Right. all possible interesting pairups of Muro & co [Muro, Elena, Tesoro, Dina, Cherry, Russo & Conficcare like twice] and what would have to happen/has happened. Because i love these human disasters<3 I'll be writing up similar stuff for the 'canon' relationships in another post bc this is already a monster.

Dina/Muro: they respect each other to much as adults but Dina and Tesoro were the only people Muro was in contact with in the aftermath of Elena leaving and combined with Cherry being in prison for life Muro and Dina absolutely got shitfaced and hooked up at least once and will never speak about it again.

Cherry/Tesoro: Tesoro coming out changed quite a few perceptions of her, but Cherry also realized shes hot as fuck. Tesoro is still debating if getting into another toxic relationship right after breaking up with Conficcare is a good idea. Cherry was voted to be Tesoros most likely rebound. Tesoro would need like four shots and be feeling angry at Conficcare in the moment and Cherry is down whenever.

Russo/Muro: Would not happen as adults but Muro probably had a little crush on Russo bc she was the one openly dyking out as a teenager and tbh everyone did. Every time Russo is reminded Muros not actually a man and is just really butch and gnc she gets so hard she could pass out. but then she remembers how annoying Muro is and gets over it.

Dina/Elena: The other side to the Cherry/Russo casual makeouts as teenagers. No one will every know about it but Dina wanted to experiment and trusted Elena not to let word slip or make it weird. I think they might casually hookup as adults when Cherry and Dina are on a break and successfully keep it secret [Tho Elena would inform Muro after they are back together]

Dina/Tesoro: They are having intense debates on morals and logistics and hooking up would be less weird and less charged. Dina has joked about leaving an emotionally unstable redhead woman with blood on her hands for a more stable one who also has the bonus of cute freckles and no one can tell is shes joking or not. Tesoro is more interested in the mind games but happy to be seen as more stable in herself.

Cherry/Elena: Maybe some teenager messing around but max once or twice. As adults Cherry is wary of Elena and her other lives and Elena is likely wary of just how little principles Cherry has. a few interesting hookups when they run into each other outside of naples but nothing regular.

Muro/Conficcare: The first jojos timeline would have ended decades early if they ever had sex. Muro is not interested and Conficcare is luckily just shy of the kind of self destructive to drag him into it. Radioactive levels of fallout. Goes past my personal zone of "thats fucked up, in an interesting way to explore" and keeps going past the point i can only stare at a wall and dry hurl about it.

Cherry/Muro: They will flirt like they want to kill each other and if Cherry wasnt in prison she probably would have also been a rebound but its just platonic now.

Elena/Tesoro: It was built on a promise of not being romantic or sexual and both of them think adding that would change it in ways they dont exactly want. They talk about everything with each other and changing their relationship would mean they would probably loose some of that and they dont want it to change. tho give it like a decade or so after Tesoro transitions and well...

Russo/Tesoro: Russo definitely sees Tesoro with new eyes but she has worked with her for so long it would make things awkward. Or worse Tesoro would start flirting with her and her the great cassanova would get flusted because Russo is smooth but Tesoro is smoother. Also like shes the one who has to deal with the aftermath of Tesoro and Conficcares breakup Muros lieutenants probably shouldnt mess around together! [Tesoro reaction: being incredibly smug] in the end theres some sexually charged sparring going on but tbh Russo is right on not creating another mess so it stays at just that and comments that would count as workplace harassment if it wasnt mutual

Elena/Russo: At teenagers Russo was to busy teasing Elena for her unknown crush on Muro and as adults Muro/Elena are the least open of the relationships and it would feel really weird on Russos side [Dina: Mm yeah...] and Elena isnt really interested she has her own butch at home.

Elena/Conficcare: They fake dated as teenagers for a week to beat the gay allegations and had the most awkward peck on the lips ever. It did not work. They hate when its brought up.

Tesoro/Muro: It wouldn't happen before Tesoro transitioned [though if it did it would require being so inebriated they dont remember because Tesoro would have a really bad breakdown after. Muro was at a few points hungry enough for intimacy he would have gone along with it and tbh been fine with it but Tesoro would Crash Out BAD] And after... probably has happened tbh.

yeah yeah another dteam friendship essay but I kept getting recommended this video called what zero chemistry looks like about the three lunchly guys and after dayss i finally decided to watch it earlier because i was curious and like holy fuck it really does give me an even deeper level of appreciation than i already have for dteam friendship as both friends and business partners... like knowing they have never once let ego destroy their relationship and view the success of one as a success for all three of them makes me so happy considering how bad some of these cc friendships go where it falls apart over petty reasons or drama or resentment i think its so reassuring that, especially considering its an all men friendship where things like competition and arrogance tend to be more of a theme in seeking success together, they really do love each other and are super close because theyre just genuinely besties and arent launching stupid harmful products or bound together out of spite against other ccs. of course this extends to munchy too in general but this main little group just works so well and im just really glad they exist now more than ever in a time where that type of macho chest puffing and hyper individualist alpha culture exists and a lot of men are unable to communicate without ever letting down their guards to even people who are supposed to be friends. or even business partners like its just talking around each other. like im not saying any successful friendship ever is constant emotional disclosure lets all weep into each others arms but just being real with people. as much as theyve all gotten burned in the past thank god they have each other to reliably lean on and trust completely, that is what really makes their friendship so good and real and sweet in addition to just being really compatible with each other in humor and communication style. idk just warms my heart i suppose

As much as you guys hate to admit it, the Five and Lila pairing makes sense and was not at all utter bullshit as you guys are making it seem.

From the time Lila was introduced, she came in as a strong character that's wild, sexy, fun, and a bit deranged. She's a badass character! And what happens? She meets Diego in a point in her life where she was at the height of chaos and adventure. They fall in love, or in a toxic situationship filled with family drama and mother/father issues.

Now let's look at Five. His situation is overall fucked. Imagine being some kid that grew up with space/time travel powers and getting stuck in time, having to grow up pretty much before all of his siblings, and then having to come back in his KID body and still have to fix THEIR problems on top of dealing with his own mental issues that he acquired and loneliness. Reminder that he would not have had a partner due to his inconvenient life/appearance.

Lila and Diego are in this marriage with kids after trying to live a "normal" life. Lila feels stuck because she basically trauma bonded with some guy that happened to be there and was able to put up with her issues and vice versa. Diego was convenient. And from what I see, she really just wanted to make a family she didn't have. Their relationship is kinda out of obligation for their kids at this point, and neither of them are happy.

At this point, Five and Lila get stuck in time together after having previously been on opposite sides but coming together for family sake. From the beginning they matched each other's energy and even I would say they complement each other. They both have explosive personalities filled with sarcasm, snark, and a bit of humor. They both enjoy danger and a rough tussle. That's all they have known.

At this point, both Five and Lila have experienced so much in their lives, so much adventure already. They are ready to settle down, because sometimes love is the adventure you're looking for in this crazy world.

And look I get it. Badass lady is reduced to housewife trope that shouldn't exist unless within character. But can we really say this is out of character for Lila? She always does the unexpected, so her going off to be a spy is what we would expect, for her and Five.

And I also get that you guys think that Five would never betray his family like that. This isn't a perfect world and neither are these characters. If anything, we've seen Five do things for his own self interest over what the family/others want. Same for Lila.

Add in the loneliness of DECADES from Five and the trapped loneliness Lila feels within her marriage, and the fact they they go on another mission together over SEVEN years, mixed with their explosive dynamic and you have a pairing.

And explosion seems to be the theme for this season right? With Ben and Jennifer. Sometimes 2 exlosive chemicals become more stable rather than creating a blast. And maybe each other is what Five and Lila needed. They both understand each other in ways Diego could never understand Lila. Lila also understands Five's predicament like no other, having lived it first hand with him in the Seven years. It's only natural that they would come together. Lila and Diego were eventually going to divorce because they weren't compatible. Lila has always had the most chemistry with Five.

I get the cheating and in no way do I excuse it, but these characters have no idea when they will ever get back home and if. I think they would go absolutely crazy if they didn't have each other. In this time, they realized how similar they are and ended up being a better match. They found what they were looking for in each other. And you can't deny their connection like come on.

In my experience, in the real world, love is messy and not perfect. Sometimes finding love is your next adventure after you've live a life like no other. Maybe this will be good for them.

Also, they writers arent crazy or out of pocket, you guys just need to grow up.

Premise: Mikey is very autism coded and no i will not elaborate. god forbid i have a hobby. Anyways, Mikey and his autistic behaviors x an also autistic reader. the reader borders on being high support needs, while Mikey is more low support needs. reader is gn <3

-Mikey will crash tf out if a food has two textures combined that he deems as not compatible. Fullblown starts throwin punches.

-He also only wears clothes of specific textures. He probably HATES the feeling of corduroy, lace, and velvet.

-Tags on his clothes need to be appropriately removed or he will rip the shirt clean off in frustration.

-He hears electricity, and most definitely gets PISSED when its particularly loud.

-What conditions he is in when he takes a nap vs the conditions he is in for when he goes to sleep for the night are vastly different.

-Naps? he just needs to lean against something and have his arms crossed over his chest. he can be woken up and immediately do shit when woken up from a nap, though he'll be annoyed about it.

-Sleep? specific texture sheets, specific soft pajamas, specific amount of blankets, background noise like a fan, specific room temperature, his pillow has to be fluffed perfectly. he cannot just wake up and go do shit from sleep, he's groggy as hell and incoherent for atleast 2 hours.

I have long said polyamory can be either a "lifestyle" or an orientation. For me, it certainly feels like the second one. But not everyone sees it that way.

If you've got a good thing going and it's working, genuinely what difference does it make if it's "natural" to you?

The only reason to stress any of this is if you're having trouble managing some aspect of it, or you arent getting what you want from your relationship, and you're worried about whether it's worth it. And then I recommend you address that specific problem, rather than trying to answer if you're True Of Heart Polyam or whatever the fuck you're going on about here.

Now, if you do have those other concerns, it could well be a big problem. It could lead to heartbreak, and then you have my full sympathy. But even then, to be frank, you would find another love in time. I've had 3 ½ "loves of my life" and I am only with one currently. It happens. It sucks shit. It doesn't mean the love for one is invalidated by another. We were not split in half upon birth. There is not one perfect missing person who completes you. There will be dozens of people you're compatible with over a lifetime. People think acknowledging this means they're not loving their current partner right, but that's obviously shit as a poly person I don't subscribe to.

You had just changed into your new swimsuit that you bought few hours ago from the shops in the resorts. The little fabric was complimenting the curves of your body beautifully, leaving a little gasp even from between your own lips.

You smiled knowing someone else might also enjoy it. You pushed back your hair glancing one last time at the mirror with a satisfied smile. You grabbed your sunglasses and left them resting on top of your head.

Your close friend, who was one of the few nurses on the ship, called Livia, was waiting for you outside of the changing room. She glanced up at you and smiled.

-This is just so sexy.

She commented while making you turn and checking you out. You grinned and nudged her arm playfully. You blushed a little and intertwined her arm with yours. With your other hand you played with the gold necklace pending on your neck. You two started walking towards y’all fellow pirates.

She yelled at you as she pulled herself up of your body. Marco watched the scene with a chuckle and pulled his hands, offering them to both of you. You took one and chuckled.

-It’s so good to be able to relax a little bit, you exclaimed while stretching your arms, enjoying the way the sun was warming up you exposed skin.

-Let’s jump in the pool already, I’m sweating.

Livia complained as she grabbed her hair and pulled them up to allow some air to hit the back of her neck. You saw few of the men on the ship give her heart eyes. You chuckled knowing that Livia was probably the most lesbian girl you have ever knew and those guys could only hold into their fantasy. You truly hoped it would work out with her crush though.

Imani was a beautiful dark skinned women who was working hard to keep up with Whitebeards health as much she possibly could with of course the help of Marco. She was one of the popular member on the ship, known for her beauty and intelligence. So it wasn’t surprising to know that a lot of people liked and admired her.

-Yeah, enjoy it! Not everyone can enjoy the pool freely, Marco replied referring to him being a power holder. He suddenly snorted and he quickly excused himself while a chuckle left his lips.

-Whats wrong ? You asked curious of what he was laughing at.

He moved his head pointing behind you with his familiar smirk. You frowned confused and looked behind you, only to see your freckled friend trying his best to swim with a unicorn swimming ring, two orange arm floaties on each of his biceps and water googles. You couldn’t help but burst into a laugh.

You whipped the tears at the corner of your eyes from laughing. The view in front of you was so different from the cocky and confident man you knew.

-OI, ACE ! You look like a kid who’s learning how to swim!

You yelled while holding into your stomach. The tall man looked at you confused and a red blush tinted his freckled cheeks. He removed his googles to let them rest on top of his head.

-LEAVE ME ALONE !

He yelled back with an embarrassed frown.

-He’s so cute, you mumbled under your breath but loud enough for Marco and Livia to hear it.

-How about you join him?

Livia exclaimed while pushing your body into the water. You didn’t even have time to react that you felt your body entering the cold water of the pool. You fought back a little in the water as you were taken out totally in surprised. You finally pulled your head out of the water and pushed your soaked hair out of your view.

-LIVIA! What was that about ?! I almost lost my glasses.

You yelled at her slightly annoyed as you pushed your sunglasses at her. You definitely had water in your nose. She laughed at your slight frustrated expression. She threw your glasses to Marco, before jumping into the water too, splashing you , making water enter your eyes this time.

You waited for her to emerge out of the water to splash her eyes back with constant water waves.

-Im sorry, I’m sorry ! She pleaded while putting her hand up in defeat.

Marco shook his head wondering why two young adults like Livia and you were acting like total children.

You heard Ace suddenly yell with his stupid grin. You smirked and started to swim towards him. You saw his eyes grow big when he realized that he was the one in disadvantage. He tried to « swim » away but some kids was pulling into the unicorn head of his swimring. So he was mostly fighting against sinking because of the kid.

You finally arrived next to him and looked up at him with mischievous eyes. Your propped yourself on his floater.

-Did the kid and you planned this ?

He asked a little bit annoyed but you could feel he was tense. You glared at the annoying kid and pulled his arms off of Aces unicorn.

-What do you think you’re doing?

You asked him seriously. He looked up at you, lips suddenly trembling. He quickly left while screaming for his mom. You looked back at Ace and started to laugh. You swam back to his floater and so your arms and chest were resting on the huge swimring.

His eyes travelled down to your breast and then to your lips but he looked away with a blush.

-Get off, you are gonna make me sink.

He said while gazing at your wet body once again and then at your eyes.

-I dont feel like it, you replied with a pout while tilting your head.

He rolled his eyes and he licked his lips as he brought his face closer to yours. He smiled with his familiar mischievous eyes that you loved so much. You felt butterfly in your stomach at the sudden proximity.

You grinned and pushed back his head with you finger on his forehead.

You laughed as you got off of his swim-ring and helped him by pulling him and swimming forwards. By the edge of the pool, Ace removed his unicorn with your help and quickly pushed himself outside the water. He sighed relieved as he walked slightly away.

You said while glancing at his tone body glistening with the water. The way his back muscles moved as he slightly turned to your direction. He looked over his shoulders as he was removing his arm floaties.

-Uh..yeah sure.

You waved at him with a smile and searched for Livia somewhere in this sea of people. He watched you walk away from him. He wished he proposed you to eat an ice cream and maybe talk somewhere in this big resort, maybe learn more about you if you allowed him to. But he wasn’t sure of how you would take it.

You were always big on being independent and it was something you had proud in. He didn’t even know if being in a relationship was even something you thought about. Maybe you were more about fucking and not talking to that person ever again, but as much as he wanted you, he wouldn’t break his own heart by having too much hope for something he couldn’t possibly have. You loving him is impossible.

He sighed as he felt a sudden heavy weight on his heart. His throat slightly chocked up. He shook away those thoughts and decided to just distract himself with his friends, the weather, other girls maybe too…

hi! can you talk more about the significance of the biological concept of species? I'm a nonhuman who currently believes that species can't exactly be interpreted the way gender is, but I lack the vocabulary and knowledge in ecology to properly communicate that lol, so I thought I would ask you as an alterhuman in science! no worries if you don't feel like answering this ask :3

ooh i can definitely talk about that, yeah!! i was meaning to make a post like this since forever, so thanks for giving me the excuse!

so, i want to begin by emphasizing that species identity is a very real concept that should be always respected. of course, im an otherkin myself, so i dont think anyone ever doubted it in the first place, but i wanted to make myself clear anyways. species-diverse folks are the species they say they are, regardless of ones own beliefs. if a dog therian says theyre a dog physically, i believe them. if someone who looks like a human to me insists theyre not human at all, i believe them. if someone tells me, an atheist, that theyre a god or an angel, i believe them. and if someone says they can transform into a unicorn-dragon-zombie with robot wings through fucking magic, i believe them. so, now that that is clear, lets begin.

traditionally, species were classified based on their morphological characteristics, that is, their physical appearance. while this method was effective at first, it quickly became too unreliable (as evidenced by the many bird species that look almost the same, and dog breeds that, despite their physical differences, belong to the same species), so scientists began categorizing species based on their reproductive compatibility, specifically whether they could interbreed and whether their offspring were fertile. so, for example, iguanas and monitor lizards are incapable of interbreeding (different species), whereas donkeys and horses can produce mules, which are sterile (different species, same genus). finally, dogs and wolves can interbreed and they produce fertile offspring (same species, Canis lupus). nowadays, we classify species via phylogenetic analysis, which looks for similarities in DNA chains, though this method also presents its own problems as described by @nisaetus-nerd in this post.

now, why is species identity different from gender identity? well, for starters, species is more akin to biological sex than to gender. aside from the fact that the majority of the population takes species identity to be some kind of hilarious joke, species, just like sex, has some physical characteristics that (for now at least) cannot be changed. the category that we know as sex is actually a combination of chromosomes, reproductive organs (internal and external), external characteristics, hormones, (not relevant to humans but) pheromones, and reproductive cycles; similarily, species is a combination of many things, including DNA, physiology, morphology, diet, ecology, and behavior, among others.

its also important to point out that within the different sexes that exist in the human species there arent that many variations from one another; humans dont actually have a ton of sexual dimorphism (at least compared to freaks of nature (affectionate) like birds of paradise) and many of the differences between sexes that society highlights don't actually exist (think "female brain vs. male brain"). sex, at least in my opinion, isnt that important outside of reproductive health, so not many problems arise from simply throwing it out the window.

meanwhile, we do use species for a lot of things! as a vet in training, this is especially important when treating different animals; you wouldnt use the same drugs for a dog as you would for a horse, nor would you give the same food to a cow as you would to a pig. species are too different from each other, especially the further down the phylogenetic tree you go. you can actually use similar drugs for a dog and a human being, because we evolved together and have a similar physiology, but the same cant be said about chickens. most mammals heal their bones in a similar way (only difference i can think of, aside from the drugs, is the fact that you have to protect the bandages so they dont rip them off), but when it comes to, say, a bird of prey, thats an entirely different story. not to mention bees! they dont even have bones!!

(species have other uses outside of health of course, thats only what i specialize in. someone who studies ecology, or zoology, or genetic engineering, or any other field of biology would give you a different answer than mine. this is only my point of view, which i admit is kind of limited)

so! to wrap up this extremely long post, i want to stress once more that we need a term to express the experience of species identity, similar to how gender is discussed in transgender communities. species identity is not the same as biological species, and its crucial to be able to freely describe this experience with our own vocabulary. the way things are, biological species is too important of a concept to dismiss its meaning entirely, which is why we often face ridicule and skepticism when discussing it outside of alterhuman circles. the way we define "species" in our community (in which species = identity) is quite different from how most people usually understand the term (in which species = biology), and i think this misunderstanding is in part what leads to doubt when we talk about our experiences with others. so by changing the way we talk about species identity, we could get more people to understand what we really mean, instead on assuming based on the words we use.

the thing is that i want people to care for me but i struggle to make the bonds that make that thing happen in the first place . that and also the other people at therapy just dgaf. i dont know how to make a difference between putting myself on a pedestal (thinking that i deserve priority bc i do not) and just staying put and hoping to get addressed since its a guided group . the second one also implies trying to relate to very different problems of people that i know there but do not know outside. that probably goes both ways for the others too and it's a question of temperament who gets to do the talking and driving the conversation

had my therapy group today and didnt even get a chance to speak thats great man .somwtimes i want to be the one who gets the advice too
