breaker

That tsundere up there is the star of my favorite action-type show of the season. Sakura transfers to a new school in a new town known for its brutal fights and hierarchy, vowing to fight his way to the top. However, when he arrives, it turns out the students have recently come together to try and make their community a better place. Now, Sakura is forced to stop trying to use violence to cope and form genuine connections with others. Well, he can still have a little violence, as a treat.

The story in this show is light, but the characters and their dynamics are absolutely top-notch. Our adorably edgy little protagonist begrudgingly learning about friendship never fails to make me smile, and CloverWorks is absolutely killing it with the animation. If you're a fan of shounen-adjacent works, you'll love it.

8. 🎸 Girls Band Cry

This one's a CGI anime, just throwing that out there now. Girls Band Cry is basically the better version of that Jellyfish anime everyone else is losing their minds over but I think is super mid. High school dropout Nina travels to Tokyo on her own, sporting only dreams of starting a band and an attitude no one wants to deal with. Luckily, she meets some other young women with similar dreams and baggage, and if they can manage to work through their personal problems enough to actually get their music off the ground, they might just have something special here.

This anime is not afraid to have girls who suck. It feels refreshing and honest, the main character's continual self-destruction only making you root for her more. We stan Nina, maker of terrible decisions. As promised by the title, there is lots of crying.

Girls Band Cry can be watched in english exclusively via PIRACY!!! 🏴‍☠️ Which about fits this show's whole aesthetic. There are several competing fansubbers and a whole heap of drama involving them that I won't even get into here, but I've watched SobsPlease, Yofukashi, and NakayubiSubs and all were good. Whatever's on the unofficial streaming sites is probably also fine.

EDIT: Just finished The Grimm Variations. I'd like to add that episode 6, The Pied Piper, is actually genuinely fantastic. However, I'd also like to add a giant ⚠️CW for pedophilia/csa for that episode. Watch at your own risk.

So uh... I haven't started grinding out the Yokai Event yet. Mainly because I've already done it on my Main and Main-alt and I'm trying to finish up other things, but I do intend to do it for Yuki (my catboi, aka Mari's brother).

There's also some complaints on various social media platforms that BLUs are roflstomping (for lack of a better term 😋) all of the FATEs with their 2-skills and to let them do their thing for a period of time until things return to "normal". (I don't play BLU so... 🤷🏻‍♀️)

I just wanted to throw this out there (Kaiyoko's Guide from Twitter):

A friend of mine and I were trying to recall all the details of this event from when it was last ingame. There was some confusion around a specific detail and it's happening again now. It was all across Reddit last time, but this time I'm seeing it across Twitter, lol.

When you FATE grind in each respective zone/map, you need to have that Minion summoned/out in order to receive medals.

It's hard for me to remember because it was so long ago, but I believe what I did was- I just bought all of the minions in one go. Like, a wee bit of extra FATE grinding really wasn't going to kill me 🙃. (That's 49 medals, because the first minion is 1, and after that they cost 3. Unless they added more minions?)

The alternative is, you can get the first minion and then continuously return to the gold saucer and buy the necessary minion before you go to each zone. Just don't forget, lol 😅

For most zones, you can plan ahead. Like... Outer La Noscea: Blizzaria, USApyon, Noko (can all get Tokens from that map). That's 3 minions you can do on 1 map. So if you bought all 3, you wouldn't have to change maps, you can just FATE grind there and swap out your minions when you get the amount of medals you need. If that make sense? (I know my phrasing is awful sometimes)

(10 Tokens per weapon, except for the first weapon which is 5)

Another example would be, Central Thanalan: Komajiro, Shogunyan, and Jibanyan.

"Okay we've ruled out 2/3 of the list, have most of our photos done. So do we have any guesses before we do some tests?" Donnie says as they get ready to do a candle test, double checking that the crucifix was still good.

Mikey who's stayed in the truck the entire time checking the cameras, "I think I saw an orb, but the camera got moved before I could check." Replies while also checking the task board, "We still need to 'Cleanse the area of the ghost' also."

Leo who was searching for the bone that they still needed a picture of, asked "Which camera? Because I don't think we moved any of them. And has anyone found the bone we need the money!"

"Oh, it's labeled Headcam 3! So someone needs to go back into the ghost room so I can check!" Mikey shouts into the radio. He's been forgetting that they were all in the same room, just distanced to help with the effect of the game.

"I think that's my head camera thing, just a sec." Raph says, he hadn't moved to much because he'd almost broke his controller during an event where the ghost appeared right in his face, but he also wanted to not just be sitting there the entire round.

"WE HAVE A MIMIC!!!" Mikey yells out into the room, scaring or startling everyone else. "Choose Mimic, get to the truck, and let's get out of this asylum!"

"Mandarin we still need to finish that task, find the bone, and get 3 more pictures for a perfect game. So call down. You've been in the truck the entire time so why are you complaining?!" Leo says with quite a bit of sarcasm, right as he finds the bone, so he snaps a pic, picks up the bone, then zooms back to where the others were.

Right before

10 Minutes later the results read Mimic, and they all go up a level or two.

"Alright, so are we going to do the weekly challenge, or a custom challenge now?" Leo asks they just wander around the lobby with the clipboard that had the challenges on it.

Mikey was attempting to make the blacklight land straight up.

Donnie was looking through the custom challenge menu selections.

And Raph was playing with the games up the stairs. He was mostly playing with them to stop any potential physical fights, which while unlikely could still happen.

"The weekly challenge is basically a no evidence run, with the teir 3 equipment, but we also have no sanity or sanity medicine." Donnie informed everyone, "And it's in the Jail."

Mikey let out a groan. He hasn't liked the big maps since he got lost in the full asylum map, while being hunted by a Banshee.

"So Weekly Challenge it is!!" Leo announced.

"Just be glad we're not doing an Apocalypse challenge M. You still owe me for helping you with that by the way!" Donnie says turning to where Mikey was dramatically slouching in his chair.

The next three runs where shortened down, but all had the argument of what the ghost was. Only for Raph to somehow guess the ghost correctly, while everyone else got it wrong.

Then a run where Mikey was suddenly the only one alive, and the twins wouldn't let him leave without getting the ghost right. So what followed was a lot of dramatic screaming and hiding from Mikey.

"Mandarin you need to get out of that hiding spot if you want to get out of there alive."

"Then you get over here, and get me out!" Mikey shouts.

So the round was finally ended with Leo on Mikeys screen because he was too freaked out to move.

"So we sure it's a Morai?"

"I am Not going back in to check!!"

They eventually all complete the challenge, and decide to call it a night.

Though before the end of the video there's a series of clips of Leo screaming his head off while running from a ghost while Donnie is calmly circling a kitchen island, labeled Blue playing Phasmophobia for the first time.

Aika stared at her older brother in anger. “Haruki, leave her alone! She’s just a child!” She tries to help Milo stand after Haruki had roughly slammed her into the wall.

Michio helps his baby sister up and holds her protectively as their Aunt Aika stands in front of them, guarding both children from their uncle.

“Aika, move out of my way! She’s a demon and she deserves everything I do to her and more!” Haruki yells and Aika slaps him.

“She’s a yokai, not a demon! And even if she were a demon, she’s done nothing wrong at all! She deserves none of the things that you’ve done to her! I’m going to take both Milo and Michio with me right now!” Aika retorts as Haruki stumbles back from the slap.

Haruki pulls out a knife and swiftly grabs Milo and holds the knife to her neck and she has no visible reaction as she allows him to do this. “Do that and the disgrace will die right now. You can only take Michio.”

Aika tenses up. “Haruki. Put the knife down. Please.” She says seriously, slightly trembling.

Michio runs over and hits Haruki’s legs with his small fists. “Let Milo go!!” He yells and Haruki growls and cuts into Milo’s neck, causing her to scream and cry out in pain.

Aika immediately pulls Michio behind herself. “Please stop!!!”

He stops when he’s halfway through her neck and he shoves her aside as she goes unconscious.

Several weeks later, Milo finally wakes up, fully healed.

Michio sprints to hug her and he’s crying a lot. “Milo! Thank goodness you’re okay!” He cries out and Milo starts crying into his shoulder as she hugs him back, tightly.

After a few minutes, Michio breaks the hard news..

“M-Milo… I-I’m sorry… B-but… Aunt Aika is taking me to live with her today… I-I promise I’ll find you again one day. But until then… Here’s something for you to remember me by…” He sniffles as he grabs a bag that he’d left by Milo’s futon and she shakily takes it in her small hands.

Tears fill Michio’s eyes again as he watches Milo carefully pull the gift out, it’s a new purple bow.

She hugs him tightly as a silent thanks and he hugs her back, just as tightly. “I love you, little sis…”

“…I-I wove y-you too, b-b-big bwover…” Milo responds tearfully.

Aika gently knocks on the door to Milo’s bedroom. “Michio… It’s time to go…” She goes to hug Milo, crying.

“I-I’m so so so so so sorry, sweetheart… I-I wish you could come with us… I-I hope you understand why I have to leave you…” Aika strokes Milo’s head as she speaks and more tears pool up in her eyes when Milo nods.

Aika and Michio leave Haruki’s mansion in tears.

They may never see Milo again…

And they can’t take it…

They feel like if she were to die…

Milo’s blood would be on their hands…

~9 years later~

Milo smiles as she walks to the hashira meeting, excited to meet the newest hashira.

The 12 year old girl’s eyes widen in shock when she sees….

“M-Michi……” She whispers as tears fill her eyes.

She stops in her tracks as she stares at her older brother in disbelief.

Milo snaps out of her thoughts and sprints to Michio.

He gasps when he’s tackled to the pebbly ground by his little sister.

Michio immediately hugs her back and starts crying right along with her.

“I told you I’d find you one day, little sis….” He whispers to her as he rubs her back and cries into her shoulder.

The 2 siblings cried in each other’s arms for the first time in 9 long, agonizing years.

They’re beyond happy to be reunited with each other.

After being reunited, Milo and Michio wouldn’t stop clinging to each other.

They were just so happy to be able to see each other again.

Nothing can tear them apart now…

3) Okay, I'm getting the sense that Umi is in a Quincy-esque situation.

Like Quincy, he's protecting the village because of some sort of promise with a now-deceased member of that community. (Yes, I know that in Quincy's case his friend later told him to forget about that promise, but my point still stands.)

Of course, unlike Quincy, Umi was never a part of the community himself, and he doesn't have much affection/ investment in the current community. (I don't think him saving the child in an earlier chapter goes against that idea. After all, it's a basic moral principle to protect kids.)

And look, I get it. Whoever he made a promise to was extremely precious; even more so in the context of a yokai's long life.

HOWEVER, THESE BITCH-ASS VILLAGERS DO NOT HAVE ANY REAL RESPECT FOR MERFOLK---OR FOR NATURE IN GENERAL.

Donnie and Kendra arrived at the meeting place that was stated in the Email, it was an abandoned junk yard, strange place for a rich person to meet up for a job, but it was kind of to late to back out. They entered the Junkyard and, as expected, no one was there. Donnie had his BO staff in hand in case something went wrong.

"Are we early?"

Donnie looked around and he started to regret his decision of agreeing to this.

"I don't know..."

Kendra found a nearby chair, it was dirty but not so dirty that it'd be considered a health violation, she pulled it out and sat down.

"Man, you Yokai are weird, what's this guys business? Fantasy Goodwill? Why do they wanna meet in a junkyard."

"Okay first off, i'm not a Yokai, i'm a mutant. And secondly, it was your idea to take the job in the first place."

"Whatever..."

Kendra rolled her eyes and suddenly her attention was caught by a certain area of the junkyard, it was all destroyed, more destroyed than normal. She stood up and walked over,

"Hey! Where are you going!?"

"Come over here!"

Donnie walked over and joined her. She walked around examining all shattered glass, broken wood, and for a second she thought she saw blood, but she told herself that she was being crazy. Even Donnie was put off by the state of it all, it looked like a fight had happened, and recently.

"What happened?"

"I don't know... maybe some kids playing to hard, I know Yokai do have mystic powers, not just us."

Kendra's gaze immediately went back to pile of wood covered in dried splatters of red, maybe she wasn't crazy. Donnie saw her discomfort and followed her gaze to the wood, it didn't take him long to understand her expression.

"Or... Maybe it was a construction accident...?"

"Maybe..."

Kendra kept wandering, looking through the wreckage.

"Don't wander off too far, if the guy doesn't get here in like 10 minutes we're leaving!"

"Ok!"

Kendra wandered out of Donnie's field of vision. He pulled his goggles down and examined the wreckage looking for anything mystic that might give them an answer as too what happened.

15 minutes breezes by and just as Donnie's about to call Kendra so they can leave he hears a faint, "DONNIE-" and then a loud thud. He runs over to where Kendra was exploring, but she's not there, instead a pile of junk has been knocked down from it's "neat" pile.

"KENDRA! WHERE DID YOU GO!? I SWEAR TO GOD IF THIS YOUR SICK IDEA OF A JOKE!-"

Donnie's heart started beating faster and faster. Where in the hell is she? Donnie gripped his BO staff tightly. His head jerked around at what he could have sworn was noise.

"FUCKING HELL KENDRA! THIS ISN'T FUNNY! ugh... goddammit..."

Donnie stumbled around the area, he couldn't decide whether or not something had happened to her, or if she's playing some sick joke one him.

"I'm gonna kill her when I find her..."

Suddenly Donnie felt a hard, blunt jab on his neck, and before he could he even think, everything went black.

This part was a little shorter than others but trust me, it's shorter for a reason. Anyways, I am so glad that i'm done with the prologue, now I can actually move onto the main story of the AU!
