His behavior was problematic but never once portrayed as romantic at the same time. Katsuki said and did awful abusive things, and he also chose to be better when he was given the chance. If you’re still hung up on chapter 1 Katsuki now then I don’t think you’ve been reading the same story I have.

I can’t speak for everyone, but I’m not shipping Izuku with an irredeemable abuser. I’m shipping him with his most important person. His narrative foil. His childhood friend who made awful mistakes and then made it right when he saw he was wrong. The person Izuku looks up to and strives to emulate, despite their past struggles.

Bakudeku is so good because of how flawed these boys are, and how hard they’ve worked to get over it, and how much they matter to each other after it all

I'm so sorry to say this but, your trauma is not an excuse to dictate what other people can consume in fiction or not.

Your abuser was a proshipper, I'm so sorry you had to endure that, but before being a proshipper, they were, simply, a piece of shit!

The problem is, they'd have been a piece of shit whether they consumed that kind of content or not. People are not black and white. You don't exclusively consume content that you think is right to replicate in real life (you would leave like 90% of anime and fiction out that way), nor do you suddenly start think problematic content is okay to replicate just because you consume it already.

What you experienced is horrible. It was wrong and I'm so so sorry you had to endure that, I really fucking am. But this, applying your trauma-born logic to a bigger population and liking a bunch of strangers online to your abuser because of the media they consume, is not how you cope or deal with the situation.

Crotuna. I feel like it was a little more popular back then than it is now, but definitely it's more rare and unexceptionable than it should.

Maybe I'm the problem, because I ship it based on my own headcanons and canon interpretation, lol. I headcanon them to have been kismesis in the past, before Mituna's accident, and that after that Mituna just forgot about it but Cronus didn't.

For the fandom, I think most people don't like it because it's an abuser x victim ship, or because they don't like Mituna and/or Cronus as characters.
