first off, 'matt how did you even get here??' i'm so glad you asked! tam's 25-26 in fire eternal and he has a niece who is old enough to have a staunch opinion on dragons. therefore he has some kind of sibling -> his vibes are heinous, so he only has brothers -> his vibes are heinous, so he's the youngest. et voila.

he's also got like eleven aunts and uncles. yes they were totally neccessary - i had to reverse engineer the whole parent situation that created a man like tam farrell, and it involved a lot of siblings all the way up. (and a lot of 'well... if he has parents then his parents have got parents.... and if his parents have got parents, then they've got parents' until i probably couldve got back to william the conqueror if i wanted to. do not threaten me with a good time) YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT THEM LATER. ONWARDS!!

Ewen - killed him, sorry <3 i have no excuse for this one, i just thought tam needed another ghost tbh. he was a civil engineer and big car guy before he died and a pretty good dad, for all intents and purposes. he probably could have taken more time off work, but to be fair to him, he thought he was working hard towards a nice early retirement.

Seònaid - didn't give her a good time either tbh </3 she's got MS and has been in generally poor health since Ewen died and supporting themselves got Dicey. Everything worked out and she's very proud of her kids, even if everyone occasionally feels a little bitter about what could have been. She has a little shelf with copies of everything Tam and Reyna have ever released (and she later adds David's books)

Finnolagh - the oldest brother. he makes bespoke furniture out of big old trees and keeps sending tam voicemails pretending he's cut a finger off (they literally live in different countries. tam is IN THE OFFICE RIGHT NOW). one day he probably will cut a finger off and it'll be very funny, i'm sure.

idk, he's Big Brother. He's big, he's brother. You call him when you have a problem and he hits it with a hammer until its not a problem any more. works 100% of the time, 9 times out of 10.

Dhruti Gupta - my Finn's wife. The Guptas used to live next door and Dhruti and Finn were always sat next to each other in school because of all the alphabetising -> friends forever and sickly sweet in love. Millie was... a surprise, but they were bound to have kids at some point. Big beautiful house in the woods, everyone is well taken care of, etc.

Dhruti's a public speaker in something very inspiring that I haven't figured out yet, but is very cool and totally awesome 👍She and Reyta probably have a book club of some description that is an excuse to gossip for hours, as they should. Was a big academic and remains the logical friend you need when Finn is running about with his hammer. Somehow it works

Mahila "Millie" and Anik "Niki" - these kids have been brought up specifically to bully their uncles 24/7. Millie is very good at it becasue she's recently entered her emo phase (girly stuff is NOT cool. she does NOWT care about dragons or nsync).

Niki is just uncoordinated and liable to take an eye out. He is in every sport in a desperate attempt to get rid of his energy. It has not worked. There is an adhd diagnosis in his future <3

Markus - Tam wins the award for most unstable Farrell brother, but only because Markus has been very quietly shaking in the corner for the last 20 years. Someone please get him a beta blocker and sertraline right now. He should have been a librarian in the 1600s, but he's settled for gallery curator in the 2000s.

Was in football for five years because his uncle ran the team and he was too anxious to admit he hated it. Did he leave becasue he said something at last? No. He aged out of the division and helped out for another couple years.

Henrietta "Reyta" Morrison - They met in college (post-16, not ambiguous scrubbley-style uni) and have been engaged for nine million years. Illustrator/fine artist, possessor of a back-bone (he SAID. NO PICKLES!!). Mark's whole wardrobe is things she's knitted, and they are currently making their way through all of the x-files on VHS.

OCD that flared up to a huge degree when his dad died but Tam has mostly worked through by the time of tldc (until he got possessed by real life aliens, now he's got to do it again <3). It is projection- so is this whole family tree- but i think Tam generally tried very hard to Be his older brothers (because people like them so they're doing something right) and as a result had an entirely hollow adolescence.

Been in a billion relationships that never quite work out for some reason or another (huh. I WONDER WHY 🤨).

Distanced himself from family after going to London to start his life, but relationship with his brothers/mother has probably improved after getting out of his childhood home. Sometimes you gotta have your twenties unobserved, y'know.

I think Tam is the youngest or Nearly the youngest of all the cousins. I'd have to look at my huge flow chart and I'm scared that this draft is going to explode if i go check.

Been a while since i updated yall on my minecraft world, so heres the greenhouse i designed last night that im planning on building to house my bamboo and the allay i nabbed last week or so :] the smaller section is for an attached bee farm

This design is actually 100% mine!!! This is the first time i havent used a tutorial as the base of a build, and while it still needs a few tweaks and extra decorations, for a first pass im pretty damn happy with it. I did use a site to help me with the dome shape, it's called plotz and it was extremely helpful especially while using the 2D model :]

an interesting crossover between my autistic literal thinking and the way using the -phobic suffix for bigotry harms the phobic community is that on my first day of 8th grade, my english teacher had a talk about expectations, rules, respect, etc. and one slide said “no phobias or isms” which was supposed to mean no homo/transphobia, racism, sexism, etc. however. my little autistic phobic brain thought that meant i wasn’t allowed in the class because i have phobias. i literally went up to the teacher after class like “😔 i have phobias of masks, flying, doctors, etc. am i still allowed in this class or do i have to swap teachers? 😔👉👈” and i think that’s kinda funny but also kind of an interesting analysis on how phobic people are harmed by conflating bigotry and phobias
