//Alex doesn’t get too many days off from work I imagine, work being their DHOW science stuff along with episodes of Keeping Up With The Starks. But! When they do have enough free time, they like to spend it in the woods with their guitar.

//I imagine they write a lot of their own songs and definitely had a little garage band with Taylor and Calvin in high school, though Calvin dipped and Taylor still dabbles here and there with the keyboard. For the most part though, it’s just Alex and their guitar, plus some sheet music as they mess around. Their style is definitely midwestern emo with lots of inspo from TFB, and they like to play for friends but haven’t done so in a long time. Calvin wants to monetize their music, but they like keeping it to themselves. This is for fun after all <3

I’ve got the new protagonist categories:

1. Character that started enthusiastic about plot events and stayed that way - James T Kirk, Ella Lopez, Parker, Sophie Deveraux, Jesper Fahey

2. Character that started enthusiastic about plot events, then became more cynical over time -Eragon, Frodo, Sansa Stark, Harry Potter, Hermione Granger

3. Character who always knew they were a protagonist, and the events of the plot are literally their job - Holly Short, Jace Herondale, Buffy Summers, Inej Gafa

4. Character who would learned about what the plot would be, and would have preferred not to touch that shit with a 50 foot pole - Alex Rider, Percy Jackson, Maximum Ride, Geralt, Jon Snow

5. The protagonist who is shaping the plot explicitly for profit, spite, and to cause other people problems - Kaz Brekker, Artemis Fowl, Yennefer

I have a working theory that you could sort groups of main characters from one fandom into each category, but for now it’s a hodgepodge of media I enjoy.
