The Strawhats and their fear alignments
So once again the brainworms are strong and fill me being entirely. So I’ve been thinking. What one piece characters fit what TMA fear. (Mind you I am just about to finish the Skypia arc)
Luffy
I think Luffy fits best into the hunt, he wants to be King of the Pirates! And searches for the One Piece.
Zoro
Also, hunt. But different from Luffy, for one, he used to be Pirate Hunter Zoro, and for two, he seeks to become the strongest swordsman! Hunting the next swordsman to fight and prove he is the best.
Nami
Nami fits two, so I’ll list my reasons and add a poll after. Both fit her goal. To chart the entire ocean
Eye: I mean she seeks knowledge, not just to know what’s out there but SEE everything, map and measure everything.
Vast: Vast also works for this. She is charting the ENTIRE OCEAN!!! I mean if that’s NOT an hard job. Plus her weapon is the Clima-Tact.
Usopp
Usopp I’m using information from spoilers. But Stranger I think fits best, because of his Sniper King identity, plus he is so afraid in general I don’t think most of the others fit, and I think in the face of fear he would rather just NOT be seen. Also the LYING?! Ugh it fits so well ;-; idk I think it fits but he was harder to do.
Sanji
I was thinking Corruption at first? Just cus of his kinda unhealthy relationship with love, but everything else about the corruption doesn’t work really. Also he’s not really toxic with it. So again I think the Hunt fits him better for searching for the All Blue, though if anyone thinks there’s a better one this is an open discussion I have been brain rotted
Chopper
Flesh, He not only can be a mix of a man and reindeer, and has had issues with that from his peers and being judged for not being just one of those. But also that he changes form through Rumble Balls he made his own forms, found ways to mess with his own body to be used.
Robin
Again, eye! She seeks out the knowledge of her past. Now I don’t know her past, all I know is she is searching for Poneglyphs. And while that also fits hunt, it’s not the hunt for them that’s the goal, it’s the seeking of that knowledge to learn about her peoples past (I think, correct me if I’m off), plus she is an Archeologist! She seeks knowledge
Im doing the villains next. No one can stop me

you know for a while i considered the swamp as a whole to be the shattered vale
You single handedly started a hyperfixation.. It's such a mysterious place! That would be kinda fun to have the mountion so much closer lol. Actually, I used to think the well of souls was connected to the ancient grove and that the mountain of Malefor was separate lol.
Shattered Vale theory:
While it's never explained who lives there, the fact that there was enough people to "warn" was also interesting to me. Who knows, maybe that's where the Cheetah villages were originally, and that's why the one we see in Avalar was so small and simple in construction. Why the chief holds such animosity. I have a little HC that the cheetah aren't from that part of Avalar, but were forced there. Maybe females and cubs are hidden somewhere while the males are trying to secure a safe location for the village.
Here's a map I made with "inkarnate". I only used free assets, so excuse some oddities.
Some edits you'll notice:
-The compass is weird, I know...But I didn't want to shift the whole map.
-While the in-game map shows the catacombs to the left, I personally think they were behind the Burned Lands, taken there to bring out the Golem.
-I moved the dam because I HATE that there's a dam stopping the ocean from getting in, seemingly for no reason. I guess to make a dry passage? Maybe it was meant to stop the Ruins of warfang from folding, idk. It makes more sense that there's a dam to redirect the mountain water to feed the dragon city/lands, which is why it's such a big deal and a huge risk to destroy it.
-There's a mountain pass that Hunter's leads us through to get to the City safer, but he's captured before that, so I have a ridge there, as a way to separate the provinces. Before the volcano was erected by Malefor, this line of smaller mountains would have continued.
Lower map, Islands:
-The leviathan below, is the same one that helps Spyro in the first game, after we see some islands that resemble Tall Plains. It helps guide Spyro to Volteer. This is the same leviathan that saves him when he flies off and nearly drowns after the Fellmuth Arena, traveling all the way to the White isle.
-These are all based directly on the maps from the games, with some assumptions. The dark spot I assumed to be Boyzibig, the mountians assumed to be tall plains and the leviathan faces towards Dante's inferno, and that errie shaped island is concurrent skies, where cynder has her metals from Monitions Forge sent.
-Most importantly, concurrent skies looks very similar to the White Isle. Gems and light sand... So I wondered if the chronicler is hosted on one of 100s of small islands beside it, making it nearly impossible to find him.

Myabe the islands make more sense to the right, but given how the orginal map hints at this big area above it., it juist made more sense, yknow?
I also assume these islands are the same islands that the first game has. Back when the dragons where sent away from the "forgotten realms" (something mentioned in Spyro 3).

I don't know much about miley as a person but she ate with this one. Her and Billie calling out Taylor (idk if Miley's comment was targeted at ts but...) for being chart obsessed and wanting to put other artists down, yeah I hope others in the industry follow suit.

ugh thank god. i personally dgaf about miley or billie (why did they have phases of appropriating black culture…) but i sooo approve of them shading and calling out taylor like this. she’s literally holding the charts hostage. i think this is why swifties think she’s so talented because they mistake her aggressive marketing tactics (which increases her commercial success) as meritocratic which is simply not the case.
either way, that’s a great mindset to have and that mindset usually leads to great music being produced by that artist.

i have spent like, 2 days so far making this ginormous rhythm doctor level.
i am only 5 minutes, 30 seconds in... of the total 14 minutes and 41 seconds. and thats with me making ALL of my own effects and customizing assets.
Nico Nico 10th Memorial Medley [RHYTHM DOCTOR CUSTOM MAP] coming whenever i finish it. its like, 1/3 done
and yes i also pre-set all the BPM changes because Of Course I Did. This thing goes from 152 to 192-ish (plus a whole ton of decimals i had to figure out for the sake of timing.) (btw the bpm changes are at, like, three decimal places of accuracy here.)
This map randomly crashes my editor sometimes, and the only way i got the song to work is to pre-convert it to OGG. i'm also using all 4 rooms and it still isn't enough. Pushing the limits here.

saw this in the anti tag and i have so many things to say (it's gonna be a bit long):
one: those tweets prove further that the reason taylor keeps coming on billboard hot 100 lists is because swifties are chart obsessed and have no problem streaming her songs all day if it means it'll appear on charts. they've got nothing else going for them except 'she keeps topping the charts' because there is zero songwriting, melody, performing or visual talent in any of her songs or tours.
two: taylor distanced herself from/turned on olivia (i still don't know the details of the deja vu suing case so i won't make assumptions as to what exactly happened between them) as soon as olivia started threatening her fame. in my biased opinion, i would also say that olivia is a better songwriter and overall artist than taylor (i love her guts album), and taylor didn't like seeing that a young artist could potentially outshine her. so they're not friends anymore. taylor then latched on to sabrina because she wasn't as threatening to her career as olivia was, but now that espresso has the potential to top taylor's song on the charts, swifties are turning on her too. and if this continues, i have no doubt that so will taylor. (side note: espresso is such a fun summer bop!)
it's extremely pathetic that taylor feels so threatened and insecure because of up-and-coming 20-something year old artists despite being arguably one of the biggest pop artists in the world right now.
i also feel bad for both sabrina and olivia. imagine just starting out in the music industry, and your childhood idol seeming so eager and genuine in being your best friend, but completely flips around when you show any potential of being successful. taylor is a vile person.
also! you are my fav anti ts blog! i love your takes on all this stuff. keep doing what you're doing queen
“you are my fav anti ts blog!” omg stop 😳 i’m blushingggggggg
sorry this took me so long to respond to. personal life events are occurring and i also have the attention span of a goldfish now for some reason. im going to answer in order of your points:
one: swifties are the streaming farms they keep accusing sabrina of using. also taylor swift herself has probably bought and used streaming farms more than any other person on the spotify top 10 list. its this and taylor is sinister enough to drop new releases to block artists from getting #1’s (she did this recently with billie right?). also swiftie chart obsession just shows how insecure they are??? toxic by britney spears never went #1 and its her most popular song. i’ve never seen a fanbase as insecure as swifties because the way they lash out over even the perception of a threat towards taylor is just…so inappropriate? its such a disproportionate reaction to whatever the “threat” is (in this case, charting). like the fact swifties keep coming into the anti tag just demonstrate how intensely insecure they are. no other fanbase is so fragile they go out of their way to go and bully people for not liking their fave. like its usually the other way around, antis harassing stans. but you have swifties coming into the anti tag (where we appropriately tag and do not engage with swifties) and harassing us? for not liking her? in the anti tag? its really a testament to their insecurity that they must bulldoze anything that threatens them and their fave. which ties into the second point-
two: wasn’t sabrina like olivia’s opp because olivia’s ex cheated on her with sabrina? is that correct? that’s makes it so nasty that taylor went out of her way to purposely befriend sabrina after cutting ties with olivia. and immature! and petty! and just reflective of how low taylor stoops to make people feel like shit! not only that, but someone who is almost half her age! how awful do you have to be to do that? olivia is more talented than taylor and poses a massive threat to taylor because the music they both make appeals to the same demographic of people. the problem is olivia is actually a part of that demographic, which threatens the fuck out of taylor. how lame do you have to be to feel threatened by other female artist success all the time? and not only that, but the same people you know who adore you (and therefore easier to manipulate because you know they will trust every word out of your mouth) because you’re their childhood idol? what a horrible person.
and espresso is a reallyyyyyyy good pop song!!!

Each month it's tempting to say we didn't do much unless we did big things, traveled places, or went to concert after concert after concert.
So I'm guessing that's why each month's Month in Review starts that way.
I just forget sometimes that they really all do. 🤔
The truth is that our March was a month of regular hard work. Normal really busy days. The relentless juggling of what we've gotta do, what we're gonna do, and when we're gonna do it.
It all can feel like a bit much. Like there's not enough time and space to breathe... but these are just our normal, busy days.
Call 'em our baseline days.
So, to keep things in perspective, when we get into the other things we did in March, that's all on top of our normal, busy days. Any time we hit the road, any time we board a plane, any time we get on a bus, we are a mobile school and a mobile business so that we can conduct those activities on the fly.
And it does... it does sometimes feel like everything's happening every day of every month.
And March was no different. 😕
Around here, every day is charting, doctoral studies, post-production AI, writing, and then talking about these endeavors every day because yeah.
We're living and breathing these things. Not just, of course. Our lives are not focused in that manner. But there's definitely a juggling act going on in the center ring.
Now, we actually entered March having just helped Linzy move, thus ending our family history living on Capital Hill.
Speaking of Linzy, the musical high point of the month arrived Friday, March 14 at The Crocodile, Seattle's iconic venue in Belltown that hosted The Little Lies and Madman Across The Water, the Fleetwood Mac and Elton John tribute bands, respectively. We've never experienced a show at The Crocodile so this experience was extra special, the perfect venue for both bands. Our love of the music of Elton John was actively rekindled at this show. ❤️❤️❤️
For me, March turned out to be the central month for testing and discussing post-production AI tools beginning with Travels in Venice, progressing to Shortcut to WinCo, stopping in at Security Bot and The Seedling, finally landing at The Kunstmeseum. In case your wondering, these titles represent various test of transforming words to video, transforming photographs to video, making the character in such video speak dialogue, testing out a super low-cost Motion Capture process, and finally taking footage that was shot a specific way in the field and turning it into that same footage only shot a different way according to AI.
Mind-blowing, is all I can say about these tests. They change the very premise upon which my profession is founded.
Moving on...
March 28, Friday, we joined Linzy for her solo performance at Efeste Winery in Woodville. Always a delicious treat.
Of course the last few days of March were the first days of our travels, joining family in Crystal Cove, California, at Moro Campground right above Laguna Beach and the Pacific Ocean.
Saturday the 29th was our travel day followed by the announcement that we'd be joining a birthday party later that afternoon followed by the party itself during which a fine time was had by all. ☺️
Sunday the 30th we're on a train from Irvine Station to Union Station in L.A. on our way to pick up our campervan for the impending family camp meet. Once at Union Station, we head across the walk to Olvera Street where we score fabulous tacos and beer. After that, we continue by bus to LAX, walk next door to the transportation hub where we score an Uber to the Escape Campervan HQ about a mile away in Inglewood. From there we make our way slowly back down the freeway stopping at Taco Mesa in Tustin (my favorite of the franchise), and the Micro Center 'cause Kimmer needs a new set of earbuds as well as a power brick that can charge her laptop while we're at camp. After that, we're back to where we started the day.
If our first day was Birthday Party Day, our second day was Adventure Day.
And our third? The last day of March?
I've tried to think of a clever name for it but the fact that I can't tells me everything about the nature of the day as I need to know because the day wasn't about anything in particular expect for packing to go to camp, going to camp, and then wondering if and when the weather would stop being such a stone cold drag. 😕
Spoiler Alert: the first week of April completely turned that experience around for us. But that's how we finished the Month: on a hill overlooking the Pacific Ocean hoping for great weather.
And that was that.
Stories like our trip to California definitely give off a doing something vibe. As if when we're not engaged in some experience that transcends our baseline days, we're not doing something meaningful when nothing could be further from the truth. What I will say is that our baseline days can be a bit of a relentless river. So it's easy for that experience to play out as a blur.
One thing we do that pulls in the opposite direction, that drags us toward focus, are the daily walks. Presumably they're for our health but they also serve as brakes. They serve as pauses. They serve as an opportunity for a status check or kicking around ideas or reviewing the day or getting feedback on something or other or, if it's night and the sky's clear...
Stargazing.
We spent more time than any other part of our lives looking up at the heavens.
Don't know what to tell you about that. But it definitely, definitely pulls you out of the rushing river that is the day-to-day.
And I highly recommend it.
☺️

Understanding the Cumulative Impact: The Value of Waterfall Charts in Data Visualization
Data Visualization: Key Questions Explained
1.How do you label a waterfall chart?
To label a waterfall chart, use clear headings for each category or data point, indicating the starting value, increases, decreases, and the final total. Ensure labels are concise and positioned directly above or below the bars for easy readability. Use different colors for increases and decreases to enhance clarity and visual impact. Include a title for context.
2. How do I create multiple waterfall charts in Excel?
To create multiple waterfall charts in Excel, first prepare your data for each chart in separate columns. Select the data for the first chart, go to the "Insert" tab, choose "Waterfall Chart" from the Chart options. Repeat for each dataset. You can customize each chart's title and format as needed by clicking on the chart elements.
3. What is the impact of a waterfall chart?
A waterfall chart visually represents the cumulative effect of sequentially introduced positive or negative values. It helps in understanding how individual components contribute to a total, making it easier to analyze changes over time. This tool is particularly useful in financial analysis, project management, and reporting, as it highlights trends and identifies key drivers behind changes in data.
4. What are the properties of a waterfall chart?
A waterfall chart visually represents sequential data, showing how an initial value is affected by a series of positive or negative changes. Key properties include clear data flow, the ability to highlight contributions to a total, and the use of color coding to differentiate increases and decreases. It effectively illustrates cumulative effects over time or categories.
5. What is the disadvantage of the waterfall chart?
The main disadvantage of a waterfall chart is that it can become cluttered and difficult to read when there are too many data points or categories. Additionally, it may oversimplify complex data relationships, making it hard to capture nuances. It also doesn't show the overall trend or context beyond the individual contributions and changes represented.
