Like the skill at aiming, the protection on his mind, and a way for him to be found if he was ever taken again is the exact kind of blessing that Percy would appreciate most and Artemis would know that. The perfect “carry my brother was a protective idiot” gift.

Not to mention how crazy this would make HOO era when Hera tries to going him for a second time after seeing how well the first one worked only for Artemis herself to show up where she was going to stash Percy (in a magical coma but unfortunately still with his memories as Hera couldn’t take them no matter how hard she tried) incredibly unamused that her blessed hero was snatched by another goddess queen or not. Hera is forced to wake Percy and ask through clenched teeth while Artemis watches with silver fire burning in her eyes.

(Percy agrees through equally clenched teeth, as saying no to a goddess really isn’t an option, but at least he keeps his memories and the river can’t wash away Artemis’ blessing like it washed away the curse of Achilles.)

Dear Senator Slotkin and Democrat Party,

For people with middle/upper class backgrounds, and therefore by proxy in possession of a great deal more education & worldly experience than most Americans, you sure are stupid. Compared to most working-class Americans, you're dumber than a bag of rocks.

I've read Republic by Plato multiple times. I've listened to and analyzed hundreds of operas, concerti, ballets, symphonies, sonatas, etc. I've read epic poems like Odyssey and The Aeneid. I play the violin, the harp, and the piano.

Who the hell are YOU to tell working-class Americans like me that we're incapable of understanding fancy academic terms like "oligarchy"? Who are you to say that working-class Americans like me cannot possibly understand what Socrates/Plato meant with his cave allegory, or what he died for when he drunk that poison after being condemned (through democracy) by the city of Athens? Shame on you for thinking so little of poverty-stricken Americans like me! And you wonder why working-class Americans like me aren't jumping at the chance to vote for you? Why should I want to vote for people who talk down to me as if I was an idiot? Why would I want to vote for anyone who believes I'm too stupid to understand basic words like "oligarchy"?

Isn't "demos" a part of your party's name, "Democrat"? "Crat" derives from ancient Greek's word for "power" (and violence), but demos meant "The People"... or something like that, doesn't it? Sorry, my ancient Greek is a little rusty on account of the fact that like most working-class Americans, neither Greek or Latin was offered in my severely underfunded public school. I didn't learn about Beethoven, Wagner, or Shostakovich from public school. You think my school taught me about ancient Sumeria/Akkadia? No, I had to learn ancient history, mythology, and classical music all on my own time (with no thanks to liberal politicians like you, who'd rather blame Republicans for my poor education than take any action yourself to fix the damn problems...)

How DARE you call yourself a Democrat, a representative of The People, when you insult our intelligence with so much classist determination? You're no Democrat, but rather just another sellout fool striving to maintain a corrupt capitalist status quo that's designed to keep working-class Americans like myself at the bottom of the American class system. ehhh, not really. it’s one of those “not for me” ships, i suppose. i think that pony and curly are definitely friends tho who get themselves into a fair amount of trouble, but honestly to me like…pony feels wayyyy too young to be shipping with anybody in my opinion. maybe if we’re talking about the That Was Then and This is Now timeline then sure, i can see him being with someone (since i think that it takes place a whole year later…idk i haven’t read TWTTIN, i just read the parts w pony in them lmao—been meaning to read that but i gotta finish my school books first…still got two more going lmao, the english book i’m reading is really good but that’s a different topic!!)

ANYWAY back to the topic at hand…no. i don’t really ship pony with anyone—i prefer him and curly much more as friends. i don’t quite ship anything in this fandom, save stevepop, but that’s just cause they’re dynamic intrigues me, and i don’t really feel that click with any other ship, yknow?

Note: her 12 inch/50 caliber Mark 8 gun turrets have already been removed. They were removed in preparation for Hawaii would have become an Aircraft Carrier Task Force Command Ship, under SCB-83 and her hull designation changed to (CBC-1). Unlike the proposed ballistic and guided missile conversions, this conversion was budgeted in 1952.

"This was as parallel to this program was a project to convert the unfinished Oregon City class heavy cruiser NORTHAMPTON (CLC-1) (later CC-1, ex-CA-125) to a National Emergency Command Post Afloat (NECPA). The NECPA program command ship (NORTHAMPTON) was where the US President and his Staff would direct US Military Forces during a nuclear conflict."

"Command and control of USN carrier forces during WWII was generally conducted from a standard vessel of the Task Force, with either a battleship or a carrier usually designated as flagship. But the presence of the force commander and his staff aboard was disruptive and resulted in overcrowded conditions, which impacted the combat effectiveness of the assigned ship. But with the superiority of the dedicated Amphibious Command Ship (AGC) concept for command and control of assault forces repeatedly demonstrated during WWII. Serious postwar consideration was given to the concept of a similar dedicated type of ship for Command and Control of Carrier Task Forces. In keeping with this concept in 1952 the USN developed the SCB-83 project to convert the HAWAII into a dedicated Carrier Task Force Command Cruiser (CBC-1). This design was strictly intended as a single mission ship featuring extensive flag facilities for command and control of carrier task forces, but no accommodations for amphibious or other types of operations.

The ship would have been armed with six 5 inch/54 caliber guns in single mounts, shipped three forward and three aft, with eight 3 inch/70 caliber guns in four enclosed twin mounts amidships. It would have fitted an AN/SPS2 radar atop a forward tower and an AN/SPS8A height finder on the aft superstructure. There was to be an SK-2 parabolic dish for tropospherical backscatter communications mounted atop short tower aft of the stack, forward of the AN/SPS8A. Two Mk37/directors with Mk25 fire control radars were provided on the superstructure fore and aft. The superstructure was built up amidships to accommodate the flag staff facilities and the single stack of the original CB design retained."

Work was halted after the turrets were removed and would continue after experience was gained from the conversion of NORTHAMPTON. However, it was discovered that it was easier and cheaper to convert USS WRIGHT (CVL-49) into the second Command ship without the loss of capability and HAWAII was sent back to the reserve fleet in Philadelphia Navy Yard.

The hull remained in the reserve fleet for 12 years before it was finally scrapped along with the incomplete hulls of KENTUCKY (BB-66) and ILLINOIS (BB-65).

On January 20, 1898, Princeton University alum George White, Class of 1894, was dropped off on a remote Alaskan shore alongside other prospectors in the Klondike Gold Rush. They set forth on a 30-mile journey on foot through the Chilkoot Pass that would ultimately take three months. Unlike most prospectors, White succeeded in finding the minerals he sought.

Hello,

Democrats, no one gives a damn about the "middle class". Stop talking about the middle class, because working-class Americans don't give a damn about them, and we never will. Screw the middle class! They're a bunch of spoiled lazy brats who wouldn't last two weeks without the slave power they depend on from working-class Americans like myself. I have not served coffee to any middle-classer in years, and I never will again. I would rather be free than just another indentured wageslave peasant whose sole purpose in life is serving middle-classers who're too lazy to do any real work themselves. 

Classist bigots, all of you! And you wonder why working-class Americans were so disgusted with you that they just chose not to vote at all in 2024? Look in the damn mirror, you educated idiots... you're the problem! Trump is just a symptom of centuries of classist bigotry boiling over.

You know what working-class Americans like me want to hear from Democrats like Senator Slotkin? I want to hear something like "Working-class people need this and Democrats are going to do this..." or "We're going to do this and this for the working class, because the working class is VERY important to Democrat success blah blah blah...." or just mention the working-class sometimes, because you liberals never do mention us in your big fancy speeches that you expect us to sit through (even when they're more boring and patronizing than a bag of rocks).

Spoiler alert- I'm not voting for a Democrat EVER AGAIN. Not until you rich liberals stop being a bunch of stupid classist bigots with sticks up your bums who snub your noses at anyone who's never been within a 50-mile radius of an Ivy League school, DC, San Francisco, New York, or Seattle. Get your privileged heads out of ivy league and private clubhouses (where most Americans aren't welcome because they're too poor), and instead go talk to regular Americans who've never gone to college. You Democrats need to talk to regular Americans over cheap drip coffee in local coffee shops, because most Americans drink drip coffee (not expensive lattes from Starbucks). You want our votes, don't you? 

What's the matter? You're too much of a classist bigot to spend 15 minutes talking to one of the peasants you're wanting votes from? Hmmm... it's gonna be a real challenge for Democrats to regain power in congress if they keep disrespecting and infantilizing poor Americans like myself through classist rhetoric like what Senator Slotkin keeps displaying. I guess you guys really do want Trump to just stay in power, huh? 

Oh well, bring on the concentration camps then because the Democrats are too classist to develop the class they need to defeat the classist prejudice inherent in American society that prompted a Trump victory in the first place. *sigh*
