Luis explains to me how this book is one of his favorite isekai series they’ve ever read. Also informs me about the traumas of being sucked into a video game.

Who Am I?
First Blog on this website... So let's start at who I am. You can call me what my username is, or just call me Mav for short. I'm 16, male, Asian, and no.. Not looking for a relationship. I'm in 11th grade STEM class writing on this blog for E-tech... What's next?... Let me just start with my hobbies. Playing Games: It all started when I was 3 or 4, when my dad had me sat on his lap and play my first game, "Feeding Frenzy". It's a game where you control this fish and you eat other fish to grow into a bigger fish which is the main premise of the game which I loved playing. It then branched out to other genres which was kid-friendly at first: Putt-Putt, Jumpstart, Bookworm Adventures. Then that's where things changed after waking up one morning when I was 5, Dad was playing this racing car game which looked better than Jumpstart Advanced 1st Grade or Putt-Putt enters the race. It was Need for Speed: Carbon. (Fun fact: It was this game that I learned how to use the keyboard...well the arrows which then switched to "aswd" and it was because of this that it took 7 years to correct my hand placement since I had one that I was comfortable with when playing the NFS series). It then branched to other genres which were other NFS titles like Most Wanted, COD (MW3 and B0), RTS games like Total War and Empires, Open-World games like Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Overlord, KOA: Reckoning and just a little bit of DA. It was a fun childhood though most of these games lost their flair after a couple years. One last thing about games. Just after Covid19 started, I was looking for more games to play and I stumbled upon Osu well... more like watched a god tier gamer in YT have insane reaction speed. Tried it, sucked at standard so I switched to Mania and man, did I do good on that Easy map so I kept playing till after 2 years. Here's my acc if anyone's interested: https://osu.ppy.sh/users/19218817. That's it for this game hobby that I have, moving on. Reading/Watching Fiction: I'm a huge nerd of fiction. Dad is a huge nerd of it as well. So let's repeat again. Dad, huge fan of Star Wars, had 6 year old me look into it. Didn't like it since the movies were all "prequel of the sequel of the yadda yadda" fast forward a few years, Hobbit came out, had me interested, went with my dad to the cinemas to watch, remarked the LOTR trilogy was better, watched that after, told me to read tolkien's instead, read the hobbit instead cause tolkien's was too long, Dad discovered LitRpg, didn't notice anything, only after a few months did I notice him using his phone a bit too much, I asked and found out E-books. It was a rough start, trying to read LitRpg since most of them were harems and such but a few good ones started to come out. Aleron Kong's The Land Series and Michael Chatfield's Emirilia Series, go check them out. Moving on.
Exercise: Did a little Taekwondo(Red belt), stopped for a few years, Went gym.
That's it for hobbies. Just gonna put a few Interests here and there. Music: Mainly emo rock. Bands like MCR, Panic!ATD before he went pop, paramore and more. See what I did there? Food: Anything that isn't shrimp paste. That's it, Thank you for reading. *gonna add stuff if I can think of more things to put in*

Pokemon Sleep
Cramorant release week. Only saw one and it was full before I could befriend it so didn't get any.
New Sleep Styles: Bonsly 4*, Cramorant 2* - Gobbling Sleep
New Befriend: Shiny Doduo
Pretty sure I evolved something this week but I forgot to write it down. Arbok maybe?
Leveled up a Wobbuffet to get my first Tasty Mushroom. I think I'm gonna hold off on making dishes with it though.
Rank B this week. -1 Star on both duration and midpoint. Really did not have a good week of sleep this week. It was hotter than it has been so I had trouble getting to sleep.
Final Fantasy V
Finished my first run for this year's FFVFJF. Party was full of glass cannons (blm, sum, dnc, dnc) so I breezed through it pretty quickly. Managed to take down Shinryu as well. Omega was way too annoying to try to deal with though.
Second run is Ninja, Berserker, Bard, and Chemist. This run is going to be fairly straightforward.
The Land
Wanted to read again so started rereading The Land series by Aleron Kong. Already on Book 5 on this reread.

How Aleron Kong shot himself in the foot by going after other authors.
One of the most successful LitRPG authors recently proclaimed he was the “founder of American LitRPG”.  While I think many of the other authors took that statement as a marketing ploy, apparently Aleron Kong wasn’t in the same mindset.  He went and tried to not only trademark the term “LitRPG” but he decided to try and go after authors using it.
I’ve discussed here how important social media is to the success of authors, and apparently when his claims went viral last year, for being what is termed as a “coypright troll” his following, and social media presence as a whole turned sour.
Kong’s legal battle went viral on platforms such as Reddit, twitter, and I ran into it myself when I was looking through the LitRPG forum site I post on with other authors.  Aleron’s popularity has taken a nosedive, and even the teasers of his supposed new work after not publishing for nearly two years hasn’t gotten much traction.   This is often because of the practice of “review bombing” where disgruntled fans will in mass express their displeasure on reviews of books on publishing outlets such as Amazon and the like.
Aleron has since become a very good case study in why it’s a bad idea to piss in the water you bathe in so to speak, or in this case attack the other authors in your genre.  He has since tried to distance himself from his “Father of American LitRPG” statements, even removing them from the cover of his promotional material, but the damage has already been done.

Iepalicēji #12
Iepalicēju raksts ir mājvieta gan darba, gan neliela slinkuma dēļ iekavētiem individuāliem rakstiem, gan apzināts galamērķis grāmatām, par kurām pēc to izlasīšanas diži daudz nemaz neatrodas ko teikt.

“Hell yeah,” Silk shouted, throwing both fists in the air. Silence greeted his proclamation. After a few seconds, he realized that unless you are an Asian time traveler who had saved a cheerleader, you just couldn’t pull this stance off.

⭐️ Audible ⭐️
I used to read a lot when I had the time but adulting makes it harder every year. Thanks to Audible, audio books are giving me life at work and my 1.5 hour commute back and forth.
I’m probably on my 12th audio book and there were some good and not-so-good ones but I have the good recommendations below if you like rpg/fantasy books!
The Land by Aleron Kong (7 book series going on 8)
The Ritualist by Dakota Krout (3 book series)
Life Reset by Shemer Kuznits (3 book series going on 4)
World of Warcraft: War Crimes by Christie Golden
The Village of Noobtown by Ryan Rimmel (2 book series)
World of Warcraft: Before The Storm by Christie Golden
The Infernal City by Greg Keys (based on Skyrim)
World of Warcraft: Traveler by Greg Weisman
World of Warcraft: Dawn of the Aspects by Richard A. Knaak (the true story of the father of dragons - Galakrond)
The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski (based on The Witcher)
The Witches of Eileanan by Kate Forsyth
I’ll keep this list updated when I finish new books and please recommend any of your favorites to me as well!
