I started a new Animal Crossing island and I'm currently under the delusion that I'm actually going to pick a theme and design my island but we all know that my "theme" is going to be Gay and Unfinished.

(This is for the DSMP Scavenger Hunt hosted by @bleue-flora)
I was looking at Sam's VOD of 10 April 2023 [x]. And I'm almost 100% sure that the map on c!Dream's prison cell walls which wasn't found yet, is actually a map of c!Sam's new terraformed land/island. This island wasn't finished yet by the time of the world download (31 July 2022).
Tumblr media
More evidence below the cut:
Map and stream comparison:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you go to this Sam VOD of 5 September 2022, you can see the island in a much more finished state than on 31 July 2022 (left image: VOD, right image: world download).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
More angles from the VOD:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, I made a map of the terraformed island on the world download, and the block colors matched as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in conclusion, we can't find this map on the world download because the land didn't exist yet!

your roommate posts are so fun i was wondering what your take on like first few humans on the Citadel(say the year they got an embassy) and the impressions they left as roommatesXD
I'm glad you find them fun!
It's hard to say, the first humans on the Citadel must have been diplomats and political figures important enough to warrant having bodyguards. Getting their own housing and such.
I'd imagine no roommate situation allowed for humans yet, especially if a turian was already residing there. The first contact war made the human's notoriety spread far and wide, infamous for our "bloodthirst" and "aggressive cunning nature"
Skip a couple of years as the humans integrated into C-sec forces and we still held the bully reputation.
Sure, the other alien's views on use softened, but no one was going out of their way to befriend a human yet.
Especially, turians.
We picked on the golden goose of species, on the favourite child of the Citadel. When turians make up for more than 70% of all policeforce, it's easy to see why humans get misinterpreted as troublemakers by virtue.
Even the ones who admired humans did so in reverence to the alliance great feat of holding the line against the turian forces for three whole months. We were brand new, a newborn galactic species that just discovered mass relays, and the turians had all the advantages imaginable, yet it was them who suffered the greater mortality losses.
So both the good and bad rumours painted us in a very unkind yet strong picture.
Who would want someone like that to bunk near them? "What if the human sees me as weak? what if they pick on me? what if—" all very common doubts.
The Normandy by itself was deliberately a joint effort by the human alliance and turian hierarchy to mend relationships between the two species.
And yet, not a single turian was found aboard. At least not until Shepard recruited one. (Nihlus was a spectre, not a recruit. He was here for his own business)
Not out of malice for turians, but the first contact war memories were still fresh in Captian's Anderson mind, no doubt. All the friends he lost, all the horror he witnessed.
It would've taken years for aliens to start comfortably co-living with humans. If you couldn't afford to get your own place on the Citadel, your next step would be looking into human roommates because no other species would let you in.
But on other planets? Spaceships? It would've been a faster intergeneration.
A salarian who came to Earth to further his research only to realise how expensive everything is, deciding to look into shared housing, there were no other options besides a human. After a couple of weeks, he comes to the conclusion that you're not the vicious killer that your species's reputation makes you out to be...in fact, you're quite fun to be around.
A turian crew who were hired as security by a shipping company would eventually get used to the many humans on board, especially when the humans start inviting them to drinking games, poker night and to watch movies. They start appreciation the unique spirit humans have, one which they infected them with. becoming patients zeros to the "turian human are natural best friends" epidemic.
An asari scientist who was hired to terraform a new planet for human living, alongside the other human scientists. Working together and living in such close proximity in aluminium camps. She's wary of humans at first, doing her job then retreating to her own room. But the lack of communication really halts the progress of the mission, so she gives the humans a chance and starts attending their meetings, late night lab sessions...and it's way more casual than she expected. The atmosphere is light. It's just a bunch of scientists joking around whilst still getting work done.
-
Humans weren't the only ones with a bad reputation; qaurians and krogans shared our blight. When a human, a krogan and a qaurian walk into a bar, getting wasted drunk and complaining loudly about how they can't find a single shared housing plan because their snobby roommates keep rejecting them—only to spot each other across the bar and a figurative lightbulb lights up above their heads.
Renting an apartment together!
Yeah, the first to trust humans enough to become roommates with them weren't the "ever so righteous and benevolent" asari, or the "community service principled" turians, it wasn't even the "logic and rationality above else" salarians.
It was a quarian on her pilgrim, who spent all her money getting to the Citadel only to be faced with discrimination and blame for the geth situation.
It was a heartbroken krogan whose asari gf of 50 years just left him because her friends pressured her to. Only to end up realising how bad of an idea it was to keep the lease under her name.
Finding an offer online by a human who's looking for roommates, you already have an apartment—but the asari landlord raised the rent yet again, and working two jobs isn't cutting it—so you made a couple of posts online in roommate sites, yet all the offers you were given immediately pulled back once they realised you're a human.
Your post was like a beacon in the dark for them, they haven't even met a human before, but what's life without risk?

HOUSE SPECULATION TIME!
Living on the 6th has to suck dude, you can't go out for a fucking walk due to the fact that the surface is either going to be 430°C in the day, and -180°C at night.
It makes sense why they live on a space station parked on the pole... It's not a life I'd want to live though, stuck on what has to be a cramped space station you matter how spacious you manage.
SCIENCE TIME!
One saving grace of the planet is that it has a surprisingly effective magnetosphere, deflecting an enormous amount of solar wind despite its proximity to the star. Meaning once you're on the surface, if you're able to survive the temperature, you are safe from radiation... Mostly.
Due to the nature of a magnetosphere, the poles receive more radiation than the rest of the surface, leading me to believe that the sixth house has to have some pretty impressive radiation shielding.
Something fascinating about Mercury compared to the other inner planets is its composition. Unlike other terrestrial planets, Mercury is 70% metallic versus 30% silicate.
This means if you're able to handle the extreme changes in temperature, there is a litany of metals to be harvested. Relatively easily accessible, since the magnetosphere will protect your electronics from being scrambled.
I don't know if Muir has gone into as much thought as I have, but shielding electronics has to be the biggest consideration in the world of TLT when it comes to non-magical shit.
As far as we can tell none of the planets have been terraformed, and space radiation absolutely fucks electronics hard. I wonder if the Sixth is not only a repository for all of their information, but also a testing ground of sorts. Curious.
Still sounds like the sixth house would absolutely fucking suck to live on. Last fun fact, Dominicus is seven times brighter there, once the sun comes up, you're fucking awake bucko.

Homestuck Kids and Which TMA Entity They're Associated With: A Second List By Static, with ADDITIONAL NOTATION That None Of This Is An Insult to Anyone
Read the first of these, featuring the OG troll gang: here
John: Desolation, and hear me out. Much like the argument I made for Sollux, everything gets ripped away from John over and over again. He loses his world, then his house, then his LIFE, then his DAD, then his FRIENDS, then his LIFE (again). John is continually losing everything he cares about, and it forms a weirdly core part of his character, especially considering the fact that he keeps repressing that loss and presenting a chipper face over it.
Rose: Eye. Rose is all about finding secrets (how she fell in with Doc Scratch) and breaking the game in the most interesting way possible. She stumbles across the game because she's looking for information about how to bring Jaspers back. She's constantly looking to shed light on secrets and discover answers, which is definitely eye-aligned. She's even willing to make a pact with the Horrorterrors to find out information about the Green Sun and the end of the game, which makes her an avatar in my book.
Dave: This might just be the overarching entity for all Time players, actually, but Dave-- much like Aradia-- is End aligned due to his reoccurring fascination with dead things. The man outright admits it several times-- he's just as fascinated by death as she is, with perhaps even a more morbid tilt than traditional archaeology. He's also a time traveler, which makes him continually privy to information about how the others will die unless he does something (with Davesprite as a noteable example). If he took on a more passive role (Knights are an active class) I think this might present itself a little more heavily, much like Aradia's connection is more prominent. Basically maybe aradia and dave should just hang outsometime they might be friends ahave we considered this yet hang on wait where are you going---
Jade: Vast, but heavily influenced by the Lonely. We can't talk about Jade without discussing the heavy influences that her isolation has had over her life, but her powers align so heavily with the Vast that that isolation takes on an entirely different context. She's separated from everyone but Bec by vast expanses of ocean. She has the ability to make things Vast or not-Vast by virtue of being a Space player. She is, once again, separated from everyone during the Yard by vast expanses of paradox space. She is continually alone, but in that alone-ness she's physically isolated, which overall pushes her from Lonely to a proper Vast categorization.
Jane: Extinction. In the alpha timeline, Jane is the herald of the end, but she's more than that. She's the heiress to CrockerCorp, the establishment that will eventually fucking TERRAFORM the entire earth-- which, if that doesn't classify as an extinction-level event, I don't know what does. Jane's also our introductory character for a dead session, wherein all of the consorts are literally extinct. Really the CrockerCorp stuff is more important, though-- Jane oftentimes remains loyal to the company, even going as far as to restart it on Earth C, despite what CrockerCorp has previously been responsible. She's constantly a herald of change, and death.
Roxy: Dark. It's low-hanging fruit, sure, but she's heavily textually involved with the obscuring of information. I DISTINCTLY REMEMBER, although I cannot find the text sources for it, that when she's drunk, Calliope can't see her, which is VERY Dark-aligned. Roxy's methods are also obscured, since she's a void player, and she's a Derse dreamer, which means her mental state is . . . also pretty dark, if just metaphorically. Due to her position in the retcon, as well, Roxy's past is obscured, lost to another universe entirely.
Dirk: This motherfucker is hard to sort, but in a pinch I think I'd say Stranger over Web. He does have definite ties to the Web-- if it were a thing in TMA, I'd say he serves both simultaneously, but that's a purely fanon construct so we're gonna play it safe. Dirk is constantly hiding his true self behind layers of masks, mirrors, and splinters. Nobody can every talk to the real Dirk Strider-- instead, they end up talking to Hal or DreamGhostDirk or some other similar entity. The puppet stuff draws into this, as well-- the original Lil Cal is Dirk's, before LE takes over the body, and Lil Cal is a horrorshow of Stranger imagery. (He's also just a horrorshow) Dirk is obsessed with building almost-human constructions (see Squarewave and Sawtooth), as well as hiding behind these constructs to conceal himself or his motives. Overall, Stranger, with heavy ties to the Web.
Jake: Lonely. Even when he's around people, Jake has trouble connecting. Whereas Jade is separated physically, Jake is also separated socially. He can't seem to make the relationship with Dirk ever work out (even if a chunk of that is Dirk's fault). He can't talk to Jane about anything, ever, especially that he's not interested in her.

Now that we have three of Ahsa's memories delivered to us through Sloane, it's time to put them together and think about what we're being told!
I don't know!
Here's the three we have now:
An oasis in the desert. Seeds of hope... buried beneath the sands... Nomads... wanderers... travelers. Their journey comes to an end... The first to be claimed by the Deep... the first to fall victims to the Witness...
A city of Light... a... a flourishing garden... A silent god... withholds a deeper truth. Questions unanswered, uh... longing... unfulfilled. The sky... darkens... as a new journey begins.
Shrouded in... Darkness. A promise of something more... Two halves of a whole... long divided. A... schism between them. Reunited. [exhales in joy] A glimpse beyond... to the beginning...
Long post under:
I wasn't sure if these are connected for the first two weeks, but now I think they should be. Ahsa is telling us something important, but we can't make out the details just yet. What we do know is that this is about the fabled "first victims of the Witness" who originally had the Veil. The first message pretty much explicitly identifies them as such, including telling us that they lived in some sort of a desert as nomads and wanderers.
But at some point they were "claimed" by the Deep and became the Witness' first victims. How? No clue. It's strange because the second message, if it's talking about the same species, now shows them as living in a city, obviously with the Traveler ("silent god" being the same description used by Zavala in Haunted). Did this city coexist with the previous description of them as nomads? Did they get claimed by the Deep and then the Traveler came? Or are visions possibly not exactly in a direct timeline? So perhaps they were both nomads living in oases, as well as having a city and being blessed by the Traveler (not unusual; something similar happened to Lubrae). I think it's most likely that the first message was just a general overview of the situation and then the rest is going into details, so "oasis in the desert" is the same as "a city of light, a flourishing garden."
From there, obviously the Traveler uplifted them and brought them knowledge, but apparently not enough. They wanted more and we know that the Traveler doesn't do that; it gardens, terraforms, helps, and leaves. It will never reveal some grand plan to a species or force them to follow a path or go in a specific direction. It just opens possibilities; the choice is ours. But we also know that it's not unusual for a species to self-destruct or be unable to follow up on what the Traveler brought (again, Lubrae is a good example). Either way, it appears that this longing for more is what actually made the Deep claim them, possibly noted here as "the sky darkens as a new journey begins."
And the last one seems to be talking about them searching for something in the Deep. They are "shrouded in Darkness" where they find a "promise of something more." The next few sentences are very peculiar. What are "two halves of a whole" that have been "long divided" but now "reunited"? And there's also "a glimpse beyond to the beginning." Very strange; what is this referring to? If we're still talking about the first victims, are they more important than just being a random species that encountered the Veil? That's actually a good point as well; they must be somehow important if they're the ones who first had the Veil. Did they find it? Make it? Manifest it? Before the Traveler or after, when they were claimed by the Deep?
A "glimpse to the beginning" obviously makes me think about the original garden from Unveiling. At least to Unveiling in general as a thing, since the original garden is not really a physical space. But then again, we're dealing with some wild stuff currently in general, including a weird portal that doesn't allow people to pass through physically so.
Similarly, this talk of "two halves of a whole" reminded me of one of Osiris' prophecies, curiously called "Garden Progeny:"
Two siblings cleaved by time and space, reflections never found alone, The ending of the eldritch race—a path long seen but never known.
The Veil also has a really curious look that looks like it combines Light and Darkness; is that the two pieces made whole by combining them to make the Veil? This is best seen in Avalon where the tendrils are clearly modelled in the same way as the Tree of Silver Wings as it was when it was fully of Light:
Tumblr media
I'm losing my mind! What does this mean!!!!
Also, thinking about this and the Witness made me think about all those truths/lies Savathun was telling us about the Witness so I wanted to revisit them. She gave us four different versions and at least one of those has to be correct so I went back to check and I am rapidly spinning this in my brain:
The Witness is the child of Darkness. Those who say there is no final shape, that Darkness exists in perfect, formless neutrality? Liars. Takes one to know one. The Darkness will eat everything, and its shape will be the Witness's teeth.
What is the Witness? This is the truth. The Witness birthed the Darkness. Darkness is the errant child of a tight-fisted creator. A force designed for wicked purposes... but with a will of its own. You have begun a tug of war to claim the Darkness for yourself. I hope you win.
The Witness was once mortal. Its people were blessed by the shadow of Darkness, just as your kind were blessed by Light. In that Darkness, these beings found power and knowledge. But they were not content. Power and knowledge turned to greed and despair. The Witness was forever changed.
The Witness was once mortal. Its people were blessed by the Light, just as your kind were. In the Light, these beings found power and knowledge. But they were not content. Power and knowledge turned to greed and despair. The Witness was forever changed.
Hm. Those 3 and 4 look wildly similar to Ahsa's memories. What if the first victims are the Witness' people? They had both Light and Dark, somehow connected to the Veil, and something happened that made them look for more and that's how the Witness was... created. Manifested? Appeared? It definitely makes more sense than 1 and 2: we now know for a fact that Darkness does, in fact, exist in neutrality as many species used it perfectly fine and ended up being enemies of the Witness. And we know that the Witness didn't create the Darkness; I still firmly believe (for now at least) that the Winnower is not the Witness so the Darkness must've existed before the Witness. There's also a possibility that all of these 4 are somehow true; the Witness may not have created THE Darkness, but it definitely created a certain philosophy around it.
Given that we're supposed to learn more about the Witness this season, it kinda makes sense that Ahsa is telling us its origins. Where it came from and how it turned into what it is now. I don't know what else would Ahsa be trying to tell us that would be so important to risk this much for it. She seems desperate to let us know and on top of that, the whole setup for us having to go to Titan was around "the enemy of the Witness" who has crucial information to share with us.
If this isn't about the Witness, then whoever these "first victims" were must be super important and they would be brand new aliens that we would have to learn about which seems odd. But it's still possible! The Traveler had to have visited someone first. And from that first visit, they also became the first victims. If this is talking about the first species that eventually somehow turned into the Witness, the Witness' obsession with the Traveler and its words to the Traveler would make sense. The Traveler gave them an insight into mysteries of the universe and then left. It opened them up to understand but then left without sharing more. Talk about an existential crisis.
We're 3 weeks in and there's 3 left so I think we should at this point be able to make some connections and start putting things together. Ahsa's message being about the Witness would make the most sense. But I'm also interested if anyone has any other ideas for possible interpretations.

IDW beast wars or the planet/colony of Eukaris wasn't as focused on as I was expecting.
Still, it gives me a lot of changes to go crazy over a whole new lore and AU.
Let's get it in this way, what could be seen of Eukaris is that they're divided in what they call tribes or clans, most of the mechs and femmes belong to one of the four main tribes depending in their alt mode as in the scale walker tribe (the reptile like ones), the wave walker tribe (the ones that have water oriented alt modes), the cloud walker tribe (the ones that can fly) and the fur walker tribe (the ones with, well, fur, maybe mammals as majority).
And then we've Airazor and Tigatron, a couple of outcast that choose one another in sacred conjunx ritual over their different tribes, which means leaving your tribe or choosing a conjunx of another clan is frowned upon since we can clearly see how Dinobot shut up Tigatron in a harsh manner even when the last one tried to be calm, it can be noticed how Tigatron takes it with such boredom, which shows it's not the first time it happens, and how Airazor reacts (totally and rightfully mad), it's obvious this is an everyday matter and everyone just goes along with it.
It is supposed that like in any other titan colony Eukaris has it's own hot spot, a couple, group or a single mech could go there and have a sparkling, a new spark that is going to take form and live on the custom of their tribe.
What could be the odds to have a sparkling that doesn't belong to their mentors frame or clan?
How would other mechs and femmes act upon this, as in, what would happen if a fur walker has a scale walker? Would the tribe expulse the pair or they would handle the sparkling to the respective tribe even when the mentor is trying to stop it?
That's something that bugs me, in bad manner for sure, especially when I think of Terraformer AU! Cheetor.
Being torn between being happy and terrified by such a joyful occasion, looking at his future cub's spark rest in your hands that starts to bleed, he doesn't care that even the circuits in his servos are exposed when he embraces you to his chest plate, burn skin and charred fur smell reaching his sensible nose and making it ache, still there is happiness that drips along around you, while he nuzzles his face over your head, purring contently when the first bits of protoform start to form around the new spark, his whole clan singing and congratulating you both when the spark gives off it's first pulse in the new body.
He is so happy, so content, he let's you rest with leaves and medicine around your hands, exhausted by the miracle of helping bring new life, mindful of how long it'll take for you to heal back, he'll take things over his own new repaired servos, brushing off any other tribe members that try to help him, taking care of the sparkling that starts to move little servos around, still not showing any discernable face or distinctive feature, but it was okay, his sparkling was supposed to take more time since you, his conjunx endurae, were human.
His happiness is what makes him overlook the first sound his sparkling does with a new formed intake, a hissing sound that takes Cheetor for surprise along with the little fangs, he is in beast form with his sparkling previously recharging over his big and soft paws, promptly cooing over his sparkling and proceed with a very affectionate grooming with his glossa, singing praises of how his sparkling is going to be such a brave warrior and hunter when the first sound out of the voice box is a hiss, such a fearless young cub that is already showing powerful fangs!
He notices, along the next days, how his sparkling likes to be warm than most other sparklings in the tribe, other bots tell him that's normal, but he only takes it as in a big favor to be close to him, close to you, and he can't really take his optics off the image of his little cub in a woven carrier made of vegetable fiber that strings the sparkling to your chest or the way you gently rock your body to get the feisty little fellow to sleep while he bites the woven plants before Cheetor stops the attack, he likes so much to see you carrying the baby, as you called the sparkling.
"Still not choosing a name?" you called out to him, looking how many datapads were scattered around him.
"I want the designation to be as accurate as possible" Cheetor beamed to you, taking advantage of his place seated on the floor to be in perfect place to kiss your neck, sparkling recharging over your little chest, "I'm going to the final round with Earthquake, Lionaxe or Flame claws"
"You aren't sure if bitty here is going to be a feline or whatever else" you laugh wholeheartedly, and in any other occasion Cheetor would've basked in the sound, but you are worried by the face he pulls, "hey, it ain't going to be that bad" you take his helm in your hands, kissing him softly, "dog, elephant, unicorn, whatever comes, we'll be proud" you tell him and he hears you with all his attention, he doesn't even want to think of any other possibility, his sparkling is a fur walker, Cheetor is sure, his feisty little cub.
That's what he says to himself, repeating like a mantra when he wakes up to the feeling of something moving strangely along his midsection just to find a big and long tail moving around the berth, in any other occasion he could be proud, just like when the bitty showed clawed servos that Cheetor proudly compared to his.
He couldn't compare his tail to the one his sparkling had, sleeping soundly while pressed to you in search of your warm body and keeping your beating heart near, in that moment, Cheetor could feel the dreariness of the situation, wake you up with an expression that showed his fear and how a plan was forming on his mind, you could only try to hear his explanation to what was happening, or to be more honest, what was going to happen when others got to see the sparkling.
Everyone noticed, as it seem, the different smell couldn't be covered by his own or yours, the sparkling own EM field reaching out.
"NO!" He cried out loud your name, hearing your own pleads, you calling out to him when a mech of the Scale walker tribe tried to take you away with your sparkling being protected by your soft, vulnerable body, telling you to come along for the benefit of your child, almost dragging you away, "No, please no, Optimus, do something, please!" Eukaris can sometimes be a harsh place, still reigned by old traditions that come from Onyx Prime's time, never once Cheetor questioned it, but now he can only try to move and reach out to you two, his own tribe holding him down and telling him this was for the best, how his cub would be better off within it's own kind and that you, as the carrier, should stay with your sparkling given the little mech's uniqueness.
He couldn't do anything, looking at Optimus, the leader of his clan, with pleading optics, but his great and strong leader could only do so much, his own human cub at his side, looking torn in what was happening and closing his dark eyes when the beastformer started to cry out loud for mercy, crying for his conjunx and his sparkling.
Such a thing have never happened before, sometimes the sparkling did have a different alt mode than the mentors, sure, but that was easily detected from the get go or the very first days, taking the sparkling to the correct tribe if needed.
Cheetor and you had yours for almost a complete solar rotation cycle when you were separated, that didn't change most of it, he was going to be there for his cub, not caring if he had to leave his own tribe behind and take you away from the other, lone groups were a thing, way more exposed to the dangerous environment and the idea of having a sparkling in those circumstances was suicidal, but he was going to get back his family or die trying.
Cheetor was at the edge of entering Megatron's domain when Primal stopped him and gave him another solution that he couldn't believe at first, but he was grateful, so, so grateful when you were returned to him and he could embrace you and his cub again after Primal made the announcement of his decision, leaving the Fur walker tribe and making his very own, one that could be joined by any eukarian that wanted to do so, some fur walkers joined him, most remained, and it was only a matter of time for all the outcasts to join too with a beastformer with the title of Primal.
It was going to be difficult, that was for sure, even finding a new territory was hard, but everything was paying off at the end of the day when he created a new home for you all, way more bigger than before taking in mind how big his sparkling already was, the scale walkers said something about a fast growing process and bigger appetite, but you two would get across the challenge.
"CHEETOR" your voice could be heard from a great distance, making him drop his hunt in the door of the hut and run to you.
"What?! Are you okay?! Something wrong?!"
"The baby changed, a baby snake, lizard, erm, I don't know!"
And maybe old traditions weren't so wrong when you hurriedly call for help when Viperus took a bite on Cheetor's tail and refused to let go, minutes later showing that your baby had poison when your conjunx was as stiff as a fallen log and foam was coming out his intake, still, the scale walkers that joined your outcast tribe helped just in time with their knowledge in poisonous chemicals.
It wouldn't be the last time Viperus poisoned Cheetor, but it was the first time that was unintentional.

My DreamSMP Head Canons:
c!Philza
- his clothing style is japanese and he has matching clothes for himself and Mumza
- he had short hair when he was really young and grew it out over centuries while exploring
- He cut his hair after he killed c!Wilbur
- he used to be an explorer/ adventurer and became a builder when he settled down in his hardcore world
- he had three lives, but lost two of them during his adventures
- he is a human, (not an avian hybrid like most like to hc) so he wasn't born with wings, they were a gift from Lady Death
- his wife is Lady Death aka "HER"/ aka the Death Goddess Mumza
- she noticed him during one of his adventures and grew fond of him, and always watched over him. The first time they met was when c!Phil lost his first life, they fell for each other and she let him go by reviving him. The next time they met was after c!Phil's 2nd death. c!Mumza wanted to make sure her lover would have a long life before joining her in the void, so she gave him wings so he could flee from danger. Instead he ended up working for her
- c!Phil reaped the souls of the dying and brought them to Lady Death who then guides the souls to rest in the void
- c!Phil is immortal, meaning he wont die of old age, but can be killed, by now he is several centuries old, but ages very slowly
- on one of his later adventures he met c!Techno was a young adult by then and became his friend & teacher
- after several years of travelling the lands together, c!EmeraldDuo ended up on SMP Earth where they started the Antartic Empire, there c!Phil earned the nick name "Angel of Death"
- he took pride in his wings and was a skilled flyer
- he made a name for himself and is even known amongst the gods, befriending some of them
- he is a good swordman
- c!Wilbur was brought to c!Phil by Lady Death when he was a newborn, it turned out c!Wilbur even though he is a half god, he isnt immortal
- he joined the DSMP to look for c!Wilbur
- c!Phil lost the primary feathers of his left wing in the first L'Manburg explosion while shielding c!Wilbur and has been unable to fly since then
- c!Phil killed c!Wilbur not knowing he was on his last canon life, being informed about it later by Lady Death (who wasnt able to take her son's soul because he went to limbo)
- since he lost his ability to fly c!Phil is trapped on the Dream SMP and can't visit Lady Death anymore. So Lady Death sprouted the enchanted forest around the Arctic Commune to protect him and his friends. c!Phil takes care of the forest for her
- Lady Death sometimes uses her human form to visit c!Phil in the forest, but she can never stay for long
- c!Techno is the only person next to Lady Death who is allowed to touch c!Phil's wings, who helps him groom them (c!Wilbur learned to do it, but was always away travelling and c!Fundy was never taught to take care of wings)

D'ya know what lore I should read that pertains to the Light? As in how it works and stuff like that
Oh boy.
The difficult thing about the Light in lore is that it's very elusive, and there aren't many places that deal with *just* describing how it works and/or what it is. Funnily enough I've found myself discovering the most interesting insights concerning it in some bounty or quest step descriptions scattered all over Ishtar, that I sometimes stumble upon completely at random and go oh! But there is definitely no Light 101, and many things about it are inferred rather than stated plainly.
There are some main qualities of the Light I could name off the top of my head and try to find some sources about it, though, so maybe I'll just list them and link interesting lore passages that deal with it? Idk.
The Light affecting time - Tevis' rambles in Aspect; Paradox Daily
The Light as used by non-Guardians (here Splicers), it's malleability, ability to use it to break into the Vex network, and other things I don't understand - Legacy: Splicer Gauntlet; Zeroneiro Shell; Null Composure; Illuminus Grasps (Majestic); probably more Season of the Splicer lore
The Light used for data transferring(?) - Ana: Frayed
The Light purging corruption (particularly from Hive and Darkness-affiliated weapons) - Lumina quest: Bearer of Evils Past (and basically the entire quest); A Sword Reforged quest;
The Light is about community, selflessness, hope, and sacrifice - Lumina quest: Strength in Numbers; Fireteam Leader; you know which cutscene this is
The Light is unable to be produced or captured - Adventure: Postmodern Prometheus; Chosen
The Light doesn't let things die - Flowing Vest (CODA); The First Knife; p53; Prophecy (highlighted passage)
The Light leaving an impact (terraformation, extending human lifespan, affecting its environment, leaving traces, etc.) - Lumina; Dreams of Alpha Lupi; LETTER 4; Contact - Io; Ruinous Effigy quest: Pendulum
The Light finds its way - Lumina quest: Bloom; Season of Arrivals finale
The Light doesn't force its will on Guardians / Guardians make their own fate / Blank slate and second chances - PURITY
The Light and giving - Lumina quest: Rose, Revealed and much other stuff I can't think of rn but it's there
Stuff about the Gardener/Traveler - again, Lumina and Dreams of Alpha Lupi; A Guardian Rises (D1 intro cutscene)
The entire Hawkmoon quest (step 1 here) and the mission
Visions, dreams, the Traveler communicating softly, etc. - Hawkmoon quest; Visions of Light; Ghost Fragment: Moon; the Guardian's vision; Clovis' dream; The Ritual
The whole Ulan-Tan category - the guy's got some interesting thoughts not only about the symmetry theory but also things like the Light spanning across all time and space and other stuff
Constellations lorebook
I'm not even gonna attempt to remember all the Cool Bounties Texts because there's so many of them and Ishtar's search function isn't necessarily the greatest. I hope what I linked makes any sense to you; I didn't even touch the aspect of how Ghosts work/navigate/find their Guardians, the Traveler's intents, or how subclasses work (I don't think it's ever explained why the Light channels into three particular elemental powers...), but if you'd like me to go into deeper research on those fronts, feel free to ask.
I hope these rambles make any sense to you! Ty for the ask c:

The Hitting on 16 poem is about Las Nevadas, not c!Wilbur, king. The use of “I am” is a personification of the city, not c!Wilbur talking about himself
Can't it be about both?
For me the poem has too much thoughts and emotions about it to just be about Las Nevadas. And if it was, I am of the belief that his description tells more about Wilbur than about the place Las Nevadas. How you choose to view something will reveal what some of your beliefs and personality are like.
I'm not saying your wrong. We're most likely both right, because this is literary analysis. If there is something I know about literary analysis is that every person can read into a text in a myriad of ways. I can tell you as someone studying translation, that is one of our biggest "problems" (I'd use the Portuguese word "problemática" here but English doesn't really have it. It's not exactly a problem in the negative way I mean. It's a topic of discussion). When you translate you have to analyse what the source text (technical term for the text you're translating) is trying to convey, but the moment you do that the text stops being just the author's — it starts being yours too.
So my analysis of the poem is mine and mine alone. That's how I looked at it, that's my reasoning and feelings that I have written out.
Of course my opinion can change, and we can discuss the matter. I could do a whole analysis from your point of view if I wanted to. Then I'd probably say something like "the painting of the lily represents the place that it was before. A forest that was terraformed and suddenly a desert. What it was is but a memory". But I choose not to because I like mine better.
Welcome to my ted talk: Art is subjective, even when the art is Minecraft roleplay.
Even Dream SMP analysis, of just the story, are subjective. They have your bias into it.
I love Wilbur so my preferred analysis will be about him and probably in his favour (not completely because I do love me some flawed characters). Others will have other options and preferences, even in the Wilburian side of the fandom.
All this to say: I understand what your thought processes is, I see it, but no thank you. You can take "I am the remnant hopes and dreams of all good man that come to die" being about L'Manburg and Wilbur in some way out of my cold dead hands. I cried analysing that verse. I'm not letting it go.

TREKMATCH! # 268 - TNG's "Clues" vs 2019's Dark Phoenix
DARK PHOENIX
Well it's the end of the X Movie Universe as we know it, even if it was sorta difficult to parse all the timeline stuff. There were some high highs and some really low lows, and unfortunately I gotta add my voice to the chorus placing this one in the latter. The X-Men zoom off to space to rescue some astronauts where Jean Grey catches a little case of space phoenix. It makes her super mad all the time and she unleashes her terrifying powers and... destroys the brick wall of a house! And on accident kills one of her friends (you can probably guess who). In the comics the Phoenix Force is a terrifying and unstoppable cosmic entity that destroys entire worlds, but here it's just some rage dust that makes Jean able to push things around a little stronger. Also in the spirit of Trekmatch there's a sequence where the villains imagine terraforming Earth and it completely rips off the Genesis sequence from Wrath of Khan.
GRADE: F-
STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION - "Clues"
After falling asleep for thirty seconds the crew starts to unravel a mystery that maybe they fell asleep for more than thirty seconds. It's a fun episode to watch when you know Picard ordered Data not to tell the whole crew the truth of everything, because Data manages to hide the truth without actually lying (he's super religious and can't lie).
GRADE: C+
Victory to Trek, tying things up at 134!
X-Men movies beat Trek 9-3, though!

Even though I know the epilogue hasn't come out, I still can't help but wonder what happens to the Alpha kids after Caliborn's masterpiece. John is in the Juju with the other Beta kids, so they can't recon back to Earth C. Is Caliborn's planet a long forgotten Earth B or C? Were the Beta kids released when Vriska used the Juju?
Caliborn’s Planet is BOTH Earth B and C. They’re the same planet, Earth C is just terraformed and moved from the B Universe to the C Universe. However, it is Earth C after millions of years, completely dried up, and absorbed into a SBURB Session, so like, it may as well be another planet entirely. LOCAM to be specific.
Whether the Beta Kids were released or not, depends on your reading of the Ending and what you think actually happened in the Rapture. Them being released is a possibility, if you take the Masterpiece as the Timeline we’re following at the End, with everyone ending free again and happy. Otherwise if you consider it another Timeline, the Alpha Kids ending up trapped in a Dead Session and the Betas being absorbed permanently into the Juju, which is then likely absorbed into the Black Hole with everything else, is definitely a possibility. It’s ambiguous on purpose.
At least until the Epilogue comes out, and even then, maybe still.

i didn't realise you were french :o do you think you'd ever attempt what you did with porto coral with somewhere in france? c: like tbh i need a french world but like waaaaay later this year but it'd be awesome if you could (even to consider it) since i can't build to save my life!!! thanks sm in advance ^^
yeah, i’m french - born and raise. 😎
your sent your ask just when i was playing with a parisian replica build i made for my game (rue crémieux). so it’s kind of a funny timing. i’ll do make more french builds in the future, for sure. and i already have some ideas. but we still miss a few building tools to make it real (l-stairs, terraforming, skylights..). french architecture is so diverse and complex i don’t know if what i’ll try to make cc-free will even look decent.
i don’t know if i’ll try to create something based on paris itself or another region of my country (for example, windenburg looks a lot like strasbourg - which is a real gem i was lucky to visit for about a week). i also love the north (i’ve visited lille, amiens, cambrai and so one). it’s rainy and sometimes very cold but people there have a warm heart and their brick houses are amazing. some are modern inside and old outisde. it’s really surprising and cute. i’ve also visited the beach on the west coast, the center and the farm vibe and, of course, the south with all the palm trees, boats and so one.
so i really don’t know what i should do. maybe do several lots based on several regions. but i think i’ll start with north of france. because people tend to do not pay attention to this part of france while they’re really brave people with a profund history. like ned stark once said : the north always remember ;)
i never thought i’ll say this one day but… we do not have enough 64x64 lot ! lmao. what’s your conception of a french build ? it’s so vast ? do you want the “french parisian”, “french mountains”, the “traditional french”, “historic french” “the royalty french” the “tropical french” the “glamour french”… i don’t know. be more specific ! there’s so much to cover and not enough space on our maps.
thanks for your ask, btw.

Whenever I play this game I have to play on the television bc prolonged handheld playing gives me migraines so my dad ALWAYS ends up watching me play the game. It's nice cuz we get to bond and he gets to understand why my brother and I like video games so much, but it was unexpected how quickly he got into the game. When I tell you he has the same energy as Thor and Rhodey....
*whacks villagers with nets looking for fleas since I can't see from where I sit if they have fleas or not* "You forgot one." "No I didn't, I just hit them." "I didn't see it, do it again."
*working on something remodelling/terraforming related* "What's the point of doing that?" *explains point* "I still don't get it." *a minute later* "Are you sure it's supposed to be done like that?"
"Why are you putting that [furniture item] THERE?! It looks AWFUL it's way too crowded! Put that over there, in that corner."
"So how do you beat this game?" "You can't..actually beat this game, there isn't actually--" "That's not how games work, there has to be something or someone to beat! What kind of a game doesn't have something or someone to beat?!"
*anytime I put my rod in water* "SEA BASS! I bet it's a sea bass. You're gonna get a sea bass." (Will also alternatively yell "it's at least a c+!")(will also have a stupidly proud grin when he's right that's both frustrating and hilarious)
*going back and forth making a waterfall pathway with terraforming* "This is so slow. If this were real life, you'd have been fired for constructing so slow. Can you go faster?" (Fun fact, this is the only time he refers to my character and says 'you', all the other times he says she/her)
"Do ANY of these villagers actually do anything?! They should just name the island after you and pay you, you do all the actual work."
*stands up and mimics the character swinging arms back and forth when I leave the control alone for .02 seconds*
He also gets really worked up with me when I find tarantula island. We both ended up yelling at the television at midnight the first time I found it and got k.o'd by a hidden one :'D
Wholesome hcs for what the Iron fam's or even all the Avengers' Animal Crossing islands are like and what their play-styles are?
omg this is such a cute ask thank you
Tony
•  His island is fucking FULL of turnips for the stalk market.
•  Hoards bugs to sell to Flick.
•  Uses lots of bait to catch rare and expensive fish.
•  Refuses to use hacks to make money, but ends up fucking LOADED anyway.
•  His house is totally upgraded, but terribly decorated.
•  After unlocking everything and getting rich, he runs up to Peter and goes, “I beat it.”
Peter: you can’t beat animal crossing, Mr. Stark—
Tony, firmly: I beat it.
Peter
•  He probably focuses on getting his favorite villagers. Not necessarily the popular ones, but ones he had in previous games or ones he thinks are cute!
•  Definitely wants at least one of every personality type!
•  Wishes there were spider villagers. Like, so bad.
•  Lots of fruit trees and flowers on his island, not lots of decorations tho.
•  His house is packed with furniture that he thinks is neat, but not in a coordinated way at ALL; it looks super cluttered.
•  He’s really excited for the update where you can SWIM!!!!!!
•  Soft spot for Celeste; constantly calls her a lesbian icon.
Pepper
•  Probably shares Tony’s island
•  She does all the decorating, flower breeding, etc.
•  She will never admit it, but she wants blue roses SO BAD. Out loud she says she’s not addicted tho
•  Morgan plays as Pepper’s account, and she’s the one who picks all the villagers on the island
•  Pepper is frustrated that Tony takes up half the island with his fish and bugs, and they definitely have passive aggressive conversations about it
Tony: Hey, Pep, can you pass the salt?
Pepper: I dunno can you finally sell all those fucking tarantulas?
Tony:
Pepper:
Tony:
Peter: I am very uncomfortable with the energy that we’ve created in the studio today
Rhodey
•  Does not have animal crossing, but he definitely backseat drives when Tony plays.
Tony: *fishing*
Rhodey: GO GO PRESS A NOW GO GO
Tony, freaking out and losing the fish: JESUS CHRIST RHODEY GET YOUR OWN GAME
Steve
•  Sees Peter playing one time, and gets really curious.
•  He asks to watch Peter play all the time, then just sits there like :-) because he thinks it’s cute
•  Peter lets him play sometimes, but all Steve does is talk to the villagers.
•  He gets super excited when villagers say kind, cute, friendship things.
•  Only shops in the game to get the villagers gifts.
•  Learns villager’s likes and dislikes to get them better gifts.
•  Doesn’t like it when Peter gives them ugly/ironic outfits; says it’s mean.
Bruce
•  Gets, like, all the gorilla characters because he knows people think they’re ugly and he relates to them.
•  Not because he’s ugly but because he is also lorge sometimes.
•  He fishes/catches bugs, but only so he can donate them or keep them as pets.
•  Loves the snapping turtles; clicks on them to make them nom all the time.
Natasha
•  Her island is, like, exclusively snooty villagers.
•  Definitely only female villagers, but I say mostly snooty because she’s the type to be like, “Oh, you’re an asshole. >:) I love it.”
•  She has Audie because she likes how her energy is like... a dumbass but with CONFIDENCE.
•  Definitely tarantula farms; will catch scorpions and tarantulas with no hesitation. Like a badass.
•  Hits ugly villagers/any male villagers who move in with nets.
•  Cherishes Timmy and Tommy tho.
•  Has a soft spot for Blathers.
Clint
•  Look, he probably just plays someone else’s, and only because he likes shooting the balloons out of the sky.
•  Hears the whooshing from across the compound; comes running and goes, “CAN I BE THE ONE TO SHOOT IT DOWN.”
•  If you need to summon him for any reason, just play that sound. Always works.
•  Has a soft spot for the crafting feature/animation. Just thinks it’s neat.
Thor
•  Does not understand the game.
•  Thinks the goal is to attack the villagers/other players with axes and shovels.
•  Please send help.
