Doctor today seems to agree my fibro dx was deeply rushed and dismissive, listened attentively to everything I laid out (it was a lot - like a LOT) referred me to two specialists, and got me back on wellbutrin. I'm very excited. I was on wellbutrin when I did those two years of beauyasha writing. I'm hopeful that if I can get my emotions back I might be able to latch on again (or onto something new).

hi hello if you play video games as a way to distract yourself from your chronic pain please know that I understand and that even though to others it may just look like "wasting time" giving your brain a solid distraction from pain is a very necessary thing sometimes! my partner and I play stardew valley in the evenings and it is so nice to disconnect from my body and focus on the game. if that is the best way you have found to rest while also being distracted, then that is great! I am glad you have something that works for you. please don't feel bad about that.

Chronic Sonic pt 6
Close call.
1. Sonics aggressively green eyes are a result of the massively unhealthy amount of chaos coursing through his body. His eyes get brighter and brighter the more he's exposed and the more it eats him up. Once the inhibitors are on the access to that power is cut off he loses that glow. He doesn't really like it. (Points to whoever noticed I colored his eyes way dimmer than usual in pt 4)
2. Going super gets increasingly dangerous for Sonic but not for the obvious reason you might think. Yeah, its dangerous because its unrestrained chaos doing more damage to his already messed body. But the real danger comes because going super feels good. There's no pain, he's not lethargic, he's as fast and as strong as he ever was, there's no heavy inhibitors slamming doors in his face; it's addicting. It's the quick fix, the insta-pain relief, and the longer he stays in it the more damage it does to him, the more he wants to use it. The more he uses it, the less likely he is to stay in one piece without it. And the worse it gets outside of it, the harder it gets to give it up.
3. Sonic and Shadows relationship is a bit strained. While Sonic knows the inhibitors are good for him, l discomfort of wearing them and the rush from going super make it hard to want to wear them. Shadow is ready to fistfight him to make sure he keeps them on as often as possible and hes the one who got Tails the info to make em so Sonic starts to associate Shadow with... that. Shadows fine with Sonic looking at him less, he's busy making sure he doesn't get worse, he will punch him through a wall when he's down if thats what it takes, he doesn't care what Sonic thinks of him as long as he stays alive.

I’m editing a chapter of Pennyworth where Alfred teaches Richard how to make doughnuts and I realized it’s been seven years since I last had a doughnut and made myself sad then decided: fuck that and made myself gluten free doughnuts.
Tumblr media
Several more attempts may be needed to get it right—or as right as I can with my dietary limitations. But for now I have doughnut-shaped cake and that’s good enough.

Sekiro's resting existential malaise face never gets old to me. yeah this guys so so tired and has the hardest job ever he was raised by mean geriatric assassins and he kills 500 people every morning before breakfast (and his breakfast is a handful of loose uncooked rice and a single persimmon)

Behold the thing I have been laboring over in a mad fervor for the past week. I started it way before that, but life happened and I didn't get to work on it very much, and then there was a deadline... don't ask me how many hours I spent on it, though, I don't wanna talk about it /lh
Detail shots & ref pics under the cut! (pleaseee zoom in on this lmao I put wayyy too much detail in it as usual)

The reference to the first cover got kind of lost I fear bc I changed the pose/angle so much. But the title is at least recognizable if you're familiar with the material, I hope
also sorry these are such crunchy jpegs i downloaded them off a Hardy Boys fan website

Someone explain how I very clearly have a sinus infection and yet it's the first day I haven't felt depressed or bodyweird in a long while. Like yes I have a headache, my sinuses feel explodey, I briefly lost hearing in my left ear after tinnitus, and my nose is a faucet, but also the world is pretty and I'm good to go for work. What the hell.

sometimes I’ll be complaining about something bc that’s my right as a chronically ill person, and my parents will chime in with a “you’re in your twenties, you’re too young to be complaining that your back/hips/knees/etc hurt(s)” and I’m like, Yeah??? No shit??? You were AT the doctor’s appointments with me, did you forget the chronic part of CHRONIC PAIN????

I can't tell if I'm having flickers of emotion (unidentified) or if I just really want to, but either way the wellbutrin has been entirely unobtrusive despite the sense I get that I have taken something, and that's a win.
Usually I would chalk it up to placebo even just from a rational standpoint, but the effect of missing enzymes to process meds correctly DOES mean they hit earlier and harder. When I take a zoloft, I feel it half an hour later. Which is miraculous, but I can only take it once. Another dose within 3 days will overwhelm me and do the opposite. So they don't really help pmdd except as a spot treatment. When it's. You know. THAT kind of bad. Which it hasn't been since I started T.
