It’s Women’s Day.
In response I chose to present these strong women. I chose Hunith, Kara, Princess Mithian, Morgause, Nimueh and Morgana to celebrate. Each one of these women stuck to their beliefs. They are strong minded people. Nimueh will always have a special place in my heart. The true High Priestess

So sorry if you’ve already answered this before but I suddenly got real curious about it—
Doth you have a voice claim for Marrow?
Thanks for your question!!
Oh well… It's always so hard challenge for us to find the perfect voice for our ocs, and Marrow is certainly no different. We had several options until we remembered one character whose brilliant concept and voice acting took our breath away — Lilith (Caroline Faber) from Diablo IV. Her voice is REALLY close to Marrow's. Deep, slightly hoarse, with cold, quiet, threatening vibes. 10/10
Marrow is generally a pretty quiet girl who rarely speaks much or loudly to attract attention to herself — the gloomy tension around her always does a great job with this, and that voice?? Just adds some intimidation points. Plus, it helps her hide her blushes (but not always lol) (in the game we use voice #8 for her, but after all the changes and character "evolution", she needed something more original)

Hellooooo, I wanted to ask: Is there any Barbera related trivia you would like to share but will never get a chance to within the comic? She's my favorite and I'd always like to know more about her! Also I remember you mentioning that you have ideas for what the characters voices would sound like if they were say animated or live-action, do you have any voice actors/actors you'd cast?
Hey Anonym! Oh boy, I kept thinking about this question for a while. So. Barbera is the unfiltered asshole some might fantasize about letting lose when really frustrated. She's definitely a power fantasy for me (as are all of them.) Jaune has the same impulsive monstrosity about her, when pushed to the brim. But Jaune still does believe in people and wants to be accepted an have friends and feel welcome somewhere. I imagine Barbera to sound... raspy and smokey and hag-ery with a cat twang. That's very scientific. Sorry, I do not have specific voice actors in mind. The voice actor with the best cackle who can also sound very menacing and dark. Maybe Wendie Malick (who spoke Eda from Owl House) She is the It running wild, zero fucks to give. I'd appreciate she being spoken by a nonbinary voice actor. But to be very honest... I had to look up the names i'll be naming here. I don't know many voice actors. In the beginning I had this main idea about her, that she gets insanely obsessive about a certain question and will not stop at anything to solve it. And that her main motivator for following the lady was the lady having answers. Barbera is utterly disconnected from technology. The version I had in mind in the beginning would have had her head explode by wikipedia. Then again - she would go down the rabbit holes and lose her mind at insatisfactory sources. The many years of being left to her own devices degenerated her more. She never adjusted. She'd always be an asshole. Including as a kid. Her parents are neglectful scientists, who are disliked bei their peers but brilliant. She was a strange accident and raised herself. And very happy with that. I think in a nurturing environment, she'd still not be social at all, but she might not let the It run wild indiscriminately and would have turned out a fine mathematician some day. Coming home to an unfurnished block apartment and eating the same everyday. Probably toast and Nutella. And gluing razor blades to the playground, because those damn kids are too loud. One of the reasons for drawing twisted was wanting to draw splatter. I do not like violence in reality at all. I also don't like mindless violence. Barbera lets me draw this in droves. She doesn't need a reason. But it's more satisfying if there IS a reason. She's also too brutal to 'enjoy' her oevres. The Lady could let somebody life for years. Barbera's people don't survive more than 10 minutes. Gabriel... doesn't even realize that she's sometimes killing people. Jaune does not enjoy the suffering of others, but she seeks control over her own emotions by putting all the blame on others (which usually is warranted). But she's also always been jealous and 100% depended on what other thought of her. There are many snippets that will probably not make it into the comic. There is one where she convinces Gabriel, that the incinerator in the cellar needs regular feeding or it'll turn against them. There is also one where Gabriel invites her whole therapy group into the secret head quarters and Barbera REALLY enjoys having so many people at home who will definitely not be leaving again. For the other characters the voice actors... The Lady should be somebody who can sound soultry and seductive and very cold. I recently got goosebumbs with the Voice Acress who voices Lillith in Diablo 4 (Caroline Faber) and I also really, really like the narrator of Baldurs Gate 3 (Amelia Tyler). Voice actors are so incredibly versatile - I am sure many could pull that off. Jaune als has that cracking in her voice - as if a bit hoarse from laughing too much. She should sound giddy and young (but not like a child). I've heard the manner of speaking called "Valley Girl" sometimes, but I am not sure, if that's the correct term. Maybe Grey Griffin (Azula). Gabriel is no nonsense with German accent. I'd appreciate a German voice actor. I appreciate the questions a lot! Thank you!

Because the Discord alerted me to this mix-up if you google the actress who played Hunith.
Well that can’t be right.

What's your FL character?
my fallen london player character is Caroline [Lastname]*, more commonly called Carrie (although my in-game name is Chipper Crow for anyone wondering), a stormy-eyed probably-human ratcatcher who has very strong anti-star tendencies and might have been raised by rattus faber, or at least cares for her murine housemates in the same way as she would family. she herself doesn't know as much as she should about her own early life, she's just assuming the raised-by-rats thing. closest to revolutionaries, and continues to be the sort who would absolutely die no questions asked for almost anyone associated with a month, but has also recently become more drawn to the dead grand devils, to the detriment of her physical (and probably also mental) health. all that eating glass shards and morris dancing to music that shouldn't be morris danced to and using infernal drums for hours on end and etc. adds up, you know? highest quirks include hedonist, daring, magnanimous, melancholy, and steadfast. for the record she's definitely pansexual, and probably female, although whether she's cis or trans is entirely her business.
*i never gave her a last name and whenever i have to give her one for something i just go for a different one every time. does she actually have one? opinions vary!
my other non-player fl oc is jellylorum (she/they), the Murine Taxidermist, one of the rattus faber who lives with carrie, she deals with corpses in the way you can guess from her title and makes clothes for rats both dead and living. there's also fig/the sycophant (any pronouns) whose deal is being A Cuckoo Wasp, But For Devils (the old, pre-revolutions grand devils specifically, he's very lost currently) but i haven't talked much about him yet. i also have two sunless skies ocs, beth henderson (they/thon), my skies player character who has almost no personality, and ms. brood (it/its), a curator who hoards unopened containers and has no clue how it ended up with so many eggs and so little money, honest. i've been considering using ms. brood as somewhat of an fl character as well, although that'd require, like, actually putting thought into how and why it's gotten into the neath. visiting a distant relative?

Diablo 4
The Daughter of Hatred. I cannot say that there is good in her. Morality is the privilege of people in better situations. We are beyond the question of good or evil. But the question remains: what will she do to us if I summon her? When I summon her?
