Idea that could be drawn very pretty if I wasn't feeling lazy right now: his and Moon's tears reflect the sky and what time of day it is, regardless of if they're outside or indoors

Week 3! But WHAT'S THIS?? WHO ARE THESE HANDSOME FELLAS???

Why, they're none other than some of my beloved mutuals versions of Sun! Or at the very least, attempts at them!

Something important that I remembered recently was what advice I got from watching Bob Ross paint (yes I do bob ross paintings in my free time, moving on) which is that when you're following someone else's process, you're not trying to copy them, but rather emulate them and learn the fundamentals while do so.

It's how I'm now able to do paintings in 'bob ross style' without following a tutorial bc i learned the basics first and foremost. And besides being my moots (who I think are so cool and amazing) I chose these 4 designs specifically because of how distinct their styles are and how each ends up with very pretty end results regardless.

So that's how we ended up with the last three drawings of the week, which are me trying to figure out a more lax sketch/doodle style (Day 20), a very detailed style for more 'finished' pieces (Day 21), and lastly somewhere in between (Day 19).

I've seen a lot of growth in myself while going through this challenge, both in my art and in my confidence towards it, and I'm excited to finish out this next week. Who knows, might see a few other familar faces mixed in :)

As for my lovely moots, if you haven't already you should go check them out! They all make very great content. Hope I did y'all justice with these! Stared at your art for hours and simultaneously had a TON of fun drawing your versions of the boy ^-^

I was reading this post abt Rassalon and suddenly a thought came to me...

What if Anharion's smear campaign with the collar only came after Rassalon betrays the Light? Anharion was the light's top dog for fighting Sarcean. Outrage was had, I'm sure, when he defected. It was a regrettable decision, but human nature betrays... he was great but it was just the One guy.

But then Rassalon, a strong and loyal champion of the light, a True Lion, defects to Sarcean too??? Like, there must be some gen public who goes, hmm, is it just a coincidence or was there something more to this Light vs Dark business?? If I had a nickel for ever Light champion defecting to the Dark, I'd have two nickels but its weird it happened twice...

So the Light side either create or twist the Collar rumor into one that serves them... though it was done too late or they noticed too late that the Collar in Sarceans hand is different than what they know (my theory abt the Collar is its somewhat true to its purpose but the Sun King was the one who comissioned it).

IK there's still a lot of things that doesnt really fit, but it was my limited speculation and my two cents. What do you guys think??? Please reply if you have theories abt Rassalon or the Collar!!!

I was going to make a whole big analysis post about it but fuck it.

Does anyone else find it odd that the White Death is supposedly just the Dark King’s method of securing an army, but the Lady also uses it to return Visander? And while the army might belong to the Dark King, he didn’t use that method to restore himself or James, even though it would ensure he kept his memories and would make his return much quicker? I would say he needed to be Reborn to keep his power, except Visander is as formidable a warrior in Katherine’s body as he was in his own, so.

Idk something about the Lady’s familiarity with the concept of Returning, combined with the coincidence that the Sun King built his palace over a prison pit perfect for restoring an army, tells me that the Lady and Sarcean might have worked on the White Death together, possibly on the Sun King’s commission.

Furthermore, we know that everyone is still using the Dark King’s magic (the cup, the brand—hell, James connects to Will’s magic to amplify his own). The Sun King surrounded himself with the magically gifted. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Sun King was using Sarcean as his own magical wellspring, striking him down when he realized that Sarcean had the capabilities to overthrow his power.

I really like the idea of the White Death as a weapon that “belonged” to the Sun King because they created it on his order, bastardized by Sarcean in reaction. What if he wasn’t building an army with the White Death, but repurposing a plan already set in motion?

when i do i usually make the purring a whirring sound, but i think most of the fandom does that lol

As for the CS! Boys... They are for sure making noises of all kinds. It's directly canon that they both growl (Kellen Goff I love you), so I don't see why not!

I can't justify why the robot would need to blush, so the whirring (or purring) of their fans is kind of a stand in for that, along with general happiness.

As for our beloved lunar boy, he is MUCH more prone to growling and even the occasional hiss. Though, I see him more doing hissing noise when being dramatic, and a growl if he's actually upset over something. (Like losing Y/Ns attention. Like what? I'm not your only friend? Other people make you happy in a way I can't replicate??) They're working on it.

Moonpaw is confronted by Jayfeather about if she really wants to be a medcat or not. The conversation segways to him explaining who Ashfur was and what he did. Less aggressively than Alderheart, he restates that it would be VERY bad if that sounded familiar.

I expect Jayfeather to be horrible with kids, though, to be fair. Naturally, this frightens Moonpaw and she lies to stay out of trouble.

Then she goes to the Moonpool to talk to her other half again. It assures her it's real by sharing a "prophecy," and then making that prophecy come true. I wish they weren't trying to make The Voice so sinister, this would be kind of adorable if it was like;

"Heck yeah I'm a StarClan cat!! I can give you a prophecy!!! tomorrow at sunhigh there will be a cool bug in your nest"

"ugh. that doesn't sound anything like a prophecy, it's not even worded like a riddle"

"Um, uh, wait I can give you a different one! Tomorrow the sun will go missing, and you'll find it in a hollow tree!"

DCA Promptober Day 8: Trouble

You know, you may not be the most well-traveled individual, but you'd argue you had your fair share of experience when it came to good places to make out. Bedrooms, cars, rooftops, dark corners of house parties, and so on. 

Admittedly, a supply closet was a first for you.

You think the added factor of being the Daycare's supply closet should also count for something. 

You were also making out with a robot, but that didn't get you points in the location category. Maybe in a whole hell of a lot of others though. Wow. Man, if the rest of the security team finds out about this they're never going to let you live it down. You think your co-occupant of the closet, might have similar beliefs.

"Friend~ you're gonna get us in trouble," Sun warns, though it's more a statement than a warning. You almost think he doesn't care at this point.

Good. Though, you can't let him get by with that statement. 

You break your latest kiss, putting a hand under his chin, smirk on your lips, "Sun, I don't think you're in anyway the one who has the right to say that. Especially not with how loud those fans of yours are."

"Well, they wouldn't be so loud if you weren't so, particular, Starlight," His words are in that usual cheerful tone but there's an edge to them.

"Particular?"

He nods once, "You seem to be so utterly determined to mark up my face with those, truthfully, pretty pretty lips of yours, and I have no choice but to return the favor."

"Sun," You coo.

"Friend."

Your fingers wrap around one of his rays before sharply pulling his face down to yours, "You're the one that dragged me in here in the first place."

And to your credit, you hadn't been expecting him to either. You'd been doing your usual patrol for this time of night, when all of the sudden you'd found yourself among the throughs of craft supplies.

You weren't exactly complaining about the situation you then found yourself in. Haveing been quickly lifted up to eye level, hands gripping your waist to help sit you on the shelf you were currently on. Hands which were still wandering your abdomen, having found access under your shirt and greedily soaking up the contact with your skin. Again, you weren't complaining.

"Did I?" He tilts his head, one hand coming up to cup your cheek, thumb pressing down on your lower lip. Inspecting, scrutinizing. It makes you scoff internally.

"Mhm."

You feel him press down just a tad harder, "I'm afraid I don't recall such a thing. Are you sure you're feeling alright, friend?"

"Friend is a bold expression for someone you've been playing tonsil hockey with for the past ten minutes, Sunny," You pull back, wiping your mouth.

He's not impressed by your idiom, "Do you have to use such crude language?"

"Do you have to be so formal?"

He chuckles, "It's a force of habit, Sweetheart. But if it hurt your feelings I'm so very sorry for that."

"Oh I'm sure you-" There's a noise that starts to crackle to life. Your radio. Shit. 

"Hey, anybody been by the Daycare in a bit?"

You wait, hushing Sun when he starts to speak up. 

"Do something about your fans," You hiss.

His rays spin, "It's not something I have total control over, Sunshine."

Someone else answers, "Yeah, think ------- was supposed to swing by. All clear over there?"

Well now you don't have a choice, unless you want to risk someone walking over here and finding, this. 

You pray no one can hear the background noise surrounding you, "Yeah, all good. The Attendant wanted to show me some drawings. You know how he is," You can feel the irritation radiating off of him at that comment, you continue, "I'll be heading back in a few."

"Ten four."

The walkie stays dead after that. 

You relax with a sigh, "Christ."

"And thus you've proven my point," Sun says, matter of factly. 

You scoff, "Sure."

"If you weren't so insatiable, you might be on your way by now."

You call bullshit on that one. You could make up any excuse on the spot and the other guards would buy it. No one at this place cared that much. Your timing isn't the problem at all.

Rather, it's the issue of a closed supply closet having a very noticeable light on, which multiple times has caused curious eyes to come wandering closer. Leading to almost getting caught more than you'd ever like. 

You say as much.

"If you didn't insist on keeping the light on, we might be a little better off," You nod up to the dingy bulb, twirling the string around your finger for emphasis, "What's the matter, think the dimness isn't enough for you-"

Sun snatches your wrist, leering closer, "Lights. On."

You stare at each other; your eyes having widened just a fraction. His expression of course being essentially immobile save for maybe a twitch in one eye you might've imagined. You could never tell if you were just making it up when it seemed his eyes moved. 

His rays tick to one side. He's waiting. 

"Heard," You relent, and in doing so he releases you. 

There's a sharpness to his tone, you can't quite place it, "Wonderful."

You wait a moment. 

"Is that an all clear to continue or...?"

"You really need to get better about these things," Sun's hand rests on your cheek again with a sigh, "Your attractiveness just barely trumps your ability to kill the mood."

"And yet, here you are," You simper.

A click, he leans in closer, "That wasn't merely a suggestion."

"I know," You tip your head up, "But you're gonna have to do better than that. Tick, tock. Unless you really want to risk getting in trouble."

Knowing him, he can't resist that kind of challenge. 

All the better for you.
