for as much as we all joke that Mickey forgot Aqua was in the realm of darkness for 10 years, that's not actually true.
he lost track of her for 10 years. he found her again by sheer accident when he ran in there during the events of KH1. he couldn't go back to save her because he had to shut the door, was trying to help Riku get out of his own predicament, and learned about the organization and what they were doing. he spent a year doing who knows what, ill give you that, but there was a LOT of critical things going on immediately after he learned where Aqua was. bro needs a little leeway, if anything, more people should be mad at yen sid for telling Mickey not to mention Aqua. was it a weird as fuck choice? yes. but "he forgot Aqua for 10 years" is a very far cry from what actually happened

I know it hasn’t been mentioned in a long while, but Koei Tecmos work was pretty good in Samurai Remnant. The twist about the Protagonist was also really well done too. I know this doesn’t reveal much as it’s the same writers who worked on Houses/Hopes, but the main protagonist definitely makes a lot more consistency I feel since all two routes and endings are about Miyamoto Iori, with the last one being about his true nature. Still annoying waifu bait with a fox girl but Iori has zero interest.
I haven't played it, but I have no doubts KT can produce/make good games!
The thing with Nopes (and Fodlan in general) is how FE has traditional themes, and unification/imperialism isn't one of them, ditto with the "earl grey for everyone!" which means you can pick your leader and the games panders so hard to said leader that it forgets its plot.
Izuka is Izuka, Feral Ones aren't forgotten come FE10 because we follow Miccy and Miccy wants to liberate her country - Miccy says fuck to Izuka and his Feral Ones, period. End of the story (until Tibarn/Elincia/Ranulf gets to kill the guy).
Are those changes on KT's door? Given how IS, through Heroes, spinned a retconned Narrative to sell Vero - complete with "sad'n'lonely" and "surprise!brainwash" by a "sad'n'lonely" goddess, I... frankly, don't know.
Engage is a thing, where people take responsibility for the things they did when they were "brainwashed" no matter how "sad'n'lonely" they were (or are roasted for it) - and yet FEH gave us the monstruosity that was the last book, where a time-travelling sexy lady destroys the world because "reasons" compel her to do so, but she loves the player so much : that's the twist. FFS, at the end of the book, we don't even know what were those "reasons" that compelled her to destroy the world, or the snakes who pushed her to do it, the suppsoed "mastermind" was killed off-screen, and the most important thing at the end is how past present and future are merged to simp together after the avatar.
yay.
And yet, given how Fodlan plays and how Nintendo actually sent surveys to people who played FE16 something they never did (not for Engage!) before for the FE series (afaik) - I wonder who is to "blame" for Fodlan's writing, IS, KT, a mix of the two?
The lack of care (which becomes obvious when you compare FE16 to the precedent and following entry) isn't something IS has usually shown (I mean, Nopes' dev said he forgot parts of FE16 when he played the game ffs! No continuity guy in FE16?!?) - KT and IS's precendent collaboration was the first Warrior game, so why Nopes came out so... well, like it did?
If there is one definite thing I can complain and lay at KT's door though, it's the models (they're fucking ugly) and whoever decided to swap Rhea/Seiros's unique moveset (I mean have you seen her animations in FE16 when she's in her Saint class??) for a swordmaster on steroids.

The idea that Bran doesn’t want Winterfell shows they haven’t read Mr ‘I’m the prince. I’m the Stark in Winterfell.’s chapters. Even if he does somehow end up king of the 7k he’s going to need to rule from Winterfell. When we say he’s the North’s King Arthur it isn’t hyperbole. It’s not about muh favorite needing a crown, his connection to Winterfell and the North as a whole is such an important part of his story but the fandom, including stark fans who claim to love him, completely ignore it.
I know it's mostly because the show handled Bran's character so poorly, but it is insane to me that Bran becoming King in any capacity is seen as ridiculous by the majority of fandom. While he is far from being the character with the most leadership experience, he was the Stark in Winterfell and spent an entire book learning about his duties as such. The groundwork is there. And even without that, like you said, he has an incredibly strong connection to Winterfell. The show just...entirely erased that part of his character so that Sansa would have less competition. None of the characters becoming a leader is about having a crown as a status symbol either. That's definitely going to be different in the books.
As for him becoming the King of the 7K, I do actually think there's a chance he could end up ruling from KL. It's hard to base off the show because they did such a godawful job but I think it could happen. There is so much for Bran's character with Winterfell though that I think he has to have a least one big moment there before the story ends.

hhhhhhhhhhhh saboace royalty au. ace was crown prince but can’t use magic which is necessary to become king, so he renounces his title and becomes infamous for his eccentric tendencies to play up the illusion that he’s truly not meant for the throne and that his younger sibling has full rights to the title of heir.
sabo is born to a family serving in the royal court, has been a genius magician since he was a child, and is the perfect example of a young man fully educated to serve at the king’s side. which is why he’s allowed himself to be tied down into a loveless political engagement with the king’s heir, putting the whims of his family before his own and resigning himself to become the future ruler’s consort/spouse to legitimize his role as an advisory right-hand man.
but then the heir grows rebellious and denounces the engagement with sabo in public and ace swoops in to save the day (and sabo’s reputation), demanding his father give sabo to him instead. he steals sabo away and challenges his sibling’s right to the throne, intent on earning back the title not for himself, but so he can make sabo (who is heavily qualified to rule) the king - and since they’ll be wed, no one will be able to undermine sabo’s position as he will technically be part of the monarchy that governs the kingdom.
