Run-of-the-mill flagrant w* shippers are awful and disgusting of course but god those Kripke era purists who literally salivate over how fucked up the Sam + Dean + John dynamic is and act like the most intellectual people on earth for doing so. And are quietly but very obviously into w* but not in a typical shipping sense and rather in the sense that they have a real and perverse enjoyment of abuse and emotional incest. Those people are truly one of the most disturbing and terrifying types of people on here.
#Tw incest mention#Tw abuse mention#Do you ever open a blog to block someone and end up glimpsing directly into hell#Like don’t get me wrong a w*ncestie is a w*ncestie is a w*ncestie but#I almost respect the people who are like “I ship w* because it’s hot” or “I ship w* because it’s obviously canon” more than#the people who are like “my viewing experience of this show is SOO elevated because I actually KNOW what it’s about#and what it’s about is an inc*stuous abusive family and that is the ONLY theme in the show and if you don’t agree#you are so beneath my intellect and will never know how good this show is if you don’t engage with the inc*st”#To be clear I flat out don’t respect anyone who enjoys fictional inc*st even slightly but somehow even within that#there are people who manage to earn even MORE of my disrespect than they already automatically had#Furthermore I don’t care if Eric Crimp Key literally tells me the show was supposed to be about inc*st to my face I will literally#never acknowledge or engage with that. And by the way I watched all 15 seasons and not once did anything#between salmondean make me uncomfortable in that sense. Maybe I just wasn’t paying close enough attention because I can’t stand them#But irrespective of that I really think you have to be a certain type of person to look at a sibling trauma bond and immediately#have your brain go to inc*st. Like. Could not be me#Never mind having your brain go to inc*st and then being like ugh I love that. How in the hell do you get like that#Anyway enough about that because I feel gross talking about it this much#But these people who think they watched the show the smartest but literally having nothing to say about the racism#or any of the other bigotries in the show and ESPECIALLY in the early seasons that they exalt so much#They literally only care for raving about and getting off to abusive character dynamics#Or so it would seem.#Anyway though#My posts

hi! I found you just a few days ago and i love your stories, love the way you write.. you're my comfort writer, really!
I kind of have an idea for a story and, if you can and want, i'd like you to write it.
So.
It's a fem!reader x jenna
R is an actress, jenna's coworker.
During a IG live, someone in the comments insults Jenna and Reader is sooo pissed off about it and she answers to the comment defending her with so much passion and "fire" that she ends up accidentaly confessing she's in love with the girl.
The video goes viral and R is ashamed and embarassed, she starts avoiding her castmates, especially Jenna, 'cause she's afraid to be rejected by the girl.
Bye!
Live IG
Masterlist
Thank you for asking Jenna x F!Reader Summary: RequestWarnings: Maybe some drama but nothing alarming Thank you for your comment and your request. It means a lot to me to be your comfort writer. And that’s exactly why I write. I want to make people happy. And if it’s writing that can make people happy then I’m fulfilled. I love you all and thank you very much for all your support, it really warms my heart. Continue to send me your requests, I love reading you so much. Number of words: 1963
" Are you ready? »
" Yes I am ready. » You and Jenna are getting ready to do an Instagram live. Jenna is your work colleague but also your best friend. But the little brunette is also your biggest crush. But you never dared to talk to him about it for fear of ruining your friendship and that would be your biggest loss.
In short, like every Monday, you and your best friend do an Instagram live to be able to interact with your fans.
Jenna starts the live and you watch the first people to arrive.
"Hello everyone. » You have always loved with your fans. Without them you would not be where you are today.
Jenna sits next to you on the couch and your thighs touch. You try not to panic and blush at the proximity. Jenna's phone is hung on a tripod so she doesn't have to hold the phone.
“Ask us questions and we will try to answer them. »
Jen_Y/n: are you in a relationship?
“No, we’re just best friends. » Jenna replies with a big smile and taking your arm in hers.
“Yeah, we’re just best friends. » You try very hard not to show that you are hurt by Jenna's response. Even if you're not together, it hurts when your crush says you're just friends.
You've been live for 30 minutes now and there are over a million people watching you. You are always so intimidated every time there are so many people on the live show. Because you know that right now, lots of fans and even non-fans are recording you either to post it on their fan account, or to use it against you later.
As you read the comments, your jaw is picking at someone saying a lot of crap about Jenna.
User5647392948465: Jenna is so ugly. Plus it's too small. Y/n I don’t understand how you manage to be with this shit.
User5647392948465: Plus Jenna is so bad. She is literally the worst actress I have ever seen play. Take it off the set and send it somewhere else so that we never see it again and can never talk about it again.
You turn your head and see Jenna looking at the comment and you swear you saw a tear in your best friend's eye. Seeing his sad crush made you angry that you weren't able to remember what you were going to say next.
“Listen User thing, Jenna is the best actress I know. And she's not just the best actress, she's also the brightest, smartest, mentally strong and kindest I know. And she is the most beautiful woman on this Earth. And you know what, we're always going to talk about her. I will always talk about her because I am madly in love with this magnificent woman. »
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. But soon you realize what you just said and your eyes widen. Your cheeks redden with shame. You couldn't think of what you had just said. You have just admitted that you are in love with Jenna in front of millions of people but especially in front of the person who concerns her.
“I think we’re going to go.” It's starting to get late. Goodbye everyone and thank you for being there. We'll see you again soon for another live. Bye. » Jenna thanks and cuts the Instagram live. You remain frozen. You don't want to look at Jenna. You are sure she is angry with you. You just screwed up your relationship. She will never want to see you again.
“Y/n…”
" I have to go. » You get up without saying goodbye to Jenna and leave your best friend's house. Or ex best friend?
You run to your car and once inside you collapse. “But what a fucking cunt I am!” » You scream and hit the steering wheel, letting hot tears flow down your cheeks. You put your forehead on the steering wheel and scream.
“I’m just a big fucking bitch!” FUCK!!! » You continue to hit the steering wheel and you are sure that the next day your hands were going to have bruises from how hard you hit.
After 5 minutes, you notice that you are still in Jenna's driveway. You wipe your eyes and quickly leave for home. After 20 minutes of traffic, you arrive home. When you get home, you immediately head to your bed. You don't force yourself to change or eat. You go to your bed and continue crying until you fall asleep from exhaustion.
It's now been 3 days since the big reveal and your phone hasn't stopped ringing. Videos have been posted of you saying your declaration of love. You are so ashamed of yourself. Jenna sent you lots of messages and calls but you didn't respond to any of them. Even your friends sent you messages to see if you were ok. You make yourself sick thinking that Jenna will never forgive you. And you especially think that she is calling you to break up your friendship.
5 days now and you are still locked in your house. You still don't talk to anyone. You hardly eat anymore. All you do is watch TV and cry yourself to sleep. Every day you think of the little brunette who you miss so much.
Today it is raining heavily. The sky is gray, there is lightning and thunder. A bit like your feelings. It's 5 p.m. and you're listening to season 3 of Outer Banks while trying to forget about Jenna. But your mind is still focused on the little brunette.
After 15 minutes of the 1st episode, you hear someone knocking on the door. You huff in anger. All you want is to be quiet and cry for the rest of your life. So you let it go. The person will perhaps leave thinking that there is no one there.
But other blows are heard and louder than the first time.
“It’s okay, I’m coming! When someone doesn't respond, it's because they're either not there or they don't want to respond to you. » You say, getting up from the couch and going to open the door to yell at the person who is bothering you in your moment of sorrow.
But when you open it, you open your eyes wide, not expecting at all from the person right in front of you.
“Jenna?” » The little brunette was completely soaked. Her hair was stuck to her beautiful face and it was stained with her running mascara.
Without answering, Jenna pushed you and walked inside. You are surprised by her behavior and why she is here at your house. Jenna looked furious. And you hope it’s not because of your statement you made on your last Instagram live.
“Why didn’t you ever call me back when I texted you or called you?!” I was worried to death! » Jenna practically shouts at you.
“You know very well Jenna why I didn’t talk to you. » You say, looking at the ground and playing with the ring on your thumb.
“Well you should have called me back or at least sent me a message to let me know you wanted it!” Even your friends you didn't talk to them! »
“To tell you what Jenna?!” I'm sorry for ruining our friendship?! Sorry for developing feelings for you?! » Your anger was growing. You don't want to take it out on Jenna but you've been keeping your anger buried so much that you have to explode in front of Jenna.
“Our friendship has never ruined Y/n. » Jenna said more slowly as she slowly approached you. You look at her as tears flow freely down your cheeks.
“Jenna, I humiliated myself in front of everyone. And because of me, everyone is sending you the live video. » You respond sadly.
“Y/n I don’t care about this video. All I want is for you to be okay after this. When I called you and you didn't answer, or you didn't respond to my messages, I thought you were never going to talk to me again. I was so scared. » Said Jenna as she too had tears running down her cheeks.
You frown in confusion.
“Jenna, you should be the one pushing me away, not the other way around. It was me who humiliated you in front of over a million people. You have nothing to reproach yourself for. I should be the one to blame. I ruined our relationship. » Your last sentence is weakened by tears and the fear of losing Jenna.
“Y/n can I tell you something?” » You nod your head to continue. “I remember the first time we saw each other was on the set of X. The first time I saw you, I wondered who this beautiful, magnificent woman was. This woman with beautiful y/h/c to y/e/c. You looked so beautiful in this costume that made you look so sexy. » You feel your cheeks redden at Jenna's words. “I told myself that I have to go talk to him, otherwise I would blame myself for the rest of my life. And you know what? It was the best idea of my life. Because I met a strong, intelligent, courageous and so kind woman. But above all very sexy. » You both laugh at the last comment. “And after filming X, we became best friends. But I was missing something. For a long time I wondered who I was missing. »
“And what was that? »
“It was you Y/n. Every time I saw you, butterflies flew in my stomach. Every time you smiled, laughed or spoke, I loved you more every day. But at first I didn't want to admit it to myself because I thought you were straight. But when I saw you defending me the other day, I knew in that moment what my feelings for you were. » Jenna steps forward and cups your cheeks in her hands. “I’ve been in love with you Y/n for so long. »
You don't believe your ears. Your crush for years confesses his feelings to you. You wanted to pinch yourself to see if you would wake up. But Jenna's thumbs gently caressing your cheeks brings you back to reality.
“I love you so much Jenna. You can't believe how much I love you. I've been waiting for this moment for so long. » You place your hands on his hips and rest his forehead against his. Jenna runs one hand through your hair and the other on the back of your neck and scratches your skin with her nails.
" Can I kiss you? » Jenna asks you looking into your eyes and doing the triangle technique. You do the same and accept immediately. Jenna leans towards you but you step back. The brunette looks at you confused but you place your lips on hers. You wanted to kiss him first.
The kiss is soft and slow. There is no language just pure love. Jenna's lips are exactly what you imagined. They are sweet, pulpy, they taste like cherries.
You continue kissing before pulling away for lack of air. Your forehead is pressed against Jenna's and you look at her lovingly. She looks at you the same way.
“Jenna would you like to be my girlfriend?” » You ask with a smile on your face seeing her smile after your question.
“Yes Y/n, I want to be your girlfriend. » You both smile madly before launching into a kiss that's a little more intense than the first.
For now, your life is filled with happiness.
Thank you and fuck you User5647392948465.

True Beauty - unpopular opinion edition (7 eps in)
Girlie Jukyung should ditch Seojun completely. Setting boundaries is not her thing, fine. But putting this guy on hold would be the smartest choice. He needs to cool off.
Tumblr media
Let me explain.
Truth be told, Seojun is problematic and highly toxic. Simple as that. He reminds me of her previous bullies a lot. His methods are completely different, but umm... Hello??? He knows Suho and Jukyung are both into each other yet he's trying really hard to meddle in and play with their heads. Imagine if someone did that to you irl. Would you think that's cute? Probably not.
Tumblr media
Yeah he's got a cute face. But he's actually not that great to people around him.
This guy not only drags Jukyung in his own problems and conflicts, but he does so all while presenting her as his girlfriend to a bunch of people, online and offline. It results with our main girlie getting kidnapped and held hostage, quite literally! I know guys are being this disrespectful irl as well, all too often. And we girls love romanticising their stupid behaviour.
Tumblr media
I hate this enemies to lovers the show's been trying to pull off. If they make these two fall in love, istg
Jukyung's anxiety levels must be out of the roof because of this immature pabo. My thoughts are that she might fall for him, confusing all the freaking anxiety with butterflies.
Tumblr media
Ughhhhh he's catching feelings for sure and I'm not here for it. Yeah, yeah, he's slowly starting to realise how cool our girlie is. After being a complete jerk for many times. Bravo!
And of course I have to say the most important thing. He's doing all this to hurt Suho, intentionally. So now we see him hurting not only one person he actually wants to hurt, but he's using and hurting Jukyung in that process. Seriously. What kind of man does this? The best (worst) part is - it's working. He knows how to get inside Suho's head and has already made both Suho and Jukyung direct victims of his own pain and unresolved anger.
I get that he's hurting because his friend died, but he isn't the only one who lost a friend. Since there's plenty of room for his change of character, I'm assuming that's exactly going to happen in the following episodes.
He is falling for the main girl, afterall.
Tumblr media
Even if he changes, after watching 7 episodes of this show, honestly, I wouldn't want to see him with Jukyung at all. She deserves better. She deserves someone who has had an open heart towards her since the beginning, someone who isn't using her kindness for some vicious payback and someone who isn't playing mind games on her and her friends.
Rant over. If you read everything - I am sorryyyy. I really wanted to like his character up until now, I tried. I see lots of viewers shipping Seojun and Jukyung. That's why I'm assuming there's some major change, some plot twist after first half of the series. Ohhh I'm scared to find out what comes next. But yeah... we'll see. It's just a silly show, nothing serious, right? Hahah
Enough talking from me..
Bye bye for now

Ep 4: Bullet points
Hello! This is about up to Episode 4 of Yellowjackets, and ONLY episode 4 of Yellowjackets. I have not seen beyond the fourth episode, at all, and know NOTHING about this show. Please do not spoil it for me.  Things that are spoilery in nature, for me, include: saying things like  “Just wait!!” confirming or denying anything I put forward, outside information about the cast interviews or creator statements, leading questions like “Do you think “blank moment” means anything?” etc. Remember  that Y’ALL HAVE SEEN THE SHOW AND I HAVE NOT. This informs the way you  talk about things relating to the show. Just be really careful is all  I’m asking. Also: If there is LITERALLY any stance I  could take on this show or character that would make you upset, please  just fucking block the tag
If you WOULD like to discuss the show and my takes on it, the Discord is right here! I don’t go there, so it’s a great place to get every emotion out.
Please thank @sailorsunspot and @moonlight-frittata for backing this odd way of doing a liveblog, and remember my tip jar is always open
With Lottie we are CLEARLY playing with the old, “Is she crazy or is the a prophet?” “Yes” thing, and I have no problem with this and very much looking forward to seeing how we progress along this line.
I am in love with Shauna’s think about writing, and how she’s making it make sense to herself. I have keptn a journal for years and years, and that’s very much how I would identfy it: Making my life make sense to myself. I go back and read the way I felt about people when I first met them, what I noticed about them, what i noticed about me, I have clear, crisp memories immediately when I get back into it, and it, later, gives me distance on how I experienced something versus how I am remembering it later. I love it, truly, it makes me feel connected with my own life.
I am not going to do a whole post on how unbelievably, stupidly incorrect everything around the shooting/hunting sequence of ideas is, but I need you all to know I am going to have a fucking stroke, there is so much more to hunting than just being a good shot, this is not even remotely the smartest way to go about things, and also, I don’t care if Travis is the best shot on planet fucking earth, if someone has acted that way with a gun, we do not let them have the gun and GO OFF WITH THE PERSON THEY HAD PROBLEMS WITH ARE YOU FUCKING OUT OF YOUR MIND.
So the plane. I assume Laura Lee is going to get the thing off the ground, but it’s not going to work somehow. I have no idea how I think they’ll go with it, but I dunno, moment of darkness, something something God, I am waiting. It can’t be for nothing that they have an extremely visibly religious character doing this, pusuing heaven, Tower of Babel, etc.
Both on that point and not on that point, the show gives us a moment of maybe, well, redemption doesn’t feel like the word I’m reaching for, but certainly it shows us that Jackie’s attitude wasn’t ever “fuck Van” it was “save Shauna” (I also maintain that Jackie made the absolute correct choice in the moment, even if it didn’t feel good)
I love that in the first thirty seconds of the show, they showed the girls brutally murdering another girl with the fucking pit. I think what they are trying to do with that moment, the more I watch the show, is reassure us they don’t have a Lost problem. When they  speak over and over again about something too horrific to admit or talk about, we know what it was! We know that they didn’t just become cannibals, they became predators, our in the wild. Now, do I think we fully do not have a Lost problem? UNSURE. I love what the show has done so far, but I am VERY nervous (please don’t say anything either way) that they might not know exactly what is the deal with the symbols, and whether or not there is anything supernatural at issue here, or who the architect of all this is.
I couldn’t work this into any of the longer posts or make it long enough to be its own, but his show works at its MOST genius when it is doing things in both a figurative and literal sense: When Jackie is literally and figuratively haunting Shauna, I love the way that while Travis is telling the truth, we are literally unburying bodies, When Shauna is pretending to be the teenager that she still actually is internally. Amazing.

Unpopular opinion(I think?): The V3 cast is dumb as fuck.(SPOILERS AHEAD)
Ok, so don't get me wrong, these people do have their smart moments, but said moment are so overshadowed by their general stupidity to the point it's a bit painful to watch. These people could've literally figured out the mastermind by the first half of the game, either:
- before the first death
- during the first trial
- during the second trial
Here I will explain each one of the cases of finding the mastermind, having as basis the the mastermind is also a participant in the killing game:
A. Before the first trial:
Something that we know from the start is that the mastermind wants us to kill each other. So let's "give" them a death.
First we'll figure out possible victims, the most obvious pick being Rantaro Amami, since for someone who is talked about as one of the smartest people in the building my man has made some of the dumbest mistakes you can make in a killing game:
a. he is always alone, making himself easy prey
b. he has nothing on him, leaving himself defenseless
c. In cannon he followed the flashlight produced by the camera without thinking that maybe "Hey, this could be a trap!"
Now that we know the "victim", it should go as follows:
→we think of a trap that in theory should kill him(as example we will use Kaede's)
→we make it look as if someone is planting a trap, making it unable of actually killing Rantaroand
→we make sure that he doesn't die before the plan gets into action, which we can do by stalking him for a bit(stalking is wrong, but since this is a killing game I would say it is excuseable).
Once he gets into the library and his attention is caught by the camera we'll only have to stay in position, most importantly we need to stay in blind spots of the cameras in case the mastermind wants to check the perimeter, positioning us in opposite sides of the room if possible.
Since the mastermind has to make sure that there is one death before time runs out, they will use the trap we made as an alibi and go for the kill. Wherever Rantaro dies or not in this part doesn't really matter, cause' we will be able to find out the mastermind and catch them before they flee.
B. During the first trial:
Ok, so let's say that we didn't think about plan A and that Rantaro dies from the mastermind's shotput ball.
I have absolutely no ideea how these bitches didn't connect the dots, but I'll do it for them:
• the moving door(since for some reason Kaede though that it's useless information)
• the way blood was splattered over Rantaro and the way he was laying on the ground(because those details should indicate that Rantaro tried to defend himself, which he wouldn't be able to do if he would've been killed by Kaede's trap)
• the mastermind being the only person that didn't show up with the rest of the group when the body was discovered
• the mastermind generally acting weird
(BECAUSE WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU ACTING LIKE NAGITO FUCKING KOMAEDA, YOU ARE LITERALLY PUTTING THE SUSPICIOUS SPOTLIGHT ON YOU, I MEAN WHY THE FUCK WOULD THERE BE SOMEONE "PLAIN" IN A GROUP OF EARTH'S MOST TALENTED PEOPLE????? AND I DON'T TALK ABOUT YOU CALLING YOURSELF PLAIN BUT THE WAY YOU LOOK AND ACT ASWELL???? LIKE YOU ARE PRETTY PLAIN BUT THAT DOESN'T HELP YOUR GODDAMN CASE)
This should be enough proof that the mastermind's a little bitch.
C. During the second trial
Let's say that we're dumb enough to doom Kaede and boom: second chapter babey.
Now you all are probably wondering: "How could Ryoma's death uncover the mastermind?"
Well the answer is: it can't. That's why Ryoma doesn't die in this chapter: because we are going to fake a death.
Whoever is reading this probably thinks I'm tripping balls at this point, but that's where you're wrong, for we have the best candidates right in front of our very eyes: Angie and Korekiyo.
Something that a corpse should have is low temperature and no heartbeat, things that Angie should be able to replicate.
Now I am sure that you are asking
"How the fuck would Angie be able to get rid of her heartbeat and body temperature???"
Well that is actually pretty simple:
1. A cold bath can get Angie to rather low temperatures to the point you would be able to think "HOLY SHIT ANGIE NOooooo"
2. When it comes to heartbeat things get interesting. All we have to do is get Angie's heartrate low enough so that we can make Monokuma *think* that she died. This is the part that *only* Angie is able to do as she has a big adventage: she prays(or mostly meditates).
I'm not saying that Atua will be able to lower her heartrate(although by the freaky shit she's been able to do I don't deny something like that wouldn't be possible). A fun fact about meditation is that it should be able to get her in a state where her heartbeat would be really low, low enough to fool Monokuma(because I don't think the bear puts on a lil' doctor suit and uses his teeny tiny equipment to cutely check corpses)
NOW we get to actual planning:
Something that we've seen was that Saihara was quickly able to get over Kaede's death, therefore he is giving himself enough time to start thinking of a plan to fake said death.
First things first, he should look for the blind spots of the cameras, then he should talk with Angie and Korekiyo (privately with each one of them) and convice them to take part in his plan.
The night the plan is put in function should go like this:
→Angie takes a cold shower just before she goes to "take candles for her ritual"
→Korekiyo goes to cut some wood for his "kill" and meets up with Angie
→Kiyo bonks Angie with the plank, enough so that it seems as if she fell unconscious(but this is all theatrics)
→Korekiyo carries Angie, heading for her lab, but once he reaches the camera's blind spot he "trips" and wispers to Angie to get ready
→Kiyo continues to carry Angie to her lab
→Kiyo fakes killing Angie with a knife, only cutting her throat a bit so that she bleeds
→Kiyo puts up the whole room decor
→Kiyo leaves
→The "body" is discovered the next day
→The trial starts
The reason why I think this plan is good is because:
1. Kiyo can't betray Shuichi because then Shuichi will be able to tell everyone about what Kiyo did (and everyone trusts Succi Sahara so Kork instanly gets executed+ Kiyo only kills women so getting rid of Shuichi ism't an option)
2. Angie should be safe since Monokuma will be paying attention to the trial (Monokuma shouldn't be able to get rid of Angie's body since without Tenko's death he wouldn't have enough time)
Now all Shuichi has to do is play dumb so that the mastermind will have to take the lead of this case, making them fall right into the trap as the mastermind will have to come with proper arguments in order to make people believe that Kiyo is the culprit since they wouldn't be able to reply with just "Kork is being such a sussy baka right now!" (said aeguments only knows by someone who would be able to look on the cameras). This was the reason I chose Kiyo as the culprit. He is so suspicious all the time that telling the group how suspicious he is makes you look desperate, leading the group to think that you are trying to frame him.
BOOM: Mastermind found. It doesn't take a goddamn genius to think of this.

thoughts on the Ark season 1, there will be spoilers, it will be long
I’m gonna start by saying I like it. It’s a bit campy, the science is not all there, there’s some stuff that bugs me, but overall, I like the show, I’m gonna watch season 2.
I do hope they get a writer with a basic understanding of science for season 2 though, because even if the sci fi rule is “it only needs to sound legit” I don’t feel like this passed the bar? I’m sorry, treating an FTL drive like a USB you can just plug and play from ship to ship is just... not it. And they did have the temporal problems but even the solution for that was not great, in my opinion. I need the crew to be more competent too, there’s just too many instances where it feels like they got screwed because they didn’t bother to test something before trying to use it in the field. For instance, the FTL bubble shield. They literally pulled a mutiny on the basis that the shield was going to protect them, and they didn’t even turn it on once before they needed to use it? Like you’d test a used car more than that before you’d buy it, and yet we have a ship full of supposed experts who didn’t think to test it ONCE before counting on it to save their lives.
The biggest thing I want, though, is for them to make the villains LESS INSANELY EVIL for no actual reason. Seriously, the human race is dying out and instead of just threatening the other Arks (which are carrying some of humanity’s best and brightest) to get into line and follow her lead, Maddox just destroys two thirds of humanity on the off-chance she might kill Trust along with them? I need a real explanation for why they hate one another so much, because two people who are supposed to be the smartest humans in existence should be able to get past it in order to save humanity. I know the point is like “people like them are the reason we were wiped out” and they want Garnet and the others to show there’s a better way, but I just need their evil to make some small amount of sense.
As for ships... I’m all in for the slow-burn, enemies to lovers with Garnet & Lane. They have chemistry, the actors are both great, I really like that Garnet has a second in command who doesn’t just agree with her or trust her blindly, I love the mutual respect they seem to have established. Looking forward to seeing some consequences of a Captain/Subordinate relationship, really hoping they don’t do a Janeway and make it so Garnet can’t have a relationship with anyone now that she’s the Captain.
I really like Brice & Ava as individual characters, and I do ship it, but I wish it had gone a bit more slowly? All for them jumping into bed right away, it’s in character for Brice and I feel like Ava needed it too, but they went straight in for a committed relationship a lot faster than I would’ve liked. Ava’s boyfriend literally just died what, a few months ago? So while I could see her jumping into bed with Brice, her admitting that she’s fallen for Brice so quickly really struck me as forced. Coupled with the fact that she really betrayed Brice in a very bad way --like, she didn’t JUST drug him, she had sex with him THEN drugged him-- I don’t think he should’ve forgiven her so easily? It really strikes me as a violation of trust, if nothing else, and I wanted them to hash it out more, build the trust back before they admitted their feelings. But seeing the ending, I get that they wanted to finish the season with a very much in-love couple so they could tease Ava’s death as a high stakes cliffhanger, but I feel like this diminished the whole ship. That said, they totally give me B’Ellana & Tom vibes (sorry for all the Voyager references, if you haven’t watched it, you SHOULD) and I love them for that, so I really hope that Ava isn’t dead and that in Season 2 we’ll get to see the consequences of them getting together so quickly, maybe have some trust issues from Brice come up, basically, I want some more angst over here.
Alicia and Angus really don’t do a thing for me. It might just be that they seem so young, or that the idea that the nerds have to fall in love is boring to me, but I don’t see the chemistry. I do like the character development we’ve seen so far; Alicia coming from someone who was smart, but obedient, to someone who will disobey orders she doesn’t believe in and can think outside the box to save the day, I hope to see her become a really strong character. As for Angus, I’m glad at the end that they seemed to hint that he has some lasting trauma from his experience with Kelly; if they just write off his being kidnapped and sexually harassed by her I’ll be pretty disappointed. I’m not mad they didn’t get into it more, there wasn’t time for them to do it justice and I really want this to be well-handled, but we need to see Angus getting to process what happened to him.
I love Felix, but honestly, I cannot understand why they gave a white man a samurai sword. Swords in space are cool, but if you want a samurai in space, they should be Japanese. Like this isn’t hard guys, basic diversity 101. That said, I love that Felix is a gay man who isn’t effete or any other stereotypes, I love that he’s the character that has a child he’s been separated from and feels guilt for it, although it does bother me how abruptly they killed off Robert. I’m really hopeful that they have something more interesting in mind with Katherine, since we don’t know what happened to her yet. I’m hoping they do something with time travel here, because I don’t really want them to bring an eight year old onto the ship, but I definitely want more family-angst for Felix.
Kabir is a fantastic character, in my opinion. I love her relationships with literally everybody, how Felix helped her with her addiction --and how the addiction is being shown as an ongoing thing, not just a one and done issue-- and Cat betrayed her trust later on. I like that she’s a mentor-figure for Alicia, and just a confidante for everyone. She’s the character that’s everybody’s best friend, and honestly I can’t even hate her for it. It would be so easy to have had her be the perfect maternal role, but they threw in the addiction and it really fleshed her out, in my opinion.
I really hope they stay completely away from anything further with Cat & Trust, to be honest. I like Cat, I find her really interesting and compelling and I love that she lets people think she’s just a vapid celebrity when in actuality she has depths that she hides under that blonde wig. I don’t like Trust, but I realize we’re not supposed to like him. I do want them to get more into what exactly the “Juno Project” is all about, it honestly sounds pretty eugenics-y so I’m hoping they’re real careful with this.
Honestly, the show’s got a lot of potential from here. The characters all have room for growth, the ships have room to go places, they set up some hooks for future plots and I’m very hopeful. It really reminds me a lot of other sci fi shows, like Star Trek: Voyager (as evidenced by my references) but also Stargate: Universe and I just love the vibe of it. This got real long, I won’t blame anyone if they don’t want to read all my thoughts, but I don’t have anyone to talk to about this show so I just wanted to get them all out while they were fresh. I’m really looking forward to season 2, and so grateful they already announced it’s renewed.

want to make a place for my thots of anything with no viewers if i remember to come on here. i cant believe i keep having to make these since i end up getting followers and interacting. but i'm an adult with shit to do irl and things to fight and this fandom is almost 20y old so idt i will do that. lol. just finished atla like 20y too late cos my parents hated me and my bro watching tv growing up. journaling/blogging thots!!! ugh. i wish i didnt hve adhd and dyspraxia lmao gonna split them up so i dont get overwhelmed reading my bullshit. if u stumble upon this it doesnt make sense sry
politically a lot of critique that i have to think about. character and plot wise it was pretty good and tight esp for a kids show. amazing female characters. can't wait for the bi agenda from LoK but i may take a while for that. p much i have to say these are great characters and i could talk a lot about them but i'm shocked at what i took away with regards to the romantic rships from the show and the characterization via it.
re love lines:
i wish kataang was written better in the show (MY opinion if any1 stumbles upon this). i don't ~ship~ zutara bc i am an adult and even back then no cos who cares lol but i see the appeal and am attracted to that. i do think we have to retire the trope of the "both sides but falling in love" not because it isn't possible but because post 10/7 (free palestine) i don't think it's worth it to look at it this way anymore. until someone proves themselves not worthy of death because of the resistance fighting back then they NEED TO PROVE THEMSELVES IMMEDIATELY. no more of this i'm in a concentration camp but he's a nazi bullshit. no more i'm a slave but he's the slave master's son (i mean in this case u could have been related but no1 listens to me!) it's repetitive, reductive, and untrue.
that being said: i just never care about the typical bildungsroman love story. you see the One Person bc i guess the kids tasked with saving the world have to be monk-adjacent (in aang's case quite literally) bc understandably theyre so fucked up lol. but it's always sooooo boring to me esp if it's f/m.
katara is such a complex character and mae whitman brings a wisdom to her voice that can be frustrating to connect with for me but her character arc, her strength, her MIND, her heart, and her fists. i think ppl probs like zutara the most when shes' going batshit and no one can understand aang's perspective. but aang is one of a kind and the cutest smartest sweetest loser ever. not my fav char but i love him. he's like if i had a younger brother and not an older one lmao.
of course they're (kataang) together. they were meant to be from the moment they saw e/o and that stupid cave kiss...this is why you don't wait until 32 to watch this lol.
but nothing surprised me and it was meant to be the way it was written. that's also why i find it understandable but shocking people in the universe and apparently outside of it were surprised at aang's turmoil over ozai. like are you joking? he's a 12 year old vegetarian monk. which: i loved his vegetarianism and obviously he was going to be but very casually they put in a line that hints as to why he would be and why many of us are...so i am dedicated to it again.
so wrt that and zutara...the episode where he's with her with the dude that killed her moms and his support of her i can see why people like them. the cave ep obviously but this show is veryyyyy free with affection i noticed and there's some jealousy but they all get over that pretty quickly. i read some of the comics and i could see different rships happening and i definitely think this world lends to queerness (me personally i love monogamy but a certain type lol so not rly interested in much poly but i do like a throuple) but i could see most being bi+ or having identified as that in the past, or labeling themselves but nto limiting. that's just an aside for meee...
so like katara was being katara. i could see suki and zuko being romantic but also a deep friendship that could be deeply affectionate either affect or physically or both bc that's who these ppl are. katara is a very intense person and that's part of why she can be annoying. that's part of why they ALL can be overwhelming. theyre intense, traumatized, repressed kids and teens with mostly good hearts (or just a person so disconnected from herself but also a fascist so u know. her going nuts lol)
hmm what else oh yea. so i came away with maiko......gjpasig the show was paced and plotted well. i am a libertarian communist (anarcho-commie) so MANNNNN i wish they did better on that front but again i must remember i am 32, ancom, and the world is diff. but anyway lmao so team avatar is who i would want to spend time with but i got so interested in mai and ty lee (mailee...). that beach ep conversation was so good, that whole ep, their argument. it was extremely teenage and showed how fucked up they all are. how confused and fucking lost and pathetic. how small their lives are. how boring....so mai...

Miraculous Ladybug thoughts, Season 1: Antibug
Honestly had to root for the invisible person for this one. I don't like seeing people suffer...for the most part...but with the shit she pulls on a daily basis, Chloe deserved some retribution.
Everyone had to be thinking that Adrien and Marinette were banging or something...I mean COME ON.
Marinette spitting some truth here.
I love that Chat just lets Ladybug drag him as she pleases, no questions asked, just rolls with it.
Chat's little smile in the elevator with Ladybug is so cute.
Chat. No. Bad. Pun.
Jagged is the smartest character in this show, no one else EVER notices anything.
Fang, my beloved.
God, Chloe you're such a terrible person. That's your friend, why would you say something like that?
CHAT THE SPINNING IS BEAUTIFUL!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!
Aww, Chat's little pout when she puts the flower away. Poor thing.
You know what, no, I had to pause the episode because I have to rant a bit here. I'm all for Ladybug admitting she's wrong and even more for Chat calling her out on it, I think that's great and I'd love to see more of it! But, Chloe treated someone who was nothing but good to her terribly and they got akumatized, and, when someone came to help her, she was a little brat about it and talked down to and about everyone there. Yes, Ladybug does make mistakes and yes, Chat should absolutely call her out for it. But, dealing with Chloe like she has her whole life, Ladybug is not in the wrong for not putting trust in her. In fact, given the facts presented, why should she listen to Chloe? Sure, Chloe was right about where the akuma was. But why would Ladybug have any reason to trust and listen to her? I certainly wouldn't. Also this isn't just Ladybug, this is also Marinette--who as long as she can remember, has been Chloe's personal punching bag and knows what she's like. And, Chat is also Adrien--who has known Chloe his whole life and likely has some idea of the real her. Neither of them know that the other personally knows her, sure, but after everything she's done and the number of akumatizations she's already caused at this point...it would be reasonable to assume that even NOT knowing her personally would warrant reason not to trust what she says. So yes, I have a problem with the fact that, yes, Ladybug was wrong and made a mistake but I don't think it's justified that her mistake was not listening to Chloe. I actually think that given what they know about her, that that was the right move here. The actual mistake was not that Ladybug didn't listen to Chloe, not at all, and in fact her mistake was something minor that she managed to figure out on her own. (And as a side note, of course she has a hard time trusting others in general, the adults in her life do nothing and her peers have never been on her side for most of her life, but that's a rant for another time.) Chloe is given many chances all the time to earn the trust of others and each time proves that they shouldn't, so it shouldn't be a mistake or error or lack of judgement or what have you that her word isn't taken at face value--thus I think Ladybug was completely in the right to act as she did. I just needed that to be clarified because it was bothering me. Rant over, back to the episode.
Chloe, you literally lied. You were literally a liar.
Yes! Unstoppable team! Give Chat the respect he deserves!
The building is surrounded by police and reporters and a teenage girl that looks exactly like Ladybug not only manages to avoid being seen but also sneaks into the building all of them are watching without anyone noticing. ...Alright.
HOW? HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN? HE'S TIED TO HIS OWN STAFF???
That's right, Chat. CALL HER OUT ON HER SHIT. SOMEONE HAS TOO.
Okay, I know it's a cartoon and blah blah blah, things work differently. But, I need the whole scene of what happened AFTER Marinette untied him. Why you might ask? Becaaaauussseee, there are only two options and I need to see both or either of them. First option: Marinette unties Chat Noir but is untransformed, which means he doesn't immediately jump back on the roof when she does so WHICH then therefore means that he immediately falls to the ground (very ungracefully, I might add, knowing Chat and that he would not predict this) because of gravity since she can't pull him up--but he would ultimately be unhurt and Marinette laughs at this for a moment, obviously, because it's hilarious. Option one is good, I would pay to see this. Second option (the arguably more entertaining and more likely option since she probably couldn't untie both his hands and legs in time): Marinette unties his feet and attempts or succeeds in loosening the knots on the hands and immediately CATAPULTS Chat's staff forward and watches as he very likely fears for his life as he propels toward the ground and barely gets out before he hits the ground (also very ungracefully, like this very much was not a smooth Chat moment, I assure you. In both options, he obviously superhero jumps or climbs back on the roof to get his staff--dealer's choice. Unless gravity works differently here, there are no other options that mean he didn't see Marinette. I NEED TO KNOW AND I'M DYING TO SEE IT.
Ladybug, was the bell ringing really necessar--nevermind, he like it. CHAT.
Oh, I saw that Ladybug, I saw you looking at his lips.
Yes! Chat respect! YYYYYEEEESSSS!!!!!
...So like...Chloe has a massive totally unsubtle crush on Ladybug, right? Like that's what I'm watching?
What was the wink for???
THE LOVE IN CHAT'S EYES!!!
THE LOVE IN LADYBUG'S EYES!!!
...Does Adrien just casually listen to their conversations? What's with his face here?

Where My Country Gone or The Brain Worms Cometh
So that Jason Aldean video is a little bit racist but the song, itself? Yeesh. As a black dude, those lyrics straight up read as a threat. I've literally heard those exact phrases hurled at a protester holding a sign in the most racist city in America. Like, i don't see how you can what that dude it's saying and not think "Sundown City." Probably because you don't know what a Sundown City is, which actually still exists to this day because, like that ridiculous f*cking song, the United States of America is racist! What the f*ck is going on right now, man? Did i travel back in time and didn't realize it? Did i slip into a willfully ignorant, and aggressively stupid, timeline? It's been the hottest day of in history, worldwide, for, like, a week straight and people still don't believe in climate change. Koalas are on fire but whatever. Motherf*ckers are drinking Borax, thinking it helps digestion or some sh*t, even though its literally poison and has a big ass warning label on it telling you not to do that exact thing! Marjorie Taylor Greene, who thinks Jewish Space Lasers start California wildfires and was still elected to Congress by an entire state of utterly ridiculous white people, showed a picture on the house floor of Hunter Biden's raw dick for reasons and nothing has happened about that. Trump literally tried to incite a civil war and people still plan to vote for this clown! This man has been indicted, like, three times this year (twice, federally), and he's STILL the leading republican candidate! Dude got on TV and basically said, if he's re-elected, he's going full Putin and people cheered! I don't even understand. Like, i see and hear these thing and think, "Danger" or "Problematic" but other people, who just happen to have less melanin than me and lived and entirely different life devoid of said melanated issues, see "The good ol' days" or "A Strong leader" or "Liberal woke myth." Is it because I'm black? IS it because I'm smart? Is it because i can think for myself and have the ability to come to my own conclusions? Is it because i trust in science and not Jesus? How can so many people listen to a song like Try That in a Small Town or watch a film like The Sound of Freedom, and just accept those dog whistles as gospel? Admittedly, The Sound of Freedom isn't as f*cked up as the media would lead you to believe but it's not entirely free of controversy, especially considering the utter craziness it's lead actor pushes anytime he has a goddamn platform. Like, the people who watch that and think it's little more than alternative Hollywood , conservative propaganda, probably listen to Joe Rogan and thing he's the second smartest person on the planet after Elon Musk.

Mie, I’m begging for some Jean college au bf hcs - im literally so down bad for this man and the way you write men is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
Absolutely, not a problem 😌 I saved this ask as a draft a while ago when you sent it, sorry for just now getting to it. Anyway, I love Jean with my whole heart, best boy, best boyfriend <33
King of forehead kisses, and not even just because of his height in comparison to yours; he just likes it. He likes the feeling of pressing his lips against your skin, and making you feel safe.
Brings you tea or coffee however you like it every day without fail. If he can get it to you in the morning before work/school then he’ll do that, if not he’ll meet you some time in the middle of the day to drop it off. Your own personal courier just for drinks.
He… has a thing for long(er) nails. He loves the feeling of them against his skin, even if you’re not scratching to apply pressure—just you holding his hand them grazing his skin is enough for him.
That being said, he will pay for you to get your nails done. Actually, he’ll pay for… almost anything you want, but the nails benefit him as much as they do you so feel free to ball out.
He never blowdries his hair because he doesn’t... know how to do the back of it. You did it for him once and he hasn’t stopped thinking about it since, but he’s also too embarrassed to ask you to do/style it again.
On the subject of hair, he does do his best to style it and take care of it, but he’s a sucker whenever you play with it. Sometimes he feigns like you’re messing up all his hard work, but he’ll literally crane his head into your touch. He loves it.
The first time he lays on top of you and you run your hands through his hair... top 10 most euphoric moments of his life. He tries to fight off the sleep threatening to take over him, but it’s futile. Give it 15 minutes at most before he’s knocked out like a baby.
Dogs love him. Anytime you’re in a park or just taking a walk and there’s a dog around, it’ll come up to him and he looks adorable leaning down to pet it. He loves dogs, too! So he’s always happy to stop and pet them. He’d be a 10/10 dog dad.
Has your name saved in his phone with two hearts at the end. Do not point it out.
Loves taking pictures together and if you guys are on a date, he’ll ask someone to get a picture for him. He just likes having them to look back on (and to send to his mom, later).
He doesn’t mind painting classes or videos or tutorials, but he hates paint by numbers kits. He claims that they have no sense of color theory and that it takes the originality and fun out of painting. Not to mention the quality of the paints isn’t great to begin with; all of which he takes very seriously.
It’s pretty cute actually, to see him get worked up over the paint kits. He claims that painting and drawing isn’t even something he takes “that seriously,” it’s just a hobby for him (one he’s insanely good at); but in moments like these, you can tell that he’s way more into art and art theory and history than he lets on.
Huge movie guy, from animated movies to martial arts movies, Jean is usually willingly to give anything a watch at least once. When he’s high, he can go on about his favorite directors and art styles and movie details for hours if you don’t stop him. It’s super cute. Just don’t bring up Moana, because he’ll start crying.
Arm around the shoulder kind of boyfriend for sure. It’s a casual way of keeping you near him and letting everyone know that you guys are together. Plus it allows for him to easily pull you into him for a quick forehead kiss when needed.
Listen. If you hug his arm, he’s on cloud nine. He tries to be nonchalant about it but he’s about three seconds away from his eyes rolling back in his head it feels that good to him. Bonus if you lean your head on his bicep a little—then he’s a goner.
He takes his bagels very seriously and believes that both you and him deserve nothing but the best quality bagels. He’ll grumble if a bakery gives you guys a less than favorable one and make a note that taking the long route to get to his favorite place is much more worth it.
Always makes you walk on the side furthest from the cars. If he notices you’re not, he’ll just shuffle behind you until he’s shouldering the street and you’re on the inside.
He grew up on a kind of modern ranch situation; not exactly all the way in the countryside, but not isolate from the city, either. Because of this, he knows how to ride horses, take care of smaller farm animals, tend to plants, and yes he knows how to use a lasso. You wouldn’t know any of that though, because he never ever talks about it. The only way you find out is when he takes you to visit his mom’s house for the first time, and she asks him for a hand around the place.
(He’s got a cowboy hat, too, but refuses to put it on. He got it when he was, like, nine, okay, leave him alone).
When he thinks you look tired, he’ll wrap his arms around your shoulders to hug you. It’s usually followed up with a kiss to your head, and a promise that you guys will go home soon and get food on the way.
He’s a really good cook. He just understands and flavors and pairings really well, so he doesn’t need a recipe to make something that tastes good; he just kind of knows what to add to get the balance he’s looking for.
Naturally, he’ll cook for you. Especially if he finds out that you haven’t eaten all day/in a long time. He doesn’t care if it’s 11pm and it might seem excessive to make steak and potatoes with a side salad at this hour, he’s gonna do it to make sure you eat, and you are going to sit there and watch.
He also bakes pretty well, though he isn’t as experimental with his baking as he is with his cooking. He usually sticks to what he knows, and it’s not cupcakes and brownies and cakes; he’s better at croissants, and cheesecakes, and canelés.
Dating Jean means getting along with his friends. If you guys didn’t know each other before you started dating, be prepared to be ambushed by Connie and Sasha (after Jean stops hiding you away and gives them the green light lmfao). Neither of them waste time with the small talk and formalities; straight into mini golfing and beer pong. They make you feel welcome right away.
Sasha always teases that you’re too good for Jean, and that she might just steal you away for herself some day. Sasha is also Jean’s main confidant, so she really knows just how much he loves you, and yeah, she teases him for being lovesick, but really she’s happy for Jean. And proud of him for facing his feelings like this.
Connie adores you, and you know he trusts you when he starts going to you for advice/help. Could be anything from schoolwork, to what color he should get his new shoes in. He’s also the one who, surprisingly, you have the sentimental talks with about your relationship with Jean. It’s easy to overlook, but Connie loves Jean, and he’s come to love you too; he just wants you both to be happy, so he’s there to listen when you need it.
Jean waits outside of your classroom after you’ve had a test or presentation, usually with a drink or a snack, or the promise of taking you out as a treat. Always tells you he’s proud of you, and is there to comfort you if you think you didn’t do too well.
He does not shut up about whatever major you’re in. It could be the same as his; it could be the complete opposite as his. He thinks it’s so sick that you’re doing it, you make it look cooler, you make it look better, and he’s certain you’re the smartest person in your program.
He’s pretty serious about his studies, too, so he’s always down to study with you in the library whenever you’re both free. More often than not, he shows up after you, usually with food or extra chargers. He greets you with a kiss on the forehead, and asks you how you are while massaging your shoulders gently. If it’s been a while since you took a break, that’s the first item on the list, after that, he gets to work and stays with you until you’re ready to go, even if he doesn’t have as much work to do.
He always sits across from you. This goes for when you’re in the library, or out to eat at a restaurant; Jean loves sitting across from you. He gets to see your face the best that way, and he adores looking into your eyes when you talk.
He’s not... not a morning person. He’s not up at 6am ready to grind, but he wakes up before noon; let’s say 10am is his happy medium. That being said, if you wake up before him, regardless of the time, there’s a 9/10 chance he’ll lay on your back and tell you to hush so you guys can sleep for 10 more minutes.
If you’re (close) friends with Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, Jean is... happy you’ve got people to rely on, but, “Of all people on the planet, you put your trust in Jaeger?” He acts so bitter (because he is), but deep down inside, he’s glad you have Eren to rely on if you need to.
(Also, you have to humble him and remind him that he and Eren aren’t all that different. If you like him, why wouldn’t you get along with Eren, bye).
Turns out though, that it’s not Eren who threatens to beat him up if he breaks your heart. It’s not even Mikasa, although, her threat goes without saying; it’s Armin he’s terrified of.
The last time Armin hated someone, it was this guy in your program, who happened to share a few mutual classes with him, too. Jean never knew the full story, just that he’s pretty sure that kid dropped out the following semester.
If you have a job on campus, Jean usually doesn’t show up while you’re working (knowing how embarrassed he would be if you did that to him), unless you work the night shift and it’s dead. Connie, however, does show up; usually in some kind of crisis (“Please help me, I don’t know what the fuck APA formatting is and this is due tonight, please, please, please!!”). Your coworkers actually thought Connie was your boyfriend for a minute. That’s when Jean starts showing up more lmfao.
He makes it a point to go on a scheduled, night out, kind of date at least twice a month. He knows life gets busy with school and work and midterms, but he always makes sure you both set side a time to take a well-deserved break and be with each other.
He’s the romantic type, so these dates are pretty swoon worthy, too. Drive-in movies, nice dinners, classy art exhibits, Jean plans it all. On that note, he really likes planning dates; he just doesn’t like talking about them with his friends beforehand.
All in all, very romantic, very precious boyfriend. He’s always thinking about you, what you need, and how he can help you out. You’re one of his main priorities, and he just wants to treat you right.

alright, *cracks fingers*. so. I’ve written up a transcript just to lay it all out for myself and get the most important parts. listen, everyone. for all intents and purposes and legal reasons, THIS WAS A DREAM. alright? I dreamt this. and he is literally the nicest human being ever so I don’t want to just like... put our whole convo out there like that, but I think he said some stuff that was important for people to hear so... here we go
my *dreamt* zoom call with thee crowley below the cut
The first five minutes (of my dream) was just a bunch of introduction stuff and talking about my favorite Supernatural seasons which eventually led to him telling me how they filmed the Season 8 finale (which they did over the span of three days, and in between takes the crew members were like dead silent, as to keep the moment going, which Mark thought was really cool. Said it was one of his favorite things they did on Supernatural.) Anyways, he eventually asked me if I had any questions, so, I’ll start there.
MARK: So, do you have any questions you want to ask me about aaaaaannyyyythingggg?
ME: Um, I guess the number one thing I wanna know… um, so, I know you can’t speak for Dean and I don’t want to talk about Dean because you’re not Jensen, but, there’s like a lot of questions I guess or subtext or whatever concerning Dean’s sexuality and what not, but I want to know about demon Dean and Crowley’s relationship and if there was, I don’t know, anything like, any implied –
MARK: Well I think – I think you’re talking about… there’s a massive difference between sex and love. There’s a massive difference between, um, well, they can intertwine perfectly, that’s not the issue, but I mean you would believe with all the things that Crowley did for the Winchesters, that he was – that he very much loved Sam and Dean or loved who they are or what they are. To reduce it to, you know, a crush, or to something that – I mean, I don’t know, I think Crowley is very probably pansexual more than anything else; I don’t think anything phased him. I think, that’s why the whole stuff with Lucifer and licking the floor was kind of really stupidly boring for me because Crowley did weirder and crazier things on his own. I mean, it became this joke of trying to humiliate somebody who can’t be humiliated. There’s nothing you can humiliate Crowley with. So, that never sort of made sense, that was just a sort of writer’s glitch of thinking, “oooh, this would be funny to knock him down into subservience” and that’s what he does on a Wednesday, I mean it’s like the most un-inspiring thing. I think so much is projected onto the relationship between, certainly the four main characters, um, and, you know, look, getting comfortable with one’s sexuality and one’s identity is a massively complicated things, and if you want to live vicariously through what you believe people’s identity is and you can relate to that, great!  Who cares? I mean, can I be absolutely honest? Apart from – what I do care about, you know, don’t ever take this and piece me or misquote it, because it’s very, very specific – um, somebody stopping somebody being able to express their own identity or whatever is an issue for me. That will always be an issue for me. Um, we should all be treated equally, and we all have the rights to believe and follow those things that we wish to follow, but to project relationships onto characters is an odd thing to do. I mean, it’s wishful thinking in a lot of ways, I mean, actually it’s quite… it’s quite reasonable because in the past if you think about it, if you ask your parents or anyone else, the only way sexuality was used was to, uh, literally demonize somebody. It was only ever used to say somebody was bad because this who they’re in love with. You know, that’s, that’s the thing. And it’s a massive change in the world that we’re moving towards, I should say, uh – a lack of consequence for who one loves, apart from the obvious consequences of human nature. You know, political consequences for who one loves – I’ve just watched Pete Butteigieg being, you know, sitting in congress with his husband there with him; that’s the first time that’s ever happened in United States congress and I’m so proud of that. Not just because the man is gay and happily married – that’s not even the issue for me, it’s because he’s the best man for the job and one of the smartest people on the planet. You know, it’s like using sexual templates, as they were, or gender templates as they are, or orientation templates as they are, we always use to disclude people from things. They were always used to discriminate. You know, labeling somebody was a way of discrimination. And where as labels are very important, to ones self, and they’re very important politically and they’re very important socio-economically and they’re very important in all those aspects, I yearn for a time when nobody gives a damn. I really do. But I mean, we have to go through so much to get there. I mean, let’s be honest, you can’t, you know, right the wrongs of hundreds of years of oppression in 20 minutes by saying, “let’s all move forward”. It just doesn’t work that way, it never has. But there’s a responsibility there, that if you’re going to represent, that you represent all. That you don’t just represent you. So, one has to be careful with a television program or, or, you know, Misha or myself, or, not speaking for the boys, but just generally, um, you have to be careful that what you advocate is inclusive, not disinclusive. Not excluding people... and it’s so hard to frame these conversations, that they’re equitable, it’s so hard to do that. And so, you know, we spend years pointing out the inequity and the injustice and the unfairness of the whole situation, and… I don’t know if the trick is to rise above, or, uh, maybe it’s as simple as love and coming together as a human race and make it very difficult for people to discriminate and exclude based on gender, race, color, religion, any of the subsets of humanity that we’ve decided we have. So, I think personal responsibility is the most important thing, but if one is in a position of power on a TV show, you got to remember what you’re representing, that you have a, you know, you have to cover all or cover none. So, you know, but if you stick to a story and you have a story about a person or two people and their journey, that’s shining light on things. If you try to advocate for all, I think it becomes a little more complicated. Does that make sense?
so, i just feel like he said some important things there, but like I also don’t really understand what he’s getting at really, y’know? oh! also, he didn’t watch the finale lmao
also! there’s this:
MARK: Because if you come down on one side or another, you’re admitting the sides, and that has its own political ramifications. If you push the ball up in the air and say, “you decide”, I don’t think that’s copping out. I think that’s, maybe not fulfilling everybody’s expectations, or not fulfilling everybody’s hopes, but at least you’re getting the question asked. You know, at least you’re getting the question asked. At least people are relating to it and going, “well, what if?”. Because it’s all “what if”, I mean, it’s a TV show, so it’s “what if”, you know? It’s not Misha being in love with Jensen, I mean as much as he loves Jensen, I don’t think that’s his thing – I mean you never know – but I’m saying yet again, I don’t exclude anything from anybody (I LITERALLY CAN’T BELIEVE HE SAID THIS LMAO). But to force my opinion or my identity belief upon a situation has a cost. It may be right, it may be absolutely right, and it may be necessary in many, many cases. But, in that circumstance, I think… there are a lot of people in the world that say that Jesus, for example, was anti-homosexual and that he was – and none of that is true, and none of that is provable in the New Testament, and I’m not talking about Leviticus and I’m not talking about early Bible and I’m not talking about the fact that more than 25,000 words have been changed in the King James edition and all of this stuff, but these things that people hold so sacred, the confusion that arises from that is being told that a man loving a man or a woman loving a woman or a man loving a man and a woman or whatever combination being there is either right or wrong because you’re being told by a pastor or the leaders of your church, is a very difficult thing to break down. I think what you have to do is at least put it out there so it’s visible, and so it becomes less and less deniable. And you know, people change over years, that’s the trouble with youth, is shit doesn’t move fast enough. “I need a decision now!”, and unfortunately, when you’re dealing with centuries of prejudice and centuries of un-enlightenment, I think that sometimes the best thing to do is reach as many people as possible and pose the question. And sometimes it’s essential to make a statement, absolutely, no question. It is essential to make a stand, in some circumstances. But to polarize a TV show, can be very disingenuous to those who need to go ask their own questions, who need to go say, “well, where does Jesus say this is wrong?” you know, if that’s your beliefs.
he also said, when we went off on a tangent about doom patrol:
MARK: There are issues that are being addressed here [on Doom Patrol] that are not being addressed on other shows, and yet again, we have the format, and I don’t know that Supernatural ever had the format because it was on the CW.
anywho, in conclusion, fuck the cw.
also, again, for all intents and purposes this was a dream I had :)))))))

See, with the Pyramids, people always forget that the Giza Pyramids aren't the first pyramids built. You have multiple other Pyramid building attempts, from Djoser through to Snefru, that show us how they worked out the angle, how they figured out cladding, how they calculated the size and number of blocks they needed to carve out. But you mention 'well they made several trial runs, used maths to work it out, and manpower to build it' and a bunch of weird guys who do nothing but watch History Channel documentaries and troll comment sections because they're the smartest and most logical, just pop out of nowhere to tell you every expert is fake and dismiss any evidence you have for it out of hand.
We know how the Pyramids were built. Conscripted and paid workers (kinda like national service), over 20 years, putting blocks in a pile, logically. They used some sort of ramp to get them up there, and that method is still up for debate, but since they used ramps for literally everything else they built seems silly to say they wouldn't use them here. The only reason anyone would dismiss this is because they'd rather believe 'aliens' built them, rather than the Egyptian people. And that folks, is insidious, racist, thinking.

4. Favorite animal? I could easily just put him as the answer, I mean
Tumblr media
Appa is the best, I don't think I even need to explain this. But the question doesn't especify from which show so...
Tumblr media
Naga not only is my favorite animal exclusive to LOK, she's also the mix of two of my favorite real life animals.
8. Favorite battle? Tough choice!
Both series excel in the fighting department, so in order to not hurt my brain thinking too much (at least for ATLA) I'm gonna go with the fight I think is one of the most fun to watch and that has to be Toph vs all 7 Earth Rumble VI fighters from her debut episode "The Blind Bandit".
I've never been into WWE, except when done in animation and by shows I like, and what a spectacle it is to see Toph face The Boulder & Co. and handing their a$$es to them while sending them flying out of the arena in a flawless victory. It's a real blast!
Favorite battle in LOK: I would say is Korra vs. Kuvira in the series’ finale. Not only is her rematch against the great uniter but this fight represents Korra's true comeback. She may not be the Avatar she was before her battle with Zaheer, but she's overcome the worst of it and now she's stronger than ever.
Aftar everything she's gone through, there's something amazing about the display of her fighting and bending habilities during this fight. She's come a long way and it shows! And while the battle gets interrupted because of the giant mecha exploding, I belive that had they continued the fight outside the metal box, Korra would've had a bigger advantage - and that’s not mentioning the Avatar State, which she only used to protect Kuvira from an energy beam equal to a nuclear explotion that would've easily obliterated her had it not been for Korra's power and skill.
23. Favorite Korra moment? O.O Boy, and I thought 29 was hard to answer. C’mon, I LOVE Korra and watching her do anything, really. Any moment she’s on screen, or page (as long as she’s not suffering in any way, kind or form), is my favorite Korra moment <3
That said, for the sake of the question, I’m gonna have to choose...
Tumblr media
Her reunion with Asami in, well, “Reunion” lol
Tumblr media
I think we’re all well aware what this moment meant to Asami, who was already in love with Korra at the time (I will die on that hill). But to the Avatar, while not given the proper time to fully let it sink in, I like to think this is the moment where she no longer doubts her romantic feelings for Asami are no illusion or mistake and that she's, in fact, crushing on her best friend 😊
Not to mention, that look she gives Asami after the hug is such a soft and happy expression, it literally melts my heart! Every. Single. Time.
25. Asami or Korra? In what regard?
Tumblr media
As in the better fighter, the prittiest, the smartest, the richest- wait, sorry, there’s no contest in that one lol Just kidding! 😆
I’m gonna go with Asami here. And simply because the entire series revolves around Korra (titular character, duh!) and I couldn’t ask for more of her - actually, I could but that’s not the point. Besides, I know there will be more Korra content eventualy...
I’m not saying I want Asami to be the protagonist of her own series, I like her right where she is, thank you. Even so, she’s the least explored (I even dare say “developed”) member of Team Avatar - the brothers even got their own mini web series, Republic City Hustle, depicting them 3 years prior to the main series - and to this day I’m left wanting to know more about Asami.
There’s bits and pieces told to us about her backstory. Mainly that she lost her mother at a young age and she’s well trained in self defence, but nothing’s ever shown and that’s only concerning her past. But what about her present in the series? Asami, as an individual, is rarely touched upon to the point some people think there’s nothing of substance or importance about her, besides that her money and vehicles get the protagonists to every place they need to be, reducing her to the LOK version of Appa (we all know the memes). They easily forget a lot happens to Asami, and I can’t blame them because the series never takes the time to explain to us how she manages to cope with any of it. It all happens behind the scenes. And I hate to say it but the more I think about it, I find that offencive to her character.
Thanks for asking, gray face. Sorry it took so long to asnwer...hope you enjoys the reading.
Anyone that would like to can ask more from here :)

I feel like I can’t stress enough how important Spinner is to the ‘My Villain Academia’ arc, and how badly I need BONES to give him the attention and care in portraying him that he deserves. BONES have been pretty faithful to the manga, they’ve followed the story and brought each scene on the page to the screen... Except for some reason not when it comes to the Villains. Maybe it’s because arguably the Villains wasn’t the focal point of the show and they weren’t what most viewers watched the show to see; fine, but that was the case in the beginning and no longer.
Shigaraki Tomura, his exploits, his character, his story *is* the manga: the Heroes and protag react mainly to him and his actions, his past and motivations is one of the main factors that caused the current central conflict, and resolving his character arc is what will probably bring the whole series - to its end or near end. Yeah, imo I argue that everything about him moves the plot along.
Unfortunately(?), I think Horikoshi-sensei realized/decided/planned this a bit too late in his pacing. He said himself during the Stain arc or so that at first, he wasn’t planning on doing villain profiles - he wanted the villains to be scary.
But for the time being, I have no intention of writing about [the villains]. I do the introductions because l personally like those sorts of behind-the-scenes things, and also because I want my readers to feel a connection to the characters. But with villains, I decided I can't have them too likable. They're supposed to be terrifying.
Often it’s what we don’t know/understand/predict/expect (and therefore can’t get a grasp on) that makes things scary/uncomfortable/dislikable. The Villains were strange, seemingly erratic and incomprehensible in their behavior and motivations, malicious without rhyme or reason. Even now, I think a lot of people still think they’re just ‘completely evil crazy psychopaths’.
Anyways, the quote from him is from Volume 7. A whole bunch of volumes later in Vol. 23, he decided nvm: “The story has evolved beyond that point, so I'm ready to start doing villain profiles.” As he said himself, the profiles are to help the readers connect with the characters, make them relatable and likable. That’s what My Villain Academia is all about in the meta sense - to demystify Shigaraki Tomura and his ragtag chaos friends, to give them depth, and to induce interest in their stories, if not sympathy. Hype them up for the rather major roles they play in this ‘final arc’ of the series.
Enter Spinner, the lizard ninja guy.
Besides his unusual looks, Spinner is really, truly nothing special. He’s got a weak quirk, he holds no title of being the strongest or smartest or whatever member of the League, he’s not related by blood or thematically to any major players in the main conflicts, and his ‘tragic’ backstory is completely mundane compared to his allies - he was bullied as a child, and so is fueled by resentment. In the events leading up to the start of the arc, Spinner is the most moral and understandable of the Villains - has a ‘good’ reason for his crimes (eradicate corrupted Heroes), has standards on who he’s willing to fight (questions attacking the police and anyone with a ‘true heroic spirit’), and wants a concrete game plan instead of aimless discord the rest of the League seems alright with.
Once the arc starts, we immediately learn the basics of his character - he’s got a heteromorph quirk that makes his appearance a humanoid gecko and it’s something he was born with that he can’t control, and yet he faces discrimination from literal KKK-type cultists who refuse to see him as human. This was more or less his life in his small, rural hometown, harsh enough that his heart had become ‘completely empty’. It’s simple, it’s relatable and an realistic analogy anyone who has faced prejudice and harassment and been hurt by it can understand.
All this is so Spinner ends up being the most normal and typical sympathetic of the League of Villains, which sets him up to be a sort of ‘gateway Villain’. It’s why he’s narrator. He doesn’t understand at all the crazy All For One shenanigans, he’s thinks Shigaraki is an incompetent weirdo, and he asks what we were all thinking: “Shigaraki Tomura, what the fuck are you doing.” Quite obviously, Spinner’s meant the audience surrogate and so he is. That being a core of the way the story of My Villain Academia is told means it needs be followed by the anime adaption.
This core sets up the rest of the arc - sets up how we will come to view Shigaraki Tomura and his backstory, alongside the rest of the League Villains, their relationships and dynamics with each other, and who they are at heart. Shigaraki’s telling of his distorted origins in Chapter 222 is horrifying as it is already; but it’s Spinner’s worried-facial-expressions reactions littered throughout the chapter that adds to it by telling us one major thing: Spinner’s an empathetic guy, because he immediately feels a kindred spirit with Shigaraki when the latter talks about the hollowness he feels. So begins the audience surrogate’s change of opinion and us readers going along with it, and also: that Shigaraki Tomura now has Spinner’s concern and attention - and is deserving of it.
Pardon the sudden heavily edited quote, but CS Lewis says,
Friendship arises...when two or more of the companions discover that they have in common...which, till that moment, each believed to be his own unique [burden]. The typical expression of opening Friendship would be something like, "What? You too? I thought I was the only one." ...And instantly they stand together in an immense solitude.
That’s almost word for word Spinner in that moment, suddenly realizing he’s no longer as alone as he thought. He’s no longer as alone, and this means perhaps neither should Shigaraki. Because established in that very chapter, too, is the hate in Shigaraki’s heart fueled by his grief and despair, the loss of his family, past, and faith in others, his misery of thinking he’ll never feel good again. Yet - there’s Spinner, willing to extend some empathy and care, the very antidote to all that Shigaraki had revealed. Because the desire for companionship (or at least the lessening of the pain of loneliness) is universal, even among villains - maybe especially among these villains - we probably love to see it. Want to see it.
On that basis - friendship borne out of empathy - Spinner puts his faith his leader, puts his trust and support, and the rest of the arc is us following the tension of whether he was right to do so. Whether Shigaraki would live up to what Spinner expects of him, whether Spinner will side with Shigaraki despite their earlier conflict. Whether they could become friends, or something like that. And once they do, the consequences of this as things spiral more and more out of control, beyond this arc - that Spinner would know Shigaraki well enough to do something crucial at the turn of a battle later, that Spinner would stick by Shigaraki’s side when he’s in danger, that Spinner is loyal enough to Shigaraki to help him as a friend should.
Through Spinner, we come to see Shigaraki, originally incomprehensible and terrifying, as someone beyond a Villain or a leader, but rather someone valued as a person, a friend, a fellow silly gamer nerd. He’s still scary, of course - just less so, with a seed of doubt of his doom that Spinner - and only Spinner, by virtue of his specific narrative and emotional role in this arc - planted in their characters and the story.
It’s because of Spinner that MVA works, by itself, and as a stepping stone towards the rest of the series. So he really needs to be everything he is, was, and more in the anime adaption please BONES oh my god please

I recently watched the 25th Anniversary Concert version and film version of Les Miserables and have been listening to the Complete 3-disk Philharmonic Recording that I bought at a thrift store for $1.
Les Mis shocked me when I first watched it that the story doesn't fit a classic tragedy. The "breeding pair" (as my college Shakespeare/Renaissance Literature prof called them) survive and are paired together to be fruitful and multiply.
While I was listening to the soundtrack on my way home yesterday and again today (as one does), it hit me that there's a secondary reason it's not a tragedy. All of the main characters achieve their goals. Please keep in mind that I'm going based on the musical, as I have not read the novel or watched any of the other.
Jean Valjean
Valjean has two goals in the narrative.
1. He wants to be free.
2. He wants to make up for his transgressions by fulfilling his promise to Fantine of taking care of Cosette and ensuring that she "will want for nothing."
By the end of the musical, Valjean dies a free man no longer on the run from Javert. His adopted daughter, Cosette, is happily married to Maria's, a rich, moral, young man who adores her and will make sure she is taken care, and she and her husband love and respect him, even after hearing his backstory.
Cosette
Cosette takes after her father and also has two goals.
1. She wants to know the truth about her father's and her own pasts.
2. She wants to no longer be lonely.
By the end of the musical, her father shares with her their backstories, and she is no longer lonely after marrying Marius who adores her and wants to spend the rest of their days together.
Fantine
Fantine wants:
1. Cosette, her daughter, to be taken care of
Even her own death is foreshadowed, she begs God to kill her if that means that Cosette, who she was told is ill, survives. The deal is taken. She dies, but her death is what makes Valjean feel guilty, forcing him to find and adopt Cosette. She also sings that she will see Cosette when she wakes, and at the end of the musical, as Valjean dies, Fantine returns from the dead, seeing her daughter again as she leads Valjean to Heaven.
Javert
Despite how often he talks about capturing Valjean, in his big song Stars, he doesn't mention Valjean once. Javert's goal is:
1. To be like the stars and fulfill his purpose in the universe.
While it's on a meta-level, he does so. Javert is consistently the reason the narrative moves forward and when he no longer is able to fulfill his purpose, he "falls" as he describes the stars doing when they are no longer able to fulfill their purpose.
Marius
Marius is interesting when he sings because he never truly states a want other than being with Cosette. He makes requests of other characters and describes how he feels in the moment, but he doesn't truly show unhappiness with his situation. If I had to say what his goal is, then I'd say he wants to belong, to be a part of something. He first has this belonging from being one of the barricade boys, but by the end, he has found the sense of belonging he wants from being with Cosette.
Eponine
Eponine wants:
1. Marius to love her, to be beside her, to show her that he cares for her.
In A Little Fall of Rain, Eponine gets the one thing she's always wanted. Marius is not thinking about the Revolution, or pining for Cosette, or calling her a tease. Marius holds her and tells her he cares about her as she dies in his arms. Then he goes into battle the next day with her name on his lips.
Gavroche
Gavroche is a literal child and also the smartest, most competent character in the musical. I won't hear arguments on this fact.
He wants:
1. To be a part of the revolution and show his worth to the barricade boys.
He does, repeatedly. He's the one who tells them that General LeMarque is dead, that they can't trust the Thenardiers, and that Javert is a spy.
As he tells Javert after outing him as a spy and police inspector:
"And little people know
When little people fight
We may look easy pickings
But we've got some bite"
Gavroche is not just some little kid or Dickensian orphan waif that lets the world push him around. He bares his teeth and fights back until he dies in battle.
The Thenardiers
The Thenardiers want:
1. Cash
2. No repercussions for their actions
They get what they want. They get paid by Fantine for 'caring' for Cosette; they get paid by Valjean so that he can take Cosette away; and they get paid by Marius to go away when they show up at his and Cosette's wedding. They are never punished by the narrative in a way that matters to them. They are never arrested, and they never lose their meager wealth. They are bolder and more well off every time the audience sees them.
In their own words:
"Clear away the barricades, and we're still there! / We know where the wind is blowing / Money is the stuff we smell"
This line is especially hard to stomach because Eponine, their own daughter, was killed at the barricade (and Gavroche, a child, who is their son in the novel).
In the game of life, despite being horrible people, the Thenardiers, the "beggars at the feast," win again and again.
The Barracade Boys
As a collective, they want:
1. Their "little lives" to mean something. They want to take a stand and have an impact on the world.
They do. The revolution lead by the Barracade Boys changes the futures of every other character in the play, and, on a meta-level, we know that modern day, democratic France was created by the actions of revolutionaries like them. Yes, they die, but they all repeat several times that they do not mind dying in battle.
