The Window in The Attic - Art and A Little Ghost Story 2/2 by Annabelle & M Via Flickr: I found a place to hide from the world — a room with a view of the golf course in front of my home. I pretend we don't live in a sleepy community but in the countryside, alone with nature. The rain had woken me from a dreamless sleep; the cool air in the room that had come in from outside suggested autumn soon would come. The old lace curtains fluttered and lifted gently in the breeze, casting strange shadows on the wall. Alone- inside the attic room, I watched the rain pitter-patter on the window panes. The door creaked open, Bat; my black cat peaked around, jumped up to the window sill and calmly sat. He looked at the green landscape but was fascinated by a white light that danced in front. The room was quiet, save for the soft rustling of the curtains and the distant chirping of birds carrying on the wind. The rain had stopped. All was calm and then. I thought I might have seen a lace-wearing candlelit cat spook. The candle's flame flickered wildly and then, with a soft puff, went out.

Inktobertale - Challenge #7 “Ocean”

Finally finished, a bit late but better late than never^^.

When I think of the ocean, the wild sea with its strong waves immediately comes to mind. And while a big storm rages above, it is rather calm under water (at least it seems so). You sink deeper and deeper, it is cold and dark. So dark that you can no longer see your hand in front of your face. That' s the "dark zone" ("abyssopelagial zone"). It is 6000 meters below sea level and it is never warmer than 4 degrees. But at the same time it is full of bright, bizarre looking animals (frogfish, jellyfish, fanfish and many more)! It's fascinating that in a seemingly endless darkness, there is still a whole other world! That's what I wanted to portray in the comic.

Also : You can't see it clearly, but the thing in the lower part is the negative magic. It had closed around Nightmare's "soul" when he ate the dark fruits (that's why it's shaped like an apple). Now this hard, rusty shell is beginning to burst and the true core is reappearing.

WHY?

I created this blog because in my personal blog I'm too afraid to write everything I really think or feel. Also, because I don't want to be judged. Writing is just such a release, when I feel like I'm going to explode with thoughts, ideas, memories, hopes, dreams and fears, I need a place where I can just pour it all out without caring who is going to read it. That's it. This will be a whole lot of mental diarrhea. I will not force it. I will only write when I absolutely have to. That's what this is for. I will probably also post other random stuff here and there, even pictures, but you'll never see my face or know who I am. How fun!

Inktobertale - challenge 2021 #2 “Price”

I present: the Japanese wish spirit, Ink.

I didn't quite know what to do about "price" at first, until I remembered the well-known phrase "all magic comes with a price" from "once upon a time". At first I wanted to paint Ink as a normal Gini, but since he is inspired by the Japanese, I adapted his design accordingly:

- Old rice hat with a seal, on which the Japanese kanji for "spirit" is written. - As clothing a whole kimono (multilayered top) - Instead of color test tubes, small old Japanese sake bottles - Otherwise, small bells and actually a bit of makeup (which I forgot)

Story: Ink's greatest wish was to change his monotonous life. One day he expressed this wish to a ghost, who then transformed Ink into a wishing spirit himself. The price was his soul. --> That's why I drew his kimono open at the top. Maybe it's part of the deal that he can't hide his soullessness.

Hey everyone! I'm sorry for being so inactive lately. It's been a rough week and I'm glad to be able to write this post today. I hope to have some more time to look at other content and respond to comments soon. I will upload the posts for Inktobertale Challenge 8 and 9 as soon as possible, but for today it was very important for me to upload the post for Day 10. I hope you enjoy reading and happy birthday Cross Sans.

There is even a story to this post! (Actually, I wanted to make a short film out of it, but I have neither the knowledge, nor the time, nor the means. Maybe I'll do that sometime later):

Ink was alone in the Antivoid. Error had simply tied him up with his cords after a small scuffle and hung him from his ceiling. He then went off to vent his rage on other AUs.While Ink hangs out in the Antivoid, he tries to relieve his boredom by counting the souls Error has collected and looking at his doll collection. In between, he even sees a black glitching figure in the distance! He calls for help, but the other can't hear him and eventually disappears through a portal again. An eternity has passed when Ink realizes that something is wrong with his vision. The whole world around him seems to turn gray. At first he panics, but then he quickly realizes the cause of the problem: "Oh, of course! My colors are starting to lose their effect! A little earlier than usual..." As he tries to reach for his color belt, it doesn't work, Errors shackles hold him firmly in his uncomfortable position. "This is not good... B-but don't worry about it! I'm sure Error will be back soon! I-I mean, what are the chances he'd leave someone alone in HIS Antivoid for any length of time! Right?" A long, long time later. Error comes back through a portal into his Antivoid. He shouts triumphantly that he has just destroyed another AU, and asks Ink provocatively how he can reconcile not stopping him with his conscience. And how he feels now. When he gets no answer, he looks to the spot where he left Ink last time, but there hung only a seemingly lifeless, gray figure. Completely limp, she hung by the strings as if she were one of his puppets. Error is offended because Ink had apparently allowed himself a nap. He loosens the strings and lets him hit the floor hard. Still no reaction. Error does not trust the situation and speaks loudly to Ink to provoke him. "Oh I know what you're up to. You're trying to set me up. First you pretend to be asleep and THEN when I get real close you jump up and yell "HA HA I WAS AWAKE ALL ALONG!". Error said while mimicking Inks high pitched voice and beaming smile. In the next moment Error let his Gaster Blaster appear, ready to fire at Ink. When Ink still didn't move, he stopped his attacks. Only now does he begin to believe that Ink was actually unconscious. As soon as he realizes this, he makes a triumphant scream! He then uses Ink as a puppet to confirm that he is the best. Dresses him up in strange clothes and finally watches other AUs with him, which is where the comic page begins.

I already have an idea of how the story would end, but I would only put it in the short film.
