My theory (or hope 🤞🤞) for season 7 is still the couch theory.

Sooo I feel like they knew the show was probably going to end. Since Oliver shared something like they didn’t know until few minutes before the rest of us ABC picked them up (THANK YOUUU! It be so sad if it ended!) … So with that I’m thinking they made the ending where Buck tells Natalia let’s go get a new couch. Or something right? Like they knew if it ended at least Buck will get a new couch. Sooo I’m hoping now that they know (once strike is over.) they will be back now. Sooooo I hope for season 7 Buck and Eddie are moving in together, which leads to the famous blue couch into their new place. Then they sit down and kiss on it after it’s moved in. Christopher walks in and does the tween groan at his parents kissing making both guys laugh and pull apart. Christopher sits in the middle with both his dad and Buck his bonus dad on the couch. Then it fades out to show how Buck and Eddie got together. Like how they do the rewind 12 hours earlier or something. But this could be couple months ago or even weeks or days haha. Don’t get me wrong I love Buck’s loft but yeah for Buckley Diaz Family next step is moving in together, being boyfriends, having Tarlos over in their new place, and other friends laughing around the couch. Can even do a montage just Buckley Diaz Family on the couch in their new place. Playing video games again, eating dinner Buck made as a movie plays, tickle fights, sharing kisses, drinking beer as Christopher watches a tv show, … etc !

Sooooo please Ryan Murphy, Oliver Stark, Ryan Guzman, ABC… and anyone else involved with BUDDIE make them

Buck lets out a pained hiss as he drops the heavy kettlebell he had been using with a muffled thump onto the firehouse gym mat. He looked down at his hands, they were red and blistering; the callouses he had managed to build up were now broken and the skin peeling. At least the tension he had been holding in since last night’s dinner with Maddie, Chimney, Jee and his parents had dissipated.

“Buck…?” He hears Eddie say from behind him, he looks at his boyfriend who’s sitting on the weight bench nearby having paused his own workout.

“I’m fine babe just went a little overboard” Buck tried to reassure him but he can’t help but grimace out of pain. Eddie walks over anyways and gingerly grabs Buck’s wrists palms up, Buck can see the pained look in Eddie’s eyes that usually appear when Buck ends up getting hurt somehow.

“Jesus overboard is an understatement cariño” Eddie releases a low hiss between his teeth, “you need to get these cleaned” he adds softly when he looks up at Buck.

“I’m fine Eds, they’re not bleeding” Buck can’t help but huff out as he tries to look away from Eddie.

Buck feels one of Eddie’s hands on his cheek nudging him to look eddie in the eye “Your skin is peeling and I’m not telling you, I’m warning you” Eddie says with a tilt of his eyebrow to signal not to argue with him, as he leads Buck to the locker room bathrooms with a gentle hand on Buck’s wrist.

This fic was inspired by Oliver’s workout Instagram story a few days ago which is where the injury in the fic comes from and some of the fic is also based on some ideas a few peeps I know were throwing around when they saw the Instagram story.

i love that this is such a fling, such a happy thing for buck - he is finally feeling that puzzle piece click into place and it is freeing

and i cant wait to see all the small ways we see that play out!!!

You know what? I don’t WANT an awkward double date. I don’t WANT buck coming out and people having the ‘I know’ reaction or the ‘is it Eddie’ reaction.

You know what I do want?

I want Buck panicking over what to wear for the date. I want Buck flopping on his bed like very teenager after their first kiss all giggly and happy and touching his lips because he kissed a boy

I want Buck smiling every time he says Tommy’s name because maybe it isn’t forever and maybe he’s not even looking for forever anymore but he’s so happy and he’s so light and being with Tommy feels good

I want Tommy to keep calling him Evan, because before Buck was Buck he was Evan and Evan deserves to be happy to be treated so softly and lovingly and Evan deserves to be free.

I want Buck to be happy. To be happy and free and queer in the way we all deserve.

Well I have some thoughts on that! I think Buck does like Tommy, and there's no confusion for him about that. His feelings for both people can coexist!

My interpretation of last night's events for our chaotic bisexual kind of played out as him trying to get both Tommy's and Eddie's attention at different times. And not really knowing why. I think he was having feelings he couldn't really process because he didn't have the right context for those feelings and hasn't really felt them before.

So call me a clown but my thoughts are that he was definitely feeling jealous of both of them. With Eddie, he's primarily been close with only women outside of the 118, not other guys. Buck's subconscious feelings (not known to him at the time or even fully now) may have been along the lines of "Eddie likes women, I have no competition" and then in swoops Tommy (someone Buck already thinks is really cool and wanted to get to know even if he didn't quite know why yet) and his brain goes "I have competition" about both Eddie taking his new interest's attention and Tommy taking his long time interest's attention.

But then Tommy comes back into focus and clearly shows interest in Buck, so it clicks! This was that feeling! Part of the puzzle has been solved— it's just the rest that isn't as obvious to him yet.

Because without understanding his sexuality, Buck has likely only ever viewed Eddie as a friend even if along the way he has felt things that friends don't typically feel. So what we have right now is an opportunity for Buck to explore his bisexuality as a completely separate thing from Eddie, and then come to understand what he has also been feeling for Eddie without realizing before.

Or I'm completely wrong but only time will tell.
