ok i really really really enjoyed watching the first two episodes and i think the show is already so faithful to the books in ways the movies wished they were BUT i’m gonna be a bitch just because i can and rant about a few insignificant but at the same time very important Things the writers didn’t Understand:
percy is angry.
and i know this is seen with his anger towards poseidon in the show, but i’m talking angry. as in, generally speaking. when he’s with grover and they’re talking about nancy, percy says something along the lines of “we should fight back,” and grover’s like “noooo we can’t stand up to bullies.” and then percy stands up to her and blah blah blah…but in the books percy’s first line is “i’m going to kill her” after she throws a sandwich at grover. grover talks him out of it because he’s already on probation.
with just this scene we know percy stands up to bullies, and that’s partly why he has so much trouble at school! in the show, he stands up to nancy, apparently for the first time, and gets kicked out because of it! sorry but as someone who worked in a school, i know for a fact that kids can get away with so much more before they’re actually kicked out lol. it would’ve made sense, like in tlt, that he’s already at risk of suspension so him “pushing” nancy is the final straw. it’s just very weird, considering it could be only a line of dialogue that makes percy’s anger and the connection between his outburst and him getting kicked out more clear.
consequently, percy arrives at his appartment and gabe is just a general (still admittedly abusive) jerk instead of a drunk, violent (also abusive) man. when we meet gabe, it makes a lot of sense why percy has so much trouble with his anger. it’s easy to see that connection. literal child + alcoholic abusive father figure = there’s bound to be some trouble….that’s not really the case in the show, especially in the way that sally easily stands up to him. people have said a fair bit about this topic already, so i’m not gonna expand on that, but i really wish the writers had focused more on percy’s internal anger, as it’s such an important part of his character and affects the way he reacts to things throughout the books; it just worries me that in the first episode it wasn’t as established. i. e. he hates dionysus on sight because he reminds him of smelly gabe, he hates the gods—is angry at poseidon—because, where was he when my mom and i were suffering at the hands of smelly gabe? ok i’m not gonna talk about more of this or of sally because other people have said it and i could write a four page essay of what the show got wrong plus i want to talk abt other things before this gets too long:
the monster scenes.
the mrs. dodds being a fury reveal felt sooo…weird? even the movie version did it better lol. it felt super rushed and strange how percy’s just standing there and the next he’s on the ground, but he had riptide with him so he just impaled her and then she turned to dust??? in the books, not only does she get percy alone, but grover tries to stand up to her—which is a big deal since he knows what she truly is and shows how much he cares for percy in that moment. percy has time to be genuinely terrified bc he’s alone with a literal monster and he’s about to die…and chiron throws him riptide just in time, but then he too vanishes so percy’s left wondering if he imagined everything. but no, in the show mrs. dodds comes out of nowhere and attacks him, and it’s so fast that percy doesn’t have time to dwell on wtf happened. the situation doesn’t seem as serious as it does in the book; in the book she tries to interrogate percy bc she thinks he’s the lightning thief, and when she doesn’t get her answer, she attacks him. this is another thing: the stakes. they don’t feel as high in the show because there’s no annabeth trying to ask percy what was stolen, no hellhound, no fates cutting a string, and no alecto/mrs. dodds interrogation. there’s not much of a lead up to the quest, really.
theeen the minotaur scene, which also feels super weirdly paced and there’s just not that same sense of urgency. again, other people have talked about this, so i’ll just stick to another main concern of mine: grover’s role in the scene. it was so strange how in the book he’s semi unconscious and in the show he’s fine (so fine that sally does something completely out of character and makes grover swear to keep percy safe? she would never put that much pressure in a child???) ok so he seems fine in the show, but then when they’re running percy’s holding him as if he can’t walk???? they’re not even fully sprinting, given that a monster is chasing them lol. (the problem with the stakes; i mean with the way they run and have an entire talk with sally makes it feel like they’re not in any real danger).
back to grover: he was perfectly fine, and he got percy back safe. not at all like in tlt, where percy has to practically carry him back, after loosing his mom and killing the minotaur. THEN percy passes out and later wakes up at the big house. this is important, bc grover’s entire THING is being percy’s protector, and he couldn’t do that properly bc he was indisposed. he felt awful. of course he did. his character arc is overcoming the guilt and insecurities—that he’s not a proper protector and therefore can’t search for pan; his main character motivation—by successfully completing the quest and helping percy retrieve the master bolt.
these are just little seeds that needed to be planted in the first two episodes of the show…so that the rest of the show feels cohesive and makes sense with what happens in tlt. if these character traits and scenes are looked over and not given proper importance/not replaced with something similar, then the show will have a different tone than it does to the books. i don’t think it’s necessarily bad, but it is disappointing that the details sprinkled in the source material are lost in translation. they may have seemed insignificant to the writers, but not to meeee!!!!!!

Alright PJO fandom. Let’s clear the air on something real quick.
So if you’ve watched the PJO premiere, I’m sure one of the major changes you noticed was Gabe, and how toned down his behavior is compared to the books. There is also a clear change in the dynamic between Gabe and Sally, with Sally being more assertive and snarky with him.
The fandom seems pretty split on this change. Some people hate it and feel that a dark yet important aspect of the narrative has been lost, some people are neutral about it and are wondering if the whole Poker Player Statue bit is getting removed, and some people welcome this change, saying that Sally is more cool, strong, and badass now, and that showing a woman staying in abusive relationship in hopes of protecting her kid is not okay for current audiences.
To the people who are saying that Sally is more cool, badass, and strong now…
…FUCK YOU.
And here’s why.
I cannot even begin to describe how awful and disgusting it is to imply that book-Sally was weaker, less cool, and less strong because she struggled to stand up to her abuser, struggled to balance the need to leave an abusive relationship and the desire to protect her kid, and found herself making difficult choices in an abusive household. I am baffled that people think that this is an okay thing to say in the year of 2023, going on to 2024.
Are all of you shitting me right now? Are you seriously fixing your fingers to imply that book-Sally is inferior to show-Sally because her story reflects an ugly truth about how hard it is for mothers to stand up to their abusers while trying to look out for their children? Are you all fucking joking?
I have never felt so angry to see so many people diminish what book-Sally went through, and claim that it would be bad to depict something like that on TV. I know what Sally goes through is triggering and not fun to watch, but it is the very fact that her story reflects an ugly truth about what many wives go through that I think her struggle with an abusive husband is so fucking important!
Yes, we don’t want to encourage victims to stay in abusive relationships. Yes, we don’t want to make women feel like the only way to be a good, loving mother is to endure bad situations for your kids. Yes, we want to make it clear to mothers that they, under no circumstances, are obligated to endure an abuser. HOWEVER, the ugly and unfortunate reality is that many mothers have such a strong desire to protect their kids that they will find themselves making this unfortunate choice, and that is not a truth we should shy away from. A depiction of difficult choices that victims feel like they have to make is not necessarily an endorsement of that choice, but rather, a realistic reflection of what people go through.
And I will be DAMNED if I sit here quietly and watch so many of you tread into victim-blamey territory, or imply that book-Sally is somehow inferior because she struggled with the courage to leave and accept the risk of Percy not having Gabe’s protective smell. I literally saw a comment on Reddit where someone was trying to defend the change, and they typed out the sentence “You know what’s not badass? Staying in an abusive relationship.”
As if most abuse victims have the full freedom, resources, and support to just pick up and leave whenever. As if every choice that an abuse victim makes isn’t being made in the context of danger, pressure, stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and so much more. As if an abused woman’s top priority should be to look “badass” instead of trying to take care of herself.
I am a proud Book-Sally defender, and I will happily fight anyone who dares to imply she isn’t as strong or badass as show-Sally because standing up to her abuser wasn’t easy for her. I am extremely disappointed in this fandom for this ugly language regarding book-Sally in comparison to show-Sally.
And quite frankly? All of you can kiss my ass.

Sisyphus/Gabriel pre-relationship stressful fluff (?), Sisyphus pov. In which Gabe asks for a hug and Sisyphus tries not to confess his feelings
"Hey—" Gabriel recoils from how awkward he sounds, but valiantly presses on—“Can I...May I hug you?”
Sisyphus only hums to acknowledge that he's heard the question. The railway line from Lust to Violence is long, and the angel has been mostly silent since they boarded. Gabriel clearly has been using that time to think, and this is the end station of that particular train.
First things first. Yes or no? He could wonder about the why and how of Gabriel's request later. Yes would let him see how this pans out. No would be— No would let him delay addressing an untimely truth for a while longer.
...Yes would also mean Gabriel's hands on him.
Sisyphus has always been too human.
He wordlessly lifts an arm. Gabriel inches closer, sighing as he practically glues himself to Sisyphus' side, squeezing so tight he can't tell the soft creak he felt is Gabriel's ribcage or his own.
The intensity isn't exactly surprising, but his breath sticks in his throat nonetheless. He drapes his arm over Gabriel's shoulder, fighting the urge to knead away the tension in his neck. Tries for an amused tone instead of worried. "What brought this on?"
"It just occured to me that I haven't held anyone since the end of humanity. I don't think it did any damage, but I figured I should, uh, stop not doing that?"
His immediate reactions are 'fucking hell' and 'that tracks, I hate it' and, infinitesimally quiet yet louder than a gunshot, 'oh Gabriel.'
He does not say any of those things. What comes out instead is a soft, angry noise that he can't quite suppress. He turns towards Gabriel and pull the angel in with a hand behind his helmet.
Gabriel gasps once. Shudders through the exhale. But his posture slacks and he loosens his lifeline-grip on Sisyphus' middle.
He pets down Gabriel's spine and resolutely not say a thing about the fingers flexing against his own back.
"I was doing worse than I thought, it seems." Gabriel sighs into Sisyphus' shoulder. His voice is dangerously thick. "Thank you."
"It's basic decency." He waves it off automatically, just like he did a hundred times before. A hundred delays of the truth, because Gabriel still looks at him like Sisyphus is his new god sometimes and the last thing he want is to muddy the line between love and worship when the angel has barely started figuring it out.
If the bastard upstairs wasn't already dead Sisyphus would have wring his neck about these battles.
Oblivious to his internal cursing, Gabriel scoffs. "You don't care about that." Trust Saint Gabriel the Prideful to sound so unimpressed moments after falling apart.
"It is human nature to feel pity, then," he amends. "I'm simply choosing not to fight nature."
'Do not challenge that statement', he wants to say, 'you're not getting the truth out of me. Don't make me say it. Not now. Not yet.'
"If you say so." And oh, so that's what Gabriel sounds like when he's being playful. Fuck, he needs to stop this before he say something neither of them are ready for.
He jabs Gabriel in the side and Gabriel squirms so hard he falls off of the seat.

Smoke Break - A Pressure One Shot
Rated General (no tw/cw apply)
Tags: Reader Perspective, AU, Sebastian is just a wee bit depressed, taking advantage of the fact he smokes tobacco
Tumblr media
Despite the name, the EXR-P divisions were anything but what they were meant to be: expendable. Blood transfusions, defibrillators, and resuscitative measures were used to ensure that prisoners wouldn’t just kill themselves to get out of a prison sentence. Instead, they had 2 choices: actually complete the objective of collecting the crystal and escaping with their lives, or be forced to loop endlessly in futile struggle. You wanted to do the former, but luck wasn’t on your side, so the latter ended up being your new purgatory.
On your current “run,” you decided to go solo, as your previous group was too cowardly to go anywhere beyond the starting dock. While the solace was eerie, it was nice to be alone for once. However, that didn’t mean you were fully alone, of course.
You had just reached the next door after an Eyefestation. As your head cleared, you looked up at the red navpath behind you. Fifty two. Ugh. You looked around for loose assets as usual, picking up folders until you heard something other than the jingling of key rings with USBs and manila folders with proprietary information. A clicking noise could be heard throughout the room. What could it be? A Wall Dweller making a hunting call? A collective Good People chittering as it awaited fresh meat?
You couldn’t quite pinpoint the sound until the faint clicking preceded a loud bang and a frustrated grumble. It sounded like it was coming from a distant room, so you continued onward. Fifty three, fifty four, fifty five, fifty six…
By the sixty-fourth room, you wondered if the noise was just a figment of your imagination.
Then it was right next to you.
A soft click sounded next to you, on your left. You only heard it once, followed by a deep inhale and exhale…Was someone smoking? You could smell the sour tobacco seeping out through the door. Smelled like a Chainsmoker, but softer, less pungent.
You slowly opened the door.
The wave of cigarette smoke hit you like a train. You coughed and attempted to regain your senses as you turned on your lantern to see.
“No no no, allow me.” A figure stood out against the smoke and weak lantern light. It seemed to fill the entire room. From what you could make out, it reached up toward its head and pulled at one of its appendages to illuminate itself, reminding you of an old lamp.
“What brings you here, prisoner?” It took a big huff from its cigarette. Two empty packs laid on a desk in front of him, with a third halfway done. Its voice rasped from the cig binge, and it tilted its head curiously as it awaited a response.
“Just doin my job, big guy. What are you, and how did you get here?” And why do you have so many cigarettes, you added mentally.
It chuckled and uncurled its long, serpentine tail that it rested over, smudging the butt on the desk in a divot made from being burnt.
“My name is Sebastian, and I was like you once. I was imprisoned under Urbanshade, and so I was subjected to whatever nefarious programs they had on the docket. The wheel landed on experimentation when I was being looked over, so they decided to attempt at giving me gills. It worked, but look at me,” it gestured dejectedly to its body, “I became this monster. I got so angry that I practically murdered the whole research team and fled down here. Now I just sit here and think about life and how to maybe go back up to the surface to have a normal one.”
As it had been talking, you had taken a seat beside it, the creature towering over you menacingly. While it didn’t attempt or appear to be threatening, you kept yourself on high alert. That is, until it made a proposition.
“Care for a smoke?”

so from gabe's point of view, he missed one rent payment and will immediately be faced with us approaching him, asking him to leave. even if we bring up how he's completely removed himself from the community, how he doesn't do chores or anything around the house, how he's repeatedly expressed resentment and dislike of basically everyone in the house, and how it appears he's just rent-trapped here, for HIM it will boil down to: these people don't like me and that's why they're kicking me out.
i'm anticipating that he will say we have no grounds to remove him. that he doesn't want to take the offer of us lowering his rent for some months before he is asked to leave, like a subletter.
realistically, we either have to make him agree and at least admit he's rent-trapped in a living situation where he feels uncomfortable, unhappy, and insecure and that we are trying to help him move to a place that will be better for him -- OR we will be forced to address the root of the problem, which is the insanely low rent. we will have to raise the rent.
ira already brought up the topic about how our low rent creates an unhealthy dynamic via rent-trapping, and if talks fail with gabe, i think we'll have to bring it up at meeting regardless. currently the average rent is about $1000 INCLUDING groceries and utilities. that's insane. i'll suggest we bump it to $1500, just to piss people off, and then it'll get talked down to maybe $1200.
also honestly, if gabe refuses our offer, i would want to speak to him directly and ask him what is preventing him from leaving? if he can be 100% honest and actually admit to my face that he hates living here, why does he stay?
even if the answer IS money, he's also fucking things up for everyone else in the house, too. it puts a serious strain on everyone for this living situation to go on. it prevents someone else moving into the house who actually would want to be here and participate. it's been a source of anxiety and fear for several ppl in the house, including -- especially -- me. it's not like he's only hurting himself by trading his happiness for money by staying here. he's also trading the happiness of his housemates by staying.
it's also possible that he'll need some time to process what we've approached him with, and that he won't be able to come to a decision immediately. but i'm also scared that if we tell him something this upsetting and then leave him alone, he might spiral by himself and do something drastic, like hurting someone in the house.
a part of me wonders if i should speak to him alone. as far as i know, he despises alan and evan, he thinks connie is unstable and crazy, he thinks ira is rigid and too strict, and he thinks vlad can't communicate. maybe he thinks i'm naive and immature and too "everyone should hold hands"-esque, but that should mean hearing this come from me will make it real.
actually this is a bad idea. i need someone with me. i don't know if that person should be ira, and it definitely shouldn't be alan or connie. i'm actually starting to wonder if it should be vlad. just two of us. gabe will be angry, he might slam his hands on his knees and swear, he might stand up and start pacing out of agitation.
yeah okay, i can foresee he's going to need to express a lot of anger and fear. ira should not be there, because i don't think she handles that stuff well. vlad should be there because it bounces off him. i need to be there because -- honestly -- i am a woman gabe doesn't think is insane. he's less likely to get physical if i'm there.
he also won't agree to our offer immediately. he will need time to process everything, and things will be extremely tense and unpleasant around the house in the meantime. we might not feel safe around him. we'll have to schedule a time to talk to him to revisit the convo.
if he still refuses at that point, we'll have to keep wearing him down. and we might have to do the shitty thing that i mentioned earlier, where at house meeting, we talk about rent-trapping and about raising our rent in general. it might not actually go anywhere, but i think we're done with pretending that gabe isn't making a problem. he will feel worried that rent here will go up, and that will possibly propel him into actually seriously considering moving out and finding another place.
there's no easy way to do this. every single way will involve a lot of fear, a lot of long, tense arguments, a lot of paranoia about how he might behave. but if he leaves, it will all be worth it. that's how fucking abysmal things are

Critiques on PJO Show, Summarized as succinctly as possible.
Disclaimer: feel free to come at me if you disagree.
EPISODE ONE... was mostly fine, did a good job making me realize how fucking scary the concept of the Mist actually is, dulled down Gabe Ugliano way down, did something cute with Mythomagic, made a benign and weird decision to insinuate that Percy was considered to be schizophrenic alongside diagnosed ADHD and Dyslexia, skipped out on his previous wacky and unsettling adventures (destroyed a school bus, almost drowned his classmates in a shark tank in the aquarium, accidently) and had a great fight with the Minotaur(the tighty whitey's were stupid tho.) Unfortunately, Episode one foreshadowed that the show was way to into killing tension and not letting it build.
EPISODE TWO...was also fine. Was personally disappointed that Dionysus did not threaten Percy by making him see visions of men going mad and being strangled with vines, but that is 2000% my disappointment, not on the show, (tho I could make the argument why its on the show as a n adaptation.) the introduction of Luke and Annabeth and Clarisse was great. the Camp Half blood set could've been cooler but they'll build on it, (I hope) I'm not particularly disappointed by the removing the tension in the camp while he was staying there or that no one took a knee when he was claimed. Tho I would have appreciated it greatly if the show had nailed the "Oh Fuck" reaction when Percy did get claimed. unfortunately, we spend only one episode that gives a rough summary of what it was like to actually be there.
*unfortunately we really only get The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters to really introduce and get the reader to settle into Camp Halfblood, which means that one season got bungled already
EPISODE THREE...Started to show a few more cracks but was mostly fine. we didnt get to see the bus blow up properly, but okay, they're off the bus now. its cool. Thalia got name dropped. The Show destroyed any and all tension with the team having encountered Medusa's lair by not even letting them slowly figure out just what they walked into. Frankly, this is where I get a little angry, because Riordan wrote one fucking factor built in that wouldn't have allowed our main trio from discovering Medusa immediately. The FUCKING MIST. IT works on Demigods. Our main characters could have been tricked, but apparently Annabeth is too smart. Motherfucker anyone who has read a fucking picture book of greek mythology would know who Medusa is and what her modus operandi is OH I wonder What all these realistic concrete statues of people and MONsters AND NYmphs SIGNIFY YOU FUCKER-
but yeah whatever. Other than that one legitimate critique that I would defend in court this episode was fine, wasn't that impressed with the depiction of Medusa but whatever, great job everyone, I got One reason to fist fight Riordan now.
EPISODE FOUR.....…. Made Me So FUCKING ANGRY LIKE TYOU WOULDNT BELIEVE-
Did it do anything good? St Louis Arch being a modern day Temple was cool. AS an IDEA. Execution was piss bad. ill explain in two seconds. Annabeth and Grover trying to cure Percy with the splish splash was cute. Percy tricking Annabeth was great. Teaching younger viewers that all cops are cunts was awesome. Scobell's underwater acting was cool
Episode Four's list of Crimes are: Disrespecting Thalia Grace before she even has been properly introduced to the audience. Was insulting. don't do it again. Annabeth's understanding of her own mom was sketchy when I first watched it but I was going to let it slide and move on if it wasn't for the bullshit after. The whole conversation with Echidna was a big waste of my fucking time. Fuck all of you. The grand escape from Echidna and her unrevealed creature withering down to our trio WALKING FUCKING WALKING- I hate all of you. The Design of the Chimera. Fuck everyone and everything that is not the fucking Chimera.
Athena being depicted as someone who would punish her own daughter for shit she didn't even do^3 (Percy signed the fucking box, Annabeth isn't the fucking leader of the quest, Athena is the goddess of wisdom, this trio is the best chance of preventing war, its outright stupid to make them die) and withdrawing her protection to let her demigod daughter die...Riordan I'm beating your ass for three rounds. I will drag your ass out of your bed and beat your ass in your own drive way.
Why does this shit make me so mad, You Aren't Asking? I'm glad your not. Not even in Greek Mythology itself is it even the gods MO to make an effort for their Kids to die. if they got killed fair game but to withdraw protection, they didn't fucking do that. Also, if Riordan had wrote this out in any of his novels the story would have been wrenched hard at the really intense repercussions of a god engineering for their child TO DIE.
oh yeah the whole just breathe thing...yeah its fine. not that cool but it was fine.
EPISODE FIVE...yeah it was fine. I wasn't looking forward to the whole Tunnel o' love thing because I didn't particularly enjoy it in the novel but I was pleasantly surprised. the lack of Spiders was okay. the depiction of Ares was okay. I enjoyed the actor. but I do like how Grover faced Ares off cause that shit was really great. Annabeth's rant to Hephaestus doesn't really check out and I'm expecting Hephaestus to call in that favor later. The whole golden chair thing was pretty good, felt like something out of the Heroes of Olympus tbh, except the constant sacrificing is starting to get a little grating. yeah, we know. Its Percabeth. Have some class.
oh yeah, the whole Annabeth's seeing the fates thing …fuck off, its not supposed to be her moment if they did that they better go through with it too because if their going to take Percy and Luke's thing and giving it to Annabeth then these writers better do something with it.
EPISODE SIX...it was okay but kinda boring. I honestly figured that there wasn't going to be a substantial Nico Di Angelo cameo anyway. Annabeth using a prism instead of water was cool. Luke's "old married couple" comment was idiotic. them knowing how the Lotus Casino works is another prime example of the show not letting tension or discovery happen. everybody has to be too smart for simple tricks despite the fact that the simplest tricks are the most effective sometimes. Meeting with Hermes is fine but my main critique here is that they're introducing Luke's shit way too fucking early. Like, if they do this they better go through with this shit i swear to fuck-
The driving was funny.
The Deadline having already passed was a big fucking waste of everyone's fucking time How is that Riordan wrote at Least TEN FUCKING BOOKS USING THE DEADLINE AS AN ESSENTIAL NARRATIVE DEVICE AND SOMEHOW DECIDED TO JUST PISS ALL OVER THIS SIMPLE ASS CONCEPT OVER MY FUCKING LAPTOP SCREEN ARE YOU SHITTING ME. Oh yeah and there were no consequences either. Like remember How it was strongly fucking implied that if Percy failed to return the lightning bolt Zeus was going to fucking kill Percy where he stood? No? like there were consequences to missing that fucking deadline. assholes.
EPISODE SEVEN almost made start swearing out loud in a library.
yeah the groves of Asphodel was an interesting concept for twenty seconds and then shat itself. the design of Cerberus was cute. loved it. The pit to Tartarus was cool. I am not angry that the Underworld did not fit the one I saw in my head because I understand that modern filmmaking is severely allergic to showing any sense of grand mass scale. okay, I'm capable of being gracious. Hades was charming and also a little funny. Poseidon and Sally's flashback scene I'm neutral about. it was done well. I sort of felt something. the actual discussion I have a bone to pick with.
I'm done being gracious. on to the crimes.
I'm in the camp that the Sally-Percy flashback intro was not great for Sally's character. adaptation wise. none adaptation wise? yeah sure the pursuit of parental realism was mediocre but fine. I said earlier that going the route of implying that people thought Percy had schizophrenia wasn't really the best and this is where the show bites itself in the ass. walking into Procrustes's trap already knowing Procrustes's trap was insulting and they didn't have the decency to let Percy do any decapitation. (honestly dude if they had let Percy get out the sword and cut that fucker's head off I would have forgiven this entire episode cause I was starving for action scenes at this point) Kicking Annabeth out for the rest of the episode is a crime but I cant decide if its because its boring or insulting or something else. wasting everyone's fucking time with the fourth pearl is a crime. whoever thought that Riordan was going to "gives a little shred of hope and then snatch it away" are you new here? like, did you just get here? because anyone who has Riordan's number at least subconsciously suspected this was going to be a waste of time.
Hades introduction was a massive fucking crime Adaptation wise. that's not my fucking Hades, I hate this adaptation.
none adaptation wise? a fucking let down for anyone that knows jack shit about mythology and an okay subversion of expectations for anybody that is completely ignorant.
the back and forth dialogue between the Two and Hades was cool tho.
EPSIODE EIGHT. yeah so I didn't know that we were only getting eight episodes total so I actually did have hope until i saw the up next on episode seven and then realized oh we were fucked all the way down. I'm not saying the lightning thief was like the Return of the King but it did have a quite have to wrap up a lot of shit one by one as one reads it.
Percy vs Ares was fine. by this point I didn't really hope for like, a great fight scene, so I'm happy with what we had. Oh yeah by this point I think I made peace with the fact that we weren't going to acknowledge the Nation Wide Man Hunt of Percy Jackson Plotline from the novel because apparently we weren't going to have fun on this show. that shot of Percy going for the deadly slice was great.
oh yeah this episode also confirmed that we weren't going to see any real consequences of missing the deadline anyway. oh sure, you hear about it but that not real effort on the shows part anyway.
Olympus looked nice. the aesthetic of the "throne Room" was kinda nice. rest in peace ceiling of stars you will be missed. ancient thrones was a decent touch. Poseidon and Zeus speaking greek brought joy to my heart. Luke and Percy's training being included at all brought a shred of hope to my asshole heart at this point. Luke's betrayal scene...okay at that point it just felt like we were wrapping all the important shit up. Percy calling Kronos Grandpa was funny. the goodbye between the trio was nice. the final monologue pumped me up a little bit.
Honestly I wanted Zeus to just kill Percy. kid. shut. the. fuck. up. shutupshut up shot the fuck up just kill him. I want you to do it. I want you to fucking kill this kid I'm serious. (live reaction) oh wow you wanted to set up Poseidon taking one for Percy how clever and not a cheap bit for the audience to instantly like Poseidon as the good godly dad instead of the affectionate ambiguity of pride shown in the novel that is maintained through out the novels (on e of the few fucking things that were maintained in those novels honestly). Having the reunion between Sally and Percy be interrupted was bad taste.
I miss the "Luke trying to fucking murder Percy" scene a little bit. Also Percy's line in defense of the gods was so asinine after the second, third, fourth, and fifth, and eight episodes going on and on about how much the gods suck. Annabeth being there is fine but its just one those things that could build towards something new and interesting in following seasons but I wouldn't be surprised if the showrunners don't do anything with that. "the gods
oh yeah, thank you for letting me watch Gabe kill himself instead of watching Sally murder the fucker. not like that was fucking important or anything.
honestly I don't think it would have saved the show that much but I think it would have helped the show a LOT if they had two more episodes, or at least two more episodes worth of time. personally I would put one extra episode for camp halfblood and one extra episode for the ending. at least so we can some immediate backstory of Luke failing his quest if we cant also have the Fucking FBI On Percy's Ass Plotline. (I miss you so much)
the nicest thing I can say about this show is that It makes me want to read the books more and that I need to go read some PJO fanfiction. maybe then I'll calm down. Maybe not.
anyway if any of ya'll wanna fight me on this rundown of succinct critiques I got plenty of free time. you know where the comment section is.

How do you feel about Felix and his mom? They are so 🥺🥺🥺. Especially the brief scene when he looked at the painting of his aunt on the wall.
Tumblr media
I talked briefly about this in my Gabriel Agreste episode review but I do want to expand on it a little bit! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
(Also this got VERY long so I’ll put it under a cut. I just went full stream-of-consciousness so I can only apologise if none of it makes any sense. Be gentle with me pls. :V)
I love how much the de Vanilys love each other. Felix was set up as a really unpleasant character but even in the first episode we got to see Amelie just besotted with him, and learn that Felix went to such extreme lengths to get the family ring - even appealing to Hawk Moth and being willing to help defeat the Miraculous holders - just because she wanted it so badly and he didn’t even know why. He’s a terrible gremlin child but he’s absolutely devoted to his mom and I think that’s so nice.
I was also enchanted by that little moment with the painting! Usually when Felix is alone he’s either smirking or frowning - scheming in some form, no doubt - but he’s got this wide-eyed, childlike look as he approaches the portrait and it makes him seem very vulnerable. Whether he’s thinking of Emilie or Amelie, I think the scale of the painting (and choice of camera angle) is evoking childhood memories of when things were better for both sides of the family and the adults still seemed like these grand beings who were both powerful and immortal. Neither of those turned out to be true and I think that’s what a lot of Felix’s behaviour hinges on, which I’ll get to.
(I thought he was about to find the secret buttons to open Uncle Gabe’s Butterfly Lair, and maybe he would have if Ol’ Gabe didn’t interrupt him in pure horror movie fashion, but he was only reaching for it in the first place because he was so taken with the portrait. He was distracted from searching for clues about Shadow Moth but he still almost stumbled into one!)
The main difference between Adrien and Felix is that they were raised by opposite parents - and Adrien’s lost his mom, but Felix’s dad died. Like, the man is dead and there’s no pretences about him maybe coming back someday like Emilie. The “Felix” episode tries to equate those things (via Plagg complaining about it) and make it sound like Felix has no excuse to be acting out when Adrien’s well-behaved, but I don’t think their situations are comparable. Both boys have been through traumatic losses but their situations are NOT the same and it’s no wonder they’re dealing with it differently.
(And just to clarify, I don’t believe one trauma is lesser than the other. I don’t think Adrien has it “better” than Felix or vice versa - I just honestly don’t believe you can compare them and judge the boys’ behaviour by it.)
We all know how Gabriel treats Adrien, but when it comes to Felix and Amelie I think there’s been an equal amount of damage dealt in a different way. I’m considering how Amelie doesn’t wear her wedding ring although Felix’s dad died pretty recently, and that in “Felix” she blames her son’s actions on his father not being around to keep him in line. It’s possible she wasn’t even married to the guy and was maybe just co-parenting, but Felix’s dad was clearly important to him and the whole thing makes me feel like Amelie doesn’t really understand or relate to her son’s longterm grief. Unfortunately all the love in the world can’t fix that if Felix has nowhere to express those emotions in a healthy way.
(I’m picking on this extra hard since it’s become personal to me - it took me nearly a year to properly grieve a member of my family for similar reasons. Not being able to talk about those emotions is a hell of a thing and it makes me look back on the “Felix” episode with a lot more skepticism of Amelie. If she was breezing through this visit while Felix was still angry enough to actively try ruining Adrien’s life, I CANNOT believe they’ve worked through those emotions properly together. Something’s still very wrong.)
Also, we know Gabriel expects Adrien to be passive and basically just do what he’s told, and he meets so much resistance when pushing those strict boundaries that even things like going to school are considered acts of rebellion he gets hunted down for. But I wonder if Amelie, by contrast, is giving Felix too much freedom? Since the two of them are a team I imagine Felix feels a lot of responsibility for his mom who seems careless and kinda vapid. Amelie does say “I can never understand how you always manage to get what you want!” which implies he’s often pulling various stunts like this without telling her, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of it is for her; like it’s both of them against the world. That combined with no boundaries and the freedom to do basically anything and it’s no wonder Felix's behaviour is a hell of a lot different than Adrien’s. It’s actually a lot more similar to Gabriel’s singleminded pursuit of the Miraculous (no matter how many teenagers he has to fight along the way), which is intriguing.
I also find it interesting that we don’t get any updates on the family situation in “Gabriel Agreste” though - is that still a thing? ML has retconned a lot of stuff in the past so I wouldn’t be surprised, but I really want to know more about what happened with Felix’s dad, the story of the rings and how he acts when he’s not around the Agrestes (which I theorise brings out the absolute worst in him). If he’s turning into such a significant character I need to know what’s going on with him! >:0
ANYWAY. My god that got long. TL;DR I love the de Vanilys and I live for the affection between them, but I suspect Amelie has damaged Felix just as much as Gabriel has damaged Adrien. Maybe there’s just no such thing as a responsible parent in this family and that’s why they needed to hire Gorilla and Nathalie. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Chapter 14
Chapter 16
"He did what?"
Pairing: Lucifer x F!Reader
Rating: T for Violence
Warnings: recap of sexual assault
Words: 1,884
Ages: 15/17
She sat quietly at the breakfast table, trying to take a deep breath as she ate her bagel. It was barely 8:30 A.M and she was still trying not to cry. Gabriel had texted her, saying he was on his way downstairs so as not to spook her, her heart racing at every little noise her phone made, thinking that somehow Asmodeus got her number and was going to threaten her for the night before. Gabe walked over, letting her see him in her peripheral before very slowly moving to put his hand on her shoulder.
“You sleep okay?” She shook her head, the tears forming in her eyes at just the thought of what happened previously. She watched Gabe sit down, taking a bagel from the bag in solidarity, food of any kind was always a love language for her; always baking or cooking something for them to enjoy together and this was Gabriel’s way of showing her she wasn’t alone.
They ate in silence, just sitting there before Lucifer finally came down the stairs with Michael and Raph. “Where’s your boy band?” Gabriel could barely joke to Lucifer as his siblings sat down. Lucifer yawned, moving to also take a bagel, his arm reaching over to where she was and she immediately flinched back. “I’m not gonna steal your food.” He joked, holding his hands up, “Can I please have a bagel?” She nodded weakly and said nothing, trying not to stare as Lucifer explained that Azazel left with Crowley that morning to go to the mall that they might be back later, “but who knows”.
Gabriel watched her from his seat across from her, how broken she looked. She wasn’t smiling or trying to hug Lucifer good morning. She was barely looking at him or trying to speak to him, and he wondered if Lucifer even noticed the silence.
“Do you wanna go get ice cream today?” Gabe asked her gently, she’d stopped chewing and was staring at her plate. “We can go get ice cream and maybe Michael can drive us to the mall so we can go to the Sanrio store? Look at My Melody charms?” He looked over at Michael, hoping he’d agree. Michael nodded in silence.
After she’d fallen asleep the previous night, Gabriel texted Michael at about 2:30 A.M, explaining what happened. He said he’d talk to her today to find out more and how to handle everything, but it was hard when Gabriel specifically requested they don’t tell Lucifer. Back at the table, Lucifer looked over at her, reaching a hand to lightly remove some bread that had fallen into her hair and she nearly fell out of her chair from scooting away so fast in shock. He wanted to yell at her but there was clearly something wrong and it wouldn’t do him any good in finding out what was wrong with her today if he did.
“Why are you acting so afraid of me?” Lucifer hissed, trying not to sound angry at her but it wasn’t working. She shook her head, her hair shielding her face, “I’m just tired, I’m sorry.” she croaked. He looked at Gabriel, trying to find some sort of answer. He knew she was lying. She’s never like this, even when she’s half asleep. Was she upset that they didn’t kiss last night in the pillow fort? Was she embarrassed?
Lucifer watched as she nodded subtly to Gabriel’s questions, not making eye contact. He hated this, what could possibly be wrong that she won’t even look at him? Eventually she got up without another word, going to the sink to wash her plate, the tears still threatening her eyes as she went to get dressed for the day before Lucifer, very gently grabbed her hand to stop her. He stood up, his voice low as he hovered over her, “Hey, what’s wrong? You won’t even look at me. What did I do?”
He heard her sniffle as she stared at the ground, “You’ll get mad at me.” “No, I won’t. Just- come on, you never act like this. You trust me, right?” She finally looked up, the tears falling now, “I hurt somebody last night.”
“What? Who? Asmodeus? Is that why he went home early? I mean, I don’t blame you, he’s an asshole.” “He,” She shook her head, “He told me to imagine it was you.” Lucifer stared at her, confused, before he turned serious, “Think what was me.” She furiously wiped her tears, sobbing as she began to explain, “I just wanted a snack, Lucifer! I just wanted some chips, and he came in and he started touching me.” Lucifer stood there, watching her as she spoke, his blood beginning to boil at the implications laid out in front of him. “He did what?”
“He p-pinned me against the fridge and started kissing me, and he got angry because I tried to ignore him and get away, and I tried to fight him and he just kept saying, ‘It’ll be over soon, just imagine I’m Lucifer.’ and he put his hands-”
“You don’t have to say anything else.” “He put his hands down my underwear, Lucifer! He wouldn’t let me go! I had to grab a kitchen knife and I started swinging with it every time he tried to touch me. He wanted to rape me, and I never did a thing to him! I cut his hands really well, there was blood everywhere. I’m so sorry, Lucifer.” She was practically choking on her tears. “This is all my fault.”
He shook his head, wrapping her into a tight hug so she could cry into his chest. “I’m not mad at you.”
“But-” He let her go for a second, cupping her face so she’d finally look at him and moving her hair from her face, “I’m not mad at you. But I am going to kill that hillbilly when I could’ve prevented this.”
“Lucifer,” Michael stood up as Raph moved to gently move her back to her seat. “That won’t solve anything.” “He fucking tried to rape her, Michael! What’s a good, few hard blows to the head not gonna achieve?” “It’s going to end you up in Juvie or prison for attempted murder!”
Lucifer glared at him, trying to find some way to channel all this anger into something productive but failing. “I’m going to cut his dick off.” “No, you’re not! At most, we’ll just press cha-” Michael was interrupted as Lucifer got his phone out, dialing Asmodeus’ number and acting as though nothing was wrong. “Lucifer!” Michael hissed, attempting to take his phone away but of course Lucifer was taller. “Hey, do you wanna come over in a little bit for some pizza? Oh, you’re busy? Well, if you can, I think you left something at my house. Yeah, I think you left your Halo 3 disc here. You’ll be over in a bit? Cool.” Michael glared at him as he hung up the phone.
“This is not the way to handle this, Lucifer.” “Right, because the police are totally gonna believe her if she made a statement.”
“He has defensive wounds from the knife on his hands!” “And she doesn’t have a single physical scratch on her for evidence, unlike the psychological trauma that’s gonna live with her for the rest of her life. So just let me handle it. Take her and Gabriel to the mall, and I’m going to kick Asmodeus’ ass when he pulls up. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a coffee table to move.”
Lucifer walked into the living room, moving the coffee table out of the way as he heard Asmodeus pull up, bandages on his hand still, just fresher now. He walked in hesitantly, Lucifer greeted him, “What happened to your hands, dude?”
“I-I dropped a glass when I got home last night.” “Of course. You feeling better?” “Sorry?” “You told me you weren’t feeling good and that’s why you left.” Asmodeus stammered for a second before nodding, “Yes, all better.” “That’s great, I wouldn’t want you to be in poor health.” He gave him a smile that terrified him to the bone.
“You- You said I left my game here? Also, why is your coffee-” before he could finish the sentence Lucifer punched him in the face, sending him down in place where the table used to be. He groaned in pain, trying to shield his face before Lucifer grabbed one of his hands, pressing down on the cuts, causing him to scream.
“You like taking advantage of girls, huh? You think telling her it’s me is gonna get you somewhere?” Lucifer punched him again, breaking his nose. “She has never done anything to deserve what you did to her last night!”
“You broke my nose!” Asmodeus sobbed, unable to fight back. “I ought to grab that knife she used on your hands to cut off that tiny dick of yours so you can’t use it to hurt anybody ever again.” Lucifer grabbed his hair, continuing to beat his face in. “What’s the matter? Is your face swelling up? You can’t see? It’ll be over soon, just imagine it’s her beating your ass! I’ll send you home in the fucking ambulance!” Michael rushed in, only seeing Lucifer on top of a terrified Asmodeus who was trying desperately to shield himself from the blows before attempting to remove Lucifer from him, his hands bloody as Michael shoved him away. Michael looked down at Asmodeus, grabbing the back of his shirt and picking him up, shoving him out the front door where he fell onto the grass in pain.
Closing and locking the front door, Michael turned to look at Lucifer, his face red from anger as his hands were covered in blood from punching him so hard, “I hope you’re satisfied.” “Not until he’s dead.” “Go take a shower, Lucifer.”
When he came down fully showered and dressed, still angry, she was sitting on the couch hugging a pillow as Gabe laid across her lap, scrolling through his phone. Lucifer walked by the couch, making eye contact with her before Gabriel got the hint and left, saying he’d be in the kitchen. Lucifer lightly put a hand to her cheek, “You okay?” She nodded, trying not to cry again. “I don’t think you’ll have to worry about him ever again. I’m sorry you had to see that.” “You.. did that for me?” “Well, yeah, dummy.” Lucifer sat on the couch next to her, “Why wouldn’t I?” She shrugged, looking down at the pillow she was holding. “Do you still blame yourself?” He asked, moving some of her hair out of the way, she nodded slightly. “It’s not your fault. You didn’t deserve this, and I’m sorry I-” He took a deep breath, “I couldn’t protect you.”
“I thought you’d hate me.” “Why?” “Because he was your friend.” “He really wasn’t.” “Lucifer, what did I do?” “Nothing- I- you didn't do anything. Asmodeus.. I guess he just thought your only crime was loving me.” She looked at him again, “Can I hug you?”
“Yeah, come here.” He opened his arms and let her hug him for as long and tight as she wanted, wrapping his arms around her just as tightly.

What I Want Most - Two

Summary: Dean’s life has been all work and no play lately. When Gabe, his friend, coerced him into tagging along to a club, he couldn’t say no as Gabe has been pestering him for a while now. What Dean didn’t expect was that he’d meet his match in that club in the form of a stunning woman with underlying daddy issues.

“Please take a seat,”
Mrs. Mills shows Y/N where she should be sitting, and it’s right next to Dean.
Fuck.
She’s going to be the one competing with him?
This is ridiculous.
And in that moment, Dean just knows that he’s fucked.
He could easily handle another male competitor. Hell, he wouldn’t have any problems with female competitors either because they’re even easier to wrap around his fingers. But her?
Shit.
Dean wants to rub over his face so bad. Wants to pinch his eyes. Maybe they betray him? Maybe his mind only wants him to see what he really wishes to see.
This is a bad dream right? How is he supposed to be working with and against someone who he knows the taste of? Someone who he knows likes to be fucked hard and swallows his cum like it’s the best fucking thing? Someone who lets him come deep inside so she’d be dripping him for days?
Jesus.
Dean has to bite down on his bottom lip so as not to make a sound.
He just imagined her still dripping his cum. He shoved two loads deep inside that sweet cunt. The chances are high that she’s still leaking him.
His dick stirs uncomfortably at the image in his head. It also doesn’t help that he catches a whiff of her perfume when she walks past him. It intoxicates his brain.
She’s standing there right next to him and it feels so familiar, yet so painful.
“Mr. Winchester?”
Her voice penetrates his thoughts, jerks him back to reality and Dean scrambles himself out of his seat to stand up because that’s the correct thing to do, right? Fucking etiquette. If it was up to him he’d had her over his knees and spank the shit out of her for not telling him where her new workplace is.
Y/N’s holding out a hand for him to shake and he takes it, feeling the electric current traveling up his arm as soon as he touches her.
Call me daddy, he wants to say, but doesn’t. Instead, he forces out a smile, “Call me, Dean,”
“Right,” She says with a nod, “Dean. I’m Y/N, nice to meet you.”
“The pleasure’s all mine,”
That’s something he really means and there’s just a brief moment of eye contact before she looks away, pulling her hand out of his grip. Too soon for his liking but he reacts fast, pulls up the chair for her to sit on.
“Thank you,” She smiles and Dean can read that. It’s one that says that she’s not entirely sure about Dean’s motives. Not sure if Dean is angry or not.
He’s not really angry if he thinks about it. At least not at her. At fate maybe, but she hasn’t done anything wrong.
They sit and listen to what the bosses have to say but Dean couldn’t concentrate. He watches her out of the corner of his eyes. Her business persona is very different from the playful baby girl that came on her daddy’s cock, came on Dean’s cock. But he likes the professionalism of her too. Like, she’s all tough and serious, is a fucking good girl indeed. She’s even taking fucking notes!
She’s really in for the win, and Dean wonders if he should tell them that he doesn’t even want the promotion that fucking much. But again, where’s the fun in that, right? Because yeah, it could be fun working with her, against her, over her, under her, buried deep inside of her, even though it would also be pure torture.
Finally, the bosses have stopped talking and disappear with the promise of sending them the schedule of their project support meetings for the weeks ahead.
However, Dean’s heart jumps when he sees her wanting to stand up and leave too, but then Mrs. Mills tells her to stay behind and get acquainted with Dean and he watches her sitting back down in her chair. Yeah, thank you very much for that, Mrs. Mills.
As soon as the bosses have gone, Dean stands up and the pushing back of his chair makes the metal screech along the floor. She squints.
“Jesus, Y/N!” He hisses as he walks the two steps to stand behind her, “Why didn’t you tell me where you’re going to be working?”
“Well,” She says but she doesn’t look up to him, instead she keeps her eyes trained on her notebook, “In my defense, I didn’t know, okay? I knew that it was a Dean but I didn’t know that it was going to be fucking you!”
He leans down, braces one of his hands on the back of her chair. His other one is on the table while he practically cages her in. From here her scent is even more alluring. It does things to him that he can’t even explain. Partly, it makes him want to eat her up alive.
Dean noses at her hair, inhales deeply, doesn’t care if she thinks he’s a freak because let's be honest here, they’re both fucking nasty and he thinks that they’ve established that.
“Why did you leave without a word?” He asks in a low voice.
She goes still, doesn’t even breathe as far as he can tell.
Slowly, she tilts her head around and their noses almost touch. It would be easy, so easy for him to kiss her but he doesn’t. Instead, he stares her down but he wasn’t prepared that she’d stare back.
God, she looks absolutely gorgeous. His dick twitches in his pants because his dick fucking remembers.
“I didn’t think it was more than a one night stand, Dean,”
“Well, it probably wouldn’t have been if you wouldn’t have left.”
He can’t believe his own words. But it’s the truth. The girls he takes home are never more than a one night stand and yet, he can’t explain why he thinks that she is more than that. Can’t explain why his cock, his body, his mind, his fucking heart wants her so much. He might also sound like he’s hurt and maybe he is. And it’s not even her fault. Dean should have made himself clearer after he tucked her into bed but he was just fucking exhausted and by the way she was too, he thought that she’d sleep longer than he would.
“What would you have done, Dean?” She asks, her voice a whisper because they’re still so close, “I don’t think any good would have come of it if I had I stayed.”
“I don’t know,” He shakes his head. His mind raced at the question. Yeah, what would he have done?
He grins, “I would have maybe fucked you again, because goddamnit, I can not forget how your sweet cunt clenched around my fat cock,”
Y/N’s tongue darts out, wets her lips and Dean replicates it.
“Dean,”
“I just knew that it wasn’t a one time thing for me, okay? I knew right before I fell asleep that I wanted to see you again. There was hope in my fucking heart that I would get to make you come again. I hoped that I would fucking see you again. I fucking hoped that you’d still be there when I woke up, that you would let me treat you right, that you’d fucking let me bring you home, take you out, the whole shebang,”
“It wasn’t just a one night stand for you?”
“No!” He’s still leaning close and smashed his fist on the table, making her flinch, “Jesus Christ! I thought I just said that?”
“You mean you want to carry on with the fling?”
“It’s not just a fl—” He lowers his head, rests his forehead on her shoulder, “God, you know what? Forget it… but yeah, I want to carry on. More than anything,” He mumbles.
“But—”
“Yeah,” He huffs out, “This is going to be hard,”
“We’re adults, we should be able to work together.” She whispers softly. Too soft, and he can hear it, can hear the longing she has because he feels fucking same.
“Should we?” He asks, just to make sure. Adulting seems to be fucking hard right now.
“Yeah,”
“Goddammit,” Dean curses under his breath, “Do you know how hard it is for me to pretend nothing happened? How hard it is to fucking pretend that I don’t want to bend you over the next surface and fuck you senseless? Do you have any idea how all I want right now is to feel your sweet pussy around my dick again and I had to fucking jerk myself off last night with the image of you on top of me and hearing you call me daddy over and over again?”
“You did?” There’s a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
“Yeah,” He frowns, but he chuckles afterward.
“How hard is it?” She asks, raises one eyebrow at him. She looks absolutely cocky.
“Jesus,” Dean growls, and it’s time, he can’t hold himself back anymore. He moves forward, catches her lips. The familiar feeling is there again, the way she presses closer, the way she fucking lets him kiss her. He breaks the kiss only to murmur “So fucking hard, baby girl,” against her lips.
She laughs, and Dean doesn’t really want to part from that sweet fucking mouth, but he knows that he has to. They’re at work for god’s sake. Reluctantly, he pulls himself off her but not before he pulls her bottom lip between his, gives them a little suck and a bite, just to hear her moan against his mouth.
Tumblr media
Somehow, they have managed to agree that it’s work first and play later. It doesn’t help that while the bosses see how she’ll be holding up, they just put another desk into Dean’s office. So now, they are sharing offices too.
It doesn’t help her sanity, to be honest, but apparently, she’s been holding up better than he does. Dean has been avoiding her since the meeting, doesn’t want to be too close, and she knows the reason why and it’s really amusing to her.
*
In the afternoon, Y/N’s working on a project while Dean was at a meeting and she needed binders from the shelf, so she took off her shoes and rolled her chair to the bookshelf to get to the top one.
Pulling out one binder, she rifles through it to see if the numbers she needs are in there when Dean walks in.
He was so quick to be by her side, holding her chair for her while balancing his laptop in his other hand and he curses under his breath, “Jesus, Y/N, that’s not fucking safe. Next time take a chair without wheels, okay?”
It’s really cute how he cares, she can’t lie about that. But she wouldn’t be who she is if she didn’t find things to rile him up.
“Yes, daddy,” She whispers with that grin that’s more than mischievous and he groans audibly while he rolls his eyes to the back of his head.
He’s faking annoyance but he’s not letting go of that chair she’s standing on, holding it for her and she thinks he takes the opportunity to look at her ass too because, when she finishes, he turns away, taking wide strides to his desk and maybe she’s wrong but his legs were bowed more than they usually are.
 *
It’s only late afternoon now, and she’s working across from him. She’s distracted while she reads over the schedule they just sent her.
Oh god. There it is. The warm feeling of something running out of her.
It’s Dean’s cum.
And even though she cleaned herself thoroughly it still keeps leaking out. Just how much did he come? Seriously.
“Did you get the schedule?” Dean asks from behind his monitor.
“Yeah,” She almost squeals because of the warm feeling, and now his cum is pooled in her panties.
“Everything okay?”
“Yeah, yeah,”
Dean gets suspicious, stands up behind his desk to peak over, “You sure?”
“It’s nothing you want to know,” She mumbles, her hands going over the mouse to open up her schedule.
“Why do you think I don’t want to know?” He asks and now he’s walking around his desk to come stand next to her. He’s at least semi-hard because his pants are bulging. She can see it even better when he’s not wearing his suit jacket. Well, to be fair, that thing is hard not to notice.
“Because,” She states, “It’s not going to help you,”
“Well, there’s obviously something that makes you feel uncomfortable and if it’s me, I need to know,”
“Dean, stop!” She groans, “Your cum just leaked out of me, okay? It’s nothing. Are you happy now that you know it?”
He rubs a hand over his face, the scruff sounds loud in the otherwise quiet office, “Jesus, this is torture! I can not fucking work like this!” He throws his hands in the air and shakes his head and turns 360° around for the dramatic effect.
Y/N cocks an eyebrow and shrugs, “You wanted to know,”
Dean leans down then, one hand cups her face, thumb brushing over her cheek, “I know, I’m sorry, baby,” He kisses her, teeth nibbling along her lip, just a little, not even long enough but it already leaves her wanting more, “You’re making this really hard for me,”
Chuckling, she cocks an eyebrow at him, “How hard?”
A groan leaves his lips, “You’re a bratty little thing, ain’t you?”
She shrugs.
“One day, I’m gonna spank you raw,” Dean says as he turns around to walk back to his desk.
“Don’t promise what you can’t keep... daddy,” She calls after him and there’s another groan when he lets his weight help him to flop down into his chair.
 *
Dean left earlier than her. Well, it wasn’t exactly early as it’s now 7.00 PM and she still has her presentation open which she is going to hold on Wednesday morning. It will be her first presentation before a bigger audience. Not really the big bosses but some who will attend are at least a level higher than her. She really wants to make it right, but also she knows that there’s no forcing it. Her head hurts from all the numbers she tries to put on the presentation and maybe Dean’s right, maybe she needs a distraction. Tomorrow will be another day.
By 7.45 PM she reaches home. Well, the apartment looks pretty sad to be honest. She didn’t have the energy to do a lot of unpacking and there are still boxes standing around. And well, Dean said that he hated the way she left, but what he doesn’t know is that she hated it too. She just thought it was the best for both of them.
It was particularly hard to have left because it seemed like they have so much in common. It might be weird because they didn’t spend a lot of time getting to know each other and the majority of that time was spent fucking but sometimes, when it clicks, it just does and you know it. And with Dean, there was that level of familiarity when she first saw him. Something she hasn't encountered in a very long time.
Y/N takes her heels off by the door, shedding clothing on her way to the bathroom in desperate need of a shower. It’s to clean herself, but also to cool herself down. The day has been a roller coaster ride and even though Dean had a harder time to conceal his emotions, she can’t lie that it was easy for her either. She was constantly leaking throughout the day, sometimes more, sometimes less. And then there’s Dean who occasionally comes so close to her from behind and she has automatically gotten wetter from the feeling of his firm body pressed against hers. Taking off her panties in the bathroom, she takes a look at her crotch. They are truly ruined. It’s white and sticky and still damp.
 *
After the shower, she walks out with her hair still wet and a towel around her body, and even though she knows that she should leave work behind, she can’t really help but to check her phone to see if there has been an email. Maybe there’s something that she’s forgotten to do today, maybe someone is still waiting for an answer to their question. People seldom stop working once they leave the office in the financial world. Yet, it’s a world she chose to be in and she has gotten used to it.
As soon as she lights up the screen of her phone to look at it, she has to grin. There are no emails but there are texts from a number she doesn’t recognize.
Thumbing over her screen, she opens them up.
Oh, no.
How did he get her number?
Instead of being upset, though, she can’t help but grin.
D: Here’s the thing, baby girl
D: I want you to pack the things you need for work tomorrow and come by asap
D: Don’t wear pants. Wear a skirt, no underwear

Thoughts on Life is Strange: True Colors and Wavelengths
This part of the review contains no spoilers.
Chapter One
This chapter was an excellent introduction to Alex Chen, her brother, Gabe, and the rest of the Haven Springs community. Steph and Ryan, our two romance options, were introduced with equal value - Steph was super cool and Ryan was super cute. Every character was well rounded and likeable, but the game was glitchy, hard to run and no one’s mouth moved with their speech - this improved in later chapters after the October update. The worst glitch was on Alex when she suddenly turned entirely black during an animation, but that went away quickly and may have been resolved in the October update. I had to adjust my settings several times to get the game to run smoothly! Windowed mode is your saviour here.
Chapter Two
This chapter could have been done better. It was OK. But it could have been impactful and emotional, and it just... wasn’t. I will talk about it more in the spoilers part of this review. There was a hilarious glitch where the bartender, Jed, T-posed when he wasn’t even supposed to be in the room. I laughed so hard.
Chapter Three
My favourite chapter by far! This chapter was fun and enjoyable - and then it was intense and emotional. I am so glad that they fleshed out Gabe’s girlfriend, Charlotte, more here as she had seemed bland before. I am concerned about how they did it, but I will talk about that in the spoiler part of this review.
Chapter Four
Fun and optional romance was abound in this chapter! The event was enjoyable and the romance so sweet that it made me smile. But it had a shocking conclusion. I literally clasped my hands over my mouth and gasped!
Chapter Five
Remember how in the first game Max had visions of alternate futures and alternate versions of herself and it got really crazy for awhile there? Well, it happened again here! But it made tons more sense and I actually enjoyed unravelling it all. True Colors came to a decisive end as the mysteries were brought to a satisfying, if tragic, conclusion.
Wavelengths
This expansion pack was long! It was as long as a chapter of the game - so grab a warm drink and get comfy. In this, we followed Steph as she started her new job as a DJ and shop assistant in Haven Springs and slowly, bit by bit, moved on from the grief and trauma of what happened at Arcadia Bay. It impacted her more than we ever thought it did and she really struggled for awhile. You see the DJ booth and the music shop change over time as she settled in and got her life in order. Steph grew to become the Steph we knew in the game, and we got to see it happen. (Side note, I had a serious glitch occur when she entered the back room at one point, and had to restart from a previous check point three times. Hopefully, this will be ironed out with time.)
To read a more in depth review carry on, but beware the blatant spoilers below!
This part of the review contains spoilers and, honestly, this is where the critique comes in.
Chapter One
I like that this chapter started with Alex talking to her therapist because it introduces us to the main character, and it is then tied into the start of the last chapter. I appreciate that there was foreshadowing put in place by Ethan telling Alex that he wanted to go up and into the mountains that day, and by the signs of the upcoming explosions that were literally everywhere, but it ruined the experience for me. I predicted the entire thing before it happened and was frustrated that I couldn’t stop something so obvious from happening. It happened and I could have stopped it because I saw it miles out, but the game wouldn’t let me. So much for player’s choice. Also, I think that Riley’s hair could have done with being animated better as it looked not-quite-right throughout the game. And, I hate to say this, but Gabe’s death was more funny than it should have been. I mean, it was upsetting, yes, but I knew it was going to happen because of the trailers, so I did not miss the hilarity of the animation of this one random boulder just hitting Gabe in the stomach and throwing him off the mountain. I think that could have been animated better.
Chapter Two
This chapter started with a memorial for Gabe. I cried really hard during this part and had to restart the scene to watch it clearly. Then we helped Steph deal with her grief in a scene that was beautiful and well done. Steph’s eyebrows kept on disappearing, though, which made me giggle. Alex helped Charlotte support Ethan, and she helped Ryan with his grief and guilt. The scene with Ryan was brilliant too - and his following joy random but sweet. My critique here is this - where was Alex’s grief? It was her brother that died right in front of her and yet we did not see her grieve him, not really. And I get that it was mentioned in Chapter Five that she never cries, but still. Her voice was too level and her expression too clear and it really did not seem as though it had only been two weeks since her brother had died, I repeat, right in front of her. The entire chapter was about grief and mourning, but not about hers. She did start to see her empathy as something she can use to help other people and that’s great, but what about her emotions, where were they?
Alex’s watered down emotions were why this chapter was only an OK. Alex is the main character - so her emotions matter the most.
Chapter Three
I cannot put into words how much I loved this chapter. The LARP was so inspired and fun - I enjoyed every moment of it. And the way that Ethan’s Joy transformed the LARP into a real fantasy world was wonderful, followed on by how it was torn apart by his grief. After this came a scene with Charlotte where we finally got to see her grief - and it had manifested as anger, which is one of the five stages of grief. The option to take away her anger was an interesting choice to make, if an intrusive one. She had the right to her emotions. But! My concern is this - Charlotte is a black woman and the writers made her angry, so are they perpetuating the ‘angry black woman’ stereotype? Or are they allowing her the right to be angry in her grief despite the stereotype? I just think that this is such a sensitive topic that it would have been better if they had swapped her anger with another character’s sadness - like Steph’s or Ryan’s - so that this topic could have been entirely avoided. But maybe I am wrong here.
Chapter Four
I loved the Spring Festival! It was so much fun exploring it all and talking to all of the characters! My favourite part was the giving of a rose to your romantic interest - I loved how this made it clear to the game who you were interested in, as I was a bit concerned I would end up with Ryan when I had been gunning for Steph. (I just think dating your brother’s best friend is kind of weird.) The rooftop scene between Steph and Alex was adorable and I was so happy to finally see them kiss! Pike arresting Alex was not unexpected, because he had always seemed wishy-washy, but upsetting. The fact that she and her friends had been spied on was unnerving, but I should have seen that coming after what happened with Mac. Taking Pike’s fear away seemed contradictory to her thoughts on how taking Charlotte’s anger away was intrusive, but it was the only option other than signing the paper, which I was not going to do, so I did it. Jed’s betrayal was shocking. I did not expect that at all! And that Alex was shot and fell down a mine shaft from the impact was terrifying. What if she had died?
Chapter Five
This chapter started with Alex talking to her therapist again, and I love that it tied into the beginning of the game. The following mystery was fun to solve, and the magical memory explorations with Gabe were interesting to explore as we got to see more of their shared past. I actually really liked it! I was cheering Alex on as she made her way out of the mine, but I nearly cried when she found her mother’s locket down there. The final showdown between her and Jed was impactful and emotional like I had hoped chapter two to be, and I am glad that I managed to garner every character’s support. Jed admitted to his crimes and I... I forgave him. Not for him, but for Alex, because she deserved to move on from what happened. I chose to stay in Haven Springs with Steph, because it seemed like the game wanted me to do that (as I had learned from the first game that Life is Strange tends to have a ‘favourite’ ending that is more fleshed out) but I actually wanted them to leave. It didn’t seem healthy to me for her stay in the place that her father, brother and almost her had been murdered. Despite this, I found the ending to be... lacklustre. Gabe’s description of her future in Haven Springs was beautiful, but I would have liked to see that after I made the choice not before - because after I made the choice all I got to see was Alex walking to Haven Springs, which I had seen several times before, and then roll credits. If I had known that I wouldn’t have seen anything different I would have let Alex and Steph move on with their lives.
Overall, Life is Strange: True Colors is a great game! I would not say it is as good as Life is Strange was, but it is far better than Life is Strange 2, because it had a cohesive story with an overarching plot, likeable characters and a mystery to solve.

Stream of consciousness 11x13
Oh Elijah's still around I was wondering if he'd get the oceanside treatment. Cool little cinematography. Sidenote has Elijah's ever spoken before?
Are Lydia and Elijah sharing A Moment? Oooooooooo!
More horses....? K. Sure
Why the fuck would they go and help anyone right now? I'm w Maggie. They gott deal w their own shit first
So wait Lydia DOES want to leave I guess? Hmm. Was Maggie about to leave without saying goodbye to hershel jr?! Wtf?! Also he has not gotten nearly enough screentime. Which is something I never thought I'd say about one of the ten thousand new characters lol
Aww Maggie sharing ❤️ also she calls it "The Fall" interesting
Stormtrooper walkers interesting
So wait when did Aaron go to commonwealth? I thought he was back at hilltop or Alexandria?
Ha Gabe is a deep agent of Alexandria. "Fuck capitalism and god loves u"
"Werent too keen on immigrants when we came in" Yeah I bet! Would have been nice to see!
I find it funny that they're looking at the apartment complex thru the forest and they're like "Yeah no seems hostile" but it's like. You can barely see the top of the building. You can't see anyone inside. How on earth do you know.
Where's Gabe's hat? I like his hat!
"Peacekeepers" like in the hunger games... how appropriate
50,000 people damn. Oo they've been watching them too!! Cell phones?! What?! I hope it's just photos bc that would be literally unbelievable
I totally see where angry guy is coming from tbh like... the way to go about this is to leave little commonwealth pamphlets and say "here's a meeting point if you're interested"
What THE FUCK TOBY goddammit hope you fuckin die
Lance you're telling me you guys don't have snipers? I don't buy it. Oo I love his whole scared-of-his-boss thing. It's cowardly in a way I find rly fun. Aw he's got a soft side. Yknow I actually rly like Lance. Not as like a person obv he's a bad guy but he's actually intriguing and a good character. More compelling than a lot of these ppl.
Yknow what I actually bet they did find the caravan like that. Oh shit OK Gabe is rly growing on me like he is officially a badass and a better priest OH FUCK I guess Billy was a stormtrooper.
Oh oh OK now I get it I didn't even recognize the kid lol. AARON NO OMG also where's Gabe? Hopefully they reunite. OK I officially am invested in their storyline.
Jfc these flashbacks r annoying. Altho I do kind of get their AHHHHHHHHH NEGAN narrative use but still. Ugh God ANOTHER character? Pls tell me she's not gonna have any screentime past this episode pls. OK wait so Gabe isn't the badass. Well that's still OK. Interesting that negan is helping I bet Gabe and Aaron are gonna vouch for him. But like how did he get hooked up w the now-dead guy?
OK I had to go back and rewatch the flashback. HINT THIS IS PARTLY WHY I HATE FLASHBACKS BC IT MAKES THE TIMELINE V CONFUSING FOR ME! it's unclear to me how/when this kid got here? Like after they arrived at the apartment complex and before they came in? Was he tasked with getting the horses? I'd love if someone could clear this up for me bc i can't figure out at what point in the arrival to the apartment complex this kid got waylaid by negan.
I'd like to know how negan and this woman met and trusted each other and why they're there but not enough to see it. Tbh I'm fine with him just explaining it in 2 sentences. Wait maybe did the kid somehow escape the complex or something during the attack? Idk what's going on ugh
Why aren't they just storming the complex and killing everyone? They can just find their supplies when they search? I guess this is a lazy way to make sure team family doesn't get found and killed before they get the weapons or something idk. I find it kind of funny that negan is so affected by the pseudo defenestration bc I'm like 99% sure he did the exact same thing w the saviors lol. And even if he didn't he did some pretty fucked up shit without any issue. Altho I guess 6 years gives him a bit of perspective or something. How does she know it better? Was she one of them? Negan was one of them too I guess? But how did THEY escape before the attack? Ugh so annoying.
All in all. Pretty good episode! I liked it! I do wish that it all could have been contained in 1 episode but tbh idk how that could have happened. I feel like none of the flashbacks were necessary like we knew the scouters were gonna be evil. That wasn't a good plot twist. Negan was a good plot twist but again it made the timeline v confusing for me.
I also think it's funny that Alexandria and hilltop and everyone is like "oh what do you know! There's actually another community like 2 hours away that we never knew about in the past 10 years!" But whatever plot holes don't rly matter to Kang. Which usually doesn't actually bother me bc I'm fine suspending disbelief in a zombie show.
Def one of the best episodes this season so far. Tbh not saying much BUT I rly did like it regardless of how shitty the season has been so far lol. Like it's a good episode in and of itself.
Hoping that the apartment complex joins hilltop and just become extras in the background besides negan. I'm assuming they do, and that Maggie's like I'm gonna kill negan and Aaron and Gabe are like you better not bc he's a helper now and there's gonna be even more drawn out repetitive stupid boring tension between him and Maggie. Maybe he'll choose to go to commonwealth to get away from her idk. That would be nice. Still hoping he sacrifices himself for hershel jr by the end of the season as the resolution to his redemption arc
Also thinking about it: magna, yumiko, and yumikos brother that I still can't remember his name have served their purpose. I'm fine if they're just like featured in the inevitable battle as like "remember these 2? Yeah they're still here slitting throats and whatnot" but past that I'm good to just never see them again. Magna found peace w her family and is pissed to be on the bottom rung of society once again. Yumiko is reunited w her brother that we never knew about and apparently they were v close and it was rly hard to be apart for the last 10 years or something idk. Whatever. Brother has saved zeke. They're all finished w their storylines. Sad to see more wlw go but that's tptb fault for Burying The Gays and not making anyone else of the 90 characters wlw in the meantime.
Tldr: good episode. Hoping new characters are contained solely within this mini plot. Didn't mind the lack of caryl at all. Tbh I'm more annoyed when Daryl is featured in an episode and Carol isn't, even if it's not caryl-y lol.

werewolf au
Tumblr media
author’s note: fic for @lielullabye 500 challenge, congratulations💕(this is a repost of my work) dedicated to @sweater-daddiesdumbdork love you amber💕
warnings: angst, mentions of sexual harassment, threats
prompts: slight beauty and the beast au; werewolf!ari x mate!reader
read please: this is an alternate universe with ari levinson, in this fic there’s no RSDR, no guy thomas, just the man with the same principles and ideals; also, my knowledge on werewolf dynamics is limited, i’m writing this with what i know from what i’ve read before
“Why do you hate her so much?” Sam asked Ari. They were coming back from yet another successful battle against rogues. Those wolves were tormenting packs all around the state and Ari made it his mission to help as many packs as he could. But the rogues were still coming, they were relentless.
“I don’t hate her.” He grumbled.
Ari didn’t want a mate. Simple as that. He didn’t want to deal with caring about someone who had the power to kill him. He was fine with saving packs from being murdered by rogues. That was his mission in life. No getting distracted.
Until she came along. Until he saved her.
Ari wanted to despise her. He needed to hate her.
Why couldn’t he just bring himself to reject her?
He had tried so many times. It would be so easy to go up to her, reject her and be free of their so called bond. The human in him didn’t want to be cruel. But he couldn’t allow himself to care for her, for anybody. That was the animalistic part of him. Because the wolf part of him wanted nothing more than to be her mate.
Still he couldn’t do it.
“Okay, then. Let me rephrase.” Sam chuckled, making Ari grit his teeth. “Why do you dislike her so much?”
“Can we not do this right now? I’m tired.”
“We never do this. You are always tired when it comes to her. Funny because she’s as quiet about you whenever I ask her.”
Ari’s head whipped so fast in Sam’s direction. “So now you are talking to her?” He demanded to know, his Alpha voice coming through. He didn’t know why Sam talking to her was making his blood boil.
Sam’s laugh boomed. It was so easy riling him up when it came to Y/N. “So what if I am?” He taunted.
Ari stopped the car, tires screeching on the pavement, making the cars behind struggle to stop as well. He got out of the car and before going to Sam’s side, he mind-linked his wolves.
“Everybody get to the house, now!”
The first driver resumed driving and the rest followed. The Alpha’s orders were clear. They wouldn’t want to disobey in any way, especially with an angry Alpha.
Ari opened Sam’s door and took him out by his shirt. “She’s a really nice girl, Ari.” Sam continued his teasing. If Ari wasn’t so angry, he’d realise what Sam’s intentions were. He would also know that Sam meant no harm and would never disrespect Y/N nor his Alpha. “Why are you so worked up over me and her?”
Ari dropped him and Sam took a deep breath. “Let’s go.”
Back at the pack house, Ari walked in with his mind set on someone. His pack bowed in respect and in other circumstances, he would nod in acknowledgement but he was on a mission. He opened door, making young wolves whimper in fear, something he regretted instantly. He tried calming himself down but the she and Sam would pop into his mind.
At last he found her. The sight in front of him doing something to his heart. Y/N was sitting with a book in her hands, the pages showing cartoon wolves. Around fifteen toddler wolves were sitting in front of her, their attention on the captivating woman telling the story. Her hands moving gracefully and her words smooth as honey.
“Fuck.” Ari muttered under his breath. Y/N gasped, letting him know that she had heard and so would the younglings would have if they weren’t so captured by the story. Their eyes locked and she looked away first, intimidated by his hard stare. “Y/N, a word.” She nodded in acknowledgement and closed the bedtime story.
Simultaneous whines came from the young wolves. “It’s time to sleep. We can finish tomorrow.” She said in a soft voice and Ari cursed in his mind. He stepped aside as the wolves dragged their feet towards their respective rooms. Ari let out a small chuckle at the sight. “How can I help you?” His head snapped in her direction and instinctively took a step back, something as an Alpha he shouldn’t have done. Weakness. Exactly why he didn’t want a mate. Especially a beautiful one with a voice like velvet.
Y/N bowed her head and took two steps back when Ari did that. He hasn’t officially rejected her yet but she knew it would nearly kill her whenever he did. It was already painful and he had only put some space between them. It was a ticking bomb that he was handing her and she no choice but to accept it.
Ari swallowed hard as he realised what he made her feel but then Sam’s words sounded in his mind again. “Why have you been talking to Sam?” No, he wasn’t beating around the bush. He needed to know with urgency what was going between his Beta and his very own mate.
“What do you mean?” Y/N sounded genuinely confused.
Ari groaned. “Don’t play dumb, Y/N. He told me you two have been talking and I want to know why.” He didn’t realise he had walked into her personal space until there was nothing else he could smell but her. And it was maddening.
“Alpha,” Y/N whispered, feeling her heart beating worryingly fast and her wolf clawing for a way out, ready to be with her mate.
The way his title sounded coming out of her lips pushed him to the edge. In a swift movement, he carefully pushed her against the wall and kissed her. His lips were devouring her and she tried her best to keep up with him. As an Alpha, she knew he had the upper hand when it came to dominating her. And she loved it. The way his hands were firmly but gently cupping her cheeks until they needed air. Then one of his hands left to cup the back of her neck and the other to wrap around her waist. His hot breath fanned from his cheek, her jaw to her neck and shoulder as he placed open-mouthed kisses all over every inch of skin. She could do nothing but run her hands through his long hair, the feel of his silky strands were driving her crazy. And she gripped them tight when she felt his canines rubbing the place where her neck met her shoulder, what would be her marking spot.
As soon as Ari felt her tensing, he came to his senses and pulled away. His eyes locked with hers and his heart hurt when he saw the fresh tears gathering.
Y/N pushed herself off the wall and walked past Ari.
“Don’t take another step, Y/N.” He didn’t know what to tell her though, he didn’t know if he could succumb to her. She stopped, she couldn’t disobey direct orders from the Alpha, from her Alpha, her mate.
Ari saw her lips trembling but he couldn’t bring himself to move and get her in his arms. And he didn’t try stopping her when she moved. He just saw how she walked away from him, hurting him in the process.
Y/N ran out of the pack house all the way to the river a couple of miles into the woods. She knew he wasn’t following her but her body could still feel him. Then she yanked her clothes off and shifted, hoping that running would make him disappear from her thoughts. She needed to brace herself, harden her heart for when the time came that he would reject her. Because he had said so. Just waiting for the right time.
/
Ari’s wolf was going crazy. There was too much distance between him and his mate. The only thing that Ari staying put was knowing she was still in his territory. The patrolling wolves of that night let him know that she was safe. And as much as he hated it, Sam offering to keep her company kept his mind at peace.
He knew his resolution was crumbling but there was so much at stake for him. A few minutes with her had him losing focus. Nothing else existed but them. How was he supposed to care for an entire pack when he lost himself in her.
“Alpha Levinson.”
Ari looked up to the door and his blood boiled. Gabe Ashton was the type of wolf that shouldn’t be an Alpha. Ruthless, merciless and cocky. Had been tormenting wolves for years but without proof there was nothing much Ari could do to stop him. It didn’t help that he had an army of trained and loyal killers that somehow helped rogues destroy entire packs.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Ari stood up and tried moving forward when Gabe presented a gun and pointed at him.
Gabe tsked. “Be smart, Ari. I came in peace, I promise.” His smile was taunting.
“What do you want?” Ari gritted through his teeth.
“I have a proposition for you and you will accept it.” Gabe grinned maniacally. “I’ve been planning for months. You have a nice pack. Strong wolves. Pretty she-wolves. You have pretty much everything. Last I heard you were only missing a mate to have the perfect pack…”
“Sam, get Y/N back to the house. Now!”
“I’ve been planning your destruction and today, something made me realise that I didn’t have to plan so much. I don’t even have to do much. You have a weakness but then again, you are not even that strong. Ari Levinson, the mighty Alpha, but are you really?”
“What do you want, Gabe?” Ari repeated, his hands fisted and his face red. Nobody threatened him or what was his.
“How’s that pretty new wolf of yours, your mate? You know, I saw her shift earlier. Got the whole show for myself. It’s funny. I didn’t catch any scent that would indicate she’s been claimed, she was reeking of you but no mark on her soft neck…” Gabe taunted, waving his hand in front of Ari. “Since you don’t seem to care about her, what about I mate her? I wonder how she would look under me as I make her mine-”
Ari lost it. He grabbed Gabe by his shirt and slammed him against the wall. Gun going off before dropping to the floor.
“One more word out of you and I’ll fucking end you.” He threatened. “She’s my mate, you hear me. Mine!”
Sam burst into the room. “Ari, Y/N… she’s gone.” Sam’s voice was frantic.
Gabe chuckled and Ari growled.
“Oops, too late I guess.”

Temptation Stairway Thoughts™ + Theory Discussion
TW: blood + Death mentions, Implied (forced/pushed) integration (systems), racism (against asians), unreality stuff bc the show is Like That, Trauma causd by therapy
TL;DR = I mainly talk about implied integration, n as some1 in a system tht! mkes me uncomfy! I mainly will talk abt wht I’m calling the multi-ena theory (n anothr theory ill call the Multiple/Multi-Enaverse Theory) thts been popping up n disccng how thts kind of the bggst thng keepng me on board! I won’t LIE I might b a little biased bc I rlly do like thise show b I am NOT blind so I will try 2 address som things. I also talk alot abt the Shepard n Phindol bc I love themb so much they make me very heart Big.
DISCLAIMERS:
Obviously Joel G Highkey/definitely/most probbly did not intend 4 any of thise, but media is very complic8d so u cn end up accidntlly making problmtc things or implyng not great things
I hav a typing quirkkkk so if u cant understand my post I rlly dont blame u! I’m sorry how I type is Incomprehensible™
Not an angry post, more like my brain is holding me host-ge until i talk abt everyth dskfjhd!!
DO NOT Send anyone in thise post hate or angry asks/messages or perish by my sword
OK so this recnt episde has me w vry vry mixd feelngs!!! I’m both happy n exctd! b litrlly 2 things is whts bothrng me. While I CLD jst say :I Am Lookng Away: i rlly do need 2 write it down. Under a Read-more bc im secure SKSJ
Part 0: I’m uncomfortable help
The Section wher i tlk abt n bring up othr ppl’s concerns
So fr most if nt all the frnds I hav who also wtch Ena ALSO has a vry “vr vry mixd feelngs now tht I’ve seen the episde!!” mood twrds Temptation Stairway! It’s 4 a bunch of rsns, like thise post (tw racism) mde by a frnd whch brings up a good point
Part 1: The Actual Intro
Episode 1 = Auction day (AD) Episode 2 = Extinction Party (EP) Episode 3 = Tempation Stairway (TS)
Who is Ena
Ena can b describd as an "abstract girl split in half, w 1 blue side n the other is her yellow side!" Each side (emotion/mood, 2 b specific) seems 2 hav their own voic actor credited along with seper8 credits 4 each mood! So far the canon sides r Ena (happy), Ena (sad), n Ena (drunk)! They seem 2 act accordingly: Happy acts happy n optimistc, Sad acts sad n especlly depressd, n Drunk acts confused n dizzy [In the Credits, it would look like thise: Ena (happy) by Gabe V., Ena (sad) by Lizzie Freeman, (drunk) Ena by Sam Meza
4 Episodes 1-2, thy follow thise pattern exctly! So we cn expect wht 2 see from them, n each voice actor is creditd accordngly as seper8 b all a part of Ena
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On epside 3, Ena is seen as actng diffrnt!! She's suddnly less predictabl! I say thise bc Suddenly, her voic Actors r not stuck 2 Only their sides. Thise is also emphasized when looking at the credit list! No longer is it "Ena (happy) by Gabe V., Ena (sad) by Lizzie Freeman" it's now jst "ENA by Gabe V. and Lizzie Freeman"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Happy's voic can sound STRESSED n sad, Happy can tlk w Blue's side in mor control n Sad's voic can sound Really happy n optimistic. Somth's Diffrnt n Not The Same
Temptation Stairway Summary
Skipping 2 my point, The summary of the episode Temptation stairway is tht Moony and Ena have a bet 2 race 2 the Great Runas! The Great Runas, can grnt u any wish accordng 2 Moony n som of those Ena passes by on the wy. The wager, is tht "whoever reaches the top of the Great Runas n makes their wish 1st, has 2 pay the debts of the loser" (yes it’s phrased like that) As Ena journeys thru, The DIFFERENCES between Ena Temptation Stairway and Ena Extinction Party n Below, is mor obvious as the epsde progrsses, even 2 wher Happy's voic actor is the 1 screamng in agony 2 jst get murdered already. The Episode ends w Moony beatng Ena (but it's 100% possibl it can be the other way arnd, that ENA Beat Moony, b thats somth I'll discuss in a bit L8r). Moony splits in half, revealing that according 2 her, "she wished 2 be skinny" n a humanoid coms out of her previous form. As 4 Ena, Her blue side slowly dispprs n its not answrd why.
Theories so far, are:
Moony wished 4 Ena 2 b happy (or 4 her sad/blu side 2 go awy. 4 wht reason can b eithr wholsom or 2 Moony's advntge [like so she "doesnt have 2 deal w Sad Ena"]) - b if Moony wished 4 Ena 2 b happy/b rid of her sad side, tht wld mean perhaps she lied about wishing 2 be skinny (her new humanoid form may be how she is "paying her debt 2 the loser"). Unless the Runas can grant u more than 1 wish.
Ena ws the 1 who wished her blu side awy, whch is a little depressng tbh
If both the above r tru, it may b possibl bc it wsnt clarified (afaik) tht the great runas can only grant ONE person a wish (or more). I think we only get tht implica8ion bc we see 1 (open) door while in the distance, ther r more doors tht look like their eyes r closed. We hav 2 remembr Moony said "whoever makes their wish 1st whch means Ena n Moony can totlly mke wishes @ the sme time
Somhow, turning pure yellow/only happy is how Moony is payng her debt 2 Ena(??) (opposite 2 the 1st theory)
OR If Ena won the race, it can even b possibl 2 consider tht Ena did not make ANY wish, n her debt 2 pay 2 Moony is her sad/blue side removed (I do not subscribe 2 thise)
This info that was brought up 2 me is high evidenc that Moony won the race, n it explains how Moony surprises Ena whn Ena arrives. “I’m The Best and you’re the worst! I wonder who got the hair chest?” said by Ena, is a direct reference 2 a phrase usd by kids when they lose that goes “First is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the hairy chest.”
“Whoever reaches the top of the Great Runas n makes their wish 1st, has 2 pay the debts of the loser.“ Might be phrased tht way as a weird way 2 pay 4 ur greed? (Last minute addition from me since some people wld think this is quoted wrong in and outside of the youtube comments)
i'm p sure ther may even b mor theories b i dont rmmbr them OOPS
Part 2: The Implied Integration Part AKA: How the System!Ena theory is affected by this episode
TW: Final fusion discussion, medical trauma (Is that the right word)
Disclaimer: This is 100% unintended by Joel G. That’s y the Alternative title 2 thise part is “How the System!Ena theory is affected by this episode”
2 GET IN2 the whole Implied Integr8ion part of my Essay™ I hav a theory calld system ena or sys!ena! (Check out my #system ena tag. This is in chronologicl order!) While thers no canon explan8ion 4 how Ena herslf is how she is, she mkes very intrstng n almst good accdntl Sys Represent8ion 2 me! They even show cofronting rlly well! I headcanon Ena as a system bc of the accidentl system!rep, but it explains 2 me y n how she switches! she has triggers 4 when she switchs 2 a diffrnt side, etc!
Ther hav been theories about Temptation Stairway in the past (before the episode cme out) wher ppl try 2 explain y the trailer Looks Like Tht. Besides theorizing abt the introduction of a new forme (I'm ok w just calling it Scared/Anxiety 4 now until 4rthr notic), 1 of the theories ive seen is tht Temptation Stairway's new introduced forme is due 2 being something akin 2 being "integr8d" (probably by force, accordin 2 the OP) (in other words, all her sides merge in2 one) n Ena being devast8td abt it
While tht theory is now DEBUNKED, bc the new forme clearly did not come out bc of being One Single Mind now, the "integr8ion" part of tht theory is unfortun8ly a littl tru
What is Integr8ion?
Integr8ion is not inherently a bad thing. In systems, ther are 2 definitions: "the breaking down of barriers 2 form healthy multiplicity, n then healthy communic8ion n less amnesiac barriers" and the othr, n mor FAMOUS definition bc its the oldest 1, is "final fusion"
Fnal Fusion is when all the members "fuse/merge" 2gether until ther is 1 single mind left. While not necssrlly a bad thng, final fusion n ther4 "integr8ion" is a scry thing 4 a lot of systems 2 talk abt, because in the history of Treatment, Final fusion is uslly somthng forcd on2 systems 4 the longest time :^(
Very valid 2 hav final fusion as a goal, b showng it as a desire n end goal is uslly seen as a sad n even scry thing 2 promote accdntly or not in media, bc of the previous traumas in the medicl/therapy world of system treatment etc
What's Worse. is tht if we apply the Ending 2 Temptation Stairway to the System!Ena Theory, thts wht hurts!!!
Scrolling back up 2 the possibl theories of who won the race and wht happened aftr, Either Moony or Ena wishing 4 the blue side/Sad Ena 2 go awy is rlly painful!
B I'll be honest, thts a RLLY biased n personal opinion i hav!! I've seen ppl think its rlly wholsom altho a bit Sad, tht the blue side disappears. I've seen ppl think its rlly sweet esp if it was Moony who mde tht wish
BSCLLY If I were to hold on2 the System!Ena headcanon while watchng the Temptation Stairway episode, its Hurtful, not rlly bc of the implied Integr8ion of Sides, but bc most top theories r that the blue side disappeard on Purpose either from Moony or Ena wishing her away or involvng the debt! It's like asking 4 ur sibling irl 2 Disappear and cease 2 exist. it's scary n rlly sad esp whn the audienc can c tht Sad, Happy, n Drunk cn almst b seen as their own persons n mite even b abl 2 interact w each othr (as seen by the many fanart of Happy n Sad having their own seper8 forms)
Ok so Now tht ive described my intro n Main Beef w the Episode, here's a theory I cn rlly get behind tht dsnt mke me wnna cry behind a Denny's. Prsnlly it's a rlly relievng theory even if it mite b hard 2 take in
Ther's no name 4 it, som call it the Enaverse, b just so it dsnt get confusd w other definitions (like, u wldnt call it the Marvel Cinematic Universe theory, the MCU is jst wht it is) I'm gnna call it the Multi-Ena theory! Bsclly, there's mor than 1 Ena in thise universe. But I'll get in2 a sub/partner theory tht is also possibl: ther is mor than 1 enaverse n somhow u may or may not b abl 2 travel between them
Part 3: The Multi-Ena theory
Tumblr media
Something interesting I noticed was that the shepherds says “another ENA troublemaker?” Which definitely means more than one ENA/person has been there before.
(I blockd out the rest of the commnt not bc it ws bad, b i wantd 2 focus on this part of the commnt, but thise commnt will come up again L8r)
Not connected 2 System!Ena or the integr8ion issue I mentioned earlier, the multi-ena theory seems 2 b 1 of the top suggstd theories bc of many thngs! Bsclly n in short, thise theory believs tht in the series (or Enaverse), ther is multipl ena's! So fr i havent seen a post tht RLLY went in2 depth on thise so here is my attempt!
Evidence:
(See: above explanation on how the voic actors r credited 4 their roles individlly 2 explain my system!ena theory/intro) In episodes 1-2, Ena's diffrnt emotions/sides r creditd individually! In Temptation Stairway, Gabe n Lizzie Freeman r all creditd undr the sme nme, just as "Ena" (mening thise is a completely different Ena from the past)
Again, as said in my summry 4 Tempt8ion Stairway, thise Ena acts compltly diffrnt n is not follwng the sme "pattern" or rules as Ena did in Episodes 1-2! (Read above in my summary section) Either ther r stuff we've missd between Extinction Party n Temptation Stairway, or thise is a diffrnt Ena entirely.  I'd hav 2 sy prsnlly tht I'm leanng 2wrds the latter bc of how the VA's are crdtd. but if ur not convinced, let me continu:
Tumblr media
When we meet the Shepard in 7:52 of the episode, they say (verbatim) "Arghh... Another ENA trouble maker." which implies there r more than 1 Ena's
Tumblr media
9:08 - 9:19 when Ena jumps in2 the "Holy Code" where we head undrwtr in2 a sea of diffrnt doors, we see floating Ena models (n the comment section seems 2 gravit8 2 callng them "dead bodies") (Honorary mention: You'll notic they glitch in2 Mannequins if u pay attention 2 them). This piec of info is Direct Evidence 2 the multi-ena theory, bc ther r Explicitly mor thn 1 ena's on screen! wht's concernng n unanswrd tho, is y do they glitch in2 mannequins? Does tht mean all the mannequins we sw on screen in the begnng of the video (n onwards) were all previously an Ena? Is it only an Ena tht can transform in2 a mannequin or cn othr chrctrs also become mannequins?
Tumblr media
Not the strongst evidenc b i'll input it anywy: Ena's Action boxes (Like when she receivs or gives items) spell her nme her as ƎNA (with a backwrds E). The thing abt thise 1 is tht we can't compare it with Auction Day n Extinction Part bc they don't have any action boxes. BUT What we CAN compare is how she is spelled in the dialogue boxes of those speakng in diffrnt languages AND in the Credits! In Episodes 1-2, She's Spelled as Ena with this captialis8ion. In Temptation Stairway the dialogue and credits consitntly spell her as ENA in all caps. May or may not allude 2 her being diffrnt, b i will admit this is the most Strechiest piec of evidnc. Tru or not, I'd like 2 refer 2 Tempt8ion Stairway ena as TS!Ena or ƎNA, prsnlly 2 differenti8 her frm the othr episodes
Pronounci8ion: BUT 2 build on the above evidence, In the beginning of the episode, Moony DOES pronounc Ena's name in different wys a lot, startng w I-NA (ai-na), ENA (ehna), n finally JENA. And this isnt new! She’s been doing it sinc Auction Day (ee-nah/ii-na) n Extinction Party (ay-nah). Thise may or my not sggst that perhaps Moony's inconsistancy is bc these othr pronunci8ions or names cld b of other ena's she's met in the past w similr or diffrnt preferences! I’d say because of her constant switchng in the beginning of Temptation Stairway, it would lean 2wards that she may know different Ena’s @ once. Otherwise, c the Multi-Enaverse theory below
Note: Every othr charctr besides Moony (So far; Merci and the Shepard) Pronounces Ena as ehna (or ehna) so it might be that perhaps Eh-na is the universal way of pronouncng Ena?
Conlusions/thghts on this theory: I prsnlly like thise a lot!! It makes Enasonas Very Possible, b also tht any interpret8ion of Ena cn b corrct or possibl! It knda saddens me tho bc im not rlly sure if we'll ever return 2 the Ena we're used 2, I wldnt rlly want 2 b stuck w/o Sad bc I thnk her role is rlly neat n can b importnt, b im biasd. I also rlly subscribe 2 thise theory bc it means whtvr happend 2 TS!Ena ds not hav 2 be permanent in the long run; Again litrlly the only thng keepng me from gettng supr upset abt the ending of Temptation Stairway, is tht the prev ena’s r not the sme n wld possibly not do thise, or tht ther r othr ena’s out ther besides THISE episod 1, who wld nvr do tht, etc
Part 4: The Multiple Enaverses/Multi-Enaverse Theory AKA The Alternative In Defense of Moony Mispronouncing Ena’s name over and over
An alterntve 2 the Multi-Ena theory, is tht there is MORE thn 1 Enaverse! So bsclly, a multiverse theory. Primarily thise my explain Not jst Ena's sudden Shift in how diffrnt she is in thise episode b may also explain how Diffrnt Moony is actng in thise episode 2. While thise isnt the top theory i prsnlly subscribe 2 (sinc ther isnt explicit evidence besides it bein an explan8ion 4 Moony n Ena's weird/diffrnt behavior), it DOES open a lot of doors 2 intrstng things 2 thnk abt!
Bsclly Moony keeps mispronouncing Ena’s name a lot (in Tempation Stairway) n its Really Rude, esp consdrng she’s always said it properly (As in @ least 1nce in an episode n not switchng multiple times) b4! so 2 Explain her Sudden change in behavior, this is actlly a Different Moony, besides a different Ena. this is a whole different universe/timeline!
LIKE If not multiple Ena's, The different Loca8ions in Ena cn probbly b traversible across dimensions! The Holy Code may b the door 2 diffrnt enaverses. The Shepard's garden cld b an interdimensionl place tht is singular n deals w diffrnt beings passing thru! While i dnt hav mch 2 sy on thise, its RLLY Interestng 2 thnk abt
Like the Multi-Ena theory, thise also opens the doors 2 enasonas being vry possibl :^) Som ppl's evidences r all involvng Moony besides how Ena's rlly diffrnt
Moony can skateboard??
Moony's square shape hole can shrink 2 hold an item
while not strong ATM or frm wht i cn see, its still very inch restng!!! Tho I would sy it is VERY on par w the Multi-Ena theory anyway
Part 5: Honorary Mentions: Mini Theories
The Great Runas is actlly a play on the "Run As" Command! I'm not very Smart engh 2 break thise down vry well, b bsclly w all the allusion 2 "codes" n the Blood ID looking like a Chip, The Great Runas being abl 2 grant u wishes makes a lot of sense! This ws brought up 2 me from a friend (@ambercard)!
like its a command line. so then the great runas being able to grant wishes makes sense if its digital world like all the code stuff says Allows a user to run specific tools and programs with different permissions than the user's current logon provides.
Runas is a command-line tool that is built into Windows Vista. To use runas at the command line, open a command prompt, type runas with the appropriate parameters, and then press ENTER.
In the user interface for Windows Vista, the Run as… command has been changed to Run as administrator. However, you should rarely have to use the Run as administrator command because Windows Vista will automatically prompt you for an administrator password when it is needed.
and my friend who i was talking to said that probably explains what the password was for and the blood id being a login or something?
its possible using the blood id akin to using the run as administrator command since idk their name but one of the people ena met said the blood id didnt seem like her which is like. if she isnt administrator then it would make sense that using that command wouldnt match who she is
My response:
Tumblr media
man do u realiz Ena uslly does not hav the corrct passwrd/admin privileges all the tme? Bc the guardian entity in extinction party askd her 4 1 b i guess it ws so Low Game tht it wsnt supr necsrry in the end
The Enaverse is all a computer code of some sort- most probbaly a game! AKA: This is a digital world
Tumblr media
... If we were too treat this world as a video game this would make more sense since different play through bus and all that. Oh god this feels like a fnaf situation, taking a video that just wants to be a video and turning it into a big serious thing
Tumblr media
Going with the whole ‘there are multiple enas representing the player’ theory, perhaps this ENA realized that she’s in a video game and isn’t taking it too well? But the game is kind of glitching out because of it.
Honorable Mentions: Random Info + Unanswered Questions
Ena seems self-aware of smth! (10:24 Ena screams "YOU'RE ALL LIVING A LIE!") May help the Run as command idea n the video game/digital reality idea! If not a video gme, they sure r Somewhere
What does the Great Runas look like?? is it the door? is ther mor thn 1 Runas?
What is Mariya n Gabo's Job? R they just like the Guardian Entity in Extinction Party but are assignd 2 this part/location of where they are?
In 6:30, wht does Ulysses mean by "Desires r never fulfilled nor quenched"? "You Will fail like the rest of them" Is he referring 2 the other Ena's that's passed by? who else have come n failed?
This Post Also brings up som good points I hvnt noticd yet!
Thise comment pretty much says everythng:
Tumblr media
Standout things from this animation:
-This Ena switches between a male & female voice at seemingly random instead Happy speaking with a male voice and Sad speaking with a Sad voice. The text boxes noticeably refer to this Ena with a reversed E, and The Shepard says "Another Ena troublemaker", implying that there are multiple Enas. We also see some Ena corpses flickering into the mannequin bodies at one point. Third, at the end we see Ena's sad half turn from blue to yellow over the course of Ena & Moony's conversation. My personal theory is that this Ena is possibly 'broken' in some manner. -Moony either doesn't care or dosen't realize that Ena's voices aren't matching the personalities anymore. -The grey personality appears to come out when Ena gets too stressed out. Notably the transformation involves the happy half turning into static and exploding out, erasing Ena's face in the process. It also appears that some physical trauma (in this case, Brick Frog kicking Ena) is necessary to exit the grey personality, unlike the previously seen 'blackout' personalities which can possibly be switched by the other personality exerting themselves (in the auction episode, Ena enters her sad blackout/depressed personality, then switches to Happy!Ena, who apologizes to Moony about her depressed outburst). -Moony's hole is capable of closing to hold things, and she also knows how to skateboard. -Judging by Ena's reaction, Moony's transformation at the end is weird even by this universe's standards.
aaaand thats all 4 now! I really hope thats all my brain can think of skjsdhfsdfkh
Feel free 2 send me asks abt Ena theories n stuff! While this is a Comprehensiv post, it’s definitely mor focused on the Multi-Ena theory n my thghts on the episode whn it comes 2 how it affects the System Ena theory. I’m open 2 questions!!

haunted
Summary: When Gabriel goes a step too far, Plagg has decided he’s had enough.
Meanwhile, Gabriel Agreste has discovered that his house may or may not be haunted, because a vengeful spirit certainly seems to be after him.
Notes: basically plagg being a little gremlin and trolling gabriel like he deserves. ft. gabe’s 3 remaining braincells. based on this post by @hamsternamedmarinette and @snail-noir im sorry its so crappy lol
haunted
“Well,” Adrien is saying as he trudges inside the room and kicks the door shut. “There’s that, then.”
Plagg flits out from his shirt. His face is set in an angry mask, tail sticking straight up. “That’s that?” he echoes. “No, that’s absurd! Your father’s absurd! He should come back here and I’ll give him a piece of my mind and—”
Adrien squeezes his eyes shut. “Plagg, it’s fine. Forget it.”
Plagg makes an angry noise in the back of his throat. “So you’re just gonna take that? For weeks? He has no right.”
In his hand is the piece of paper—now crumpled—that his father had shoved into his fingers before he stormed off: the schedule for the fashion show. It runs for a week, but there’s also a terrifying amount of preparations to be done two weeks prior—all of which his father had decided he needed to be present for.
“I can’t risk making father angry,” Adrien settles with.
Plagg folds his arms. “Fine,” his kwami says curtly, in a manner of speaking that Adrien always finds hard to argue with. “Hypothetically speaking, then, if your father found out his plans had been cata—destroyed, would you be allowed to go out?”
“Plagg, I’m not going to break into my father’s study as Chat Noir to cataclysm his work just so I can go out with friends.”
Plagg smiles at him. It’s the smile Adrien had often gotten before he’d discovered the toilet paper in his washroom all scratched up and littering the floor. “Don’t worry,” comes the reply. “You won’t have to.”
***
Gabriel Agreste’s study is locked, but that doesn’t prove a problem for the small black shape that slips through the doors like they’re made of nothing more than mist. It’s dark, but cats have always seen better at night anyway.
There, on the top of his desk, lies the designs for the first set of clothes that are to be showcased. Meticulous notes. Fabric samples. Timing and schedules. Signatures and contracts.
The small, black cat picks the folder up with two paws. Then it crumbles into dust.
***
“Nathalie, did you touch the folder on my desk?”
It’s been a long morning—Gabriel had been up at 4 AM in an attempt to see if he could get an edge on Ladybug and Chat Noir. It had been horrendous to find someone to akumatize so early, and by the time he’d pinpointed his victim—forty five minutes later—he had nearly fallen asleep. He’d been pummelled by Ladybug and Chat Noir. Absolutely pummelled. And then, as if the situation couldn't help but get worse, Audrey Bourgeois had called him at six (just when he was about to go back to bed) and told him she couldn’t make it to the fashion show.
That woman had no regard for timezones. And no regard for him, either, because part of the marketing for the fashion week was Audrey’s attendance.
Gabriel was considering akumatizing himself when he realized the manila folder on his desk—that had been there when he left the night prior—was nowhere to be seen.
He searches through all his files. Crawls under his desk. Checks his lair. It's gone.
“Nathalie!” he bellows again, and she comes barrelling through the door to his office.
“What is it, sir?”
Gabriel takes a deep breath. “Have you seen the files for the fashion show? It was in the folder on my desk when I left.”
“Sir, I haven’t been in your office since last night, and I’m certain I saw your files there. Are you sure you haven’t misplaced it?”
Misplaced it, yeah. That’s what it was. Probably.
Now, what he needed was a nap.
***
The files do not turn up. Gabriel sends Nathalie to print them out again. The most important stuff is stored on his computer, but there are signatures he’d spent weeks getting.
He locks the files in his drawer the next time he gets it.
***
Tuesday morning finds Gabriel Agreste feeling much more refreshed. He even joins Adrien for three minutes during breakfast.
He walks into his office to find his favourite coffee mug in smithereens on the ground.
The files are still stored safely in his drawer. But there is a big, ugly tear across the dress he’d been working on for the past three months.
Gabriel screams.
***
Gabriel Agreste isn’t a fan of security cameras in his office. Especially because anyone with some hacking ability could possibly get their hands on the tape, and the last thing he needs is someone seeing him descending into his lair, or opening the safe behind his painting. Really—there’s simply too many sketchy things he’s done in the office for him to trust putting a camera there.
But he installs two of them nonetheless. His coffee mug could be an accident. But that rip on the dress? No, the only explanation is that it was intentional. But how?
Gabriel thinks of possibilities until he gives himself a headache.
***
“Father seems stressed lately,” Adrien notes to Plagg. There’s not much time for himself between busy schedules, but the moments in between he catches to talk to his kwami. The past week, stuck alone in his room with barely any interaction with his friends, has been draining. He cherishes the precious minutes he gets to spend with Plagg.
“Does he?” Plagg asks in a tone of practiced disinterest. “Well, he does have that really important fashion week thing coming up.”
“He asked me if I’d broken into his study a day ago, but he always locks his study. I think some of his files were missing.”
“Oh?” Plagg replies. “That’s terrible misfortune.”
“Father says he thinks a thief snuck in in the middle of the night and stole them, but we have security cameras all around the house and nothing happened.”
“Spooky.”
“Plagg…”
Plagg only shrugs. “Perhaps your house is haunted,” he replies disinterestedly. “Good thing you’re not scared of ghosts, Adrien.”
***
The house is haunted, and Gabriel cannot sleep.
The most terrifying part of watching the footage is that he sees nothing. There is no movement. No nothing. But then, the next morning, his files inside the locked drawer have disappeared.
Nathalie asks him about the dark rings around his eyes. He drinks two more cups of coffees in response.
***
Gabriel’s eyes are burning, but he’s determined to stay awake.
He likes to think himself neat and meticulous, but even he has his breaking point—his desk is littered with coffee cups, and he’s resorted to drinking energy drinks to keep himself awake. There’s less than ten days until the fashion show starts. It’s been so heavy on his schedule that he’s barely found time to akumatize three three people the past week.
Ladybug and Chat Noir must be having a field day while he’s sitting miserably in his office, waiting to catch the thief, too exhausted to summon up more akumas.
The clock ticks past midnight. Gabriel nearly faceplants into a coffee mug.
Another cup of redbull.
By the time it’s two in the morning, nothing shocking in particular has happened. Every time the flashing light of a car drives past the front of the house he starts, sits back down, and struggles to keep his eyes open.
It’s 2:04 when a crash sounds outside of his office.
Like a madman, Gabriel scrambles up from his seat. He knocks over a half-finished mug of coffee in the process, but that doesn’t matter. The door of his office slams open. He trips on a rug. But he gets up and runs like he’s never run before.
With all the force he can muster, he slams his palm down on the light, and the once-dark staircase and hall become bathed in golden light. The chandelier flickers twice and he stares down at the hall with half the mind to wonder if he’s going to finally see the ghost.
Gabriel is the only one in the hall.
He checks once more. Then again. Then again. But there is no one there, no source of the crash—
Oh, no.
The painting he’d bid at an auction twelve years ago—one that had cost a fortune—has fallen off the wall and face planted into the floor. The sight of it physically hurts Gabriel, and he’s scrambling towards it in a mixture of fear and anger when another noise sounds in his office.
In the months of being Hawkmoth, Gabriel Agreste has felt a generous range of emotions. But never has he felt such bone-chilling fear.
He heads back up the steps with robotic movements numbly. Down the corridor. Into his office.
There is no one there, and the mess that has been made is moreso his fault than of the invisible thief—or ghost—but then Gabriel sees one of his locked drawers open and the contents inside dumped unceremoniously on the ground.
The next day, when Nathalie finds him out cold on the ground, he attributes it to the exhaustion and the amount of coffee and energy drinks he’d consumed. But deep down, Gabriel knows that it’s the terror that’s finally caught up.
Either way, he faints.
***
Gabriel is confined to bed by a very concerned Nathalie. She usually heeds to his instructions, but the rare insistence from her and his own fatigue lands him out of commission for the day. It doesn’t stop him, however, from giving her a set of instructions.
“First, my office,” Gabriel croaks. His throat hurts—he must’ve caught a cold as well. “Please clean everything up and reinstall the locks. And then… and then…”
He thinks of the missing files—three times—and grits his teeth. “Cancel the fashion week.”
Nathalie’s jaw drops open. “Sir—”
“I know,” Gabriel mutters. “I just… I’m left with no choice. I’ll reschedule. Make up some excuse.”
She dips her head. “Noted, sir. Is that all?”
Gabriel gives her a miserable nod. She’s halfway out the door when he remembers.
“Nathalie!” he yells. “Get me a shaman, too.”
***
“The fashion week is cancelled.” Adrien looks up from practicing piano. “Father is sick, I think, which might be why. Nathalie looked super stressed when I saw her before my lessons.”
“Cancelled?” Plagg echoes dispassionately. “Huh. That’s too bad, I guess.”
“No, that’s good! I mean, it’s not good that my father is sick and Nathalie is stressed, but… at least I won’t be hounded about preparations. I even got permission to go out today.”
“Huh,” Plagg replies. He settles himself into his wheel of cheese. “I guess you’re lucky after all, then.”
Notes: yeah idk what i wrote but master fu is the shaman they hire and he finds out gabriel is hawkmoth and arrests him and the end if u wanna know what happens next

I’ll Handle This (4)
In Which Gabriel and Plagg Argue
“I’ll solve all your problems,” Plagg had said. “You just have to agree to it.” A fixed relationship with his father, Lila to stop bothering him, and Ladybug to fall in love with him? Who wouldn’t agree to that?
Except Plagg was the God of Destruction and Chaos and had a more…hands-on approach. Adrien just wants his body back.
Ao3 | FF.net
After the shopping trip, the teens walked back to the school together, and then separated.
“Ugh, walking is exhausting.” Plagg groaned.
“You’re using my muscles, you know.” Adrien spoke, poking out of the pocket. “I don’t usually walk this much, since my bodyguard drives me everywhere.”
“Well, then I’m sure this is good for you.” Plagg stomped in big steps. “But I haven’t used legs since the last time I switched with a wielder, so I get to complain.”
“I think by that logic, you don’t get to complain, because you usually get to float. And not going to lie…it’s pretty sweet.”
“Just wait until you start floating in your sleep, and then you phase through the ceiling and then keep going and end up in space.”
Adrien froze, staring up at his own face from the pocket. “That can happen?”
“Oh yes. Good luck sleeping tonight!”
Not too much longer, Plagg arrived back at the Agreste manor.
He could feel Adrien shaking in his pocket. “What’s up, Bub?”
“My father is going to be waiting for you. I just know it. He’s going to yell and threaten to pull you out of school—“
“What, like he did this morning? Relax. There’s plenty of windows in the mansion.”
But Adrien came spiraling out of the shirt to look Plagg in the eyes. “But I don’t want you to break anymore windows! I don’t want you to make my father angry anymore! You’re hurting him!”
Plagg gave him a hard look. “Is that what you think, Adrien? That your disobedience hurts him?”
“Why else would he be mean? He loves me...”
Plagg reached up and scratched his ears. “Of course he does, kid. But...sometimes, in people like your dad, love isn’t the strongest motivator. I know it is with you. Love is about the only thing that controls you. Your love for your friends, for your family, your city, for Ladybug...that all drives your decisions.”
Adrien was quiet as he agreed.
“But for people like your father, they’re driven by power. They base decisions on what will make them look good and get more respect. He does love you, Adrien, but he wants your unconditional loyalty. He doesn’t want you to question him, or to disagree with him, because you’re his son. He made you, and you’re half of him. So if anyone is to be completely submitted to his will, it’s you.”
Adrien frowned. “I don’t believe that. I think...I think he’s just scared. Of losing me, that is. Like we lost mom. So he keeps me restricted.”
“But he’s always treated you like this, even before you lost your mom.”
Adrien had no argument to that, and just slowly lowered himself into Plagg’s hands.
“Just think about it. I’ll do all the talking, you just listen and see.”
“Okay.”
Plagg tucked him back into the pocket, before approaching the gate and ringing the doorbell.
The camera didn’t even come out, the gate just opened.
It felt like walking into a hell mouth.
Inside, Gabriel stood at the bottom of the stairs, with his arms crossed. Next to him, Nathalie stood with her own arms crossed. And next to her stood Lila, with her arms also crossed.
Plagg couldn’t help but snicker. They looked like three Russian puzzle dolls. Would Lila pop open and show another smaller, angrier creature?
“What’s so funny?” Demanded Gabriel. “Where have you been?”
“Chill man, I was out with my friends.”
“And spending my money?”
“You literally let me spend whatever money I want. I just usually never have anything I want to buy. I treat my friends to a nice lunch and it’s the end of the world?”
Gabriel sniffed, “you obviously can’t see that your so-called ‘friends’ are only hanging around you because of our wealth. I disprove of the company you keep, especially Mr. Lahiffe—“
“Why?”
“You don’t get to question my authority.”
“I’m just honestly curious as to why you don’t like them. I don’t buy stuff for my friends, despite what you think. Nino is a really good friend and a nice person. He doesn’t get in trouble, and his grades are pretty good. So what’s up?”
“I simply don’t care for his plebeian attitude.”
Plagg scoffed. “Plebeian?! Excuse me, what century is this again? Are we nobles or something I didn’t know about?” He pitched his voice high to have a ‘proper’ voice. “Oh yes Martha, we shan’t have our child run around with the rift raft in the fields. He must get a proper education so he may marry his cousin, have a child with three eyes, and die at the ripe old age at 26!”
“Adrien!” Gabriel yelled. “How dare you mock me!”
“Then stop talking like a 17th century noble! We have money, but high society never did anyone favors! You just sound like an old idiot! An old, out of touch, insensitive idiot!” Then he pointed at Lila. “And if you want to talk about people taking advantage of us, why don’t you turn yourself 90 degrees that-a-way to grill this blood sucking parasite.”
“On the contrary,” Gabriel interrupted. “Miss Rossi only has your best interests at heart, which is why she came here and told me all about your little charade you put on during school today. You assaulted your bodyguard!”
“He’s fine.”
“Whether or not he’s fine is beside the point, Adrien. I hired him to protect you, and you attack him?”
“He wasn’t protecting me. He was trying to kidnap me! I wanted to be at school!”
“Well naughty children don’t get to do what they want to do!”
“Do you want me to be happy or stupid?!”
“No! Wait—“
“Ah ha!” Plagg pointed. “You just want me to be miserable!”
Gabriel flared his nostrils. “Stop trying to twist my words. The fact remains that you have been completely out of control these last few days, and I have no choice but to discipline you accordingly. From now on, you will have no contact with these teenagers that are encouraging you to behave like this monster. Instead, you will only be allowed to interact with Miss Rossi at photo shoots.”
Plagg saw the corner of the man’s mouth curve up. Check mate, the gesture said.
Time to take it up a notch.
“I’m not sure the best way to handle this situation, so I’ll handle it the way Chloe would.” He laid down on the floor and began to kick and scream. “DADDY! DADDY I HATE HER! FIRE HER AT ONCE!!”
“If you don’t stop this tantrum this instant, you’re being pulled out of school.”
“Ha!” He laughed, still from the floor. “I’ll just reenroll! I broke one window getting out the first time, there’s not a lock in this earth that can hold me, old man.”
“Adrien, go to your room.”
“Make me.”
“You’re angering me, and you won’t like me when I’m angry.”
“I don’t like you now.”
“This attitude of yours is disrespectful, disgusting, immature, and embarrassing. I raised you better than—“
“Are you done?” Plagg asked, scratching his ear. “Because you just keep talking. That’s all you do. This gaslighting is getting really old. I know I’m acting immature, that’s the whole thing. Pointing it out just makes you look stupid. Are you going to hit me or something?”
“I’m not going to hit you, Adrien.”
“Huh. Didn’t know you had it in you.”
Gabriel frowned. “You really think I would hit you?”
“You’ve already hit emotional and verbal abuse, I assumed that was the next step.”
“I am not abusive! I am strict, but I only have your best interests at heart.”
“Right, like making me schmooze with Miss Sausage Hair here?”
“Hey!” Lila cried.
“Oh shut up, you’re plenty at fault here too.”
“That’s it. Adrien, you’re grounded. No phone, no computer, no tv, no video games, and no school.”
“So you want me to just sit in my room and stare out the window? Or are you going to board those up too?”
“There’s plenty of books for you to read. Books that will hopefully change your mind about this rebellious streak.”
“Until when?”
“Until I say so!”
“Cool. I quit modeling.”
“WHAT!?”
“You heard me. I quit modeling. Or you can fire Lila and unground me. Your choice, Gabe.”
Gabriel ground his teeth as Lila just stood there in shock.
“I’ll give you some time to think about it.” Plagg cracked his neck. “I’ve got homework to do.”
“But—“
“Ah ah ah,” Plagg held up a hand. “Talk to the hand, cause the face ain’t listening.” He skipped up the stairs, and out of the lobby.
Gabriel simmered in rage, feeling the control which had been so firmly in his hands slip away.
“Mr. Agreste—“ Lila began.
“No.” He interrupted. “I need some time to think. Keep your eye on Adrien and let me know exactly what he’s up to, who he’s with, what he’s doing. You do this, and I will reward you greatly.”
“Of course, Mr. Agreste.”
As soon as Plagg closed the bedroom door, Adrien spiraled out of his pocket.
“Hey kid, I know that was rough...”
“Rough?! No kidding! You’re a monster! How could you talk to my father like that!? How could you insinuate that he would hit me? And you got me grounded and pulled from school! You quit modeling!”
“Honestly Adrien, I thought he might hit me. His anger reflects violence. You see it too.”
Adrien rubbed his paws over his cheeks, trying to stop the tears.
“Come on kid, it’s for the best.” And he reached out for him.
But Adrien darted away. “I’m going to see Tikki! I need comfort from someone that’s not trying to ruin my life!”
Before Plagg could protest, Adrien had flitted out the window and into the streets.
The sun was setting, and traffic was dwindling, as working folks made their way home.
Finding Marinette’s house was a matter of finding the school, and then going from there, while sticking to the shadows and staying high enough away from straying eyes.
When he reached her balcony, he loitered at the window, trying to figure out how to phase in. Then he wondered if he should even bother. Tikki might scold him for leaving Plagg. Or maybe she’d laugh at him for being upset. She was millennia old too. His problems probably would sound trivial to her as well.
Eventually, he just knocked.
Marinette answered, a grave look on her face. “Plagg? What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Is Chat okay?”
“He’s fine.” Adrien sniffed. “Can I talk to Tikki please?”
Shocked by his politeness and shy demeanor, she blinked twice and answered, “Uh, sure.”
Tikki appeared then, looking at him with concerned eyes.
“I’ll just leave you two alone then,” Marinette stated, closing the window.
“Adrien? What’s wrong?”
It all came out of him then. “He’s a monster!” Adrien blubbered. “He’s ruining everything and making it all worse! I don’t know how to stop him! But my father is done with me and is going to pull me out of school! Plagg keeps acting like it’s no big deal, but he doesn’t understand! He’s just treating this like a big game!”
To his relief, Tikki hugged him tightly. “Oh Adrien. Plagg means well, I promise. His methods don’t make much sense, but they do produce results. It’ll be alright.”
Adrien just sniffed, taking comfort from the hug. “I feel so helpless. I can’t do anything without outing myself as Chat Noir, and that’s the last thing I need...unless Plagg beats me to it. I know everyone is suspicious of him. This is a nightmare.”
“I’ll talk to him when I get a chance,” promised Tikki. “He does mean well, I promise. But this is your life, and making you watch him work is torture.”
“Exactly! Tikki you understand! If he does pull this off, I will thank him, but like...what if it doesn’t work? He acts like humans are so predictable and easy to manipulate, but even with all his life and experiences, he can’t account for everything. I’m worried he’s being too cocky.”
Tikki petted his head. “Plagg can get over his head sometimes. He’s lazy and stubborn, but that just makes him ridiculously creative. Some of his attempts may fail, but I really think you just have to trust that he’s in control.”
“I know, I know, and in my head, I know he’s doing this for me. I know he doesn’t want to be in my body, and I know he’s crazy smart…but I feel…betrayed? Scared? I don’t know what I’m feeling.”
“Unstable.” Tikki provided. “Because you have no control over your life.”
He frowned, holding onto his tail.
“But, from what Plagg has told me, you didn’t have much control of it before either.”
He rubbed a paw against his cheek. “Sadly, no. I didn’t.”
The trap door opened again, and Marinette peeked her head out. She placed a plate with a cheese danish on it on the ground nearby. “Anything I can do?”
Tikki answered for him, only slightly lying, “sometimes Plagg gets emotional when he thinks about past holders that we lost tragically. He said Chat was busy and he didn’t want to bother him.”
“Oh Plagg, I’m so sorry.”
Adrien rubbed his eyes with his paws again. He may not be in his body, but he did feel a little embarrassed to be crying in front of his crush.
“Say Marinette, now that you’re the guardian, it would be really helpful if you could comfort him.”
“Me? I...I guess. What do I do?”
“Just do what feels right.”
Adrien floated a little closer to her, desperate for her affection, but hesitant to take it for himself.
She cupped him in her hands, cradling him, holding him, cocooning him with her skin. She brought him up to her face, leaving a lingering kiss right between his ears, then caressed him to her cheek, her fingers encircling him in a hug.
A stray finger itched the back of his head, sending tingles all the way down to his tail and making him purr.
This was heavenly. Her scent surrounded him, dulling his senses and calming his tears.
“It’s okay.” She said softly. “It’s alright to be sad. Things will get better.”
Her words soothed the day's pain, and he really did feel more optimistic. He could do anything with Ladybug’s support.
Finally, he pressed a little kiss to her cheek and allowed her to pull away. “Thank you Marinette. I do feel a lot better now.”
Her smile was so warm and so wonderful, he could stare at her all day.
But an Akuma alert had to go and ruin the whole thing.
“You better get back to Chat! If you need more comfort, come back tonight after patrol!”
“Thanks Marinette! Save that Danish for me!” And he rushed off back to the mansion.

Part 1: “Dead Trickster” - Gabriel x female!reader
Tumblr media
Part 1 (you’re here!) | Part 2 | Part 3 | …
Summary: Takes place during Season 2 Episode 15. The Reader is sure that the trickster couldn’t have been defeated so easily. Even though nobody believes you, you decide to keep an eye out just in case.
Warning: violence/fighting, slight suggestive themes
Category: general rating
Words: about 4.000
Note: I wrote this because it always bugged me that Sam, Dean and Bobby just walked away after “killing” the trickster without a second thought. I instantly suspected that this couldn’t be the end of the trickster and what happened? I was right and he became my favorite character. So, this is more self-inserted than usually … I just wanted to tell Sam and Dean how stupid they were for just leaving that school instantly without checking. Also, I wanted to call out Gabe because come on … how could anyone believe he was really dead back then?

Part 1 “Dead Trickster” – Gabriel x fem!reader
This hunt had to be one of the strangest you were ever on. Okay, a ghostly suicide wasn’t uncommon, you had solved plenty of similar cases. But a crocodile in the sewers and an alien abduction? Something strange was happening in this town and to the Winchesters. You were grateful for Bobby showing up and putting the boys back into their places. They had been acting up ever since you set foot into this city. Bobby had explained that it was because of the influence of a trickster, however you wondered why you weren’t really affected by it. Not that it mattered anymore. The three of you had your suspicions on who it might be and now you only needed to prove it before acting further. That was why you were walking to the school alone right now with three coffees balanced in your arms. Sam and Dean were already in the school, probably accompanied by the janitor who you suspected to be the trickster. You opened the door to the stairway with your foot and looked up, trying to find the boys. Sam had texted you that they were somewhere there. Then you heard Dean explaining something about which offices needed to be checked today. You turned away from the staircase leading up to be met with the janitors face only inches away from yours. Yelping you almost let go of the paper cup in your left hand but you managed to grasp it again. Thank God, for your hunter reflexes.
“Hey there, sugar. Been wondering where they left you” the golden-eyed man said with a grin on his lips. You let your eyes drift to Sam and Dean, standing on the last couple of stairs behind the supposed trickster. They reassured you with an almost unnoticeable nod and you directed your gaze back to the janitor immediately. You put on a small smile and tried to appear innocent. “I was just getting some coffee.” With a light laugh you turned to Dean and Sam, handing the first coffee to Dean who accepted it without question. When you reached out to Sam you said: “With sugar just like you want it.” But Sam shook his head. “Thank you, but I don’t feel like drinking something sweet right now.” You looked at Sam with a pout, focusing really hard on not grinning: “You couldn’t have said that before I went out to buy them?” “Sorry” Sam said abashed. Rolling your eyes, you turned your attention back to the janitor who eyed you expectantly. You rose one eyebrow at him in question before holding the excess coffee out for him to grab. “Want some? I don’t want to waste the money I spend for it” you asked with a shy smile. But when he didn’t react you added: “It’s not poisoned, just has a shit ton of sugar in it.” The janitor looked at the paper cup before directing his gaze back to you. “Yeah, thank you.” He grabbed it, though you noticed that he touched your hand a few seconds more than necessary. Forcing back your confused expression your focused on appearing friendly. When his touch left your skin you immediately pulled your hand back, maybe a little too fast and noticeable but you couldn’t help it. Something about this man was strange. He took one sip, his eyes still fixated on you with a mischievous glint, but the moment the dark liquid touched his lips his expression changed. With his eyebrows furrowed in a disgusted manner he looked down at the cup. “What is it?” you asked confused and took one sip of your own coffee. Then with playful shock you gasped. “Oh! Sorry, I must have gave you the wrong cup. Yikes, Sam you drink too much sugar” you said with an equally disgusted face, matching the one of the janitor. “I’m sorry, not much of a black coffee fan I suppose?” you apologized. The janitor shook his head. “Not really.” He handed you the cup back. “Again, I’m sorry” you repeated. “Don’t worry, at least there was no poison in it, was it” the man joked. You laughed and then turned around to face the door. “I’m going to get rid of these. Don’t wait for me, I’ll catch up.” And with these words you left the staircase just as you heard Sam say that he had forgotten something in the truck. You smiled to yourself as you let the coffee which the janitor had tried fall into the trash. Taking a sip from the sweet one you sighed as you looked at the cloudy sky. You had achieved what you needed.
 _______________
Later that day you left the school for good with Sam and Dean following you. “Just because he reads Weekly World News doesn’t mean he’s our guy” Sam said as he passed you on the stairs. “You read it too” he added, looking at Dean who was walking on your right. The older brother rolled his eyes. “I’m telling you, it’s him.” You let out a sigh as you jumped down the last two stairs, trying to keep pace with the two larger guys. “Look” Sam continued. “I just think we need some hard proof. That’s all.” “Bobby mentioned the metabolism of tricksters” you pointed out while jogging beside them. “Right” Dean nodded as he came to a halt in front of Sam. “He said that these suckers have a metabolism like an insect. All right, a real sweet tooth.” You stopped as well, standing in the middle with your eyes facing the façade of the school. You tried really hard to not look at the reflecting windows, to not search for the brown-haired man. You shouldn’t stand out too much. “I didn’t find any candy bars or sugar. Not even equal” Sam pointed out. “Well, he didn’t like the black coffee I handed him” you threw in, shrugging your shoulders passively. Sam glanced at you from his side. “That’s not enough prove. There are many regular people who don’t like black coffee” Sam invalidated your argument. “Touché” you only said. “Yeah, then you must have missed something” Dean said, directed at Sam. The younger brother turned his attention back on Dean. “I don’t miss things” Sam snarled. “Oh, right” Dean uttered, leaning back slightly. “Because you’re Mr. Perfect.” Sam narrowed his eyes and scowled at his older brother. You took one step back, not wanting to end up in the middle of the argument. Letting your eyes wander around you found yourself inspecting the façade of the school again. You saw someone move in front of a window and as your eyes met honey colored orbs you turned away immediately. Luckily Sam had just spoken up again so your eyes drifted automatically back to him. “Are you still pissed at me because of what the trickster did?” he asked in an angry tone. Dean huffed, looking to the side before meeting his brothers heated gaze. “Oh, come on man. You been a tight ass long before the trickster showed up.” Sam seemed as if he was at a loss for words. “Too much, Dean” you hissed and narrowed your eyes at him. The older brother only huffed once. “Don’t stick your nose into others people business, (Y/N)” he snapped at you. You took one step back, pursing your lips. Now you were the one at a loss for words but Sam stepped in. “Look, just stay here. Keep an eye on the janitor. (Y/N) and I will go to his place, see if we can find any actual evidence before you go barging in and staking the man.” You nodded in agreement, however Dean only mimicked Sam with a sour face, not saying anything. “Just wait till we get back, okay?” Sam added, still on edge. “Dean” you said in a warning tone, crossing your arms before your chest. “Okay?” Sam followed up and was met with a sharp “Okay” back from his older brother. Sam took off, not waiting another second. “Take care” you whispered with your mouth facing away from the many school windows. Dean looked down on you with his expression set in stone but you could make out the tiniest glint in his eyes which signaled that he had understood. Nodding one last time you ran to catch up to Sam. You hoped the plan would work.
 _______________
It was already dark when you watched Dean enter the school on his own. Biting your lip, you turned to look at Bobby and Sam, each of them armed with a stake. You looked down on your own weapon for a second before directing your gaze back to the entrance of the school. “When should we follow him?” you asked in a hushed tone. “I think we waited long enough, don’t want your brother alone with the trickster for too long” Bobby answered, the last part directed at Sam and stood up from behind the bushes. You and Sam followed as quickly as possible.
Inside of the building the three of you searched the staircase when you heard something from one floor above you. “Guys, this way” you whispered. You climbed the stairs and came to a halt in front of another door. Pressing your ear against it you listened for Dean’s or the janitor’s voice. Through the sound of music -was that Barry White?- you could make out the faint voices of two men. It had to be Dean and the trickster. You looked up at Sam and Bobby and nodded. “They’re in there.” You looked at the sign next to the door and noticed that it was the school theater room. “There has to be another entrance into the theater room” you said in a hushed tone. Bobby nodded: “I’m going to search for the other one so we can corner him in the room. You two stay here, I’ll text you, Sam, when I found it.” Bobby left you and Sam alone. And since you had to wait for a while you decided to eavesdrop a little. You couldn’t really understand much through the music though. “Come on!” you could make out. “Those people got what was coming to them.” That must be the trickster talking. You narrowed your eyes, focusing on understanding anything else. “But you and Sam and (Y/N), I like you. I do.” You backed away from the door a little to see Sam also pressing his ear against the door. Raising one eyebrow you mouthed “Weird” before turning back onto eavesdropping. You must have missed something because the next thing you heard was from Dean. “Yeah, I don’t think I can let you do that.” “I don’t wanna hurt you” the trickster responded. “And you know that I can.” Though it didn’t sound really that threatening you could feel a cold shiver run down your back. Shuddering you clung to the stake. You noticed Sam move beside you, looking at his phone. He turned it to you so you could read that Bobby had found the other entrance and asked when to strike. You grabbed Sam’s phone after asking for it silently. You typed in “Now” but didn’t press send just yet. Turning to the door once more you could hear both of men laugh. You must have missed something again. “One of my personal favorites” the trickster declared. “Yeah” Dean agreed. “But I can’t let you go.” “Too bad.” Still, the trickster’s voice hadn’t lost his cheerful pitch but you still felt uneasy after hearing those words. “Sam and (Y/N) were right.” You let your finger hover over the send button. “You shouldn’t have come alone.” You flinched a little. The trickster’s voice sounded uncharacteristically serious. You pressed send the moment you heard Dean say: “Well, I agree with you there.”
You gave Sam his phone back and pressed the door to the theater room open to reveal something you hadn’t thought you would see in there. A huge red bed with two women on it only dressed in lingerie. Confused you blinked a few times before breaking away from the strange view. Your eyes wandered to Dean and then to the trickster who turned around to meet your gaze. You heard another door open and close and you knew that Bobby must have entered as well. But you didn’t look as your eyes were still glued to the golden ones of the trickster. Another shiver ran down your back. Something was up. Narrowing your eyes at him you tried to get at the bottom of your suspicion. The trickster, still dressed in his janitor clothes, returned your glance before turning around in his seat to face Dean once more. “That fight you three had outside, that was a trick?” He didn’t really sound surprised more fascinated by it than anything else. “Not bad.” You finally broke your gaze away from the trickster and realized that Sam had already stalked towards the man and his brother. You wanted to follow him when you heard the trickster speak up again: “But you wanna see a real trick?” He pointed to you and Sam without looking. You heard the chainsaw behind you before your mind could catch up what he meant by that.
Your eyes widen in shook as you turned around and saw a masked man with a chainsaw in his hands. You managed to take exactly one step back when you felt Sam push you into the rows of seats and away from the chainsaw which would have cut you in half otherwise. The focus of the masked man shifted onto Sam who threw himself on the floor, only barely dogging the man’s swing. Shaking your head, you stood up from the seat you had landed in even though your back hurt from the not so graceful landing. You saw Bobby run to help Sam while Dean struggled against the two women. The trickster only laughed at the sight of your friends getting hurt. Baring your teeth, you slowly made your way over the rows of seats, sneaking towards the trickster as he continued to laugh and giggle. Your heart hammered against your chest as you reached the last row, standing right behind the trickster. Holding up the stake above your head you were about to bring it down when you hesitated. Something wasn’t right here. You shook your head and gripped the stake tightly in your hands again just when he spun around with a grin. Your eyes widen in shock as you froze, giving the trickster just the time he needed to leap over his seat and pin you down on the one behind you. Taken by surprise you let out a yelp as your eyes darted around without orientation before focusing onto the trickster’s smirking face and twinkling golden eyes. “Ah-ah-ah” the trickster said, holding your arms above your head as your back was pressed painfully against the chair as he stood above you. “Don’t want you to get hurt, now do we?” He tore your arms forward again and snatched the stake from your grip before you could even move one finger. “Thanks, sugar” he said with a wink. You opened your mouth to say something with your eyes narrowed to small slits when you were suddenly standing in front of the theater doors again. Blinking confused you just stood there for a few seconds, holding yourself upright with the wall while wondering what the hell just happened. The trickster must have teleported you away. The only coherent thought you could form was “He can do that?” before the sounds of the fight tore you away from your confused daze and back into reality. Without wasting another second, even if you were defenseless now, you stormed back in. On top of the stairs you stopped and looked around. The trickster had sat down on his seat again, twirling your stake around while eating a candy bar. You began to run towards him, not thinking about sneaking up on him this time. Just as he turned his face to his right, theatrically cringing at Dean getting punched in the face by one of the women you jumped forward and tackled him to the ground. He let out a surprised “Uff” as he landed half on the ground and half on the seats with you on top of him. For a split second he seemed confused before his eyes met yours and a smirk spread over his lips. “(Y/N)” he said in a cheerful tone which caught you off guard. And before you knew it you were the one on the floor. Groaning you held the throbbing sides of your skull, trying to steady your spinning vision when you felt two hands pinning your arms on the ground beside your head. Opening your eyes, you saw the trickster above you, his body pinning yours to the ground. “I’m surprised you dared to come back here without a weapon, sweet little innocent (Y/N)” he said still grinning. You snarled at him, your eyes narrowing to small slits again. “Well, guess I’m not that shy and innocent after all.”
You brought your knee up as fast as possible, hitting the trickster in the groin. He immediately cringed in pain, his body contracting as a sharp yelp escaped his lips. You took advantage of that small window of opportunity and freed one of your arms, blindly searching for the stake that was lying somewhere on the ground with you. Just when you touched it with the tips of your fingers you were suddenly pulled up and pressed into one of the seats again, the stake still untouched on the floor. Clenching your teeth, you looked up to meet the trickster’s eyes again. “Was that your plan? Knocking me out with a kick to the dick? You have to do better than that to get the upper hand in bed, sugar” he said, now again smirking down at you. A shocked gasp left your lips as you pressed yourself further into the seat and away from the trickster. You were unable to from words as your eyes darted around, trying to find a way to win this battle. Your eyes landed on Dean who looked at you for a split second before he was grabbed by one of the women and flung through the room. He crashed into one of the seats before sliding to the ground. The trickster had followed your eyes, slightly letting go of you in the process of turning around. “Ha! Nice toss, ladies” he praised. Now only one of his arms was pinning you down by the shoulder as he laid his focus on Dean. “Dean” he began, letting go of you completely. “Dean, Dean, Dean.” You locked eyes with Sam who pointed to the stake on the ground to your feet. Biting your lip, you wiggled away from the trickster when he was distracted by Dean who was still on the ground in front of you. The older Winchester slowly rose up, looking you in the eyes while you grabbed the stake from the floor. You nodded. “I did not wanna have to do this” the trickster said, arms outstretched as he stared down at Dean. But before he could do anything you kicked him in the groin once more, taking him by surprise. He howled in pain before spinning around to face you.
“Good enough?” you asked with a sly grin and threw the stake to Dean who caught it with ease. The trickster turned around once more but was not fast enough to stop Dean from plunging the stake into his chest. You jumped over the last row of seats to stand beside the older brother as he said: “Me neither.” The sound of the chainsaw howled once more but when you looked, the masked man disappeared into thin air as well as the two women. You stood behind Dean when you turned to face the trickster again. His face seemed shocked and confused. Then Dean pulled the stake out of the trickster’s chest who fell backwards and slumped down into his seat. Grabbing onto Dean’s jacket you narrowed your eyes. Was that it? The trickster was dead? A little voice in your mind whispered that something still seemed suspicious. But before you could voice your thoughts you got interrupted by Dean asking if everyone was alright. You let go of the older Winchester and took one step back. Answering with a quiet “Yeah”. Sam did so too but added “I guess” not very convincing. Dean whipped away the blood from his lips as his eyes wandered to the dead trickster. “Well, I gotta say he had style” he said before groaning and walking pass you to the door. You however couldn’t keep your suspicion to yourself any longer as the adrenaline left your body. “You think he’s really dead?” you asked, still standing before the supposed dead trickster. Dean stopped dead in his tracks and turned around to face you. “You don’t suppose he had another trick up his sleeve?” you asked further, locking eyes with the older Winchester. “Stop worrying. I killed him” Dean reassured you and pointed to the bloody stake as if to underline his argument. You cringed at that, turning your focus back onto the dead trickster. No, this couldn’t have been so easy. “Wasn’t he able to cast illusions that were touchable?” you pressed. You were sure that this couldn’t be the end. As if you four were able to trick a probably century old trickster so easily. He didn’t really put up much of a fight, letting illusions do his work, teleporting you away or only pinning you down but never really hurting or fighting you in the process. This was simply too easy. “He’s dead, (Y/N)” Dean said bluntly and turned away from you, walking to the door. Sam nodded in agreement before he and Bobby followed close after. “If you say so…” You weren’t as experienced on the field as your hunter companions but you had researched a lot and you knew when your gut was right. And it was screaming at you that this win was to easy. Either way, you decided to trust them. Or at least kind of. When they had left the theater room you stayed behind, eyeing the dead trickster.
“Maybe I’m making a fool out of myself right now and you really are dead” you started and crossed your arms before your chest. You felt that cold shiver on your back again. No, something really wasn’t right here. “But I suppose it wouldn’t really matter if that was true, right?” You looked around suspiciously, trying to make out anything unusual. “I know this can’t be it. I know you aren’t dead. Trickster’s are hard to kill and you can never be too sure about it” your eyes traveled back to the unmoving trickster. You twisted your mouth. You were sure you were right about this. “I’ll keep an eye out for you.” And with that you turned around and fled the scene, catching up to Sam, Dean and Bobby.
