Stickers

Free stickers too! Although it's not included in the main PDF. However, these are located in a separate Google Drive folder, this is to avoid any performance issues on the PDF.

Journals

There are 5 journal notebooks you can totally customize. Use any 50+ extra templates or from the 15 paper layouts to create your own journal notebook inside the planner.

2021

The 2021 tab or the Year in a Glance lets you add the important holidays and other occasions on the page for easy tracking.

To Do

Make a list of everything!

Project

Perfect if you have projects in school or just at home. For example, I have a project called #getplannerfeatured, and I use this to track my progress and timeline.

Organizer

Include a lot of photos in this page for inspiration. You don't have to follow each format, you can remove the lines by using Pen tool in white to remove the lines and create your own boxes or layouts.

Meeting

Include each agenda discussed in your meeting. This is perfect for those who are working or studying. You can also put important words mentioned in the meeting. For the Location, you can put "Zoom" if it's an online meeting.

Goals

The Goals tab on the top redirects you to the Daily Goals page, but if you want to access the Weekly and Monthly, then you can click on the lower binder to see the Extra Templates.

Tutorials

You will find lots of tutorials and tips & tricks from Tess not just about the planner but on Goodnotes too.

Finances

This is where you put your overall finances - savings, expenses, revenue or difference

Budget

Monthly Budget helps you track all your unexpected expenses and identify the things you don't or won't really need.

Expenses

I'm not really fond of tracking my expenses because I know it'll always be too much or over the budget but I don't have a choice - I just have to track it so I won't go into debt. 😂

Savings

Track your earnings and your cash flow. You can also track your savings for when you want to buy the new iPad Pro or Macbook Pro.

Shopping

Track your shopping list here so you won't have to go over the budget.

Package

Tracking happy mails? Then this is the perfect page! Although since I shifted to digital planning, I don't really have happy mails anymore - maybe happy emails or downloads?

Charts

Charts page is another paper template that you can use for expenses or lists.

Monthly

The Monthly page is clickable to Weekly and Daily. You can easily access each month by clicking on the Right side tabs. Use this page to easily track your appointments and occasions for the whole month. You can also track your bills and subscriptions here so you'd know when to pay or add your project deadlines and meetings.

Monthly Overview Goals

The Monthly Overview page is right after the Monthly spread or just before the Weekly page. You can put your ideas and priorities for the whole month on this page. Remember to add a lot of visuals - photos and stickers so you won't have to fill every box in case you can't.

Weekly

You can use Weekly Planner to track your meals or menu for the week. Write the ingredients or recipe in the bigger boxes. The top 3 boxes can be used for your top 3 priorities this week.

Daily

The Daily page contains a calendar that is clickable to Weekly and Daily. You can use color blocks to track your schedule. Add stickers or photos for your Mood and Activity.

Braindump

You can access the Braindump page every after the last day of the week. Make your braindump page beautiful by adding visuals such as photos and stickers. Focus on what you want to achieve for next week or what you can improve on.

Health

The Health section focus solely on the activities that make you feel good physically without feeling any guilt. Track your workouts, runs, dance class, yoga, stretching, water intake, sleep, meals and add memoji to the Notes boxes.

Intentions

Weekly Intentions page serves as a guided-journal page where you can put which habits that make you feel good, what you like to see manifest this week, what limits you the most right now and how you can change it, write your mantra, describe the person you want to be this week and positive affirmation.

Gratitude

This is super helpful for your personal growth. You have to be appreciative even with the little things - like how your food has been properly prepared by chefs or crew in fast food, how people you don't normally notice makes your life easier and so much more.

2021 Goals

Track your most important goals monthly and add the things that hinder you to accomplish it so it'll be easier for you to focus on each goal. For example, you have 3 goals but you are having difficulties finishing them because of a low budget or maybe time constraint - these are what you call roadblocks that prevent you from achieving your top goals. Identifying your roadblocks will help you focus more on what needs to be done.

Vision Board

Add a lot of photos here. Your vision board should look engaging and encouraging!

Reflection

Reflect on the things that made you happy or cry for this week and use that to improve yourself and be prepared for the next week.

Affirmations

Add your daily mantras or powerful and positive quotes that will help you turn a bad day into a great one!

Recipes

Be your own chef by utilizing this Recipe page. Browse the internet for recipes or ask your mom's special recipe and put it here.

Cleaning

Cleaning doesn't only apply to tangible items, you can clean your cloud storage, your debts, your To Be Read shelves, your unused planners, or just try to clear out your mind.

Habits

Create and maintain a good and healthy habit. You can track your water intake, stretching, exercise, or a minimum of 8 hours of sleep and reward yourself when you complete your goal.

Mood Tracker

Mood tracker can be really vague but you can make it fun by putting your own legends or mood colors.

Birthday

I enjoy writing down my family and friends' birthdays. This reminds me to greet them on their special day when life gets busy!

I used to want to be an artist but then i stopped drawing for like 7 years. I want to go back but i'm scared and dont know where to start. So yes, i am interested in those drawing videos can you post them if you dont mind? ^_^

Of course!! I am in the same situation as you actually. I used to draw a lot in middle school (2010-2012) but my depression worsened during high school and in college, I’d only draw as a distraction, never seeking to study or improve. I decided to get back this year, since I decided drawing was the only thing I could see myself doing professionally. I felt very lost, because how do you get back? How do you know what’s your actual, current, art skill? What are your weaknesses? Your strong points?

That’s how I learned to study the fundmentals of art. Because visual art is not a skill. It is a set of skills, if you are very good at anatomy but not really when coming to painting your art is going to look differently than someone who learned anatomy in how to draw manga books but paint like a pro. I am going to divide this post in categories, Also, all the videos I link I also recommend all the channels they are from! My favorites are The Drawing Database, Sycra and Ganev, Sycra and The Drawing Databse have a little of everything and are great at explaining. Ganev is a bit sarcastic but I like the way he teaches. Anatomy Anatomy is something I think it’s one the most crucials things to learn in order to make your drawing look good. Once you understand how joints work you’ll be able to see how bones and muscles move. And this goes for anything with a skeleton. It’s one of those things of you learn the rules before breaking them. Gesture Gesture drawing is a method of capturing figures in exaggerated poses, usually drawn quickly. Value Studying value is very much the study of light and shadow. Digital Media Digital art is how everyone’s been doing art these days. It doesn’t matter if you’re doing with your phone or your computer. I don’t do art on my phone, I know the most used app is mediabang for android and procreate for apple, and I think anyone who is able to do art with their finger is very skilled. If you are like me and prefer doing art on your computer, you probably have your tablet. If not, well you should have. Not having a tablet is not an option if you want to get better at art ^^’ Best tablet for beginners in 2020. Or you can just buy an old used one, if it still works, and you are a beginner, a small intuos is all you need. When talking about softwares, the three big ones I see people using are: Photoshop, Clip Paint Studio and Paint Tool Sai. The best one is CPS, but I find Sai easier to navigate, but CPS is extremely complete and I hope to be able to master it someday. CPS Tutorials. I don’t have much to say about photoshop, people use it mostly because they’ve been using it forever lol I divide my digital painting process in steps: Sketch/Lineart/Color Blocking/Shading/Blending/Color correction. Sketch is the basics, draw your idea. Lineart is to clean your sketch. Color Blocking is to color your drawing one color, so it’s easier to work in it. Shading is to understand where the lighting sources are coming from and apply them. Blending is to blend the colors of your drawing with brushes. Color correction is when I use filters of hue/saturation and others to make the drawing more appealing. Exercises It’s no secret that to improve on art, you must pratice. Everyday, even if it’s just a little! Meet Zeph, the Composer of Your Coming-of-Age Soundtrack

Zephani Jong, better known simply as Zeph, is a singer-songwriter, producer, and shitposter (be sure to check out zephcore for all your meme needs) who knew music was her destiny. Hailing from Ellicott City, Maryland, the 22-year-old started taking piano lessons when she was three-years-old and became interested in making her own songs and music production after a trip to the Apple store for a kid's tutorial on GarageBand.

Armed with an iPad, the then 10-year old began her songwriting career. "I didn't start writing lyrics to my music until two or three years ago, she confesses in an interview with Alt Press. "I started posting little snippets of what I made onto Instagram. I was really nervous because I had never done that before, but people really liked it, so I kept doing it." Wanting to create movie soundtracks and inspired by composers like Hans Zimmer and artists like Owl City and Jeremy Zucker, Zeph took the first steps towards creating music that expressed her innermost thoughts and uncertain emotions.

In December of 2018, Zeph released her first full-length song, "Forever & Always," after teasing a demo of the chorus on Instagram. The single has now amassed more than 13 million streams on Spotify and was just a taste of what was to come for the new artist. Following that initial bout of success, in 2020, she dropped two more singles, "Lucky" and "Ways to Go," before releasing her first EP that November, goodnight moon, an intimate six-track compilation of demos.

2021 would prove to be Zeph's busiest year to date. In April, she featured on Thomston's song "Magnolia." Zeph, according to Thomston, brought an "unfiltered angst" to a track that explores romanticizing summer while navigating feelings of isolation and loneliness. Soon after, Zeph was swiftly signed to indie label Neon Gold Records. She dropped her singles "are you?" and "friends or not" that summer, both with accompanying colorful music videos featuring odd and unexpected plot points.

Her highly-anticipated EP, scared of everything, finally arrived October 15, 2021. The self-produced six-track record is short and sweet and mixes endearing bedroom pop with beautiful strings arrangements, demonstrating her endless potential as an artist. The singer then ended her year on a high note, opening on select dates for Waterpark's headlining tour with Arrested Youth and phem.

Although no announcements for what's to come have been made yet, Zeph has made it clear that she’s focused on growing and becoming the artist she ultimately wants to be. "My goal is to just keep making music," she shares with Alt Press. "I don't really care about blowing up and all that because that's a lot of pressure. I just like that I can do this as a job, and people relate to it."

✅ Looking back at WWDC 2021

Today was the last day of WWDC 2021. While the main event has concluded, WWDC Community Week continues throughout the weekend! The last few days of labs, sessions, meetups, and code have been exhilarating. There are still numerous ideas to explore, so I will keep releasing new tutorials and apps, and you can keep following along with me.

This year I attended 15 Labs with Apple engineers, which were all incredible experiences to ask questions about the new frameworks and resolve bugs I'm running into in code. Today alone I attended 6 Labs, and here are the highlights!

RealityKit 🤳

I attended all three RealityKit Labs this week, and each time I gained fresh insights about the latest updates. From custom meshes to dynamic particle systems to transparent textures to the subtleties of shaders, I used what I learned in the labs to create educational posts and lead meetups where I introduced other developers to RealityKit.

With Object Capture and my new companion app, you can create realistic 3D models just by uploading photos taken on your iPhone. At this lab I inquired about scanning entire rooms with Object Capture and received tips on how to create the highest quality scans.

Tumblr doesn't yet have any AR features, but the combination of Object Capture and RealityKit 2 makes it a perfect time to start creating the future of immersive blogging.

ARKit ✨

ARKit is the magic behind the scenes that powers RealityKit apps. I worked with engineers to try out my imaginative use cases for the LiDAR and the 3D scan of the real world new LiDAR devices can create.

Machine Learning 🤖

I've been working with machine learning (ML) models on-device ever since I transformed a ride-on toy Mini Cooper into a self driving car. The watchOS team helped me improve the performance of my Apple Watch app's syncing process using Watch Connectivity, a framework to keep iPhone and Apple Watch on the same page.

I'd love to see Tumblr on Apple Watch, especially now that developers can take advantage of the always-on display on Apple Watch Series 5 and 6. Instead of showing a generic clock view, developers can keep relevant information available at a glance while the user's wrist is resting.

HomeKit 🏠

The announcement of Siri support on third party devices at the Keynote piqued my interest at once. As a hardware developer and Raspberry Pi enthusiast, I imagined opening up Siri to embedded devices, similar to the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa SDKs that have existed for a few years.

Unfortunately, third party Siri devices will be initially restricted to select Apple MFI partners at launch, but I remain hopeful that Apple will open up support to more developers in the future.

SwiftUI 📱

Last but not least, SwiftUI received countless updates to make it even easier to build entire apps in the UI framework that is redefining iOS development.

I was lucky to receive an appointment with the engineers who work on SwiftUI Data Flow, and they helped me navigate a complex use case for communicating and syncing state between SwiftUI and UIKit code.

How to Start a Successful Podcast in 2020

Podcast listening continues to grow tremendously. According to Edison Research, the number of Americans listening to podcasts every week has increased 175% in the past five years, with approximately 90 million listening to a podcast every month.

As a business owner, learning how to start a podcast is something to consider to help you reach this growing audience and expand your business through content marketing.

You don't have to be a very technical person, nor do you require a lot of money to learn how to make a podcast. This guide will be your A-Z step-by-step tutorial on how to get started with audio podcasting and why you should create a podcast. We will cover everything from the technical to the summary of podcasting concepts.

How to start a podcast

To start a podcast, at a minimum, you must:

Propose a concept (a subject, name, format, and target length for each episode). Design illustrations and write a description to "bookmark" your podcast. Record and edit your audio files (like MP3). A microphone is recommended (more on the podcast team below). Find a place to host your files (like a file host that specializes in podcasts, like Libsyn or Podbean). Distribute these audio files in an RSS feed so that they can be distributed through Apple Podcasts and downloaded or streamed on any device upon request.

How podcasting works

Podcasts can be played in two ways.

On Apple Podcasts, there are dozens of categories and subcategories where listeners are actively searching for new content.

This means that your podcast or vlog content will be highly targeted. People interested in your topic can search for it.

In 2015, podcasts had a balanced demographic, with listeners who were equally adult males and females between the ages of 18 and 44.

However, 2019 Edison data shows that podcast listeners leaned slightly more masculine and slightly older (35-54 years) in recent years.

Lastly, starting a podcast allows you to position yourself as an authority on your topic. It helps to build your audience and also makes it easier to sell your product or service, since you are the credible source.

Being seen as an authority can help influence potential customers to buy your products.

Why does podcasting work as a content platform?

Podcasts are a popular content platform because they are easy to consume. People can listen to podcasts on the go, in the car, at the gym, and even at work.

Starting with your own podcast

Learning how to start a podcast begins with identifying the premise or topic. Each episode must be relevant to that premise. For some, this topic will be obvious. For others, especially in unique industries and niches, you will need to be creative about your topic.

For example, if you sell sunglasses, you may not be able to start a podcast exclusively about sunglasses. However, if your customers are world travelers, then perhaps a travel podcast is a better topic.

Your topic will also be reduced to what you are expert or passionate about. Sometimes if you are lucky you will be both.

Before committing to a topic, check to see if there is enough to talk about. Try to create a list of at least 10-15 episodes. Then look for similar podcast recommendations on Apple Podcasts and examine their popularity, such as the number of reviews and the number of followers on social media. Competition is a good thing! It can tell you if the topic is workable or not.

The next important component is the podcast format. What will your podcast be like and how will it be structured? Here are some ideas:

Lastly, how long will each of your episodes last? It's a good idea to have a consistent episode length so your listeners know what to expect. Cover art

Your podcast cover must be beautiful. Don't neglect this aspect of your podcast, as Apple Podcasts in particular seems to only feature podcasts (more on that later) with professional-looking artwork. You may need to spend some money hiring a professional to design your cover. Whether you do it yourself or hire a professional, use words and images that are large enough to be clearly readable in almost any size.

Take a look at the artwork that catches the eye on Apple podcasts and model your cover later. I recommend trying Fiverr or, better yet, hiring an Upwork graphic designer to create something beautiful for your podcast. Your cover must be a minimum of 1400 x 1400 and a maximum of 2048 x 2048.

Podcast name

The name of your podcast should speak to you and your audience. Ideally, listeners should know what the podcast is about just by name. Having a very descriptive name can help. However, this is not entirely necessary, as most podcast platforms include a "hook" or a short description along with the podcast name. This helps optimize the search capabilities of your podcast on platforms such as Apple Podcasts or Google Play. For example, "Grub Podcast: All About Healthy Eating and Helping You Cook Better" or "Xtreme: Interviews with Famous Skateboarders, such as Tony Hawk, Chad Muska, and Rick Howard."

Category / subcategory

There are dozens of categories and subcategories in Apple podcasts, from arts and politics to comedy and religion. Choose the category that best suits your theme. It does not need to be the exact subject. If you're having trouble deciding on a category, look at other podcasters on Apple Podcasts that are similar to yours and write down which category and subcategory they use.

Podcast Description

You don't want to skimp on your podcast description. You should include as many relevant keywords as possible. This will help with search engine optimization (SEO) of your podcast listings. Sketchnoting Dive into RealityKit 2

The first session I watched today at WWDC 2021 was Dive into RealityKit 2, an overview of the updates to Apple’s newest augmented reality framework. At WWDC Community Week, GoodNotes highlighted sketchnoting in a tutorial session, so I thought I’d give this format a try and provide a quick visualization of the new updates. I’ve been writing RealityKit tutorials since its initial release at WWDC 2019 with my series RealityKit Snippets, and its been my 3D graphics framework of choice since then for AR apps.

Custom Shaders & Meshes

RealityKit 2 brings the framework to the next level with custom shaders and meshes, features that let developers customize materials and graphics and generate 3D shapes/content on the fly. This includes the steaming pizzas and confetti that Apple highlighted at the Keynote on Monday. While RealityKit remains a high-level and approachable framework to use, the new customization options provide control over content that used to require SceneKit or Metal.

Faces

With the new mesh features, you can access face meshes from the TrueDepth camera and modify the materials and texture. For example, the session showed off a face painting app with glitter. This feature will be great for AR photo filters that need to place content that fits to the face's shape.

Audio

Spatial Audio also received as mention, with a new AudioBufferResource that lets you create spatial-aware sounds dynamically instead of loading from a static file.

Materials

I've been waiting for transparent materials in AR for over three years, and I'm so excited that it's finally here! Image and video textures can now include alpha channels, so 2D content can have irregular borders. Going along with the theme of customization, RealityKit 2 provides full control over physically based materials from the USD format.

Entity-Component System

The session also highlighted updates to the Entity-Component System, the architecture that RealityKit apps follow to organize apps. The session introduced Systems, a way to control 3D models, listen for updates, and coordinate events. EntityQuery is a new way to search a scene for entities with specified components, a great task for a System to manage.

The session encouraged developers to include all state and properties for objects in Components instead of subclassing Entity. Entity should be used a container of components with an identifier, so all information about the appearance, animation, behaviors, and other state should belong in components.

Animation

It is now possible to blend multiple animations together, adjust the speed, and work with animation timelines. Again, it will be easier to tailor animations beyond what a USDZ already contains.

Character Controller

Leveraging a 3D reconstruction of the world from the LiDAR on iPad Pro and iPhone 12 Pro, Scene Understanding makes AR experiences even more realistic by allowing virtual content to collide with and be occluded by the real world. In my NSSpain 2020 presentation, I built an AR racing game with Scene Understanding.

New this year, a Character Controller makes it easier to work with user-controlled objects. Simply define a CapsuleShape that takes the shape and size of the 3D model to detect collisions with the world around you. Then you can call the move(to:) method to have the character navigate around real obstacles on its way to the final destination. Or, if you'd prefer a more direct path, teleport(to:) will move the object without paying attention to objects in the way.

That is all the major announcements included in the Dive into RealityKit 2 session! I will be writing more about the new sessions later this week, which will go into more detail about these new features.

Your Home folder is the most important folder for you as a user — or at least the one where you stash most of your files. It is strongly recommend that you store all the files you create in subfolders within your Home folder — preferably, in subfolders in your Home/Documents folder.

When you open your Home folder, you see a Finder window with a little house icon and your short username in the title bar. Seeing your short username in the title bar tells you that you’re in your Home folder. Every user has a Home folder named after his or her short username.

Find Folders On Mac

If your Mac has more than one user, you can see the other users’ Home folders in your Users folder, but OS X prevents you from opening files from or saving files to them.

By default, your Home folder has several folders inside it created by OS X. The following four are the most important:

Desktop: If you put items (files, folders, applications, or aliases) on the Desktop, they’re actually stored in the Desktop folder.

Documents: This is the place to put all the documents (letters, spreadsheets, recipes, and novels) that you create.

Library: This Library folder is invisible in Mavericks. Rest assured that even though it’s hidden, it’s still one of the most important folders in your Home folder, containing Preferences, fonts available only to you, and other stuff that you expect to use.

Public: If others on your local area network use file sharing to connect with your Mac, they can’t see or use the files or folders in your Home folder, but they can share files you’ve stored in your Home folder’s Public folder.

You can create more folders, if you like. In fact, every folder that you ever create (at least every one you create on this particular hard drive or volume) should be within your Home folder.

Photos in your System Photo Library are available in apps like iMovie, Pages, and Keynote. You can also sync them to iOS devices and view them on Apple TV. And if you want to use your own images as your desktop picture or screen saver, the images need to be in your System Photo Library before you can select them in System Preferences.

If you have only one photo library, then it's the System Photo Library. Otherwise, the first photo library that you create or open in Photos will become the System Photo Library. If you have more than one library, you might need to designate a System Photo Library, so other apps can access the photos and videos you want them to use.

Follow these steps to designate a System Photo Library:

Quit Photos.

Hold down the Option key and open Photos. One of the photo libraries is already designated as YourLibraryName (System Photo Library).

Choose the library you want to designate as the System Photo Library.

After Photos opens the library, choose Photos > Preferences from the menu bar.

Click the General tab.

Click the Use as System Photo Library button.

If you open a second or different library in the Photos app, and you haven't designated it as the System Photo Library, other applications will use photos from the original System Photo Library. Hold down the Option key when you open Photos to see which library is set as the System Photo Library.

You can use iCloud Photos, Shared Albums, and My Photo Stream only with the System Photo Library. If you choose a different library in Photos without designating it as the System Photo Library, the iCloud tab in Photos preferences is disabled: Sonos and itunes library.

If you designate a new library as the System Photo Library and then turn on iCloud Photos, the photos and videos in the new library will merge with those already in your iCloud Photos. If you want to keep the contents of your photo libraries separate, don’t turn on iCloud Photos for more than one library in Photos.
