How do I know if I'm bi?

So this might not be a helpful answer, but it is my genuine thought, and I want to be honest: You know you're bi if you find comfort, or happiness, or understanding of yourself in that label. It's not necessarily about split attraction to multiple genders.

Yes, bisexual people will often be attracted to more than one gender (not just man and woman, either! Many bisexual people aren't attracted to both binary genders because bisexuality is yet another complex and nuanced component of human sexuality, which in itself is inherently complex). Yes, many bisexual people express those attractions, and yes, many bisexual people share things in common. But frankly, not every bisexual is going to have similar experiences or thoughts or expressions of sexuality. My bisexuality is going to look different than yours might because I am a different human being. As such, I think it's less helpful to say "to be bisexual, you need to have these experiences," but it's more helpful to say, "if you find comfort in the bisexual label, use it"

The worst that happens with sexuality labels is you find one that matches better. I used to use the label pansexual when I was younger - the worst thing that happened was I stopped using it a year later when I felt it didn't accurately describe my feelings anymore.

If you suspect you're bi, there's likely a reason for that, and there's nothing wrong with you investigating that further. However, I don't want you to feel like you need to Prove Yourself to even use language that accurately describes your sexuality or sense of sexuality - no matter if that language is as simple as saying you're bisexual or not. Sexuality is an important aspect of identity for many folks, and you deserve the opportunity to make it as important or inconsequential as you want. Nobody is going to throw you in jail for not being bisexual or queer "enough." There's no law that says you have to have a 50/50 split attraction to binary men and women only to be bi. There's no bisexual card we hand out to you, saying you've been vetted as Bi Enough.

In the Sopranos, there's an episode where Tony and other members of the crime family go to Italy for business. And the episode shows that although these men take enormous pride in their Italian heritage, they don't fit in with the locals nor really have a grasp on what the cultural norms or history is there.

In Sink or Swim, this is how I see the Polombo family behaving - especially the elders, when they're really a very Americanized bunch although they talk about their roots all the time.

In his forties, Pietro admittedly puts his culture on the backburner as he has Americanized himself. He knows that if he presented himself as a first generation immigrant, even amongst his own ethnic group, there will be a bit of a disconnect or a sense of judgment for having 'old world customs,' at worse.

I'm realizing that this changes when Pietro has children of his own. When they're infants, he talks to them in Italian, sings to them in Italian, occasionally reads to them in Italian. It's like a light bulb goes off in Pietro's head, in which he realizes it's important to share your culture and teach them so they don't lose touch with their roots.

He would like for them to be aware of their Brazilian heritage as well, but Francisco disconnected Rosaria and her siblings from knowing anything so, there isn't much Pietro can do about that.

Beyond that, I feel like Pietro stops presenting himself as an Americanized individual because it's not actually him. He especially does this when it comes to work. Once or twice he talks about how the food and wine he offers is authentic and not an 'American imitation.'

so this is a little tricky to answer as I’ve literally never lived anywhere else, but I’m fairly certain we celebrate halloween the same as usamericans. as in, once a year children and some teenagers go house to house dressed in costumes and asking for candy haha

only real difference I know of is that (where I live in canada, shout-out to Alberta) by the end of october its decently chilly and snow isn’t uncommon. so most costumes include a puffer jacket or similar… definitely threw a fit about that once of twice as a child. tinker bell didn’t wear a puffer coat, why should I?

after consulting google it seems that, yeah, it’s basically the same. apparently y’all don’t give out chips or soda?? we do that. find it unbelievable that you guys don’t tho. not everyone celebrates here but I’m sure it’s the same in the US, generally people will leave your house alone if you turn the lights off. I would say definitely more people celebrate than not in my neighborhood, but I’m 100% confident that varies depending on where you live. canada is huge, and just like the states vary, so do our provinces lol

my favourite part of halloween has always been dressing up, I always create some sort of elaborate costume. I’m certain I would love cosplay if I ever had the money/energy to do it, something is just so special about making a hand crafted costume to show off :)

this year I probably won’t be trick or treating (literally a legal adult now… I think even being 17 last year was stretching it) but I’ll be handing out candy!! and definitely not drinking or even staying up late because who has time to do that on a school day?? I think uni is taking it out of me. however I do have a very low effort costume planned based on a Tumblr post, so keep an eye out for that as I’ll post it if I find the time to make it <3

I had a strange dream the other day about dekugate only it was a combo dekugate conspiracy has an extra component where some people believed that deku is the son fo AFO (due to the "multiple quirks" and such) and of course deku and inko were both aware of this and evil (in the eyes of the conspiracy theorists).

All might was kind of offended that not only did people think he was cucked by AFO but also that he was apparently too stupid to realize it. A lot of the theories relied on both "obvious proof" and "poor All Might is too naive to outsmart the evil Inko". For inko, it was really just "yep, same shit as always" because I'd imagine that she probably gets conspirators going over every interaction she's had with a man with a fine tooth comb, as they are hoping to find "proof" of cheating, because Inko is awful and of course she wants to cheat on all might. (Of course, All Might being around David is just proof they're in love and having a torrid affair behind Inko's back, but that doesn't count as an awful thing to do)

there are probably some dekugaters who believe some version of this. But remember that they think their marriage is fake to begin with, so it wouldn’t really be cheating, not that they wouldn’t complain about her “not selling the act” anyway. More likely they would get it in their heads that not only is inko an agent of AFO, but he controls the whole commission and is keeping all might in the closet as a form of torture/revenge. As for Izuku, he would be “assigned” to All Might like a cuckoo bird to “trick” the public into liking him so that people will follow AFO when he reveals himself, because everyone who likes Deku is so obviously stupid they would swear loyalty to a supervillain just because he’s their fav’s dad.

definitely an #unpopular opinion but i didn't love this season of wwdits and think the show is losing steam. the season arc worked but some individual episodes were SUCH a fucking slog*. idk at this point they need to either end with season 6 or turn it into like an "It's Always Nighttime In Staten Island" thing where there's no season arc and it's just nonstop vampire shenanigans, in which case i'll probably stop watching

*the last episode was mostly great HOWEVER when you have patton oswalt a) playing himself and b) doing product placement for specific panera bread menu items...i do think that's a sign your show has—if not jumped the shark—perhaps straddled the shark

I had a wonderful time yesterday ^^ Ahhh, nihari sounds soooo good rn… my family typically makes it once during Ramadan, but alas, there wasn’t any then nor at the party… InshaAllah, next year (and, well, sometime soon, too, because please).

Still a great time, though, ofc, ofc, haha (I managed to get the cards done! …At the expense of getting to the party an hour late, oops, but was worth it, haha). It’s funny, though—it was such an effort keeping awake at night this Ramadan, but the day it’s over, I get around an hour of sleep (in batches), and I didn’t feel tired in the least bit during the party/afterwards. Like, I’m usually pretty introverted even when it comes to just family get-togethers, but I wasn’t at all tired of social interaction when I left (though, we did play several rounds of an argument-based board game just before I left, and I do love me my debates, haha. Have late night discussions for a reason—energizes me right up). My arms and back did, however, end up somehow feeling pretty sore that night and this morning (which I do wonder if that’s where the lack of sleep contributed?).

But, yeah, had a good time this Eid, Alhamdulillah ^^ Hope you do/did, too <3
