• 3x12 • I like to start some glute workouts with kneeling squats. This (odd) variation of squats actually gives you the highest glute muscle activation – around 60% or more versus less than 40% glute activation for traditional full squats •This exercise is not the best for building glutes in size (try hip thrusts for that) they are great for learning muscle activation and helping to keep your glute muscles firing properly. Landmine training is a safer, more versatile way to perform barbell training. Not only will your body deal with less joint stress, but you can access unique force vectors, angles, and planes of motion you couldn’t otherwise. 🧠This workout features some combo moves so we’re using longer work periods to accommodate for the greater time required to perform each rep. Plus, the earlier moves will be very challenging for most people using just the unloaded barbell (or even a lighter barbell than normal) so start light and slowly build up the weight from there. 📝Perform each move for 90 seconds with 30 seconds of rest between moves: 1. Split Kneeling Concentration Curl- Left Arm 2. Split Kneeling Concentration Curl- Right Arm 3. Hip-Hinge to Reverse Fly- Left Arm 4. Hip-Hinge to Reverse Fly- Right Arm 5. 1-Leg Hip-Hinge to Lateral Raise- Left Leg, Right Arm 6. 1-Leg Hip-Hinge to Lateral Raise- Right Leg, Left Arm 7. Push-Back Split Thrusters- Left Side 8. Push-Back Split Thrusters- Right Side 9. Twisting Uppercuts 10. Lateral Squat Passes ✅That’s 1 round. Perform a single round as a starter or finisher.
