Although not necessarily my type of story, I think the premise is interesting and the art is pretty good, especially evocative in the gory cinematic scenes. It's a shame it isn't really my type of read because it really is pretty interesting. I've been thinking about it on and off since I read it yesterday, so it's capable of lingering in my mind even though I read such a small part of it. CONTAINS GORE, BLOOD, VISCERA.

it is cosmically massive in the face of your mortal insignificance, and it has only ever turned its gaze on an individual to destroy them. it doesn't know how to love you. it has never attempted such a thing before.

i guess this is more of a symptom of fandom drought more than anything LMFAO… technically we havent gotten any new information or lore about gabriel since act 2 was released and that was years ago so i guess i shouldnt be surprised

anyways dont forget that gabriel killed the entire council with his own bare hands and cut the head off one of them as proof for the Entire Angel Population to see. and conversely the fact that he was regarded as one of the most popular and well beloved angels due to his radiant personality beforehand, his kindness towards the ferrymen, his genuine blind belief in justice and devotion to god

I make a plaster casting of Kane's whole body, and use it to make a hollow silver skin tight box only mm larger than he is, in his exact shape. It is split in half so I can easily make him lay down in it, then close it and lock him in. It has air holes at the nostrils, but the way the torso is made stops all but the smallest expansion of his chest.

I present it to him gleefully a bit after noon, and tell him that he can either get in himself and stay inside for three hours, or I'll force him in and he stays for a full day. I assume he picks the former, and I close and lock it before going upstairs.

Upstairs I find that a surprise party has started for one of the other hunters. I'm immediately distracted, and only remember Kane five or six hours later. By that time I don't feel like dealing with Kane's whining, and the party is still in full swing. I decide against going and rescuing him. I'll go get him in the morning, and just claim it's only been three hours. It's not like he can prove me wrong. That decided, I party into the early morning. I don't set an alarm before going to sleep.

I wake up a little past 1pm, but I don't get out of bed until a while later. I take my time getting ready, and eat a good lunch. I don't hurry. Why would I?

Kane does not want to go in there. He desperately does not want to go in there, but he doesn't bother trying to plead with you. While begging occasionally grants him small mercies, there's no way he's going to convince you not to burn him in this horrific contraption after you've gone to all the trouble to make it. He sobs as he climbs in, but hopes his obedience will earn him mercy later.

It's one of the worst things he's ever experienced. Every inch of him burns, he can't move a muscle, he can hardly breathe. He can't even open his jaw enough to try and beg for help. He can't muster enough air to scream. Every time he tries to wriggle, it hurts even more. There is no escape.

Time goes on and on. At some point, it becomes very clear that it's been more than three hours. He needs out. He needs out. It hurts too much, he can't stand this. There's not even a break for nighttime like there would be with the sun. Terrifying thoughts of being left here forever cloud his mind.

When you finally come to let him out, Kane's skin is stuck to the inside of the silver mold and you need to scrape him out.
