Rabbit the... Rabbit

Mischievous troublemaker, “Rabbit” is one of the lower-rung living dolls that makes it his mission to inconvenience everyone around him. Whether it’s breaking, "borrowing", or dropping something, so long as it puts back the progress of whatever they were doing, he doesn’t mind. A loner that resides in a makeshift treehouse and doesn’t interact with many other dolls. Which is fine by him. Better to be alone and on the verge of forgetting who you are than to be around those proud, vain dolls that’ll work him until his stuffing gives out.

I’m pretty happy with how this came out. it was with Jax (called Rabbit here) and having trouble with coming up with an outfit that I decided on the older style. His outfit is inspired by 90’s fashion. And his overall design is based on plush rabbit toys, albeit a little busted up. I had sketched out the general idea of Jax missing an eye and part of his ear missing and the idea evolved to where he lost a whole arm and had to get it replaced and also lost a lot of stuffing and had to have some of the fabric brought in (hence the visible stitching). Yeah, it’s honestly impressive he made it through, especially with the haphazard repairs he got. But with the hierarchy of the dolls that's been reworked and what they do to club dolls like him, it might have been better if he didn’t.

The song for him is Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio. I'm not super familiar with a lot of 90s songs (mostly because they’re not my taste) but listening to this one a few times, I think it matches what he’s been through and his general attitude.

I am so stoked about how these look!! My fingers died a little because this worn leather was a lot thicker than I expected but they turned out so well. They have a beautiful weathered, post apocalyptic vibe to them.

The eyelet is to attach a chain to, that goes underneath the boot. Or to hang more trinkets from, like y'know with everything I own.

The docs are thrifted btw! Actually given to me for free at the thrift where I work, and then I took them to the cobbler because the inside of the heels was completely gone, and the rips in the toes were almost through the shoe entirely. But that was 25 euros well spent because they're super comfortable now.

Zooble the Fire Mage

Zooble is one of the two co-leaders of “Casino,” One of the largest standing factions left in the known world. They use their knowledge of magic and spells to aid the residents in any way they can. But they also use it to enact punishment when need be.

Their hot headed and slightly scary demeanor garners them a bit of a reputation, especially to the other factions and those who dare defy them. But they are fair. Whether to the natives of the country or the refugees from the neighboring fallen kingdom.

I will say, the other three of the canon cast were a lot harder to figure out. Since I was going a fantasy route with this, I knew that I could technically do whatever I want for the designs, but what those designs would be was a little out of reach. I’m still not 100% sure on Gangle and Kinger, but we’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.

Regardless, despite hesitancy and fear, I do legitimately like how this Zooble take came out. I knew that when I was going for the older style fashion, they absolutely had to have an 80’s look. The bright colors and eccentric designs of that era just seem to mesh really well in my mind. I went with that while also adding a few punk elements to it as well. and I do have a few things that mimic canon Zooble; such as the antenna, choker that matches the chest piece they have, and a jacket that changes colors and pattern.

I will also add they have a bit of an antagonist role in this. While Pomni and Zooble are similar with their goals, how they go about them puts them at odd with each other. That and Zooble’s not the easiest person to get along with.

I’m Tag, a regular in the Post Apocalyptic scene (yes that’s a thing lol), a satanic Hispanic tattoo artist and a Degenerate.

I’ve been attending the biggest post apocalyptic festival in the world, Wasteland Weekend and every satellite event I can creep to since 2013, and have no plans of ever stopping.

I belong to “The Degenerates” an official themed camp of around 16 debauch little beasties who delight in equal parts psychedelic whimsy and pagan displays of blasphemy. We have a wholesome good time pretending the world has ended.

We have a speak easy called “The Hung Monk,” a Clown, a DJ and a few burlesque dancers. It’s pretty lit.

I also have a YouTube channel called “The End Times” where you can see various rough footage of events as well as some of my outfit builds. My costuming was pretty cringe at the start and it still is but now in an intentional way I embrace and condone.

This year’s Wasteland is coming up in September and I’ll be posting my latest art/ build projects, camp Shenanigans and event photos here for your viewing pleasure.
