a power of peace and healing//your bones run strong
I spent a very long time trying to work out a Stone design and I'm still not settled! I'm sure like my other humanizations of Fallen London entities, I'll come up with a few <3

Bingo @ Janus: OOOH you have pretty eyes! They almost look like they’re made of something. Like beads! Are they beads?
"Why thank you! I take a lot of time to keep em' polished and shiny. On the topic of shiny, your fur is real pretty. Make sure you take good care of it to keep it healthy!"
"You've got a good eye there kiddo, they are beads, jade beads to be exact! Technically they're my real body and are where all my power is stored, but luckily for me I can manifest using my abilities and take on a bunch of different shapes. I like this one the best, but there are a lot of fun ones. Maybe I'll even take on the form of an eevee soon, haha!"

no joke, it warms the cockles of my heart that there are other ppl besides myself who find big jack horner attractive. I'm wayyyy too old and tired to deal with dweebs who balk at ppl being attracted to fictional characters... esp unconventional ones. (I'll level with ya: the whole "tumblr sexyman" phenomenon spurring from the whole "oh no these ppl we assume to be girls like a thing and that's just dumb" is why i don't like it, there really isn't an equivalent for female characters, anything that centers cis straight male attraction is bad in my book, but that's too complicated to discuss rn)
it's a pleasant surprise after old fandom garbo and feeling like i was cringe for liking the characters that i did. (ok they were often small fandoms, but still)
well. i don't really participate in fandom in the ways that i used to anymore, and cringe is dead.
no cringe, (self-) ship free of shame and embarrassment. draw yourself kissing your fav cartoon character. chase your bliss, haters can stay mad a fictional triangle-shaped purple man with a tiny face has more game than they do.

YEAH YEAY OKAY! here we go! welcome to i get to infodump about pens again, yay yippee!
what's the difference between ballpoints, rollerballs, and gel pens?
ballpoints, rollerballs, and gel pens all use a ball-socket mechanism that continuously coats itsself in ink as it rolls across a page. what makes them all different from each other is in the ink composition!!
ballpoint pens have an oil based ink paste. the ink is very thick & requires more pressure to write with, and can get kinda skippy as the tip gets dirty or clogged, but is able to stick to many more surfaces like receipts, plastic, really shitty paper, etc. it can be hard to wash out of things that you get it on, since it's more waterproof than other inks.
one of the neat things about this type of ink is that you're able to shade with it by varying pressure. lots of artists make great use of this!
hybrid or low viscosity ballpoint ink is often just ballpoint ink with an added lubricant to make it write smoother and flow better.
rollerball pens use water based inks. fountain pens, felt tip pens*, and dip pens all usually use water based inks. because of this, rollerballs are very free flowing and rarely clog, but paper choice is more important and some folks can find them to be leaky or overly wet. the writing experience is not as glidey as a gel/ballpoint since the ink is not thick, but it doesn't need a heavy hand. rollerballs enjoy more colour options than ballpoints and can have very dark blacks, but aren't waterproof unless the ink is pigment based instead of dye based.
*felt tip pens feel very different than any of the other pens on this list cause of the soft point, they put out ink in a very even and somewhat dry way, and can also use alcohol inks, like copic markers. alcohol inks soak very deep into the page and dry very fast, and blend very differently. i'm not as familiar with them!
gel pens use inks that are made of pigment suspended in a water based gel. these inks tend to be very thick and put out a wet line that takes a longer time to dry. gel pens are most likely to clog and skip due to this, since the ball is not as evenly coated in a substance so thick. gel pens do have the widest colour options and can be fully opaque (ie. pastels, whites, etc) but are often very frustrating as they clog up and get old and dried out.
as a bonus, true technical pens are a whole different kind of beast and have very specific standardized nib sizes and colours. cad software has largely replaced the need for extremely precise technical drawing, but artists still like pens like the rapidograph! they're made differently everywhere but generally, instead of a ball, there is a small tube of a precise diameter with a little wire inside it that controls the ink flow. they can't be held at a lot of angles and aren't as versatile as other pens, but they put down incredibly crisp lines.
yippee yay pens!! wahoo!!

oh god B!!!!!!!
He's expecting a middle-aged annoying woman but instead a nice sweet girl lands on his lap and he's like: this has to be destiny, right?
And everytime you're doing house chores, you feel Ghosts' eyes silently admiring you and then he makes really weird questions, do you like this tapestry? do you enjoy living here? what about the living room's colour? wanna change it?
after all, you're going to be the future missus of the house, and what's his is also yours.
He expected an old, grumpy and no nonsense lady who'd scoff at him and nag about the state if his modest home, instead Ghost was honestly surprised that instead of an old hag there stands you; clad in a pretty pastel sundress, a suitcase next to you and your small but warm smile on you face. Good God.
Since he can't help but ogle the first thing he notices besides your pretty smile is your figure, curvy and full in all the right places and his eyes espexially fixate on your full hips and thighs.
'God, this is what they call perfect birthing hips huh?' Ghost growls to himself but quickly snaps out of it and introduces himself gruffly. He needs to take a hold of himself or else he'll pop a boner right then and there in the doorway in front of this pretty young lady, his worker, mind you.
He can't help but be a little...cautious for the first week. While he does appreciate having a cute young thing running around his house, he still needs to get shit done and you look like anything but suited to housework with your soft curves, soft skin and pretty manicured nails. Luckily, his judgement was wrong and you ended up the best housekeeper/maid he ever saw, everything is done down to the T, plus his house looks....more lived in if it makes sense? Like it's a home, not just some empty house.
You notice some things too. You like your new boss! He's ex-military from what you know, he's grumpy and gruff but...charming in his own way. His low, growly voice makes a certain warmth appear in your lower belly whoch makes you fluster, not to mention that in the recent weeks he started to be more...affectionate? Touchy?
At first it was just a pat on your back, then he laid his huge paw on your waist when he wanted to squeeze past you in the kitchen. Soon the hand slipped down to lay on your hip amd lower back, not to mention his voice rumbling right next to your head about being 'a good girl' :((
Simon's touches weren't really unwelcome, more like unexpected. Not to mention the strange questions he started asking you on week three; do you enjoy your work? You living here? Do you feels safe here? It's the middle of nowhere lovie, maybe you'd feel more comfortable if you moved into the room right next to his? Do you have a boyfriend or anything like that back home? Oh would you look at that, so you like those flowers huh? And that particular floral pattern?
Simon can see you pout a little (cute) and fluster at his intrusive questions ans he lives for it, but can you blame him? He needs to ask those! If you're gonna become his missus, the future lady Riley who will love and nurture him, cook him nutricious meals and nurse his offspring, he needs to know what you like♡

"Hair dyes or perms or just a quick snip, you can always count on your ol' pal Clip!"
it's about time i officially shared my design for Clip from my hairdresser au! here's the silly boi himself!
a.k.a. the most complicated character i've ever designed...
close ups and additional comments under the cut!
that's my boi, despite his crazy design, i love him. his silly top knot hat, the horn-like points around his faceplate, his speckled colours, his four arms, and his funky pants. he's just soooooo fun.
Clip likes to play games and knit! he even made the patchwork pants he wears (he made Sun and Moon a pair too, but they're too precious for them to wear... also a little gaudy to wear in public—doesn't stop Clip tho!). He actually makes everything the boys wear, since there's not a lot of things in their size/shape.
instead of resting at night, he can be found in their living room, playing Kirby 64 for the nth time and/or knitting something. he's just too restless to stay still, he's always gotta be doing something and if it isn't gaming, knitting, or hairdressing, then he's up to No GoodTM.
Clip... likes popping balloons. he says "Goodnight!" with each popped balloon and once he's done, he tosses up the scraps like confetti all while giggling joyfully.
needless to say, he is not fun at parties. Sun and Moon don't let him near balloons for this reason.
and yes, he has sewing needles on hand at all times. for fashion emergencies... and for unsuspecting balloons.
Clip's not allowed to have a phone (just imagine all the in-app purchases Sun and Moon would have to deal with), but he likes to keep up with his customers and their games, even if he doesn't get their fixation over bluenets he'll never openly admit it but he prefers curly-haired blond hunks that look sweet in soft pastels but could also squash him like the spider he is
also, he's great at microbraiding! though i imagine if Sun and Moon are free, they'd come help to shorten the wait but also to compete and see who braids the most (Clip always wins of course—make anything into a game, and he's winning)
aaaaand there's this! i wanted to make sure Clip would be able to freely rotate his waist so his arms could have their full range of motion, and this was the solution i came up with: a crop top on top and a wrap around his waist. and Clip here is being a sneaky little scamp about it.

How you celebrate the holiday does not matter. You can choose to do any activity that feels right. These are only suggestions and remember that you're enough no matter what.
Also please note some stuff is UPG. A great book is Year of the Witch by Temperance Alden for honouring the celebrations and if you wanted to work more seasonally. It's not Wiccan-based and has plenty of resources for every witch.
Feel free to post how you celebrate in the comments or reblogs!
