can u do the 2,5,7,13 promps with fyodor? congratulations on 5k btw!!
↷ A/N ─ CLOSING PROMPT REQUESTS. im currently on a rampage; planning to answer all asks in an hour
★ PROMPT ─ 2, 5, 7, 13
!! FT. ─ fyodor
─ 2: helping you sleep
"What is it, myshka? Can't sleep?" Fyodor said in his usual uninterested voice.
You nodded, and he paused, staring at your face with a calculating gaze, before sighing and lying on the bed next to you. He caressed your face lightly and pulled you closer towards him quietly.
You snuggled closer to him and he held your hand, shifting your face so that it rested on his chest. He took off his ushanka hat and put it on your head, twirling the strands of your hair in his fingers.
"Sleep, my little princess."
─ 5: kissing
He kissed your lips with all his might. His hands reached out to tangle into your hair and his fingers traced little stars into your skin.
Fyodor had finally gotten time off his work to spend with you. You smiled into the kisses he was showering you with, pulling him in closer. Fyodor kissed you more feverishly, his tongue slipping into your mouth and caressing yours.
He moved his hands from your hair to your waist and brought you closer to his hips as if he couldn't get enough of you. The kisses were getting sloppier as time passed, but you didn't mind it one bit, not when he was kissing so passionately.
─ 7: reading to him
Fyodor sat with you on his lap, his fingers caressing your lips and bringing you closer. His other hand held over you protectively so you wouldn't fall off from him.
You held a book in your hands, reading it aloud while he was monitoring various locations on the computer screen in front of him. He was listening to you as well as to the updates from his subordinates.
Occasionally, he would kiss your shoulder, whispering into the microphone to give more instructions to the subordinates. Then he would ask a question about the story to you, showing to you that he was listening to you as well.
You smiled and answered his question, turning to the next page. His breath fanned over your ear, and you giggled a little, shifting in his lap and watching his hands get tighter around your hips.
─ 13: brushing your hair
"Yes, that would be great," Fyodor said to his earpiece, the hairbrush in his hand brushing your hair simultaneously.
You pouted from under him, letting him know that you were faux-upset at the attention he was giving to his subordinates instead of you.
Fyodor sighed and tugged the earpiece out of his ear before picking up a hairband from the bedside table. He pulled your hair back and secured the hairband, kissing the top of your head before standing up.
"You look like a little rabbit, myshka," he said, smiling softly before moving out of the room, leaving you frowning slightly.

For Reigen Week 2024, hosted by @wings-of-scarlet-light 🩵 DAY O1. COSTUME/FASHION
₊˚ʚ ☁️ ₊˚ ♡ ゚. content warnings ⤸ reigen arataka x gn! reader. sfw but risque (under the cut). cosplay. 394 words.
Reigen has a lot of guilty pleasures and one of them is the MMORPG he helped a client with a while back (after a lengthy time away). You think it’s cute and even though he protests every time you buy him a gift card for the game’s shop, you know he’s just putting up a front because by the next time he’s playing, he’s updating you on the new armor and weapons he was able to redeem with the premium in-game currency.
It’s a win-win situation: he can unlock that chainmail armor he’d been eyeing but denying for himself since its release and you get the pleasure of seeing the look on his face when the dialog box says “Purchase Complete!” His eyes light up with more than just the glow from the computer monitor, his smile undeniable as the animation where the shopkeeper presents the new item with a little dance. It’s innocent enough but you don’t miss the slight blush on his face every time it plays.
His crush on the character was so obvious but he’d deny it every time you asked. You decided if he won't admit his attraction, you’d just have to bring it out of him.
“‘Taka,” You croon from the bedroom, “Can you come here for a second?”
His ears perk immediately. That tone of voice… He knows it by heart (and so does his dick by the way it already starts to throb against his pants). His pace is hurried, embarrassingly so but he doesn’t care. His skin perspires already in anticipation, but he had no idea what you actually had in store.
Reigen actually chokes on his words when he first gets an eye-full of your getup. Perfectly framed around your body is a well-made cosplay of the shopkeep you’ve seen Reigen have goo-goo eyes for.
“Should I take that as a good sign?” You purr after a soft laugh, strutting towards him with intent.
It’s a great sign.
Reigen’s lips descend towards yours, capturing them in a fierce and needy kiss. He’s already panting by the time he reaches your neck, feathered kisses dancing over your skin as he can’t decide just where to put his hands. You just look so good all over.
“I knew it.” You whisper against his blond locks.
“Be quiet…” He murmurs against your skin, but you just know…

Computer Code: ALEX / ALEX HIRSCH / ALEXANDER ROBERT HIRSCH / HIRSCH
Nothing will be shown on the monitor.
You will be redirected to the search for "flannel".
According to the Gravity Falls Wiki, there is an incredibly rare chance to get two pictures and some text. Text and pictures from the Gravity Falls Wiki.
I don't fancy my chances to get it myself, so no screenshots (for now and probably always).
The text says:
FACT: ALEX HIRSCH DIED IN BURBANK IN 2016 CHOKING ON A PENCAP WHILE BEGINNING TO OUTLINE SEASON 3. NOT WANTING BAD PRESS, THE WALT DISNEY CORPORATION QUIETLY DISSOLVED HIS REMAINS IN A VAT OF TURPENTINE, ACETONE AND BENZINE, AND HAD THEIR IMAGINEERS REPLACE HIM WITH A LIFE-LIKE ANIMATRONIC REPLICA MADE FROM A REJECTED ABE LINCOLN FROM THE HALL OF PRESIDENTS. MANY WERE FOOLED, BUT THE SIGNS ARE OBVIOUS FOR THOSE WHO KNOW WHERE TO LOOK! HAVE YOU SEEN HIM LATELY? HIS FLESH SAGS (BECAUSE ITS RUBBER), THERE ARE GREY HAIRS SHOWING (THESE ARE WIRES) AND HE LOOKS MORE VISIBLY TIRED THAN EVER BEFORE. (NEEDS RECHARGING.) THIS PHOTO WAS SNUCK OUT OF THE DISNEY VAULT BY AN UNNAMED CONTACT WHO WAS RECENTLY FOUND DEAD FACE DOWN IN THE WATER IN "ITS A SMALL WORLD." COINCIDENCE? THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A COINCIDENCE! LOOK AT HIM IN INTERVIEWS POST 2016. WATCH HOW HE NERVOUSLY FIDGETS IN HIS SEAT AND WILL START TALKING TOO FAST WHEN THERE ARE TOO MANY LIGHTS ON HIM. WHAT COULD EXPLAIN THIS? ADHD? NO- THAT'S A MALFUNCTIONING HYDRAULIC TUBE IN HIS ACHILLES HEEL AND RPM SETTING THAT SPEEDS UP FROM OVERHEATING. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN HIM AND A MAGNET IN THE SAME ROOM AT THE SAME TIME? EVER SEEN HIM GO THROUGH AIRPORT SECURITY OR SOLVE A CAPTCHA? WHAT ABOUT HIS BLINKING. HE'S BLINKING DECIPHERED IS MORSE CODE FOR: "BUY MULAN 2 ON BLU-RAY AND DISNEY DVD!" I KNOW THERE WILL BE SOME WHO DOUBT ME, BUT IVE SEEN A FILE OF HIS SOURCE CODE, AND IT SAYS HE IS DUE FOR MAINTENANCE UPDATE IN DECEMBER 15TH 2024 AT EXACTLY 11:13 AM. SEE WHAT HAPPENS THEN. AND WHEN YOU DO, EMAIL ME AT [email protected]. THE TRUTH MUST BE KNOWN.

Samples from wastewater in several U.S. states have tested "very high" or "high" for levels of the virus that causes COVID-19.
SARS-CoV-2 levels were found by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to be "very high" in New Mexico for the period November 10 to November 16, 2024, and "high" in Arizona, Kentucky, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, and South Dakota.
"Moderate" levels of the virus were detected in Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, and Wyoming.
More From Newsweek Vault: What Is a Health Savings Account?
19 states had "low" levels detected, while "minimal" levels were spotted in 14 states and D.C.
(follow the link for an interactive map!)
However, the data from Arizona, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Mississippi, and Ohio all have limited coverage, meaning that it is "based on a small segment (less than 5 percent) of the population and may not be representative of the state/territory," the CDC explained. North Dakota also has no data for this period.
The week prior, between November 3 and November 9, "very high" levels of viral activity were also detected in New Mexico, with "high" levels being found in Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota.
Many viruses are excreted in feces, even if the infected individual has no symptoms. This includes SARS-CoV-2, which has been shown to be present in the gastrointestinal tract of infected individuals. Once in the wastewater system, viral particles, or fragments of their genetic material, are carried to treatment plants. Testing of this wastewater can detect these fragments, providing valuable information about the presence of the virus in a community.
By regularly testing wastewater, the CDC can track trends in viral levels, helping public health officials assess whether COVID-19 cases are increasing, decreasing, or remaining stable in a community.
"Wastewater monitoring can detect viruses spreading from one person to another within a community earlier than clinical testing and before people who are sick go to their doctor or hospital. It can also detect infections without symptoms. If you see increased wastewater viral activity levels, it might indicate that there is a higher risk of infection," the CDC explains.
CDC data shows that COVID virus levels have hugely dropped since the summer months, with most regions still trending downwards. However, there is a slight uptick in virus activity in the Northeast and the Midwest
As of November 16, subvariant KP.3.1.1 made up 34 percent of COVID-19 cases in U.S. wastewater over the previous two weeks. New XEC variant made up 21 percent, KP.3 made up 18 percent, JN.1 made up 13 percent, and "other" made up 15 percent.
"There is no evidence, and no particular reason to believe, that XEC causes different symptoms than all the other SARS-CoV-2 currently in circulation," Francois Balloux, a profesor of computational systems biology at University College London in England, previously told Newsweek. "XEC is not expected to cause more (or less) severe symptoms than other lineages currently in circulation."

Luis Cabrera [FNAF AR, Renegade AU]

https://www.deviantart.com/paigelts05/art/Luis-Cabrera-FNAF-AR-Renegade-AU-1036953628
Published: Mar 31 2024
CK animatronic maintenance and R&D Robotics contract with Faz Ent has ended, but their stories are far from over.
Luis Cabrera and Anna Kwemto started CK animatronic maintenance in 2017. In order to fund starting out the maintenance firm, Luis got a job working in IT for Fazbear Entertainment in 2016, and his employment time overlapped with the time that the HW project was in development, so he was working there at the same time as Silver Parasol was working there. That is how the network monitoring system got onto his device.
Luis quit working at Faz Ent in 2017 to work at the maintenance firm full time. After Ness started working at the maintenance firm a year later, Luis started receiving red flag reports from her computer. Because he doesn't have that kind of tracking shit installed on any computers at work, he looked into it and found that Ness's work laptop and his work laptop had the tracking software on it, despite both of them wiping the virtual machines they installed anything they needed for their Faz Ent work on.
When CK animatronic maintenance received a contract from Faz Ent, things begun to get concerning. The circuit boards that were sent through to be scanned and catalogued let Adelaide sneak into the system and it started with the animatronics sometimes attacking. When the attacks started, Luis had noticed Steve walk into storage, slightly dazed but he was going to get something, and followed him to make sure he was ok and able to get what he needed from storage, only to see Foxy rush at Steve. Luis pushed Steve out of the way in time, but wound up with a gash in his arm in the process of defending him from this would-have-been animatronic assailant.
And whilst Adelaide was chaos enough, William had also been able to slip into the systems using Ness herself as his attack vector.
Luis and Ness wete not present for the Adelaide Incident's main event. William had demanded that Ness check in at an abandoned HQ so he could get an official update on why she hasn't killed anyone yet, and Luis had gone with her in order to preserve her cover story. It wound up being for the best that Ness hadn't been near the maintenance firm at the time, as who knew what William might have done.
When Ness fell mysteriously ill in the aftermath, something nagged at the back of Luis's mind more than usual. Ness's first day had been delayed by a day though due to a hiking incident caused by a flood that got both CK animatronic maintenance and Ness stranded in the woods the night before, but he - despite Ness saving his life that night - didn't know that the lady in the woods was Ness: he couldn't remember due to his injuries, but he was too terrified to ask as being saved my a mysterious lady in the woods reminded him too much of the Yuki-onna folktale, and the last thing he wanted was for William to take inspiration from that slight similarity and pull out all the stops to control Ness to either kidnap her or make her kill him of he dared mention it. After Ness's illness was revealed to be just William himself taking over entirely, it made him not want to mention it even more, as it was perfectly plausible that William would do exactly what Luis feared he would.
When things seemed to be going well after Ness was rescued from William turning her into a shut in and she had moved in with Luis, and when Ness finally seemed to have everything under control, he told her about the hiking incident.
That night, William decided to strike: he took over Ness's body and spirited her away to the megaplex.
Luis immediately reported Ness as missing.
Luis went practically insane trying to track Ness down himself, as everyone mobilised at once to try and figure out what was going on, but progress was too slow for Luis's liking. Sylvia, Ness's sister, had taken a job at the megaplex all the way across the country in advance as a just-in-case measure, and with her having to privately contact Mike directly about any goings on, someone at the megaplex was clearly forcing her into silence. Then when Mike took the rest of the paranormal department to hurricane, it was pretty obvious where Ness was being held: the only thing between Mike and saving Ness was how impossible it would be to get a warrant.
So Luis went in himself, using the account Faz Ent still had for him in order to instate himself as a technician. He found the arcades William was using, and almost freed Ness, but the third arcade didn't work. An exec tried to kill Luis for finding out about the arcades and for almost freeing 'Vanny', but Sylvia saved him by tackling the man, causing the bullet to land in Luis's shoulder instead of in his head.
Just under a week later, Ness was saved by a kid called Gregory who had used the messages Luis had left behind in order to figure out that the rabbit lady was a victim of something and that the arcades would free her. He had been able to play the last arcade as Sylvia had dealt with the other linked arcades.
Ness being freed gave Mike the evidence to get a warrant to finally investigate the megaplex, but instead of just a rescue mission, it would be a full blown raid with everyone who had ever been hurt by Faz Ent getting involved.
During the Raid, right at the end when a small task force went to try and investigate under the Raceway, Luis amongst them, Luis was kidnapped himself by Adelaide, who was able to use similar technology to the masks she used back at the Adelaide Incident in order to control him. A control that was short lived as once he was unleashed, he dispatched a bunch of Endoskeletons before turning to attack Ness, from whom a single punch broke the control modules she had put in his back enough for him to wind up out cold enough for Ness to remove the module from his chest.
After the raid whilst staying in the temporary accommodation Mike had arranged for everyone who had cone from far away to participate in the Raid, Luis thought everything was over, but then Cheryl M., Todd C., and Charles Ramirez, a trio of Faz Ent execs, broke into the flat Ness and Luis were in and kidnapped Ness. Luis tried to stop them, but wound up getting shot in the shoulder for the second time in two weeks.
He wound up hospitalised again, and was drifting in and out of consciousness, unable to help anyone. He knew that Gregory and Sylvia had been able to save Ness, and that Sylvia had gotten herself left behind in the process, and he knew when Sylvia came back with Cassie thirty eight hours after Ness and Gregory got to the hospital, but the details surrounding everything were beyond him.
Once everyone was recovered and he was home, the final hurdle was Ness becoming the warden. He was terrified that it'd fail, but thanks to Ness now being also posessed by her own dad plus with her also having access to the control bracers, it went off without a hitch, though he does worry still.
So years later, whilst from the outside looking in things look almost the same as they were back in the pre-Breach incident days, everything has actually changed, and the final results were ultimately for the better, and he hopes that himself, Ness, and now Gregory will finally be safe from the horrors Faz Ent loves to throw around.

Video Game Enthusiasts Lament that the Best Game of the Year Is Essentially Softcore Pornography

"I mean, fuck's sake," says Derek "CuntBlaster97" Przybelski, a "gamer" from Salt Lake City speaking to Facts! News. "So many games came out in 2024. A new Tekken, a new Dragon Age, a Final Fantasy 7 remaster... and basically the only games worth playing are two goddamned co-op shooters, something that looks like what my solitaire-addicted grandma would get peer pressured into trying in an alley, and this fucking shit," gesturing to the 8-foot-tall F-cup goat person depicted on his computer's monitor. He proceeded to "run" a "dungeon," frowning and muttering angrily while having the most fun he's had since he was a child.
"It's basically fucked," says another video-gamer who wished to remain anonymous. "Like, this is the only actual good game that's released since September," referring to Saber Interactive's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. "I can't play that one though or I'll get banned from my girlfriend's Discord server for being a chud. But, like, fuck's sake, I can't play this one either. What if my parents see this?," gesturing to his "gaming avatar", a two-foot tall, 200-pound opossum woman which nobody over the age of 30 would be able to recognize as sexualized. "I have Steam Family Share with my little brother. If he sees this in his library I'm fucked... it's probably the only thing I'm gonna play for the next month though, at least until the next Abiotic Factor update."
"Atlyss is part of a larger trend," according to Vanessa Dobbins, a researcher at the University of Waterloo's Games Institute. "In the 90s with the advent of the M-rated video game, there was mostly a clear deliniation between good games, which were wholesome, and what we in the field call 'slop,' which was edgy and sexual -- which at the time meant anorexic women in leather. World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment, being a good game yet edgy and sexual, was an outlier that caused changes in the behavior of Homo stupidens, the common video game developer. Now good games tried to become sexual in imitation of Warcraft, whereas slop games rejected sexuality in an attempt to seem superior to it. With Japanese gaming falling victim to anime in the mid 2000s, however, good games mostly became the territory of Homo stupidens basementii. This subspecies generally does not begin seeking a mate until relatively later in their life cycle, resulting in a shift in sexual games from the likes of Bayonetta towards more abstract sexual imagery, like the black slime from Changed, or in this case, ass-cheeks wobbling so hard that they should rip off."
An inside source at Unity Technologies, Inc., owners of the "Unity" video-game software which was used to create Atylss, told Facts! News that they are working hard with Microsoft Corporation and Sony Group to do as much as they can to prevent further good games from being released in the future. "This one slipped through the cracks, but we are working night and day to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen again."

Exposing the Dark Web Scam: Fake Pegasus Spyware Code Sold for Millions

Cybercriminals are capitalizing on the infamous reputation of the Pegasus spyware, duping unsuspecting victims on the dark web. According to a recent investigation by the cybersecurity firm CloudSEK, threat actors are systematically leveraging the Pegasus name to perpetrate a widespread scam, offering randomly generated source codes falsely associated with the potent spyware for exorbitant prices, sometimes exceeding a million dollars.
Dissecting the Scam: Insights from Months of Research
CloudSEK's report sheds light on the intricate workings of this scam, which emerged shortly after Apple warned about a "mercenary spyware" attack targeting users across 92 countries. The cybersecurity firm's researchers delved deep into the dark web, analyzing approximately 25,000 posts on platforms like Telegram, many of which claimed to sell authentic Pegasus source code. Anuj Sharma, the lead investigator and security researcher at CloudSEK, underscored the detrimental impact of this scam, stating: The misuse of Pegasus's name, logo, and identity by underground sources has led to significant misinformation about the tool, confusing both experts and the public about its true capabilities and origin. The deliberate misrepresentation complicates the attribution of cyberattacks, making it harder to determine the source and nature of the spyware being used.
Engaging with Potential Sellers: Uncovering Fake Samples and Inflated Prices
CloudSEK researchers went a step further, directly engaging with over 150 potential sellers claiming to offer Pegasus-related services. Through these interactions, they accessed purported Pegasus source code samples, live demonstrations, file structures, and snapshots. However, after analyzing 15 samples and over 30 indicators from various intelligence sources, the researchers concluded that nearly all samples were fraudulent and ineffective. The report also identified six instances of fake Pegasus HVNC (Hidden Virtual Network Computing) samples distributed on the dark web between May 2022 and January 2024. Moreover, the scam extended to code-sharing platforms on the surface web, where scammers disseminated their own randomly generated source codes, falsely associating them with the Pegasus spyware. In one particularly brazen case, a group named Deanon ClubV7 announced on April 5 that they had obtained legitimate access to Pegasus and were offering permanent access for a staggering fee of $1.5 million. The group claimed to be the first to secure access to Pegasus and boasted about selling four accesses within just two days, raking in a total of $6 million.
Combating the Scam: Employee Awareness and Strict Access Controls
To combat this widespread scam, CloudSEK emphasizes the importance of employee awareness and implementing strict access controls. Sharma recommends providing regular updates and alerts about the latest scam tactics involving Pegasus and similar high-profile names, as well as implementing network monitoring to identify unusual activity that might indicate employees accessing the dark web or IRC platforms. Strict access controls should be implemented to limit and monitor employees' ability to visit potentially dangerous sites or download unauthorized software, reducing the risk of falling victim to such scams. «I want to talk about my main job... 🔮

I think I'll be gone for an average of a week every now and then in the spring, which is nothing new since college prep has been knocking me off my feet at times, but I'm trying to make it work 🌿
However, it won't be long now before I can share something REALLY long awaited, which is also VERY important to me.
Still, steps like this really make it feel like another step has been taken 💜
In the meantime, I'll share more about slightly different news, but no less important! 🌲
So, in recent times...
Characterization of characters in Russian has been updated
Created their growth ruler
Editing of the first book in Russian has reached the 50% mark
What does that mean? 😈

It means more and more information is coming out to understand future storylines! 💚
That is, I'm carefully and gradually sharing the process of creating stories. It's a shame, of course, that I have to actually do a lot to show something, but okay, I'll explain the innovations:
1) In Vkontakte, the first part of the character specifications has been updated with new information. Some of them are clarifications, and some of them are additions. Also, at the end of the second part of the character list, I've added explanations of the characters available in the character's "profile" itself. It's about the dots and question marks.
I try to do everything according to a single template, so that, using it, you can skillfully analyze what is happening. After all, it will be especially interesting in the future :)
2) I also once decided to put all the Cuties on a ruler, so that I could accurately represent their relationship to each other. Immediately I apologize to the Fifth, which I had to break (I was the only one to draw him sitting down!!!). It's not only their height that's interesting here, but also their positioning. More on that later though :)
3) I also drew the Dates of Appearance (in the middle, closer to the left side of the drawing) of the Cuties, not counting me, and then the Nearest Pole (on the right side of the drawing) of each of them in the same style. It turned out like a tattoo :D
You ask, what is a N.P.? And I will answer with a riddle, which without clues can not solve: strangely enough, but in my animation "FORGIVENESS", in the very beginning, there is a clue to this question. And the answer itself will most likely be found in the book «Back to the Beginning». But speaking of books, it's worth moving on to the next message....
4) As I wrote in Neobook, I want to complete the first cycle first, which will be linked by various details of the second cycle. Because of this, I recently went back to edit the first book, «Save Our Souls, I'm Inside». But why the return? Let the following words be an explanation, not an excuse, since it's really important to me to finish what I started. So here goes. Due to my raging well-being, I once contemplated getting a tablet that I could carry to different places and type not only on a computer in my windowless doghouse, but instead of a small-screen phone outside in the sunlight. It's sort of not the only reason I feel bad, but given all the other factors, it's spilling over into a real problem. Active studying at a monitor in a poorly lit space, drawing, animating and writing there as well... As well as personal clamps that suspend activity of the whole body as well as the whole mind...... Basically this is what I'm trying to deal with in a new way.
That's why (I'll say it again many times in this vein, for this is my problem) both completing the first cycle and writing the second, along with those who are not in either, is an arduous process, and primarily because of my own pickiness. I'm incredibly eager to see an acceleration in this process from myself once I get in, but I'm also in the moment in no way forgetting about animations, books, or creativity in general!
So, thank you so much to everyone who wishes me luck... Your words are always worth their weight in gold 💜💞🌈💞💜
I thank everyone for their patience and understanding! I can't wait to share more with you🪻»

Apple M4 Powers Up the iMac: Blazing Speed for Creatives
Apple M4 iMac Predictions
24 Apple iMac
Apple M4 chips may be introduced when Apple updates the 24-inch iMac in 2024. Apple intends to update the Mac series, including the iMac, with AI-focused M4 CPUs. This document details Apple’s M4 iMac ambitions.
Apple M4
Apple may incorporate the M4 chip from the latest iPad Pro models in the forthcoming 24-inch iMac. Since iMacs have M3 chips, the M4 will be a direct upgrade.
Apple M4 is a second-generation chip based on the M3’s 3-nanometer technology with performance and efficiency improvements. Apple M4 CPU outscored M3 chip by 25% in Geekbench benchmark test, suggesting considerable performance boost.
The Apple M4 had 3,695 single-core and 14,550 multi-core scores, compared to 3,087 and 11,702 for the M3.
Apple’s M4 processor has a 10-core GPU and CPU with four performance and six efficiency cores. Apple uses an M4 with a 9-core CPU in the iPad Pro, but the iMac may not have it.
Other Macs will have upgraded M4 Pro, M4 Max, and M4 Ultra CPUs, while the 24-inch iMac, which is equal in price to the MacBook Air, will only have the M4 chip.
Create
No signs suggest Apple will revamp the iMac soon the last overhaul was in 2021. The 2024 iMac refresh may focus internal improvements over exterior design changes.
Computers and displays are merged in the iMac. It fits on a desktop due to its narrow profile and 11.5mm thickness. It has a pastel chin and comes in bright shades.
They know of no iMac enhancements other than the Apple M4 chip.
Larger iMac?
Despite rumours, a 30-inch iMac was still in development in mid-2023. Its release date is unknown. As of May 25, 2024, Apple has no larger iMac. Current 24-inch iMacs include M3 chips. In 2024, rumours of a bigger iMac with an M-series CPU had faded. Apple hasn’t confirmed a 30-inch model for 2025.
Expect a larger iMac: Rumours say Apple may sell a larger iMac in the future.
Connect Mac to external display: You can add a larger external monitor to your iMac or Mac mini. This maximises screen space and lets you choose size and resolution.
Consider Mac Studio: The Mac Studio is fast and may be used with a larger display for a strong desktop arrangement.
Launch Day
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman expected a 24-inch iMac M4 processor update “around the end of the year.” The iMac may launch at October or November Apple events with new Macs. Pre-year MacBook Pro and Mac mini improvements are anticipated. Since the iMac was updated in October 2023, an October 2024 release would conclude the year.
The M4 processor outperforms the M3 with a 10-core CPU (6 efficiency and 4 performance) and GPU. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing and 16-core Neural Engine are featured. The M4 iMac could handle video editing and 3D rendering.
Apple iMac M3
They expect the new iMac to have a 24-inch Retina 4.5K display like the M3 model. Apple may possibly offer more colours for the upcoming iMac, like the M2 model. The M4 iMac will be a major upgrade from the M3. Keep an eye out for Apple’s M4-powered iMac later this year if you want a powerful and adaptable desktop.
Based on rumours and leaks, the M4 iMac may include these features:
The next-generation 24-inch iMac is believed to have the M4 chip, which Apple used in the current iPad Pro versions.
The M4, a second-generation microprocessor with faster and more efficient performance, uses the same 3-nanometer technology as the M3.
The M4 outperformed the M3 on Geekbench by 25%. Apple’s M4 processor contains a 10-core CPU and GPU with six efficiency and four performance cores.
Design: The M4 iMac will have a slim, colourful aluminium casing like the M3.
Seven brilliant colors blue, green, pink, silver, space grey, yellow, and orange are likely.
256GB of M4 iMac storage can be expanded to 2TB of SSD storage.
The M4 iMac will have 8GB of starting memory and up to 16GB of unified memory.
Reports and leaks suggest these specs for Apple’s M4 iMac:
M4 Chip had 10 cores: 4 efficient, 6 performant.
Ten cores and second-generation 3-nanometers make the GPU more efficient and performant than M3.
24-inch 4.5K Retina screen, True Tone, P3 colour gamut.
SSDs start at 256GB and RAM up to 2TB.
Standard unified memory is 8GB, customisable to 16GB.
Dual SDXC card slots, USB-C connections, Thunderbolt 4 connectors.
From last update, there was no mention of a “M4 iMac.” Apple regularly updates their products with newer processors and features. Apple’s custom Mac CPUs are generally labelled “M”.
The M1 chip, which delivered exceptional performance and energy economy, changed Apple’s desktop and laptop computers. An M4 iMac may use this special silicon to boost power and efficiency. I prefer Apple’s official releases or trusted tech sources for the most accurate and current information.

February 2024 Update - Kaf & the Octonauts
Hello everyone. This is your host Kaftan von Kaffeeklatsch and you're listening to the Cosmic Millipede Podcast, the show about rocket ships, red quasars, and the search for extraterrestrial life. Before getting to today's interview, I'd like to apologize for the delay since our last episode. We've been quite busy preparing content for the new year, so it took more time than expected.
Today's sponsor is the Ghost in a Bottle Consortium. Do check out their upcoming Octopus City Simulation that's coming soon. You can already download a lengthy demo on Steam, itch.io or GOG. Oh, and if you're reading the transcript after the episode, we took the liberty of adding the latest Octopus City Blues screenshots for you to admire.
Our guest today needs no introduction. I'm talking about the infamous business tycoon, the world's wealthiest person, and the founder of Kosmomash Rockets, Constantin Mandibule. Unless you've been living under a rock for the last ten years, I'm sure you're familiar with Kosmomash's long-awaited projects: the first privately-developed rocket to carry tourists to the moon, and the ambitious luxury resort they're building over there.
Monsieur Constantin Mandibule, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to have this chat.
It's my pleasure, Kaftan. And please, there's no need for formalities. Just call me ConMan—all my friends do.
Uh… all right, Monsieur Conman. Last year was a very important one for Kosmomash, wasn't it?
Absolutement! It was also different—much more business-focused than previous years. Between showcasing our rocket prototypes publicly and at industry events, talking to potential partners, and onboarding new talent, comparatively less time was spent on developing rocket components. These activities were all essential for establishing a strong promotional foundation for this year's big launch. With that out of the way, we are currently back to focusing on construction.
How exciting! The prototype you unveiled during the Next Fest Aerospace Convention caused quite a stir among the attendees. Could you tell us more about it?
What I can tell you, Kaftan, is that it took a lot of hard work to finally get the prototype out the door. It was useful preparation for our final launch, too. For example, working with STEAM's [Editor's Note: Space Tourism Enforcement And Monitoring agency] launch regulations and cloud computing infrastructure forced us to optimize our release processes.
The feedback we received from the attendees was extremely valuable as well; while some of the casualties were avoidable, we continue to learn from every tragedy. Au fait, we just published a new version of our prototype specs a couple of weeks ago, fixing many issues encountered by real users in the wild.
The accidents were regrettable, but the altar of technology demands its sacrifices. What are some of the lessons learned from the launch of the prototype?
Euh… much of it has to do with improving the user experience. For example, our DAISY module is programmed to react to the needs of space tourists. However, as post-war treaties ban the use of AI, we have to manually write responses to every potential user query. Watching so many lab ra—err, people, try the demo helped us identify hundreds of new DAISY responses.
Another finding from the handful of unfortunate incidents was that the control systems were not very intuitive to first-time users. As the average space tourist isn't a trained pilot, we had to place large signs all over the space module—really obvious warnings such as "Keep the windows closed after launch", "Repeatedly press the red button to breathe", or "Carefully arrange the fusion matrix stack if the gradient is inverted".
There were, en outre, numerous fixes and rocket engine performance improvements. We also introduced two new cockpit views to track the current flight status: the Facts And Figures screen displays various metrics during and at the end of the trip, while the Calendar App keeps track of all the space debris collected along the flight path.
That's very interesting. The prototype must be much safer now, especially compared to the versions you tested at the INDIGO SKIES and SpaceAdventureX events last year.
Tout à fait! And let's not forget the Independent Rocketry Showcase, the Test & Fly event, and the numerous people who tried our prototype rocket kit at home and streamed it online. We're really thankful to everyone who got injured to get us closer towards uncovering the dark mysteries of the great beyond.
And closer to lining your pockets, no doubt. Moving on, you mentioned hiring new colleagues.
Oui, c'est juste. People are surprised when I say this, Kaftan, but I've been writing all of the company's press releases from the very beginning. I simply enjoy doing it! laughs. English is obviously not my mother tongue, and so a lot of mistakes were made. Thankfully, we now have a professional editor, Julia Seeholzer, to help us sort out all the there's, theirs, and they'res!
More recently, Shannon Mason, the celebrated composer also known as Pongball, has joined the team, and is already working on some exciting tunes. Some of these will be played during the long elevator rides to the underground mines beneath the lunar resort. Manual space labor doesn't have to be boring, after all!
Are we still talking about space tourists? Anyway, with all the feedback, exposure, and new colleagues, it sounds like you're on target for this year's big launch. What are you working on these days?
Like I said, the focus is finally back to developing new things. Last year we worked on a western themed area in the planned resort. We're wrapping that up while also constructing a magnificent coliseum and an underwater village. There's a lot going on behind the scenes that we can't talk about yet. We want it to be une grande surprise for our precious guests.
As for the planned launch, it's still going according to plan, and we're doing our best to meet our summer targets. With that said, the prototype showed us that no matter how much testing we do, actual users will keep uncovering all the bugs… I mean, easter eggs, we intentionally add. Quality Assurance remains the biggest unknown at the moment.
On the other hand, we've invested in a very solid foundation over the years, and everyone's doing their best to finally give humanity the salvation it so desperately needs. One way or another, I'm confident that this year is the year of Kosmomash. After all, we only need to ensure that half the tourists actually make it to the moon. How hard can it be?
Who knows? It's not like we're talking about rocket science or anything. In any case, thank you, Monsieur Conman, for your valuable time, and good luck with your ambitious plans for this year. I hope we get to talk again after the first batch of tourists make it to the moon.
Moi aussi! Thank you for having me, Herr Kaftan.

Trends to Follow for Staunch Scalability In Microservices Architecture

Scalability in microservices architecture isn’t just a trend—it’s a lifeline for modern software systems operating in unpredictable, high-demand environments. From streaming platforms handling millions of concurrent users to fintech apps responding to real-time transactions, scaling right means surviving and thriving.
As a software product engineering service provider, we’ve witnessed how startups and enterprises unlock growth with a scalable system architecture from day 1. It ensures performance under pressure, seamless deployment, and resilience against system-wide failures.
And as 2025 brings faster digital transformation, knowing how to scale smartly isn’t just beneficial—it’s vital.
At Acquaint Softtech, we don’t just write code—we craft scalable systems!
Our team of expert engineers, DevOps specialists, and architectural consultants work with you to build the kind of microservices infrastructure that adapts, survives, and accelerates growth.
Let Talk!
Why Scalability in Microservices Architecture Is a Game-Changer
Picture this: your product’s user base doubles overnight. Traffic spikes. Transactions shoot up. What happens?
If you're relying on a traditional monolithic architecture, the entire system is under stress. But with microservices, you’re only scaling what needs to be scaled!
That’s the real power of understanding database scalability in microservices architecture. You’re not just improving technical performance, you’re gaining business agility!
Here’s what that looks like for you in practice:
Targeted Scaling: If your search service is flooded with requests, scale that single microservice without touching the rest!
Fail-Safe Systems: A failure in your payment gateway won’t crash the whole platform—it’s isolated.
Faster Deployments: Teams can work on individual services independently and release updates without bottlenecks.
📊 Statistics to Know:
According to a 2024 Statista report, 87% of companies embracing microservices list scalability as the #1 reason for adoption—even ahead of speed or modularity. Clearly, modern tech teams know that growth means being ready.
Scalability in microservices architecture ensures you’re ready—not just for today’s demand but for tomorrow’s expansion.
But here’s the catch: achieving that kind of flexibility doesn’t happen by chance!
You need the right systems, tools, and practices in place to make scalability effortless. That’s where staying updated with current trends becomes your competitive edge!
Core Principles that Drive Scalability in Microservices Architecture
Understanding the core fundamentals helps in leveraging the best practices for scalable system architecture. So, before you jump into trends, it's essential to understand the principles that enable true scalability.
Without these foundations, even the most hyped system scalability tools and patterns won’t get you far in digital business!
1. Service Independence
It's essential for each microservice to operate in isolation. Decoupling allows you to scale, deploy, and debug individual services without impacting the whole system.
2. Elastic Infrastructure
Your system must incorporate efficient flexibility with demand. Auto-scaling and container orchestration (like Kubernetes) are vital to support traffic surges without overprovisioning.
3. Smart Data Handling
Scaling isn’t just compute—it’s efficient and smart data processing. Partitioning, replication, and eventual consistency ensure your data layer doesn’t become the bottleneck.
4. Observability First
Monitoring, logging, and tracing must be built in within every system to be highly scalable. Without visibility, scaling becomes reactive instead of strategic.
5. Built-in Resilience
Your services must fail gracefully, if its is destined to. Circuit breakers, retries, and redundancy aren’t extras—they’re essentials at scale.
These principles aren’t optional—they’re the baseline for every modern system architecture. Now you’re ready to explore the trends transforming how teams scale microservices in 2025!
Top Trends for Scalability in Microservices Architecture in 2025
As microservices continue to evolve, the focus on scalability has shifted from simply adding more instances to adopting intelligent, predictive, and autonomous scaling strategies. In 2025, the game is no longer about being cloud-native—it’s about scaling smartly!
Here are the trends that are redefining how you should approach scalability in microservices architecture.
🔹 1. Event-Driven Architecture—The New Default
Synchronous APIs once ruled microservices communication. Today, they’re a bottleneck. Event-driven systems using Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ are now essential for high-performance scaling.
With asynchronous communication:
Services don’t wait on each other, reducing latency.
You unlock horizontal scalability without database contention.
Failures become less contagious due to loose coupling.
By 2025, over 65% of cloud-native applications are expected to use event-driven approaches to handle extreme user loads efficiently. If you want to decouple scaling from system-wide dependencies, this is no longer optional—it’s foundational.
🔹 2. Service Mesh for Observability, Security, & Traffic Control
Managing service-to-service communication becomes complex during system scaling. That’s where service mesh solutions like Istio, Linkerd, and Consul step in.
They enable:
Fine-grained traffic control (A/B testing, canary releases)
Built-in security through mTLS
Zero-instrumentation observability
A service mesh is more than just a networking tool. It acts like the operating system of your microservices, ensuring visibility, governance, and security as you scale your system. According to CNCF's 2024 report, Istio adoption increased by 80% year-over-year among enterprises with 50+ microservices in production.
🔹 3. Kubernetes Goes Fully Autonomous with KEDA & VPA
Though Kubernetes is the gold standard for orchestrating containers, managing its scaling configurations manually can be a tedious job. That’s where KEDA (Kubernetes Event-Driven Autoscaling) and VPA (Vertical Pod Autoscaler) are stepping in.
These tools monitor event sources (queues, databases, API calls) and adjust your workloads in real time, ensuring that compute and memory resources always align with demand. The concept of the best software for automated scalability management say that automation isn't just helpful—it’s becoming essential for lean DevOps teams.
🔹 4. Edge Computing Starts to Influence Microservices Design
As latency-sensitive applications (like real-time analytics, AR/VR, or video processing) become more common, we’re seeing a shift toward edge-deployable microservices!
Scaling at the edge reduces the load on central clusters and enables ultra-fast user experiences by processing closer to the source. By the end of 2025, nearly 40% of enterprise applications are expected to deploy at least part of their stack on edge nodes.
🔹 5. AI-Powered Scaling Decisions
AI-driven autoscaling based on the traditional metrics ensures a more predictive approach. Digital platforms are now learning from historical traffic metrics, usage patterns, error rates, and system load to:
Predict spikes before they happen
Allocate resources preemptively
Reduce both downtime and cost
Think: Machine learning meets Kubernetes HPA—helping your system scale before users feel the lag. Great!
Modern Database Solutions for High-Traffic Microservices
Data is the bloodstream of your system/application. Every user interaction, transaction, or API response relies on consistent, fast, and reliable access to data. In a microservices environment, things get exponentially more complex as you scale, as each service may need its separate database or shared access to a data source.
This is why your choice of database—and how you architect it—is a non-negotiable pillar in the system scaling strategy. You're not just selecting a tool; you're committing to a system that must support distributed workloads, global availability, real-time access, and failure recovery!
Modern database systems must support:
Elastic growth without manual intervention
Multi-region deployment to reduce latency and serve global traffic
High availability and automatic failover
Consistency trade-offs depending on workload (CAP theorem realities)
Support for eventual consistency, sharding, and replication in distributed environments
Now, let’s explore some of the top database solutions for handling high traffic—
MongoDB
Schema-less, horizontally scalable, and ideal for rapid development with flexible data models.
Built-in sharding and replication make it a go-to for user-centric platforms.
Cassandra
Distributed by design, Cassandra is engineered for write-heavy applications.
Its peer-to-peer architecture ensures zero downtime and linear scalability.
Redis (In-Memory Cache/DB)
Blazing-fast key-value store used for caching, session management, and real-time analytics.
Integrates well with primary databases to reduce latency.
CockroachDB
A distributed SQL database that survives node failures with no manual intervention.
Great for applications needing strong consistency and horizontal scale.
YugabyteDB
Compatible with PostgreSQL, it offers global distribution, automatic failover, and multi-region writes—ideal for SaaS products operating across continents.
PostgreSQL + Citus
Citus transforms PostgreSQL into a horizontally scalable, distributed database—helpful for handling large analytical workloads with SQL familiarity.

Combines SQL semantics with global horizontal scaling.
Offers strong consistency and uptime guarantees—ideal for mission-critical financial systems.
Vitess
Used by YouTube, Vitess runs MySQL underneath but enables sharding and horizontal scalability at a massive scale—well-suited for read-heavy architectures.
Bottomline
Scaling a modern digital product requires more than just technical upgrades—it demands architectural maturity. Scalability in microservices architecture is built on clear principles of—
service independence,
data resilience,
automated infrastructure, and
real-time observability.
Microservices empower teams to scale components independently, deploy faster, and maintain stability under pressure. The result—Faster time to market, better fault isolation, and infrastructure that adjusts dynamically with demand.
What truly validates this approach are the countless case studies on successful product scaling from tech companies that prioritized scalability as a core design goal. From global SaaS platforms to mobile-first startups, the trend is clear—organizations that invest early in scalable microservices foundations consistently outperform those who patch their systems later.
