BFG (7)
Tumblr media
Summary: He’s new to town and just your type…
Pairing: Reacher x Plussized!Reader
Warnings: angst, unplanned pregnancy, lovesickness
A/N: I added the pregnancy because of an ask.
Catch up here: BFG (6)
BFG masterlist
Tumblr media
The first days without Reacher were hell. He was still everywhere you looked. His scent lingered on your pillows, and you still felt his hands on your body.
You even dreamed about him. Day and night.
Life moved on while you suffered the worst lovesickness you ever experienced.
Sally Ann offered help and took over your shift for a few days.
Most of the time you had to force yourself to get up and start a new day without Reacher.
That was until you found out Reacher left a sweet little gift for you.
It shouldn’t have been a surprise to you that Reacher got you pregnant. You had unprotected sex all the time and forgot about your pill more than once due to the events leading to KJ’s death, and what happened at your diner.
“Y/N, did you hear me?” One of your regulars asked as you wiped the same spot for the third time. “There is a new face.”
“Huh, oh?” You dipped your head to watch the woman step toward the counter. “Hi, welcome. What can I do for you?”
She asked for coffee, and cereal instead of pie. You chuckled at her choice but prepared a bowl with coco pops for her.
“This is a nice place, and the pie looks great. I have a friend who’d love your pie,” she said and watched you pour her a cup of coffee.
“Thank you,” you smiled at her and turned your attention back toward the stain on the counter. “I assume you are rolling through town.”
“I’m looking for someone,” she replied before taking a large sip. “A friend of mine asked me to check on her.”
You tried to end the conversation. The woman was nice but she reminded you of another stranger you met a few months ago. “That’s very nice of you.” You replied and tried to walk away.
“Wait, maybe you can suggest a hotel. I’ll stay for a few days,” she said. “That would be very kind of you. I’m not from around her and wouldn’t know where to look for a place to stay.”
“Oh,” you tried not to give away that there is no nice hotel in town. “We only have a motel. It’s not very nice and-” You leaned closer to whisper the next part. “Most of the guests are prostitutes, and their clients or people cheating on their respective other.”
“Crap,” she said and glanced around the diner. “Anywhere else I could bunker. Maybe someone is renting out a room.”
“You could stay at my place.” Reacher would scold you for offering a place to stay to a stranger. But he was no longer around, and you always followed your heart. The woman in front of you was nice, and she meant no harm. You were sure about it.
“Whoa, that’s very kind of you,” she said and held out her hand. “I’m Frances Neagley.”
“Y/N,” you gave her your name with a smile. “Nice to meet you, Frances. That’s a very nice name.”
“Yours too,” she chuckled. “I’ll pay you, of course.”
“I don’t rent out. If you clean up your mess and eat your food at my place only while you are around, we are good.”
“It’s a deal,” she shook your head and grinned. “I’m glad I came here.”
“Me too.”
Tumblr media
Frances helped you clean the diner and followed you home. She eyed you the whole time, as you told her about the town, your diner, and the stray you took in. The dog, not Reacher.
“I like dogs.”
You showed her around the house and introduced your dog to her. Frances was eager to learn more about the town, you, and your life.
“I’m tired, and will retreat earlier today,” you yawned and rubbed your sore back. “There’s food, beer, and water if you get hungry. I don’t mind if you grab a late-night snack. I’m alone again and—” You bit your tongue. She didn’t need to know you bought too many groceries because you forgot that Reacher left.
“Thank you,” she said and gave you a genuine smile. “Really. It’s nice of you.”
“No need to thank me. If you want to you can have all the beer,” you subconsciously rubbed your belly. “I don’t drink.”
Frances watched the motion with concern.
“That’s nice. I’m not much of a drinker myself, though.”
Tumblr media
The next morning Frances was already up. She sat on your kitchen counter, eating coco pops when you entered the kitchen.
“Morning,” you chirped and went straight for the fridge. “Damn, I need something fresh but sweet.”
“Can I ask you a question?” She said while you rummaged in the fridge to find anything to satisfy your cravings.
“Sure,” you grabbed an apple and the pudding you were hiding in the back of the fridge for emergencies. Not the best combination for breakfast but these are different times.
Your sweet secret not so well hidden by the thin nightie you wore, caught Frances’s attention. “How far are you?”
“Uh-around two and a half months,” you started to cut the apple to distract yourself from thinking about the father of your unborn child and his absence.
“Does the father know?” she asked, looking you straight in the eyes. “Y/N?”
“No,” you dipped a slice of apple into the pudding. “I don’t know if he’d care or how to reach him. He’s not the usual kind of guy, you know.”
“You think he wouldn’t care about his baby?” She hopped off the kitchen counter to gently touch your shoulder. “I bet he’d love to know.”
“He wouldn’t…” you sighed and shook your head. “You see, the father is not the kind of man to settle down or even stay in one place for longer than a week. If I told him, he’d believe I wanted to tie him down or something. I don’t want to be a burden.”
“Y/N, you’re not a burden but pregnant with his baby. He should grow up and take care of the woman he got pregnant,” Frances tried to convince you to call the father of your child.
“I can handle this on my own. I always did, and never needed man,” you stated. “I know you mean well, but begging a man to come back to me is just not my style.”
Tumblr media
“Reacher, finally,” Neagley rolled her eyes when Reacher told her he still didn’t have a phone. “I told you to stay in touch so I can report back to you. Is it so hard to buy a burner phone and send me the number?”
Reacher told her to report back and make it short. He asked Neagley to check on you after he left. He knew, that if he came back, it’d be even harder for him to leave again.
“Haul your big ass over here,” she grunted. “You left Y/N with more than a broken heart. I will give you twenty-four hours before I come looking for you. And believe me, you don’t want me to hunt you down, big guy!”
Tumblr media
“Finally,” Neagley huffed. “I believe you’ll need longer.” She checked her phone, smirking. “Ten and a half hours. This must be a record for you.”
“Neagley, not now. Is Y/N okay? Is the…baby okay?” He asked and glanced at your home. “Is she home.”
“She is asleep. Don’t wake her,” she softly said. “I hope you came to stay and won’t leave again. You can’t get a woman pregnant and run off.”
“I didn’t know,” he whispered. His features softened while looking at Neagley. “Thank you for checking on her and calling me. I’ve got it from here.”
“If you leave her again, I’ll hunt you down…” She glanced at the two duffle bags slung over Reacher’s left shoulder. “I see you got luggage this time.”
“Everything I own and cherish,” Reacher said his goodbyes to Neagley before he entered your house with the key you gave to him.
He silently stepped inside your house, careful not to wake you.
Reacher didn’t plan to reach your house in the dead of the night, but sometimes things don’t go as planned.
He dropped the bags and kicked his shoes off before silently making his way upstairs.
Reacher entered your bedroom, tiptoeing toward your bed to watch you sleep. He dipped his head and reconsidered his decision to come back to you. He never hung his heart on a place or people except for his family.
For a heartbeat, he was about to leave, but then you whispered his name in your sleep. His heart stumbled, and he took off his shirt and shoved his pants down his legs.
While you turned around to instinctively make space for the huge man, he crawled under the covers to wrap his arms around you. He kissed your temple and murmured your name.
Jack Reacher finally found his home.

Propaganda and further pictures under the cut
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tiny Giant Duo: Sophie and the BFG
Greendale 7: Jeff Winger, Britta Perry, Abed Nadir, Troy Barnes, Pierce Hawthorne, Shirley Bennet, Annie Edison
Submissions are still open!
Tiny Giant Duo:
Sorry, I got no propaganda for them yet :(
Greendale 7:
they are so stupid together and they were all normal human beings in the beggining but as time went on they just kept being more like themselves and went even insane-er and even the dumbest combinations of people in the group is just so much like different people within a family interacting ,,, I hope to find that kind of family to myself one day
they are all toxic people who form a very dysfunctional family and kind of learn to be better thanks to each other. i love them dearly

--The Gundam Wing Drinking Game! (*you don’t actually have to drink)--
Happy Eve War Armistice Day, everyone! As we all gather around the warmth of a flickering screen with friends, family, or discord buddies to celebrate the beginning of True Peace between Earth and the Space Colonies-- WHICH WILL SURELY LAST FOREVER-- why not play a little festive anime parlor game? This can be played with beverages, snacks, points, or the penalty/reward system of your choice!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE CLASSICS— take ONE any time:
1) Someone shouts: "IT’S A GUNDAM!" or "THAT’S A GUNDAM!" 2) Magical Gundam Transformation Sequence 3) The BFG: the buster rifle beam canon does what it does best. 4) Relena Yells At The Clouds 5) "Omae o korosu!": Heero threatens to kill someone and then doesn’t. 6) THAT'S SO FETCH: Duo calls himself the God of Death or says one of his catchphrases. 7) BOOBY TRAPPED: Heavyarms fires its chest missiles. 8) SAFETY FIRST: Quatre wears his goggles. 9) GO-GO-GADGET: Wufei uses the dragon claw extendo-arm.
THE SPECIALS— take TWO whenever the following occurs: 1) A fruit or vegetable is given meaningful screen time. 2) Episode title is the opposite of what occurs in the episode. 3) VA Hall of Shame: a voice actor fumbles a line or really chews the scenery. 4) This Is Big Nose: An impossibly silly military call sign is used. 5) Someone with Special Eyebrows conveys normal information in a straightforward way. 6) FOUND FAMILY: The Maganac Corps shows up to save the day. 7) Bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee-bee!
SING ALONG AT HOME— you MUST CHANT whenever:
1) KAIJU SHOT! KAIJU SHOT! a mobile suit looms into view of a window and horrified onlookers. 2) CRAB! CRAB! CRAB! CRAB! any time you see a MS Cancer or its aquatic friend group. 3) CLOWN! CLOWN! CLOWN! CLOWN! any time you see a clown. 4) HEEEEEEROOOOOO: you know what to do. *Stackable with article 1 section 4. 5) PUSH THE BUTTON FRANK: an ominous button is pressed to devastating effect.
POUR ONE OUT— take TWO and go "Oooooo, YIKES!" whenever one of the following occurs:
1) Someone REALLY should have locked their mobile suit hatch. 2) One Day From Retirement: a hapless schmuck gets got immediately after giving the all clear. 3) A gross failure to correctly estimate the impact tolerance of gundanium alloy despite all documented evidence. 4) Heero takes it on the dome or otherwise hits the ground at speed. 5) Duo gets used as a punching bag. 6) The Bright Noah Special: someone gets slapped or hit in the face. 7) Brutality: A mobile suit makes direct lethal contact with a human target. 8) Red Card: a fencing move does damage to a person or their equipment. 9) The Can Opener: Something gets split in half by a beam or heat weapon. 10) Fuck This Thing In Particular: A mobile suit (or other vessel) self detonates-- *stackable with article 3 section 5. 11) Up-Skirt Shot: A mobile suit or its pilot gets an unflattering camera angle.
HALL OF FAME— FIRST ONE TO SPOT one of these gets a freebie:
1) BRAND NAME: shout the Improbable Brand Name™ featured on background signage or product. 2) QUICK CHANGE: A character somehow gets into or out of a space suit off screen with no indication how. 3) GOOD BOY ALERT: There's an animal on screen (end credits don't count). 4) THE FUTURE IS NOW: State of the Art 90's Tech in use. 5) IMPORTANT PERSON SITTING AT A DESK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF A ROOM WITH A LARGE WINDOW BEHIND THEM: An important person sits at a desk on the left side of an empty room with a large window behind them.
EXTRA CREDIT: SLAP THE TABLE and call "DID YOU KNOW" to win a chance to make the FRIEND OF YOUR CHOICE take a penalty-- IF:
1) You can correctly identify one of the main voice actors in a bit role. 2) You spot an easter egg or reference to something from Universal Century. 3) Space Physics Don't Work That Way: you can explain why physics don’t work that way in space. 4) Actually Physics DO Work That Way: you can explain the science or theories behind an element of space tech, tactics, or engineering. 5) You can name a real-world location used on a map or background shot.
Happy holidays, enjoy responsibly, and have fun! -Wesley, and to a lesser extent, Tinylion

for the writing asks: 1, 3, 13! :D
Answering the Unusual Asks for writers! And thank you for putting them together!!
What is an area of expertise you find yourself inserting into your work? It can be job-related, but it can also just be a random interest or hobby.
Food! Food prep, the sensuality of eating... I am a very sensory-seeking person and I love to read about food. I was the one fan who liked GRRM's long feast descriptions lmao.
When did you first start writing, whether that was fanfiction or original work? What was your first work about, to the best you remember? (For bonus points, quote it!)
I couldn't quote it, but my first short story that was recognisable narrative was when I was 7. It was somewhat inspired by the BFG lol. I'd say my first recognisable piece that is actually available to read is a piece of FF7 fanfiction that I wrote when I was 11, and later typed up when I had access to the internet when I was a little older (probably 13) which I also put up on ao3 to archive. It's not bad for an 11 year old!
Where are you from? Do you think the culture and language of that place comes through in your work?
I'm British but I don't think my work has a particularly British sensibility, if I'm honest. Most of my artistic collaborators are European (mostly Polish, Russian, German and French) and I definitely feel like I am more at home in European traditions, even if I'm lacking a bit of artistic confidence these days! I do love British historical fiction though, and I'm looking to move a little into that direction in my next original project.

Narnia Headcanons: Wood Between The Worlds.
1. The Lady of the Green Kirtle came to Narnia from the Wood Between the Worlds and she considers herself kin to The White Witch because of that. However, she doesn't actually know where she is from and Charn and it's destruction predates her by a few centuries.
2. Giants also came to Narnia from The Wood Between the Worlds. Susan reads the BFG later in life and decides they might have come from Giantland or somewhere like it.
3. There's a mix of creatures that weren't there at Narnia's creation that arrived from The Wood or from Earth.
4. The Wood Between the Worlds is connected to various points around Earth and other places. Usually through caves or deep bodies of water.
5. Bacchus is Just There in Narnia, he just showed up one day. Maybe through the Wood, maybe not.
6. Tash is from Charn and left after the Deplorable Word was spoken, wandering around the wood and wreaking havoc in other worlds. He entered Narnia not long before the Calormen arrival.
7. The Guinea Pigs are functionally immortal and are two of the sentient things living in the Wood Between The Worlds.
8. Father Christmas isn't from Narnia originally and travels through the Wood to get there. Jadis froze Narnia's pool in order to prevent him coming in and he would come around Christmastime every year for 100 years to wait for the pool to melt.
9. The Merfolk in Narnia come from Atlantis through a cave system that goes under the pools of water and opens in different oceans.
10. There are more than Eleven Pools, Jadis had been counting them before becoming ill and only got to Eleven. She's guessing a lot of the Wood's backstory but she's right.
11. The Deplorable Word loses it's power after entering the Wood, which is why it did not destroy Earth when Jadis used it to try to kill Aunt Letty.
12. Marsh Wiggles come from another world as well and they actually somewhat remember their time in the Wood. They come to Narnia a century into it's history and live in Archenland during the White Witch's reign.

13 Books Tag Game
Was tagged by @disregardandfelicity Thank you! This is really getting me back into the spirit of reading. I needed this <3
1) The last book I read:
Coma by Alex Garland. I love him as a director, and I just recently found out he's also written some books. It was fun and mind-bendy, sort of reminded me of the stuff I try to write. Also really fast. I think I finished it in one or two hours.
2) A book I recommend:
Moving Forward Sideways Like a Crab by Shani Mootoo. I recently formed a little book club around this book because I just think it's so special. And almost no one has heard of it, which is such a shame! Everything this author writes is just stunning. Heartbreaking, guttural, sometimes disturbing, but always always stunning.
3) A book that I couldn’t put down:
Pillars of Light by Jane Johnson. Became one of my all-time favourites almost immediately, and I plowed right through it. I've been itching to read it again, actually. Oh, John the sad gay foundling, I miss reading from your pov...
4) A book I’ve read twice (or more):
For some reason I've read Room by Emma Donoghue twice. I wouldn't be able to stomach it now, but I guess it did something for me at the time. If anything, it's a fast read once you get used to the five year old's voice.
5) A book on my TBR:
So, soooo many... After the book I'm currently reading, I was hoping to pick up White Noise by Don DeLillo or Foe by Iain Reid.
6) A book I’ve put down:
Cloud Atlas, for now. Just sort of fell out of it by accident.
7) A book on my wish list:
And Then She Fell by Alicia Elliott. I've read her other book, A Mind Spread Out on the Ground, and I genuinely think it's one of those must-reads for any Canadian (or non-Canadian) interested in Indigenous lit.
8) A favorite book from childhood:
I was partial to The Spiderwick Chronicles. In earlier childhood, though, it was The BFG by Roald Dahl.
9) A book you would give to a friend:
The Solitude of Prime Numbers by Paolo Giordano. I know what you're thinking --- kind of a depressing book to give to a friend. And yes, it is depressing and very rough. But it opened something in my heart, idk. I felt comforted by it. I would also give a friend The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. Basically, books that have made me cry and hug them after I finished them.
10) A book of poetry or lyrics that you own
Can't remember the titles off the top of my head, but I have some Neruda. My partner is the poetry reader.
11) A nonfiction book you own:
Oh, sooooo many. I used to only read non-fiction for the longest time. But I'll go with the one that makes me look the most pretentious: Gender Trouble by Judith Butler. Found in the special little book sale room at the library I work at.
12) What are you currently reading:
The Kite Runner, for the first time. It's as gorgeous and heartbreaking as promised.
13) What are you planning on reading next?
Essex Dogs by Dan Jones. I bought a copy last year, got a few chapters in, then gave it to my dad for Christmas because we're big Dan Jones fans and I couldn't find another copy anywhere. I waited months for my new copy, so I have to read it now!
Hmm, tagging @spacegirlsgang @raedear @captainshakespear @maddielle @polarcell @knoepfchen but no pressure ofc

When the other polls will be out, they'll be in my 'fantasy polls' tag.
Ah also don't scream. I know this is hard.
Ah and here's a science fiction poll if you're interested. The others are in the 'sf polls' tag you can access through it.
I still have ideas but I'm taking a (probably rather short) break from 'fantasy polls' poll making. Make suggestions for future polls if you want (obscure faves work, I tend to include mine so why not yours ? I think my ask box is open if you want to stay anonymous)

BBC Big Read List
Many years ago, I first started tallying the books from the BBC Big Read list, seeing how my reading and interests correllate. I don't take it as the "one truth" on which books are worth reading or "good", I just find it interesting which ones I agree with. Let's go!
Out of the BBC's "The Big Read" list from 2005, which ones did you read, plan to read or started to read, but didn't finish? Read: 57 Want to read: 60
Some of the books to read I know very little about except the title and that they're classics, some others I know a lot about (and I even have "Men at Arms" on my TBR pile for when the mood strikes me next). I like reading classics once in a while, but especially older ones I can't read too often, I need to be in the right mood for that style of writing.
The last time I updated this was in 2015 and I had read 44 and wanted to read 72 - so 15 books in 9 years xD Like I said, it's not a challenge or a goal to read all of them, just a convenient way of keeping track of which classics I want to read eventually.

tom19.wad: Time Of Maps - Part 1 MAP01 (368, 784, 96) Author: TimeOfDeath (Chris Balch) Date: 2009-09-27 Description: TOM is a boom compatible wad that uses only doom2 format line actions (except some boom light transfers) and sector effects. -complevel 9 in PrBoom-Plus is required for some rising stairs and "floor lower to 8 above highest floor" behaviour. Some maps don't work properly in ZDoom. This isn't intended to be a traditional map set. Instead, it's a compilation of random maps and mapping experiments (for me) with random themes that are sorted by date (mostly), rather than difficulty. Each map is intended to be learned and memorized from a pistol start and recorded on for max runs (not all maps also have an intended speed route). I imagine playing most of these maps without learning them would probably be pretty annoying. The point of the maps is to learn them, plan a route, and record a demo as fast as you can. Most of the maps are bfg-oriented or rocket/plasma-oriented and most people probably won't like the gameplay. Most of the maps are remakes of levels from other games. All of the remakes were built by looking around in-game in the original levels, counting floor and wall tiles to figure out heights and lengths, standing in corners and seeing where other corners line up, using a ruler and the in-game map to figure out general room sizes, etc. The Quake remakes were also built that way (I didn't look in a Quake editor). Though, there are still differences in appearance between the originals and remakes. If you're a fan of any of the games I did remakes of, I think it could be cool to check out these maps even if you don't like the gameplay (play on skill 3 - hurt me plenty - to play the maps without monsters). Intended to be played with these options, if you want: CATEGORY 1 (INTENDED) - prboom-plus 2.5.0.1+ - kills/items/secrets/timer HUD (with "smart totals" turned off) - any resolution + uncapped fps - custom key config for weapons - -longtics - no TAS features (unless you specify your demo is TAS) - turn180 if you use keyboard only CATEGORY 2 - zdoom - freelook + jumping turned on - infinitely tall actors turned off - no bfg aiming - custom key config for weapons - no crouch My key config in PrBoom-Plus is: WASD movement, M1 fire, SHIFT shotgun, R chaingun, Q rocket, E plasma, F bfg, SPACE use, ALT strafe on, MOUSE turning (sometimes arrow keys with my right hand for long sr50) My key config in ZDoom is: WASD movement, M1 fire, M2 jump, Q prev weap, E next weap, SPACE use, ALT strafe on, SHIFT center view, always mouselook, never auto-aim, no BFG aiming, dot crosshair. ///////////// // MAPLIST // ///////////// MAP01 - released April 7, 2009 Don't wake up the revenants MAP02 - released April 12, 2009 Silent Hill 2 remake of the first part of Rosewater Park MAP03 - released April 16, 2009 Silent Hill 2 remake of the start area MAP04 - released April 22, 2009 Silent Hill 2 remake of the Courtyard in the Woodside Apartments MAP05 - released April 26, 2009 Doesn't work in ZDoom MAP06 - released May 11, 2009 Doom2 format version of smedley.wad. Doom2.wad map01 remake built from scratch (no copy/pasting) exactly like the original, with some new areas. A secret area is a remake of the starting room and a hallway in Quake E3M3. Rocket jumping is required to reach that secret area in ZDoom. MAP07 - released May 19, 2009 Quake E3M4 remake of the first room MAP08 - released May 27, 2009 Doom2 format version of first part of dekutree.wad. Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake of Inside the Deku Tree. MAP09 - released July 2, 2009 Doom2 format version of second part of dekutree.wad. Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake of Inside the Deku Tree. MAP10 - released July 3, 2009 Doom2 format version of last part of dekutree.wad. Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake of Inside the Deku Tree. MAP11 - released July 18, 2009 For practising 2-bfg-shot kills on cybers and long sr50. Similar design to Espi's pe.wad MAP12 - released June 6, 2009 Doom.wad E1M1 remake from memory, after not having played/seen the original map in about 1 year, with doom2 monsters. It was Creaphis' idea. Also appears in e1m1mem.zip, e1m1mem2.wad map01. MAP13 - released March 6, 2009 Doom2 format + single player version of my 2 sectors deathmatch map in 2sector.wad (map07) from July 2006. Originally released as seaburt.wad in March 2009 MAP14 - released July 30, 2009 Doom2 format version of map27 from chips19.wad. Remake of level 27 from Chip's Challenge. Also turned out to be a 1024-style map. MAP15 - released July 16, 2009 Doom2 format version of my first five maps put into one map. The original maps are from dib28a.wad and were made in 2005 MAP16 - released September 1, 2009 My attempt at making an Oblige-like map from scratch. MAP29 - demo map Map28 from dib28a.wad. My unfinished attempt at making cave architecture from 2006. MAP30 - released September 20, 2009 A map with 2 sectors that will certainly be hated by most, if not all. MAP31 - released July 30, 2009 Map11 with the cybers facing you. MAP32 - released July 30, 2009 Doom2 format version of two of the last rooms from flanagan.wad. Also shows a Doom "bug" (?) where you can walk through certain impassible walls if your map takes up 32768 units or more, either south-north or west-east. Doesn't work in ZDoom.

You said before that Eli and his sister used to watch movies before taking a nap. If they'd ever seen BFG, what would Eli's initial reaction be to it? His future reaction after meeting Warren? Lol
The series takes place around 2018-ish, and Eli traveled around with his sister 7 years ago, so that was before the movie came out (the Steven Spielberg BFG was released in 2016 if I remember correctly). If Eli did see it later on, he likely would’ve thought it was ridiculous and endlessly criticized the movie’s interpretation of giants.

I feel the need to share my g/t experience with erryone since its been on my mind for a while and I find it interesting how early on It showed up.
Ever since I was a little kid, probably 5-7 years old, I had little daydreams occasionally about giants taking me to their houses or a park or wherever and they would tease me and have fun with me, I was always scared of course because apparently ive always liked this fearplay bullshit, but i still found it exhillirating and fun. Of course it wasnt romantic or anything until I got older, just,,, like a really tall roller coaster, scary but exciting.
When I started reading, i found one of the borrowers books, i think my mom actually got it for me (maybe i had mentioned the daydreams??) ! I think it was The littles and The Biggs families, but yeah. I loved it and i tried to find more but they werent at my school library 😭 so Iworked with what I had, a book and a dream. (lol cringe-)
While i was in 4th- 6th grade I had kind of repressed it, I still thought about it on occasion but i started to realise that nobody else had that interest and it was just a wierd thing with me... Until I watched the BFG (cliche right 🙄) it was when the movie came out and people were talking about it! For a while it held the title of my favorite movie just so I could talk about it when people asked that particular icebreaker.
One night in like... 7th grade I had a dream that i was at church (lol cringefail imagine being religious...) and I picked up a piece of paper inviting people to come test out an experiment... Then i saw a flash And somewhere from the depths of my memories, my brain pulled out one of my old daydream scenarios.
I was in a laboratory with several other humans and we were all in a big glass box. Surrounding us were giants who took us out of the container and gave us baths, undressing us and scrubbing us down with toothbrushes so we would be clean for the examination.
I was taken away to a desk and meticulously examined from head to toe, the giant tried to probe me with questions but I was too shocked to speak.
Thats all I can remember but I was so fascinated by the dream that I started telling my family about it, now of course nobody wanted to hear me talk about my dream for 20 minutes, so my mom encouraged me to write it down.
And oh hell did I write.
My first long form writing stemmed from a dream I had, i wrote for months, of course, I was 13 do it was flaming garbage but I was so happy about it and thought it was a masterpiece.
So naturally as anyone would, I emailed it to my english teacher.
She never responded.
I wonder why.
To this day I pray that she never opened it, her emails being too cluttered with important school things that it got lost and never crossed her eyes.
But still, it was through this little writing that I began to realise my potential (lol cringe origin story-)
I still have the draft of the story, its plot and characters were a good foundation, and perhaps one day i will look it over, change a few things, get cancer and die.
During quarantine I discovered Sanders Sides, which led me down a fanfiction rabbit hole, which led me to tumblr, which led me to a creator called delimeful , not sure if they want to be tagged in this so I wont... They wrote some marvelous G/t Sanders sides fanfic and i soon realised... This is a community, it wasnt just them.. There was, so /much/ so many artists and writers that shared this niche interest, a community of people who g e t i t .
It started slow, I continued interacting with the tumblr community ( hell, the husk of my old blog might still roam this site (|||O⌓O;) )
Only ever looking for safe, wholesome g/t.
But where was the stomach-dropping exhilliration I had felt before, that rollercoaster feeling? What was missing??
I needed the fearplay, and in looking for it i stumbled into vore and that dynamic, playing with pred/prey and even more teasing. I was hesitant at first.
But lo and behold that was the gawd damn ticket. I started to write again, finding new stories and creators and tropes galore! I learned about the community, the terms and the subgenres!
Finally I gained confidence in my writing ability through a class that helped me grow my skills and practice.
And I eventually decided i could share all my hard work. All this time I had spent worrying if i should just keep it to myself, but i reminded myself of all the non beta read and unfinished work i had seen, and looking back at my own I was less afraid, people still liked it even then... So what could they say about mine ?
There ya go, thats my,, I guess life story told through the g/t Timeline.
Hopefully I was vague enough to not give away any behind the scenes, yall will never know who I am 😈😈😈
Also im not trying to bash any creators, I appreciate everyone who contributes to the community with anything they have.
