The direct actions:

Sans smiles at Wingdings, who does not return it

Sans is bothered and upset by this, before closing his eyes and accepting it.

They go back to staring up at the ceiling, except Sans looks sadder now.

Wingdings continues to sing, content with this.

GASTERING TIME

Cut to the present day-post papyrus day,

Gaster is belting out happily while Sans is horrified at what his…brother??? has turned into.

Before they both come to a (reluctant on Sans’ half) acceptance at the situation.

What they’re supposed to translate to:

Sans encourages Wingdings to come out of his comfort zone. Instead of staying in the lab 247 and shutting out the rest of the world while still wanting to make it a better place with his inventions- why not grab some food at Grillbys?? (I just thought of how funny it is that Sans can’t get Papyrus to enjoy Grillbys either, for different reasons but still. CMON GUYS- GO GET SOME GREASY FOOD WITH YOUR BROTHER)

But he shuts this idea down constantly, no matter how subtle or direct Sans is, he can’t seem to stop his brother from going down an incredibly self destructive route. When he closes his eyes and looks back up at the ceiling…I wouldn’t call that “giving up on Wingdings” but definitely trying less hard. He cant force him to do anything so why try

(ofc Alphys comes in- BUT THIS IS A 24 SECOND ANIMATION, WE DONT HAVE TIME FOR THAT- CHOP CHOP!) (also just as an aside i love that when Sans realizes he cant force Wingdings outside he just brings the outside to him 😭😭)

But Wingdings is fully content with this “giving up”. He gets his way!!!

Thats when we see an interaction between these two, YEARS later. Sans is, needless to say, pretty horrified at whats happened to him (we’re ignoring lack of memories in this situation btw) but Gaster is thrilled and tells Sans that basically “I wont be here for long, i just wanted to say that despite my actions I promise I loved you” which Sans feels many emotions at- but “grief” bundles those all up in a nice trauma bow.

Gaster then goes on to say basically “this has been fun, but this is probably the last time we will ever interact because I have business to attend to, and you have Papyrus’ to attend to!!!” Sans reluctantly accepts this. Again. Gaster always staying within his comfort zone and Sans just going along with it because he cant force his stubborn as hell brother to do anything.

Basically long story short, Sans is not happy in either of these situations. Both times Wingdings puts his work above his brother.

Solstice [Dark Sun] was such a non-villain and I loved him for that. He was genuinely pretty laid back besides being - malicious…and all. He had Ruin’s back in the limited time we saw them together and I CHERISH that in my heart.

Monty will ALWAYS be this old man’s soulmate, but reportedly, Solar was the closest Ruin ever got to finding that feeling of love he had been missing for years. Though, it was extinguished when he had to obliterate him. Ruin doesn’t regret what caused Solar’s casualty, but he regrets not having more time to find a loophole. Especially now in the future that he knows one existed.

Dude imagine losing your partners in the SAME EXACT WAY. Being SO close to something great and it being TORN away last second, KNOWING there was a chance. Makes me EMO. I’d crash out too.

If Ruin met Solar again, he’d want to start fresh - romantics aside. He’d just be happy to be his friend again.

That’s my personal little lore though!! 😋😋

When the anime protagonist is awkward and seemingly unsociable but they unintentionally draw so many good people toward them like they're a good people magnet and the plot of the show isn't centered around the growth of their abilities but the growth of their relationships with the people around them and their ideas because said protagonist already has insanely amazing abilities and a mysterious original charm and that's usually why they have so many unexpected friends (but not in the way thag they're great at this thing and people want to be friends with them just because of that, I mean in the way that the people who they meet love them for their personality and their awesome abilities are like a cherry on top) and it helps them to become a person they never expected they would be

i love & hate how i get so invested in a series because i’ll binge it uncontrollably because I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING and then when i finish/catch up i feel empty. happy that i found a new series that i’m OBSESSED with. but now i have to wait for a new chapter. even worse is when there’s nothing else to wait for BECAUSE IT’S OVER.

Another year has passed, and with it the opportunity to reflect back on all that has happened. While my growth was not as dramatic as last year, I can still see lots of positive change.

I'll never have enough ways to say thank you for all the love and support you have given me this year. On to 2025!

Your post of Odysseus telling Telemachus about wild animals inspired me so much that I had to draw him with little Telemachus.

After I drew them, I thought that every time he kisses Telemachus' head, it's like sending his love to his beloved Penelope. Meanwhile Penelope with a piece of cloth from the chlamys of her precious Odysseus, one of the few things she was able to bring with her when this war began, every night she will kiss that piece of wool and while she do it, she will think of her husband and her beautiful son, every night under the promise of seeing them again.

But well, that's how I imagine it, what do you think?.

Like it? L I K E IT?!?! I LOVE IT!

Guys guys, I had to slap a hand over my mouth when this popped up in my inbox otherwise my parent's car insurance would've gone kaput. When I first posted this AU never in a million years did I expect to receive fanart as drop dead gorgeous as this oh my god????

I'm obsessed at how well you capture the tenderness & sorrow in their expressions! All of Ody's accessories are spot-on with my own drawings and aaaaaaah, the sharp nails Penny has? Can already imagine them clawing Paris' pretty face off.

I also love how Odysseus has a warmer tone compared to Penelope's cooler, drearier one, emphasizing just how separated they are from each other despite both being in Troy. "At least we sleep under the same stars, my love." <- I see you woke up & chose violence on all our hearts.

This has inspired 2 new HCs:

-Penelope sometimes wears some of Odysseus' himations/chlamys for strength & goes to sleep holding one of Telemachus' blankets for comfort.

-When she became Athena's student, Athena was going to offer her an owl brooch but Penny beat her to it by wearing one of Ody's, carved with his own hands. Wisdom may be helping her fight battles but it's love that ensures she lives through the war.

to ME free! is about having to grow up too fast and make decisions too early, it's about wishing the summer and school days could last a little longer, it's about wanting to put your all, your whole self into your dreams and aspirations, to lose yourself in your passions but life and expectations and responsibilities keep pulling you back to reality, it's about being thrown into a capitalistic society and told your hobbies are only worth something if you can monetise them or be the best at them, it's about being told to grow up and move on and be realistic when that's the last thing you want to do, it's about wanting to be young and eternal and splashing in the water with your friends forever, it's about all of that being impossible and yet there is still light at the end of the tunnel, hope is not lost

but it's not really about all that (it is) because it's a sports anime about swimming
