Understanding the fundamentals of O-level and A-level physics

Simply stated, physics is the study of the laws of the universe. From laws governing the motion of massive planets & stars to the movement of tiny atoms & molecules, physics is our way to delve deeper into these mysteries of the universe. The O-level and A-level physics curriculums are the two stepping stones for a student to later pursue the study of physics as an attractive career path. Let us delve deeper into the fundamentals of these examinations, and how the best physics tuitions in Singapore are nurturing the next generation of world-class physicists.
O-level physics: laying the foundation
Before a student moves on to the advanced concepts in the A-level physics syllabus, it is wise to cover the basics. The O-level curriculum builds a well-rounded fundamental understanding of physics, on which the student can delve deeper in the coming years.
Mechanics: One of the core concepts taught in the physics curriculum is general mechanics. This topic includes the study of the motion of objects, the law dictating the motion behaviour, forces acting on objects and types of energy. A good O-level physics tuition in Singapore will convey the core concepts that will be needed in the A-level syllabus.
Electricity & magnetism: One of the pillars of understanding physics, the study of electricity and magnetism teaches the student about types of charges, flow of charge across potential differences and how to manipulate charges to generate usable electricity. It includes the understanding of Ohm’s law, electric circuits, and magnetic fields.
A-level physics: Delve deeper into the secrets of the universe
The reason for focusing heavily on both O-level and A-level syllabi is that we can see repeating topics in both. This repeating topic means a student lacking the fundamental understanding will lag behind their peers when moving on to more advanced concepts. Building on top of the previous year's syllabus, the A-level topics include:
Mechanics: In the A-level curriculum, mechanics includes the detailed study of Newton’s laws of motion and how they apply to various examples. The study of circular motion is also included in this topic.
Electricity and magnetism: Another repeating topic, the study of electricity and magnetism will cover advanced concepts like the interaction between electricity and magnetic fields. The study of the Alternating Current (A.C) is also included among the concepts in this topic.
Thermal properties: The study of energy, heat and how matter responds to various changes in its phase and temperature. This topic also includes the study of thermodynamics. The best A-level physics tuitions start from the basics and focus on analytical learning of concepts for a deeper understanding.
Do you need physics tuition for Junior College?
The competitive atmosphere pushes students to their limits. In this competitive environment, it is wise to cover all bases and leave no stone unturned for the best results. Although the top IP physics tuitions cover all topics, focus on practice problems and schedule assessments to help the students judge their preparation levels, a healthy amount of self-study is still needed to ensure ideal results. An experienced teacher can help you make this journey less stressful.

coriolanus snow x test subject!reader
~•*⁀➷ part two

cw// little heavier in themes than usual with human experimentation - mention of blood, drugs, slight mention of Stockholm syndrome, and injury - dedicated to my favorite @milliesfishes who has listened to me talk about this concept incessantly in her inbox and inspired so many amazing thoughts for an au like this and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TBOSBAS <3
Subject 004717 - November 17 7:41pm
Injected ten milliliters of test drug into the left arm. CS. Irritability noted after ten minutes. VG. Sensitive to touch after an additional five minutes. VG. Hallucinations and emotional instability began twenty minutes after injection. VG. Physical touch causes bruising. CS. Blood drawn to confirm bruising due to lack of iron. VG. Test reversal drug administered one hour post-injection. CS.
Coriolanus had rarely felt truly disturbed by Gaul’s experiments. Her mind was dark and twisted; he knew his own mind wasn’t too far from that. However, he had learned far too quickly that you were becoming a limit to what he could handle in her mad scientist lab. You had volunteered to be poked and prodded and injected and tested. You had volunteered to be Dr. Volumnia Gaul’s personal project, and Coriolanus was far too attached to it. He knew the university’s tuition wasn’t inexpensive even while his education was funded by the scientist herself, but to see his classmate, someone intelligent and capable, have to stoop to the levels of letting Gaul use you was something entirely different.
He wanted to save you. He wanted to take you so far from Gaul that she couldn’t even think about touching you again. The sound of your screams kept him up at night, and the sight of your blood distracted him in the middle of the day. He didn’t know how to survive your torture any longer. Standing idly by and watching your suffer didn’t feel right. But he owed Gaul his life, didn’t he? He needed to thank her for what he’d done for her, and yet he cursed her name for slowly killing you every day. The effects of her experiments started to show. The bags under your eyes darkened, and you were slower in answering questions in class. He could see how you tried to hide your wince when raising your arm or stretching out your legs. He wasn’t sure how much more you could take.
The two of you had developed a routine of sorts. He’d always spend a moment with you before an experiment, trying to keep your mind off whatever horrors Gaul had prepared for you, and afterward, he would clean you up and make sure you ate and drank some water before taking you home. If your insistence on volunteering your body to Gaul’s science hadn’t made your financial trouble clear to Coriolanus, the state of the apartment he dropped you off at made it more than evident.
You lived on the outskirts of the city, neighborhoods overrun by those who were on their way to being kicked to the districts. Every time Coriolanus brought you there, he couldn’t help but think you didn’t belong. He wanted to adorn you in every luxury possible, have you experience what it felt like not to suffer. But in a way, it made him understand you more. He felt a kinship to you, an understanding beyond what others would have in passing. He knew what it felt like to be in your situation. So when you first let him take you home after an experiment, he knew it was a sign of your trust in him. The same trust you bestowed on him every night since.
Whatever Gaul had injected you with tonight left you shaking even hours after the reversal. You couldn’t forget the feeling of losing control. The hallucinations clouded your brain before Coriolanus was forced to lay his hands on you. Gaul had made him hurt you, and even in your drugged state, you knew it caused him just as much pain as it did you. Neither of you spoke as he cleaned you up and applied a salve over the bruises. You two did not speak a word when Gaul excused herself for the night, reminding Coriolanus to initial his parts of the experiment log. You flinched when the door shut behind her before tears muddled your vision, and you bit down on your bottom lip to try and prevent their descent down your face.
“Come home with me tonight,” his voice startled you, an interruption in the racing thoughts of your head, “Come home with me, and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of.” This hadn’t been the first time he mentioned it to you. The last few times he dropped you off at your apartment, he tried to convince you to stay in the car, to follow him back to his penthouse, and to spend the night. However, you were always halfway out the door, thanking Coriolanus for his help before stumbling up the stairs to your apartment when he didn’t need to help you walk. Tonight, he hadn’t bothered to wait before asking, moving a hand up to cup your cheek and wipe the tear that fell against your will.
“Today was… We could both use the company tonight,” he explained quietly. You could feel the slightest tremor in his hands and could only imagine that he remembered tonight’s experiment just as sourly as you now did. Your feelings for Coriolanus were something you quickly discarded out of fear of Stockholm syndrome, unsure if they were real or not. But as his thumb rubbed over your cheekbone, you weren’t sure if you entirely cared about that fear for the night.
“Just tonight,” your voice was shakier than you thought it would have been, but he made no comment on it, leaning forward to ghost his lips over your forehead before helping you stand. Your knees buckled, but he was quick enough to predict that and keep you upright.
“I’ll call for the car after we get you dressed.” His voice wasn’t much smoother than yours, but the kindness behind it made you wonder if it was reserved just for you, a distinct change in him that only you had the pleasure of seeing. You cringed when he helped you over to a new chair, one whose cushions weren’t soaked in spots with your own blood. Everything hurt. It usually did after experiments. But whatever Gaul had concocted this time was making you tired in the most uncomfortable way. Coriolanus’ hands were always gentle with you when he had the chance to be, as if alone with you, he could be something he never allowed himself to be otherwise.
Those same gentle hands were the ones lifting your blood-soaked hospital gown off as his eyes trailed over your skin. Every scar became a reminder of past experiments, and he could recall most of them just by the placement and length of the scar alone. One along your collarbone had been the test of a new poison Gaul had created and soaked a blade in. The raised tissue on your side was a bite from one of Gaul’s newest mutants with the hope of saliva that would drive the tributes to the brink of insanity. Perhaps the scar that haunted him the most lay down the center of your chest, long and still red. She had performed surgery on you while you had to lie there awake, giving you a sedative that turned your body numb but kept your brain racing. Coriolanus held you for hours that night, fingers tracing along your arms to remind you that you could feel again.
He washed your skin so lightly with a wet cloth that you weren’t sure if you were imagining it. Each scrub took away the remnants of the experiments that were left, the dried blood, the tears that left salty streaks. The only thing he couldn’t wash away were the bruises, the bruises he’d inflicted on you. When you caught sight of him staring at one on your shoulder, you grabbed his hand to stop him from wiping at it anymore.
“You didn’t want to. I know that. I knew it even when it was happening,” you whispered, voice tender and comforting as he took a deeper breath.
“That doesn’t make it okay.”
“No. But it makes you better than her.” Those few words sent a warmth to his chest he hadn’t known he needed. When he didn’t respond, you leaned forward to rest your head on his chest with a small sigh, unsure if it was with pain or relief. He tensed at the touch at first, like you found he almost always did before he brought a hand to the back of your shoulders and carded his other hand through your hair. He didn’t need to say anything, and neither did you. You both knew that being close was the only thing that would fix the anguish in your chest tonight.
You two stayed like that for a few minutes, letting your chests move in sync with each breath until you took. Everything between you and Coriolanus felt foreign but in the most comforting way. He wasn’t the same as the rest of your life, and you weren’t the same as his. You became each other’s comfort even in the most uncommon of circumstances. Scientist and test subject were no longer an apt fit to describe the connection you carried. It had become something more profound than you knew how to define, which needed protection.
He took his time dressing you, fingers trailing gently along your skin like he could heal you and everything Gaul did to you just by a soft touch. When his lips lingered by your forehead, he pressed them flush into a kiss this time. It felt like your insides had turned to pure liquid, a feeling stronger than anything Gaul’s drugs had given you before. You watched as he called for a car to be brought around before he helped you into your pants that had been discarded earlier for a gown. Your hand moved on its own accord to push his hair back from his eyes as the gel he usually kept in it loosened; the late hours and his incessant need to run his hands through his hair anxiously showed the slight curls you wished you could see more often.
“Car’s here,” he spoke as he looked up at you, doing up the last button of your pants like a routine he knew all too well. Your lips tugged up in a soft smile as you nodded and let him help you back up, ignoring his offer to carry you. Your legs were weak, but you could still walk with his arm around your waist. His driver knew better than to ask questions about your state, but you felt their eyes on you as you slid into the back seat before Coriolanus moved in next to you. He stated that the only stop would be his penthouse tonight, and another small smile graced your features.
It couldn’t have been more than a minute before his fingers interlaced with yours. Another minute before you moved closer to him. Two minutes before your head rested on his shoulder, the weight of everything dissipating with every second further from the lab. You were halfway to the penthouse when your eyes finally closed, and he felt your breaths deepen against his side as you fell asleep. He was slow in moving you to rest your head in his lap, positioning your legs up into the seat and covering you with his jacket. He would find a way to get you out of this, out of Gaul’s hold. But until then, he’d let you rest and give you peace. Until he could find the words you so desperately needed him to defend you with.

Hexquad Cambridge University AU! Moodboards/Headcanons ✨️

A/N: A fun Au, but I'm too lazy to write it so instead I made some moodboards for each of the four pookies and some headcanons. 🎓🏫

Viktor, 26, an honourable Eastern European mix (Czech/Polish mom, Serb/Bulgarian dad)
Position: PhD in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, minor in Philosophy
Last name too difficult for Westerns to pronounce, so he is known simply as Viktor with a k at the university
He has been a prodigy since he was a child, winning innovator competitions left, right and centre
The State supported his education up until university. When his scholarship got rejected, his long-term tutor, the Dean of the Physics department, Professor Doctor Cecil B. Heimerdinger in combination with a letter of recognition from Sky's father (a prominent academic) paid his tuition in full
He offered some lectures to the Master's students and that's where he met Jayce and took him on as a research assistant to his project - Hextech.
He has certain insecurities as a result of how people viewed his disability as a child (Eastern Europe is not for the weak of heart) but with time he comes to accept it was not his business to educate or accept other people's remarks in regards to himself
Is highly respected among his peers
Also often hit on by students (can be quite oblivious to flirtations unless he knows or is interested in the other parties. For example, he always knows when Sky and Jayce are hitting on him)
Still, that level of attention from strangers annoys him so he takes his breaks in the botanic garden, pestering Sky who often could do without her crush looking over her shoulder and asking "How do these species interacts?"
His hobbies include silence, reading and sewing, believe it or not (rare, only when he has the time to really focus on it)

Jayce Talis, 25, Latino as far as he cares (his mom is Mexican, his father was supposedly English, he wouldn't know)
Position: Master in Experimental Physics
Raised by a single mom
The guilty money of his deadbeat dad paid for his tuition
Was not the brightest student in Elementary school but something just shifted in middle school and since then has acquired the moniker "Golden Boy" - valedictorian of his high school and bachelor program
Has crippling ADHD (on and off meds)
Is a big fan (has a crush) of Viktor's theories so he followed him around until the latter agreed to take him on as a research assistant (even pays him a bit)
Needs to create with his hands when he is overwhelmed so he found the only blacksmiths in Cambridge and works there on the weekends (loves it, sometimes Viktor or Mell will show up to encourage him or pass him a warm tea in the winter)
Is taken on extravagant vacations with Mel, whenever brands allow her to get a plus one and as a result has traveled a great deal of the world
Likes glitz and glamour just as much as he likes physics and getting dirty in the forge
Finds Sky Young and her passion for the outdoors difficult to understand but also hides in the botanic garden whenever a panic attack knocks on the door (they butt heads a lot but their hatred for a lot of other people unites them into an unstoppable force)
Doesn't get hit on a lot because everyone is scared of Mel (rightfully so)

Mel Medarda, 26, American heiress (both of her parents are American)
Position: PhD in Politics and International studies
Has a substantial online following and likes to nurture it. Wouldn't call herself an influencer but people do gawk and stare at her at campus.
Has never in her life known what it means to fail. Excels in every exam, every picture and every schedule she sets her sights on.
Picky with people, but charming to strangers
Likes to spend time in the lab with the boys whenever she has the time. Absorbs knowledge like it's nobody's business. Often offers a different perspective to their problems.
Her parents sent her off to England when she was 10 to a boarding school so she wouldn't grow too attached to them (they have never been a strong presence in her life). That built up a level of insecurity and anxiety within her that whenever they DO show up they're always disappointed she is not hanging out with those that could elevate her status.
Is close with her brother however (he is an aspiring politician). He likes all of her lovers/friends.
Due to everyone's attention always being on her, she TOO hides in the botanic garden to spend time with the human version of lily flowers. Also has a crush on Sky Young as much as Jayce has a crush on Viktor (they are excelling at bisexuality). Sky put a Marigold behind her ear once and told her everything will be alright and Mel's heart never quite recovered from that.
Also enjoys spending time just with Viktor. Jayce can be overwhelming at times. Viktor provides a slower pace and a more structured conversation. Brings him to galas where her parents have some level of involvement. He provides her with a lot of emotional support due to his DNA's idgafism.
Any attempt to hit on her falls flat. It's the equivalent of "baby...we couldn't even get a drink together."

Sky Young, 25, Mixed (Eastern European mom, British dad. Her mother's genes didn't even put up a fight, they just resigned)
Position: Master in Biological Studies with a focus on Plant Science
Has a full scholarship from the university. Also chose to assists the dean of bio studies (makes good money out of it) as to not burden her parents
Sky's and Viktor's moms were close when they were young so Viktor and Sky grew up relatively close whenever Sky traveled "home" for "vacation". She'd throw stones at anyone who had something to say about Viktor's disability (she never understood how they could be so mean to someone so inspiring)
Her parents nurtured her love for anything she wants to be (she's very emotionally healthy)
A shy extrovert. Needs a minute to get going. She makes acquintances very easy and can't quite figure out when sweetness borders on flirtations with those she truly cares for. (Doesn't understand how counting the moles on your childhood friend's face while holding it, putting flowers in the hair of the most gorgeous woman and hugging someone through their dark episode, is not something anyone would do)
Assigns flowers names in the garden.
Collects old volumes of classical literature
Writes short stories in her free time and bakes from time to time (designated birthday baker)
Can't drive, always walks or takes the bus (Mel would pick her up from time to time)
The only one of the four with a proper, clean apartment (they all hang out there, she makes them keys at some point)
Gets hit on a lot (she genuinely thinks people are just being nice and polite to her because she is to them)

A/N: I actually love that Au so much, if anyone has more thoughts, I'd love to hear.

ATLA modern au that is slightly more realistic than usual:
Aang:
Does not go to college
Lives part time with his grandpa gyatso and part time in his VW van
Works as a janitor at a dojo he used to train at and goes to the various kids belt ceremonies
Does a lot of activism in his spare time
Katara:
Goes to college on student loans
Lives in student housing with Ming from the episode the fortune teller as her roommate (this was too funny not to do)
Used to work for a nonprofit but got paid shit, was encouraged to do a lot of unpaid labor, and got super burned out
Now works as a tutor
Is torn between becoming a teacher and full time activism, while struggling with possible not being able to support herself on either path
Still does a lot of activism and that’s how she met aang
They were both part of a blockade to stop construction on something bad for the environment, the cops showed up, aang helped katara get away with his VW bus (I said more realistic not fully grounded)
Sokka:
Also in college on student loans
In student housing with tio from the episode the northern air temple as his roommate
Has a work study position with Pian Dao who’s a professor
Has switched majors a lot but eventually settled on engineering
Toph:
Uses the money her parents send her for tuition to rent a shitty apartment
They think she’s enrolled but she’s not
The college she told them she got into is very far away from them to help justify moving away
Doesn’t have a regular job but is part of a local level MMA league that she does pretty well in
Survives off that, odd jobs, and leftover money from her tuition
Suki:
Got into college on a sports scholarship
Is studying physical therapy
Rents an apartment with several roommates (kyoshi warriors)
Has some kind of training or coaching job, think camp counselor
Met aang through the dojo he works at and/or toph through her fighting league
Zuko:
Used to go to college but dropped out
After he was cut off bounced between his friends places before ending up fully moving in with toph
Works at his uncle’s tea shop (obviously)
Is generally very lost and doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life

The thing that’s pissing me off about this Faith Becoming a Doctor storyline is nothing to do with Faith and everything to do with how IT IS NOT THAT EASY! I have looked into training as a doctor and had to give up on it because it is logistically impossible for most working class people and casualty could have made a point here!
Right so first things first, there is no conversion degree for healthcare professionals- they just have to do the same graduate entry medical course as every other degree educated person. This degree is 4 years and only offered by a handful of medical schools in the country so let’s pretend Holby Medical School is one of these universities and just suspend our disbelief- moving on
Before she can even apply she would have to take this test called the GAMSAT which is absolutely ridiculous and now don’t get me wrong I think you should prove that you are academically capable of completing a degree before you start it but the GAMSAT is not doing that. For starters, it’s not a pass or fail, you’re ranked by percentile compared to other people who took it, so you don’t just have to prove you CAN do it, you also have to be better than everyone else who tries. Furthermore, the questions aren’t marked like the exams we took in school; or even uni. The entire paper is marked, and then the amount of marks a question is worth is decided based on how many people got it right. For example, a question 90% of people got right would be worth 1 point, but if that same question was only gotten right by 1% of people, it would be worth 10 points, so there is very little way to intelligently work for a better score. It’s also been proven by research that the correlation between GAMSAT percentile and completion of medical degree, academic attainment and retention by the NHS is not statistically significant. There are 2 sitting a year and you have to do them at the specified time and place, making it very hard for someone working shifts (like Faith) to get that test done. To add insult to injury, it is £250 PER ATTEMPT and you have pay for practice exams. Let’s not even get into how Faith is supposed to study for a test that is 5 hours long and 1 section reading comprehension, 1 section essay questions and then a third section which is UNDERGRADUATE level biology and chemistry and A2 level physics with no practice material all while working full time and being a single mother.
Secondly- the course is not entirely funded by student finance. Each year is 9.5k and only about 60% of this is covered by student finance. The other 40% ish is covered by an NHS bursary- except for the first year. This means you need to come up with about 3.8k (from memory) in tuition fees to sit the first year. Your NHS bursary doesn’t kick in until you pass first year and go into year 2. Faith will be paid more than a ‘regular’ nurse, but 4 grand is not a small sum of money and would be hard for her to pull together.
Finally- this is not a course that is offered part time (if they keep her in this show and pretend that she’s doing it part time or, even worse, as evening classes, I am going to LOSE MY MIND) and it’s very, very hard to have a part time job because of the heavy work load and eventual placement shifts. My fist degree was a BA and I had a job the whole time, but I also had low contact hours and no placements to do. There are no bursaries for living costs that I could find and there is no way you could live off a student finance maint loan, if they even offer you one, especially when you’re supporting 2 kids. Faith would not only need to live somewhere with a university that offered GEM, pay for and do well in the GAMSAT and have 4k to pay tuition her first year, she would also have to be able to stop working for 4 whole years.
This is not something she would do over the course of a few weeks, she would be worrying about funding, about living, about the kids and having a menty b about the GAMSAT. casualty could make a really good point here about how someone who would succeed as a doctor, and has committed her entire working life thus far to the NHS, financially could not afford to retrain. Instead I’m sure they are going to take the ‘night classes’ route and I am, in fact, going to LOSE MY MIND
#shoelace family#shoelace fandom#causualty#bbc casualty#faith cadogan#get ready for me to be really annoying about this fellas#I am Not In The Mood

Drum Corps is not for everyone, but should it be?
I've said this for years, and I have meant and agreed with the idea that drum corps is not for everyone. While the activity in it's current form is celebrated for its precision, complexity, difficulty, and overall power and emotion of it's performances, it hides a lot of the less attractive sides of the season from it's fans and prospective members. Current members/alumni/staff of corps are quick to extol the virtues of competing for a summer in a DCI tour (and DCA to a lesser degree for other reasons), but slow to tell of the harder parts of a tour away from home. I understand that as a defense mechanism, we focus more on good memories and recollections rather than the bad ones, and even the bad ones are retold in a more humorous and softer manner.
On the whole, drum corps as it is now is not for everyone. I would even go so far as to say it is not for most people. Most people with physical and developmental disabilities/differences cannot partake in a season. People that cannot afford to pay the tuition, either through their own income or money generated from gifts, philanthropy or scholarships cannot partake in a season. People that are unable to handle the rigors of life on the road for several weeks cannot participate. People that have food allergies or overly specific diets may not be able to participate. Even people that are physically capable may be excluded if they cannot meet physical requirements set by the staff.
Hearing people talk about the differences from the 60s and 70s to today's current corps, one of the biggest changes is the consensus is that there is no place for the average youth in a drum corps today. They say the days are gone when a person can walk into a rehearsal, be handed a horn or a drum or a flag, and be taught how to use it. While I know some corps will teach people, especially in the brass realm, and also take preference to people that were unsuccessful in their primary audition, these corps are the exception and not the norm.
The point of this line of thinking aloud is to ask these questions: Should drum corps return to it's roots of being an activity for everyone?
I don't think there is a wrong answer on this, but I do have some opinions. I think regardless, the current model of the activity is untenable and eventually will crumble. Hopefully DCI sees this and helps to make positive changes that will benefit all corps. Things like a regional tour over national tours, with a final trip to Indianapolis for Finals could massively help reduce a corps' budget for travel. Because of this, the corps could lower their tuition a lot, and allowing more people to be able to afford it.
However, I do prefer that drum corps stays on it's current path of being an activity that focuses on excellence and performance for the audience while pushing physical and creative bounds. The drum corps I marched in may not have had the most talent, money or the best design, but we did have the drive to squeeze every last bit out of a show to make it as good as it can be. I also liked how everyone was there for that mostly singular reason. One of my biggest frustrations when I did high school band was that some people like myself enjoyed band for what it was, and others were there for social reasons and didn't have the same level of care as I and some others did.
So what about the people that could benefit from being in an activity like drum corps, but have no experience? Depending on their geographic location, I think the SoundSport and All Age(DCA/Senior corps/whatever you want to call them) groups can definitely fill that role if they want to, and many do already. But for others, I think things like a recreational band or sports league or arts program or anything of the like would be just as good for people. Drum corps in and of itself is not the important part of being a positive thing in people's lives, it's the act of being active, doing something you enjoy that brings people together. If you can create a community for people from a league that plays baseball, or a local band that plays in parades or gives concerts at a local social place like a park or ampitheater, than that is just as valuable to the individual and community as the corps were back in the 60s and 70s.

Countdown to JEE (Main): Week 1/33

Yep, I'm doing it. Forgive my attempt at aesthetics (but if you like it, then don't).
I've been a bit less productive than usual this week, mostly because I've been spending far too much time on Discord — should really cut down on that — and also staying up late, which has a terrible impact on my daily activity level.
But, well, it's going.
Targets: 3 topics of each subject covered per week; 400 questions solved per week, at least 80 of each subject
Topics covered:
Physics: Potential and Capacitance; Motion in One and Two Dimensions (2/3)
Chemistry: Halogen Derivatives; Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers; Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry (3/3)
Mathematics: Definite Integrals; Area Under a Curve; Matrices (3/3)
Looks like I'll need to work on Physics, then. I'm a bit behind with respect to Allen, but my physics tuition is helping me along in that regard so no need to worry.
Questions solved:
Physics: - Allen Electrostatics module, JEE (Main) archives — 34 questions, 30 correct - Tuition Potential and Capacitance module — 192 questions, 172 correct - Tuition Vectors and Motion in Two Dimensions module — 108 questions, 102 correct Total: 334/80 questions, 304 correct
Chemistry: - Allen Thermodynamics (Part 2) module, O1, O2 and JEE (Main) archives — 82 questions, 76 correct - Himanshu Pandey, Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers chapter — 110 questions, 93 correct Total: 192/80 questions, 169 correct
Mathematics: - Allen Definite Integrals module, O1, O2, O3 and O4 — 75 questions, 61 correct - Allen Area Under a Curve module, O1 — 30 questions, 23 correct Total: 105/80 questions, 84 correct
GRAND TOTAL: 631/400 questions, 557 correct
I've been having some trouble with calculus, as you can see. I'll need to work on that as we go. Nothing to do but practise.
Upcoming tests:
07/05/24 (Friday) — test at physics tuition center. Topics: Motion in One and Two Dimensions; Units and Dimensions; Potential and Capacitance; Chemical Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry; Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers.
09/05/24 (Sunday) — Aryabhatta National Maths Competition
That's all for this week.

Apps & Websites I Use For Self Studying For NEET (besides tuitions)
PW (Physics Wallah) — highly recommended. it offers you modules, video lectures, handwritten notes, etc. for free + you get to solve neet & jee pyq's, access solved answers, ask doubts.
Bank of Biology — it's a website where you get ppts for every chapter of biology in 11 and 12, useful if the writing style of ncert makes it difficult for you to concentrate. but i wouldn't recommend completely ignoring ncert bio, because neet questions can come from each and every line of the book.
Byju's — good app for solving board level mcqs, also offers free video lectures.
Toppr — my go to app for doubts in the questions of any subject, most of them are answered by this app. (i also refer to Byju's for solving doubts).
