it’s my gf and my 1 year anniversary on thursday and it is stressing me out more than it should. i have to finish the present i’m making for her and more annoyingly i have to find a restaurant. which is hard bc she only wants e/se asian food (which is fair, that’s my fave too) and it should be semi-fancy, but not exorbitantly expensive (hard to find for asian restaurants, which are mostly casual here, esp when they are authentic and not “asian-fusion”) and within reasonable public transit distance. which limits us so much!!!!

ngl, not being able to eat avocado (for some reason this is one of my food sensitivities?? but it’s not a stone fruit allergy- i can eat peaches/nectarines/etc- and it affects me similarly to lactose?) is incredibly disappointing, especially as someone who looooves mexican food, but i have discovered making street corn is an acceptable substitute for guac in tacos 😂

anyways. exie has a full, happy belly because tonight was taco night!! i love feeding my cravings. evening doesn’t get better than baseball and homemade tacos

Not a spoiler, but I just watched the TMNT movie and I have to say, I don’t mind that the boys made a lot of current pop culture references. I feel like some people might not like it, but considering that the main characters are teenagers who’ve been isolated by society them being obsessed with media makes perfect sense. Also teenagers are almost never even thinking about the fact that all the things they love will one day be someone else’s vintage. It will date the film, but that’s not a bad thing to me. I don’t think every movie needs to be timeless or go for that type of vibe. It’s like a little time capsule that way.

there's something so weird about, like, being content with myself in the sense i know i could be alone and i could be okay. it wouldn't be the best thing ever but i'd be okay. i have my friends i love who i know love me in whatever way they do and that's wonderful. but i want romantic love so bad—like the last time i was ever wanted romantically was when i was sixteen and it makes me feel so off the walls.
