#Action Figure Update

More assorted doodles, studies, and sketches (Apologies-heavy version) that I decided to throw some color on... because I could!

I’ve been wanting the GI Joe Classified Cover Girl figure ever since she was announced. Then I was a little worried because of some quality control issues that seemed to be popping up with her face printing being off. So, when I finally ordered her and she arrived, I was really eager to see if she was going to have a “good” face or if her eyes were going to be all over her forehead or her mouth down on her chin, etc.

I sloooowly slid her out of the windowless packaging, hoping that she was going to look good. Annnnnd this is what she looked like.

Pro: Her face looks lovely, the paint apps are super clean. All in all, a very nice figure! 😎👍

Con: That’s not Cover Girl. That’s the Baroness. 👎😐

Yes, it finally happened to me. I got got by a figure swapper. They were very good at it, too. I checked the tape before I cut it and the top and bottom looked very clean and intact. I honestly don’t know how they got it open, swapped the figure (and her accessories) and sealed it back up so well. 🤷‍♀️

Ah well. I returned her (I actually already have that Baroness) and decided to go with finding Cover Girl as an open box deal through a seller instead, so I could see exactly what I was buying instead of rolling the dice again.

I won an auction (for less than the original Cover Girl, yay 💖) and she’s on her way to me as we speak! This is what she’s supposed to look like...

Soooo, fingers crossed! 🤞😣🤞 Will update once she arrives!

UPDATE: WOW, literally 20 minutes after I posted this... She arrived earlier than expected!

YAY, I’m so happy to have her at last! She, like most of my other GI Joe Classified figures, will be joining my Halo gang as UNSC marines or various other character stand-ins, etc. 😉 💖💖💖

NEW FIGURES! 7/14/2022

From Left to Right:

Of note, that Sasha - Yes, I know it's atrocious. But it's also likely going to be the final Sasha Banks figure we ever get from the WWE.

On Bianca: I have two Elite Biancas that are far better than this but I have a burning need to own every Bianca figure, elite or basic, so this one is added to the collection now.

Also, I have a much better Rock figure than that which is my primary display piece, but I bought this Rock for the shirt which will be going on a Shane figure for a quick and dirty Attitude Era custom

Anyway, just wanted to share today's haul. There is one additional figure not shown - yet another Elite 91 Kevin Owens figure. I'm just stockpiling them at this point for later custom usage. Also, seeing as how each E91 comes with two pairs of hands, it means that for every one I buy, I can retrofit one of my older figs with a proper left hand. (Do NOT get me started on the ass-pain that is Kevin's figure's left hands.)

Update to #14

As promised, I caved & bought more gear for SKSA* Stanfield. Three things, specifically.

Firstly, a ballistic vest. By the 1990's, the technologies to create usable body armor able to be issued to most soldiers was available. While it certainly wouldn't stop a rifle round, pistol rounds were fair game & it sure was better than nothing.

This particular model is based off body armor used by LAPD SWAT teams during the same time period, so I figured it wasn't far off the mark. Not to mention marines wore them during urban warfare exercises in the 90's.

From modern to straight up old school, I replaced the M-16A2 with its virtual antithesis, the M-14. Over eight pounds of wood furniture, steel parts & 20 rounds of 7.62mm. While the Navy did have the newer rifles in its inventory, armed watches don't need the very best weapon. Really just a case of good enough. Finally, we have his cover

This is an interesting one. CVN-75 is certainly a real ship, but it's called the USS Harry S Truman (below).

It was originally going to be named the USS United States but during the construction of the ship it was decided to adhere to the president model that was established with other carriers. The design for the cover was likely made in between this period & nobody bothered to change it.

Now, to that asterisk. I formerly called him an LS, or Logistics Specialist. LS is the combination of two rates: Storekeeper & Postal Clerk. Since this combination happened in 2009, after the time SKSA Stanfield is supposed to be living in, I have to use the older rate.

So there you have it! One freshly equipped sailor ready to stand watch.

my main goal in life right now is prioritizing my peace and minimizing stress that I can control.

so I don't need all that.

I'm ready to share my own art.

I'm deleting some of my lewd posts on my page starting today, I know what I want to do with this page now. I want to share more of my own art and that's toy photography it might not be the hottest thing here on the internet but it's something I really like to do more of. I spend all this time on here sharing stuff I didn't make and getting hundreds of likes while I could've taken full advantage of things I create on here or on Instagram it's gonna be a challenge for sure. but it's a challenge I'm willing to accept. If you guys are not into toys or action figures. Feel free to unfollow me. but if some of you still rocking with me that's cool too.
