Space goop Experiments

There are going to be a lot of technical challenges with this project, so I'm tackling a few of them now to make the animation process less laborious later. Up first is the titular jar of cosmos, or more specifically the viscous, galaxy-colored liquid therein. I was able to get what I needed from Blender's fluid sim for the liquid space, but not so much the stars. My first pass with materials came out a little janky:

Then I tried assigning an emissive material to the fluid particles, and got this odd (but twinkly!) result:

Unfortunately, I can't control that twinkling. I believe it has to do with blender recalculating the fluid sim particles every frame, and hence messing up my Random output from the Particle Info node >:( Here are a couple simulations I tried (the red particles would show up as stars):

All of these look cool in their own way, but none approximate a star field. For now, I managed to get passible material stars, but more than likely I will either jerry-rig something through compositing or figure out how to combine the fluid sim with a separate particle system so the stars look like they're coming from inside the space goop.

WAKE UP BABES NEW GODET JUST DROPPED

Ok so i was trying to Emulate the Glitch Techs art Style because thsi is a Glitch Techs universe Godet. This was also just something small i did to take a break from one of the commissions i'm working on, but wanted to share because while it's not my usual, sometimes you gotta experiment to learn things. I'm happy with her, even if it's not perfectly the glitch techs style.

so i had my first (ever) dnd session yesterday. here are the highlights;

• the other rogue had three magical guns (2 revolvers, 1 rifle)

• his name was gamerboy

• the barbarian was a boxer who had zero (0) braincells and a penchant for violence

• aforementioned barbarian rounded up approximately 15 ice zombies and shoved fire crystals in their mouths

• gamerboy proceeds to shoot said fire crystals with his magic rifle, triggering a chain reaction explosion

• 84% of the town we were in burned down

• our tiefling was a bard that had cat ears

• the dm was the nail tech i had gone to for the first time the day before

• i am a dragonborn

i think yuuta would love takaba's show, so that's what i wanted to draw at first, and then it just expanded haha

yuuji would probably be a fan too, although he likes the strongest duo better. megumi, on the other hand, gives off the vibes of someone who despises manzai. it's hit or miss for toji and nobara, but they don't watch the new year comedy shows for the jokes anyway, they're here for the company
