Archie Andrews x brother reader
“Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be trick-or-treating?”
Tumblr media
Bringing the chicken drumstick up to your lips, you took a large bite out of it, humming at the taste. Your attention drifted toward the stairs as Archie's loud footsteps echoed down the house and soon your younger brother rounded the corner.
"Hey!" He greeted cheerfully, blissfully unaware of how hard you were trying to keep yourself from laughing at his ridiculous costume. A bright blue superhero suit with the mask and all.
Raising a hand to cover your mouth, you spoke, "You're not going to a party dressed like that, right?"
"Nah, we're going trick-or-treating." Archie clarified with a shake of his head.
“Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be trick-or-treating?” You questioned teasingly but your brother wasn't phased in the slightest.
"Mom says you're never too old." He rebuked with a grin.
"Aren't you a little too old to be quoting mom?" You tilted your head, earning an eye roll in response. Once the door bell rung, Archie answered and stepped outside as Betty called out a greeting. With that, the two were off.

“Does he always do that?” Betty asked as her and Veronica watched out y/n’s bedroom window. They were currently having a sleepover but Archie and some of the Bulldogs were playing football out in the street.
“Yup.” Y/n let out a frustrated sigh as she pulled her hair up into a ponytail.
“Wow, Archie Andrews being a show off.” Veronica said amused as she to watched the redheaded boy.
“He never stops.” Y/n stated shaking her head as she glanced out the window for a second.
“Do you know why?” Betty questioned moving to sit across from y/n on the bed.
“I think he likes me, but if he knew anything about me. He wouldn’t.” She told them shaking her head. It had been going on for months at this point.
“Why do you say that?” Veronica tilted her head at Y/n’s statement. Confused about what she meant by it.
“I’m a Serpent Veronica. Archie hates the Serpents. And besides, I’m dating Sweet Pea.” Y/n shrugged and gave them a tight lipped smile, but it became real at the mention of Sweet Pea.
“I will say I love Archie and he’s a good guy but, Sweet Pea treats you like a princess.” Betty smiled at Y/n. Betty had known Archie forever but she had firsthand witnessed how Sweet Pea treats her friend in their relationship. And even Betty didn’t think Archie could treat her that good.
“Correction. He treats you like a Queen.” Veronica smiled coming around to sit on the bed with the both of them.
Y/n smiled widely at their comments. “Plus with all the beef going on between the bulldogs and the Serpents. It’d be worse once he knew FP treats me like a daughter.”
“FP treats you better than my father treats me.” Veronica admitted letting out a sigh that had frustration and sadness in it.
“Sorry V.” Betty rubbed her friend's upper arm.
“No worries. Hey, do you think FP could honorarly adopt me too?” Veronica asked y/n jokingly.
“I mean if you ask.” Y/n shrugged her shoulders but they all started laughing, not being able to hold it anymore.
It was only a week later at a game for the school that the girls along with y/n and Toni noticed Archie doing it again. Watching.
“He’s doing it again.” Veronica noted nudging the y/h/c-ed girl scooted next to her on the bleachers.
“This is just sad to watch.” Betty said watching the boy she grew up with, with squinted eyes.
“Sweet Pea’s going to be here soon. And for the record this is fun to watch.” Toni interjected as she sat down next to them. She found Archies actions to be quite entertaining much like Veronica but for different reasons.
“Once he sees the back of my jacket he’ll stop.” Y/n nodded, taking a hand full of popcorn from Toni. Y/n made sure to wear her Serpents jacket tonight. This needed to stop.
“Hey, babe.” Sweet Pea greeted kissing her on the cheek. Toni scooted over fromY/n so Sweet Pea could sit down next to her.
“Hey.” Y/n greeted Sweet Pea before he could sit down she stood to hug him, making sure her jacket faced the field as she did so.
“And he noticed.” Betty pointed out as the couple sat down.
“Wow.” Veronica shook her head with wide eyes. “Men.” she scoffed, as they all watched the attraction Archie had to Y/n leave him as he saw her jacket.
“What are they talking about?” Sweet Pea asked leaning in to whisper in Y/n’s ear.
“Nothing.” Y/n answered but she could tell he didn’t believe it. So Y/n turned a tiny bit to face him with her body, grabbing his hand bringing it to her lips. “Trust me Pea. If it was something worth telling, I’d tell you.”
“She would.” Betty stated in agreement.
Toni knew problems would only get worse if Sweet Pea knew exactly what they were talking about. “You or FP would be the first to know.”
And it was true but let's just hope Archie had the sense to not ever bring it up.

Archie smiles as he walks into his roommate's room. He saw him reading a comic book and had earbuds in as he walked towards him and tapped him on the shoulder. Y/N jumped slightly and when he saw it was Archie, he frowned. "You could knock Andrews."
"And miss the chance to scare the hell out of you? Not a chance." Archie grinned.
"Asshole."
Archie grinned as he gestures towards a young man behind him. "Y/N? This is my old New Yorker pal, Peter Parker. Peter? This is my cock slut of a roommate, Y/N L/N."
Y/N ignored that Archie called him a 'cock slut' for the moment as he stared at the young man. He was about three inches shorter than Archie. He had dark brown eyes and hair and a shy smile on his face. He wore a vitruvian pizza t-shirt and jeans. He was cute. Hi, there, my name is Peter. Wait, Archie already said that, damn it!"
Y/N chuckles. "Nice to meet you, Peter. And by the way Andrews. I am not a cock slut. Though, I might turn into one for your sexy friend over here." He winked at Peter as he blushed.
Archie grinned and crossed his arms. "Good to know."

Mother Dearest
Part Two
Pairing: FP Jones x Female!Reader
Warnings: None, afab reader
Words: 958
Summery: Mama Jones meets Betty
Previous | Next
Tumblr media
The next couple of days were spent in bliss. While you hated living in a trailer, it was home. Your family was home. You made sure Jug and JB were going to school, especially after getting Jellybean enrolled in school in Riverdale. You had officially moved back home.
You even got your old job back while FP was working with Fred at Andrews Construction. You got back into the habit of helping Jug with his writing.
One day, when you picked up JB from school you went ahead and headed to the high school to pick up Jughead. You stood in front of the school, leaning against the truck with JB sitting in the passenger seat playing with her Nintendo DS.
As you stood there, you kept getting glances from other students as school was let out. You had your hands in your pockets of your jeans as you crossed your legs with Timberlands on your feet. A flannel was over an old band t-shirt, which you were sure was your husbands from when you first started going out. You also had a jean jacket over that to keep you warm.
You then saw Jughead step out of the school with a pretty blonde girl, a raven haired girl, and a red headed boy. You were pretty sure that was Betty and Archie. Betty you vaguely remember from a couple times she played with the boys when they were younger. You and her mother, Alice, did not get along. Alice was ex-serpent which didn’t settle well with you as you had been a serpent since around the same time as FP. You didn’t trust her after she refused to acknowledge the fact that she came from the Southside.
While you were proud of the fact that you were a Serpent.
“Mrs. Jones!” Archie yelled loudly as he rushed to hug you. You laughed as you hugged him back. You always saw him as a second son and he always saw you as a second mother. You were always supportive of anything the kids did.
“Archie! You’ve gotten taller since I last saw you.” You told him as you let him go and patted his shoulder.
“That’s what happens when you get older.” He sassed with a grin on his lips.
You smiled and smacked him on the back of the head, making it jerk forward and him to scrunch his face up in a grimace. You always hit hard.
You then looked over at Jughead and saw him with his arm around Betty’s waist. You raised an eyebrow and Jug rushed to introduce the two girls. “Mom, I don’t know if you remember Betty, but this is Betty Cooper. My girlfriend.” He said kinda slowly as if he didn’t want you to know. “And this is Veronica Lodge.” He introduced the Hispanic girl on the other side of him.
“Hi, Mrs. Jones.” Betty said with a smile on her face. You smiled back and shook her hand that she held out.
“Hi, Betty. Yeah, I remember you. You sometimes played with the boys when you guys were younger. You guys can just call me Y/N. I don’t mind.” You turned to Archie. “I think I’ve told you multiple times.” He shrugged with a innocent smile. You laughed.
“Jughead, you didn’t tell me your mom was a badass.” Veronica said as she reached out her hand to shake.
You smirked and narrowed your eyes at her playfully. “Well that’s because she’s my mom. Although she has been my role model since I was maybe 5.” Jug said with a tone of sarcasm at the begin. “Not that I don’t love seeing you Mom. What are you doing here?”
You grinned. “You want a ride home, Jug?” You asked.
He made an ‘oh’ face as he threw his arm around Betty’s shoulders. “I was gonna walk Betty home.”
You smiled. “I can drive you both. Come on.” You then turned to the other two as Betty and Jug headed to the truck.
I think Betty was trying to be quiet but I heard her as she whispered to Jughead. “She is so much easier to talk to than your dad.” He chuckled.
“You two good?” You asked the other two high schoolers. Wanting to make sure they got home safe.
Veronica answered first. “Yeah, I’m at the Pembroke and it isn’t that far. Bye guys.” She then made her way in the direction of the Pembroke. You then turned to Archie.
“You good, kid?” You asked him.
“Yeah, dad should -” He was cut off as someone spoke up from behind you.
“Y/N?” You both turned around and saw Fred standing there.
“Hey, Fred!” You smiled. You missed your best friend. You had been friends with Fred and FP since you were all kids.
“Hey, dad.” Archie said as he walked over his dad. Fred patted his shoulder as he glanced at Archie before looking back at you. You smiled as you shoved your hands in your pockets of your jacket.
“Y/N. You’re back.” Fred smiled big at you.
“Yeah, hopefully for good.” You told him. He went to say something else but JB decided it would be a good time to honk the truck horn loudly.
Archie and Fred jumped at the loud sound while you set your face in a grimace of agitation.
“MA!!!! HURRY UP!”
You turned around with raised eyebrows. “Forsythia Penelope Jones!” You said sternly.
She shrunk down back into her seat as Jug laughed at her.
You sighed as you turned back to Fred and Archie who were chuckling.
“Well, I guess I’ll see you guys later.” You turned to the truck and went to the driver’s side with a wave over your shoulder.

 “...Please, Y/n, please. Just let me, come on, just this once, please?” Archie gasps above him, stroking his cock in quick, ravenous strokes as Y/n watches, already exhausted from his own orgasm.
This isn't the first time Y/n has heard the other guy beg him, it's not the first time Archie has begged him to let him cum on his face, but it's the first time he's wondered why Archie seems so hungry for it in instead of just saying no point-blank. It looks so unhygienic, not to mention disgusting, and Y/n can't figure out what makes Archie so willing to beg for it.
Archie never begs.
"Why do you want it?" Y/n finds himself asking, eyebrows raised lazily as he watches Archie more or less sob in delight above him. His hands are slowly stroking Archie's muscled thighs where they straddle his waist, but his eyes are focused on his boyfriend's face, watching as Archie's mouth drops open on another moan as he fucks his own fist. .
"Guh-fuck-it would look so good in it-covered in it," Archie gasps hoarsely, clenching his fist around the base of his cock to keep from coming as he thinks about it. “Fuck, you'd be so pretty, just using my cum. Looking so beautiful, looking like mine. I want to make you mine, can I? please y/n? Can I make you mine? Please pretty pretty Y/n please can I make you mine? I want I want-"
And fuck, if he's not making Y/n stupid with arousal listening to Archie beg like that. Hearing him wanting to claim Y/N like that… he's making his spent cock tingle with the need to harden again, even if it's only been a few minutes since he gushed down Archie's throat.
Why had he been so stupid and he hadn't asked his boyfriend why earlier? Why had he spent weeks telling his boyfriend no when the reason Archie wanted him in the first place was so devastating?
"Yes?" Y/n gives Archie a tired smile. “Do you want to make me yours? Do you want to mark me? Let everyone know that I'm yours?
"Fuck y/n, yes please, fuck yes please!" Archie curses above him, hips stuttering forward through his clenched fist. "Please, I want, can I?"
It's not even a question on his mind anymore, Y/n just wants it to happen yesterday as he listens to Archie spit every pleading word out of his mouth. The thought that just minutes before sounded positively unpleasant now sounds promising.
"Yeah, yeah, let's go," Y/n agrees, reaching out to cup Archie's butt and urging him forward, closer.
"-In fact?" Archie with his pants off, puzzled. His eyes widen and stare at him, his hips stopped where he had been furiously fucked through his own fist before. You will leave me? Can I- just- really?
"Yeah, come on," Y/n encourages, trying to drag him closer with he hands, "come on my face, come on, do it."
At first, Archie just stared at him for a moment, not believing what he was hearing, but then he just lunged forward, smashing his lips against Y/n's desperately. Y/n doesn't even have time to recover from the shock attack before Archie backs away again, crawling forward and once again stroking each other, only this time much closer to Y/n and with his penis pointing towards the swollen kiss. of T/n. His lips instead of he own muscular stomach.
"Mpfh," Archie groans as his hand flies over his cock, needing to squeeze his eyes shut so he doesn't die from how good it feels, how beautiful Y/n is beneath him. "I'm going to paint you so beautifully, I'm going to make you look so pretty, I'm going to..." And then he comes; thick streams of cum shoot all over y/n's beautiful face.
Y/n can feel the first string land on his cheek before he can squeeze his eyes shut, and just in time too, because right after he can feel something hit his closed eyelid, and he winces from how dirty everything is.
When Archie finally drops his shrinking penis from his hand, when he finally opens his eyes again, he can't help but catch his breath for a moment.
Y/n is absolutely awesome.
He has been fucking everywhere; over both of his cheeks, covering his nose, his chin, his forehead – he's cum hanging off his damn lashes, and it's cum all over his beautiful red-bitten lips. Archie can't help but moan as he sees how Y/n licks his bottom lip to pick up the thick liquid, he can't help but catch the boy in a dirty wet kiss as he watches him swallow.
Taking Y/n's jaws in his hands, Archie couldn't help but play with the cum on his boyfriend's cheeks with his thumbs, simply smearing it all over the pink skin before licking it all off.
Y/n flinches when he feels a tongue on his face, and groans when Archie kisses him again, sharing the salty cum on his tongue with an overeager Y/n. Burying his fingers in Archie's hair, Y/n lifts his hips into empty air, coming back from the sheer filth around him.
"Did you just-?" Archie asks, and Y/n nods, exhausted. Archie smiles. "Fucking amazing."
Y/n just rolls his eyes before weakly pushing his boyfriend away, snuggling up close to the big football player.
"Does this mean I can do that again?" Archie asks smugly, his hands running over Y/n's sensitive sides.
"It means you should get me a wipe," Y/n replies, tired. He is more than ready for a nap. "I feel ridiculously dirty." There was sweat, semen, and other fluid caked all over him, but since Y/n doubts he can stay awake for an entire shower, a washcloth will have to suffice.
“You're ridiculously dirty and amazing,” Archie smirks, but dutifully goes in search of said wipe.
Y/n hums as Archie cleans it up, hands catching the bigger boy as he throws the rag over his shoulder, and sighs as he sinks against Archie's body.
"But yeah," Y/n says a few minutes later, when he's almost asleep. "We are definitely exploring this again."
He can feel Archie moving his arm to his side, but he's already asleep before he can reprimand him.

Spin the Bottle
Jughead Jones x reader, afab/femme
Tumblr media
Warnings: daddy kink, praise, slight overstimulation, fingering
Word count: 2.9K+
It had been seven years since you last saw the town of Riverdale. Seven long years of rebuilding yourself after the horrors that you experienced during your residency.
Pulling into the familiar light yellow house that was the Andrews’ residence, your heart pounded. Things between you, and the group of people you had once considered your friends, went in a not-so-savory direction.
Last time you saw them, you got caught cheating on Jughead with Sweet Pea. You had no intentions of doing anything with Sweet Pea except to go undercover in the Ghoulies, but something in you snapped when you saw him in the pale moonlight.
Taking a deep breath, you raise your hand to knock on the door. You start to fidget and look around nervously. It didn’t take long for the door to swing open. On the other side, you see Archie Andrews, who didn’t look much different from when you saw him in high school.
He gives you a polite smile and escorts you inside. That’s where you’re led to the dining room. That same dining room where you and the rest of the gang came up with plans to stop Hiram or The Farm.
Memories flood your mind of the countless times where the five of you would sit around the table after Mary had made a delicious meal whenever she was in town. It was almost surreal being back here, and not just in Archie’s house but in Riverdale as a whole.
As soon as you walked in, you got Jughead’s attention first. His face went from one of a smile to one of sorrow. He remembered what you did to not only him, but his fellow Serpent. All of that pain resurfaced.
The rest gave you sympathy smiles as they went on about their own conversations. You sit awkwardly across from Jughead.
Finally, after the talking has died down a bit, you look at the beanie wearing comic book writer. “So, why was I called back? I thought you hated my guts.”
“Oh, y/n, I never truly hated you. Was I a little hurt? Absolutely, but you ran off before I could get a chance to tell you that.” He responds.
“I… oh.” Your voice drops to a whisper.
“Yeah…”
“What about Sweet Pea? I really honestly cared for him. I don’t know why I hurt him the way I did.”
“He was beat up about it for a while but eventually, he learned to forgive you, just like you should forgive yourself. We were in high school. We all did and said some stupid things.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
Betty then reenters the room. “So, the reason I had asked everyone is… yes everyone…” She pauses looking at you. “There’s something brewing here. I don’t know what it is but we need to find out. I do, however, have an inkling on who’s behind it.”
Veronica rolls her eyes. “My father. Of course it is. You know, he can never have enough. He’s so selfish and narcissistic. I should’ve put a hit on him a long time ago. Maybe that’s what I’ll do. I am tired of him thinking he can get anything just because of his name.” Sighs are shared between all of you.
“Okay, how are we going to find out more info? I want him out of my town.” Cheryl more or less demands it.
“That’s what we have to figure out but for right now, we need to lay low. We can’t let Hiram know we’re planning something.” Archie says.
“That’s fair.” You respond.
“So, what do we do in the meantime?” Betty inquires.
Cheryl’s eyes lit up, “We all go to Thornhill and relive the glory days of our youth with a rousing game of spin the bottle, mayhaps?”
There was a look shared between the group before your gaze landed on Jughead. To which you give a small smile.
Later that evening, after a nice meal at Pop’s, you arrive at the mansion known as the Blossom residence. The smell of maple syrup filling your nose as you exit Archie’s hot rod.
The sweet aroma had you feeling nostalgic for the old times. Where you would help them solve the mystery behind Jingle Jangle or Fizzle Rocks. You remember the times you spent at this very house just so Cheryl wouldn’t be alone with her family, much to her mother’s displeasure.
“Well, hello, ladies and gentlemen. Tonight, we will be having a spectacular evening filled with stories from when we were young. Now, please, follow me.” Cheryl instructs you all to the gathering room.
There, candles are laid out precisely around the room, as is the Cheryl Marjorie Blossom way. On the floor was a large round red carpet. The same red the HBIC herself always wore on her lips.
Gesturing, she implores you all to take a seat. You sit across from Jughead and in between Cheryl and Betty. In the center was a glass bottle.
“We will be pulling names out of a hat to determine the order.” Cheryl announces.
She holds the hat out in front of her and with a slow turn of her hand, she pulls out the first card. Dramatically, she turns it around before quickly reading it. “Kevin Keller!” She proudly shouts.
The son of the local sheriff leans forward and gives the bottle a whirl. He looks at the rest of the gang nervously as the bottle comes to a slow stop, pointing at Reggie. “Come on, Mantle, show me what you got.” Kevin states. The kiss was a decent one. Not too long and not too short.
Of course, you were the last one chosen. You had already received kisses from Veronica, Betty and even Cheryl. Cheryl’s having the most passion behind it, naturally.
Your hand was shaky as it landed on the bottle. Your heart raced as you spun it. You had hoped it wouldn’t land on anyone you didn’t really care for.
Eyes widening, you see who it came to a halt on. Your ex, Jughead Jones. A chorus of “Ohh’s” roared around you. Your vision tunneled a bit, focusing on just him.
You timidly scooch closer to him. He had a smirk on his face. He tucks a piece of hair behind your ear. “You’re just as pretty as I remember you being.” He comments.
A blush crosses your face. “Jug…” You playfully smack him.
You feel his hand on the back of your neck before he pulls you into the kiss. It felt as if the rest of the world melted away and it was just the two of you. A heat formed where it hadn’t in quite some time.
Betty and Veronica had to practically rip you two apart before you got too into it. You wipe your mouth of the saliva that had gathered there. By the time you regain your composure, you realize just how heavy you were breathing.
“Talk about a blaze of glory. It seems like an old flame just got rekindled.” Cheryl remarks to Archie.
Some of you had planned on staying at Thornhill that night. It was mainly the core four and then you. You make your way to your room for the night. The rooms you were to stay in had been randomly, or as you would come to find out not-so-randomly, picked by the bombshell herself.
It was then you turn the knob. Entering you see your belongings on the bed to the right as you look to the left, you notice a familiar looking duffle bag. After looking at it for a few more moments, it clicks as belonging to Jughead.
“Damn it, Cheryl.” You mutter under your breath.
“Why are we damning a Blossom family member? I’m not opposed, I would just like the reason.” You jump at hearing Jughead’s voice.
“O-Oh, it’s nothing.”
Jughead knew otherwise, however. “You know you can’t lie to me. You’ve never been able to.”
“I’m not lying.”
“Yes you are. I’m the only one who can see through that innocent exterior you shell yourself with. Now, tell me, what is it?” His voice was soft but stern.
“It’s… Cheryl knew what she was doing when she put you and I in the same room together.” You respond. You then sit on your bed awaiting for Jughead’s next statement.
A soft chuckle came from him, “Maybe, but that doesn’t matter. Let’s talk about that kiss, shall we?” The question was spoken in a teasing tone.
Your body temperature rose as each of his hands found the bed right next to your thighs. Your heart pounded in your ears as you went a tad lightheaded. You accidentally giggled when he lowered his head to yours so you were eye to eye.
The Serpent King looked at your plush thigh before sliding his hand over it. He doesn’t do much, just rests there. He remembered how you like to be teased. It got you off almost as much as the sex itself.
“It was almost as if you were desperate to kiss me. I could feel the pout in your lips against mine. So cute. Your desperation, that is. I also noticed the little whimpers you were letting out. Yeah, those ones. The ones you thought nobody could hear, but I remembered just how to pick those up even in the loudest of rooms.” He states as he gets closer to your ear.
His hand had reached up higher by the time he was done talking. It was sitting dangerously close to your clothed heat. A heat that was surely escaping. After all, you had decided to wear a skirt tonight.
“Come on, remember how it felt for me to reach my hand in these, always soaked, panties.”
Your breath hitched as you felt his touch on your clit once again. “It’s pulsing against my fingers, just like it did before. Tell me, y/n, have you been with anyone else after me?” He inquires.
“Mhm, I h-have, a few actually.” You stutter out.
“Have they made you feel as good as I did?” His fingers were now circling your sensitive bundle of nerves.
“N-No, they… You were the only one to truly satisfy me.”
“That’s what I thought.” The circles got faster, but only slightly.
Your legs had spread, unbeknownst to you. Your brows furrowed as you looked at your former lover in the eyes as he touched you like he once did. You tried to keep your wits about you. He was your ex, you really shouldn’t be doing this but at the same time, couples don’t stay apart forever in Riverdale.
“You’re so wet, princess. You must have gotten worked up earlier, or was this more… recent?”
“B-Both.”
“So you’ve been sitting around in wet panties this entire time? Dirty girl.” He teases.
“Y-Yes.”
“Poor little serpent. Sat there so wet and sticky. You could’ve just come to me immediately.”
Serpent… that was a nickname he loved to use on you during your time as the Serpent Queen. It always made you feel special when he used it. Like you were his prized possession.
Jughead never let up pressure once. He knew how you like to be touched and that’s what he was going to do.
The pleasure got to be too much and your mind snapped. “Daddy… I missed you.” You whine.
“Oh, you remembered my title. Good girl. Daddy missed his little princess too.” His voice is a touch raspy.
That’s when he inserts two fingers in your cunt. You fit around them like a glove. Almost as if your cunt was made to take his fingers. As a writer, his fingers were quite nimble. He knew which spots to hit and how much pressure to give.
Your hips rolled into his hand, grinding your clit against the palm of his hand. “Desperate little bunny. Humping my hand like that. God, you’re so fucking hot when you get like this.”
“I just want my Daddy to make me feel good.”
“Of course, you do. That’s all you ever wanted. I bet you thought about me over the years when you were touching yourself or even when you were with other guys, huh?” He teases.
You would be lying if you told him no. You thought about all the random hookups where you would accidentally moan out Jughead’s name or late at night, when your wand was on your clit and you were pressing down so hard while you grinded into it. You also remember how when you would hump your pillow, you sobbed wishing it was him.
“I did, Daddy. I thought about you so much. I just wanted to be your little girl again. I’m sorry I h-hurt you.”
“I forgive you. Now, why don’t you show me that pretty face you make when you cum?”
Your mouth hangs open slightly and you squeeze your thighs around his hand. “There it is. So gorgeous. Just like I remembered it.”
He slowed to a stop as your orgasm finished. It was intense. It almost left you gasping for air. You had forgotten just how good he could make you feel with just his fingers.
“Did you know we were going to get back together tonight, or did you wear this pretty little skirt just because?” Jughead keeps teasing you.
“I-I… please. I’m sorry, I just want you back.” You plead with tears in your eyes.
“Shh, it’s okay. Daddy forgives you. Now, just lay back and spread those pretty legs for me.” He gently commands. It was like you two had never broken up with how easy it was to remove each other’s clothing, save for your skirt and of course, his Serpent jacket he always liked to fuck you in.
Legs spreading easily apart so that Jughead can take his rightful place in between them. Your eyes get blown wide open when you see him above you at long last, after all these years. Thinking back, you recall those nights when you had your vibe on your clit, pretending it was him controlling it.
Just like before, he slid every inch of his thick cock inside you at an agonizingly slow pace. Again, he fit inside you like a glove. Your insides curved perfectly with his cock, which made it easier for him to hit your g-spot every time.
“I missed this sweet cunt, baby girl.” He growls.
“I missed your cock, Daddy.” You whimpered.
A quick passionate kiss was shared. Jughead also loved the way you moaned into his mouth. He drank up each and every one of them.
“That’s it, good girl. Fits around me so well, just like a good serpent should.” There he goes with that nickname again. You could cum right then and there but you held on. You held on until you wanted to drench the writer in your juices.
Your mind flashes back to a nickname he liked to be called. “H-Hellcaster!” You scream out.
He almost stops dead in his tracks but instead, he speeds up, fucking into you with reckless abandon. The name really got to him, made him feel powerful.
“Call me that again.” The command comes out in a growl.
“Hellcaster! Fuck!”
A wicked grin appeared on his face. “That’s right.”
His thumb made its way to your clit and rubbed roughly, sending your legs spasming. You were so close it was bordering on painful.
“D-Daddy! Please, gonna cum.”
“Cum all over my cock like a good girl.” He grabs you by the back of the neck and forces you to lock eyes with him.
Your vision blurred slightly when your orgasm rushed over you. You stayed true to your word and coated him in your squirt. Jughead followed suit not too long after you. “Shit!” He growled when his warm cum spurted into your swollen cunt.
“Messy, messy girl. Just how Daddy likes it.” He comments.
The next several moments were spent on the two of you coming down from your highs. He even gave your body some small massages.
Getting dressed in your pjs, you decide to head to the kitchen to get some water. As you open the door, your face drops when you see Betty, Archie, Veronica and even Cheryl standing there.
“U-Uh, how long have you been there?”
“I can’t believe Jug likes to be called Hellcaster in bed.” Veronica states. Shit, a while then. They all heard you call him Daddy. This takes the cake for the most embarrassing moment of your life.
“I do wonder what it’d be like for this pretty one to moan out Mommy.” She follows up. That sent a heat down to your already throbbing core.
“We’ll have to find out one day, now won’t we?” Jughead comes up behind you and snakes his arms around your waist.
“If you two are done, we would like to go to bed peacefully.” Cheryl almost demands.
“I don’t know, it has been a while since I’ve gotten to fuck her tight cunt, I might have to do it again.” Jughead teases.
The red head rolls her eyes. “Goodnight.” Was the last thing she said before practically storming off. One by one the rest followed.
“So about that water?” Jughead lightens the mood.
“Yeah, yeah, come on… Hellcaster.” You purr in his ear.
“Keep it up and I’ll fuck you over the kitchen counter.”
“I’m counting on it.” You end with a wink.

I can’t be your friend
Pairings: Archie Andrews x reader
Warning: Angst and Fluff
Summary: You have been struggling holding back your feelings for Archie, so your easy answer as to just ignore him. But him being your bestfriend made it alittle impossible. Suddenly at school he grabbed your hand and pulled you into the music room as he asked you “why are you ignoring me?” So, what do you do?
A/N: masterpost & links are pinned on my tumblr.
Tumblr media
He stood there just waiting for you to say something “Please tell me” he began as he walked over to you “why are you doing this?” He asked again “I don’t get it, out of the blue you just started to ignore me completely.” He sighed “I’m not mad but I care about you, can’t you just tell me what’s wrong please?” You just stood there frozen, he noticed so he walked over to you to reassure you with hand on your shoulder. You finally woke up from the warm feeling coming from his hand, you whimpered at the first contact.
He looked confused, “please?” He whispered. Before you looked him in the eyes and prepared you mentally before you finally said: “alright, I’ll try telling you”. He half smiled before nodded “ok.” You took a deep breath “but you have to promise me not to freak out or stop being my friend” you said with a shaky voice. He looked at you with a puzzling look before he nodded “sure, of course” he waited for you to start talking.
You thought about how to start telling him about this. Maybe its good to start with the beginning? Or maybe the end? Or maybe just tell him right out what’s been going on? Or maybe you should not tell him and walk out, or just lie to keep the friendship. But you knew that you couldn’t help yourself anymore, something had to happen.
You sure as hell don’t know what but you knew that you had to come clean. You woke up from your thoughts and just looked at him, and chuckled. “Well, I don’t know how to begin, honestly” you shaked your head in frustration. “There’s so much that has happened between us and I just dont know how to talk about this without hurting you or losing you” you sighed. “Look, just tell me” he gave me a half smile, “you can trust me, we are friends” he said as he sat down on a chair.
You sighed and said “I can’t do this, I don’t want us to be friends” you finally said and chuckled over how that might have sounded “wait, what?” He looked so confused and raised up from his chair. “I can’t be friends with you any longer because” you looked at him deep into his eyes as you walked over to him and kissed him deeply, his hands grabbed your arms and then he lifted his hans to slowly cup your face.
You broke the kiss out of shock and looked at him, waiting for him to say anything but then “Y\N, listen” he sighed, and seemt to struggle with his words. You shook your head and felt your tears coming up, “I’m sorry, I knew it, I’ll Leave and pretend this never happened” you said as you begin to run out the door.
Suddenly you felt his hand stopping you from leaving. “What do you want?” You whispered, he grabbed your neck and guided you close. “This” He simply put and kissed you deeply. “I just can’t” he began as he kissed you once more, “I can’t do this if it means that I will lose you, I don’t want this to end badly and lose you” he said as he kissed you once more, you couldn’t help but chuckle and hug him tightly “I don’t want to lose you either” you whispered as you hugged him tightly and kissed him. “You smell so good” you smiled and kissed him on his cheek as he chuckled. “Lets get out of here” he said and grabbed your hand, on your way to walk out of the music room hand in hand with Archie.
You couldn’t believe it, you had dreamed about this moment for so long. Literally in your dreams, now everyone at school would know that you and Archie are dating, like you were freaking out so much. You thought you were beginning to have an anxiety attack or something, so you stopped Archie from walking out “wait” you said and began breathing deeply, counting to ten.
He looked at you and knew what was going on, he grabbed you and pulled you into a hug before he said calmly “I’m here” he said and smiled. “Do you want to talk about it or do something?” He asked. He knew about your anxiety all to well, he’s been there for you for every attack. No matter how late or early it was.
He looked at you and said “how about some takeaway at pops, go back to my house?” He asked and you finally unfroze and looked up at him. “Yes, I would love too but, listen I’m so sorry-“ you began and he kissed you before you could finish your sentence “from now on I will kiss you every time you apologise of something that’s not your fault” he said with a smile, and you giggled. “It’s just allot, that’s all” you reasured him.
He kissed you once more “I’m here” he reasured you and you nodded, “let’s go” you said to him with a grin, he kissed you once more on your cheek and said “finally” as you walked outside the classroom, everyone stood there looking at you.
He looked at you with a grin and pulled you into a half hug as he kissed you at your chin. Betty and Veronica gave you the happiest smiles and said in unison “Finally!”. At the end of the hallway he kissed you deeply for everyone to see.

༺✩༻
“Y/n, wake up," I heard Dave whisper. I woke up and looked at the clock beside me and it read '7:02am'. "I can have five more minutes," I groaned. "You told me to wake you up at seven, it's two past seven," he replied. "Three more minutes then," I yawned. "Y/n. Get. Up." He said, nudging me to the edge of the bed. Then our baby, Alfie, started crying. "Alfie needs boob. I don't have any," he said, kissing my cheek. I groaned loudly and slugged to his room.
He came into Alfie's room mid feed and whistled. "You're so gross," I rolled my eyes and held back a laugh. "Says the one that eats food off her shirt," he replied, standing behind me and massaging my shoulders. "Would you rather me waste it or drop it on the floor," I said. "How much does this kid eat?" He asked. "However much he feels like every two to three hours," I replied. "I could eat that much," he said. "You do eat that much," I laughed lightly, "can you burp him?". He took Alfie and started patting his back. "Us drummers need their energy," he said. "And us mummy's need our energy but i don't empty the cupboards within five hours of the shop being done," I replied, going out the bedroom and into our room. "Maybe we should be an ingredient household," he mocked. "You'd eat flour," I said, changing into my blouse and skirt. Just as Dave was about to say something, Alfie burped, making Dave laugh.
"Okay, I'm off now. I've briefed you and once again, only call if he is dead or on fire," I said, grabbing my car keys and bag. "What happens in the death is in progress?" He joked. "David Eric Grohl," I scolded. "Have a great day," he said, kissing my lips. "You too. I know you can do this," I praised, heading out the door.
"Look who's back!" My work and best friend, Nicole, cheered as she ran over to give me a hug. "Back and more ready to work than ever," I smiled, squeezing her tight. "Sorry to ruin your mood but we have a meeting first thing," she said somewhat carefully. "And I'm already fantasising about killing Andy," I rolled my eyes as we headed to the meeting room.
"Ah, Y/n, welcome back! How's Dave and Alfie?" My boss, Andrew, said. "Dave is amazing, loving being a daddy. Archie is loving Dave. I'm loving... food, mainly," I replied. "Well, thank you for coming back. Let's jump right into the meeting," he said.
The meeting was very bland, just something about partnering with another company for a project.
I finally got back to my old office. I've missed the view. Through the completely glass windows, I could see the cityscape, windows glistening, cars dashing around and people tending to their everyday needs. My first piece of work since coming back was now on my desk, getting my blood flowing to get back to work.
Ten minutes after my lunch break and pump, my work phone started ringing. "Hello, you've reached Y/n at-" I started. "Y/n, help. He won't stop crying. I- I don't know w-what to do," I heard Dave say, distressed and tears evident in his voice. "Honey, what happened?" I replied, concern getting to me. "He won't stop crying and I've done everything. Feeding, diaper change, nap, play time, book. Everything," he cried. "Has he hurt anything or got nappy rash or got any more teeth coming through?" I asked, searching for a reason our son was literally wailing on the other side of the phone. "No, I've checked," he replied out of breath. "Okay, give me fifteen to twenty minutes and I will be there. Stay strong, handsome," I said, shoving my things back into my bag. "Okay. I love you," he said and hung up the phone.
"Andrew, I really need to go home. I'm so fucking sorry but Alfie is literally screaming murder," I rushed. "I understand. Will you be in tomorrow?" He replied. "Yes! Thank you!" I replied, yelling as I ran to the lift.
I got into my car and sped home, most likely earning myself a few speeding tickets on the way.
"Dave, angel, I'm home," I yelled from the front door, hearing Alfie screaming as loud as possible. "Help me," he cried, handing our son to me. "Look at me. You're doing fucking amazing, lots of people don't have dads because they can't handle it. But here you are, you're doing amazing," I praised.
I stripped Alfie down to his nappy and checked him all over for any indication of what could be making him make me and Dave go deaf. I lightly pressed on his stomach and I could feel the gas in his stomach. "He's got trapped gas," I sighed. "How? I burped him," he also sighed. "It happens to everyone, honey. He needs a little massage or some crap that I read in that stupid book," I said. "Teach me because if I have to go deaf from a child, I will shove my drumsticks in my chest," he sighed.
I showed him how to get the gas un trapped or whatever and the second he farted, he was silent. "Thank you so fucking much. I love you," he smiled tiredly, hugging me and kissing me. "Well, I'm home for the rest of the day and it's two forty-seven now. What should we do?" I asked, putting Alfie's outfit back on. "He missed nap time and I'm going to cry if I don't sleep soon so how about a nap?" He said, rubbing our sons back. "That sounds amazing I need to change into my pyjamas first so you have a little cuddle with the velociraptor," I replied, handing him the fucking dinosaur that came out of me. "I'd say he's a pterodactyl," he said, kissing our son on the head. "True. How about you put him to bed while I change," I suggested. "Deal," he agreed.
I changed into my pyjamas and saw Dave sprawled out on the bed in just his boxers. "Baby got back," I sang, slapping his ass. "How the tables have turned," he laughed as I pretty much just collapsed into bed. He pulled me to his chest and stroked my hair, kissing the top of my head. "I love you so much," he whispered. "I love you so much too," I replied, closing my eyes.

A/n: I don't write smut but I can go into a little bit of detail and then you can imagine what happens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your POV
It was a beautiful spring day in Riverdale and I was sitting at Pop's with Jughead across from me. I was watching the outside world through the window when I felt eyes on me, I turned around to see the eyes belonged to the beanie crowned boy sitting crossed from me. I rolled my eyes since he had this stupid smirk on his face.
" What's with the smirk Jug?" I questioned
" Oh nothing." He said
I leaned closer to him, which was hard to do to the table in the middle of us and said " I don't believe that one bit."
He let out a chuckle. " Aww darling, you'll know eventually."
I lied back into the seat and made a pout face while looking away from Jug. I could hear him letting out a laugh.
" Y/n/n come on. I was messing with you." He said
I tried to hold back my smile but it broke out when he said...
" I can see you smiling Y/n/n"
I looked at him and then got out of my side of the booth and walked over to his side. He was watching my every move. Once I was on his side I smiled and placed my hands on the side of his face and gave him a long passionate kiss. I felt him smile and he pulled me a little closer so our upper half were touching.
Jughead's POV
I pulled away from her soft pink lips and leaned my forehead against hers. I gave her a small smile before pulling away from her and going back to my computer. I felt her lie her head on my shoulder, so I looked over and saw her pretty y/e/c eyes staring back at mine. I gave her forehead a quick peck and then looked back at my story.
'Time Jump'
Its been about a couple hours since we both sat in our booth at Pops when I heard soft snores coming from the girl resting on my shoulder. I looked down and smiled at her relaxing face. I carefully closed my laptop and put it in my bag. I then shook her awake so we could make our way back to her house.
" Y/n/n, time to get up angel." I whispered while shaking her.
I heard her let out a little groan, but I saw her eyes open. She gave me a tiny small and started stretching.
" Ready to head home?" I questioned
She nodded her head and got up from her spot. I got up after her and swung my bag over my shoulder. We both headed out of Pops and made our way to her house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your POV
I was making my way to school when I heard someone run up to catch up to me. I slowed down and turned to find Betty. I gave her a confused face and said...
" Hi?"
She came to a stop and then we both continued walking together.
" Hi Y/n/n." She said
I gave her an awkward smile. I was about to say something but Betty beat me to it.
" I just want to tell you to leave Jughead alone."
I looked at her, " Why would I do that when he's my boyfriend?" I asked her confused
She gave me a look but told me " Because he and I kissed right in my bedroom this morning."
I gulped and felt tears well up in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall. I just turned back to looking at my feet and making it to school.
Archie's POV
I was standing by my locker looking through my music sheets when I heard someone walking up to me. I placed up then back down, but I saw a familiar pair of shoes in front of me. I looked up to find my best friend Y/n/n looking like she could cry. I closed my book and put my things on the floor next to me and wrapped my arms around her.
" What's wrong?" I whispered to her
" He..he kissed the one person I was worried he would kiss." She said
I sighed and just hugged her a little more tighter than I was before. I saw him walking down the hall looking for someone, which I could amuse Y/n/n. I whispered in her ear...
" Hey, let's go walk to class ok."
I felt her nod her head so I guided her to class.
Jughead's POV
I was walking down the hall to find Y/n/n because we normally meet up at our spot that we have outside of the school, but she was nowhere to be seen. My eyes scanned the halls of students until my eyes met with Archie's. I gave a closer look and found Y/n wrapped in his arms. I was confused on why they were being so touchy with each other, but shrugged it off. I started making my way over to them, when Archie pulled her away. Before I could make my way after them I felt Betty wrap her arm around my arm.
" Hey Juggie." she said
I looked at her and smiled, " Hi Betty."
" What's wrong Jug?" she questioned
" Nothing, it's just Archie and Y/n are being weird."
She scoffed and rolled her eyes. I gave her a confused look and dropped her arm from mine.
" What Betts, I can't be concerned about my girlfriend and best friend."
She rolled her eyes again. " You don't know?" she stated
Before I could answer the bell rang to get to class. She then gave me a smirk before walking to her class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Your POV
After class I started walking to the lunch table my friends and I sat at. When I got there I saw Kevin, Archie and Veronica. I smiled at the three of them before taking the seat on the end of Archie and Veronica's bench.
" Hey Y/n." Kevin said
I smiled and waved at him. I turned to find Veronica looking at me from over Archie.
" Yes V." I asked
" I just want to make sure you were okay. I heard you had a ruff morning."
I let out a sigh before giving her a reassuring smile. She gave me a small smile back. The three of us were just chatting while eating when Jug and Betty came over to the table. I looked down at my food and started messing with it.
What I didn't know was two out of the three friends I was sitting with were giving each other confused glances since they didn't know why I am being quite all of a sudden.
" Hey guys can we sit with you?" Betty asked
I heard the other ones say their answers and then I felt someone tap my shoulder.
" Y/n/n can we sit with you." Betty questioned
I just gave her a soft nod. They both took a seat on the other side where Kevin sat. I heard all of them talking until I felt their eyes turn to me, I looked up to see them all looking at me.
" What?" I questioned
" Do you agree?" Betty asked
I gave her a confused looked.
She sighed " Do you agree that Jug and I would be a cute couple."
Everyone then turned to Betty, I felt the tears coming back so I got up and headed to the school bathroom. When I was walking I didn't care about the tears at this point.
Archie's POV
"Betty what the hell is that about." I whispered shouted at her
She shrugged " What do you mean Arch?"
I looked at Kevin and Veronica before looking back at my best friends.
" Betty how could you kiss Jughead, and then have the audacity to tell Y/n/n this morning while walking to school? You know she came right to me and cried about it." I stated
I heard Veronica and Kevin gasp.
" Betts? Is that true." V asked
Betty looked down and then backed up to nod her head. V sighed and stood up dragging Kevin along.
" We're going to see if she is okay." She said
I gave her a small smile and nodded. Once she and Kevin were gone I looked to Jug.
" How could you let this happen? I thought you were in love with her."
Jug gave me a guilt look before opening his mouth. " I am sorry Arch but I lost feeling for her, but I didn't know how to tell her. I just pretended to be with her still."
" So how long have you guys been together." I questioned both of them.
" About a whole week." Betty told me with a smile
I rolled my eyes. " Betty you do know that you hurt such a sweet and loving girl."
It was her time to roll her eyes at me. " Oh Archie don't be jealous now. You could always date her now, I know how you were in love with her when Jug was dating her."
Jughead gave me a confused look. " Dude if you liked her, why didn't you tell me."
I shrugged my shoulders which made him sigh. I was starting to pack my things so I could head back to the school building to finish the day.
" Before we head in our directions. I want the both of you to apologize to her for me."
I got nods from the both of them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was about to held up to my door when I saw Y/n/n sitting on my porch with a new set of tears streaming down her face. I started walking up to her when she looked up and I could see her puffy eyes and her red face.
" Come over here." I whispered to her while holding my arms out for her.
Your POV
I walked into his arms while still crying. I felt him wrap his arms around me and then felt him rub up and down my back to calm me down.
When I was calm enough he let go and he grabbed my hand and led me into his house.
" Dad I'm home and I brought Y/n over." He shouted
I heard footsteps coming from the kitchen. I saw Fred standing there so I let go of Archie's hand and walked up to Fred. He pulled me into a hug almost instantly. I pulled away from the hug and went to stand by Archie again.
" Dad we're going to head to my room to hang."
" Okay guys, I need to head back to work but I should be back before it gets too late." Fred said
We both nodded and walked up the stairs to head to his room. Once we got to his room I immediately went to lie on his bed. I heard a chuckle coming from the doorway. I turned to give him a confused look.
" Y/n/n, what is it with every time you come in my room you always go to my bed." He questioned
" Because your bed is comfortable." I quietly said
" What, I can't hear you?" He said playfully
I turned around so I was sitting up and saw how closer he got, so I let out a little giggle.
" What are you doing?"
" Nothing you need to know." he said back
" Archie." I stated
He climbed on the bed and lied next to me so I made my way where my legs went over his side. I was now straddling his upper body. Archie then placed his hands on my hips. I leaned closer to him. I bit my lip.
" Hi." I whispered
He let out a chuckle.
Archie's POV
I looked at her lips then back at her gorgeous y/e/c eyes. I wanted to kiss her so bad but I didn't think I could stop when we started something. I felt her start to move around closer to the start of my pants. I then grabbed her to stop her movement. She then looked up at me and gave me a look. I sighed before saying...
" Y/n/n, I want to believe me I do, but we can't."
" Why?" she said quietly that I could barely hear her
I sat up which made her sit up. I looked her right in the eyes and I could see the broken girl that I found on my porch. She placed her arms around my neck and I then felt her hands play with the end of my hair. I let out a low groan before stopping her.
" I know you want to forget what happened with Betty and Jughead, but this is not the right way. I feel like I am taking advantage of you."
She looked down then back up at me. " But Arch, I want to do it with you right here right now. I am giving you my blessing to do anything you want to do."
I then pulled her closer to me so that our lips were just inches apart. I gave her a look with my eyes asking her for permission. She gave me a nod. I closed the gap between us and we started making out with each other.
Your POV
I wrapped my arms around his neck and played with the ends of his hair. I then deepened the kiss even more. He was the first to pull away so we could catch our breaths. I gave him a look which made him let out a low chuckle. I felt him grip me a little tighter and all of a sudden I felt his soft mattress.
“ Are you sure you want to do this?” He questioned me again
I looked at him with so much lust in my eyes. “ I do Archie. Please I need you so much right now.”
After I said that he immediately started to attack my neck while I let out a soft moan. I felt him play with the hem of my shirt. He then looked up and made sure it was ok which I gave him a nod. I sat up and pulled it over my head before pulling his shirt off. We both then took off our bottoms. Archie gave me one last look before we ended up having a long night.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up to the feeling of arms wrapped around my waist. I looked down to find that they belong to Archie. I started thinking of the night before and smiled.
“ Hey.” I heard Archie’s morning voice say
“ Hi.” I whispered
I turned over in his arms and felt him pull me closer to him. I sighed at the nice feeling.
“ You ready to head to school.” he said
I let out a groan of annoyance. He let out a chuckle.
We both got out of his bed to get dressed. I just got dressed back into my clothes from yesterday since I didn't have any over here. Archie turned around and throw me one of his shirts. I gave him a confused look.
“ Put that one on. I know you wouldn't want to wear the same outfit.” he stated
I gave him a generous smile. I quickly changed my shirt to his before making my way downstairs to eat something quick.
“ Oh, Y/n/n I didn't know you slept over.” Fred said
I let out an awkward laugh. “ I accidentally fell asleep.”
He nodded at me and started heading off to the door to head to work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Archie and I finally made it to the school and headed our separate ways. Once I made it to my locker I saw Jughead standing there. I sighed before saying...
“ Can I help you with something Jug.”
He turned to face me and gave me a questioned look “ What are you and Archie up to?”
I looked at him and said “ Why do you need to know? Are you jealous?”
It was his turn to give me a face. He let out a fake laugh “ What no.”
I rolled my eyes. “ Yea right. Have fun with Betty, you're going to need it.”
Before I could start walking he grabbed my wrist. “ Come on Y/n/n. I don’t like her like that.”
I scoffed and ripped my arm out of his grasp. “ Then why did you kiss her. She told me you kissed her in her room.”
Jug looked down which made me let out another scoff, “ That's what I thought.”
Jughead’s POV
I watched her walk away from me. I saw her figure getting smaller and smaller until she was fully gone out of my sight. I then felt Betty wrap her arm around me.
“ Hey babe.”
I looked at her and then just walked my way to class with her most likely following me like she normally does now these days.
All I could think about was losing the one girl that I really liked for one of my silly crushes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Third Person POV
2 months later
Archie and Y/n have been dating since the end of last summer and have been the happiest ever since. Jughead finally manned up and forgot what he did to his first love and officially started dating Betty. Veronica eventually found someone she loved and the five friends have had so much fun together ever since.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A/n- I just want to say I am giving no hate to Betty, I am in love with her in the show so just summing that up. But enjoy and comment, vote/like, and feel free to request more.

Archie Andrews- Frozen Ice
Tumblr media
Taken from my book on wattpad, just changed to fit a YN x Archie Andrews imagine
Cheryl hasn’t been answering her phone which is extremely worrying, especially after the text I had saying she was going to be with Jason. So now here we were are, Jughead, Archie, Veronica, Betty and I running the frozen Sweetwater River
“Oh my god there she is” I yell pointing to Cheryl stood breaking the ice.
“CHERYL STOP. WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Archie yells taking my hand and pulling me even closer to the frozen water. We attempt to run across the ice, but it’s not strong enough to hold our weight
"CHERYL PLEASE" Veronica yells "just come to the shore we can figure this out all together ok?"
“Cheryl she’s right. Just start walking to us slowly. We’ll help you” I shout
Cheryl nods her head and begins to take a step to walk back to us but the ice under us gives way. Forgetting that the ice is so thin we begin to run towards her. Archie tells me to go back to make sure I’m safe, but of course I don’t listen and continue to run. I watch as Archie begins breaking the ice with his fists to get to Cheryl. Jug manages to pull her out, but the ice breaking from underneath me
“YN!” is the last thing I hear before everything becomes muffled. The water is so cold that I feel numb. Soon enough everything goes black.
Suddenly I'm coughing up water with Archie sitting next to me and Betty holding my hand. The girls sigh in relief. I shiver feeling extremely cold
“Babe are you ok?”
“Y-yeah” I shiver “ch-Cheryl?” I look around to see Cheryl crying while Veronica is rubbing her arms up and down to try and keep her warm, or attempt to warm her up
"Let's get you warmed up ok?" Archie scoops me in his arms and carries me to his dads truck. Inside are some blankets that I wrap around myself.
"Oh my god YN are you ok?” mum and dad runs into the living room where I'm sat by the fire with Archie’s arm around me and a hot chocolate in my hands
"Mum, dad, I wasn't... I didn't.... It's not..." I splutter
"I know. Archie rang me and told me what happened, how you were trying to get to Cheryl"
"I should have listened to you Arch”
"Shhh shhhh it's ok. Your safe now thats all that matters. I'm not going to the Jubilee tonight. I’m going to stay here with you”
"Errr no your not you are going to that jubilee” I snap at Archie "we all are"
"No, you blacked out. I had to give you CPR"
"Archie I'm fine. Now go and get your guitar and get ready to play"
"Are you sure YN?" mum asks worriedly
"I'm sure"
"Welcome one and all to Riverdales 75th anniversary jubilee celebration" Mayor McCoy says into the microphone on the stage as we all clap "I couldn't be more thrilled to introduce my daughter Josie and her pussycats as they perform alongside our local hero Archie Andrews" Betty squeezes my hand a little, we're stood off to the side to watch. Once again everyone starts clapping
"Hi everyone. We're switching things up tonight we are singing a song that my boy Archie wrote" Josie says and the music starts. Archie starts playing his guitar and singing. My eyes start watering and I feel so proud of my boyfriend. When he's finished the song he walks off stage, I hug my him and Betty walks on to give her speech
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I'd like to thank Mayor McCoy for inviting me to speak on this historic day. 75 years of Riverdale. But what is Riverdale? It's the people right? You, me, friends, our neighbours. Riverdale is Archie Andrew. Kevin Keller is Riverdale, Veronica Lodge, YN YLN, but you know who else is Riverdale? FP Jones. We were so quick to blame for Jason's murder. Jughead Jones is Riverdale, the very soul of Riverdale. Without him, we would have lost Cheryl tonight and we would have never found out what truly happened to Jason. And yet how do we thank him? By banishing him. Which is what we do when the truth is to ugly in Riverdale. Truth being that Clifford Blossom was also Riverdale. Riverdales at a crossroads. If we don't face the reality of who and what we are then what happened to Jason could happen again. Riverdale must do better. We must do better" Betty finishes and the room is silent. I stand up and start to clap, I hear someone clapping behind me and turn to see Jughead clapping. Soon the whole room is stood up clapping.
After the jubilee we sit in Pops at a booth with a milkshake each
"To Archie Andrews and Jughead Jones who saves the cheerleaders and saved the town" Veronica says
"Actually I think that was Betty's speech" Arch says
"Here here to Betty Cooper"
"Cheers" we all says clinking our milkshakes together.
That night we had many milkshakes and that night in the booth at pops we felt safe, but deep down I know this feeling won't last and soon we will be back to doing what we seem to do best.... Solving murders

Right
Summary: 💀Archie Andrews/Reader, Reader thinks she’s not good enough for Archie, and she was right
You’ve been best friends with Archie Andrews before you knew what words were, you’d grown up next door to him, you’d been through all of elementary school and middle school with him. You were there when he was almost held back because he couldn’t read and there when he almost failed science.
He’s been there for you when your cat died and when your parents had been fighting about college funds and gotten divorced.
He’d been there for you throughout school and even when the southsiders coming over had rekindled your parents anger at each other.
When he kisses you after you climb into his window after your parents have a fight, it marks a change in your relationship. From best friends to boyfriend and girlfriend, you’re not surprised that no one questions it. The both of you getting together was probably the most normal thing to happen after Jason Blossom’s murder.
Archie’s grinning at you , hand running up and down your amr and you swat at it, trying to return your focus to the history test you need to study for.
“Babe, come on we can’t fail this test, if we both do there’s no way my mom will let me go out.”
“Y/N, there’s no way your mom will even bother being upset at you.” You huff a little and swipe all the notes off the table, folding them into your bag.
Archie laughs and waves goodbye, you were expecting him to come with you, but he stays sitting, grinning as Veronica and Betty sit where you once were, Archie doesn’t watch you leave and you wonder when that started.
”Hey can we-”
“Busy.”
“Are you-”
“Football.”
“Can you-”
“Music class.”
“Archie..”
“Veronica needs..” You don’t let him finish the latest excuse just nodding and then sighing, curling back into the library seat so you can actually get work done.
“What’s been up with you lately?” Archie slides across from you at Pop’s despite the spot next to you being free.
“I don’t know if we’re good together.”
“How can we not be?” You don’t respond just shrugging a little.
“I mean the fact you’re asking that makes me feel like you haven’t been paying attention to me at all.”
“Y/N, my friends are getting into-”
“Yeah friends! Not your girlfriend, I get making time for them, and comforting them when they’re going through some dark shit, but you shouldn’t be cutting me out of your life.”
“I’m not I’m just..”
“Putting your friends first in a way that’s excluding me, when was the last time we spent time alone, that wasn’t studying.”
“Well-” He nods to the current table and you’re about to respond but Jughead slides in next to Archie.
“So as I was saying last weekend.” He grins and Archie turns his head away from you.

Y/N walked into the kitchen and found his mother at the icebox, putting away the milk. She gives him a small glance. "I presume Polly's on her way back to New York City?"
"Yes. And I'm so jealous. She has... freedom, a career, a man she loves. That's more than any one of us here can say."
"Don't pick a fight with me, Y/N. I'm not in the mood. I'm not in the mood."
"So when are you going to stop?" Y/N asked her. Stop sabotaging our family?"
"Oh, is that what you think I'm doing?" Alice Cooper asked.
"Well, isn't it? You know what? You are a sad, lonely woman. And it is all your own fault. It's never been about Betty and her desire to have sex, or Polly's desire to be a burlesque dancer, or dad's secret love affair with Frank Andrews. Or with me wanting to be with Archie, no, it has always been about you. And I'm sick of giving you control over my life because you will ruin it."
"So what? You want to go? Fine. Go!" She tried to push past him, but he blocked her. "Oh, you should know that Archie and I are going to elope. And maybe I'll get a job where I can take off all my clothes. Then what will you tell your friends? Your son is queer and likes to be in the nude?"
The sharp smack to his face made Y/N gasp, but he wasn't surprised as he turned to his mother with a hand on his cheek. "I'm surprised it took you this long to do that." He walks out of the room.

Archie//there’s a million things that need fixing in this world, but you’ll never be one
Request: Can I request a reader/archie, where readers a southsider and her parents find out and like flip out, like super upset/worried, cause theyre worried archie thinks shes like a “charity case/ needs to be fixed by a northsider” kinda thing, keep up the amazing writing by the way!!! 😍😍❤️
hey!! i hope you all like this!! its a little angsty, a little fluffy, so like the perfect mix!! have a great day!! ❤️❤️
The sun setting over Sunnyside Trailer Park almost makes the place look homely. The soft pinks and yellows paint the off white trailers in a light glow, and from afar, it might be considered pretty.
You and Archie walk slowly through the worn down vans, both of you clinging on to the last minutes of your date. The two of you talk quietly, with small laughter and shy looks exchanged as the minutes count down. His fingers brush past your own a few times and he sends you a bashful yet nervous smile when you look at him.
You wave at a few of your neighbours, all of whom are watching with raised eyebrows and slight scowls as they follow the movements of the red-head walking beside you.
An outsider they all think.
Its obvious he doesn’t belong, he may as well be carrying a target as red as his hair on his back, one that screams ‘northsider’, but to you, he’s just Archie Andrews. The boy from your English class that asked a dumb question and made you laugh.
As long as they see him with you, he should be able to leave unharmed, this time at least, but just in case you’ve already sent a text to a few friends around the site to make sure he leaves in one piece.
You’d told him at the beginning of your date that you didn’t need walking home.You’ve been perfectly capable of handling yourself for years, its something engrained in you. But he insisted, and a secret part of you loved it.
Its nothing new that life on the southside is a little different to other places. Almost every part of your life is different to that of a northsider, and dating is no exception. So it nice to have a glimpse of what its supposed to be like, even if you are worried about him.
“This is it.” You stop in front of your trailer and you can’t not notice the disappointment that flashes through his eyes. He looks away from you, deciding to look around the row of trailers and you start preparing for the worst. Because yeah, he may have liked you at school or at Pop’s, but will he still like you when he see’s who you really are?
“Did your mom plant those?” He asks, pulling you from your thoughts. You look to where he’s pointing, and smile at the flowers surrounding the trailer. Whatever you were expecting him to say, it wasn’t that, but its a nice change of what you thought.
“I-er. Yeah. She did.” You stumble over your words, still slightly confused, but he doesn’t seem to notice. Instead he just smiles brightly at you and starts rambling about his own mom.
“I think your mom and mine would get on really well. She really likes gardening. When I was younger I used to ‘help’ her, but really I just ended up trampling over the flower beds. So she made my own little patch and bought me some seeds to plant.”
“Aw.” You laugh. “Thats really cute. Did you have your own little hat and gloves?”
“Who wears a hat to garden?”
“My mom.” You reply making him giggle.
“I should probably get going before it gets dark.” He says, and looks around again. You then remember where you are and disappointment settles in your bones.
“Good idea.”
“I do need to do something before I go.”
“Whats that?”
“Kiss you. If thats okay.” He adds the last part anxiously and large grin takes over your face as you look up at him.
“Thats more than okay.” You reply and take a step towards him. His hands cup your cheeks gently, while you wrap your arms around his neck. He closes his eyes first and you’re about to lean in when you notice movement out of the corner of your eye. You freeze and he opens his eyes to look at you confused.
“Is everything okay?” He asks, but you’re too busy watching the windows of your trailer.
The curtain hanging in the living room twitches slightly and you realize you now have company. You quickly pull away, putting enough space between the two of you and Archie looks at you confused. You glance towards the window and he follows your gaze, watching as the curtain moves quickly and soft footsteps move away, before looking back at you, with a slightly embarrassed smile.
“Sorry.”
“Its okay.” He laughs. “My mom is the same. She’d probably be waiting by the door if it was the other way round.”
“Same.” You sigh and look at your front door. “I’m gonna get interrogated when I walk through that door.” You grimace and he sends you a sympathetic smile.
“Next time you can walk me home and then it’ll be fair.” He replies, the mention of a next time makes you blush and look at the grass.
“Deal.” You smile.
“I will warn you though, my mom will question both of us.”
“Hmm, I’ll think about it then.” You tease and a small frown twitches at his lips. “I’m joking. I’d love to be interrogated by your mom.”
“Thats an odd thing to look forward to.” He laughs.
“Oh well.” You shrug and send him a soft smile.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” He laughs.
“Text me when you get home.” You tell him and he nods. You look around to make sure there’s no prying eyes anymore, before pressing a quick kiss to his cheek. It makes both of you blush and a giddy smiles takes over his appearance before he starts walking away.
You watch him until he disappears into the maze of trailers and your brain becomes full of mushy thoughts about him and the date you’ve just had. They play in your head on a loop, until they get replaced by thoughts of seeing him again and your future dates together.
That is until your hear a thud behind you and you have to push all of those away to mentally prepare for the 100 questions you’re going to get.
The door opens before you even reach it, and both your mom and dad are stood watching you with expectant looks on their faces. You sigh and slowly make your way up the steps, squeezing past them once you make it to the top.
The door closes and before you even take your jacket off, they start talking.
“Who was that?” Your mom asks first and a small smile takes over your appearance when you think of him.
“Archie.” You reply, taking your jacket off and hanging it up.
“Why was he walking you home?” Your dad wonders, trying to seem less forceful (and failing) than your mom.
“Because he wanted to.” You reply.
“Does he live around here?” He says.
“Nope.” You close your eyes, taking a deep breath and bracing yourself for the overreaction you’re going to get. “He lives on the northside.”
“What?” They say at the same time.
here we go.
“What do you mean he lives on the northside?” Your mom asks, her voice rising with each word and you have to hold your eye roll.
“He lives on the northside.” You repeat and she narrows her eyes at you.
“Calm down.” Your dad whispers and places a hand on her arm. “Are you friends? Dating?” He asks, and you feel yourself cringe at the sheer awkwardness of the conversation.
“Dating.” You have to force the words out and when you see the disappointment on both your parents faces you can’t help the ache in your chest.
“Okay.” Your mom nods slowly. She always does this when you tell her something ‘shocking’. The nod starts slow, but the more she thinks about it the quicker it gets and then your dad has to calm her down and take charge of whatever conversation you’re being forced into.
Today is no different and you watch the stages of your mom’s panic develop, before your dad faces you again. He’s got that look in his eyes, the stern yet loving parent. That look always makes you feel bad, no matter what you’ve done and you think he knows it.
“Y/n.” He starts. “We’re very happy that you’ve found someone you like.”
“Thank you.” You interrupt and he lets a deep breath out through his nose.
“But we’re a little bit worried about you.”
“Why?”
“He’s a northsider.” Your mom interrupts.
“And thats not an inherently bad thing.” Your dad tries to claw it back, but when your mom mumbles ‘it is’, he knows any chance at a mature conversation you could have had has long gone.
“What are you more annoyed by? The fact that he’s from the northside or the fact that I’m dating him. Its like you don’t want me to have a life.”
“It’s not that we don’t want you to have a life sweetheart.” Your dad sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
“We just want you to have a safe life. People on the northside think of us like we’re scum. What if he’s just using you to win a bet or as a dare that his friends made.” Your mom tries, now slightly calmer than before.
“That only happens in movies mom.”
“Or what if he thinks your some sort of charity case.” Your dad adds.
“He won’t because I’m not.”
“We know you’re not. But some people might. Some boys see a girl from ‘the wrong side of the tracks’ and think they need to be fixed.” Your mom replies.
“But I don’t and he doesn’t. He’s nice...and kind. And he isn’t like the other northsiders. It isn’t like what it used to be. People have moved on, and so have their views.”
“That may be what it seems like, but its not always the case.” She says, now losing her temper.
“Exactly. I mean, he might not see you as something to be fixed now, but when he realizes that living like this isn’t something to be romanized, it isn’t like some Cinderella story, that can be fixed with true love. When he realizes that its very real and very hard, he might want to try and fix you. And you don’t need fixing. You’re great the way you are.” Your dad interjects and you look at him annoyed.
“I know I don’t need fixing.”
“Well, thats good then.” They both say.
“So if I know I don’t need to be fixed, if you know it, and he knows it. What exactly is the problem?”
“Tha-thats not what we’re saying.” He stutters.
“I know what you’re saying, I just don’t agree with it” You challenge, crossing your arms over your chest.
“Y/n.” Your mom warns.
“You go on and on about how the northsiders judge us, but you’re doing exactly the same. Maybe if you actually met him, you’d realize that he’s sweet and kind and he knows exactly who I am and he still likes me, then you wouldn’t be saying all of this. But whatever, I’m going to bed.” You huff and stomp into your room, the door slams behind you and the whole trailer shakes.
You kick your shoes off and put your pyjama’s on before climbing into bed. Its only when you’re safely under the duvet do the tears start to pour, and quiet sobs pass your lips. Its a mix of anger and sadness but you can’t quite figure out which one you feel the most.
So you do the only thing you can do, you call Archie and pray that he made it out. It answers on the second tone and as soon as you hear his happy tone you feel yourself calm a little.
“I’m not home yet. But I am alive and out of the serpents pit.” He laughs. But when you don’t answer he starts to worry that he upset you. “Sorry, that was a really stupid joke.” He mentally curses himself. “Y/n?”
“Its okay.” You mumble and he lets out a sigh of relief.
“So you couldn’t get enough of me huh?” He’s back to his old self and there’s a flirtatious tone in his voice that you can’t help but roll your eyes at.
“Archie, I’m really sorry.” You sob and his eyebrows furrow.
“What? Whats happening? Are you okay?” He panics.
“No.” You cry.
“What? Do I need to come back? What’s happening.”
“No!” You say, rather quickly and that only worries him more. “Its nothing you can do.”
‘What is it?”
“My parents. I told them about us and they think you’re the worst.”
“That sucks.” He says and the tone makes you laugh a little.
“I know.”
“Tell me what happened.”
“Well, I got home and they asked who you were so I told you and then they asked if we were dating so I said yes, even though I knew what the answer would be. And they said that they were worried about me because they thought you would see me as a charity case and as something to be fixed. I tried to tell them that it wasn’t true but they just weren’t listening.” You ramble and his eyebrows knit in confusion.
People have thought countless of things about him before, but never has anyone thought he could fix something. He’s told he could break things before, many things, but never fix. However he realizes that this probably isn’t the best thing to say, and so he decides to save his joke for another time.
Instead he says something he has probably only ever said a handful of times before.
“It’s going to be okay. I’ll fix it.” He curses at the use of words, but he means it nonetheless.
Because he’s only known you for a few weeks, but he knows that he wants a future with you. You make him feel things he hasn’t felt before, and you make him feel things he didn’t think he’d ever be able to feel again. So he’s going to do whatever it takes to make sure whatever future he has with you, long or short..he has it.
“How?” You don’t sound convinced. He doesn’t blame you. He isn’t so convinced himself, but he’ll figure something out.
“I don’t know. But I will...I promise.”
Its silent for a few seconds, before he hears a beep over the phone and then silence. You sigh, placing your phone on the bedside table before sinking further into the covers.
You want nothing more than to believe him.
Archie Andrews, the boy who said something stupid in your English class and made you feel something you’ve never felt before.
----
Morning comes as a harsh reminder to the events of last night. The sunlight is bright and glaring through the windows and you curse yourself for being too upset to close the curtains. A dull headache appears and you squint, your eyes aching from the crying.
You can hear your parents hushed conversation outside your bedroom, they’re arguing over if they should come in, but after a few minutes they decide to leave you alone...thankfully.
Your head drops back onto the pillow as you decide to spend your Saturday in bed making up for the sleep you missed last night.
However when you hear a knock on the front door you have to force yourself to sit up again. Your eyebrows furrowing as you wonder if you’re parents told you anything about weekend visitors, but when your mind comes to blank, you just stare at your closed bedroom door confused while you listen to your dad open it.
There’s a hushed talking between two voices. One you recognize as your dad, but the other you can’t quite place. You hear your mom move from the kitchen and join your dad at the door, now all three of them talking quietly.
You frown, confused as to what the hell is going on, and drag yourself out of bed, bunching the duvet up as you go.
Slowly, you creep towards your bedroom door, making sure to avoid any noisy parts of the floor, and as soon as your beside the door, you crack it open a little and take a peek.
The first thing you see is the red hair. Its bright and wild, nothing like the way it usually is. And then you see him. Stood at your front door with two bunches of flowers in his hands. He looks almost frantic while he talks to your parents, and a small smile appears on your face.
Archie
“I just want to say that I didn’t mean to upset you.” He starts and your parents send each other a look.
“Archie.” Your dad starts.
“Please.” He says quickly. “I got these for you Mrs Y/l/n.” He practically shoves the flowers at your mom and you suppress a small laugh at the surprise on her face.
The fact that he’s trying makes you want to believe that everything will be okay, but the way your parents are looking at each other, squashes all hope you could have possibly had. “And I didn’t really know what you liked Mr Y/l/n, but I’d love to find out.”
“Thats very sweet.” Your mom begins, glancing back towards your door and you quickly hide. “But there’s really no need.”
“I er, I’m sorry if I offended either of you. Thats the last thing I wanted to do. I don’t see Y/n as a charity case or someone that needs to be fixed, not by me or anyone. I just see her as a girl that I really, really like, and that I hope she likes me back, even if its just a fraction of what I do.” You’ve moved back to the door by the time he gets to his last sentence, and the two of you make eye contact for a brief moment.
You open the door and slowly step outside, gaining the attention of all three of them. Archie is smiling at you, its soft and gentle and full of light and it makes you feel like you’re floating, like you’re the only person in the world. You smile back at him, sending him a small wave as you try and keep the blush off your cheeks.
Your parents watch the interaction, finding themselves mirrored in both of you. The shy looks and soft smiles remind them of when they were younger, and how they would look at each other.
Its not the most ideal of relationships. A northsider and a southsider, but its one thats just starting with millions of possibilities. And thats enough. So they send each other a look, before sighing and turning back to Archie. He’s still stood awkwardly by the door, completely unaware of the two adults watching him, he’s more interested in you, and making sure you’re okay.
“Come in Archie.”
They may not know everything about him, they may not trust him, but you do and thats good enough for them.

ARCHIE ANDREWS X READER
Big Little Town: Part Two
a/n: hello! very long chapter incoming! this one is kind of world build-y but i promise after this it’s angst galore. lmk if you want to be on a tag list, love you all and can’t wait to keep writing!
X
There hadn’t been much unpacking progress that afternoon. The girl had been in a pretty much constant state of fear and mingled excitement, so the only thing she’d managed was making her oak framed bed up with thick patterned quilts, and her window with a wispy white curtain. Archie saw her bring it upstairs and hang it up, of course. She’d noticed him eyeing her discreetly from his desk, but he was polite enough to pretend not to see what she was doing. After that the drapes had stayed closed. Now, the girl was heaving other objects into her room as a last minute distraction, the current item in question being a large gold framed mirror that she leaned decoratively against the wall opposite her bed. Her mother had helped her bring it up, and now they both stood in front of the mirror, staring at themselves in the vast reflection.
“What do you think?” her mother smiled.
She looked at herself, thinking. She hadn’t changed since earlier, but there was now a visible panic sweat building on her brow.
“I think I’m going to piss myself,” she concluded.
“Oh!?” her mother gaped wih surprise, giving her a light slap.
“Sorry,” she grumbled, turning away and sitting defeatedly on the edge of her bed.
“Don’t say that. It’s a blessing, really,” said her mother, sinking down beside her and placing a hand to her knee. “You have people coming right to you to try and be your friend!”
“How is that a blessing?” she replied dumbly with a furrow of her brows.
“Well,” she tried gently, “you aren’t so good at approaching other people first.”
The girl shot her mother one of those daggered glares she’d gotten so good at.
“Nevermind,” her mother dropped it with a scoff.
The girl stared down at her scuffed up sneakers, tapping them together uneasily.
“She’ll be here soon.”
“She?”
“Betty,” the girl explained. “She’s picking me up to take me to Pop’s.”
“I thought Fred Andrew's boy was doing that?” her mother said with surprise. “Doesn’t that make more sense? He lives right ther-”
“No,” the girl said. “Betty offered first.”
Lie. Immediately after receiving Archie’s invitation he’d asked to take her over but she made something up about Betty taking her and then had to frantically text Betty and lie to her that Archie couldn’t take her and then had to ask her to bring her instead and then-
“You really are bad at this lying thing,” her mother concluded her thought for her.
The girl gaped in mock hurt, but then dropped the expression, too lazy to even try pretending her lie wasn’t, well, a lie.
Then there was a ring at the doorbell. It was distant, but still, struck a fearful cord that sure sounded loud in the girl’s ears. She stood up slowly, tucking her phone into her jean’s tight back pocket and attempting to suck in a confident breath.
“Shame,” her mother’s cheeky words followed her out the room, “I wanted to see how much that Archie boy had grown.”
Thank goodness her back was to her mother as she descended the creaky stairs or she would’ve been in for a whirlwind of questions concerning the absolute red that seeped into her daughter’s cheeks.
. . .
Betty drove a little blue car that was, honestly, a little messy. Not that she was judging, it was just unexpected to see the neat blonde with a book scattered and paper strewn backseat. There was even a bundle of red yarn, like she was going crime solving or something. The thought made the girl laugh to herself. Yeah right.
The car was pretty quiet, (Y/N) thinking of her mother’s remark at her inability to approach people first, one which seemed very relevant at the moment.
“So, what sort of things are you looking forward to at school?” Betty finally broke the silence with some easy conversation.
The girl’s eyes flickered as she watched the flare of passing headlights, responding, “I hear you guys have a good music program?”
“Oh yeah,” Betty flashed her straight white teeth. “I’m awful at that stuff. Archie is great though!”
“Yeah I-” the girl shook her head and wrinkled her nose with embarrassment, “I know I… I used to know Archie. And you, kind of.”
Betty tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, not wanting to be rude but having no indication of who the girl was in her memory.
“I’m (Y/N),” she said, “which you know already. But my full name is (Y/N/) (Y/L/N).”
Betty repeated her full name slowly, trying to see if it rang any bells. She tried again but nothing stirred. She repeated it once more, and it took a second for it to actually hit her.
“OH MY GOD!” she hit the brakes with surprise, her blonde pony swinging.
She turned to get a look at the girl, a good look this time. Her perfect pink lips dropped open.
“You’re-” she shook her head, searching for the right words. Then she settled on gorgeous. “Not that you weren’t before,” she explained quickly, her lashes fluttering, “you’ve just changed a lot.”
Betty turned her big blue eyes slowly back to the road and started driving again with a short little laugh.
“Thanks,” the girl said bashfully, unsure of how else to reply. “You haven’t. Changed, I mean. You were always really cute.”
Betty let out an ugly snort, making the girl’s lips stretch wide into a smile.
“What?!”
“Please,” Betty scoffed. “I was not cute. I was embarrassing. I thought I was going to grow up to be either a princess, the president, or both simultaneously.”
“Are you kidding? That’s still my dream,” she joked, making Betty release a sweet airy laugh.
Sure enough, the girl found herself warming quickly to Betty Cooper.
“I was actually jealous of you, y’know?” Betty said as she turned her head to look at the girl with a grin.
“What? Me!?” she chortled. “Me, the weirdo with no friends?”
Betty shook her head, eyes back on the road now, “one friend.”
And just like that, the panic sweat was back.
“Archie?” she said nervously.
“Yeah, little Archie,” Betty rolled her eyes, “I had the biggest crush on him when we were kids.”
The girl gave a nod, twirling a piece of hair nervously around her index finger. Huh, looks like there was competition for her childhood crush. She couldn’t blame Betty for liking him. Any little girl with two eyes would’ve. Not wanting to sound too obvious, she asked, “do you still?”
Betty ugly snorted again, and then scolded herself for the reaction.
“Don’t tell Archie I laughed at him for that.”
“Believe me I won’t,” the girl chuckled.
“I’ll always love that boy but we’re very different people,” Betty explained, pulling up to the diner. “Plus I’ve got Jughead, and he’s got Ronnie.”
The girl was so busy absorbing the flickering neon lights of Pop’s famous (in her mind) Diner, that it took her a second to process what was just said or what it meant at all.
“What’s a Jughead?” she said stupidly to herself.
Betty just smiled and opened her door, the girl blindly following after her. It had been so long since she’d been to the diner, but not much had changed, other than it looked like it’d had a fresh coat of paint and someone had finally fixed that dreadful buzzing light in the “n” of the sign. The girl tripped nervously behind Betty into the diner, the door letting loose a little jingle as they stepped in. Unlike the cool night air they’d just briefly been exposed to, Pop’s was filled with a warmth and delicious sugary smell that made the girl salivate at once. A feeling of absolute nostalgia swept over her, one so strong Betty had to shake her out of it.
“(Y/N), hey, they’re over here.”
She snapped out of it, hair whirling around her shoulders as she turned to her left, eyes landing on a nearby booth where three people sat. One was a black haired boy in a beanie who sat with his legs up against the table but shifted upwards with a smile when he saw Betty. That must be the boy she’d just referred to as an it, she thought to herself. Then there was a raven haired girl in a sleek black dress who sat about as prim and properly as a person could in a plastic-y diner booth. Ronnie, she presumed. And then there was Archie Andrews. Archie Andrews with the beautiful brown eyes that were glued indiscreetly to her. Archie Andrews with his arm around the stunning girl beside him.
“Fuck,” the girl began to whisper, but then, catching their eye, let the word buzz out into nothingness as she gave them all a big fake smile hello.
“Jug, Veronica, this is (Y/N),” Betty introduced the girl politely.
“Pleasure,” Veronica offered a hand, Jughead giving her a nod of acknowledgement.
She took her hand awkwardly as Betty pulled her up a chair to sit at the end of the table.
Oh good, like she could fifth wheel any harder.
“And Archie, you know (Y/N)!?” Betty beamed.
Archie’s eyes sparkled with knowing as he gave a nod, one the girl barely caught as she looked away quite quickly. Up close he was even more terrifying. And by terrifying she meant handsome. And by handsome she meant terrifying. A loose red strand of hair fell in front of Archie’s enthralled stare, and he was too dumbfounded to do anything about it, so Veronica fixed it up for him, making him snap out of his short lived trance. He moved his eyes over to his girlfriend, giving her a half smile.
“What’ll we be having?” a kind voice interrupted them.
The girl looked up into the eyes of none other than Pop himself. He wore the same old Pop’s uniform and the same old smile. He had that glorious Santa Clause twinkle in his eyes, and just the jolly Santa Clause laugh to go with it.
“My my, if it isn’t (Y/N),” he shook his head.
“You remember me?!” she said with both surprise and flattery.
Pop gave her a pat on the shoulder, addressing the group, “this girl used to come in every afternoon, sit right up on those stools that were too tall for her little legs, and order an extra-chocolate chocolate milkshake,” he smiled. Then, looking down, he chuckled, “how could I forget?”
She looked up at him with a huge grin, “you never did tell me your secret.”
“Ah, you’re old enough now,” he shrugged, “it was an extra brownie.”
“What?!” her mouth fell open, “that was it!? But you’d go back there and make it seem like you were doing this big magical thing-”
“Extra brownie,” he cut her off with a proud little wheeze, to which she shook her head. “I presume it’ll be the same for tonight, right?”
She scoffed, crossing her legs in her chair and sitting up a little better, “right.”
Pop nodded, “good to have you back, kiddo.”
The girl turned back slowly to face the others, who of course were all staring at her. There was a shared expression amongst them that she couldn’t place. They didn’t speak for a few seconds. Then it was Jughead who finally said what they were all thinking.
“You’ll let us try that thing, right?”
She let out a sigh of relief, and then a laugh and a shake of her head, “of course.”
. . .
Once they’d all passed the milkshake around the table once, every person had come to the same conclusion: this girl had taste. Then they’d all ordered themselves a round of her extra-chocolate chocolate milkshakes, even Archie. As she took sips of the delicious sugary goodness, it felt like social fuel being pumped into her lungs. She bonded with Jughead over their interest in fiction, Veronica over their interest in fashion, Betty with everything, and Archie with nothing, since she didn’t really speak to him. The neon lights of the diner sent a warm pink glow over the group, flushing their skin with the retro aura that made Riverdale what it was.
“A cracktown in the middle of the forest,” Jughead had decided to call it.
“Jug,” Betty hit her hand to her forehead with a laugh.
“No, seriously (Y/N) you wouldn’t believe the crap that happens here,” Jughead said, tossing a brownie chunk in his mouth.
“Relax, Jones,” Veronica said. “Don’t go scaring off our new girl so soon.”
The girl smiled a confused smile, unaware of what subtext she was missing out on.
Changing topic, Veronica asked what she might be looking forward to at school.
“Oh, um, the music,” she responded for the second time that night, averting Archie’s eyes as she did so. “I play guitar.”
“Do you now?” Veronica arched a sharp brow. “So does this ginger stallion beside me.”
Veronica grabbed Archie’s large arm and gave it an encouraging squeeze.
He nodded, and she made direct eye contact with him for only the second time that evening. His eyes softened when he caught her looking, making her stomach turn. Not that either would say it, but she was the one who had taught him to play, something they both recalled. He cracked the tiniest of smiles for her, making her forget how to breathe as she found herself suddenly very interested in the bottom of her milkshake glass. An awkward silence, the first and only of the night, ensued.
Veronica, feeling responsible for it, said, “well it’s late. I should be heading home before daddy worries.”
The girl had to pinch herself under the table to keep herself from laughing at whatever the hell had just been said. She raised her jaw to give Veronica a smile, the group rumbling with mutual chatter and goodbye’s as she parted without Archie, who she apparently called Archiekins.
“Me too,” Jughead said, “not because of my daddy issues,” he clarified. “I have a paper to write.”
“I’ll take you back,” Betty said, helping her boyfriend out of the seat after her. He leaned up and planted a kiss to her cheek as he stood, wrapping an arm around her.
It was kind of a funny sight to see the pink clad blonde girl with the black clad emo boy, but they did seem a good pair. The two stared at her.
“(Y/N), you coming?” Betty smiled.
The girl was far too nervous to even acknowledge Archie for a goodbye as she stood, making a clamor and hitting her knees on the table, “yeah.”
She barely got a step away before Archie cut the group off.
“Actually-” he started
They all turned to look at him.
His eyes were now fixated right on the girl, and confidently. Not that they weren't before, just that he seemed a little unsure of how to act around her up until the given moment, for whatever reason. He had his legs spread apart now, shoulders comfortably back against the crimson backside of the booth.
“I’ll take you,” he said.
“Well-” she protested.
But he wasn’t having it this time.
He did this incredibly frustrating blink smile thing at her that made her heart do somersaults.
“I’ll take her,” he said again, firmly, and to the others this time.
Feeling trapped, the girl turned to Betty for guidance. But Betty, being Betty, just smiled.
“Have fun you two.”
She felt like she was being abandoned by her new sister and her sister’s edgy boyfriend, helpless as they walked hand and hand away from her. She kept her back to Archie long after they left, too scared to turn. Her heels were glued together, and she raised her chin up to stare into the blazing lights above in a failed attempt to make the nightmare end. Then, slowly, she tilted her head, enough to address him without looking properly.
“After you.”
. . .
Archie drove an old truck that made strange noises when it ran but felt homey nonetheless. The seats were faded and it smelt of must and what she presumed to be his own scent, which was a kind of mingled sweat and dark cologne mixture that she strangely liked. An old CD was crammed into the car’s disk drive, and it hummed out low rock music that soothed the girl’s nerves. For a while, neither of them spoke, but it was he who finally broke the silence.
“Sorry,” Archie huffed lightly as the girl studied her void surroundings.
It was pitch black on the roads, and she had her head pressed to the cool glass as she stared into the inky black of the night. Archie had rolled his window down so that an icy breeze rolled up onto her skin, leaving a trail of goosebumps.
“For what?” she spoke softly into the surface of the glass, her knees against the door.
“Oh, I know it’s not much,” the red haired boy said, moving his eyes between the road and the girl beside him.
“I like it,” she smiled, tilting her head to look at him and flashing her teeth.
Archie’s lips curled upwards, “yeah?”
He stared at her, his own teeth bright white against the darkness of his car.
“You think I wouldn’t?” she said, moving her knees from the door to facing forwards.
“Well,” he shrugged, “some people in this town have very expensive tastes.”
“Mmm?” she challenged, wiggling a brow at him. “And you think that includes me, Archiekins?”
She’d said the last word with the best Veronica impersonation she could manage; it was awful.
Archie let out a short loud laugh that he then stifled with his free hand. He leaned back further against his seat, relaxing his shoulders and keeping one hand lazily planted to the steering wheel as he shook his gorgeous red hair with amusement.
“I don’t know,” he laughed, his large eyes glimmering as the passing car lights shone in them. “You could’ve changed.”
“Yeah right,” the girl said, easing up and turning so that her back was now fully against the passenger door and her front was pointed directly at the boy.
Archie’s face flashed with some expression she couldn’t make out.
“What?” she prodded him.
“I don’t know, is it so hard to believe?” he shrugged, tilting his head to look briefly down at her.
She averted his eyes instantly. So apparently she wasn’t fully accustomed to him quite yet.
“What do you mean?” she asked the road.
“I mean-” he started, squinting his eyes and swaying his head as he selected his next words, “you’ve definitely changed.”
“Hm?” she said with mild surprise, turning back to look at him and feeling her heart skip a beat when she saw that he was still right there, staring back at her where she’d left him.
Archie didn’t know how to explain verbally, so he just kind of lingered his eyes very curiously on her before moving them slowly back to the road. He suppressed a smile with a bite of his cheek, making her frustrated.
“What?” she snapped.
“There’s not a very gentlemanly way of putting it,” he rolled his head attractively to look back down at her, smirking.
Her raised brows very slowly settled as she realized what he meant, her face burning with embarrassment as she turned it back to the outdoors and prayed he couldn’t make out her expression. So what, he just pointed out that she looked different. But what was that supposed to mean? She had to pinch her thighs to gather herself.
“So then who's to say you haven’t completely changed?” she finally responded in a cool tone.
“If it isn’t obvious by the dump on wheels that I drive,” he laughed, “me.”
“Really?” she taunted, mimicking his seductive head roll and blinking sweetly up at him, “I think you’ve definitely changed.”
Archie snorted and crinkled his nose adorably, tapping the girl off with his shoulders playfully, “hey.”
He wore this inquisitive smile as he turned quickly to look at her. He wanted her to elaborate on what she’d meant, but she just left him hanging like he’d done to her.
“Well,” he decided with a slow exhale, “I’m kind of relieved, to be honest.”
“Why?” she asked, taking his focus on the road as time to study the perfect curvatures of his cheeks, jaws, and lips.
“I’m glad you’re still, you know, you,” he said. “Sweet. Sassy. Kind of scary.”
She knocked his elbow with her own, “shut it Andrews.”
He opened his lips just wide enough to flash the edges of his jutted canines, “there she is.”
She couldn’t help but giggle, moving her legs and folding them to sit crossed legged in his seat. Archie didn’t seem remotely surprised.
“Yeah well, are you still the Archie Andrews I know?” she asked.
“Mmph,” Archie puffed lowly, “you could say that.”
“Elaborate,” she said.
“A lot has happened since you left. So, no. But, also yes? I’m still me underneath everything, I just think that a lot of people forget that... including me,” he explained somberly.
“Oh,” she frowned, “troubled past?”
He laughed bitterly, “like you wouldn’t believe.”
“I might,” she said, squishing her lips together with curiosity.
Archie shook his head with concealed hurt, not knowing where to start. He took a minute to himself before replying, during which he pulled up to their street and into his driveway.
“My dad passed away this year,” he decided.
“Oh,” the girl’s heart dropped.
She used to see Fred all the time when he and Mrs. Andrews would get Archie from school. She’d even written him the personalized essay on why he should get Archie his first guitar, and it had worked. Hurt but not knowing how to reply, she just stared at him, but he wasn’t looking back.
“I’m sorry,” she settled lamely.
“Me too,” Archie turned finally, resting his upset eyes on her, “about your dad.”
“Oh?” she said, taken aback.
“I mean,” he explained, “I knew back then, obviously. But I never said anything about it. I didn’t want you to think I judged you for it.”
“Honestly it’s fine,” she shook her head.
“No,” he cut her off, “because now I know what it feels like. To be the kid with the dad who died. Everyone treats you differently, like you’re, I don’t know, a victim. So nobody talks about it, it’s like they think I’ll self-destruct if they do,” his eyes settled in his lap. “And I don’t want that. I just want my dad.”
Her shoulders slumped with sadness, brows knitting as she leaned forward for his hand. She stopped though, not sure of if that was okay, so she asked.
“Can I?” she half whispered, tapping her fingers against Archie’s hand, which was still clutched tightly to his gear shift.
He just gave a little nod yes.
His hand was shaking a little when she reached for it, so she reassuringly wrapped her fingers around it, like in one of those friend hand holds where you don’t lock fingers. Archie wordlessly stopped her, nudging her fingers aside so he could lace his long fingers through her own. It took her aback, but there was no denying she preferred it. Kind of enthralled at the sight, she just looked at their hands together, hers much smaller and colder, feeling safe entangled in his. And his hands felt good. Rough. Warm. Familiar. Realizing it’d been the first time they’d actually touched in years, she felt her throat go hard. Archie seemed to pick up on it too, because when she lifted her gaze he was looking at her, kind of flickering his eyes back and forth between her own. She felt her heart pick up, thumping loudly in her ears, her blood filled with a faint electricity. But this time she didn’t look away. It felt too good to. So she let Archie do it, though he looked reluctant to do so. He retracted his hand timidly, making her instantly go cold without it.
“Hey,” he started softly, “are we okay?”
She stared at him with a slightly tilted head, “of course, why?”
“Well,” he said nervously, “You kind of shut me out with those curtains before. And then I got a text from Betty saying she was taking you to Pop’s at the last minute, which was weird because I’d already offered. And, well, you didn’t speak to me at all until ten minutes ago.”
He said it all to his knees instead of to her face, his lips curled into a frown.
The girl closed her eyes in embarrassment, shaking her head, “I’m sorry. It’s not what you think.”
When she opened them again he was looking at her, awaiting her next words.
She gulped nervously. It wasn’t exactly like she could admit she’d been hit full force with a suppressed wave of years of her own pent up frustration and feelings when she saw him.
“I just,” she sighed, rubbing a thumb nervously over her wrist “I was afraid.”
“Of what?” he replied with surprise.
“You,” she admitted, settling for the partial truth. “I hadn’t seen you in so long and I didn’t know how much had changed or if you’d-” she shook her head, pausing, “if new Archie would still like me.”
He released an airy laugh, “are you kidding (Y/N)(Y/L/N)?”
That threw her off guard. Back in the day he had often called her by her full name. Whether sweet or stupid, she had never decided. But this time it definitely felt sweet.
“No I’m not, Archie Andrews,” she said slowly back, drawing her gaze away.
That made him grin that damn grin that drove her insane.
“I could never stop liking you,” he promised with enough sincerity to make her look up again. “Promise.”
She smiled timidly, “how am I supposed to get that when I’m being dragged into a new friend group the very night I’m moving back into town?” she said. “I mean, they’re lovely of course,” she defended, “but you can’t blame me for being nervous.”
Archie squinted his eyes, taking in her words before deciding, “you're right.”
“I am?” she said with a confused laugh.
“Yes,” he nodded. “I know you, and I should’ve known better than to think that was your thing.”
He wasn’t wrong.
“And I promise,” he added, “next time it’ll be just us.”
She blinked at the fiery redhead with mingled hope and nervousness, “yeah?”
“Yeah,” he said, tilting his head forward with an encouraging smile. “Tomorrow I’ll come over and help you unpack. And then after we can do whatever you want, and you can catch me up on everything I missed,” he beamed.
Seeing him get so excited to spend time with her practically sent her off the deep end, her heart feeling like it was being squeezed out by Archie himself. She beamed back at him, making him smile, if possible, even wider.
“Wait,” she realized, feeling upset wash over her, “aren’t you supposed to see Veronica tomorrow?”
“Oh,” Archie said, knitting his brows, “it’s alright. I’m sure she’ll understand me helping out an old friend.”
Ouch. It was sweet, but still, she couldn’t help the sting that came with “old friend.”
“Really?” the girl asked.
“Of course,” he reassured.
She nodded nervously, feeling incredibly grateful to have him back. So she told him.
“I’m really happy to have you back.”
He let his lips fall into a content close, his chocolate eyes twinkling, “I’m happy to have you back too.”
The two stared at each other, an awkward quiet ensuing, neither sure of what to say next. Both luckily and unluckily, the girl’s front porch light snapped on, making both of them jump. The girl’s mother was by the door, and she was waving down Archie’s truck.
“Oh my god,” the girl said with horror, “Archie run.”
But he wasn’t listening. In fact, he was halfway out the truck.
“No way, Mrs. (Y/L/N)!?” he said cheerfully, extending his hand as he walked out to meet her halfway.
The girl cursed under her breath as she climbed out the vehicle, so appalled she could barely look.
“Archie!” her mom said, hobbling over in her pink robe.
She shook the boy’s hand, marvelling at what a handsome young man he was.
The girl’s sneakers crunched over the grass and leaves as she stood beside them, her eyes darting between the exchange and the ground but unsure of where to stay.
“Last time I saw you you were just a tiny little thing with a football twice the size of your head!” she chortled.
“And last time I saw you you looked just as youthful Mrs. (Y/L/N),” Archie replied.
Damn that boy was smooth.
Her mother clearly enjoyed it, voicing, “always an angel, Archie.”
The porch and moon’s light combined sent shadows over their faces, crickets chirping obnoxiously as her mother patted Archie off with a laugh. They made small talk that was frankly too unbearable for the girl, so she wordlessly slipped off and into the house before they could say anything. As soon as she got in she bolted up the stairs, hands running through her hair nervously and back hitting the door of her room once she was safe inside. She sucked in a few breaths, eyes fluttering as she processed the catastrophe occuring downstairs, and just generally in her life. A minute later she heard the front door close, and her mother yelled up something that sounded like an indistinct “well gosh I get what you mean now!” That only embarrassed the girl further, making her slide down against her door with a groan. Thank God her drapes were closed so Archie didn’t see it all happening. Well, speaking of…
The girl slowly opened her eyes, lifting her body from the ground with a sigh. She stood, staring at her curtains. She could see light flooding in from the other side, meaning Archie was now in his room. Sucking in a slow breath, she tucked her long hair behind her ears and approached her curtains slowly. Her face was expressionless as she felt for the fabric, her heart just a little too fast as she timidly pulled it aside.
There was Archie, breathtaking as ever. He sat on the edge of his bed, phone resting in his hands like he was contemplating using it. But then, feeling her bedroom light flood over to his side of the divide, Archie looked up with knowing. She still had one hand holding the drapes, the other loosely by her side, clutching her own phone. Archie stared at her with a happily taken aback expression, his chest heaving lightly against his white tee, his hands steady as they unlocked his phone. The auburn haired boy looked at her for a second, then down at his phone as he typed away a message. Then he looked back up. Her phone screen lit up at once.
No goodbye?
She chuckled, looking up in time to catch him smile with a tilt of his brows.
The girl typed back.
Sorry. Too rough down there, had to get out.
This time Archie laughed.
Goodnight, (Y/N) (Y/L/N).
She smiled.
Goodnight, Archie Andrews.
He didn’t text back after that, he just stepped forward and reached for his own blinds, tilting his head at her in a wordless goodbye. Neither wanted to be the first to shut the other out, so instead they just closed their blinds together, the last thing she caught being the ever so faint twitch of Archie’s content lips.
